But alright, alright, ladies and gentlemen. Episode 20 or something, because I never check before I get on here of the Buffalo Bites podcast. Uh, of course, we did get last week's episode out, so it's very possible that this is a uh doubleheader. This is the part two release of the same week. So, anyways, uh, same setup as last week or 30 minutes ago, depending on if you just listen to us. But we got Carl and Colton here on Discord. Tyler, unfortunately, still working, and so is Squid. Uh, Squid actually should be here next week. But either way, uh, we got a fun one lined up. What's going on, boys?

Oh, hanging in there. I'm now uh I'm now refreshed and ready to go. I had a long travel weekend this weekend.

I was. I was in a uh I was in Delaware for work. Um and actually I was like northern Delaware pretty much, so the Flyers were like 45, 50 minutes away. So I was like, all right, it's not a bad drive to do on a Saturday night. So headed up there, watch the game, and uh good news with the game is that when cheesesteak.

Here's the thing, I did the wrong thing, and in Delaware for lunch, I got Jersey Mike's and their cheesesteak. Oh, oh which is really good because that's why I get their cheesesteak. But and uh so I got to the right thing.

I was already cheese staked out, but I've had it before at the at the arena, it's very good.

It's a nice arena. Um it's not Wells Fargo anymore. It used to be Wells Fargo, now it's Xfinity Mobile Arena. So I had no idea, but it's very, very nice. It's like a modern looking arena, surprisingly. I always thought it was gonna be older, but I guess they just built it I don't know how long ago.

Early 2000s, I remember. Because the spectrum closed in ninety nine, I think.

Well, for early 2000s, it's very modern, it looks um but yeah, the game itself was okay. It went to a shootout, which was cool, but a lot of turnovers, a lot of sloppy hockey, it looked like and it got scrappy, which is fun. That's a filly game. Yeah, pretty much. Got to see Risto again.

Oh my gosh, that's right, dude. You know, there are a lot of trades about him or trade talks about maybe him coming back. I wouldn't hate it. I kind of want to like them. Yeah. I I mean, after the first couple games with the Winnipeg pairing, I would have definitely taken Risto. Oh Risto and Metsa. Risto and Metsa, rotate Kesslerling.

I wanted to talk about that first name wrong, but for a saber saving. I guess we can tease it now. But what is because I haven't been able to actually watch truly a Sabres game with them in the lineup. What's going on with Shen and Stanley?

Uh they're doing the roles, I I think. Too many penalties from Stanley, I think. Um, you could see the age on Shen. Shen is older guy, but I he's brought in for injuries and dept reasons only. Um, but he's been playing the last couple games. He doesn't they don't look bad, but they bring a style of a game that Ruff um hasn't been really coaching. And coming from a system in Winnipeg where it's a run and gun kind of offense. Uh with Winnipeg, Buffalo plays more of a pass-pass-shoot kind of thing.

Um like maybe maybe I'd add a bit of a slow start, but you know, you a lot of Sabres fans are just they're wanting us to win every single game, which we have been, so it's been nice, you know. Except that Washington game, but yeah, I mean the Washington game, and I'd also say the start of the leash game, you know, they hit hard, but that's just about all they do. They just they're slow st or stopped. That's it.

But you know, you know, uh like my gripe with power, like that I have is like he just makes some tough mistakes. But like he skates very well. And it seems like Stanley is like the opposite of power where he doesn't make too many positional errors. I don't know. Yeah, it's it might be too early to tell, but like everybody's like I I see the worry with the whole Stanley uh Stanley Shen pairing. Mets has been playing better to be honest, and he's kind of earned that role. He should be the sixth or fifth defenseman and then rotate the other three. Power should be hit by a bus.

I I watched the second half of the Thursday night game after my hectic day would like calm down, and uh that goal that we talked about in the group chat with power standing on the post. I saw that and I was and I I'm not one to pick on power, like be the first one to do that, but I saw him just hugging the post and I'm like, I don't know what's going on here.

