Trait Tier Bans And Goalie Exceptions

I mean I we obviously are think that our teams are gonna do better than other teams, but you know, that's it's just nothing has been concrete. We don't know what's what, who's playing where, what's availability like, so still fresh.

Probably like most people, I think, got fed up with 26 and are slowly starting to kind of lean away from the game. It seems like all the leagues have basically banned all tier three traits now, so that I got my beef with that. Alright, we'll get to that in a second. But yeah, it seems like just a heads up for everybody, all tier three traits are banned in addition to all the previously banned ones, and I think goalies are excluded from that. I might be wrong.

Yeah, I mean, we pound for pound had one of the best teams that was just all kind of knew each other, all had chemistry with, and then we just we beat teams that had uh like LG players, and we just kept chucking on and we won a tight game seven, which was crazy.

It's always crazy whenever it goes to game seven, but yeah. I think saying you're beating LG players isn't much nowadays because somehow I'm an LG player now. I don't know how it happened, but I think the quality has gone that far down, I guess.

So it's like cream of the top, and then you had you know Sequoia, and they had a really good team where they were were fucking Mar. So beating them it wasn't an easy series, it was definitely something watchable for sure. Like that was I think three games went to overtime. And the game seven got decided like within it was one one, and then there was like a minute left, and that's when I scored the basically the game-winning goal to end it.

Really, I kind of just I I didn't want to own like at all, but I figured, you know, we we needed openers, and I was like, alright, well, I'll team up with Shane and I'll let him basically just him do all the work and like get his like get his picks or whatever. And then he left, so I was like, oh okay, I'm gonna get I guess BJ in there, and then he came back, so I was like, okay, well, let me go back with Shane and just follow the original plan. So really I all I said was, you know, try to get the players I'm good with, like, and just like just try to keep this like the same team that we were trying, and I guess he did as well of his job as he could with the drafts, how it ended.

So it's it's nice to have a good goalie tandem.

Also the three the the third. trait banned the red trait being banned it also will hinder him as much because he had red one T which helped him but now it's gone and I'm I'm still upset about red traits being banned. I kind of understood that it was a pay to win system but at the same time we could have just kept the red traits that were not pay to win.

Alright fair enough jersey boy getting stuck in the Jerry's team for the unteenth time it feels like I I don't know what to feel about that. And the sound cap is saying at 60 65 I think or 70 movement notes the games start tomorrow night go through Friday and then that's Tuesday through Friday's the schedule going forward correct long term yeah it's always been Tuesday Friday. Well last season that's what it was so I was gonna say that was definitely last season and then it's it's kind of bounced around over the last five or six seasons depending on who's in charge and who's around the show games and then there's three games yeah I mean it clears up from uh they usually do Sunday Monday Tuesday so you know once once you get clear Tuesday it's basically you can do whatever you want unfortunately we are all subject to the big boy shenanigans that ensue all right uh I guess is it that's that's all the notes I have if you guys have anything you want to go off on a tangent for go right ahead no I got nothing I mean I I would say the big thing is and this is just a general E a N H L thing but I think they have to have a world chill like complete overhaul of the game like the traits and perks are cool and whatnot and they work as far as varying up the gameplay style but I think the tier system has kind of ruined all the fun of it. So maybe just have next season only do like the tier two is like the one level you can have of the of the perk basically or not make it pay to win that's really stupid. That is also a big thing like I I don't understand how you hide hide like the specialist being able to break stack caps is incredibly stupid I think and is it did they put some of the NHL player builds in there also which also break caps?

Yeah so it basically destroys any fun you would have in pubs or drop-ins we can run on that uh Blaine what would you change what's the one thing you would change about NHL going into 27 how we what we were talking about kind of make all the trades just like one flat thing make it available to everyone don't no pay to win just right off the bat just this is what you get this is what you got right and I don't mind like during the season if one trader or another gets you know someone's able to take advantage of it you increase like the cost of that park while subtracting another kind of how they did this yeah with the uh with the point allocations I don't mind not switching you know season to season but it's gotta be based off actual gameplay rather than the whims of the the people in charge.

How To Fix Traits: Balance, No Pay-To-Win

Yeah so you're saying like hey a lot of people are playing this way with this trait let's change it up change the point so they have to adjust exactly uh if you look at like League of Legends or really any type of popular like multiplayer type game they all have you know balancing and patching to kind of counteract what's you know maybe a bit too broken or overpowered or what's you know maybe lacking a bit behind trying to give that a little love in the process type of thing because I don't know I think we all can agree the tier threes are a little busted is there any other like extremely busted perk that like is borderline breaking the game well I think like the the main reason why red traits were banned was because of the red truck which is like kind of crazy and it's kind of really powerful.

