This episode is a full rollercoaster.

We start with the biggest update: we officially crossed sell my art in Central Park off the goals list and had our very first art show and sale for Muddy Paws Rescue… and you guys showed UP. It was fun, emotional, chaotic, and yes, there was immediately a fight with a man claiming our spot in the park. Security went full big brother mode. I was just trying to sell paintings and save puppies.

In this episode we talk:
The Central Park art sale and how we raised $5,500 for Muddy Paws
The man who tried to bully us out of our space before the show even started
Meeting so many of you in person and why these goals-list events always mean so much to me
Why I couldn’t sleep after the adrenaline crash and recorded another middle-of-the-night podcast
My full thoughts on the Bachelorette / Mormon wives / Taylor Frankie Paul situation and why ABC really pulled the season
A deep dive into wild Reddit wedding stories

Mama Schall closes things out with producer shout-outs and motherly advice about staying calm when dealing with bullies and not losing your temper.

SPEAKER_00

Hi everyone, welcome back to Show We Talk. So this past weekend we did sell art in Central Park off our goals list and had our very first art show and it was so fun. And all weekend, like when I do these like auction events from the goals list, I'm not sleeping. You know, like I'm posting, I'm keeping up with things, I'm responding to DMs. And then last night it was finally over and I could not sleep. I was so hyped up from all the adrenaline and excitement that I was just wired. So in the middle of the night, I recorded a podcast. So we were supposed to have this week part two of Cabin in the Woods, but it said we're gonna push it back because I wanna kind of be timely. Plus, last night I was talking in the middle of the night, I was talking all about everything that's going on with the Bachelorette franchise. And I just feel like I want to talk about it now, or at least put it out now because who knows in next week something else could happen. So anyway, I want to let's let's talk about it all. But before I do, if you're watching on YouTube, make sure to subscribe, leave a nice comment, give a thumbs up. If you're listening on the podcast apps, make sure you leave five stars and a positive review. It really helps me. Also, we only have like another week and a half for the calendars. Security, throw me that calendar. It's under don't hit the camera. That was really good. That was good. Okay, anyway, calendars are still up on my Etsy page. The first month is April. You know, someone's like, oh, now you're all set for next year's calendar after this past weekend.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, but anyway, the calendars are up on my Etsy page. It's all the artwork you see behind me. And the colors are so bright. People have started getting them, obviously, and everyone's loving it. They're great quality. The link is down below in the description. You can click it or just go over to Etsy and just type in Robin show, type in Robin's bookshop. I don't even know. Click the link below to find it. And yeah, these are gonna be on sale till April 1st. Should make it April 15th.

SPEAKER_02

Tax day. Tax day. Just to rem remember to do your taxes.

SPEAKER_00

Well, no, because every Thursday when the podcast airs, people then go and buy. True. And I don't want anyone who wants it not to be able to get it.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so let's just go to April 15th tax day. Also, people asked if I would put prints up of the artwork. So I was thinking we could do that. Okay. All right, we'll look into it. You got it. I know we really want to do put oh Dr. Piano Man's home. Let me go say hi.

SPEAKER_02

All right, we'll pause.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, we are back. Sorry, Dr. Piano Man just came home, and me and him, I from day one, whenever one of us comes home, we greet each other at the door. Which, like, I hope that never ends. Someone said to me the other day, like, oh, the honeymoon phase. But I'm like, I don't I don't think we're still in the honeymoon phase. Actually, I think we're out of the honeymoon phase. You remember us in that first six months. We were disgusted.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, you guys were in the honeymoon phase.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. Now I think we're much more grounded. We just we like each other.

SPEAKER_02

But if that is grounded, which equals to other people's honeymoon phases, that's great.

SPEAKER_00

Right, but like if you look at mom and dad, like they're still madly in love.

SPEAKER_02

50 years, they're still in the honeymoon phase.

SPEAKER_00

I think it's oh yeah, because no, Richie's 60 years.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

Marriage or together?

