Sometimes we look for a quick answer, a miracle, or a temporary solution, but God is working on something much greater: His purpose in us.
In this message we learned:
✨ God starts the work even when we don’t understand it.
✨ The silence reveals whether we know God or only seek His blessings.
✨ God doesn’t just want to bless us, He wants us to know Him.
✨ Everything God starts, He finishes.

Abraham did not have all the answers, but he knew the character of God. In the middle of the process, he discovered Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6

SPEAKER_00Throughout this month, we're talking about unbreakable faith. Can you say that with me? Can you say unbreakable faith? One more time. Unbreakable faith. And uh today I want to talk about uh a subject, a message that I've titled God of Complete Works. So turn to the person next to you and say, We have a God of complete works. Before I start, I I found something and I thought it was funny. Please forgive me if you don't find it funny. I thought it was what a husband is just lying in bed looking at his phone as guys do. Right. Thank you. The wife starts looking at herself in the mirror and says, Oh my gosh, I look I look ugly. Look at this hair, my body, I've gained some weight. She looks at him and says, Please at least say something positive about me to cheer me up, to make me feel better. He looks at her and he says, Well, your eyesight is perfect. He's not a Christian. So, God of complete works. Let's go to Ephesians chapter 3, verse 20. And it's one of my favorite verses, one of my favorite Bible verses, and it's a it's a verse that God gave to my mom a long time ago, and ever since we believe, we have believed this word, we believed that God is a God of complete works. And it says, now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we than all we ask or imagine according to his power that is at work within us. Amen and amen. So we have a God that can do more than what we can imagine, that we can think, we can even ask for. As humans, we're used to like leaving things halfway. Many of us have started uh maybe like a project or maybe a side hustle, and you just you know just leave it halfway, and they ask you months or years later, what happened? Like, oh, it wasn't for me, we say. Or it didn't work, and we leave things halfway. More peep some people more than others. My wife, for example, if she starts something, she finishes it. Like, no matter what, if she says something, look, the world could could be ending, but it will happen. Like, if I'm sick, I'm like, you know, I give myself a little grace. I'm like, well, I'm sick. If she's sick, she's like, I'm I'm I'm thinking she's like going, if it's the last thing I do, even if I'm dying, I'll finish. And and some people more than than others, but as I was reflecting on this, we get so used to living things halfway that we tend to think that God is the same way. But let me tell you one thing that goes against God's nature. God doesn't leave things halfway, He always finishes what He started. And how many of you can praise God for that? God cannot be like that. But many many times we don't hear God responding. Maybe you're asking you're praying for something, you're asking God for something, you're asking God for an answer, and you don't really hear, you don't really get the answer, and you think, wow, maybe God forgot about me. And the the problem is not the lack of answer, the problem is that we're expecting incomplete answers. We want a quick solution. Many people come to God because they want a miracle and they say, Lord, I just want this. And many times it happens that they receive the miracle, and as soon as they receive the miracle, they forget about God and they wait for the other, the next crisis, the next problem, to come back and look and seek God. But when we understand that it is not about a part partial process, it's about a complete purpose that God has for us. He finishes everything he starts. So turn to the person next to you and say and say, tell them, He finishes everything he starts. And there's one reality. The the great reality is that God is not committed to your plans, he's committed to his purpose. He's not committed to your plan, he's committed to his purpose. Sometimes we're depending on him to fulfill our plan. But he's looking at the overall picture and he's saying, I'm committed to my purpose. And how many of you know that his purpose, his plans are better than ours? I could say amen to that. So in Ephesians, it says that God can do more than we could ask for, he could do more than we could imagine, he could do more that than our mind, our limited mind, can think. And uh, if we look at the life of Abraham, Abraham wanted a son. He received a promise from God saying that he will have uh descendants, he he will have uh offspring, and in him all the nations, all the families of the earth will be blessed. But he had no family, no kids, they were older now, and they were waiting for God to fulfill his promise, but nothing. Have you ever gone through that? You you receive a promise, you receive a word, and you're just waiting and say, Lord, I'm ready. Nothing, Lord. This time I'm ready. Now I'm a hundred percent ready. You pray, you fast. Maybe you fasted, you joined us in the 21 days of fasting and prayer, and you're like, I'm ready now, and nothing happened. And you say, Well, maybe it is in the 21 days of prayer in August, that will be my time, and you go through it, and apparently nothing happens, so you start doubting your your faith. You know, as I was sharing a couple of weeks ago, um I started feeling this, it's it's difficult, it's hard hard to explain, but this pain in this side of my my face, the head, and then out of nowhere I started hearing this sound, like it was a a wishing sound. It's so hard. I've gone to the doctor like probably 10 times over the past four weeks, and every time I go, they say, Well, explain to me what's going on, and I have to go through the whole thing. It's like it's like a pain, but not a pain. Uh, anyways, it's