Good Neighbor Podcast: Orange County

Guided Soul-utions For An Aligned Life

Rachel Fyffe & Shiro Nobunaga

Ever wonder why the same life patterns keep looping, even when you know better? We sit down with spiritual counselor, energy and sound healer, and working musician Shiro Nobunaga of Guided Soul-ution to unpack how intuitive story work can reveal the scripts beneath your choices—and how to change them with clarity and care.

Shiro explains his approach to reading the subconscious story, a process that moves beyond fortune-telling and into alignment. Rather than predicting a single future, he helps clients explore the likely outcomes of different paths, rebuild self-trust, and return to their “original design.” We talk through the biggest myths around psychics, why intention and ethics matter, and how everyday experiences like gut feelings, creative inspiration, and a parent’s instinct are simply intuition by another name.

We also dig into the business side of a purpose-led practice. Shiro shares why word of mouth has driven his growth, how thoughtful reviews on Yelp built trust, and what it looks like to expand with integrity. He’s now exploring a collaboration with a licensed therapist to bridge clinical mental health and metaphysical healing, offering clients a more complete framework for personal change. As a lifelong musician, he uses performance as meditation, showing how rhythm, listening, and attention sharpen intuitive skill in daily life.

If you’re craving practical tools to break patterns, demystify intuition, and make choices that fit who you really are, this conversation offers a clear, humane path forward visit https://www.guidedsoul-ution.com.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, welcome to the Good Neighbor Podcast. Now, if you're looking for a spiritual counselor, energy, and sound healer to help with clarity, guidance, healing, closure, and peace of mind. Well, this resource is closer than you think. Today I have the pleasure of introducing your good neighbor, Shiro Nobunaga with Guided Solutions. Shiro, how is it doing?

SPEAKER_02:

It was it is a pleasure to be here. I'm doing very well, and thank you for having me today, Richard.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, we are so excited to learn more about you and your business. So tell us about it.

SPEAKER_02:

Um, so you know, categorically, I guess this would uh fall under the you know a very limited category of of like psychic mediums and uh or either that or like a mental health uh side of things. Um, you know, this uh and and within the intuitive service realm, I think that a lot of people may not know that there are a lot of different uh specialties and addressing different uh ways of our our our energetic body and our our our spiritual um journey. And my specialty is definitely to um use my intuitive abilities to tap into my client's subconscious story. And what I always call it is I I help to write your story, you know, writing the wrong of your story, so to speak. Um, sort of like a spiritual chiropractor, right? Um so in my ultimate um intention and goal is to guide everyone to become more self-empowered and to connect to their own uh original design that they were born with, uh and that they were meant to be, and also to um help them see the outcomes of different choices that they're making, and also help them to understand uh some of the choices and patterns that they make in their life that stems from various stories that not only come from this lifetime, but also in other lifetimes that we've lived.

SPEAKER_01:

Wow. Now, how did you get into this type of business?

SPEAKER_02:

You know, I've always been uh intuitive, just I've always had people come to me for advice or counsel, even as a you know, uh junior hike, you know, uh kid. I I you know I would have a crush on a girl and and they would I would end up being their confidant. And you know, it was always that kind of situation. Uh when I used to go to church, you know, I was always the natural counselor. Um, and uh and when I was uh because I'm I'm a musician as well, and uh at times I would be teaching music school, and you know, I would see that even in uh private lessons, I end up being their life counselor. And so I felt like this was just whatever comes natural to me, I felt was sort of what I would regard as calling. So I uh kind of looked into what it is that I have and started to study um the aspects of of sixth sense and psychic abilities um and realized that it this was something that we all have, but some of us are designed to use that more intentionally in service to others.

SPEAKER_01:

Wonderful. Now, what do you think are maybe some myths or misconceptions in your industry?