SPEAKER_02

Marriage.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, together, I think it's like 100 and I'm just gonna love that.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, now let's get into the uh art sale, art show. It was on the goals list, and I really wanted to cross something off, so I figured that was the perfect thing to do this weekend. Every art piece was donated to Muddy Paws, which is an animal rescue. They rescued Securities Dog Oates, and I mean they've rescued thousands of dogs and helps them get adopted. So I asked you guys for some suggestions, and I said I'd make 10 art pieces that we would sell in Central Park. And you guys, I'm telling you, I should just do a screen record. There was thousands, right? Because a lot of you guys sent multiple, and you guys were so creative with your suggestions. And I picked 10, and each drawingslash painting, each one took about 90 minutes, right? So for 24 hours, I did not. I mean, I stayed up so late, my hand was cramping. But these, I think these artworks came out so good. And then Saturday morning we set up tables in Central Park to have my very first art show art sale, and you guys turned out. Now, before we get into the good, I gotta tell you the bad, the dirty, the crazy. Okay, so in Central Park, we looked up the rules because I wanted to make sure we could actually do this. And anyone can set up tables and sell anything. You can't block any of the benches, you can't put your stuff on the benches, you can't block a statue, and you can't be like in the middle blocking traffic. Otherwise, anyone could sell anywhere, anyone could perform anywhere. And you also can't reserve a spot and you don't need a permit. This is all stuff we looked up beforehand because we wanted this to go smoothly. Okay, so we get there early, we found a spot, so we set up, and then at like 10 to 12, the this guy shows up with a bike and like a carriage attached to the bike with a bunch of crap. Crap. And he's like, and I don't know, security was like kind of like setting up, he wasn't really paying attention. And he goes, This is my space. And I said, What's your space? He's like, Where you are, you gotta go. This is my space. And I said, Well, you could set up right here. He goes, No, like like literally three feet, like there was room on like the room right next to me. And he was like, No, no, where you are, that's my space. I said, It says who? And he goes, I'm here all the time. I said, Yeah, well, I looked online and it says anyone could set up anywhere. And then he starts like getting loud and like kind of in my face. He's like, No, this is my space. And I said, Look, I could move over two or three feet, but and he goes, No, I need all of this space. Which, like, no, no, he didn't. Like, and so I was like, No. And you can see he's starting to get louder, and so now security starts realizing like what's happening. So then security comes over and security's like, What's it, what's going on? And the guy's like, she's in my space. And security goes, I checked online, there's no reserving spaces. First comes, first serves. And he goes, No, no, no, she's gotta go. And security goes, Well, we could switch spots and she could go over here. He goes, No, no, I need a spot for my bike. And security's like, that is not how it works. And he's like, he's now security's getting loud. He goes, you know what? Let me go get the park ranger. He goes, because I'm sure the park ranger can settle this. And the guy's like, no, no, no, don't get the park, because he knows like that's not how it works. First come, first served. Now I see now security is kind of loud, and this guy's kind of loud. Now, Dr. Piano Man came with us. You guys didn't see him on camera, but he was there the whole time. But he's at a bench a little farther away reading. So now he hears security. So now he gets up and he starts walking towards us. And I'm like, oh my gosh, I just want to have a little art show. I just want to help raise money for the puppies. And so he's like, no, no, no, but you know, this isn't right. And security's like, no, it's not right that you're trying to bully my sister. This is her first art show. She's trying to show people her art. And I was like, oh my gosh, this is so embarrassing. And then Dr. Fian Man's like, what's going on here? And then the guy's like, no, no, nothing, just, you know, this is not right. And then security's like, look, she'll move over three feet. This will give you double the room that she has. You have plenty of room. And he's like, okay, fine, but then you know, I'm I'm always here. And Security's like, that's great, but that's not the rules. Let me tell you something. I've known you for 41 years. I have never seen you stand up like to a bully.

SPEAKER_02

You know, there's a famous saying which I'm too old for this. Shit. Yeah. I've gotten to that point where I hear something like that, I'm like, no.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. He was such an asshole.

SPEAKER_02

And then we have to do the whole thing with him right now. Right there.

SPEAKER_00

And it was so great. He got to keep seeing like you guys coming and wanting pictures, and then like me signing the artwork, and we definitely sold more than he sold. So uh that was nice.

SPEAKER_02

Don't mess with the shawls.

SPEAKER_00

Also, like, you were a big brother. Yeah. I've never had a big brother. Usually I have to stand up.