It seems to happen a lot with power. I swear there's so many goals that he just isn't putting his body on somebody, he's just standing there letting them score.

I don't know if it's like an awareness or just a reactionary issue that he just like it just he just doesn't process where the play could possibly be, so he doesn't check it fast enough.

I mean that's my first question there. He doesn't know what to do when he doesn't have the puck. That's what it looks like. Like he's a little he's not he's not in the right position or yeah, lost. Yeah, it's a good way to put it. Coolist Brock says Shen should be in the press box. No, power skates really well. I like the way he skates and his vision to up the ice. You know, sometimes he doesn't execute his passes very well, but that Maple East game he played pretty good, bringing the puck up.

But his mind for off offense is really good, and that's why we see his flaws on defense.

That goal that they scored, Washington scored with like a minute left. Power is looking it. There's a clear clip, I'll have to send it to you guys of power looking at the scoreboard before the puck even goes in. He's like this. Yeah, that's crazy. You're like, what are you doing? And then like the games I've gone to in the last week, like he gets into the corner to go battle for a puck and he pulls off, like as a goalie, like you want your defenseman to be hard in the corners because you don't want that puck coming in front, or anywhere for that matter, in the in the uh defensive zone. And for him to pull off as a defenseman, that is not not ideal. Right. Yeah. Shen Shen Oh, it was Shen that set the tone for the Maple Leafs game. It was Shen with the first fight, and he was busted open too. Oh, really? Yeah, I didn't know that.

But then he also had a bone-headed turnover in front of uh LXY in there.

Um Toronto, they were just they were no, the goals that Toronto scored weren't that like they weren't high pressure shots. And like I've seen Lion make the saves. You're not gonna make every save. And like as a fan, you want him to make every save, but the sh the goals that they scored weren't like oh wow, like these are great shots, and they beat him perfectly. Like they're shots that he should have stopped. Right.

I mean, hey, you're not in uh what what were you nine and one the last ten? Yes. I mean Carl was uh Carl was uh informing me for about the uh the magic number, Colton, before before you hopped on and uh Carl, go ahead. What were they?

Um so if we want a guaranteed spot in the playoffs, um it looks like five games. That's what it looks like, but usually teams start making it around this time, 90 points or more get you into a magical spot in the playoff. If we want to keep doing what we're doing, I'm too I'm cool with it. Run the table if we can. If not, I games is the run the table number. One game, maybe two games get you that magic uh playoff spot that the Sabres fans have been clamoring for.

Nice. Yeah, I heard the WGR guys uh talking about it this morning that they have like a hundred percent chance to make the playoffs right now. So, which should mean that they're clinched, but they're not like technically clinched if they lose out and a bunch of other teams specifically need to win and pass them in points, yada yada yada. Yeah, but there's basically a roundup to a hundred percent chance that we make the playoffs, which is insane. Hell yeah.

Hell yeah, I was looking at the division with Spats before the uh before we started. There is four teams right now that don't look like they're gonna make it in the playoffs. Two from the Metro, two from the Atlantic. It's gonna be New Jersey and New York, Rangers, and then Florida and Toronto.

Well, their goaltending got uh Shisterkin got injured midway through the year, and that kind of puts a damper on things once a goalie goes down. Especially a goalie of his caliber, too. True. Fezna, Fezna winner, I think. Could be wrong. Oh, yeah.

He's a good goaltender. Uh that's a goaltender I would love to see in a Sabres uniform. I love Igor. Uh good dude. I like both New York goaltenders, Shisturkin and uh uh Sorokin. I love both of them.

Uh it was a clean uh I personally think it was a clean hit, but the there was no leaving of the feet, there was no nothing like the Patch Right incident um with Chara a couple or about um 10-15 years back. But uh it knocked him out cold. Like you you've seen his like do you ever see the uh dog adoption commercials? Like that sad song, the on the arms up. It it like looked like his soul left his body.

