It's about fire, movement, initiation. This is the reset of the zodiac. So if anyone has felt like Capricorn season, January 1, they're a little sluggish, that's normal. The dead of winter. This is officially the start of spring. This is when the flowers are blooming, and this is when you're actually gonna have some momentum. That the astrology and the earth supports that. So it's very exciting. Aries season is where life begins again. Not perfectly, but boldly.

Absolutely. And even if we think about the Aries people in our lives, like, isn't that just so on brand? Like they're not perfect, but they're bold. Like, you know what I mean? They're just they're ready, they're bold, they're courageous, they're brave. So we we love an Aries.

So yeah, it's also the spring um equinox. So as Kat said, this is the astrological new year. This is where things begin again. It's the start of spring. Um, so to explain what this spring equinox is, it's when there is we're finally at this balance point of equal day and night. Whereas we are coming out of winter where the days are shorter, it just feels like everything's darker for longer. And finally, that first day of spring, that spring equinox is where um things are equal. Now our days are longer, the time shifts again, right? Um, just feels just more lively to me. Um so during this time, the sun also enters Aries, so that's restarts the zodiac wheel.

And as Pat also said before, this is the true energetic new year. Um the Gregorian calendar, right, was is not really natural. It's not in alignment with with the earth, with our bodies, with animals, just with nature in general. Like beginning something, the be like, let alone the beginning of a full calendar year, just is so unnatural in the dead of winter when things are hibernating in a sleep. And that's when we usually like don't feel that we have as much energy. Um, so yeah, if we did things according to the moon and the phases and the planets, and we would just feel more in alignment. So 100%. Yeah, definitely. Cat as Kat said, some of the key themes here is initiation and courage and maybe starting something before you're actually feeling technically ready, but doing it anyway. And that life force energy returning.

Absolutely, absolutely. Let me check something really quick. Someone's birthday. Um, I feel inspired because starting something, even if it's not perfect, is important, right? Um, and that's how we that's how in this human experience we can actually create something. How do we manifest something unless we act on an idea, even if it's not perfect, right? So there is someone that has prominent Aries. Yes, Albert Einstein. He has a lot of Aries, right? But he takes took an idea, even if it might not have been perfect at first, he went forward, and I mean, he I mean, iconic, right? I can't tell you everything he discovered, but he's a big deal, and I know he's a genius. So uh you know, so I it's just even if it's not perfect, I think that that was really profound. Um, yeah, very profound to think of it that way. Um, so yeah, metaphor. Aries is the first breath after being underwater.

Um, how do you feel at every Aries season, Sin? How would you describe that?

Yeah, um, I think that's a great metaphor. I feel like personally, and I feel like this is very Taurus coded as well. But I feel like kind of like a bear awakening from hibernation, like a long slumber, like things are like warming up, not only on a physical, like in a physical way, but also just yeah, energetically, like things are just warmer. Um, I was telling you about this winter season was really hard for me. Oh my goodness. I just had zero energy. I like just wanted to be inside. I just wanted to sleep. It was hard to get out of bed. It was just rough. It was a really rough winter season. I started taking uh vitamin D. Shout out to you for that plug. It was very helpful. But now that the sun is out and it's warm and the there's like heat, um, I just I feel back to myself. So I think that's how I feel, Aries. Every Aries season, I'm like, oh, okay, everything's fine. It's gonna be all right. Like I feel like myself again, the energy's back up. Yeah.

And I think you even mentioned like you're gonna have like a winter protocol now, like you're gonna know what to do. Yeah. And just to kind of like be like, do you just know it's coming? Yeah.

You know what? I feel like because I love Christmas, I love I actually do like winter to an extent. Um this year, I feel like Aerie season was really impactful. Um, the weather started warming up, I feel like middle of Pisces season here in California. I feel like it's been pretty warm here. But I feel really great. And like I pay for a gym membership, you know. But it's like I've been working out outside. I just like Aries season has called me to move and to be in the sun. Like how natural it is for us to be with the cyclical, like the cycles of you know, nature. And I think Aries season has called me to be more just energized and to just be with the sun. And the sun is exalted in Aries, right? So um, you know, I'm tanning, I'm getting my color, you know, it's just I feel just activated. So it's strong. Yeah.

I feel more both motivated. Yeah. Yeah. So definitely feel more clear, decisive, and motivated right now on my end, at least. Yeah. Yeah. Um, so should we get into what is Aries energy? Yeah, let's dive in. Okay. Perf. So Aries is cardinal fire, right? Its modality is cardinal fire. So fire is instinct, passion, life force. And it's cardinal, it's initiator and starter. So cardinal sign start. Okay. Aries energy feels like I want impulse, independence, boldness, raw authenticity, action over thinking. And Chris Brennan, uh, an astrologer that I respect, he says that Aries is like the knight charging forward. He's not thinking, he's on the horse and he's gone, honey. Or kind of like a guy on a motorcycle. That's that reminds me of Aries. Yes.

Yeah, for sure. For sure. Yeah. So why don't we get into why Aries is so powerful? Um, and like you said, charging forward, that's very Aries energy. The symbol of Aries is the ram, the Ram.

