Thank you for joining the Twin Cast. It's the podcast where business and faith are our foundation, and a good laugh is always on the house. We're identical twin sisters navigating the real estate world one deal at a time. I'm Cherie, your go-to lender, helping you with all things finance. And I'm Nicole, your favorite realtor, helping you find the perfect place to call home. The twin cast starts now. And if you're just now joining us, here's a few things that you should know. We're top 1% on our field. We have over a decade of experience in our field. And with our unique twin dynamic, we offer our clients an undeniable edge. This translates to huge monetary savings through stronger negotiations and smarter financing strategies. Okay, so you know what they say. Sunday's coming. So Sunday is coming, and uh what that means to us is what we are going to be uh chatting with y'all today. And I want to start off with a scripture, and I want to read that to y'all. It is John 16, 33. It says, These things have I spoken unto you that in me ye may have peace. In the world, you may have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. Amen. I love that. Uh he did, he did. So as we approach Easter, today we're recording this on a Thursday, but we're in anticipating every believer right now, uh, we're looking forward to Sunday, right? Because that provides just what that scripture says, uh, hope. And uh, we know that he overcame the world. It tells right there, um, you know, that that he did it. He did it. Um that's encouraging to me. And I think uh hopefully that'll encourage someone else because um where there's so many shortcomings as as myself, I can, you know, name a list of things that maybe I fall short in. Um, but what I am thankful for is that God didn't take those uh shortcomings that I have, whether it's daily or uh over the past 10 years, he didn't take that in consideration. And he didn't say, Hey, you're not good enough for me to make the sacrifice that he made. He didn't, he thought I was enough. And uh that's that's exactly why he made that sacrifice for those uh for for your shortcomings, you know, for every for my shortcomings, for anyone in this uh universe, um, for for every mistake that you've made, for every thought that wasn't good, for every uh downfall, that's what he did it for. And he and he knew that. And he and he decided to take that on and uh give his life for for us. And so, man, what a you know, what a testament to uh love, you know, uh the what a sacrifice for the love that he must hold for each individual out there. Um, I mean, no greater love. I mean the Bible says that love covers a multitude of sin. And uh how true is that? I mean, he died on the cross for those sins, uh those things that um, you know, all the things lying, cheating, stealing, you know, just I mean, there's a list of all the all the things that he took in consideration and said, Hey, uh, Nicole, I know you're gonna do this on this day. I know you're gonna make that mistake on that day. And hey, John, you did this. And but the devil, um, what I know is that he brings that to our remembrance and he wants to put our shortcomings um and deter our walk with God. But um, those are that's his uh, those are distractions. And we have to overcome those distractions and think on all the good things. The Bible says to think on all those things that are pure and holy and good, and and that's what we have to put our mindset on. Um, if we take our mindset away from those distractions, then where would we be? No telling. But uh, and I would like to remind, you know, people that are listening that uh the Bible says that he will uh throw, he will cast your uh he will no longer remember your sins. He will cast them from as far as the east is to the west, he will no longer remember um any of the any sins. And so I mean, he won't remember that. And you know, as people, we remember, you know, we hold people accountable and we, you know, we are um, you know, we fall short in that area. And sometimes I think, you know, we believe the same thing for our savior. And I'm here to tell you, he doesn't remember it. He doesn't care. All he asks is that he says he's he's sitting, he's standing at the door and knocking. All he wants you to do is open the door. He doesn't care what you did, he doesn't care how many times you've messed up, he doesn't care any of those things. All he does is he's sitting there waiting for you to accept him into your life, um, into your into your house, into your thoughts, into your heart, and so that he can transform you, so he can make you a different person. Um and that's what that's what he did on on the cross for us. That's what he took every lashing, um, the thorn, uh, thorns that the crown of thorns that was placed on his head, the nails that were in his hands, um, the torture that he endured was so that we don't have to be accused anymore, so that we don't have to be blamed, so that we can have forgiveness, you know. Yeah, uh our message Wednesday uh was a great uh great message by one of our ministers, and he he delivered a message, and the uh the gist of the message was come and see. So uh what I would like to do is and and or we would like to do is invite you to to find a congregation to go sit on a go sit on a pew and come and see how your life can change. You don't have to um, I mean, you don't have to believe or you do, but come and see. That's that's what my encouragement to you is just come and see what God can do, how he can change things, how he can be the way maker, uh the game changer. He can do all the things. All you got to do is you take the first step and he'll take 10 more after you. So come and see what the Lord can do. Uh, he'll make a difference uh where you can. And uh I also encourage you because where you have fallen shorter, and maybe you've overcome some things that you didn't think you could, but you've overcome them. The the Bible says that we overcome by our testimonies. And so if you don't come for you, come for somebody else. Come for uh maybe your your kid that needs an example, maybe your mom, maybe your dad, or maybe you don't even know the person, but I will tell you. But that person sitting next to you, um, because we say we're believers, we're believers in Christ, but we are also as a congregation believing in you. If you need someone to tell you you