You’re not too busy.
You’re not out of ideas.

So why are you still not posting… not emailing… not showing up?

In this episode, I’m talking about the real reason I see smart, successful mortgage brokers stay invisible and it has nothing to do with strategy.

It’s quieter than that.
And once you see it, you won’t be able to un see it.

If you’ve ever overthought a post, second guessed yourself, or waited until you felt “ready”… this one is for you.

Why Work With Me (and Broker Life Socials)

I’ve been in the Canadian mortgage space since 2005.

I started at Genworth Financial Canada, working inside the default insurer side of the industry for five years.
Then in August 2010, I became a licensed mortgage agent… and I’ve been in it ever since.

I’ve seen this business from every angle.
Underwriting. Broker side. Real client conversations. Real files.

And here’s why that matters—

Marketing in this industry isn’t just about “posting consistently.”
 It’s about understanding:
 • how mortgage clients actually think
 • what they’re worried about (but not saying)
 • how to explain complex scenarios in a way that builds trust

That’s not something you can outsource to a generic marketing company.

Because if they’ve never:
 • structured a deal
 • explained a refinance
 • walked a client through a tough approval

…they don’t truly understand your client.

Inside Broker Life Socials, everything is written by someone who lives and breathes this industry.

So your content doesn’t just “look good”…
It actually connects, builds trust, and converts.

SPEAKER_00

Welcome back. I'm Christina Crosby, a Canadian mortgage agent, and I am also the founder of Broker Life Socials. Welcome back to this week's episode. We're going to talk about Headspace in this episode because I see it consistently with brilliant brokers, smart women, talented professionals, silent, not posting, not emailing, not showing up because of thoughts. What will people think? What if I say it wrong? What if other brokers judge me? What if I look silly? So let's talk about it this week. I want you to remember no one is thinking about you that much. Sounds harsh, but it's freeing. People are not analyzing your posts. They are thinking about their own mortgage, their own files, their own kids, their own stress. The spotlight effect is real. If you think everyone is watching, they aren't. And the ones who are, they're usually inspired. I want you to remember you're making this bigger than it is. This post is not a TED talk, it's a touch point. You're not declaring policy. You're reminding people that you exist. You're being visible. That is it. When you assign a massive weight to every post, you freeze. When you treat it like brushing your teeth, it gets easier. So I want you to remember that. Now confidence comes after action. Most people wait to feel confident, and that's backwards. Confidence is built through repetition. Post a hundred times and you won't overthink it anymore. Email weekly for six months and it becomes normal. But if you only post once every three weeks, of course it feels scary. You've never built up that muscle. There's a huge cost of staying small. When you stay quiet, you lose files, you lose referrals, you lose momentum, you also lose the belief in yourself. Visibility is not ego, it's leadership. You can't serve people who don't know you exist. And if you're a Canadian mortgage broker mom listening, your kids are watching. They're watching how you show up, how you handle fear, how you build something. And that absolutely matters. So I want you to decide to decide. I talk about that a lot. Here's the shift. Decide your visible broker. Decide your voice matters. Decide the imperfect imperfect imperfect actions be perfect silence. Once you decide, the noise gets quieter. This week I want you to post once. Send one email, show up once, not perfectly, just consistently. Because the brokers who win in 2026 are not the smartest. They are the most visible. And you get to be one of them. Before I close this episode, I want to remind you we are starting our new round of mentorship at Broker Life Socials with our group coaching container. What that means is every single Tuesday, for three out of four weeks a month, we hop on a call, we schedule your email marketing for you, we schedule all your emails for you every single month. On the three calls, we go over everything marketing for your Canadian mortgage business. I would love to have you join us. If you have any questions or want to hop on a call to see if it's right for you, please reach out. And I'll see you next week.
