🎙️ NEW EPISODE OUT NOW | The Twin Cast Podcast
What season are you in right now?
In this episode, we’re talking about the seasons of life — the waiting, the growing, the loss, the disappointment, the obedience, and the faith it takes to keep going when you don’t have all the answers yet.
Because the truth is, we all walk through seasons we don’t fully understand.
Sometimes you’re in a season of waiting.
Sometimes you’re in a season of loss.
Sometimes you’re in a season of growth.
Sometimes you’re in a season where God is developing something behind the scenes, even when you can’t see it yet.
In this conversation, we open up about trusting God through difficult seasons, holding on to faith when life feels heavy, and believing that there is still a testimony on the other side.
We talk about:
✨ Trusting God in the waiting
✨ Finding hope after loss and disappointment
✨ Why your current season is not wasted
✨ The story of Ruth and Naomi
✨ Gratitude in the middle of the process
✨ Believing God is still working behind the scenes
✨ Why your testimony can help someone else overcome
We believe that if God brought you to it, He can bring you through it.
Your season may not look like what you expected. It may feel slow, painful, confusing, or uncomfortable. But that does not mean God is not working. Sometimes the harvest takes time. Sometimes the growth is happening underneath the surface. Sometimes the waiting season is where God builds your faith, your character, and your testimony.
Our prayer is that this episode reminds you to keep going, keep believing, and keep trusting God right where you are.
You are not stuck.
You are being shaped.
You are not forgotten.
God hears you.
And there is purpose in this season.
Watch until the end and let us know:
What season are YOU in right now — waiting, growing, healing, rebuilding, or stepping into something new?

Because you have to believe it. You have to believe and have faith that you will overcome it. Because if you stay, if you stay in the mindset of sad and disappointed and heartbroken, you can't overcome and get to the other side. Thank y'all for joining the Twin Cast. It's the podcast where business and faith are our foundation and a good laugh is always on the house. We're identical twin sisters navigating the real estate world one deal at a time. The twin cast starts now. Welcome back. We're Nicole and Sheree, Identical Twin Sisters, and your host of the Twin Cast. This is where we talk about faith, real estate, and leveling up. Nicole, let's go. All right, let's get into it. So today we wanted to talk about seasons of life and what seasons of life we are in. Well, we are in a season for sure. A season of, I feel like it's waiting. A season of waiting. And uh we are trusting in God for several things, um, but God's working and developing uh things behind the scenes. I I believe even when you don't see it, he's working. Even when you don't see him, see he's working. I believe it. So the Bible says that, and the reason I want to specifically talk about it is because we talk about being overcomers often. Um the Bible says that you are uh that we are able to overcome by each other's testimony. Um, and so we have been in seasons of our life, uh specifically like you're talking about season of uh growing. Uh we're growing together and uh developing our our skills and our craft. But um previously, I mean, I've gone through a season um of loss. And um, you know, that that was a difficult season to uh to be in um before I had Abby. Um I went through that season of loss and um had a miscarriage, and uh that was probably one of the most difficult times of my life of was uh experiencing that. Um and the Jeremiah 29, 11 was a scripture that got me through that because uh well I didn't know what God's plan was, I had to believe that he had one. Oh yeah, and he does, and he just didn't plan. And his plan was perfect, but I had to believe. Um, and that happened in in 2010 uh when when I went through that season of loss. Um, and I had to, like I said, I had to not only uh believe, but I I because a lot of times we tell people uh, well, God will see you through it, you'll get through it, you'll you'll overcome it because as uh Christians we we say things because these are things that we hear, but we had it was time at that moment I had the rubber met the road and I had to actually believe in what I told what I would tell other people. I had to believe on God's promise that He would get me through it, um, and I would overcome that. Um, and I did, and we did. Um, as a family, we did overcome that. I did have Abby in uh in November 20, 2012. Uh I had a nine-pound perfect little baby girl, and um God's promise was true. He didn't um he I experienced that season of loss and heartbrokenness, but not um I'm I was able to go through that season, but I'm able to tell somebody else because I'm not the only one um that's had a season of loss or go through a miscarriage. I can able, I'm now able to give that testimony to somebody else to say, hey, God, God has a perfect plan. Um, and when it's time for you to walk through that door, he will walk through that door with you and he'll open it um and it will be perfect. Right. Um, and that that's the the key part here is that you trusted God to walk you through that plan um to get you to the other side. You didn't know when uh it was gonna happen, but you knew it would happen at some point, right? Um it wasn't if it was it was just a waiting, you know, that you