Good Neighbor Podcast: Orange County

You Don’t Need To Be Rich To Start Investing

Rachel Fyffe & Alfonso Aduna

Think wealth management is a velvet rope for the ultra rich? We brought on Alfonso Aduna, founder of Aduna Capital, to show how thoughtful advice can start at $50 a month and still change a family’s future. From LA to Orange County, Alfonso blends straightforward planning with a fiduciary promise: client interests first, every time. He shares how comprehensive wealth management connects budgeting, risk, taxes, and goals, and why modern assets like cryptocurrency can live alongside traditional markets when they fit a client’s profile.

We dig into the origin story, from insurance in 2014 to launching Aduna Capital after selling his agency in 2023, and we explore the myth that professional guidance requires deep pockets. Alfonso outlines what “fiduciary” really means in practice, how fees stay transparent and approachable, and how clear, repeatable habits outpace one-off stock picks. He walks through strategies that help ordinary investors stay calm through market swings: small automated deposits, diversified portfolios, rebalancing, and measured exposure to new asset classes when appropriate.

Referrals have fueled the firm’s growth, a sign that clients feel seen and supported. Beyond returns, the conversation centers on purpose: designing money around life, not life around money. Alfonso talks family time, games, and the freedom that comes when a plan reduces financial noise. Whether you’re starting with $50 or scaling to $2,000 monthly, you’ll leave with a roadmap for building a durable legacy and more time for what matters most.

If this resonates, follow the show, share it with a neighbor, and leave a quick review to help more listeners find practical, fiduciary-first financial guidance.

This is the Good Neighbor Podcast, the place where local businesses and neighbors come together. Here's your host, Rachel Fife.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, welcome to the Good Neighbor Podcast. Now, are you looking for help when it when it comes to investment management? Well, this resource is closer than you think. Today I have the pleasure of introducing your good neighbor, Alfonso Aduna with Aduna Capital. Alfonso, how's it going?

SPEAKER_02:

Pretty good, pretty good. Thank you, Rachel.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, we're really excited to learn about your capital, your business. So tell us all about it.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, so Aduna Capital is a registered investment firm located right here in LA and Orange County. We focus on comprehensive wealth management. We help clients navigate everything from traditional markets to modern assets like cryptocurrency so we can build them a lasting legacy. Well, how did you get into this business? So I started in the insurance business in 2014 and I realized I didn't want to just in protect our wealth. I wanted to build it. So after selling my agency in 2023, I started Aduna Capital and it's just taken off since then.

SPEAKER_01:

Now, what do you think are maybe some myths or misconceptions in your industry?

SPEAKER_02:

I think the biggest myth is that you have to be ultra wealthy to have a financial advisor. I have clients that deposit$50 a month. I have clients that deposit$2,000 a month. The truth is it's easy to start with professional guidance and it's a lot cheaper than you think. You pay less than$20 a month.

SPEAKER_01:

Wow. So now we know marketing is really the heart of every business. So how are you finding your customers?

SPEAKER_02:

Um the best way I'm finding customers are referrals. I think that's the number one way most businesses do it. And all of my clients have the best things to say about me. And I think last year we doubled our business just from referrals. Wow.

SPEAKER_01:

Now I gotta ask you, have you ever thought about doing your own podcast?

SPEAKER_02:

You know what? I like doing the interviews, so I I'll leave that up to you.

SPEAKER_01:

Okay. Now, outside of work, what do you like to do for fun?

SPEAKER_02:

Um, I really like to um play video games and spend time with my family. I think um spending time with your family is is one of the best things, and that's why I like to manage wealth so that way you don't have to worry about money and you can spend more time with friends and family.

SPEAKER_01:

Nice. Alfonso, you know, tell our listeners one thing they should remember about Aduna Capital.

SPEAKER_02:

I think the thing that they should remember is that we're fiduciaries, and what that means is that we put them legally and ethically ahead of ourselves, right? So when we're looking at investments, we look at um to make sure that that specific investment is tailored to them.

SPEAKER_01:

Okay. How can our listeners learn more about Aduna Capital?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, they can Google Aduna Capital or they can reach us out directly here in Norwalk and they can call me directly anytime I'm available from nine to five.

SPEAKER_01:

Well, Alfonso, I really appreciate you being on the show, and we wish you and your business really all the best moving forward.

SPEAKER_02:

Thank you, Rachel, so much for having us.
