April arrives quietly, not with the deep stillness of winter, but with movement. The ground softens, the air shifts, and somewhere beneath your feet life begins again. Bud by bud, root by root. Then the moon rises, full, luminous, watchful. The pink moon. Not named for its color, but for the first wildflowers that bloom across the land, soft, resilient, and persistent after the long cold. This is a moon of becoming, of fertility, not just in the physical sense, but in all the ways life seeks to grow. Ideas, dreams, seeds, intentions waiting just beneath the surface. Tonight we stepped into that energy. We gather water under moonlight, we bless what we are ready to grow. And we re-remember. And we remember that even the smallest beginnings holds the potential for abundance.

SPEAKER_01

Welcome, witches, pagans, heathens, spiritualists, and seekers of the unseen. This is Old Ways, New Days, Magic episode, where ancient magic meets the turning of the seasons. I'm Kayla, and I'm Nell.

SPEAKER_00

Here, each full moon, we wander the winding path of Earth-centered witchcraft, honoring the spirits, cycles, and subtle energies that shape our world.

SPEAKER_01

From spellcraft to star lore, heart magic to hedgewalking, we're reclaiming the old wisdom rooted in the land whispered by our ancestors, carried in the quiet beneath heartbeats.

SPEAKER_00

Whether you're lighting a candle, casting a circle, or simply listening with an open spirit, this is a space for wild soul practitioners weaving intention, intuition, and everyday enchantment into their lives.

SPEAKER_01

Welcome to the magic and to the many ways it moves through us. How rude. Kitty Tan, kitty kitty ton. For as small as she is, my lap is very warm.

SPEAKER_00

She is a little tiny furnace. For being 13. 12, 13, somewhere in there. I never remember how old you are, sweetheart. Too bad we can't get you to hear the purring.

SPEAKER_01

She loud, she loud. Maybe I'll pull a microphone down to her so you guys can really hear it. Right? Ugh.

SPEAKER_00

So another day, another dollar, right? And our full moon magical episode. Ooh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Spooky.

SPEAKER_00

Or not, because it's springtime.

SPEAKER_01

It can still be spooky. Okay. I like full moons walking in the moonlight. So the April full moon is often called the pink moon. A name rooted in seasonal observation, particularly the blooming of moss flox. One of the early spring's first flowers. This moon carries the energy of fertility, renewal, growth, awakening. It sits in that delicate space between planning and action. Seeds are no longer just ideas. They are ready to be planted. Literally and spiritually. This is a powerful time to ask. What am I ready to grow? Not someday.

SPEAKER_00

Now and since we're talking literal and spiritual, when you ask that question, it's not push the stool for alert. You're welcome. You're not just asking what am I ready to grow plant-wise, but you know, also We have claws in attendance.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, just into the kneecap, you know. But at least, you know, she's still comfortable.

SPEAKER_00

Really should hear these purs. So fertility magic is often misunderstood as only relating to reproduction. But in earth-based practice, fertility is expansive. It is about creation in all forms: creative projects, emotional healing, relationships, personal transformation. Anything you are nurturing into existence is part of this energy. The pink moon invites you to set intentions rooted in growth, align with natural cycles, trust in gradual unfolding. Because just like the Earth, you are allowed to take your time becoming.

SPEAKER_01

So one of the simplest and most powerful practices during a full moon is creating moon water.

SPEAKER_00

I know we've talked about it before, but that was Zelda. That was specific to the lunar eclipse and the red moon. Yes, yes, it was.

SPEAKER_01

Which I was not able to do. Same. It was cloudy. I don't know that it would have. Yeah. I was unable to see it at all. So now we're gonna talk about real full full moon moon water. And uh practice of it. Yeah. So what you'll do is place a jar or bowl of water outside or in a windowsill where it can absorb moonlight. As you set it down, pause and speak quietly, out loud or in your mind. What grows? Grows with intention. What blooms blooms with purpose. Let the water sit overnight. This water can later be used to water plants or seedlings, cleanse tools or spaces, add to ritual baths, anoint your hands before planting.

SPEAKER_00

And remember always mark your jars of moon water and the date. So that you know this is my fertility moon water because it's the pink moon, or this is my harvest moon water because it's you know autumn.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Just write, you know, pink moon.

SPEAKER_00

2026. Yeah, whatever. Mm-hmm. So seed blessings. If you have seeds, whether for a garden or symbolic of something you wish to grow, hold them in your hands. Feel their weight, their stillness. These tiny forms hold entire futures. Whisper or think, may you grow strong, may you find your place, may you become what you are meant to be. Then set them aside for planting. This act is simple, but deeply intentional.

SPEAKER_01

No flowering happens alone. Pollinators, like bees, butterflies, and birds, are essential to the continuation of life. They carry pollen from one bloom to another, ensuring that growth continues. In many traditions, they are seen as messengers, between plants, between worlds, between what is and what will be. During the pink moon, consider honoring pollinators by planting pollinator-friendly flowers, leaving water sources outdoors, observing and appreciating their presence. They remind us growth is not solitary. It is shared.

SPEAKER_00

So you're ready for your early spring fertility ritual? Ooh. Am I gonna get knocked off? Uh I don't think so. Okay, good. I mean, if you do it right, you might. Oh please, no. I don't need any more two-legged babies. Yeah, I'm I'm I'm all done. But you know, it doesn't have to be that kind of fertility. Fertility doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna get pregnant and give birth. Right. So this is a simple ritual you can do indoors or outside. So probably not that kind of fertility that you're thinking. Uh you what you will need a small bowl of soil, seeds of any kind, a candle, white, pink, or green, if available, and your moon water, which is optional. Light the candle and take a few slow breaths. Place your hands over the soil and say, From rest, life returns. From stillness, growth begins. Hold your seeds and focus on what you want to grow in your life. Gently press the seeds into the soil. If you have moon water, lightly sprinkle it over the soil. Close with As these seeds grow, so too does what I nurture within and around me. Let the candle burn for a few minutes before extinguishing it. Keep the planted seeds in a place where you can tend them. Each time you water them, reconnect with your intention.

SPEAKER_01

So find a comfortable position, sitting or lying down. And it's called flowering within. So close your eyes. Take a slow breath in and out. Imagine yourself standing in early spring. The ground is soft beneath your feet. The air is cool but no longer cold. Above you, the full moon glows, steady and bright. With each breath, feel yourself becoming more rooted. From the soles of your feet, imagine roots extending into the earth. Deep, steady, connected. Now from your center, your chest, your heart, imagine a small bud, closed at first, protected, waiting. With each breath in, the bud begins to open. Slowly, pedal by pedal. There is no rush, no force, only timing. Feel what is ready to bloom within you. An idea, a feeling, a path forward. Let it open in its own way. Under the light of the moon. Stay here for a few moments. Breathing, opening, becoming. And when you're ready, gently bring your awareness back. Ah Love the meditations. How does it feel? Oh, so relaxing.

SPEAKER_00

It is. I love to meditate. So the pink moon reminds us that growth is not loud. It is quiet, steady, persistent.

SPEAKER_01

It happens beneath the surface before it ever becomes visible. Just like seeds, just like intentions, just like us.

SPEAKER_00

You don't need to have everything figured out. You only need to begin.

SPEAKER_01

Because under the light of this spoon, everything is already in motion. So remember to like, share, and review.
