What does it take to have faith for the impossible? Join Ray Bradshaw and his friends John Paul Murphy, Daniel Bill, and John Quinn from Word of Faith Ministries as they delve into their transformative experiences at a powerful revival conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With riveting testimonies from speakers who have triumphed over adversity, this episode reveals how belief can lead to extraordinary outcomes even in the most challenging environments.

In this episode, you’ll discover the remarkable journey of Russell Johnson—a pastor who turned his life around from living with a club foot and autism to leading four thriving churches in one of America’s most difficult spiritual landscapes, Seattle. Russell shares how he embraced challenges and leveraged faith to build a community against all odds, raising $36 million in a single Sunday to secure a $50 million church building. His story exemplifies the true power of unwavering belief and divine intervention in achieving what seems unattainable.

We also break down essential insights from other influential speakers at the conference. You’ll hear how Dak Haywood Mills emphasizes the importance of being a committed son in faith, not just a passive employee, and Matthew Ash Malone’s call to militant faith—equipping listeners with the tools to execute God’s work decisively. Each speaker brings invaluable lessons on how to navigate life’s trials with a faith that inspires action.

This conversation is crucial for anyone feeling overwhelmed by their circumstances or questioning the viability of their dreams. The message is clear: when you align your faith with action, the impossible becomes possible. Are you ready to transform your challenges into opportunities?

Tune in for an episode that’s not just about stories; it’s about empowerment, hope, and the relentless pursuit of faith in a world that often seems unholy. Perfect for anyone seeking inspiration and practical advice on how to live boldly in their spiritual journey.

SPEAKER_05

Welcome to the Testament Faith Podcast. I'm Ray Bradshaw, and joining me tonight are my good friends John Paul Murphy, Daniel Bill, and John Quinn from the World of Faith Ministries Church out of Kingsville, North Carolina. And last week, John and John they went to a conference in Pennsylvania, where that? Yep. Pennsylvania. Kind of like a revival. Um titled What No Eye Has Seen, and they're gonna give us a little bit on that, what they got out of it, and what they brought back with them. And then we're gonna get into our podcast, which is gonna be titled Living Holy in an Unholy World.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Oh the conference was in Pennsylvania.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, in Pittsburgh, right outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Um they had um what was it, five different speakers, five different speakers while we were there, and we left early on Saturday so we could be back at church. But they had five different speakers ministering, um, six speakers. And um seen some mighty men of faith and the whole thing was, you know, like you said, what nobody had seen. And the the title of it was Faith for the Impossible. Believe in God for, you know, the impossible things. And some of the you know, one of the ministers up there is from Seattle, Washington, Russell Johnson, and he was ministering, you know, um talking about what he had um been able to do with God's help, you know, seeing his testimony, you know, testimonies of faith, you know, seeing his testimony of what he's dad, you know, he had born with a clubfoot, and God had, you know, at an early age healed his clubfoot, had stigmative autism, had all different things that he had going on that, you know, a battle in his mind. And God healed him of that stuff and raised him up to be a pastor over four different churches in probably the worst place in a m one of the top worst places in America, Seattle, Washington. Um, dark place, you're talking about living holy in an unholy world. I mean, you know, this guy's living in a place where he was ridiculed. They killed people at his church. On the way into the church, they killed somebody, um, threw rocks at him. He had to be moved by the FBI because he had so many death threats on him. And um you know, he was really persecuted um for, you know, serving God. They threw pea balloons at him and his wife on the way into church, um, really persecuted him deeply, and God kept using him, he kept persevering, and now he's built up four churches in that area and you know, there was this big church getting ready to close down in Seattle or Coke some Kirkland or somewhere in that area that um they were getting ready to sell and it had been a church from the 70s and you know he was you know, this whole title was Faith for the Impossible. And they said, We're gonna sell this this building and we're gonna sell it to a Google or to somebody else that's you know because it's a fifty million dollar building. Right. And he said, um, he said, I've never seen fifty million of anything. He said, I have no way to believe that. He said, but my whole they started out in a barn.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Stealing power from the neighbors, not really stealing power, but borrowing paper from the neighbors neighbors, started in a barn and he started ministering, and then they outgrew the barn and like they showed pictures of the barn. Like they were literally in a barn. I mean an old wooden barn preaching, and then they went into a small storefront and left a stall storefront, went to another building, and went every time they get into one building, they would outgrow it. But then he's you know, they've got up to 2,000 people just in ten years from a barn to 2,000 people. And then in a place that's considered to be the one of the worst places in America for Christianity, one of the worst places. Um, you know, he uses the saying, he says, I'm like a mosquito in a nudist colony. He said, I'm full of opportunity, there's sinners everywhere. There's centers everywhere, I've got opportunity everywhere. That's for sure. He said, So people say asking me, How do you do it? He said, I'm just surrounded with opportunity. And I just do what God's told me to do. And he went in to talk to these people about this building, and they said, you know, well, if you can afford it, you know, taught him down like you can't do it. And he said, Well, he said, he said, you know, I just felt it in my spirit. He said, We're gonna buy it. He said, We're gonna buy it. And uh he said, I got out of there and he said, I don't know how we're gonna do this. He's like, I don't know how. He said, but he said, I just gave it to God. He said, This is yours, it's not mine. I'm not, it's not Russell Johnson doing this, this is all you got. I'm trusting in you. You told me to do it, so I'm listening to you, you figure it out. And he got up there on a Sunday morning and started ministering on Mother's Day of all days. And instead of celebrating mothers, he gets up there and says, We got a vision, and this is the vision. This is what God's leading us into. He said, you know, and he uses this example on his thing. He said, Who would pay $50 million for a building? And he showed a mosque that they were building two-day road church. For a church, yeah, over the two who would pay two million this much money for a church? He said, He's got up there and showed a video of their playing eight acres that they're building a mos down the road. They paid, what was it, 20 something million? It was a lot of money for the just the land. And then time they were gonna get done, it was gonna cost a hundred million dollars to build this mosque. It was gonna have a school in it. And it said, what impact could this make in our community?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

That's what for the the mosque. And he says, you know, if they're willing to do it and they serve dead gods that's not alive, that doesn't have any power, what can El Shaddai do? The God of more than nothing. He said, What can my God? How much can what my God can do? He said, if they can believe that with dead gods, he said, What can I believe with a God that lives? And so he got up there and he started preaching a message and just ministered on it, and the funds thirty six million dollars. Good God.

SPEAKER_02

They said that was the biggest two or three pastors had talked about it, and they said that that was the biggest offering they had ever heard of, including the TBN telethons where they used to do take.

SPEAKER_07

It went worldwide. It went one day, the most money raised in one day for that thing, and he just he went up there and he said I called him in about midday and said, What's going on? How much money did we pull in? They said, We don't know. He said, I called him two hours later. We don't know. He said, We ain't never seen this much money. We're still trying to count. We're still counting we're still trying to count.

SPEAKER_02

They said it looked like that they had robbed the pirates of the Caribbean because there were people were dropping off gold, jewelry, gold chains, coins, gold, uh just different sections. We don't know how to we don't know how to figure out how much it is because of what that's amazing. Yeah, so it looks like we robbed the pirate ship. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

They said, you know, that that they came in and they got it just brought it in, and now there was somebody said, We're gonna make a commitment, we're gonna give you a million dollars right now. One person gave a million dollars, and then they said we're gonna commit to five more million to build this for the kingdom of God because Seattle needs to be one. Um still needs to be one. Yeah, that's what they're doing. He's doing it. I mean, he's out there in the middle of you know, where they're having all the rights and all the things, he's in the middle of it preaching the gospel, winning souls to the Lord, one after another. He had testimonies in his church, you see it all the time of how people that was, you know, trans that have turned their life around and now have came into Christianity, and he's just one testimony behind another of all the things God's doing in his ministry. That was amazing. Um he probably impacted me so much about you know telling his testimony because he has so many obstac obstacles that he had to overcome in his mind just to to get where he's at.

SPEAKER_02

He he preaches and he's he still has uh autism. I mean, you can tell, but he's able to preach.

SPEAKER_07

I mean that man he can He'll have the whole s crowd standing up, two thousand people on their feet. Yeah, standing up clapping up, clapping, shouting because he's he's 'cause he's preaching such a a power back message. That's awesome. And um so they had that and then um the host Jonathan he did a fantastic knock-up job, and then we had seen one of the guys, Dak Haywood Mills, um ministered on uh what it means to be um a father, a good shepherd, and then he said, 'Cause you gotta get this right. You gotta learn how to follow to be able to walk into the steps of being um He's big on learning how to be a son.

SPEAKER_02

He he ha one of his messages he talked about you need to be a son. He said, because if you're just if you're just uh employee he said it's different. He said he said uh he said sons live in the house. He said employees just wait for clock in and clock out. He said, But a a son says, What can I do? What more can I do? A son has a vested interest. Right. Well the son is wanting to build build what his father has because he knows he's gonna inherit it one day. If you know you're gonna inherit something, then you're gonna work harder to get your inheritance than what you would if you were just clocking in to work for a boss. If you work for somebody and they make you mad, you can quit. But you can't quit being my son. You can't quit being my daughter. That's right. You can't quit that.

SPEAKER_07

He said a son says, Oh yes. When the daddy when the father says something, a good son says, Yes. Oh yeah, dad. Oh yeah, I'll do it. I'll do it. That's right. Oh yes, I'll do it. Because a good son understands that I'm about my father's business. Like Jesus said, I'm about my father's business. I'm doing my father's. Oh yes. Every time God tells you something, say, Oh yes, just oh yes. I'm doing it. I'm doing it. Yes, Father.

SPEAKER_02

Not just to you, Heavenly Father, but he said that that you had and he was he also put it in a way where he said, you know, honor a lot of honor churches, that is that is the biggest thing in America right now.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

People are they think they're too big to s to submit and honor them. That's like I want to tell people all the time, and and this is probably gonna hair lip some people.

SPEAKER_07

Go ahead and hairlip.

SPEAKER_02

But I want to look at 'em and say, if you don't honor me, why are you sitting in here listening to me?

SPEAKER_07

You gotta honor me.

SPEAKER_02

If you don't honor me and you're not gonna and you're gonna conter contradict what I'm saying as soon as I walk down off of this stage, or I was from standing up here, then go down the road to the other church and listen to what he's gotta say. But quit.