SPEAKER_02

Usually you're the one.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, was it you or Michael? Someone was making fun of my leg braces. I think it was Michael. Or CIA, sorry. And they said, you know what? Yeah, she has leg braces, but she's getting it off soon. You, you're gonna be ugly for the rest of your life. That is such a CIA thing. Like you didn't fully tell me it's okay that I'm wearing leg braces. Like he's like, yeah, she looks stupid, but she'll get it off in a year. You're gonna be ugly forever. So then we set up, and then the first woman to come was one of you guys, a kid from Canada, who is visiting with her her daughters, who are 12-year-old twins. And the daughters are also big fans. First of all, they showed up with munchkins, and the I met the mom, or mom, I didn't meet her, but she was at the Toronto show. So I think she had a picture with mom. But the daughters were so sweet. They showed up with munchkins, and then they both drew pieces of art for me. And I just like first off, they were both really talented. Like the art pieces are really good. I should show them on my Instagram, but they were just really sweet. And then, like, one by one, you guys kept showing up. And what's also so cool is like we do these now, like two or three times a year, where I tell you guys where I'm gonna be for whatever event. And I I've been meeting people now multiple times. Like, there's a few people like Ramona, who like we see at all of these things. There's this other woman who like I've probably known for like five years now, who uh I I mean, I I met her forever ago at a show. She even came to the after party at of Town Hall. Then I got to see her pregnant at the last show, and then she showed up with her baby. So it's like it's just really cool that like I it really is a two-way street. Like, it's I just love you guys so much. And then, oh, one girl was walked by and she was like, She's sh she knows me from TikTok, not Instagram, and I only talk about this in Instagram stories. So this girl lady's walking by, she's probably around my age, and she's with her mom, and then she goes, I know that painting, like talking about the butt painting. And she goes, I know that painting. Robin Shaw! She's like, Oh my god, I follow you on TikTok. I love you, blah, blah, blah. She's like, What are you doing? And I was like, Oh, I'm doing an art show, yada, yada, yada. And then she's like, Wait, I could buy one of these. And so then she was the first sale that we made. She bought the donut wedding. And so that was really cool. Oh, this is really funny. So this woman came and she's like, Oh, I'm so excited. She ended up buying one of the paintings, and you know, each one was going for $100. So she goes, she does it, she leaves, and I see the thing had then jumped up to $5,100. Like she by accidentally, because the default on the app is $5,000. You have to delete it and put in the number. So I quickly found her on Instagram and I was like, come back, like you I accidentally did the wrong. She was like, oh shit. And then I was like, I was like, message Muddy Paws, I will message Muddy Paws also. So we were able to take care of it. But it was really funny because on the website the whole time it was saying $5,000 more than we had actually raised. And people are like, because I'd be like, we just hit $3,000. And people would message me, like, no, you hit $8,000. I'd be like, no, I did not. Although at the end, we did break $5,000 and crossed it off the goals list. Actually, we're at $5,500 currently.

SPEAKER_02

That's great.

SPEAKER_00

We're going tomorrow to hand in the check. Actually, when you see this, we'll have already handed in the check. But all in all, it was an amazing day. All right, so last night I could not sleep. I was so excited. So in the middle of the night, I came in to record another middle of the night podcast. I called you.

SPEAKER_02

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like you and mom are great people in the middle of the night to wake up. If you're calling me three in the morning, it's a podcast.

SPEAKER_02

I knew it. I knew it was the podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Um, no, but what I'm saying is like if I call you or mom at any hour, the two of you are such uppers. Neither one of you are like annoyed. No. Is it because you're easily can go back to sleep?