I saw him have he had to get helped off the ice, but I never saw the hit. I just saw the clip of him stumbling back down, looking all the medicine shoulder.

I was gonna say I saw I saw the hit too, and it didn't seem like nothing was crazy. I didn't look at it in depth because I was on the road. I wasn't driving at the time, but I had to get on the road. Um but uh but I was he hit his head on the ice or did he actually get caught in the head from the shoulder?

I think it was the most shoulder to head, and then when he fell, he may have smacked his head on the ice. Like I'm gonna look at it now and then I'll give you.

Yeah, because he was bleeding too, and I again I didn't think it was from a shoulder. I figured it was from some sort of hard surface contact, but but I mean, got to be it, hopefully that guy's hopefully he's okay and alright.

But uh, but yeah, big uh big road trip coming up for uh for the Sabres. I I think as Carl analyzes the hit there, I think, and again, this is I don't want to get ahead of myself. I'm thrilled if they just make the playoffs. And I still use the word if until everything's done. Um I think truly we are a four a four out of seven, a two out of three of uh five out of nine, whatever it is, majority games win team. Like if you give us ten games, I think we're gonna win at least six out of it like against any team. That just seems like the trend that we've been on the past second half of the year, and it doesn't really matter who we faced. So I I I just think it as far as having the series playoff uh situation, I think we got it. I I I think we can actually like go places.

Yeah. Um looking at that hit, there was no shoulder contact, it was more like a push. He lost his edge, and then when he hit the ground, he smacked his head off the ground. And you have to think you're going was it 15 miles an hour on skates? Those guys on fast, probably more hundreds of hitting your ground, that just it doesn't so it was just the ice that's yeah, the ice was the main culprit. You need to lock the ice up. Damn.

Mason also says the uh Sammy's back at practice. Sorry to jump back to the sabres, but yeah, been missing him, definitely been missing him lately.

Tuck was injured uh Tuesday night. Tuck? Or uh Thursday night. Yeah, he got injured on Tuesday night. Yeah, lower body injury, but he came back on Thursday, so maybe it was just more of a maintenance thing. Maybe he took a bump that he didn't like and it was just uncomfortable and needed a couple days to like shake it out. And he was back in the lineup on uh Saturday, but he was out of the lineup for the Sabres against Washington, which was a big that that's a losing someone like that, that's a big caliber player that we can't afford to lose going down the stretch.

My uh my brother actually had a good uh good Sabres topic to bring up, and we kind of we kind of alluded to it, but not too much. What do you do, whether it's for the rest of the season and for the playoffs, what do you do about the goaltending decisions that need to be made for the Sabres? Do you keep us with alternating goaltenders? Do you send one guy for a loop and just say, hey, you got the net until all hell breaks loose? If you need a break, let us know. Or what do you guys think?

Is this going into playoffs or is this going into the offseason?

Let's start with going into playoffs, and then let's start with uh let's start with the back half of the break season and then let's go playoff situation.

I would let Lukanen finish the season off. You don't let Colt Mallis go in. You let Lukanen finish uh split the games with Lion and uh in the regular season? With Lion. Yeah, for the regular season. Get Lion as healthy as you possibly can and ride Lion until the wheels fall off.

You're gonna ride Lion over UPL.

Yes. After that game on uh last Sunday with uh Montreal or uh Tampa Bay, God, I was just looking at Montreal. Um I I just can't trust someone like Luciden to make saves against teams like um Tampa Bay because you can't for uh come back from a two-goal deficit every single game and expect to win a game. It's not gonna happen. And he let up I I some of it was defensive uh falters, some of it was just bad bounces, but that um that Washington game kind of solidified it for me is I don't let UPL touch it, touch the ice in the playoffs until Lions wheels fall off.