SPEAKER_07

You gotta honor who's above you. That's what he was teaching on. Like, you know, because God's chosen somebody and who you sit under, you honor them. And if it's not the right person for you, gotta move you. But you gotta honor people, and a lot of people don't honor. And you know, that's not I'm not sucking honoring by no means. I don't want you to do nothing for me. I could care less. But there's a principle in the Bible as you honor, and I can give you a bunch of scripture moments. You honor right. Yeah, you can receive right. Yeah, you don't honor right, you can't receive right. But that's uh that's a thing with anybody, you know. I have ministers that are. Yeah, I honor like the spiritual fathers over my life, and honor is is a key thing, but he taught that, and that was good. Um then Matthew Ash Malone, he taught on being a militant faith, how to stand strong, how to carry out the work of God, how to get things done, not to, you know, be playing around, but really get into it. And um, you know, and then we got to hear um Jesse DuPlanis. He showed up one night. He was the surprise guest, and he was talking about, you know, faith for the impossible. It's doable. Yeah. Having faith for it.

SPEAKER_02

He talked about how he when he grew up, he lived in a single I wanted a single wide mobile home.

SPEAKER_07

Single wide mobile home. And now he's But people think he got rich off of his ministry. And people don't realize the man, the man, God told him to buy a piece of land, I think it was like Mississippi or Louisiana or wherever it is. It was a hundred a hundred and something acres. And then when the oil boom came through and they found oil on that land.

SPEAKER_02

Everybody thought it was a trash piece of land. He found oil on it. One of the biggest oil reserves that they is. There's one of the biggest ones. It's a billion dollars. He can control the price of oil down there.

SPEAKER_07

A billion dollar oil reserve.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

A billion. Not billion dollars.

SPEAKER_02

They told him that he couldn't do it. He looked at him and he said, Yes, I can.

SPEAKER_07

And he did.

SPEAKER_02

And they you don't know who you're dealing with. He said, No, you don't know who you're dealing with. Right.

SPEAKER_07

And then he bought that. And then so he was telling them, you know, it's not I don't get this money, you know, from the ministry because people ridicule him like he's one of the wealthy.

SPEAKER_02

Then I can tell you that man's been audited enough if they could find anything about like truth.

SPEAKER_07

Twelve times they've checked him. Yeah. Audited him. He's like, they could check me. He's like, there's nothing to hide.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I got it.

SPEAKER_07

I had nothing to hide. I'm not showing you, I've showed you everything. Yeah. They come in and they've audited me twelve times.

SPEAKER_02

If they wanted to audit me, a million dollar plane and paid cash for it.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, but he's and that's what people don't understand is like where he got it from, what God had led him into doing and you know, some of the stories I didn't know I learned that night, and that was interesting. And then um just a lot of good stories, faith building. I mean, the time you get out of there, if you don't have faith to believe for anything, yeah. You could see we were sitting in a miracle church. Yeah. Um, the building that we were in, they said it couldn't be done.

SPEAKER_02

And they built it out and what ten months built a whole month. And the guy that was selling it to him, or the guy that originally bought it, he was he went in and told the contractors, he said, Y'all are gonna take a loss on this, or you're not he's a big time real estate guy. He said, You're either gonna take a loss on this, he said, or you're not working on any of my other projects. He said, So Do it for less. Do it for less.

SPEAKER_07

And he painted the whole place for for under cost. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. Under cost.

SPEAKER_07

Under cost. He's like, you're not making money on it. He's like, if you want the rest of my jobs, you're gonna do this, you're gonna take a loss on this.

SPEAKER_05

You're gonna take a loss on it.

SPEAKER_02

And he he said And he told him he's like, if y'all don't have the money, you pay me when you get it, he said, I'll I'll front the money for it. So you don't have to get banks involved.

SPEAKER_07

And they built a seven million dollar building debt-free in ten months. A miracle. I mean, it's just a miracle building to stand in and it just uh you know, and they services lasted, you got there at nine o'clock in the morning.

SPEAKER_02

For all you people that get upset if the pastor goes past twelve fifteen. Yeah, we were in meetings from nine o'clock in the morning.

SPEAKER_07

You had to stand in line because it they're the expectation was big.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You were expecting. And you got there at nine, you didn't get out till two o'clock every day. You had to be back there at four o'clock to get or four thirty, five o'clock to get in like and to get ready because we didn't want to sit all the way to the back, we wanted to sit close to the front.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I'm not gonna drive from North Carolina to Pennsylvania to sit on the back road.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. So then you get there, and then close service didn't get out till eleven thirty, twelve o'clock that night. Right back at right back in there at nine o'clock the next morning. Now you talking about people that don't want to be in church. There was a place, and it was we started out, there was probably like seven, eight hundred people there. By the end of the week, there was over two thousand.

SPEAKER_02

And they weren't dead. There were not dead bodies there. I did not have to go hold a mirror in front of none of them's face.

SPEAKER_07

They were expecting the praise. I tell you, thumbs up.

SPEAKER_02

The praise and worship lasted an hour.

SPEAKER_07

It sounded like That's awesome. I can imagine being in that room what heaven sounds like. Because I've heard so many voices praising God at one time. It was such a beautiful sound. I was standing in there, like one of the statements when you got 2,000 people singing praise and worship.

SPEAKER_02

And the guy that's the lead singer, instead of actually singing, he'll say one word and then hold the microphone right now. Everybody else sing it.

SPEAKER_07

All at one time, hands lifted up across the whole building. Everybody stood.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there wasn't around. A lot of energy. A lot of energy power. Jumping straight up and down like they were at a like they were at a a rock con. They were just so excited. I mean, it was so exciting because people were really praising God, really loving on God, and that was That's one of the reasons why a lot of churches won't have revival is because the people that work there hate church.

SPEAKER_05

And they don't want to be there. Sounds like something everybody needs to go check out.

SPEAKER_07

I will definitely be there again next year.

SPEAKER_05

That's awesome.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I'm glad y'all had a good time. Maybe next year we can go with you.

SPEAKER_07

I I already told you.

SPEAKER_02

I tell you, I tell you how to take care of the maybes. What you do is you go out there and you crank your truck and you put your clothes in it and you drive. Just go. But don't go up through Richmond and Washington, D.C. Mount Airy, right on up pretty country up there.

SPEAKER_06

Tell them I thought it never went that way, John Paul. You know we always go to Mount Area and go up to the world. Don't take 95.

SPEAKER_02

Living holy in an unholy world.

SPEAKER_06

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Me and John Paul were praying for each other.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Well, leading into that, that's the name of our podcast tonight. It's living holy in an unholy world.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I'm gonna read first Peter 1, 15 and 16. Give it to us. But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, be holy for I am holy. And living holy in an unholy world to me is being more Christlike. Learning and growing and being more Christlike to friends, family, setting better examples for my family, my children.

SPEAKER_06

Holiness begins with God's character.

SPEAKER_05

Right. Holiness is God's standard for every believer, not just church leaders.

SPEAKER_02

Holiness and righteousness are pretty well the same uh because it's being in right standing before God.

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Holiness is is is the same thing. Living uh living a God approved lie.

SPEAKER_07

Well, you know, the God's standards has never came down just because the world and that's the thing, the world has tried to to lower the standard.

SPEAKER_06

They want you to conform.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, because uh look at what they put on TV now. I mean, uh if somebody ain't gonna be. I mean, you can't you can't.

SPEAKER_02

Two men kissing or you can.

SPEAKER_07

Well, you can, but I'm because I don't watch that garbage in my house. I can tell you, if dad comes on my house, I I'm up there about ready to take that TV and rip it in the middle like that, because I'm not gonna deal with it. I I have a heavy zero tolerance. At my house, we have a lock on our TV. You have to put a code in because I'm not letting my children watch trash. Right. I'm not letting well at my house we have a zero tolerance of trash. And I call it trash. I mean, you might as well throw it in trash.

SPEAKER_05

I try to explain that to my family too, because all that stuff, even though you might not think what you put in, is you're not thinking about it at the time. But man, I wish I wish that weren't so trashy talking, but you keep sitting there watching it. Well, I mean it's running in your mind.

SPEAKER_02

Next thing you know, you slip up and say it.

SPEAKER_05

That's right, because every time you hear that word on there, you repeat it in your mind.

SPEAKER_02

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouse speaks. Right.

SPEAKER_06

What informs you forms you forms you, that's right.

SPEAKER_02

That's exactly right.

SPEAKER_07

So you don't put let up, you don't take the trash in. You know, we be informed by the word of God. Right. I mean, you think about the the 30s, the forties, the fifties, the sixties, the seventies, they was a standard of you didn't see the things you see on TV now. Yep. I mean, you know, e people drew the husband and wife just into it. Yeah, you didn't see that.

SPEAKER_06

You can see them in the same bed. That's right. That's why some of those over shows one of them was standing up, the other one would be in bed, didn't you? Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Because in I Love Lucy, they had two beds in there. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

You, you know, there's a standard's been lowered across America, but we've never been called to lower.

SPEAKER_02

That's what the devil wants you to think. Well, that's not so bad.

SPEAKER_06

It's wholly because we belong to God.

SPEAKER_02

Well that's the devil's alive.

SPEAKER_05

Well, and and that goes on a while ago, but we were talking about being militant. Mm-hmm. I mean, we've lost that being militant. Exactly. And and not standing up for what we believe in.

SPEAKER_07

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. I mean, because now I mean even in my household, I've heard that every time somebody said something, I'd be like, Well, the Bible says this. Well, well, nothing. No. The Bible says this, and I'm not budgeting off of it.

SPEAKER_02

Well, Malachi three, six, God It says, For I am the Lord, I change not. Change not. That's right. I change not. God is not gonna change.

SPEAKER_06

That's that's like my little thing I did on Facebook today. You know, I try to do something every day, whatever the Lord leads me to say, you know, are you bold in your faith?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Or do you hide? Yeah. That's right. Do you do you tell people about Christ? Do you s do you try to minister to I didn't say all this, this is just what's coming to me now. Do you minister?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Do you feed the sheep? Feed my sheep. Loveest thou these. Yes, Lord, I do. Feed my sheep. Are we feeding the sheep? Are we trying to feed the sheep? Are we telling people about Jesus? If you do, you will. That's right. Because it gets easier. I sat with a guy this morning. Um, I'm training a dog for him, and we were talking, and of course, uh, you know, conversation comes uh to Jesus in church in the morning. And he was telling me that he runs a business and fairly successful business. And he said a couple of months ago that somebody told him you're gonna have to quit praying before meeting. He said, I gotta do what? I said, Yeah, you got this 20-year-old kid that works for you that says he's an atheist and he don't like it. He said, Well, two weeks ago, the same kid the guy was telling him about, and I'm going somewhere it is, told him he appreciated in praying before the meetings that he's he was an atheist, but he's starting to appreciate and listen to the prayers. This is America's problem. Uh-huh. I think John's upset about something. So I'm gonna tell Ray, hey, you shouldn't say that because John's not gonna like it. I mean, ask John nothing. That's right. But I'm gonna tell you that he's he's not gonna like it.

SPEAKER_02

If anybody tells you I said I don't like something, more than likely they're lying because I don't know what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I mean, you go look at the na national world news now, all these rights going on.