SPEAKER_02

I can easily go back to sleep.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think that's mom too. See, me, I can't. It's almost like Dr. Pianelman wakes me up sometimes to give me a kiss. Okay. Also, I'm like, I'm gonna be up at two hours anyway. Alright, so now we're gonna throw it back to past Robin. Well, 12 hours ago, Robin. Middle of the night, Robin. I just want to do a little disclaimer. I'm going to be talking about everything going on with The Bachelorette, and it's all about domestic violence. So, I mean, I also do Reddit funny stories, so it's still a light episode. And even while I'm talking about The Bachelorette, it's in a very light way. I talk more about the business aspect of it, but I just do want to give a little disclaimer that it is about domestic violence. Like that part is really heavy, and and I I understand if this is like an episode you want to kind of skip through towards like the end of it. I do speak about her more in the first half of it, so you could just skip through till I get to the Reddit stories if you just don't want to hear it. And I also just want to give a second disclaimer that I've never been in a domestic violence relationship. So you can listen to this and say, Robin, you are so out of touch. And I probably could be. So everyone's feelings are so valid and so justified when it comes to this topic. Just want to give that disclaimer because, you know, it's it's a serious thing. And so even if I'm, you know, talking about it nonchalantly, I'm talking about it nonchalantly, a little bit more about the business end of it, not about the the situation in hand. So, all right, that's it. Shall we start? Let's get into it. All right, let's go to pest robin. Hi everyone, welcome to oh wait, I don't know. This will probably be in the middle of the episode. I don't know. It's like two in the mor two something. Uh okay. It'll probably be in the middle of the episode. So we did the art show this weekend, and I just have to say, like, we've done a lot of these over the last 10 years where I use my social media platform and we like have we have fun and at the same time we're able to give back, and that's like my favorite way to do it. What do you guys want to talk about? Oh, are you guys following everything that's going on with the bachelorette? Okay, for someone like my mom who has no clue, like she's probably seen all the articles of like the bachelorette being canceled, but she probably has no clue what's going on. So if you have no clue what's going on, first I'll fill you in and then I'll tell you my thoughts because I have seen your guys' messages asking what my thoughts are, and it's kind of heavy, so I haven't really just like like said anything on insta stories because I think you can't really sum it up in 60 seconds. So here's what happened back in 2020, there was this woman called Taylor Frankie Paul, and Taylor started mom talk. It was a bunch of moms in Utah, and they'd all get together and they would do TikToks and they kind of blew up. Anyway, I don't know if it was like 2022, I think it turned out that Taylor and a bunch of these mom TikTokers were into what they called soft swinging. What soft swinging means, I don't know. I think it was like they all just hooked up with each other's husbands and wives, but I guess like no sex. I don't know. Either way, they called it soft swinging. And the reason why this came out is because apparently Taylor and another couple in the group, the husband and her, were like having an affair. Because apparently the way swinging works is you could do it at the parties, but not in private. Or so I don't know. Something to their facts. Anyway, this all blew up and it was this huge drama, yada yada yada. Well, wouldn't you know it? Hulu. I think it was Hulu, yeah. Hulu gave them the show, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. That's definitely not the title. The secret, yeah, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. I don't know, something like that. And it's been on for like two or three years. Anyway, on like the first episode, now I need to say I've not seen one episode, so I don't know any about the show. I'm just knowing about this because I've been watching a lot of TikToks. So if I'm saying misinformation, don't quote May. So Taylor and her husband, Tate, got divorced. They had two kids, by the way. They got divorced, and then she started dating a guy named Dakota. On the like the first episode or in the first season, Taylor goes to jail because Taylor and Dakota got into a fight, and I guess a neighbor called the cops, and she had thrown a chair at him, and she went to jail for domestic violence. So this was on season one, which was in 2023. She's been on podcasts, specifically two that I saw clips from today, where she talks about how she went to jail because you know there was domestic violence, and there was, you know, like she was wrong and she, you know, crossed the line. Okay. So this came out a while ago. Well, at the end of last year, the Bachelor franchise announced that for the next season of The Bachelorette, this woman, Taylor, was going to be the lead, the Bachelorette that dated 27 men. And