Alright, interesting. And I again this is a lack of consistency that I haven't watched Sabres game, so I don't know. I guess fundamentally how either of them were looking. I know they both have had great games. I know Lions had that he but he's the one who lions started the uh massive first run that we had, right? When we had what 12-13 wins, I think he had the first four or something.

Lions since December 9th is 10 and 1. And he missed a few weeks due to injury, but he's 10 and 1 since December 9th. Yeah, that's a good stat to have. With uh what I seen was a 929 save percentage and a two goals against. Wow. Which for a goaltender, that is that's Vesna worthy numbers.

Yeah, that's hell. That's why we're winning games. I didn't I actually didn't put two and two together.

He also has he's got the best save percentage in the league against the power play. Which is another like, you know, I know the playoffs are a lot more physical, but some guys will still cross that line and get sent to the box. So like the advantage a power play, a good power play can have in the playoffs is lethal. So having a guy like Lion also to combat that the best goalie statistically wise this year against a good power play can steal a couple games too for you when they should be cashing in their opportunities.

So I have their stats, like all three of our goalie stats for this year. Um Lions 19, 8, and 3 with a 913 save percentage and a goals against average of uh 262. Which that is that is very, very good. And Colton's does is 100% on fact with that.

Yeah. Does um does any does Lion have any playoff experience with any prior team?

He does with the I I will with Florida, yes. I can pull up his playoffs. I would probably rock Tim then.

Yeah. Because I was gonna say UPL doesn't have any playoff experience, so I know UPL's the starter, Lions the rotate, but uh you know at the moment I almost would rather see Lions start our first playoff game. But you know, I also wouldn't be mad if Lucanen. I mean that's kind of the benefit of having two good guys for the playoffs at least. Um if you want to start Lukanen just because he's been waiting, he's been in this rough patch with the team, waiting for his opportunity to get to the playoffs, so you reward him with that first game.

Yeah. I mean we maybe it could be a bot. The playoffs really are like you just you put that toll on your body. There is no more, you know, you rock the same goalie the whole playoffs. So I mean we have that luxury where we can actually give UPL a break if he needs it. If he has one little rough patch, maybe in like some first or second period, he starts off slow because he's on the next, he's played the last four games in a row. You can put Lion in for the finish that game, see how we do, maybe even the next game, and like you really won't see too much of a dip or too much of a change in the net. They've both been playing the same. I guess so.

So I have Lion's stats for playoffs if you guys want them.

Yeah. I mean, we don't we don't get a lot of time to talk about that usually, so yeah.

One and two in the playoffs. Not great. This was in 22-23 with Florida. Um, 12 goals on him on uh 107 shots, um.888 save percentage and a 363 goals against. That's not terrible, but it's the save percentages where that worries me.

Did he have any experience last year's playoffs? Because he was still in Florida, wasn't it?

No. No, he was in uh Detroit the last two seasons prior.

Oh, you're right. All right, like on a debunk set.

And he was with Philly. He's also probably backing up Sergei in Florida. So that's right. Yep, Bob. You know, you know, their defense might be tired if if Sergey's too tired to go. So could be could be like a defense wave. playing the best. But anyway, it's just the momentum they got.

The second half of the season, I guess, might be a little bit more critical is the wrong the wrong word, because it's not like we're going to cut either of them, but a little bit more under a microscope for goaltending than uh than I would have thought about for uh for how we're gonna attack the playoffs. Again, if all goes well at least.

I have the uh funny interesting stat about both our goaltenders right now. Both arch we uh lead the yes we lead in penalty minutes in goaltending.

Alright go to him scrappy bunch we got yeah four penalty minutes for Lucan and two for Lion really that's pretty funny yeah it's hysterical oh my gosh um I guess the one uh the one last saber's topic because this is a good chunk of time this is pretty much our sabers talk now um and again I I guess this is my brother just thinking about topics and having good questions at the point. He's got two though I mean I guess we could touch on both if we wanted to but he was mentioned about the third D pairing now that we got a uh against Stanley and Shen and like what you should do with them and uh Tim and just practi is uh practicing. So what kind of what kind of do we kind of shake things up a little bit if it looks like Shen and Stanley are causing some goals or I I I definitely think so.