SPEAKER_02

I prefer not to.

SPEAKER_05

Look at the people that's actually out there writing, have nothing to do with what's going on. Yeah. Or the people they're writing for. They just go out there and do it because they think that's what they want.

SPEAKER_02

If those people would get a job and go to work, they wouldn't have time to do that.

SPEAKER_07

Ain't that a truth? But people that push holiness like it's it's nothing. Like you shouldn't, you don't that's old fashioned. Right. That's old fashioned, you just being old fashioned. No, it's a call of God that you're supposed to live set apart. We're not called to blend in. And see, that's the thing you've got. I like I say, chameleon Christians where they just blend in. Let's just let's don't rock the bone. They blend in. If you put them on this table, they just blend right in. They're gonna blend in. I don't want to offend nobody. I don't want to that if you were with us the other day, I mean, we got a between the three of us, we got a 50 on mercy. We didn't have no mercy between us on a score on a test that a 50 is the like 60 was the highest. There's no I don't have a lot of mercy. Not I scored the lowest, I scored a six. Yeah, he did. He did, but I did. I didn't have no.

SPEAKER_02

I seen the devil score it was a seven.

SPEAKER_07

And uh I didn't have no mercy. I just I I'm very military. I'm like, you know, this is what you need to do. If you don't want to do it, then you do what you want to and go to hell. But I'm I'm trying to help you.

SPEAKER_02

We don't want you to go to hell. I don't want you to do it.

SPEAKER_07

But if that's what you're doing, I'm and I'm like that everywhere. I am kind of strong and headed, but but you need to you're not called to blend in. We're called to stand out.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Yeah, but be different.

SPEAKER_06

When I heard that guy say something about being militant, it really spoke to me. I'm like, oh wait, mercy and militant don't really live together. No. Right. And we really need a militant faith. We need to be bold in our faith.

SPEAKER_04

That's right.

SPEAKER_06

You know, like I I said, told him not, I said, So I'll spit in the devil's eye. I don't care. You know, but in 1 Peter 2 9, it says, But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people. Now, peculiar here didn't mean weird. It meant we're a peculiar people, we're God's possession. Right. We belong to him.

SPEAKER_07

We belong to him.

SPEAKER_06

We represent, we represent God everywhere we go. What do we represent? Exactly. We're set apart. What do we represent? So if if I meet you on the street and I don't know who you are, I don't know that you're saved, do I feel your spirit, your presence? Or or do you feel my spirit and presence and you come down to my level? That's why we need to be militant. We need to make sure people feel our presence and our God.

SPEAKER_05

To me, be a militant would be bold enough to walk up to somebody. Do you know Jesus Christ?

SPEAKER_06

Exactly.

SPEAKER_05

And they say, Yeah, you carry on a good conversation with them, have a nice day, move on.

SPEAKER_06

If they don't, then that's when you pray for them. When it says we're separate, separation isn't running away from sinners. Like he just said, I don't want to watch trash on TV. Right. I don't want trash in my house. I'm separated from that, but I still want to minister to a s to uh any sinner. I don't care who it is. You know?

SPEAKER_07

And you have to set yourself apart. It's not, oh well, God's gonna come in and set this away from me. No, you have to make a decision.

SPEAKER_06

Jesus sat down and date with sinners.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Oh yeah. But he didn't send. That's right.

SPEAKER_07

That's right. You have to set yourself apart away from it. Um because there's so much trash out there that you have to set yourself apart from it.

SPEAKER_05

I know you're talking about that, do you? I mean, I think y'all have it. I think Christian and myself talked about it before, but as far as watching TV and getting away from that mess, I mean I don't care what you watch, you can't find it.

SPEAKER_07

Mm-mm.

SPEAKER_05

Except the angel app. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I got that.

SPEAKER_05

That that is the only TV that I've found that you can watch. There might be some shoot 'em up bang bang stuff on there. There's no sex, there's no drugs, there's no cussing. And everything I've watched on there so far.

SPEAKER_06

That's right. You know I'm an example of an illustration guy. So here's you a good example about being set apart. A boat is supposed to be on the water. Yep. But the boat ain't supposed to have water in it.

SPEAKER_04

That's right.

SPEAKER_06

The boat is separated and set apart from the water, but it's supposed to be with the water. We're supposed to be set apart from the sinners because we shouldn't live like 'em. That's right. But we should be with them in that we're there. That's right. You got Romans there?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I got Romans twelve through one, but I had another one that kind of went on what was going to go on with uh what Daniel was just saying, but I'll read just Romans twelve verses one and two. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service, and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. And that right there says, Be transformed by the renewing your mind. I think that's where most people have the hardest because they're so scared to let go of these world is worldly stuff.

SPEAKER_07

It's not how close I can get to sin and still go to heaven. Right. Right. People want to see how close can I get away with. What can I get away with? What's what mercy can I get? What grace can I get? What can I get? How much can I do and still make it to heaven? That's not called holiness.

SPEAKER_05

That's called Just because we've been given grace does not mean that we get to keep living in sin.

SPEAKER_07

They see they want to push the line of how close I can get, and that's not what it should be. It should be this question here. How close can I get to Jesus? How close can I get to his presence? How can I do more for Jesus Christ? Not how close I can get to sin and still go to heaven. That's not if you've got that kind of idea, I mean, you're probably gonna you're probably running to hell as faster than you can go. You just don't know. There's gonna be a lot of people that say they know Jesus and still bust hell wide open.

SPEAKER_06

I tell people when you get there, you're gonna be surprised who ain't there. But you're also gonna be surprised who is there.

SPEAKER_02

You call me Lord, Lord, but your hearts are far from me.

SPEAKER_06

That's right. That's right. I never knew you. So the battle's won and lost in the mind, it really is. And I preached a sermon yesterday on Psalms 23, and I said, I'm gonna tell you right now, you've never heard this preacher where I'm fixing to preach it. I said, Psalms 23 ain't about a funeral.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_06

It's about a shepherd. Yeah, a good shepherd. And I'm not gonna go through the whole sermon because we don't have time for me to preach it again today, but I would if you wanted me to. Anyways, so it says, He anointeth my head with oil, right? So what? Most people think when you say he anointed my head with oil, is all right, well yeah, David was the psalmist. David wrote it. He was anointed to be king. He he was anointed. That is a form of anointing. But what he's talking about here, you have to think about a shepherd with his sheep. So if his sheep goes out and he gets hurt, he'll put a salve on it, he'll put an ointment on it. He anoint that sheep with ointment for healing, for transformation. What lives in my head, what lives in your head, my brain. He anointed my head with oil. He anointed me, he fixed my mind. My mind needed fixing. That's right. And that is like when I when I was reading, studying for that sermon, when that when that popped up in my head, I'm like, wow, I never thought. Because like I look back at the Greek words and the Hebrew words, and when it went to anointment instead of anointing, I'm like, wait, wait a second, because I'm looking at this from a shepherd's point of view, leading a flock, leading his sheep. Yeah, and I'm like, oh wow, he he anointed my head with oil. He anointed my head with oil. That's right. He fixed my mind.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

You know, and then you renew your mind through prayer and scripture and worship and and fellowship like we're doing right here.

SPEAKER_02

Let this mind that was in Christ be also in you.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly, exactly. You got it.

SPEAKER_02

But I in that scripture that he just said that Romans. Yeah, in Romans it talked about a living sacrifice. Present yourself a living sacrifice. Sacrifice is giving up. When you sacrifice something, you're giving it up. You're giving up like the scripture says it's not I that lives, but Christ that lives. I'm crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. It's not I that liveth, but Christ liveth in me.

SPEAKER_06

And there's examples of people living holy and in holy tongues through the Bible. I mean, look at look at Noah.

SPEAKER_02

Look at Daniel. Yeah. Look at Shadrach, Meshach, and the Bible.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly. Joseph in Egypt. The early church in Rome.

SPEAKER_02

I mean You speak of this you speak in this name again.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02

And then it talks about the thing. But he's like, all right. Well, Jesus is our son. I mean I'll do it right here.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, we are called to deny the flesh.

SPEAKER_07

I mean, Second Timothy three tells you about that, that there'll be in the last time, there'll be that time in the last days that people will come lovers. Men were lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boast and be proud. I mean, it's gonna tell you this is coming. I mean, it's not like it's a surprise, surprise.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, 2 Timothy 3, yeah, 313 says, Yeah, evil, but evil men and seducer shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. In other words, they're gonna try to deceive you about all this stuff going on in the world, but they're also being deceived their selves.

SPEAKER_02

Now we're talking about holy and an unholy world. But now I'm a firm believer that if you want to look for bad, you'll find bad. Whatever you purpose in your heart to look for, you'll find. Seeking you shall find. If you're looking for good, you'll find good. Oh, there's good in mind. I tell you what, if if I guarantee you, if your wife, dec Christy, decides she wants to have a problem, she can find something. I know my wife can. She can find a reason to have a problem with me, even if there's really not one. What you're looking for, you'll find. Terrible.

SPEAKER_06

My disclaimer, I love you, baby. I didn't say it. She does watch the podcast FYI.

SPEAKER_05

And you shall find. Yes. And that reminds me, James James chapter four, verse four, too, goes along with that. Adulterers and adulteresses. Do you not know that friendship with the world is emitted with God? However, therefore, whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

unknown

Yep.

SPEAKER_06

And I don't want to be an enemy of God. Like you're talking about be a living sacrifice. At first it was a sacrifice.

SPEAKER_04

Yep.

SPEAKER_06

But it's not anymore.

SPEAKER_04

That's right.

SPEAKER_06

It's how I want to walk. I want to walk upright. I don't want to. It's just a whole new mindset, the renewity of the mind. It all comes together.

SPEAKER_05

And we've we've talked about it on here a lot too. The more you get into it, the easier it gets.

SPEAKER_02

Love what God loves, hate what God hates. That's right. Yeah, that's easy. That's just easy.

SPEAKER_07

It's the easier way to do it. The more you do, he loves people. He hates to sin. Don't just love. And so you can't love the system of this world. And that goes back to what all things is going.

SPEAKER_06

But also you fix to step on somebody's toes because I feel like you fix to say you can't love your denomination. Oh, did I say that out loud?

SPEAKER_07

People, people's all way that they're doing it, the way they got the systems, you know. You just open up a can of worms. The uh the denomination whole deal was built back. We've covered this before on the podcast, it's built back on what man made it be. We're never called to have certain denominations. We're called to be the church, the body of Christ, carrying out. You gotta understand you're the hands and feet of Jesus. He's the mind. He's the one telling speaking to us, but he's like, take me, carry me out, do the work of God. And you gotta love, you can't love this world and the systems of this world and love Christ.

SPEAKER_02

The body carries the head.