SPEAKER_02:

You know, I think that you know, um the word psychic in and of itself comes with a whole lot of uh you know misconceptions and preconceived ideas. Um, you know, I grew up in religion, so I know that within the religious realm, you know, it's frowned upon or outright uh wrong. And so, you know, the the one of the things that I really do um feel passionate about is to help educate people that we are all sixth sense people, you know, whether you call it gut feelings, mother's instinct, uh, you know, I'm a musician, so I call it inspiration. But these are all um aspects of our intuitive uh sixth sense, the part that we're not educated or taught about, and um we utilize it unknowingly, you know. Um when I was in corporate space, you know, I was in marketing, and and it was a lot of instinctive um uh work. And so creative work, it you know, people in the creative field definitely understand it, um, but we are really never intentional about it, and so psychics tend to have this very compartmentalized and very different uh view, but yet it is really just um, and of course, there are many people within that uh space that are not always authentic or not well intended, um, and so forth, and and with that comes a lot of different negative um connotations and and images as well, but uh really in the end it is about the intention of the practitioner and how they utilize their gift, and um you know I really dove into the path where I use this uh to help align people's stories.

SPEAKER_01:

Wonderful. So now we know marketing is really the heart of every business. So how are you finding your your clients? That's such a you know niche.

SPEAKER_02:

You know, it's funny because I was in marketing, and so yes, I you know, I would immediately think of different ways to drive the brand. And um I just you know, I do have social media platforms, I do have a website, but I have never actually um proactively promoted my service. It has always been the only platform I had was Yelp. Uh, and I've been fortunate enough for people to have left a lot of great positive uh feedbacks, but I've never really uh felt the inspiration to promote it. The word of mouth um has always been uh a very effective um tool for me. And also because I think the way the service I provide really requires the client to, you know, because it's not just about uh the typical what people would consider psychic readings where you're oh, you know, am I gonna get into college or am I gonna get married? Am I gonna have children? Um, I go deeper a lot more into the introspective part of the client, and so it it the service really calls for the client to really want to look within and to really uh want to see their life um flourish. And so it it it I found it challenging, but I I'd be the best tool is definitely things like this, and I do have my own podcast as well, and um and also social media will be definitely one of the things that uh will be a most uh helpful tool that I can see so far.

SPEAKER_01:

I was just gonna ask you if you thought of doing your own podcast.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I mean it and it's not as regular uh and consistent. I I just uploaded onto YouTube, um, and I'm just about you know rebranding everything, and I'm uh I'm putting together a very different team now since my work has evolved over time. So I'm now um can you know partner, we're talking about partnering with a licensed therapist to kind of uh you know sort of help to um see that there's not a very clear line between the clinical aspect of of therapy uh and heal and the healing practices that we do within the esoteric metaphysical arena.

SPEAKER_01:

Hmm. Wonderful. Well, now outside of your work and practice, what do you like to do for fun?

SPEAKER_02:

You know, I'm a musician, and I I you know most of my uh work is still dedicated to music. So every weekend I'm playing uh with a band. I have an 80s band and a classic rock band, and I also do uh acoustic solo uh gigs in different wineries, and I have a duo with a musical partner of mine, and uh so we we perform in weddings and things like that. And uh music is definitely my my great passion and joy. So that is always and it also really helps me continually stay tuned with myself uh through the music. Um, so it's also a very good way for me to um it's a sort of almost meditative for me as well.

SPEAKER_01:

Wonderful. Well, Cheryl, please tell our listeners one thing they should remember about guided solution.

SPEAKER_02:

If if there's anything, it's it's about if you have questions about your life, if you notice that there's a pattern that you're you're feeling like you're um wanting to understand what it is and what it means, um, if you need clarity uh or sense of guidance as to um what could be the thing that's holding you back from being all that you can be, I mean, it as cliche as it may sound, it is the one thing that uh is most important for any of us to be authentic and to be aligned with who we really are. And there are so many of us that have been taught to be somebody by other people's standards, and so if there's anything, I am uh someone that can see you for who you are and guide you to be the most authentic version of you.

SPEAKER_01:

Wonderful. Well, how can our listeners learn more about guided solution?

SPEAKER_02:

Well, please check out my website, uh, it is guided soulution.com. Uh the solution is Soul Lution, and there's a dash between soul and ution. Um, and uh, or uh you can look me up on Yelp. Uh it's perhaps pretty easy to find. I am located in Huntington Beach, and uh so yeah, if and also I'm on Instagram and Facebook as well.

SPEAKER_01:

Wonderful. Well, gosh, Shiro, it was such a pleasure having you on the show, and I wish you and your practice all the best uh moving forward.

SPEAKER_02:

Thank you very much for having me today.