I think now is the time to you know kind of get your playoff lines correct you know um yeah I I agree with Colton I if I had to sit anybody right now it would probably be Shen and Kesslerling and and that's that's me and then go Stanley Timmins as your third pair and then Metza and uh Kesslerling and then Shen is that depth defenseman if needed I could see that either way it sounds like Timmins should be getting a shot Timmins is I I think Timmins before the leg injury was our one of our he wasn't our best defenseman but he he played a solid game which again I referred to this as being a goaltender you want that defenseman that you can trust and that's a guy that I feel like the team trusts same with same with the guys they brought in like Yarmo said he rewarded the team on bringing in these players and I think it's a reaps uh bene uh what is it uh benefits the team I couldn't think of the saying that they say uh they say uh reap of benefits or whatever it's called but this is by they play they uh brought in players that will help this team succeed in uh moving on forward and having enough uh you can't have enough good defense yeah and that was in and we we mentioned at the beginning of the year I guess whenever we talked as if it was during football season it wasn't a lot about the Sabres but defense so we we we've had offense the past couple years we've been losing games six to five five to four stuff like that so having defense is what we were looking for and now between goaltending and a little bit of defense improvement it sounds like we're actually stopping goals from being put in the net so yeah um yeah the last the last part we actually kind of touched about this a little bit at least with the goaltenders was a uh ice time management going with playoffs you're looking to rest people you're looking to give them breaks you just looking to cut some time are you gonna prioritize winning the conference over um over the rest I feel like if the Sabres get a strong enough lead over Tampa Bay in the next coming weeks you see players like Tuck Thompson Quinn all those neat marquee players say hey I want you at 100 per 110% in the playoffs I can see them we have so much depth right now in our thing where we sit those players and say hey nothing against you guys we just want you at your best and I can see someone like Dallen being shut down until the playoffs I can sit uh for an undisclosed injury I can see stuff like that. So yes ice management right now or ice time management I would do that so you're thinking it's gonna be so you'd be you'd prioritize and that's obviously with the division lead rather than conference do we care much about being first in the conference not really they come like when you go into the con or was it what is it the Stanley or Eastern Conference finals Eastern Conference finals that's where home home ice advantage comes into play with where you uh place point wise but I'm seriously we can I I feel like Carolina Carolina right now doesn't make it out of the first round their goaltending is inconsistent as crap Bussies playing good Frederick Anderson is using a walker half the time so I I I really I'm not concerned I I feel like you get a good division lead on Tampa where they can't catch up then knowing they have two games in hand but just get those points make make uh put a stranglehold on Tampa nice and that's what the Sabres fans need to watch is Tampa games.

Mm-hmm yeah I can see that for sure here's my take here's my take on this and I'll be I'll be brief because I do want to move on to the next part of the show I think Buffalo being the laughing stock of the league the last few years more than a few we play that with that chip on our shoulder okay we say F that uh our boys are playing together for each other for the city of Buffalo you play every single game and they're not gonna want to sit even if they get told to sit maybe some of the older guys like a tuck you know maybe they're the last couple of games if we can afford it like you were saying which is that's the key if we do get the lead over Tampa like comfortable then uh yeah we give them a couple you know maybe reduced shifts and stuff like that until they can just sit a game if we can afford that right before the playoffs. But also you gotta build this this team up this this chemistry with the new guys too and just play everyone's playing together for this team. Chip on our shoulder play every single game hard like you got to win it or you go home up into the playoffs and you take that momentum straight into the playoffs.

You know we'll feel indestructible I like I like that mindset and especially um I mean you heard when we were starting this whole wagon type run and everything you heard the players saying that like look this is like the arena's been wild we see we see in here the fans and obviously they haven't had something like that in the past five, six seven eight years.