SPEAKER_07

There will always be pressure to compromise in this world. If a little bit of compromise won't hurt, a little bit of compromise, and I I've told this to John and Daniel, you know, I've just made up my mind lately that I don't care what everybody else thinks, I'm going all in 110%. I'm probably gonna offend some people along the way. But you know, if it good luck. If I offend you, you know, moving right along.

SPEAKER_02

Equal opportunity offenders. Because you know what?

SPEAKER_07

I'm tired of playing around. I'm tired of doing this stuff that you know, well, what if so and so gets upset? Well, if they get upset, tough turkey. Yeah, because you know what? You're I'm being led by God. Yeah. And here's the thing I spend hours a week.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, it's serious. This is serious.

SPEAKER_07

I spend hours a week doing this, praying, studying. And they might not have spent hours a week. I'm not condemning them. Spend time seeking God. And then I get a word from God, I'm gonna carry it out. If it offends somebody.

SPEAKER_05

That's what we've told on earlier before. When you find a Lord, you start losing a lot of friends. Yeah. But they really want your friends.

SPEAKER_07

They ain't just your friends, it's people that call you your helpers.

SPEAKER_06

They want something. There was a minister in South Carolina asking why he never smiled, why he was never happy. He was saved in the joy of the Lord. And he said, I do have the joy of the Lord, but I don't smile because this is serious. Yeah. There's people dying and going to hell every day. That's not something to be happy about. Right. Yeah. And that's why we have to live holy in an unholy world, because the world has got to see what we see. Yeah, we gotta lead them by example. Exactly. Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And it's amazing when if you really get to but now it's easier to lead somebody to the Lord if they see joy on you. Right. This is true. I mean, I it is. I mean, you know, there's a lot of people in church. I don't want what they got. I've seen their face.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_07

God loads. They look like they sucked on a lemon and pickled in pickle juice. Mad about the words.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, you know, you can choose you can choose what side of the bed you want to wake up on.

SPEAKER_07

Exactly. Exactly. Yeah. You know.

SPEAKER_05

You know, you can when your feet hit the floor and you go thinking God's waking you up. I mean, you can go ahead. That's right there when you start your mindset how your day's gonna be.

SPEAKER_06

Seek ye first the kingdom of God. Like, so Wednesday, I told this in church the other night, because I told him it was a blessing, and I told them about the blessing they got too. God told me not to preach the 29-page sermon that I had worked on for weeks. But I woke up Wednesday morning and John and John Paul were gone to the meeting, and I had been listening to the meetings myself, you know, and my during my day I put my earbuds in and you know, flip it on. And it was, I mean it was a powerful meeting. Because I wake up Wednesday morning and I felt awful. And before I could say, Thank you, Jesus, for waking me up, the devil said, Oh wait, you don't feel good. You're you're sick. And I don't know how you're gonna do it because you're supposed to go run the warehouse, feed the dogs, take care of the dogs, the horses, the warehouse. Yeah, I said the warehouse twice because I had to take everything out, put everything up. And I was like, Oh my goodness, I feel so bad, my stomach hurts. I got in my pickup truck, and halfway down my driveway, God said, Hold on a second, you've been telling people out of your mouth to seek ye first the kingdom of God. And I and that God'll chase in his own. And when he did, I got a whooping right there in the middle of my driveway. And I said, You're right. I am wrong. Thank you, Jesus, for waking me up. Thank you for the blessings I'm gonna get today that I don't even know is coming. Now, you know how far I live from the church. I pulled out of my driveway with my stomach hurting so bad I was about to double over in pain. I pulled into the warehouse, not a pain in the world. That's right. Was fine. When you wake up on the right side of the bed, you wake up on the right side of the bed.

SPEAKER_07

The devil loves to get you saying uh all kinds of things in your mind, you know. He attacks your mind to like to talking about being unholy. He tries to get you to do things like that. But it also just like that, oh you don't feel good, you can't do it, this, that, and other. And you gotta remember, like you said, renewing your mind to stand on what the word of God says. I am healed. I don't care what this body tells me. You don't define me. The dominion that we talked about, you can't tell me who I am.

SPEAKER_06

I I he's like that military. And he was like, and you're supposed to preach tonight.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And and you know, when you stand in front of people and you minister, every word out of my mouth, I'm gonna be asked about, I'm gonna be called about. You know, when I go to heaven, there's gonna be a record of everything I said. It's very important that I make sure I speak with the mind of God and with the word of God and not just Daniel. And he's like, You're supposed to preach tonight. If you don't feel good, God's like, Really? Really?

SPEAKER_05

When I get like that, I I like to quote Philippians 4 13. And I might not be using it the way Paul was using it when he wrote it, but I like to quote it because it does mean something to me because of that.

SPEAKER_06

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I can do all things.

SPEAKER_05

I can do all things through Christ who strengths. Exactly. That's right.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly.

SPEAKER_05

And that's just right, and that's the mindset we need to get out of bed with every day.

SPEAKER_07

It's not I that lives, but Christ that lives in me. Yeah. Exactly. It's Christ that lives in me. You gotta get that point across. It's not I that liveth, but Christ that lives in me. It's not I this lives in, but it's Christ that lives in me. Amen. Me, I've been crucified. Now Christ lives in me. Jesus is dead. So Christ lives in me. And then you get that point. You wake up in the morning. Yep. Do you see Christ hurting? Jesus Christ walking around in pain? Do you see Jesus bred over, can't do nothing? Then you start saying, Well, if he lives in me, then this body's got to respond to how Christ lives in his body. I'm Christ's body. I got the power of Christ. That's right. It lives and dwells in me. It flows through my very veins. The blood of Jesus is inside of me. Now I carry Christ wherever I go because He lives in me. That's how you live. That's right. And that's the point people don't carry living holy in an unholy world. You got Christ living in you. Let him represent everywhere you go, just like you're talking about witnessing what you're doing. Do you think Jesus would just let people go by? Now he didn't minister everybody. People came to him, though, but people that you get opportunities every day to minister to people. That's right. You can't conform to what everybody else is doing because they're doing it. You choose to live holy and stand in the gap. And then you know what you also start to do? You need to be bold about it. If you're ashamed of me, I'll be ashamed of you. Amen. Don't be ashamed of the gospel. Don't be ashamed. Stand up and be bold about it and say, you know what? I don't care what other people think. That's the biggest thing that people look at Daniel. He never compromised. That's right. In an evil world that they wanted to worship other gods, he never compromised. He lived holy. And you say, it's hard to live holy in this world. No, they're not. They were worshiping other gods. They were going to kill him for praying, and he still stood holy. Don't tell me it's hard. Daniel actually had it hard if anybody had it hard. I mean, they were literally killing him because he was going to pray three times. They hated him. And he was the only one. It didn't say there was three or four other get thrown in there. He was the only man. The only man. Man, he didn't have a group of brothers like we got in here today.

SPEAKER_04

That's right.

SPEAKER_07

He didn't have Ray he could call on. He didn't have John he could call on, or Daniel he could call on. He didn't have somebody else. Hey, man, I'm really struggling today. He just got in there and prayed with God. That's right. And that's what fires me up.

SPEAKER_06

Don't ask me. If you need something, let us know. We'll be glad to talk to you. We'll be glad to call you and pray for you. That's why I'm glad you went there with that because I saw that hoodie and I've mentioned a couple times. I'm going to get me a shirt that says if you need prayer. Prayer tap my show. Because in Matthew 18, 19, 20, it says, Again, I say unto you that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything, that they shall ask it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven, for there are two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst. That's right. I got I'm gonna go one step deeper. God the Father, God the Son, the God the Holy Ghost. Now plus me, not as four of us in the room. Oh my hey, that's four. It said two or three. I've got four. I've gone above and beyond what the scripture said I needed to do.

SPEAKER_02

One can put a thousand in the flying.

SPEAKER_07

Man, we got a bunch of them I flight in here in the day. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Galatians five, sixteen. This you're talking about walking in the you know, living holy. This I say then, walk in the spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of flesh. Right. Yeah, y you know, you're supposed to walk and live in the spirit. You wanna you wanna walk holy in an unholy world, be full of the Holy Spirit. Be full of be full of that spirit. There's a lot of other spirits you can be full of.

SPEAKER_06

And the next verse says, For the flesh lusteth against the spirit, and a spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary the one to the other. So you cannot do the things that you would you can't live in the world. I'm sorry, this this you can't live in the w in the world and live like the devil and call yourself a Christian.

SPEAKER_05

We gotta get Daniel a putching bag put over there.

SPEAKER_02

That next verse right after that. But if you be led by the Spirit, you're not under the law. That's right.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. And I I had Second Corinthians chapter six. This is a long fourteen through eighteen, but to me the whole thing is worth reading.

SPEAKER_07

It is. It's in the Bible, I think it is too.

SPEAKER_05

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness, and what communion has light with darkness, and what accord has Christ and Bel Bel how you say that Biel or or what part has a believer with an unbeliever, and what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, as God has said, I will dwell in them and walk with them, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you, I will be a father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

SPEAKER_06

When you were reading that, the thought came into my mind the more unholy this world is and the darker this world is, whoo, my light shines brighter the darker it is around me. It does.

SPEAKER_07

Oh my I see and see it further away when uh like if you think about I'm a duck hunter. Yeah. I'm a duck hunter. If you got a light out there in the thing, you can't tell how far they are, but you can see that light out there. Buddy, it don't matter if they're a mile out, I can see that light.

SPEAKER_05

Think about them stars we look at every night in the sky. Most of them light years away. I mean millions and millions of miles, but we can still see that light.

SPEAKER_07

You can still see that light. Uh duck hunting at night. You get out there before daybreak. I can see that light. I'm way, way, way, way out there. I can't tell my I can't tell how close it is because you at nighttime it it messes with you. If you've ever been at night and you see a light and you can't tell exactly your perceptions of that's right. But I can tell there's a light and it shines all around that boat, and then you can see that boat coming because you're a duck hunter. You've been out there and duck hunted over morning. I don't know if you've been out there on big waters and stuff like that, but it's you can tell that. So that light shines, your light shines, and everybody else is gonna see it, but you gotta do that. Well, that jumped all over me when he read that. But you ain't supposed to hide your light. No, that's right, you don't hide it. It's like on duck hunting, don't cut your lights off. Keep your mind.

SPEAKER_06

I was I was coon hunting one night and we got turned around. And the boy with me, oh, this is fixing to get deep really quick, y'all. The boy with me looked and said, I can see a light over yonder. If we walk that way, we'll get out. I said, youngin, that light is a false light. That light is miles away in Keenan'sville. Yeah. But you can see it. And the end times people, the devil's gonna appear as an angel of light. That light appeared to be salvation, but I knew that that light wasn't. I knew that if we tried to go to that light, we was gonna be in a lot worse shape than we were where we were standing at. You're going through the swamp. Exactly, exactly. So I mean it's you know, the discernment of spirit. I had I knew that light is a physical light that I see all the time because it's you know seven, eight miles from the house.

