Hello, Sunil Geira here. Back on my channel better than yesterday. Today's topic is rich versus poor mindset. The difference is shocking. So let's start. Two people live in the same city, same opportunities, same economy, but after 10 years, one is financially free and the other is still struggling. What changed? Not luck, not education, not even income. The real difference is mindset. And today I'm going to show you with real Mumbai and global examples how the rich mindset and poor mindset think completely differently. And why that difference is shocking. Let's take Mumbai. In one lane, you'll find a Chaiwala earning rupees 20,000 a month. In the same area, a small shop owner earning rupees 2 lakhs. And just a few buildings away, someone making rupees 20 lakhs a month. Same city, same 24 hours, same chaos. So what creates this massive gap? It's not just hard work because everyone in Mumbai works hard. The difference is how they think about money, risk, and opportunity. Poor mindset versus rich mindset. Core differences income versus growth. Poor mindset focuses on earning. Rich mindset focuses on growing. Example: an e-commerce delivery executive works extra hours to earn more. A small entrepreneur hires two more riders and builds a system. One is trading time, the other is building scale. Safety versus opportunity. Poor mindset says play safe. Rich mindset says take calculated risk. In Mumbai, many people stay in the same job for 20 years for security, but others take risk. Start something small, fail, learn, and grow bigger. Maybe a small hardware shop near CST station. Risk is not the enemy. Uninformed risk is spending versus investing. Poor mindset spends first, invests later if anything is left. Rich mindset invests first, spends what remains. Examples. One person upgrades their phone every year. Another invests the same EMI into SIPS or a small business. After five years, the difference is massive. Complaining versus creating. Poor mindset complains. Mumbai is expensive. Rich mindset asks, how can I earn more in the expensive city? Same problem, completely different response. Now I'll come to what is mindset? Your mindset is your default way of thinking about money, risk, and opportunity. Global reference, Rich Dad, poor dad by Robert Kiyosaki. Examples. Poor mindset, work for money. Rich mindset, make money work for you. Key insight, your financial life is a reflection of your repeated thoughts and decisions. Difference earning versus building. Poor mindset focuses only on earning a salary. Rich mindset focuses on building assets. Global examples, Warren Buffett didn't rely on salary. He invested consistently and built wealth over decades. The poor work for money. The rich build systems that generate money. The difference in spending versus is investing. Poor mindset, earn, spend, repeat. Rich mindset, earn, invest, grow, spend what's left. Example, two people earn the same one lakh per month. One upgrades lifestyle, one invest rupees 20,000 per month. After 10 years, massive difference. Concept compound interest. Small consistent investment creates exponential results. The difference fear versus learning. Poor mindset, avoid risk. What if I lose money? Rich mindset, learn. What can I earn even if I fail? Global example: Elon Musk raised his own money in multiple ventures facing failures before success. Keen sight. Fear keeps you stuck. Learning moves you forward. Difference short-term versus long term. Poor mindset, instant gratification, rich mindset, delayed gratification. Jeff Bezos focused on long-term growth over short-term profits while building Amazon. Key insight: wealth is built slowly but lost quickly. Difference limited versus abundant thinking. Poor mindset, opportunities are limited. Rich mindset, opportunities can be created. Oprah Winfrey came from a challenging background and built a global media empire. Your starting point does not define your financial freedom. Financial future. It's how they think about money. The shocking truth: many people with high income still have a poor mindset. And many with low income are building a rich mindset. I have seen people earning rupees 1 lakh per month, but living paycheck to paycheck. And I have seen small vendors quietly investing, expanding, thinking long term. So this is not about your current income, it's about your thinking pattern. Your mindset today is silently designing your financial future. How to shift your mindset? Let's make this practical. How do you shift? Start thinking in assets. Ask yourself daily what asset I'm building: skills, business, investments, something that grows. Upgrade your circle. In Mumbai, your network is anything, is everything. Spend time with people who think bigger than you. I'll give you a few examples. Circle of friends have been Larry Page of Google, Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal, Steve Jobs had circle of friends like Bill Gates, Tim Cook, Larry Ellison. So you must not quit everything overnight. Start small, side hustle, investment, content creation, learn continuously. The rich mindset is always learning. Money, business, people. So next time you feel stuck, don't just ask how I can earn more. Ask a better question. Am I thinking like a rich person or a poor person? Because the truth is your bank balance doesn't decide your future. Your mindset does. If this changes your perspective, don't forget to subscribe to Better Than Yesterday because the small mindset shifts can create massive life changes. See you in the next episode. Bye.