And the Ram just charges forward, right? Like that's a good thing. Um, absolutely. Yeah. I think sometimes people misunderstand Aries as aggressive, impulsive, and selfish. And maybe, you know, the uninvolved Aries can lean those ways. Um, but really at the heart and core of Aries, they're brave, they're honest, they're direct. Um, one of my favorite things about them is that, you know, usually they're very unappot unapologetic authentically themselves. Um and yeah, at the end of the day, Aries is the reason why everything starts. They start off the season, um, and then every other sign kind of follows suit and brings something different, um, which is amazing. So, yeah, I think you know, without Aries, no Aries, no movement.

Um, and I want to just say something like people misunderstand Aries as like impulsive, but it's like impulsive can also be a good thing, you know? Sometimes you just gotta act.

That's so true. Yeah, I think, and that's like one of the best things about Aries because I so one of my Aries friends, quick side note, Jasmine. She's like the most Aries person that I know. And I I feel like Taurus and Aries are very different, very different because Taurus, right, is so slow. We like tend to think things through very steady, and like the Ram, like you know, Aries is just like, I'm gonna just do this and think about it later. Like, fuck it, oh well. So yeah, she really like balances me in that way, and I always appreciate that. She just is like, whatever, we're just gonna do it.

I think I think when when we're together, she inspires me in the ways that I lack that impulsivity and like boldness and bravery. I'm very much more like, well, if it's not broken, don't fix it. Like, I'm good here in my you know, my comfort zone. Like, I like to be nice and cozy here. And she's like, where's the fun in that? Like, we're just gonna break that down. Yeah, we're just gonna break it all down.

Yeah, yeah. So it's so funny because like comparing, you know, Aries and then Taurus, it's like Aries is literally the most, I would say, impulsive sign. Yeah, and then right next door is Taurus, which is literally the complete opposite, like the most grounded, slow moving energy. So you really have two different energies there. So I can see how it's kind of fun being around your Aries friends. I feel the same way.

Uh yeah, exactly. And that like also just supports the theory that every zodiac sign brings something like the one before it's needed, right? Sounds like, yeah, it kind of everything follows suit.

Yeah, I would say for me, I'm just a little just gonna say how Aries influences me, I feel like, because like I'm a lot of air, and I do have my Lilith in Aries, which is definitely something we're gonna get into as Lilith, but Aries helps me get out of my head. I would love to be as impulsive as them and actually do it. I it's like everything gets stuck in my noggin. But Aries, Aries friends and Aries people help me kind of just go. Just do it, actually do it, move your body. So uh very Mars energy. Um, yeah, but yeah. So yeah. Um, yeah, did we get into the key idea? No Aries equals no movement in life. I like that. Wow. Yeah, okay, great. Um, Aries walked, so the rest of the zodiac could run. That's amazing and so true. Um, should we get into the planets in Aries and how they show up? I'm really excited for this one. I'm excited to break it all down. Um yeah, so again, guys, like we have our first two episodes intro to astrology, but just a little recap, there's your natal chart. So you can go on astroseek.com, astrocharts.com, put in your birth time, uh, your birthday, and your city you were born. If you don't have your uh birth time, you could just put 12 noon, and then you will be able to see calculate which planets are in Aries, where all your planets are, and even if you don't have planets in Aries, it's important to know which house Aries is in. And then find Mars. What rules Aries is Mars. So look for the planet Mars that's connected to your Aries house. Okay, so now we're gonna go into each planet and how fabulous breakdown.

Yeah, so as Kat said, feel free to like have your chart up. That might be fun. So as we're going through Aries in each of the planets, you might be able to say, Oh, I have Aries there. I wonder how that might impact me, right? How much how might that show up? Um yeah, let's get started. So if you are an Aries son, if your son is an Aries, then most likely your identity is bold, independent, self-led. Um, and you can kind of think of this placement as like I am who I am, take it or leave it. Like it is what it is. Very bold, very embodied. Yeah. Um, I feel like Aries, if you're an Aries son, ooh, this is interesting. I feel like if you're an Aries son, because I also when I think of the son itself, I also think of Leo's. And I think Leo and Aries have a lot in common. But I think the difference is is that Leo kind of like commands the room in a different way that's more like outward, more like external, like, you know, and I think Aries, on the other hand, also commands the room, but more in a way that's not like they're not really doing anything outwardly to try to command it. Their presence is just kind of like it's like vibrating now, yeah.

Absolutely, absolutely. My mom was uh Aries son, April 4th. We love, we love Aries sons. Um moon and Aries. This one is kind of, I always have like, I always wonder what it's like to have a uh fire moon. Because the moon is so cold, not cold, but it's night. It's nighttime, it's you know, watery, if you will. It's just I always curious how that shows up in uh Natal charts. But moon and Aries, emotions are fast, reactive, but passionate. Feels everything immediately, but moves on quickly. So you're probably not gonna, if you have an Aries moon or have a friend that's an Aries moon, they're probably not gonna sit in their emotions too long. They're gonna move on. They're just like, well, all right. Let's just, I'm not dealing with this anymore. So yeah, let's get out of here. Whitney Houston was a uh moon in Aries, love her. Um, so yeah.

