Y'all welcome back to Missing Monday. A short story series by True Crime consumes me. Every Monday we tell a story with a purpose to keep the names of the missing alive and to remind the world that silence is not the same as being gone. This is the space where we pause to remember someone who's missing, someone whose story hasn't faded, even if the headlines have. Today we're talking about the disappearance of Elijah Mitchell, known to friends and family as t Elijah. Mitchell is 33 years old and was living in Ridgefield, Washington. It's a small community in Clark County, just north of Vancouver, and not far from Portland, Oregon. Ridgefield is a relatively quiet city where routines become familiar and people often recognize the same faces around local businesses. And Elijah was someone who had a routine according to information shared by his family members and investigators, Elijah often walked to nearby places in town. He was known to stop at businesses like Starbucks, taco Bell, and Domino's, sometimes picking up orders through delivery apps, or simply visiting places he frequented regularly. But on February 19th, 2026, something happened that broke that routine that day. Elijah Mitchell was last seen leaving a Starbucks in Ridgefield. Witnesses say he left the location on foot, which was normal for him. After that, Elijah disappeared. He has not been seen or heard from since. Elijah is described as 33 years old, about five nine, and weighing approximately 165 pounds. He has dark brown hair and blue eyes, and there are several distinctive features that may help someone in the area recognize him. Elijah has both legs and a noticeable pigeon. They say he's very polite and kind to people that he meets, but they've also shared that Elijah struggles with mental health challenges and alcoholism in those circumstances, increased concern for his safety and his wellbeing. Another detail that makes the situation more concerning is that Elijah does not have a phone.