So we enjoy that way Mason makes a good point too he says if they stay within two points of Carolina then they probably will try to win the conference. They're like listen it's been 14 years of nothing okay we're in a position to win the conference we're gonna take it we're not just gonna settle for or you know just some you know first in the east or or whatnot or Atlantic it's gonna be you know balls to the wall it's it's like we're here now. We're here we're here to win we're not here to place middle of the road and see what happens from there in the playoffs but you know we're here to win.

It's it's feasible it's so it just seems it seems so in reach and again we say it every we say at least I say it every week dude it's so different being in this situation like uh I think Colton like you said like it's it's gonna be damn near a miracle for us to miss the playoffs which anything can happen. Hope hope to God it doesn't happen. And every other season it's been like we're not exactly out of the playoffs yet but we need a lot to happen.

So it's like the fact that it's switched it's like we don't know what to do now. As fans that is exactly so yeah any other uh sabres talk from y'all before we move on nope no nothing on my end. So I was tired for a few days I felt like and I was gonna get you on the side and see if you were okay and I'm like I don't want to pry it's not my business too.

Yeah no yeah you're okay ty Tyler did hit me up he's like are you okay just and you know I was like yeah I'm okay um you know I thought I was I was just in my head about it I'm a very paranoid person sometimes so you know I went to the emergency room on Tuesday morning instead of going to work like it was that bad and I'm I'm not a guy that's like oh I stubbed my tail I gotta go make sure they don't have to amputate it you know I hate going to the doctors for anything I'm stubborn so it was really I was really scared so you woke up Tuesday something still felt off you're like I gotta yeah a hundred percent like I was dizzy lightheaded and I just was I couldn't sleep I was constantly getting jolted out of sleep like I got tested I got the EKG machine and all this and here's the best part is Monday Monday at work for lunch I tried the big arch I swear to god but how was it since then it was phenomenal but since then bro I was like fuck me it's time I'm having a heart attack I don't know it's just it's it's it so but I I we don't know what it was the doctors they did all the testing and stuff and my blood work was normal they did X-ray in my heart that was normal my blood work was normal blood pressure normal the EKG machine didn't see anything wrong with my heart but my family has a history of blood clots so they just wanted to send me to my primary doctor that was this last Friday to start my weekend I got tested for any blood clots and that I just got to call this morning no blood clots or else they would have had to do a CAD scan of my lungs. Let's go dude I'm ordering McDonald's tonight. Yeah there you go um but yeah I I had a long talk with my doctor and I filled her in on this whole fasting thing spats remember a couple weeks ago you were like you know you just not eating is not healthy you know and I'm like yeah but I'd rather you know die trying to lose weight than to keep getting fat and die of fatness. Yeah what'd you say and love behold well she well I do like the intermittent fasting thing so you know she's like it could be it really could just be your body not getting enough nutrients and you know which is okay because fasting really does promote a healthier lifestyle like it does like your body will reward you with whatever but like you gotta make sure you're eating the right nutrients when you do eat. So you know I added a lot of yogurt and fruit this past week and I feel like I'm back to myself. Yeah that's what I want to hear. Not that I I I am weighing myself now. So like since two weeks ago I'm down 12 pounds already. Woo which is amazing. Congratulations but she's a little thank you thank you I'm I'm it's gonna sell baby at McDonald's tonight. I know here's the problem is I hate counting how much I've lost because I feel oh nice I've lost a couple pounds I'm gonna go eat like a fucking horse I'm gonna remove myself I I've made room for it almost but nah we're just gonna keep going and you know I stepped on a scale this weekend.