would trust God in the waiting time. And that's where I think a lot of people lose hope and they just give up, you know, they give up and they don't ever make it to the other side because they want an answer now. And our world that we live in is an instant gratification society. We want answers now. We can't get food quick enough, we can't get answers quick enough, we can't. There's I mean, the average time, I think we have like 12 seconds or something, and we're scrolling and we're scrolling, and uh, we just our attention span isn't there, and you can imagine in life, it doesn't happen that way. You don't get to, you know, uh sometimes you don't get the answers that you want immediately. You know, you have to go through the growing season, and that is not immediate, it takes time. When you are are a farmer, you plant seeds, and when you plant those seeds, it takes time. The harvest is coming, but it's not overnight. You don't wake up to an apple tree, a peach tree, whatever. You don't wake up to those things, it takes time. Um, and that time is what we have to trust that God's growing something in the meantime. He's growing, he's growing something. Um, and and we were mentioned Ruth and Naomi, and um, I believe that uh in the story, Naomi was going through a season of loss, and and she was heartbroken because she had uh lost her uh husband, but also lost her two sons. Um in that season I can't imagine being in, uh, but she was. Um but she also had a daughter-in-law, she had two daughter-in-laws, uh, but one specifically named Ruth, who uh stood the test of time with her, and she she was faithful and obedient, um, and she stood in the gap for her um when she needed it the most because she was she uh Naomi left her town, she went back to Bethlehem um because she was in Moab. Um, and she left her and I uh her and Ruth left that place and went back to Bethlehem, where um Naomi knew she was known in uh the town of Bethlehem, she was known there. Um, but when she got there, what did what did she say? Uh what did Ruth or down? What did Naomi say to tell the people? She told the people to call me uh Mara. Oh, okay. Well she changed her name to bitterness. And sometimes we go through seasons of life where we want to change our name to hopeless or desperate or broke or confused or you know, but that's not what God called you. He's not called you to be those things. No, no, no. Uh he's the redeemer. Um and he and he redeemed their situation. Um at the end of that, the story changes, but um in that moment she she went back to that town and uh she changed she changed her name. She wanted to change it to um Mara. Uh-huh. But Ruth, um Ruth now. Now, Ruth, she she let me read the scripture. Okay. Okay. So it was Ruth, um, Ruth won, and let me tell you, she said, where you go, I'll go. Um now this was a city that Ruth knew nothing about. She did not know this town that uh in Bethlehem, but this was going to be something different, which meant it to me is important because she was willing to go somewhere that she knew nothing about uh because her mother-in-law was going. And she says, Um, let me see, where you die, I will die. Um where you go, I will go, and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Where your your God will be my God, she says. Um so going back to it, what what we're saying is what what kind of faithfulness is that? How faithful, how how much love, you know. She was uh obedient to her her mother-in-law, and she she said, Where you go, I'll go, and your God will be my God. Uh, she stood in that gap for her. But as she she did it, she did it, and God was faithful to Ruth uh and changed that season for both of them. Um because I'm sure Ruth was maybe she was a little doubtful, maybe she was a little confused, but she she was obedient because Naomi had been obedient to God previously. She was just sad at the moment, yeah, but she overcame that. They both overcame that because um by that by Ruth's obedience, um, she met Boaz. She met her Boaz. She obeyed. Now, y'all, if y'all haven't heard that that there's a uh Jensen Winklin. Yes. Now, if you go listen to his boaz story, you'll know exactly what we're talking about. You can tell that's the season. That's the season I'm in. I'm waiting for my boaz. Okay, but you got me. I'm waiting, and I'm waiting. Don't just take anything. Growth, busted, can't be dressed. Don't take them. We're gonna take them. We're gonna take it. Ladies, let's let's let's focus on the boaz. That's what we're looking for. We do not, so we're not gonna do that. Um, and uh Ruth, she Ruth and Naomi. So Boaz is that he came and saved the day for them. Yes, he did. But it wasn't just because uh it was because they went through, they went through, they they didn't give up, they went through and they got to the other side and there was a testimony at the end of it, and sometimes we want to we want to give up in the middle of it. But what we're saying is in the season, be grateful for the season that you're going through. And when you're grateful, God has an opportunity to show up. You'll start seeing God in the little things, and those little things will start to amount to a big thing, but really even if you're if as a parent, you think about these things when you see your kids being grateful with little things, you you want to start giving them a little bit more, and okay, well, you're grateful, you're faithful, you you're joyful, you're happy, you're doing the right thing, yes, and then he's