Mercy, not revenge: Christ’s way to true discipleship.
A powerful reflection on Luke 9:51-56 and the Memorial of St. Jerome. When Jesus is rejected by a Samaritan village, He teaches His disciples that the mission is not about revenge but about mercy. This homily challenges our communities to confront rejection, division, and anger with authentic faith, guided by the Word of God. Inspired by St. Jerome’s reminder that “ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ,” it calls every man, woman, and young person to real conversion and to become true Christian witnesses in homes, schools, and society.
