Well Connected Chiropractic: Why Precise Imaging And Gentle Corrections Help Your Spine Stay Aligned
Imagine chiropractic care that prioritizes stability over force and uses a 3D map of your neck to guide a gentle, precise correction. That’s the promise of the Blair Technique focusing on upper cervical care, and Dr. Elizabeth Hoefer (Hay-fer) of Well Connected Chiropractic walks us through how this approach helps patients get lasting results without the twist-pop-crack routine.
We dig into what makes Blair different: cone beam CT imaging to see the unique structure of your upper cervical spine, customized vectors for an adjustment that fits your anatomy, and a focus on helping the correction hold so your body can recalibrate. Dr. Hoefer (Hay-fer) shares how integrating upper cervical specificity with full spine support and nervous system–friendly modalities creates a pathway for real change—less guarding, better posture, clearer thinking, and fewer visits driven by flare-ups. If you’ve tried everything and still feel stuck, you’ll hear why precision often beats intensity when the goal is long-term function and relief.
You’ll also hear the human side of the work. From patient referrals that have powered the clinic’s growth to the rebranded Well Connected Podcast—formerly Get Your Head on Straight—Dr. Hoefer (Hay-fer) champions a broader view of alignment that includes physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual health. Her own love of travel and new experiences shows how better alignment can unlock a fuller life. Along the way, we debunk the myth that chiropractic care must mean endless weekly appointments and explain why stability is the new metric for success.
Curious if a no-pop, image-guided correction could help you hold an adjustment longer?

This is the Good Neighbor Podcast, the place where local businesses and neighbors come together. Here's your host, Rachel Fife.
SPEAKER_02:Well, welcome to the Good Neighbor Podcast. Now, if you are looking for a chiropractor specializing in the Blair chiropractic technique, well, this resource is really closer than you think. Today I have the pleasure of introducing your good neighbor, Dr. Elizabeth Hafer with Well Connected Chiropractic. Dr. Hafer, how is it going?
SPEAKER_01:It's going great. I'm so excited to be on the podcast today.
SPEAKER_02:Well, we are really excited to have you and excited to learn about your chiropractic business. So tell us all about it.
SPEAKER_01:Well, we've been in Mission Viejo for uh six and a half years, and we just did a big move to a new location this year. We've been in the new location on Paula for about seven months now, and we have expanded beautifully to the new space. What we do at Well Connected is we do Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care with full spine support, and we have uh quite a few supportive modalities that we offer to help the nervous system regulate as efficiently and as effectively as possible.
SPEAKER_02:Wow. Well, how did you get into this business?
SPEAKER_01:When I was 27 years old, I was actually a student in chiropractic school in Davenport, Iowa, where I grew up, and I got a Blair correction and it changed my life. And I knew that I had to spend the rest of my life doing Blair, teaching Blair, and offering Blair to as many people as possible. So when I moved to Southern California 17 and a half years ago, I was fortunate enough to do an internship with the Blair Technique, and I've been practicing Blair my entire career. And why Blair is so important and so specific is because we don't twist, we don't crack, we don't pop the neck, and we use really um advanced imaging, a cone beam CT, which is a three-dimensional x-ray, to take pictures of the neck so we get like a map of the neck, so we know exactly what your structure looks like, we know exactly how to correct it, and we do it without aggressive um techniques that sometimes scare people.
SPEAKER_02:Wonderful. Well, what do you think are maybe some miss or misconceptions in your industry?
SPEAKER_01:Uh, a lot of people have the misconception that um once you see a chiropractor, you have to go three times a week for the rest of your life. And it's funny because there is truth in having the benefit of seeing a chiropractor because our nervous systems are regulated when we get to see the chiropractor. But the work that I do and the work that Blair offers is the ability to get stable in your neck and not have to be there as often. So we get to the root cause by fixing the neck issue, the rest of the spine aligns itself to that, and then you don't have to be in the chiropractic office three times a week for the rest of your life because you actually hold the adjustment.
SPEAKER_02:Interesting. Well, now we know marketing is really the heart of every business. So, how are you marketing and getting your patients?
SPEAKER_01:Well, for the history of Well Connected, it's been word of mouth. It's been truly just having my patients get the results. And a lot of people that I see are people that have been everywhere, tried everything, even seen other chiropractors, and they just weren't getting lasting results. They end up getting a referral from a friend who's inevitably found us, and they come in and then they're so blown away by the results because, for whatever reason, this technique and how I practice and the way that I merge the world of full spine care practical and blare upper cervical together is just super effective. And then they then return the favor by sharing it with their friends and family. So it's been a beautiful thing.
SPEAKER_02:Wonderful. Now, have you ever thought about doing your own podcast by any chance?
SPEAKER_01:Funny you ask. I actually have my own podcast. It's called the Well Connected Podcast. We just rebranded it this year. It used to be called Get Your Head on Straight. And it's all about the idea of being connected. And uh, I interview my patients, I interview business people, I interview people in other industries because it's so important to live your life in alignment. And we want to make sure you live your life in alignment in every way possible, whether it's financial, you know, physical, emotional, spiritual. Uh, and so that's what my podcast is all about. So I get to have fun interviews and talk to all kinds of fun folks about the work that they've um gotten through while connected and then their experience with Blair.
SPEAKER_02:Wonderful. Now, outside of work, what what do you like to do for fun, Dr. Heifer?
SPEAKER_01:Hey Fer. Yeah, no, it's good. Um, I always tell people you're safe with Heifer. That way, you even when you see it, you know how to say it. Um, I really enjoy traveling and I love spending time with my family doing new adventures. And one of the cool things that I got to experience for the first time the other day was a professional football game. I had never been to SoFi Stadium and I got to go watch the Rams play. So just having experiences with my friends and my family, but travel is a big, big way on the top of my list.
SPEAKER_02:Wonderful. Well, Dr. Hafer, please tell our listeners one thing they should remember about well-connected chiropractic.
SPEAKER_01:The biggest thing to remember about well-connected chiropractic is that we truly do get to the root cause. We do the most comprehensive neurological and orthopedic exam ever. And we don't twist, pop, or crack the neck. So when we do the correction, it holds and you get lasting results.
SPEAKER_02:Wow, that's cool. Now, how can our listeners learn more about Well Connected?
SPEAKER_01:If you uh are online, you can find me at wellconnected toCro.com and on any social media platform. If you just do at WellConnectedCairo, you will find us.
SPEAKER_02:Well, Dr. Hafer, I so appreciate you being on the show. And we wish you and your business really the very best moving forward.
SPEAKER_01:Well, thanks so much. It's been a fun opportunity to share about uh what we do here, and we we're super proud of the work we do.
SPEAKER_02:Wonderful.