like, Okay, let me I can do a little bit more, and I can do and now she's a little bit even though she's going through this and it might be hard, she's still grateful, you know what? So I'm gonna, I'm gonna I'm gonna do more, and I'm gonna do more. And you know what? God will do that. I know I've seen it time and time again. This season is really testing me with that because I'm you know, we've been walking through a lot of good times, you know, a lot of good times because we've learned our craft, our, you know, over 10 years of uh real estate experience and now pouring into the next generation, we haven't we haven't done that. We've been working with people, you know, uh our age, a little bit younger, older, but people that are ready to buy a house, right? Um but this new season that we're in, we're saying we need to pour into the next generation. And so education is not uh our first uh it isn't it's not our business, to be honest with you. But now we have this wealth of information. But God is our business. Yeah, he's he for sure is. And so if God is in it. But we believe that's right. We believe God is in it. And so if God is in it, we that's all you need to know. That's all we need to know. That's all we know. You know, that that's that that he'll he'll open the right doors when it's time and put the right people in the right places. Um, and if that one door shuts, we'll go to the next door. And then he's the maker of all doors. Because it can't be just a story we tell, right? We believe in what we talk about. We but just as I believed I would have it, I would have Abigail. And I and I did. I believe because God was faithful. He He's not a promise breaker, he's a promise keeper. Yes, he is. And so we believe that we are here in this in this arena for a reason because people need to know. People need to have that foundation set, people need to know about financial literacy, people need to know about communication and and leadership skills. We need to be able to share that with our younger generation. We bel because we have a younger generation. I have a seven-year-old and a 13-year-old, and they need to know how to be in a different, how to overcome situations because they will be in situations that they'll have to overcome. They're gonna have to know hard work, they're gonna have to know how to communicate to other people that are outside of their their circle. They're gonna have to get out of their comfort zone. And they're gonna who else better to for them to learn from? Here I am. Here, there you are, there I am. But they will have to learn to go through those seasons and do it with integrity and do it because they know God has a plan, right? And so we're we're speaking to that time, whatever season you may be in, just keep going through the season. Be grateful for the season that you're in and know that at the end of it, there is going to be a testimony, there's going to be a short a story you can tell. Because you have to believe it. You have to believe and have faith that you will overcome it. Because if you stay, if you stay in the mindset of sad and disappointed and heartbroken, you can't overcome and get to the other side. But I'm there to tell my girls, baby, you're going to get through it. And how? Because I had to get through it. I had to get through my heartbrokenness. I had to get through my disappointment. And they'll have to, and you, they will have to get through those seasons, but also have to believe. They can't get they can't overcome it if they don't believe. You have to believe and have the faith that God will see you through it. If you're in it, God will see you through it. Yeah, absolutely. There's another story in the Bible um about Hannah. She wanted to have a baby. And Hannah, she wanted to have that baby, and she said, God, if you give me this baby, um, that she would dedicate his life to him, you know. And she did have that baby. She waited and she had that baby and she named him Samuel. And uh Samuel means God hears. And so I want anybody that's listening to this podcast to know that God hears you, that what you're praying for, God hears every every time. You speak to him, he's hearing it, you know. Um, and and uh I believe that with all my heart that God hears what you're saying and hears your prayers, um, and hears even the the the short time that you're talking to, whatever time. It don't matter where you're at, it don't matter where you're at, what you're doing. Um, if you're talking to God, that's He knows He knows the very intent of your heart. So um take a moment Um and just know He even knows your thoughts. Yes, He does. He does, he knows. And so we we want you to be confident that you're going through something to get somewhere and enjoy the season. And uh when you get to the other side, we want to hear your story. Yes, we want to hear your story because as we said, we are able to overcome by each other's testimony. So uh share the good news. And if you need, um if you need some help, if you need someone, um we can link arms with you because we we all need a friend uh and we need someone in our corner, uh, just as Ruth was in Naomi's corner. We all need someone to to get to root for you, and and we're here for it. We're here to root you on to get to the other side so you can share your testimony to someone else. Yeah. If you like today's episode, like, share, and subscribe. And until next time, keep dreaming big, planning smart, and remember with the right team, you hold the keys.