Um, ooh, next Mercury and Aries. Mercury and Aries. Yes. So Mercury um is the planet of communication, quick communication. If you um if your Mercury is an Aries, your communication is most likely very direct, very quick, very unfiltered. So you're probably not gonna think a whole lot and like sit with something. You're probably just gonna, you know, get it out, maybe a little word vomity sometimes. Um, but also I think boldness comes into play here because you might be more likely to say what others are thinking but won't say. And that's important.

We need people who have that bravery, um, and aren't, you know, afraid to communicate the things that are hard to. So yeah, I think that's really, really good. I I like that energy, Mercury and Aries. Um, Venus and Aries sexy loves boldly, chases, thrives on excitement, attraction is spark, chemistry, and pursuit. So Venus, the planet of love, beauty, relationships, and money in Aries. Spicy, right? I kind of I like that.

Um, so those are some yeah, key themes here. I'm trying to remember. So my Mars is in Aries in the in the 10th house. In the 10th house. Okay. Yes.

You got your education, you've got the good career, you've got the apartment, you've got the this, you know, get it done, and you get it done. On your time, but it's done.

So Jupiter and Aries is growth through courage, risk taking, and independence. Opportunities come when I just go for it. Um, through some of my research research, um Maya Angelou. Not only is she an Aries son, she has Jupiter and Aries conjunct her son. So this her son and Jupiter are sitting really close to each other in Aries. And I feel like she had a lot of growth through courage. She had a lot of risk taking, a lot of independence. Her life story is fascinating. I mean, she went from like a mute young child to being one of the most prolific, respected writers and speakers, and poets of our generation. And so she just fascinating story. Look up my Angela's story, but growth through courage is big. I think Jupiter and Aries is expansive. And um yeah, I love Jupiter and Aries. That sounds like a great placement.

You you're gonna have to wait till all every little drop of sand, the grain, just that's what I think of when I think of Saturn.

So uh and in this podcast, we will refer to spiritualities, all sorts of spiritualities, but I do want to say Ganesh, the the elephant in Hinduism in yogi, yoga, is connected to Saturn, the great remover of obstacles, but also he places obstacles for good reason, right? So, and I'm sure in other spiritualities, guys, Saturn's connected to all sorts of stuff, but that's very fascinating. Um, but yeah, and lessons, Saturn's a lot of lessons, right?

Yeah, Uranus and Aries. It was in Taurus for a while. We had Uranus and Aries. We were in high school the last time Uranus was in Aries. Um, anyway, yeah, so radical individuality. I refuse to be like anyone else. And I mean, Uranus, guys, like it it they it's a co-ruler of Aquarius, right? So it's like Aquarius also's uh energy is like I refuse to be like anyone else. Uranus and Aries, it's that times 10, probably. I feel like completely embodied honestly, they're probably so out there. You could probably point out a Uranus Aries person walking down the street. They probably got highlighter on, they probably are just doing their own damn thing, a Uranus and Aries person. Um, but Uranus is the great disrupt, like the great transformer, yeah, and disruptor, disruptor, that's the word I was reaching for. So Uranus also, it's positive change though, but it's not gonna happen nicely, cleanly, and expected. It's gonna be like boom, yeah, you're transformed, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Um and these people are said to seek rapid innovation and freedom, how and establish structures with like bold action. Um, yeah, so I was wondering like what generation that was. So that's yeah, that's interesting.

So Neptune and Aries think of dreaming through identity, spirit, spiritual courage, um, a visionary, like in embodying visionary leader energy. I wonder who hmm, let's see. I'm curious. Do you have any thoughts on that?

Yeah, I kind of feel like Neptune and Aries energy. It kind of reminds me of like a spiritual kind of teacher or a spiritual kind of someone who's spreading the word, the knowledge. Yeah, someone who like a Joe Dispenza energy. I'm not saying Joe Dispenza is like does have Neptune and Aries, but if we're talking about like styles and to kind of have an example, people because Neptune is spiritual. Neptune is like, I believe in the unseen, I'm gonna imagine a greater tomorrow, and Aries is like, how can I do that with courage? So I kind of feel like that boldness, but adding like the spiritual kind of aspect as well, kind of is the Neptune and Aries visionary leader for sure, the spiritual warrior. I like that that's nice, yeah, Neptune and Aries. Yeah, that's important for sure. Um, anything else we want to add for Neptune and Aries? Should we move on to Pluto?

It's in Aquarius right now, um, and then obviously it'll be in Pisces, and then it'll go into Aries. Uh Pluto takes over 300 years to make it across like it all the way around the natal chart.

Like I feel like because Aries is so good with transformation, I feel like it would kind of support like Pluto's duty to transform, to go deep, but then to actually action it out and do it. Um yeah, so yeah, and then we'll get into some famous people with some Aries, um Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Diana Ross, that I want to say my Angelo. We love her.
