While we are waiting for our miracle, God is doing something deeper than simply answering our prayer, He is building our faith.

In Mark 5:21-24, 35-43, we see the story of Jairus, a father desperately believing God for a miracle. While Jesus was on His way to heal his daughter, the situation became worse. Yet Jesus responded with these powerful words:

"Don't be afraid; just believe." (Mark 5:36)

In this message we learned:

✨ Stay close to Jesus while you wait.
✨ The battle of waiting is a battle of focus.
✨ What occupies your gaze will eventually control your faith.
✨ Not every voice should have access to your life.
✨ The voice you listen to most will determine the faith you develop.
✨ God is working on your faith while you wait.
✨ Sometimes God has something greater in mind than what you asked for.

When you don't understand, stay close.
 When you're afraid, look up.
When negative voices surround you, watch who you listen to.

👉 Don't abandon God while you're waiting for a miracle. Stay close, look up, and guard your environment.

Perhaps you're asking for healing... but God is preparing a resurrection. 💛🙌

Welcome to Mission Orlando's podcast. We hope that through this word you will get closer to Jesus. Be sure to subscribe so we can get you new messages every week. Have a blessed day. So I want to talk about a topic that it's been on my heart for the past few months. And the title of the message is Your Miracle is on the way. Your miracle is on the way. And I want to prophesy over you. Your miracle is on the way. Your miracle is on the way. And I'm going to talk about three steps in order to receive, or I'll I'll put it in a different in a different term. Three steps to get ready for the miracle. Three steps that will help you get closer to God, and God will bring the miracle in the perfect time. So let's start with the declaration we do as a church. If you don't, then it's on the screens and you can follow us. We say, Jesus is first in my life, his word is my guide, and I am what he says I am. He called me to be sold and liked on this earth. His mission and purpose will be fulfilled in me. Amen. If you believe it, praise Jesus. I found something funny, and I I hope, I pray that you find it funny as well. Please help me out. Please do. So this guy, a random guy, since he was a child, he struggled with a fear of feeling so feeling that someone was underneath his bed every night at night. So he went to the psychologist and told him, hey, I've got this problem. Every time I go to bed, I think there is somebody under my bed. So I'm scared. I think I'm going crazy, he said. And uh the doctor said, just put yourself in my hands for one year. Just trust me, one year. I think I'm gonna help you, and you'll be able to get rid of those fears. The man said, Well, how much do you charge? He said, I'll charge you eighty dollars per visit. So come every week and I'll charge you every uh for every visit $80. He said, Well, I'll sleep on that and I'll come back to you. Six months later, he he never came back. Six months later, the doctor saw him on the street and called him and said, Hey, why didn't you come to my my appointments? He said, Well, eighty dollars a visit three times for a year, that's an awful lot of money. So my neighbor, he cured me for ten dollars, just ten dollars, and with the money I saved, I was able to buy a brand new SUV. He was curious, the doctor, and he said, Well, how did your neighbor was able to how did he cure you? He said, Well, he came, he took the legs out of my bed, and now I'm sure there's no one under my bed. Okay. So I'm gonna talk about your miracle, it's on the way, and we're gonna read out of Mark chapter 5, and Mark chapter 5 has a few miracles from Jesus that really mean something about faith. Really, they give us a good teaching about what faith really means. So Mark 5, 21 says, when Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered around him while he was by the lake. Verse 22 says, Then one of the synagogue leaders named Jairus came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet. He pleaded earnestly with him, my little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live. So Jesus went with him. A large crowd followed and pressed around him. Then from verse 25 on, we we see the miracle of that woman that was able to touch the edge of the garment of Jesus and was healed. And that stopped Jesus from going to Jairus' house. Then we keep reading on verse 36, and it says, Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, Don't be afraid, just believe. So some people came to Jira to Jairus and they told him, Your daughter died. Don't bother Jesus, just leave him alone, there is no hope. And that's when Jesus said, Don't be afraid, just believe. And those are powerful words because so many times we lose faith. So many times we hear what the doctor says, we see what the bank account says, we see what the world around us says, and we lose hope, we lose faith. But in those moments we need to hear the words of Jesus. He says, Don't be afraid, just believe. Why don't you tell that to the person next to you? Say, say that to the person next to you. Say, don't be afraid, just believe. Verse 37, it says, He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James, verse 38. When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion with people crying and wailing loudly. Verse 39 says, He went in and said to them, Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead, but asleep. Verse 40, but they laughed, they laughed at him after he put them all out. He took the child's father and mother with the disciples who were with him, and when in there, the child was. He took her by the hand and said to her, Talita kum, which means little girl, I say to you, get up. Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around. She was twelve years old. At this, they were completely astonished. He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this and told them to give her something to eat. Amen and amen. We see a miracle of a girl who had died, and Jesus just said she's asleep. And when he went in, he spoke, and she just woke up, she came back to life. That's the power of Jesus. There's nothing impossible for him, there is nothing impossible for God. But now it's on our side to get ready for the miracle that he's about to do. For the past three months, uh, this this passage and this message about faith, it's been on my heart. Because I've been struggling with uh a health condition, uh a health issue that I've been having. And it is so easy to just lose hope, to lose faith. Because I I've been going to the doctor, I've gone to the emergency room a couple of times, probably like three times, uh taking different medicines, trying to go to different doctors, trying to find a solution. But I found the best medicine in these past three months has been God's word and worship. That's that's been the best medicine. So if there is any doctors in the house, we appreciate what you do. I value it. I follow the instructions, I go to the doctor, I pray before I go to the doctor, and I say, Please, Lord, help me to find the right doctor for this. And I go, I follow the instructions exactly. I take the medicine, but as I take the medicine, I always pray and I say, Lord, I know this medicine will help me, but I also have the blood of Jesus. He died for me, and I'm healed by his name. Amen. So sometimes you go through a time of like a trial, and you see other people going through a blessing. So Jairus was going through a difficult time, he was his daughter was dying, and then he sees Jesus stopped and he healed this lady in the middle of the road on the way to Jairus' house. So, what happens when other people receive blessings, a miracle, and you don't? What happens when you even for this past three months I've been praying for people? They call me and say, Pastor, please pray for me. I've been going through this, and I have to go, okay, in the name of Jesus, be healed. And I'm going through a sickness, and the enemy will speak to you. Oh, you you cannot pray for that person because you're not healing yourself. So you know, the enemy tries to enter into your thoughts, into your mind, and cripple your faith. But when you really believe Jesus, when you hear God's word, and that's that's the key of today's message. When you hear the words of Jesus, when you read the word and you fill yourself with faith, then that faith comes alive. Then the enemy, the the God's word is louder than the words of the enemy. Because the enemy will always speak to you, but the word of God is more powerful than the words of the enemy. Amen. Amen. Amen. So I'm gonna speak on three things that we can do to get ready for the miracle. Number one, stay close. Stay close. Mark 5, 24 says that Jesus went with him, and he I imagine like he Jesus was doing so many miracles, and the people was like just crowded around him and trying to touch him, trying to see Jesus. And I could imagine Jairus making an effort to stay close to Jesus in the middle of that multitude, in the middle of the crowd, Jairus did not let go of Jesus, even though he was surrounded by so many people. So, in the middle of your trial, in your life, in the middle of a blessing, stay close to Jesus, stay close to the word. So many people pray for a miracle, and once they receive the miracle, they turn their backs on Jesus and they say, Well, I will come back to church next time I have a problem. But my advice today is stay close to Jesus, even though the crowds today are the distractions of the day-to-day, are the different distractions we face, our phones, that maybe our jobs, maybe our time with our family. But find time to number one, be a member of the church, find time to uh really make an effort to be part of a go group, be part of a group because that's where your faith will be fed and you will grow in your faith. So stay close and then find time every day to stay close to Jesus. When you wake up, find time to worship Jesus, to say, Jesus, I love you, thank you because I have life, thank you for my family, and start praising him every day. My advice to you is stay close, stay close. Psalm 37, verse 3, it says, Trust in the Lord and do good. David went through many trials. David was able to see God's miracles firsthand, experience crazy and great things. And his advice, because Psalm 37, he wrote it when he was old. And he said to uh to us, he's saying, trust in the Lord and do good. Can you say that to the person next to you? Trust in the Lord. Say, trust in the Lord, trust in the Lord, don't walk away, don't abandon God's presence, don't don't go away from his presence. Keep your faith. Number two, number two, look up. Look up. Mark 5, 30, 35 and 36. They come to Jairus and they tell him, Your daughter is dead. In you know, in the day-to-day, the enemy will try to make you look down. Look down on your situation, look down on your occupations, look down on the reality. But in those times, that's when we need to look up. When when I go to the doctor, I hear what they say, and I say, Well, I know Jesus is able to heal me and do a miracle. Uh that you you hear what they say, but you have that trust, you put your trust in the Lord, knowing that He's able to do a miracle. So look up, don't look down on the on the situation, on the circumstances. Jesus responded, don't be afraid. And and for him to hear those words meant have hope. Look up, look at the future, don't settle on the diagnosis, don't settle on that, don't settle on the problem, don't settle on the disappointment. Focus, put your focus on Jesus and your word. So that's that's when we can ask ourselves, how are we feeding our faith? Are we feeding our faith just every time we come to church? Or are we are we feeding our faith constantly every day through the word of God? So many people just I remember one time a couple of months ago, I was playing pickleball. When I was able to play pickleball, now I'm like in a little hiatus, so I'm not playing that much now. Well, not playing at all. Hopefully, in the name of Jesus next month, I'll be able to play. Amen. But this guy was uh talking to me and he was saying, like, where do where do your kids go to school? And I told him they go to a private school, a Christian school, and he's like, Oh my