here's the thing is 99% of the seasons, and they've had 20 seasons of The Bachelorette and 20 seasons of The Bachelor Plus, they always usually pick someone from the season before. Here they were picking someone new, a quote unquote celebrity, because I think they're trying to get up their ratings because the last few seasons have tanked. Now, I haven't watched I used to from season one till season like five seasons ago, I watched every season. I was such a huge fan. But then the last five years have been so boring that I just like could not. And apparently I'm not the only one. So they wanted to bring in someone spicy entered Taylor. Now, I repeat the domestic violence charges against her happened in 2023. They casted her in this at the end of 2025. We're now in 2026. Okay. Now Taylor and Dakota have been on and off, on and off. Now, as they've been filming season four of the Mormon Housewife show, she has been hooking up with him again. So much so that on the show they have shown like the lead up to her going on The Bachelor. And also needs to be said, she slept with Dakota the night before she left for filming for The Bachelorette. This is all important info. Well, like three weeks ago, they halted filming of the Mormon Wives show because Dakota and Taylor got arrested again or had domestic violence charges again, okay? She already recorded the season of The Bachelorette, okay? Even though the night before she slept with Dakota. She then went, filmed the season of The Bachelorette. They're done filming. It's supposed to air either this upcoming Sunday or maybe it was supposed to air last night. I'm not sure. But anyway, maybe it was supposed to air last night. Anyway, about two weeks ago, they're currently filming the Mormon Housewives, you know, the Secret Lives of Mormon Housewives, and they halted filming because her and Dakota got into another domestic violence fight. So they halted filming. And so now she's on the press tour to get ready for the Bachelorette. And this is starting to come up in the tour, like, hey, here you're having some drama. They halt filming, and clearly the ABC Disney reps are with her, you know, and she's like kind of dancing around the answers. Okay, well, this past Thursday, the video from 2023 of where she was throwing the chair at Dakota and got these domestic violence charges against her and went to jail, the video gets sent to TMZ. Who sent it? Probably Dakota. Because again, it's just never released. Only the judge in courts have it. Like no one else has it. If not Dakota, someone in Dakota's camp sends it to TMZ. TMZ releases it. And the video is bad. When I say it's bad, I mean it's bad. She is very drunk at it, which is her words. She said that on the podcast. She's screaming at him. She picks up like a stool chair, you know, from the counter, chucks it at him, and he's like trying to push her off. And then he's like, Your daughter from the first marriage is right there, like on the couch. You don't see her in the video. And she picks up another chair and throws it at him. And then all of a sudden you hear the little girl like crying because it it's under it's clear that the chair must have hit her. The video is really bad, really, really bad. So this gets released Thursday, and all of a sudden the internet's like, they they can't air this season of The Bachelorette. This can't be the the I mean the video. Was so bad. And a lot of other people were saying, This happened in 2023. She went to jail. She's quit drinking. Like, why is this coming out now? And then for like 24 hours, it was like, what she won't she? What's gonna happen? And then Friday, Disney ABC announced they're pulling the whole season of The Bachelorette. Now, okay, so that's the story. I will tell you my professional pre sorry guys, I'm a little tired. I will give you my professional opinion as someone in the industry. I at first said, no way they're canceling it. It costs millions to put together this show. Plus, they're gonna make millions airing the show. It's a huge show for ABC. There's no way they're canceling. Like, there's no way. And then Friday they canceled. And I said, it has to be that advertisers pulled out. That has to be why. There's no way ABC and Disney didn't already know. It was they, of course, they knew. I know I'm friends with people on that show. I know they go through extensive background checks. You get STD checks, you get psych checks, you get, I mean, like they go through everything. Plus, this has been public knowledge that she went to jail for domestic violence. Like they knew this, so why cancel? And I said, it must be advertisers pulled out. And I was right. Advertisers one by one were pulling out of the season. And without advertisers, you just can't, you can't. So I don't think Disney and ABC were on such like a high ground, like, oh my god, we saw the video. I mean, they claim that's why, but it's like they know. I'm telling you, they know. As far as my opinion, should it been canceled? Yeah, yeah, yes. And I'll say this: I wanted to watch it. Like, I wanted to watch it, uh, I wanted to watch it. They had to cancel it. And there's so many different arguments on whether, like, this happened