It's an absolute blast till you get on the other side of it and receive that hit the only counter I found to that was red unstoppable force reverse hit that's the only counter I found for that right and to build your build around that is kind of hand tying yourself basically versus the actual style hockey wanna play I think they should get like I think they should make it an overall just like instead of 2K?

Yeah kind of like 2K but like less of the you know pay to pay to win pay to win process but like you know just play some games and then you get you know plus five there and plus five there and then like if you complete a challenge you'll get a plus ten on any attribute that you want and then you could go up to a 99 but like you know you can't get everything that you want like you know you can't have 99 speed 99 shot 99 everything you know it's like you break them up into like basically what 2K does and like you you make him a 99 overall but not everything can get to 99.

So basically again me pure spitball you start at like an 80 overall and for those who don't play the the NBA 2K series when you first create a character you allocate your caps up to 99 right when you make the character so you're saying something like that where as you're an XP in levels and whatnot you gain attribute points that you can apply to those caps.

Build Diversity, Meta Problems, And Counters

Obviously it's not going to go forward because it's EA but I think I would like that yeah because then it would it would require you to instead of just when you make a build you just like immediately put all your points into the same thing that everyone does and everyone has the same build every single time just make it where you know you spend maybe like a 30 minutes just looking at the build okay what do I want to like what do I want to be great at what's my points what's my weakness what's this what can I do to counter this right and just think build a great player. Yeah you know if you don't want to spend the 30 minutes going you know trait by trait if you have say okay this you know basic build is really good at defensive stats this one's really good at being a two-way player you know this one's good at being a sniper something like you know doesn't break any regular caps or anything but just a quick pre-built that if you want to build it you can do it yeah like you know if you want to make like it's so it's just to like count like to make it to where it's not the same builds that everyone uses every single time I mean how many times have we seen five nines wingers or five seven wingers at just like with 97 speed and like why don't instead you know you like if we had that system you would see maybe a six foot foot four guy like being really like just a grinder but really hard to knock off the puck and it's very versatile. Like it's just that's what I want it's it's just not using the same metas every season and make everyone useful in their own right with the overall system.

Right because to be honest I've basically used the same builds for like the last two and a half years in Waldo Chell because really my build's been on the lower end of the power tier so really nothing's been done to it.

I just switched recently I just went from the power forward to a two way forward yeah and I mean I've always heard the two way forward's kind of the I don't want to be a speed or power guy I just want to kind of live in the best of both worlds type of thing yeah my two way forward has 80 Rishat, 97 speed, 86 bounce, 90 agility, then 80 rishat power, 80 uh 97 acceleration, 88 puck control, 88 endurance, and then he's got like 90 hitting 90 passing 88 offense awareness 84 stick checking 84 defense awareness then he's got 86 hand eye 90 strength 80 durability and 88 deking again a little bit of best worlds although I feel like the speed uh agility thing that's almost required for every build nowadays because if you're like even three like speed points off you're just getting cooked every game.

Oh yeah that's what I mean about like the overall system it's like you know it's either to like do like make it to where okay maybe I'm not the fastest but it balances it out because you're stronger and it doesn't affect like if you make a full on speedy build it's gonna be extremely hard to get around people and use because you have no edge basically yeah exactly like that that's like in the grand scheme of things that's the one big change I want is if you're building these 95 96 97 speed guys like you they can't have it lead edges you know they have to basically turn like a boat because in OSI it's very difficult to go from 25 30 miles an hour down to a straight stop without absolutely destroying your ankle and it's like even if they have high agility then that means like if they put everything on just being athletic then they're not a really a good shooter they're not a good passer they're not a good puck handler. Like just make it to where it hinders them and like having to solve around those problems. And also the biggest thing why the hell do we have a sh a store to buy equipment but when we make a team it's still bags that is the most annoying thing I don't know why they haven't just changed that and put that as a store for the team so you could buy the jerseys you want you could buy the logos you want. You don't have to wait play 1700 games to finally get the logo that you want it's just stupid.

If they start doing the stadium pieces with that though that's where I start having a problem but just make it to where it's like it's chelcoins like the the ones you you win like just currency or you make it a club coin where you know you play you play games as a club you get coins for it then you could buy things from the store of the team and then you buy the logos and the jerseys you want.

Because we have chel coins and then we have hot coins and we have premium bucks and premium was it premium chell coins or what the hell is the new thing they introduced like a week or two ago I thought I mean either or you can make it just it doesn't matter like chell coins it it doesn't matter. Just stop making it RNG for the fact that you want something like when you win games and you get like jerseys that you don't want and the club bags are just awful and you don't get the things that you want just please make it to where you just get currency from it and just buy the ones you want. So you have to play 650 games to finally get the thing you want exactly that's the reason why I stopped creating teams is I would want to build it one way and I just would never get the right stuff for it basically exactly like just make it just you guys the EA already made a store why don't you just improvise with that and lead the club bags out of this universe no one wants club bags anymore.