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_06

But still it's the same principle, you know, like the lighthouse. Lighthouse, the lighthouse didn't call the boats in, it warned the boats to stay out.

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_06

And they can see that light from miles out to sea because there were shoals that they would run aground on. You know, so so as the light of the world, we're we're saying, hey, come to us. We we can help you, we can show you the way. But we're also saying, oh, wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, watch out. There's shoals over here. You can run aground over here. You know, there's there's danger. There's there's danger. There's danger. And that's what we're doing right now. There's danger in the world. We've got to live holy in an unholy world.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there it there's a a a lot worse than a ship running around. There's your soul wind and nothing else.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly. What for the prophet of man to gain the whole world but lose his soul?

SPEAKER_05

That's right. We could have titled this one, How to Be a Lighthouse.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly. Exactly. Because that's exactly what it is when you're living holy and you're living set apart.

SPEAKER_02

Well, that's what a Christian is, being a Christian, is to be Christ like and set an example. I mean, because we are his body and we carry the head wherever we go. Like I've said before, if if you take your head and set it on the table, there ain't much help for you. You got about ten seconds and the rest of your body's gonna shut down.

SPEAKER_06

I'm I'm gonna tell you something.

SPEAKER_02

Or for me, you can do nothing.

SPEAKER_06

Me and John Paul were talking, I'm tell I'm gonna tell you this for your knowledge. Me and John Paul were talking when I get done preaching, I'm aghast. Like I put my soul out there. I can imagine. And it's and it's like when the God when God comes on me, we start moving, it's like there is no other feeling. There's not a hide from nothing that you can find that matches it. And then when it's gone, when the church is over, I'm home and I'm just warshaped out. When I come here, it helps refill that tank. Now I'm refilling it at home, but when I come here and the four of us are sitting here, the renewing of my mind, the renewing of my soul, it really amplifies. I'm ready to go outside right now and stand on the roof of your house and breeze to your neighborhood and tell them what's up. You can go next door for it.

SPEAKER_04

Come on.

SPEAKER_06

I sit in the roof of your house. I'm gonna stand on the rock. But it's it it's a blessing. Right, yeah. It's a blessing. It helps build my spirit back up.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

You know, I mean it's we hold each other up.

SPEAKER_05

That's the way I feel about it too, y'all.

SPEAKER_02

That's why it's a lot of the assembling of the brethren. You're s and that's another thing people have got. Well, I can just watch it online.

SPEAKER_07

I can just carry us to through 2001, 2000 I mean, not 2001, 2019, 2020. I mean, we have you've watched the riots pick up, you've watched all this the hell. Go ahead and pit it like it is in plain. That's right. Hell. You've let the devil just come in because you've pitted off. You didn't honor God. Let me say it like this. You didn't honor God. And if you don't honor your parent, you don't honor your family, there's things that's going to come upon you. You need to honor God just like anything in the world. Honor Him. He is I said this yesterday. He is king. He is almighty. He is the one that gives you the very breath in your lungs. Honor him as such. Treat him with the highest honor and love him with all your heart, given everything you got. I I get mad when I see things is not like it should be. Because I I hold a high standard because I understand God and I say, just like you do in this studio.

SPEAKER_02

What would you do for the president?

SPEAKER_07

You hold things, and that's what I enjoy about you so much, and I'll brag on you for a minute, Ray. I like you because you in this system, you hold a high standard to this production of what you're doing in this room. You want the sound right, the lights right. I mean, if you were in here and you noticed there's a new table in here, he's got curtains in here. He holds things to a high standard because he understands I'm not doing it for Ray Bradshaw, I'm doing it unto God, and I want the very best that I'm bringing to the king. And I like that about you because I don't like when people give second best. And I'm not talking about all the time.

SPEAKER_02

If it's good enough for Bill for A.A. Allen, then it's good enough for you.

SPEAKER_07

Because the technology is updated, and I I get I get aggravated by that, but we're getting off the topic.

SPEAKER_06

But technology also can lead people down the right road. Just technology here. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you know, TV, the television license, they were offered to the church before they were offered to anybody else. Same thing with radio. That was offered to the church before. But the church is like, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_06

No, we've never done that before.

SPEAKER_02

And the devil's like, okay, I'll use it. He said, I'll take it.

SPEAKER_05

I will say online church for somebody that's getting curious and wanting to start. It's a good preview. It's a good place to start. It's a good preview. Use it as a preview, but then go find a physical church with a seat you can set your tail in.

SPEAKER_02

But that's like I can watch these meetings that we were in. Oh yeah. I watch him daily. I mean, I watch these guys daily. But there's a difference in setting in the atmosphere with.

SPEAKER_07

There's a different energy. Oh my God. You like I watch, I watch, I tell these guys all the time, I watch two or three sermons a day. But being in that building around hundreds of other believers, totally different. But you could just bubble in there. You were like, I'm ready to go. When you get out of there, you're really good. So talking about, we got to get back there at some point.

SPEAKER_06

Well, I think we're all on the same subject. Yeah, we're all on the same name.

SPEAKER_07

It's just being holy. Exactly. And holiness is giving the best to God. This is a scripture I just wanted to add on to where you add it into Second Corinthians, you know, it talks about the beginning of it. It talks about the sting of death is sin, and the strength, the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord in Jesus Christ. How you live holy is through the victory of Jesus Christ, but I'm gonna give you to the next scripture in verse. This is first Corinthians 16, so y'all are looking it up. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the works of the Lord, knowing that your labor's not in vain in the Lord. Be steadfast, unmovable, when everything else around you is unholy, you can still the Bible clearly tells me in 1 Corinthians 16 that there is sin, but thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord in Jesus Christ. So I hey I got the victory. Then then the next part tells me that I can be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding. That means when the world's going crazy, I'm abounding in the holiness, I'm abounding in it, and then the Lord that my labor is not in vain. Everything I'm doing is not in vain. So, you know, you got I hear people all the time, Well, there's no hope for this. Well, why don't you hope? Yeah, look, well, why don't you read this? Why don't you read this scripture? I can tell I'll give you another one. I could give you hundreds of them, but I mean that's just it really, really aggravates me. You know, how people say, Well, how can I be holy in this unholy world? Well, why don't you read Ephesians six verses ten through sixteen? And it says, Being pit on, finally be strong in the Lord, in his power, in his might, pitting on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against arguments, rules of darkness, and age. So you get to realizing I gotta have the whole armor of God on, and I can stand up in an unholy world. If it wants to be unholy, I can be holy in the middle of it, and I'm a light, as we've said, I can shine out. And guess what? Everybody else, when they see what's inside of me, it brings forth change in other people. You don't realize the Jesus that's on the inside of you, he says in that scripture you were talking about earlier, my cup overflows. In Psalms 23.

SPEAKER_06

When my cup is a vessel in the Bible, says we're a vessel, man.

SPEAKER_07

And you overflow. And when something overflows, if we got a cup on this beautiful table and it overflows, everything's fixing to start getting wet. This table's gonna get wet, this carpet's gonna get wet. And I just think about it like this. When I'm a cup and I get around everybody else, you're fixing to get overflows fixing to come out of me and go into you. That's right. You better not get too close. It's called bread. Yeah. You get close to people and you don't realize the what you have that's on you is contagious. The anointing is a contagious. The spirit of God is contagious. When you get around somebody that's got the anointing and they got the things, it's contagious. It will jump on you just like a cold's contagious, the power of God's contagious. Right. Get around some people that ain't living, that's not living unholy. Get around some guys like I've got around me right now that's living holy, and it'll jump on them, it'll jump on everybody else around you, and it has no choice. Just like if you walked in with um what's the disease? You got one of them that you carry in your house like a flu. The flu, yeah. You come in the house with a flu, the rest of the house expects to get the flu. Exactly. Well, when you walk in with holiness in the house, you ought to have this mindset. Hey, buddy, you don't know what's on me. It's fixing to jump on this whole house. I mean, we say this a hundred times.

SPEAKER_05

We've said it a hundred times over here, and John mentioned it a while ago. If you want to be a drug addict, then you go hang out with drug addicts. But you can pick some people around you. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

That's fixing to change the world. That's right.

SPEAKER_06

I want to be like the ocean.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

If you go jump into ocean, the ocean don't get Ray. That's right. Ray gets the ocean.

SPEAKER_04

Yep.

SPEAKER_06

When you come to me, I want you to get the touch. I want you to get the feeling. I want you to get knowledge and understanding. I want you to know. I want I want to be the ocean.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. That's why that's why I like that saying, stay salty, my friends. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

There you go.

SPEAKER_05

You know, it comes from Matthew 5. There you go, yep. Unless you're going to be able to do that. You're the light of the world. Right. You're the light of the world. You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? And these are words in red now. Yeah. And my saying is the words in red better stick in your head. That's right. It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by man. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden, nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly. And what does salt do?

SPEAKER_07

Preserve. Preserve. Preserve. Piss up meat, makes some good ham biscuits preserves, flavors. And it changes things. Changes the very course of meat. Like when you when it gets in, it changes it very much. It cures it out. It cures it. There you go. Um, when the church starts looking like the world, then there's a lot of churches. I think we were we were look we were me and a friend was talking yesterday, and he was like, they were asking on this community what ch churches in the New Bern area and are LGBTQ plus E Z Y are friendly. And he's like, I thought, you know, they were gonna get on there and say, uh, that's not right. He said there was 300 responses telling about these churches that support that. I'm not looking to you.

SPEAKER_05

I see that all the time because I follow a group here for where I'm at in Wilmington, like Wilmington area this where that what's happening in Wilmington. People on there asking that all the time. And there's people on there saying, Go to this church, go to that church, go to this church, where come to our church.

SPEAKER_07

I do too. I put you know what I post up there. I I tell them there's a good one. They got a great leader. It's called Hell. Go join it. That's where you're because you're headed here really fast. That's where you head to the headed to hell. Because there's it they sit there and say, We're not to be conformed to the world. No, no. We're not conforming to that. Transformation. And you see, a light is supposed to lead people out.

SPEAKER_04

That's right.

SPEAKER_07

It's to lead people out. Like if we get lost in the woods, you're gonna holler for me and shine a light in the direction you hear me, that's gonna lead me out. If I got a light, we've all deer hunted, walked through the woods. Give me a light so I can lead myself out. That's what we're called. We're never intended. People, God's people were never intended to hide our faith. No. And that's what they've done, churches has done. I've seen it, and they're hiding their faith, and they're just, oh, everybody's loved, everybody's accepted. Well, everybody's accepted into hell. I mean, I can tell you that. I'm I'm blunt. We've done a podcast about that, don't you? You can get a free ticket there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, express pass to it if you want to. Um, and it might not help some of your viewers, but I'm telling you the truth is you won't you go into that mess, you know, God will save you. He will turn your life around. I've seen I've heard many testimonies just this past week about it. You know, that they were giving up there into things 'cause they were like faith for the impossible.