three years ago. She's sober. Well, she just got in trouble again a couple of weeks ago. Then I've seen other people saying, well, this is reactive domestic violence. Like, he's like pushing her to the limit. And that may be, that may be. Some people may be pushed so much by someone, a narcissist or an abuser that they then snap and fight back. Very possible. But the thing is, this woman did go to jail for domestic violence. This woman did just get charged again. Like, to then normalize all this and make her the woman that all these men are fighting over. Like, and look, there's a double standard because there are so many athletes and actors and politicians that have domestic violence charges and still get to keep their career. I'm not saying there isn't a double standard here. There is. There is. And she needs help. Like, you know, I think that's ultimately it. Like, she needs help, and her focus should be your kids. And the video is really bad. And don't go look, look at it. It'll won't make you feel good. But I think ABC and Disney knew, and they're pulling because of money. I think it's good. She needs to get out of the spotlight for a little bit and just like focus on getting healthy and her kids. Because as of right now, that that first husband of hers saw the video this week, also. And I believe he like went to the courts to get the daughter, and now he is custody for two weeks. Oh, there is a drama. Like, this woman needs to just, it's fine. You know what? If the if they air the episode, she's gonna have to do press tours and she's gonna be in the public eye. Get out of the public eye, get help, get your children. Like, I think all of that needs to be the priority. And I don't think this guy is a winner. Like, he clearly is not a good guy, and he too needs to get help and all of that stuff. So, ABC, you knew. Taylor, take care of yourself. Make sure your kids are okay. Dakota, we know you sent it to TMZ. Alright, those are my thoughts. I think I covered that pretty well. I don't know. I don't know. Anyway, I don't know. I was looking forward to the season. I really was. You know, everyone kind of you knew it was gonna be a little bit of a train wreck. Maybe I'll watch the Mormon Wives show. I don't know. Let's move on. I looked up on Reddit crazy wedding stories. This is definitely not gonna help with my anxiety, but let's do it. Let's go there. I'm not pre-reading it, so if these are boring or offensive, we can't blame me. Okay. Okay, so this happened at my cousin's wedding last summer, and I still can't believe it. For context, my cousin, the bride, and her older sister have always had a complex relationship. The sister has a history of making everything about her. Birthdays, holidays, even someone else's graduation. She'll find a way to redirect attention. Anyway, the wedding is beautiful, outdoor ceremony, everyone's emotional, the whole thing goes perfectly. Fast forward to the reception, we're about to start speeches, and I noticed the sister keeps getting up and whispering to different people. At first I thought maybe she was coordinating something sweet. Nope. Turns out she had brought a little gift bag with her and had baby booties inside, and she was planning to surprise everyone during the speeches by announcing she's pregnant, like at her sister's wedding. Here's where it gets wild. Apparently, my cousin the bride had been warned about this possibly weeks before. Someone in the family tipped her off that the sister was planning something big about being pregnant. So the bride quietly told the wedding coordinator and venue staff to keep an eye and make sure this doesn't happen. Right before speeches started, the sister goes to the bathroom with the gift bag, I guess to prep for her big moment. One of the coordinators follows her, confirms what's in the bag, and then this is where the insane part happened. They rip the bag out of her hands. My cousin and the coordinator started screaming at each other, and we were all able to hear from outside the reception hall. So while speeches are happening, the sister is literally screaming. Meanwhile, the best man and maid of honor continue with their speeches. My other cousin, the bride, is just sitting there smiling, telling her best friend and the best man to continue the speeches and ignore the screaming. After the speeches are done, my other cousin comes out crying, and the bride's just smiling and said, Oh, we're keeping speeches short, and like wouldn't let her talk. The sister ended up leaving early. The kicker, the bride told me later she didn't even feel bad. She said, I knew if she got the mic, it was gonna become her day. Not this time. Honestly, I kind of respect it. Okay. This is insane. Okay, well, first off, let's call the bride Melissa and let's call the sister who's pregnant Stacy, just so we could have. Okay. So Melissa the bride and Stacy who's pregnant. Stacy's wrong. If you have a big announcement, doing it at someone's wedding is not the time unless you speak to the bride first, and together you decide on it, right? So let's say you want to propose, you don't do it at someone else's wedding unless you speak to the bride and the bride is like 100% okay with