can do it, go find a church and they'll tell you you can do it. Go the next person sitting beside you. There's not gonna be a person that's gonna say you can't do that. You can't overcome that addiction, you can't overcome that whatever problem. You can't, there's not gonna be a person next to you that's gonna tell you that. They're gonna say, What? Oh, no problem, you can do it. God's got you, we got you. Come come to our ministry, come to our uh Bible study. You know, they're we're gonna tell you that. So you need a group of people. If you need a group of people, we got you. Find us, find some believers. Oh my god, my goodness. Um, there's a church on every corner. Um, there's you can find your group, your community. You may not fit with every congregation, but there is one for you. Um, no congregation is perfect, but we're all unperfect people. That's the beauty of it, is that there's a we're all unperfect, but we're all but if you're at a church, you're searching for something, right? You're searching and he's there. He's there. Um, he's he's there, and he's open, he's there with open arms, right? Waiting for you. And uh if if you're uh not sure or if you're questioning it, this would be a no better Sunday than to come sit you with a community of people that are believing in something huge, something life-changing. The creator of our universe um will will be in that room. I can promise you you will feel something different when you're in that atmosphere on Sunday, and you'll you'll become a believer. And uh just talking to those those people that that are there, uh you you might make a friend or two. Or three. So we we just wanted to take a few minutes and and encourage you. Um, in fact, you can encourage us. Um, there are moments in our life as we are uh just as human as you are, and uh our life is in cookie cutter and not always rainbows and unicorns. And so uh where my testimony may encourage someone else, your testimony um can encourage me or Cherie. Um and we would love to sit and chat with you and love for you to come to our uh women's Bible study or um sit at sit at our church or let's go eat dinner, lunch, whatever. Um, but we'd we'd love to have you and uh Yeah, love to have you at our church this Sunday. Uh love to uh share uh that special day with you uh in in prayer and just hearing the story of the resurrection of Christ uh of Sunday, uh the glorious day of what happened when he three days in a tomb, but on that third day, something happened and uh It was defeated and he is alive. Yeah, he is alive, he's risen, and uh I can't be more excited about about the opportunity to tell people about that um and just share you know the the um the excitement because the community of believers right now, we're all in anticipation for Sunday. Like I said earlier, we're just uh you know excited about um what happened on Sunday. And so when you're when you're sitting, what if you're at home, don't do it. Don't don't stay home. Get get out of your uh of your home or whatever you're doing. Make the effort. Yeah, get to a church um and and see the difference. Nicole said, come and see, or as Nate would say, come and see uh the man that we're talking about, come and hear about the man that we're that that uh rose on the third day that that miracle happened. Um and uh yeah, just would love that. Yeah, you can listen to that message on uh Facebook. It's Higher Power Ministries. Uh Nate Rodriguez uh did the message. He's the one of our ministers at the church, but uh man, that was it was a great message of come and see because you don't have to you don't have to believe anything I say, just come and see, and the proof will be in the pudding. God will be there and he'll show up in every way. Yeah, there's a generation of of people right now, of younger people that are standing up in faith. Um, and Nate is he's 30, I believe. He's around 30 years old, um, but he's able to tell even the younger generation about God's goodness. Um, he's a young married um man, uh, has two young boys, and man, he's living an example of what uh a God follower should do. He's not just talking about it because people can talk about it, they can highlight it, they can circle it, they can wear a t-shirt, but when you walk the walk, it's different. And so seeing him on on the platform, um, in in you know, giving his uh giving uh a message of of hope, of uh, you know, encouraging other people is exciting. It's exciting to see that uh for our next generation of uh pastors and and married couples and believers, and you know, so I know he's doing a great work uh with Nate um just by hearing that message yesterday. Yeah, it was and and he's also previously served uh in the military. So he's he's worn many hats and his wife is uh so supportive and she has uh she has her hands full too with the with her kids, and so uh people just like us living life um but doing it with Christ in in the center of their life. And that's a difference maker when when you say but with God, uh, but with God but is it's huge. It's a game changer, and and those people that are doing it without God, it it feels uh the Bible says hopeless. You know, you feel like, what am I doing? Uh lost without uh direction, with you know, we are constantly looking for something, searching for it. But when you find God, that search ends. You know who you are in God, you find your identity, it gives you a purpose, it gives you something. The Bible says, um, you seek ye first the kingdom of God. If you seek him first, I promise all your answers will be there. Um, he will begin to do a work within your life, and um, you'll begin to understand what you're here on earth to do. Um, and we are here to disciple people, we're here to tell people the good news, we're here to bring somebody along. Um, and when you fall, it's okay. People say, Well, I'm not perfect. I don't want to go to church, I've done this or that. That's what the church is for. It's for you, it's for me, the people that make mistakes every day. No one is perfect. Um, and that's what that's why Christ took every lashing, every every everything that happened to him that day was for for you. Um, because we're all imperfect. So find the church. Go see the man that everybody's talking about this weekend. If you love today's episode, like, subscribe, and share. If you would like to be on the show, send us a DM.