like a sound, and and the sound gets louder at night. And this week, as I was praying for for this, because you know, we now have the great doctor called Chad GPT. So, amen, thank you. So, I received my my results of the MRI, and I enter the results into Chad GPT, and uh apparently what Chad GPT said is that there is no solution, so it's something that you have to live with for the basically the rest of your life. And I was like, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus. I threw my phone. So, well, it was it was hard. So, but as I was, you know, processing this, I went to the gym the next day, and as I was um, you know, praying in the gym, uh a message from God came to me through one uh a message, uh uh a sermon from Dr. Miles Monroe, which is uh a great pastor, great great messages. And uh then a song, and the title of the song was exactly this God of Complete Works. And and the two things came together to make me understand that sometimes we're praying for that one thing, the the that little miracle, but God is interested in fulfilling a bigger purpose, and that big bigger purpose sometimes is to get to know him completely. Uh uh this this thought came to mind because God starts the work, then I want to talk about three things. Uh, the first one is that God starts the work even when we don't understand it. So in in Genesis 22, 2, God tells Abraham and he says to him, Take your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and sacrifice him. And and I I felt a little bit like that when I read there is no real treatment for that, it's something that you have to live with. I I felt a little bit like that. Like, how come I have to like live with this difficult and painful and and and it's so annoying sometimes at night? How can I live with that? But then I understand that maybe it is God wanting me to maybe God wants me to get to know him better. I want healing, but he wants me to know him as Jehovah Rapha, the the healer, not only the healer for my miracle, but the healer, that side of God that maybe I don't know him yet like that. So my challenge today for you is to allow God to reveal himself through the process, through maybe that difficult moment that you're going through, because God gave Abraham a promise, and the promise, the the name of that promise was Isaac, but now he asked for the very thing he promised. God never starts something to live it to leave it unfinished. So turn to the person next to you and tell him, God will complete his work. God will complete his work on you. And as I was exercising and receiving this message, I understood God is a God of completion. He's not gonna leave me like this, he's gonna, in the measure, in the same way I get to know him more, he's gonna finish his work on me. And let me tell you, as I started declaring this, by Wednesday I was feeling better. Thursday, my wife is a witness of this. Thursday, I was feeling way better. I woke up, I was like, I I I don't hear the sound, I have no pain. Friday, I was good. Yesterday I felt great, and today I don't I'm feeling great, no pain, no sound. Because we know a God that finishes what he starts. And let me tell you, if you're going through the process, just trust God because he finishes everything that he starts. And uh and and it's it's difficult to maybe explain it until you you go through it. Sometimes you just want to give up because you're just focusing on that little miracle. But as I was on that um elliptical machine on on Tuesday, I prayed and I said, God, even if you don't heal me, I'll still serve you. Even if if I don't receive the healing, I'll I'll still love you, I'll still praise you. There are there are reasons for me to say, I I praise the Lord because I know a God that knows how to heal, I know a God that knows how to provide, I know a God who knows how to take care of me, and I will serve him for the rest of my life, and that's the attitude. That's the attitude. Genesis 22, verse 8. It says, God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son. So Abraham was going up the mountain to sacrifice, to do an offering for God. But he didn't have any animal to sacrifice, it was his own and only son. Isaac looks at his dad and says, Well, so what are we gonna sacrifice? And and Abraham declares this God himself will provide. So maybe you don't know what's going to happen, maybe you don't know what the future holds, but you know who God is, you know his character, you know that he will finish what he started. Come on, praise, praise the Lord. So it's not about receiving provision, it's about knowing that God is a God who provides. It's not about receiving peace, it's about getting to know a God who is Jehovah Shalom, the Prince of Peace. When He's in your life, when you get to know Him like that, you you not only receive peace for a moment or for that situation, you receive peace. Your your your whole life is filled with His peace, and you you you understand, you get to know, you get to learn how to walk in peace with Him. You know it's not about receiving a little miracle of healing, it's about to know, get to know Him as the God who is the healer. Nothing is impossible for Him. So many people get frustrated because they say God is not responding. Maybe something didn't go the way we want it to, and we say, Well, there is no there is no reason for me to follow God, but God in the in those moments He says, I just don't want to bless you, I want you to know me. There is a difference there because many people want the blessing, but what God really wants is for us to get to know Him and for Him to get to know us. Does God know your name? Do you know God? Do you know that He's the healer? Do you know that He's the provider? Do you know that you can count on Him? Do you know that even in the middle of the unknown, even in the middle of the uh maybe the situation that you don't know what to do, you can walk with Him and you can declare the same thing that Abraham declared. He says, The Lord will provide. We know a God that will provide. So keep keep walking