SPEAKER_02

And I've heard testimonies about it, but if you've got to make a decision to turn from that, so you know Colossians three talks about set your affections on things above, not on things of the earth. There you go. Where your where a man's treasure is, there will his heart be also to build your treasure. Either the abundance of the heart, the mouth speak. What the heart determines as the heart goes, so goes your life.

SPEAKER_06

And we're supposed to guard our heart in Proverbs 4, 14 and 15, it says, Enter not into the path of the wicked and go not into the way of evil men, avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. Now, why is that important? What are the gates that that we use for our mortal body? Your eyes are gates. Your eye gate, your ears are gate, your mind's a gate, your heart. So so you know, we were talking about earlier, if you rewind it back and listen to the beginning of the podcast, what informs you forms you. So if you're sitting there watching TV and you're watching some worldly movie and your kids are in there watching it with you, oh Lord. And now five years later your kid comes to you and says something that you can't believe that your kid would say, Well, rewind back five years and remember what you were looking at on TV and the filth you put in their minds. I firmly believe the stuff going on now was started twenty, thirty years ago. Oh, yeah, it was. And because it was allowed in your house.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I I can go on that one for a while because all you gotta do is look at what happened. They told you that mama and daddy would be better if mama was working. Yep. And send your kid to a daycare and to school for so many hours a day, mm-hmm, and they teach you kid all of this other garbage and they're teaching them a worldly system. You take 'em to church, the average uh household, I think it's like one and a half times a month goes to church. Well, you you send them to forty plus hours of garbage and then you give them an hour and a half, a month and maybe a month of of the gospel, and you expect a different result. And and that's God's design was never a forty hour work week. No. It was it was to multiply. It was to be fruitful and multiply. Man came up with that. Be fruitful and multiply was God's plan.

SPEAKER_07

I and you know, they they have they have pushed into a way of teaching our kids, you know, you're talking about what they watch. Scary, building fear, building I well knows my opinion.

SPEAKER_02

One of the guys we were listening to the other day at that thing, one of his comments was they said that somebody was there like, Well, you need to do this so you can send your kid here so they can learn this. He said, I'd rather send them to a lithium mine to mine for lithium at twelve than to do that.

SPEAKER_06

So you have to build fear. Yeah. How did how did the government control the United States of America in twenty nineteen? Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Fear with fear.

SPEAKER_06

That fear couldn't have started in twenty nineteen if it hadn't started teaching. People had to be scared 30 years ago.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, they all the shows they put on there is is all based on fear. Even adult films now. Like non-adult. Wait a minute, man. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. We need to have a dog jump on. I was saying like shows for grown people shows. Let's change that. So man, I led myself down that one good. I opened the door. All right. Moving right along in the message of the day. But even that, they show these world takeovers and they show people being oppressed. I can't watch that stuff. I I cannot stand to seeing anything. It's like you said, you know, don't put anything on there. But they started this stuff 10, 15 years ago about um the mocking jay, I don't even know what it is, whatever that thing is, that had the hunger hanger. Showing things like that, showing things of government taking over, showing all this fear stuff. And now it's just easy for the government to come in and say, This is what you're gonna do. No, we're living a land of the free here in America, and you're not gonna take our rights away. Well, they keep planting them seeds, man. That's what they're trying to do.

SPEAKER_02

Well, they want you to believe that America's a terrible place.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

No. To go to a third world country. If they do, they're coming back. They're like Louisie O'Donnell, she's on her way back. I wish they'd keep her. Yeah, they'd say.

SPEAKER_05

I saw somebody on Facebook say that. It was yesterday I was reading through Facebook, somebody said, if all then people out there that hate America leave so bad, why are you still here? Why you get on here and trash talk a country? Because they want our freedom.

SPEAKER_03

Because they're right.

SPEAKER_05

And these are like natural born citizens. I mean, we have some of the worst when it comes to that.

SPEAKER_07

Because they've taught us in the schoolhouses to hate America, that we've oppressed a man, we've oppressed everybody, we've done so many wrongs by everybody.

SPEAKER_06

And you realize the devil wants to be like Jesus. The reason the devil was casted out of heaven was because he wanted to be like Jesus and he wanted to be worshipped like Jesus. Follow me. In the Bible, Jesus tells us three things. The devil knows the scripture as well as any man that walks on earth. And when God said to plant your seeds, the devil read that too. He plants his seeds.

SPEAKER_04

That's right.

SPEAKER_06

Now here now what now we're fixing. We're fixing to run some. So are we not planting our seeds enough that our people are growing? We're not raising up a a generation that's not afraid, we're not bold, and militant with our faith, or are we letting the devil plant his seeds and tend to his garden and raise his demonic spirits and evil forces?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. We gotta start Well, that's what's happening now, because I mean you can look at the Muslims, they're outbreeding Christians like seven to one. I mean, that's n that's facts you can look up on the internet. I mean, we're we're not being fruitful and multiplying and spreading that word and planting them seeds.

SPEAKER_02

Well, most Christians are happy with just going to church and if they if they make their they've got the mentality if I get to heaven, I've done my job. Heaven Right.

SPEAKER_05

That's that's not show me that in the Bible. We've done a podcast on that one that was called to do more.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. But there's a there's an old song that says, There's something better than going to heaven, it's taking someone else with you. We should want to take others with us. That's right. And you know, I don't I don't want to go to heaven and be in a closet by myself.

SPEAKER_07

No. You got to be able to be that witness in this it just gets it makes me so mad. Yeah. It does. I get angry because I see so many people just come to church out of religion. And I'm like, why religiosity. Religiosity. Well, I went to church. I went to church. I'll go to church every Sunday, you know what the devil goes to church every Sunday too. Yeah, well what but here's the thing, people don't realize what church was built built for was to equip you. You come in, you hear a word. It tells us in the gospel to come and get equipped. Well, if you get equipped, you take it out, back with you, and go to work.

SPEAKER_04

That's right.

SPEAKER_06

And um and when it says put on the whole armor of God, who put on armor? Anybody? Who puts on armor?

SPEAKER_07

That's right. Somebody going to battle.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly, a warrior. He didn't tell us to put on the whole armor to God to sit in church and listen to the script.

SPEAKER_07

Oh yeah. He didn't say hold out with a bucket.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly.

SPEAKER_07

You see, that's the thing. You got people that, you know, what can my church do for me? Yeah, what can my church do for me? Not what I can do for my church.

SPEAKER_06

We sing a song in church and it says it's your breath in our lungs. So we pour out our praise, right? And I I never sing it that way. It's your breath in my lungs. It's your breath in my lungs. I pour out my praise. That's right. But everybody comes in, they sit down, and I it it spoke to me the first time we sung the song in the church. And I was looking at it, I was going, and everybody in the whole church, and I'm not down on anybody in the church, don't get mad at me. Everybody in the whole church is singing the words they see on the screen. And I'm over there, it's your breath. I know it's in my lungs. And I'm like, I'm just saying my church.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I mean, stuff like that though, even when it comes to music and Christian music that we think should be what we want to listen to. I mean, you got to be careful of all that stuff. Yeah. Because even just the way you read it.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Because like you just said, it it reads one way, but that's not you should be singing it the way you're saying it.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, it is his breath in our lungs. That's right. But I'm not singing to Ray and John. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

And that's why they put all that playing all that stuff on TV, our kids and everybody's watching. Exactly. I mean, they're just feeding their minds with that evil stuff, and that's what they go off of.

SPEAKER_07

Exactly. If you're a parent, you better be watching and paying attention to what your children's listening to and watching and and put a safeguard over it. You know, this is called being living holy. They might not like it in the time, and it doesn't matter if they like it. I mean, you're gonna hate it mighty bad if you make it to heaven and they don't. So why don't you why don't you get something to do about it? I mean I pit a kid.

SPEAKER_02

You have a code to your internet.

SPEAKER_07

I have a code to my internet. You can't get it. I got what can be on my TVs and what can't be on my TVs. I don't let my kids even I'm gonna go ahead and step on them. Even Disney. I don't let there's no Disney in my house. There's no Netflix in my house. There's none of that junk in there because if you support that garbage But if you support that garbage, I was about to say something else. But if you support that garbage, yeah. Yeah. If you support it, then you know, I don't. I'm very gard about my family because I don't like I'm not gonna let that little seed be planted in my little six-year-old's mind. That's right. And let him think it's all right. I don't let people talk like that around him. If you start talking wrong, me and my boys out. Me and my little girl's out. You've gotta do it. They're too young, they don't know how to do it yet. You have to be a parent and raise them up wholly before God because your duty and responsibility is to raise up your children into God. And I've got a responsibility.

SPEAKER_02

It's not the government's ammunition of God.

SPEAKER_07

It's not the government's job, it's not Ray's job, it's not Daniel's job, it's my job as a parent. It's mine to take care of these kids to make sure that they live a holy life unto God that I can give them to them until they turn old enough to leave my home. This is my job. So you need to take that responsibility as a parent.

SPEAKER_02

And if you say my kid don't listen to me, well, who pays the bills? Exactly. That's the truth. Who buys the groceries?

SPEAKER_06

Who pays the internet bills so they can watch that stuff? Cut it off. Cut it off.

SPEAKER_05

We're called to avoid all that sin and pursue what God wants.

SPEAKER_07

Yes, exactly right. What John said earlier.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Hate what God hates, love what God loves, and live by that standard. It's pretty simple. God makes it pretty simple.

SPEAKER_02

And I can tell you, if you get to the point that you love what God loves and you hate what God hates, you'll find out that things change in your life quick.

SPEAKER_03

That's right.

SPEAKER_02

You'll get to things you've been believing for. You you things will just start happening because you are in line with God.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. When you get to a point, you know, praying for people, when you get to a point, you know, sometimes you'll see me when I'm ministering to people, I get I get m angry because I hate sickness. You can never operate in something that you don't you tolerate. If you tolerate sickness, then you're just, oh, it's okay. I get you can see me. I do it's like blood pumps to my face because I hate sickness. I hate cancer. I hate things that make people sick, and I get mad. I get mad at the sickness, not at the person. But I cannot stand sickness. I can't stand the pain. I can't stand that. So I get angry at it. I'm like, no, you're not gonna do this here in my place. Because I think about it like a thief. I'm not gonna come in if somebody's stealing something from one of my friends. If I go over there to dad's house and they're stealing stuff at his house, hey, it's all right. You need some help loading it up? No, I'm gonna I'm gonna come out there with everything I got. I'm gonna run him off of his house and say, nah, sir, buddy, you're at the wrong man's house. He might not be able to take it out right now, but I'm here. You gotta get it. And I'm gonna take care of it today. That's right.