it. But honestly, it's just not the time. Like at someone's wedding, that's like truly about their marriage. If the bride and groom want us to, like maybe, like I know my wedding's on the same day as my aunt's birthday, and so like I definitely want to sing happy birthday to her. You know, I want her to feel loved and and you know, all the things. So it's different. And maybe two sisters are close, and she says to maybe Melissa says to Stacey, why don't you tell everyone at the wedding? Like, let's, you know, that I could see, you know, me and my brothers are so close. If if you know CIA had a big announcement, like let's say him and Mrs. CIA were pregnant, I'd be totally fine them announcing it at the wedding. I would actually love that to make the wedding more epic, but it's my choice, and it should be my choice as the bride. So Stacy is wrong. Now, Melissa just letting them scream and continue with the speeches is so epic, and I I admire that 100%. That's wild. I've been seeing all over TikTok like you see people's true colors when you're getting married. I have to say, and I know we're still six months out. Oh my gosh, we're under six months out. What's today's date? Oh no, we're six months out. We're six months out. Anyway, everyone's been absolutely lovely. Granted, I didn't needed anything from anyone, but everyone's been absolutely lovely. Okay, should we read another one? OMJ. So I was recently a bridesmaid in a wedding, and I swear I've aged five years that night. The groom is one of those life of the party guys, loves attention, always pulling pranks, big personality. Leading up to the wedding, he kept hinting that he had a huge surprise planned for the reception entrance. Wouldn't tell anyone what it was, kept saying, trust me, it's gonna be legendary. We all assumed it was something harmless, maybe a choreograph dance or something. Reception starts, bridal party gets announced, everyone's cheering, normal stuff. Then they announce the groom. And instead of walking in through the doors like a normal person, we hear this loud rivering sound outside. Next thing we know, the doors swing open and he comes flying in on what I can only describe as a small dirt bike, indoors, in a ballroom, in a tux. At first, people are laughing because it's so absurd. He's circling the dance floor like he's in some kind of show, waving, loving the attention. The DJ is hyping him up, the crowd is cheering, the bride is not smiling. Wait, why is the bride and him not coming in together? Does that how you you like I in my head? I was going in with Dr. Piano Man. All right, anyway. And then it goes wrong. He tries to do a sharp turn to park dramatically in front of the sweetheart table, but the floor is polished marble. The bike completely slips out from under him and he goes down hard, like loud thud. Everyone gasps, music cuts off immediately. For a second, nobody moves because we all think maybe this is part of a bit. It was not part of a bit. He's on the ground, not getting up, and you can just see panic ripple through the room. The bride runs over, people start crowding, someone calls 911. Turns out he messed up his shoulder pretty bad. Later, we found out it was dislocated and he had a minor fracture. The bride kept trying to keep the party going, which honestly I give her credit, but the vibe was completely shot. Half the guests left early. The dance floor was basically empty. Sorry for laughing. And the best part, his legendary moment is now the thing everyone talks about. I mean, that is legendary now, but not in the way he imagined. More of the story. Maybe just walk in like a normal effing person. Okay, I'm a little nervous because I don't want to do a spoiler, but I have like a legendary way I want to come in to the reception, and now I'm rethinking everything. It's not a motorcycle, but I had this idea, and now I don't know if I should do it. By the way, I'm not having like the bridal party come in. Like everyone's just gonna be in the reception, and then in my head, me and Dr. Piano Man were gonna come in, but we're gonna come in in such a fun way. And this may, guys, do you think this was the universe? Like, what are the chances I'm up? I decided, like, let's do a podcast. I decided to Reddit crazy wedding stories. I think this was a sign. Oh, I had such a good idea though. Alright, let me think on it and then I'll tell you the idea if we end up not doing it. No, it's such a good idea, but honestly, I could get hurt. I could. Alright, I'll have to think on it. Uh now I don't know if I should. Alright, in the comment section below, how what do you think my legendary entrance idea is? I'm trying to think if we should go to bed. Should we call security? You're probably like, Robin, you're such a brat. Let him sleep. No, because if he finds out that I recorded and I didn't call him, he would actually be I don't know if he'd be upset, but he wears a C Pack. Did you answer with your mask on? Hi, I'm recording the podcast. I I just said, I said, I know people are gonna think I'm a brat, but I have a feeling like if you found out tomorrow that I was recording the podcast and didn't call you, wouldn't you be like, why didn't you call me?