up the mountain, keep praying, keep fasting, keep getting to know Him because the higher you go, the better you get to know Him. Maybe I'm I'm pretty sure Abraham thought, Well, I'll just calm down. And what if God doesn't provide? But He declared to His Son, God will provide. And let me tell you something. If you're going through that difficult moment, maybe you're going through a trial, maybe you've been praying, maybe you've been waiting for months or years. Let me tell you, God will finish the work that He started. That's the third thing I want to mention, and I want to finish with is that God reveals himself and complete completes his work. Genesis 22, verse 13 and 14. Those two verses they say, Abraham looked up, and there in a thicket he saw a ram. So Abraham called that place the Lord will provide. Remember, he said to his son, the Lord will provide. He said it in faith. Now he was saying it because he saw the miracle, and he could now declare it with that certainty that God will provide. Sometimes you will have to speak in faith, but the time will come for you to know God in that way that you can say, I know a God that heals, I know a God that provides, I know a God that does miracles, and he completes what he started. Maybe you you gave God a year. Maybe you know, we always say here in the church, we always say, Give us a year, give God a year. Maybe that year went by, and you say, Well, I've seen some things, but I would like to see more. Here's good news for you the more you remain, the more you will get to know God, and the more you know God, the more you will see His purpose being fulfilled in your life. It's not about That little miracle is about his bigger purpose that he wants to fulfill through you. It's the testimonies that you will tell other people, it's the faith that you will show, and other people will believe because of your faith. Going up the mountain, many people will say, Well, and and what is God doing? How are we gonna do that sacrifice? How are we gonna deal with this? And you can say the Lord will provide, and people might think, Well, they're crazy because I don't see that that they're saying, but the time will come when you can come back the mountain and say, Look, the Lord provided, and I know a God who provides. I know. I finish with Philippians chapter 1, verse 6, that says, He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. If God started something in you, he will finish it, even if you in the moment don't understand what he's doing. Maybe you're going through a difficult time. I I there's a testimony in my life when my my dad passed away, he was very young, and we were very young as well. He was a pastor, and I I thought many of the things that you could, you know, as a a young person could ask yourself or or God. I said, Well, but if he served the Lord, why did this happen? And I was trying to be a good person, and I wanted to follow his footsteps. Now my dreams are crushed. Now I don't see how I'm gonna make it. But let me tell you, in that moment, God allowed me to get to know him in a different way, and God allowed me to know him as a father, and and I could say this now that this word, this verse is so true. He who began a good work in you will carry it, will carry it on to completion. He will finish what he started, even if you're in the middle of the process, if you don't see what God wants to do, he will finish what he started in you. Amen. My advice for today, my my challenge for you is get to know God more than the miracle that you really want. Get to know his purpose more than your own personal plan. Get to know him and get to know that side of him beyond the miracle that you need, because that miracle that you're praying for, the miracle that you need, that answer that you need, it's so tiny in comparison to the greatness, the goodness of God that He wants to reveal to you. So, my challenge is get to know God. As this week went by, I could say that last week my my faith was strong, but now I can say this week, my faith is stronger. Because I as I was praying, and it was so funny because I was in the elliptical, and you know, listening to that message from Pastor Miles Monroe, and it really hit my heart. I started crying, and the lady next to me in the in the gym, she's like looking at me like, Are you okay? Then the sun came up, and I just had to leave that place because I went to a quiet place and I started praying, and I said, Lord, I will I'll serve you, I will praise you. Beyond this little miracle, beyond this situation, beyond this uh medical result, beyond this, I trust, I trust you, and I know a God that nothing is impossible for him, and he will finish what he started. So let me prophesy over your life, he will finish what he started. Let me declare over you, he will finish what he started. If something started in you and you're going through the process, you're going through the motions of God's plan. Don't focus on your plan, focus on God's purpose because he will finish what he started. Amen. How many of you believe this? Amen. I want to invite you to stand for a moment. And I know many of you during this time maybe are going through that difficult moment as Abraham was going up the mountain, and he was trying to maintain his faith, but he was also struggling. But he was able to declare that the Lord will provide. So today I want to challenge you to pray and say, Lord, I want to get to know you, and I trust you with all of my heart. And Lord, today we declare that we trust your purpose beyond our own plan. Lord, help us to have that unbreakable faith, to get to know a God of complete works. Lord, thank you because you finish what you start, and you will finish your work and your purpose in us. Today we declare this word of Philippians 1 6. He who began a good work will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. You will finish what you started in me. Now with your hand over your heart, just say, Lord, thank you. Because you will finish, you'll fulfill your purpose in me. Amen and amen. Praise the Lord.