SPEAKER_06

And he's gonna operate in the authority that I would have if I was there.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, because I'm gonna tear him up.

SPEAKER_06

That's the same thing you gotta do. You gotta podcast.

SPEAKER_07

You have to operate in a level of taking, like you're saying, hate sin, hate it. God hates it, you gotta hate it. You will tolerate it until you hate it. You wanna see the anointing flow, you want to see the movement of God, you've got to come to a place that you hate sin, you hate, you hate sickness, you hate it, you get you live in a holy life because you stand for what God stands on.

SPEAKER_02

You set yourself to a higher standard.

SPEAKER_07

That's right. You got heated seats on one, they're getting hot. You get pummed up over there, buddy.

SPEAKER_02

Right, you picked one that pummed up for a couple hours on when you're gonna be able to do that. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So I was the sermon I thought I was gonna preach Wednesday night was the devil's counterfeit. Yeah. And one of my illustrations was when we go fishing, we use a lure. Right. The lure is the lure is painted, it looks like a fish. It's shaped to look like a fish. The closer it looks like a fish, the better it works. And when the fish goes to eat his bait, it's too late. There's a hook. You know, so uh everybody that knows me knows I love Mount Erie and I love the Andy Griffith's show, I always have. I like, I think it was good wholesome TV. Well, and that episode where the hobo asked Andy, why why don't you let that boy learn for herself? He said, Because time he grinds grabs hold of that bright, shiny thing and realizes there's a hook in it, it's too late. Like he just said, when people start talking and acting ugly around your kids, you gotta take them away. Don't let them see that bright, shiny object and think that that's okay.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, that was gonna well. That was a guy that played J had played that whole part.

SPEAKER_07

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

This is I can't think of his name off the top of my head.

SPEAKER_07

When we were talking about that message he was building, I used this example as the ducks decoys. Mm-hmm. Yeah. We throw them out there. Yep. We quacked whack just like a duck. We call them in. Mm-hmm. That's right. And we assimilate, man, we pull them strings. Yeah. We got things out there that's flapping, flapping. We make it look as real as possible. Make it look like a party. Yeah, there's look at all these ducks. We got some mallards over here, we got some Ouijaans over here, we got them all spread out. This is a party. Come join us. That's right. And then at the last second, when they open up their wings, we all jump up. Oh boy. Cut them. Cut them down. And then you you're done. It's too late. It's too late. So that's why there's a reason to live holy because before long, it's too late. Exactly. And we've already cut you down because you didn't realize you prayed for discernment.

SPEAKER_05

Exactly. So you can see if it's a decoy or not.

SPEAKER_06

And I can tell you when I go fishing, I ain't like the guys you see on TV. Yeah. When they hook their fish and that fish realizes just a hook, they pick him up, take a picture and chunk him back in. I chunk him back in too, but in hot grease. You're gonna go into grease.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yes, sir.

SPEAKER_07

There ain't no bringing that duck back to life after the biggest. I tell my kids all time.

SPEAKER_05

They go down there fishing. They go, yeah, did you catch anything? Yeah, we got two or three. I'm like, Where are they? Where are they at? When we threw them back.

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_01

That's a waste of time.

SPEAKER_07

Well, where are they? Pinfish? They ain't no good eat. What kind of fish was it? Pinfish.

SPEAKER_05

A little bit bony. They're bony, but it tastes like a spot.

SPEAKER_06

But that's what we're trying to say. I mean, this this living holy is is of the utmost importance.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, cry them hard enough and that backbone tastes like a tail.

SPEAKER_06

Because what we're getting at here is your children, your family, your neighbors, your neighborhood, your region, town. I'm going Derrick, I'm here. Your county, your region, your state, it all has implications. Like, you know, if you had a pool of water sitting here and you threw a rock, when that rock hits that water, ripples, and it affects that whole body of water. That's how we should be. We should affect the whole area. But the difference with us is if I affect John when I throw my rock in the water. Now John's got a rock. John throws his rock and he affects the water a little bit further away. Now he's going to affect Ray. Ray throws his rock and it affects a little further away. It hits John Paul. John Paul throws his rock, hits further away. We can build this thing until we go all the way across the whole country and they say, Well, we get out of the United States. Oh, we're not stopping there. That's right. I'm using I'm using a water example. What is this country surrounded by except for Canada? I mean, there's water everywhere. I want to ripple all the way across.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. That's right. And he only struck it three times. Three times. Three times. Your stone, you shouldn't just throw it one time and affect ripples one time. That's right. You should keep banging them arrows on the ground. Keep throwing them rocks. Keep causing ripples. Exactly. Keep causing ripples. Exactly. Don't stop causing ripples. When you stop causing ripples, you become complacent. And then you're in danger of going to hell.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. I mean, we could you we could use this podcast like that example there. I mean, because I started it telling my testimony. Mm-hmm. I put like four videos out, and now it's turned into this. Every week.

SPEAKER_06

Every week. The first time I saw it, I said, I gotta go to Wilmington. The first time I saw and it took me 17 years, it feels like before I finally made it. But the first one I saw.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

But uh, you know, I just I was like, I need to go up there. This is this is a good thing.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I hope it is.

SPEAKER_07

I called it. I called it I know it is because we're in it. I wouldn't be in a bad thing. No definitely I wouldn't be in it, you wouldn't catch me in it. But you know, that's the same thing when I seen you doing it, it brought so much joy because you were my friend before. And then it just said he was talking about the prophet, and that's in 2 Kings 13, 14, 14, through that, whereas it started 17, and he said, Open the window, and he opened, and Elijah said, Shoot, and he shot, and he said that and the air of the Lord deliverance, the air delivered since from sear. So every arrow that he sent out was to deliver an area that was coming against them. And he said, Shoot again. And then he took the errors, so he took them and he shot the errors. But here's the thing. And the man of God was angry with him. He said, You should have struck the ground five or six times. For then, if you would have struck the ground five or six times, Syria would have been destroyed and you would have never had to deal with them again. So when you're throwing out your rocks, don't just throw it out once or twice. Keep throwing that thing out there. Keep carrying the word of God. Live a holy life. It's easy. It's not people, well, it's hard out here in this world. Well, is it hard? Because you've uh been in this. Because you love the world. Oh, yeah. You want to say you want to get as close as you can. You haven't read this Bible right now.

SPEAKER_05

I'm gonna say it's hard to you because you're weak.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, strong, you need to be a strong man, a strong woman. That's right. You do. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I'm fixing to step on somebody's step on them. You if you wanted a daggone new F-150 bad enough, you do whatever it takes to get it. I got it.

SPEAKER_06

Well, I mean, I I'm sure I just bought one. In Colossians 3, verses 1 and to 3, it says, if ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, above, which Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not all things on the earth, for ye are dead and your life is here with Christ. The world's temporary. Heaven's eternal. Here's where I'm gonna step on toes. Holiness becomes easier when eternity becomes more valuable than your temporary pleasure. When your soul becomes more valuable. Oh no, but it's it's okay. No, it's not. It is not okay.

SPEAKER_07

It's not. No.

SPEAKER_06

No.

SPEAKER_07

It's not okay to to to tolerate the sin. It's not okay to tolerate what God is called to be holy. It's not okay to tolerate it. You've got to stand up against it. You know, I wouldn't let this we've said it, junk in houses, junk around us, at work, everywhere you go. You'll see me to be the first one out of the way when stuff like that starts fluttering up. I'm not gonna be it up because you have to make that decision.

SPEAKER_06

I bet we got the holiest dogs in the United States.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

If you think about it, too, if you go, if you get around somebody, your house is all cluttered, you're miserable people.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

But when they clean that clutter up, those are a totally different person.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, and we're the same way with our sins and following Christ. Mm-hmm. I mean, we have to declutter our mind of these worldly things. The furniture of your mind.

SPEAKER_07

That's right. Preaching. You got furniture in your mind. Yeah. Mm-hmm. You gotta get when you're paying you can't put so much in this room right here. That's right. Sometimes you gotta take stuff out that door and get rid of it. And get rid of some of the furniture. Don't go put it somewhere else and hold on to it. Yeah, you gotta get rid of some of this stuff out of this room. That's right. Because when you put this bigger table in here, well, the old chairs won't fit. I gotta make room in the same thing in your mind. Yeah. You gotta get some stuff out of the room.

SPEAKER_05

Yep.

SPEAKER_04

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Absolutely right. I just like me with my testimony. I mean, I I had to learn to quit wanting all this stupid mess. Mm-hmm that weren't to get me anywhere and get my mind set my mind back where it needed to be set.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

And you know, I'm still working on it, like we all are. Yeah. But it's a lot easier. Mm-hmm. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

I can look at something now on the internet or an ad on internet and go, well, I like that. Nope, keep it on go with it. I don't need that.

SPEAKER_06

The more you walk with Christ, the easier it is to reject sin.

SPEAKER_07

Yep. Yep. And the things that you don't that you don't really need. Make no friendship with an angry man and his furious men, do not go lest you learn his ways. And it sets a snare for your soul. That's Proverbs. We've just been talking about this, and I was looking for the scriptures. Proverbs 22 verses 24 and 5. It tells you right here, in case you were just wondering if we're telling you not to hang around people that are bad.

SPEAKER_06

We are. We are. It's exactly.

SPEAKER_07

Because it's the Bible. Because I like everything in this podcast. I want to back it up with a scripture and tell you make no friendship with an angry man and with his furious man. Do not go lest it turns you away and it sets a snare for your soul to carry you away because that's unholy. Because when you I was just telling you while ago, you don't see me hanging around people like that.

SPEAKER_02

He who sits in the council of the fool. Yep. There you go. That's another one. He who sets in the council of the wise shall be wise. He who sits in the council of fools shall be a few.

SPEAKER_05

I think that's in the same situation. But what John Paul's saying, he's not you know, I'm not saying go sit in a den of thieves and hang out there. But if you in if you introduce yourself and try to tell them about Jesus Christ, then you've done your part. But don't you know, but if they're not gonna change, I mean, just like Jesus told his disciples, if you know they don't want to hear what you gotta say, knock the dust off your cloak and move on.

SPEAKER_07

Keep on rolling, bro. I I minister to people all the time and they don't want to hear out what I got to say. And that doesn't matter if you don't want to hear what I got to say. Right. I'm gonna tell you either way. Yeah. You know, you might not heed and listen to me, but I'm gonna tell you what I got to say, and it's gonna be the Bible. And then look, if you if you don't listen to it, I don't get upset and go home and cry, well, they didn't listen. I I can't help that. I did my job and moving on.