By the way got the same paranoia feeling that you got like I had a dream the other night where and I told I text Tyler this that I'm gonna wake up and they're gonna mess up and I'm gonna be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life that is that is how paranoid I am yeah that's a normal surgery. That's a normal thought for surgery but but uh yeah stepped on the scale and I've always weighed between 270 and 275 stepped on the scale well this morning I'm at 283 I think I'm stress eating to the point where I've always maintained my weight and now I'm like I just don't care no more I'm like fuck it.

6'2 6'2 yeah so you're a taller guy so yeah going up that couple couch like oh yeah I get the EKG on uh Wednesday too there uh Colton so we're gonna be mentioned I get broadwork too and I get an x-ray so we're gonna be mentioning this week dude I felt so weird because um just a quick story when I was in the emergency room there on Tuesday morning like I got a hairy ass chest I'm a dude we all got hair okay they couldn't find a spot to stick the sticker so they put it like on my areola just about and oh I was even gonna say they shaved you no when she was talking about it to get it off like after the machine was all done I let out one of these like like a little whimper and she just did one of those little little like you didn't make I'm like yeah yeah I'm okay yeah oh did I make a noise I no I didn't make no it didn't hurt you can just rip my nipple hairs off my body or something that is terrible I have to I've had those before like when I had my stroke about three years ago you had a stroke um I think oh yeah I was playing softball with my dad's uh co-ed team or men's team and I was playing third base and the guy hit a line drive right into my temple went to Ty's engagement party the next day I I got cleared from the hospital they said it was just a concussion got cleared from the hospital went home uh went to Ty's engagement party lit up fireworks went home had a seizure everything I I didn't know what the hell was going on my girlfriend at the time thank god she rushed me to the hospital they said if uh I wasn't rushed to the hospital in that time I would have died they called her stroke code they would shoot me up on blood thinners and all this stuff yeah but it was funny wow dude I have a video there's a video of me telling Tyler because I'm hopped up on drugs that I love them with my ass hanging out that that one probably could have stopped but I'll do chat later you guys will uh get a kick out of that one.

Not this week. I got my ass kicked. Well, I guess I had a uh I had a wrestling gig on Thursday morning. Um I actually had a couple matches and a show. So uh drove my ass up to Canada and got my ass kicked uh two weiss because we had the first match, and the way they booked it, we were at a uh on a college campus in Canada. It was a trade school, and it was like their like student week. It was 10 in the morning, was a show. So it was their student week, so they just booked us for like, you know, entertainment for the students, obviously. And uh the we had two hours to film. We had six matches, so each match has got to be about twenty minutes. First match gets off, they went fifteen. Not the best, but okay. Me and the other guy go, we went like 17-18. Not bad. That's better, but now we're seven minutes ahead of schedule. Next match goes under time, next match goes under time, and they're like, at this pace, the main event's gonna be about 45-50 minutes. They're like, we can make it work, but we don't want to. So they look at me and another guy who had the uh the other guy who west wrestled in the first match, and they go, Can uh can you guys do a match right now? You don't you don't tell the promoter no. Yeah. So you're like, yeah, sure. And uh so we went out there and we killed about 10-ish minutes, give or take, and that was uh that was actually the match that I messed up because I was I played the bad guy in all the matches. We had about five minutes to talk about what we wanted to do out there for the second match. And uh I had uh I had the guy in the corner and I had his arms under, and I was like, he set up. I gotta give him I gotta give him a chop. So just that big pop that smack across the chest for you guys who aren't a uh who aren't wrestling fans, just this is a loud smack that you know sounds like it hurts and it does hurt. I gave him a I gave him a smack, it's pretty good, solid smack, and I'm the bad guy, so I can't play to the crowd like they want to hear another one because they don't like me. So I'm kind of like looking at him, laughing, talking shit to the crowd, and I'm like, oh, what do I do from here? And uh he did the guy away smack, did the right thing. He grabbed me by the head, threw me in the corner, and lines me up for a chap. I'm like, okay, this is what he should do. And I gave him one, he's gonna give me one. He lines me up, wham!