SPEAKER_02

Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

I'm tell wait, so I need to ask you a question.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So I was reading Reddit horror stories on about weddings.

SPEAKER_02

All right.

SPEAKER_00

And so one of them was this guy entered like the reception on a like a motorcycle and then fell and look like dislocated his shoulder. Did I tell you my idea on how I want to enter the reception?

SPEAKER_02

Am I allowed to say it or I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Say it and then we could beep it. Bleep it.

SPEAKER_02

Are you yes? Okay, so yeah, I'll bleep it out.

SPEAKER_00

Bleep that out. Okay. I think it would be so epic. Yeah. But then the I don't know if it's a sign from the universe that I can't sleep, and I read like because that the Reddit story ended with like, just like let this be a tale for people. Just freaking walk in.

SPEAKER_02

No, but you know what? We've seen other people, I think, go in this way.

SPEAKER_00

You have?

SPEAKER_02

I think so.

SPEAKER_00

I've never. What have you gone to where you've seen someone enter that way?

SPEAKER_02

Oh no, I I've seen videos.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so you're saying stick with it, right? Like stick with it. I'm getting married one time, make it epic.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

See, this is why we're siblings.

SPEAKER_02

And if you fall, make a great video.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, then we'll go viral. Exactly. It's a when when. Mm-hmm. All right, how are you? What are you doing?

SPEAKER_02

I can wake up in a few hours to walk.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I'm kind of tired too, so I'm gonna go to bed.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, thanks for calling.

SPEAKER_00

All right, you know any call any call any time. We should just make your number public so that and the kids all know. Like, if you're anxious or can't sleep, call security. You know, well, mom always said that. Like, mom has like this rule like we could call her anytime. She doesn't care. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Inelible.

SPEAKER_00

All right, I'm sleepy. So talk to you later.

SPEAKER_01

Good night.

SPEAKER_00

Bye-bye. All right, guys, let's go to bed. All right, and we're back to present Robin. Although, whenever they listen to this, everything's past Robin.

SPEAKER_02

Well, technically, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, this episode's is super high production value thus far. Like nothing's gone awry. Now I am waiting for the day that food case falls on you. Or that chair breaks.

SPEAKER_02

One of the two. As long as the camera's rolling.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

All right. Let's call Mama Shaw for our producer shout-outs and our motherly advice. If you'd like to join Patreon, click the link below or just head over to Patreon, type in Shaw We Talk or Robin Shaw. And yeah. All right.

unknown

Hi.

SPEAKER_00

Hi. Welcome to Shaw We Talk.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

How are you?

SPEAKER_01

I'm good.

SPEAKER_00

So I already know the answer, but you watched a long whole weekend while we did the art sale.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely. I am so proud of you and the kids. I mean, this was a big undertaking. And everything just went so smoothly and so nicely. Almost smoothly.

SPEAKER_00

What's that supposed to mean?

SPEAKER_01

Well, that guy who Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, guys. So when I in my Insta stories, like in real time, I made an insta story saying security just got into a fight with one of the the guys here. And then within seconds of posting that, Mama Shaw calls and said, Who's fighting with security? Do I need to get down there? Yeah, you need me down there. All right, you ready for your producer shout outs?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I am. We want to thank all the Patreons, and I want to give a shout out to those in the producer tier. We have Susan Santero, Santero. Wait, Sun Santaro, Santero. Veronica.

SPEAKER_00

I say Santaro. I say Santaro. Santero, Santaro. Let's call the whole thing off. No, it's perfect.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, we want to thank Susan Santaro, Veronica and Deanna, Thomas Eyes, and Dr. Piano Man. And I want to thank all the Patreons and I want to thank all the kids for showing their support to Robin and the arts.

SPEAKER_00

Beautiful. All right, you ready for your motherly shout out?

SPEAKER_01

No, my motherly advice.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, yeah. Sorry. Both of you. The two of us. All right. Your motherly shout-out. I want to shout out me for being your mother. Okay. What's your motherly advice?

SPEAKER_01

Well, thinking about that guy, and was it the way he interacted? That's just like being confronted by a bully. So many times, and I told you and I told my you know, was it security and CIA many times? Don't lose your temper. Stay calm. And what is it? What if you start cursing or you know, yelling really loud? You're gonna lose the argument. So the best thing is to stay calm and just state what you have to you know do. Or like what is it? You might have to seek out a person of authority. Like you say, because I'm gonna get the park ranger. Or what is it? Maybe an officer who, you know, is walking around.

SPEAKER_00

Although stitch uh snitches get stitches, Deborah.

SPEAKER_01

Not well, it all depends on how you do it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like don't snitch on someone if they have an underground illegal journal ring, but you could snitch if someone's bullying you.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you're oldie. Get oldie.

SPEAKER_00

Odies of authority.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

All right, thank you for your motherly advice.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, everybody have a good day.

SPEAKER_00

Uh uh. Love you bye. I hope I don't bully you. Join Patreon to find out. Join Patreon. Oh my gosh. All right. Thank you everyone for watching. Producers, thank you so much.