SPEAKER_05

Well, it's just like we've talked before, it's not our job to change your hearts and change their minds. That's right. It's our job to tell them about Jesus and let him do the rest of it. That's right.

SPEAKER_07

That's all you gotta do. You can live holy in an unholy world. I guarantee you makes the decision to do it. Mm-hmm. Psalms one one.

SPEAKER_06

Yep. Go with it. Says, Blessed is the man that walketh not in the council of the ungodly.

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_06

So don't go around that madman lest you learn his ways, because blessed is the man who walketh not in the council of the ungodly nor Standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the city of the scornful. His delight is in the law of the Lord and his law. Hawaii, what's he doing? His law, he meditates day and night.

SPEAKER_07

I was going there.

SPEAKER_06

You had it. Now I'm going to read the next verse just because Go for it. I am the tree planted by the rivers of living water. I am bringing forth my fruit in my season. That's right. Everything I touch is going to prosper. But not because of me, not because of Daniel. Because I'm doing what he's telling me to do. If he told me to go outside, I tell people this all the time. You look at me, you know I can't do it. But if God said go do a backflip, I'd go do one. And I would do it because he's going to let me do it.

SPEAKER_07

You gotta he's gonna set things in you to do.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_07

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly. It's not saying that you can't go be a witness to people. But you don't sit there and and and listen to them and take their advice.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, you don't take their advice.

SPEAKER_02

You don't have to go to the bar to witness to an alcoholic. That's right.

SPEAKER_05

No, you don't have to go to the almost almost and who you're getting ready to come up against.

SPEAKER_06

So I I was listening to a sermon and the preacher said they had a uh concert pianist come in and said she played beautifully. She got a job at a bar nightclub or something. Yeah. And she tried to get to church to say it was okay because it was her calling to play in that bar. He said, What did y'all what did you say he told me to do a while ago? Go down there. He said, That's not gonna fly in our church.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

That's not what we believe. But I'm sure the church down the road will if that's where you want to go. Yeah, I'm sure that's what I'm saying. He said, Oh, by the way, she's not in church here anymore. Because she she would rather have the things of the world. Yep. That's right. So she left so she could continue doing what she wanted to do.

SPEAKER_04

Yep.

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm. I got Titus two, eleven through fourteen here. Talking about for the for the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lust we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. That's why this Bible continues, even though this Bible is over two thousand years old, the writings in it are two thousand years old, is still true to the day.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

I mean it says right there, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for himself his own special people, zealous for good works.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, grace and just like I said a while ago, grace empowers us for holy living, mm-hmm and it's not the permission to continue living in sin.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_05

So if you approach somebody like we just got through talking about, you need to know who you're approaching, what sin they're in. I mean it's just like what the duck and dive. Mm-hmm. You go in there and you punch and then you move back. There you go. And you don't you don't stand there and just keep talking on them. Yeah, you don't wait for them to hit you back. You gotta go in there and give them that word, and then you gotta step back and get back in your corner and watch them and see what they do. Yeah. How how do they react to that word? Yeah, how they react, then if they took it kindly, then you go back and give them a little bit more. But then if they start trying to preach their mess on you, then you need to get away from there and don't go back.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Because if God caught her to sin over 2,000 years ago. That's right. It's a sin now. Exactly. Because he's not a man that he should lie.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. And that's why it is not the way this world is right now. I mean, people want to do that love is love thing. And you know, it's that's like you said, if it's a sin then it's a sin there. Ain't nothing changing.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, it says I change not. And I can tell you, we really, we really, really need to be pushing hard. I see the people in the world longing. Yeah, they're hungry. They're the hunger's there. The problem is, just like that illustration with the fish.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

When the fish are hungry and they're chewing, they'll buy anything, even if it's not really.

SPEAKER_07

Like we were looking at that ba we were looking at that bass in your pond yesterday. Yeah. And I was watching him feed, and he was running them minnows up in that corner, and I said, I could catch him. Yeah. Because I can see that because he's hungry.

SPEAKER_05

My brother-in-law and myself have been fishing, and and the fish get so hungry, and we've run out of crickets and start putting blades of grass on there as soon as it hits the water butter to biting it.

SPEAKER_07

That's the world right now. They're hungry for something. And that's the reason that we're trying to inspire people listening. Exactly. We want you. Yeah, we're inspiring you that's watching to go and do more because there's a hunger. There's only four of us in this room, and we're giving it all we can got. But if you'll join up with us and join up and do what we're doing. And throw your rocks in the water and go out and go catch fish for Jesus, you can do it. Because there's a hunger right now. There's a hunger right now. Yeah. There's a hunger right now. Just go out and do it. You don't have to say, well, what if they reject me? You don't, they're not rejecting people right now. I I'm having the easiest time in my ministry right now witnessing to people because there's a hunger. I mean, while things is moving and the wind is shifting and the wind's in your back, baby, let the cells up and go with it.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Give it all she's got. I mean, don't I found it when you're talking to somebody in public, you'll look around and I'm just talking to Ray, and there'll be 10 people standing around wanting to hear what you're saying.

SPEAKER_07

That's the same thing with young people right now. I start talking to one, and the next thing I know, that one's going and telling another one because they found out their friend's hungry, and then I've got several phone calls coming in. Will you minister to me and talk to me? Because there's a hunger right now for the word of God, even in our youth. And I'm like, man, it's a good time to be in the Lord.

SPEAKER_06

It's a good time. The fields are widened to harvest.

SPEAKER_07

And it's a good time.

SPEAKER_05

I love to see anybody give their heart to the Lord, but when a young person does it, I mean it just that makes it giving me chill by thinking about it.

SPEAKER_06

And it's a good time, man. You need to get baptized.

SPEAKER_05

And they get baptized. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. They did. They did get baptized. Yeah. Unless their parents don't let them. That's insane. Don't keep trying to push me now.

SPEAKER_06

But you know, there's there's a there's a real there's a real hunger. There is. And and I lay at wake at night and I can I can f I can like physically feel that I need to be doing something. Yeah. Versus going to bed and going to sleep. I need to get up and study so I'll have the right word to speak to somebody tomorrow when I see them, or I need to I need to pray for somebody. I don't need to go to sleep. It's uh it's a real hunger. I mean, and you can feel it. I mean if if you start reading and start studying, get in touch with your soul and your spirit, and you get in touch with God where you should be, you'll feel it too.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Yeah, I gotta read Philippians two, fourteen through sixteen. Give it to us. Do all things without complaining and disputing. I know we don't become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Man, I mean that's a good testimony right there.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, that's the way we all should be. Mm-hmm. You know, I've been to funerals and they said, you know, this man, this woman was this, that, or the other. When they throw dirt in my face, I don't somebody say that was a mighty man of God. He led thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of people to Christ. But his influence will be felt for generations to come. So even after my death, it still helps further the kingdom of God. And here's the problem people forget that we're trying to further the kingdom of God and they try to further the kingdom of insert the church's name here.

SPEAKER_05

Oh God. Right.

SPEAKER_06

We all work. If you come to work for me at a public job, we all work for whoever is paying us. That's right. Right? It doesn't mean that you work on this segment, you work this. No, we work together.

SPEAKER_07

That's right.

SPEAKER_06

We're all f trying to feather the kingdom of heaven.

SPEAKER_07

That's it, building his kingdom. That's right.

SPEAKER_06

And if you break kingdom down, it's the king's domain. That's right. Who is the king? The king of kings and lord of lords. That's right.

SPEAKER_05

That's right. Man, that's been a good podcast.

SPEAKER_06

It has. Well, this this one, like John said a while ago, we can keep going too. I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told them the other night. I said, I'm not done preaching, I'm just gonna stop because you folks need to go home and go to bed now. Because I promise you, when I get fired up and God starts talking and I start hearing it and I and I'm doing my almost I'm doing my thing, but I'm doing God's thing.

SPEAKER_03

That's right. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I can just go and go and go, and I start seeing people, they start looking at their watch. Start, but I don't care. But after I'm looking at our watch about 30 or 45 minutes, I I might need because I cause because then I'm not getting anything into most people.

SPEAKER_05

Right. I mean, it's just like smoking meat and you know that as I do. You mean after a couple of hours. That's all the smoke it's gonna take. You've got smoke in there now, you just need to crank the heat to it. Mm-hmm. You keep telling you turn it up now. Right. And you know, and that's right. So, I mean, you know, after 30 minutes, if you start seeing them people nodding off and you think they're full of smoke, you got to crank the heat up. Heard, understood. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

That's right. Give it to them harder. I'm gonna take that as the word. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Let's go to them harder. Crank the heat up.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly. Become more militant, more bold. That's right.

SPEAKER_03

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, man. I enjoyed this, guys. Yeah. We can go. I haven't even covered all my scriptures. I hadn't either, but you know what? That's fine. I think we got the point across. Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. We didn't. There's something wrong.

SPEAKER_05

If y'all didn't get anything out of get out of this, that every one of us are called to be a vessel. Mm-hmm. They carried the the word of Christ out to the world. A holy vessel. A holy vessel. Mm-hmm. Set apart. That's right. Set yourself apart from the world. Don't be as of the world, but be like Christ.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

And it'll it will change your life from good. Sure has us. It definitely has mine. I was like, I like it when people say, Well, I remember it used to be, you know what? I did, didn't I?

SPEAKER_06

But look at me now. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly.

SPEAKER_05

Look at me now. I I used to be that darkness and that dull light out there, but look at me now.

SPEAKER_06

Exactly.

SPEAKER_05

Look at me now. Like Paul's chrome on the car.

SPEAKER_06

That's right. That's right.

SPEAKER_05

SPEAKER_05

Hold on a minute.

SPEAKER_06

You're good.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I had it saved on my notes here, and now I can't find where to do it. What, man?

SPEAKER_07

We got it wrote down though.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, here we go, here we go, here we go. I found it.

SPEAKER_07

Sorry about it. It's all right.

SPEAKER_05

Acts one verses four through five. And being assembled together with them, he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which he said, You have heard from me, for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. That's your key right there.

SPEAKER_02

That's right. Yeah, that's amenable. That's the key to living holiness.

SPEAKER_06

Not at the end when you're ready to close.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, but we got Avenue. You gotta have some good stuff explosion too, though.

SPEAKER_05

Well that being said, oh God bless y'all. Y'all have a great week. Remember, Jesus loves you, and so do we.

SPEAKER_07

Father God, we thank you today for us living holy, acceptable unto you. Lord, I thank you for our viewers. Lord, that you help them understand out of this podcast that they can live holy in an unholy world. Lord, and we thank you for transforming this world. Lord, we thank you for saving. Like you said, go out into all the world and preach the gospel. We thank you for saving the nations. We thank you for saving this world. We thank you for saving us. And Lord, we give you all the glory and honor forever. Amen.