gosh, that's so great! I wish my kids will go to a a Christian school because one of my friends, his son, started attending a Christian school, and now he speaks differently. He he speaks so positive, he doesn't say bad words, he he wants to hear only like Christian music. This guy, what's his name? Frank. I was like, Forrest Frank. He's like, Yes, Forest Frank. Wow, yeah, and he showed me that song. That song is so good. I didn't know Christian music was so fun, but the problem is that I like reggaeton. That's what he said, and I as soon as I get in my car, I just put that music, and then my my son hears those songs, and he always responds to me, he says bad words, he's always cursing. I wish he wouldn't do that, and I I I thought to myself, I'm like, wow, maybe the problem is not what he's saying, the problem is what he's listening to, and sometimes that's our problem. We we want to change the outcome without changing the input, so we need to change the input. What are you listening to? It is not enough just to come to church on Sunday and then that's it. God will do a miracle eventually. Stay close, look up, look up to Jesus every day. Just hear, feel yourself with God's word. And as soon as you have a problem, the first thing you're gonna say is not a bad word, it's not a negative word, it's not a word of discouragement. The first thing you're gonna say is, I know I have a God, He's close to me, and I could pray and He will do a miracle. Amen. And number three, and this is connected. Watch who speaks into your life. Watch who speaks into your life. A lot of people make bad decisions because they have bad friends, because they receive bad advice. So many people end up in jail because they are with the wrong company, with the wrong people. So surround yourself with people that speak life into you. That's why I want to encourage you again. Get in get in a group, find a group, find a go group, and you will find people that will fill you with faith, that will feed your faith with the word of God, with words of encouragement. If you're going through something, you will have family around you that will help you. So, watch who speaks into your life today. So media is such a bad place to receive advice, it's such a bad place to go to when you're going through a difficult time. The internet, you know, you go in there and you find so many like bad things. Oh the the the words of uh unknown person who doesn't know you that will tell you, oh, just get a get a divorce, you deserve better. And you start listening to those words, and oh yes, yes, that's true. My husband is he's the worst, and yeah, you can do it by by yourself, you can do it on your own, you're strong. Just stop listening to bad advice and start listening to God's word. When you hear God's word, the way you speak will be different. We when you hear his word, faith will come back. I I imagine Jairus. Jairus was a synagogue leader, he knew God's word, he knew how to worship. I'm pretty sure he helped other people, he was a leader, but he wasn't afraid to come at the feet of Jesus and saying, I need help. When he heard those words of his friend saying, Don't don't bother the master, you're lost, you're done, that's it. That's where that's what you hear today, that's what the enemy will tell you. But God will always fill you with faith. My message to you today is have faith. As I'm going through this, I found that one of the greatest things you can do is guard your mind, guard your your your thoughts, your heart. Because the enemy will come and will tell you the worst possible outcome. But God will always tell you that He has hope, that He has a miracle coming for you, that there is hope in the name of Jesus. That's what I know. There is hope in the name of Jesus. Amen. So the the voice you listen to the most. Will determine the faith that you have. So my advice to you is fill yourself with God's word. Fill yourself with God's word. So during this period, I've been declaring that God will complete Phil uh Philippians 1.6. He will complete the work that He started. That that's that's been my promise. I've been declaring uh Revelation 5.5. Look up, look the Lion of Judah, he has overcome. And I declare that word constantly. When I get in the car, when I wake up, when I go to sleep, I declare the Lord will complete his work in me, and now I'm 95% healed in the name of Jesus. And I tell you that 5% is coming. That 5% is coming. So whatever it is you're praying for, let me tell you, God will complete the work. Have faith, don't allow the enemy. So now stay close to Jesus, look up, look at the Lord, look at Jesus, and then remember, allow only people who speak faith into you. Be careful what you listen to. Amen. Amen. I want to invite you to stand. And if you're believing for a miracle today, if you're praying for something, if you're praying for your future, maybe the enemy has been telling you that you have no future. There's no hope. That you're you're done, that your best days are in the past. Maybe the enemy has been telling you that you're gonna repeat a sad story from the past from your parents. Let me tell you, God will write your story. Allow him to write your story because he has a better plan, he has greater thoughts. Maybe you're going through a difficult time. Let me tell you, there is hope in the name of Jesus. There is hope in the name of Jesus, there is power in the name of Jesus. When you declare the name of Jesus, there is something about it. There is something about the name of Jesus, the name above all names. And when you declare it over your life, everything starts to change. So I want to invite you to pray in this moment and say, Jesus, I know that my life is in your hands, and in the right time, you will come and change everything. Lord, I want to be close to you. There is power in the name of Jesus, and I declare the name of Jesus over your life, over your family, the name above all names, the name of Jesus. Amen. And amen. And if you believe it, praise Jesus. Amen. God bless you guys. Thanks so much for tuning in. We hope this message blessed you greatly. We encourage you to subscribe and share it with your friends.
