Welcome, witches, pagans, heathens, spiritualists, and anyone interested in living sustainably.
SPEAKER_00This is Old Ways, New Days, where the old ways meet the good dirt. I'm Kayla. And I'm Noel. And each week we explore the sacred art of living close to the land.
SPEAKER_01From compost to covens, chickens to charms, we're reclaiming self-sufficiency, seasonal living, and ancestral wisdom. Whether you're stirring your cauldron or your soup pot, this is a space for wild-hearted folk walking the homesteading path with intention, magic, and muddy boots.
SPEAKER_02So we are once again doing a contest. I know the rules are already posted on our Facebook page. So for those of you who do not follow our Facebook page or do not have Facebook, which there are a few people, I suppose. Yes, there are. My boyfriend being one of them. My fiance has it. He just doesn't use it. It's there, so he I can send him reels.
SPEAKER_00He's actually messaged me a few times on it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So the prize for um this contest round will be a one-year subscription to the Backwoods Home magazine. Uh, Backwoods Home, if you don't remember from our previous episode where we did a review of it. Um, it's a quarterly magazine and media brand dedicated to homesteading and self-sufficiency and rural living. Rural living. Rural living. Since 1989, it has been a trusted resource for practical DIY advice on gardening, raising livestock, off-grid living, food preservation, emergency preparedness, and more. So if you're not familiar with it again, look back at our um previous episode where we did a couple of reviews on some homesteading magazines. So the rules for the contest are the same as they are last time. Um if you follow the Facebook page, you know, obviously that's one point. Um if you start following the Facebook page, make sure that you say, you know, here or something done. New follower. New follower under the contest post, which is pinned to the top. Um we want you to tag a friend who then follows our Facebook page, um, leave a review on one of our episodes. We will give you a one point per review. So every review that you give, you get an extra point towards winning the contest. I know. Um, you can also leave a review on Facebook, I suppose that would also. Why not? Yep. Uh leave um rate our podcast on your favorite podcast platform. Of course, we would love five stars, but we understand, you know, we might not always deserve five stars. Um, and then so the contest starts today, August or June 15th, and will end August 1st. The winner will be announced uh the day before I go into surgery, which is August 6th. So make sure, um, because it will be announced on Facebook first, and then we'll do the phone call with the winner um live last time like we did last time. So make sure that you, you know, it's easier for us to um select a winner off of Facebook, yeah. Because we aren't given names on um BuzzSprout, which is our posting platform. So we don't know who follows. Uh so that's how we will announce it. Um so keep an eye on your messages and notifications. Um, we will try to tag you um when we do select the winner, and it is a hundred percent random. Um the more points you have, the more times your name does go into the hat. Just that's how we do it. Just to keep it as fair as possible.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So Kata! Woohoo! Good luck, listeners.
