The algorithm knows exactly how to make men spiral—and we're here to celebrate the chaos. This week we're talking about  the funniest rage bait we’ve seen online. Grab your popcorn... and maybe don't send this episode to your husband or boyfriend, especially if he’s fragile 🤣. It's all love, all jokes, and absolutely zero malicious intent.

SPEAKER_00

Hi Heather. Hi Gina. How are you? I'm great. How are you?

SPEAKER_01

I'm good.

SPEAKER_00

Good. Look at us good. We're doing so good. We're thriving. We're thriving. Thriving. Um, if you did not watch our last episode, we were a little riled up. We got into our petty grievances. Sorry about that. So I feel like today is gonna be fun because I don't know. I was looking at some of these. They make me laugh so hard. It's like a viral trend of rage bait. Yes. Which I feel like if you get into the whole rage bait thing, it's like it's really what the whole internet is. It's like people post something just to get you like fired up or whatever. But this is like harmless, hilarious rage bait. Wait, speaking about rage bait, specifically targeted at men, which I think is hilarious.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, we're rage baiting men today. But rage baiting women, did you see or have you heard? Because I'm still mad about it. Oh no. The girl, whatever it was, it worked. Clearly, she's doing it for rage bait. And she is like, I want to just tell everyone, leave it alone because you're giving her exactly what they want, right? She came out and said, like, women better act their weight. And if you weigh 160 pounds or more, and I was like, oh.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, but what does act your weight mean? What are you supposed to do? How do you live appropriately for that? No, that's purposely, that's rage weight. She'll get so many views and comments, and that's the whole point. Right. It doesn't, you don't have to agree with her. Here I am talking about it here. But I feel like these ones are lighthearted and not coming at all from deep in her. Well, but don't you feel like when you were reading some of these, imagine a lot of them are based off of like dating now, what guys are like. Thank God. We are so far past this. And I wouldn't have said one of these things, probably to my husband. Some of them I would say now in the heat of an argument just to make him so mad. When we were dating, like it's just they're almost like what is the word? I can't think of the word. They're almost like a generalization of like that like bro that you picture right now, and he needs to hear some of these things. Some of these need to be heard. If they make you laugh out loud, that is the whole point. Yes. So all this this is not mean spirited at all.

SPEAKER_01

Not at all. We just have found what we find to be some of the funnier uh things to say to rage bait men. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And can't you just picture though that there are men, not our men, there are men in your life where if you said any of these things, somebody said what's on your list? Somebody said something to them. They take themselves so seriously or whatever that you could see them just like losing it. And you're like, oh, you're exactly the target, buddy. It worked for you.

SPEAKER_01

So write these down if you haven't already heard them.

SPEAKER_00

So funny.

SPEAKER_01

Use them in a fight, use them with your brother.

SPEAKER_00

Whatever. I'm gonna use them. That's true. I was thinking always like relationship status. No. But then I got into a field of them where they were like rage baiting my dad. And like, oh my gosh, depending on your dad and like that older generation, that's so easy to do. Yeah, my dad would not take kindly to one girl was just like, I'm just narrating everything my dad does to rage bait him today. She's like, he's chopping his lemon. I think he's adding it to his why would you do that to your dad? But her dad was getting like furious, and you're just like, Oh, it's it's basically like a prank for the internet.

SPEAKER_01

Wait, I saw one I told I told the kids I want to do it to Ryan, where the kids, every time their dad takes like a call or like a business call, they pretend that they're on the other line. So he's like saying something and they're like, Yeah, I don't know if I'm gonna be able to get that by five o'clock. And he's like looking at it and like, cut it out.

SPEAKER_00

Like people are funny. It's just funny to watch other people be clever on the internet, and then I get to benefit. Oh, half the time I laugh out loud.

SPEAKER_01

The comments people's people are creative and people are coming off of our second episode of being absolutely annoyed with uh the general public, the general public, all the other humans.

SPEAKER_00

I will say you guys are funny. Some of them are all right. You guys are okay. Some of you guys are funny. And if you're also the person who's backing in with a pickup truck, like he's really not funny. This is the guy who needs to hear most of these. All right, we'll just fire him back and forth. All right. I'm sure we'll have some overlap, but go ahead, get us started. I will start with how to rage bait men.

SPEAKER_01

I thought your voice would be deeper.

SPEAKER_00

It's so funny. Why is that such a thing for a man? It's like one of those things, like height or something that they're sensitive about. Uh how about I like this one. I just said it. You're not as sensitive as everyone said you are.

SPEAKER_01

Oh I have a similar one. It was you don't seem as paranoid as people say you are.

SPEAKER_00

Paranoids like next level. Sounds like you're scared. Oh, that's um, or this one was a good one. Like just walking up to a guy at a party and saying, Personally, I don't have a problem with you being here.

unknown

I had on.

SPEAKER_00

Just the confusion. I love it. You're just sowing some trouble.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that's so good.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, let me see. I had that one so um Do you wish you were strong?

SPEAKER_00

That's harsh. That's harsh. But on a related note, if you were athletic, what sport do you think you would play?

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh, that's so good. Uh, do you see the people doing that to like like they're pro-oh no.

SPEAKER_00

I've seen people do it like to their husband. Yeah. And her husband's like gaming, and she's like, if you were athletic, and he's like, What do you?

SPEAKER_01

I am athletic.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, you know, like immediately.

SPEAKER_01

Every single one bites. Oh. Every single one. And like it'll be they have to speak on it. Yeah. No, it'll be like wives or girlfriends of like pro-athletes, like NFL.

SPEAKER_00

It's almost not as funny then because they're like clearly, I am the whole world. I know.

SPEAKER_01

And they'll be like, Do you ever wish you were athletic? And they'll like look at her like, Are you okay?

SPEAKER_00

I like that one though. If you were athletic, what sport do you think you'd like to do that? That's good.

SPEAKER_01

Um, you look like you hold your pen with a fist.

SPEAKER_00

Like I saw that one, but also I know little kids who do that. So grow out of it. You're gonna be okay, buddy. No, no, no. This is men. Really? Grown men. Grown men. Um, speaking of sports related, I love this one too, because guys are so serious about like their team. And if he's wearing like a sports jersey, you're like, oh, I love your cosplay outfit. Because he's over there thinking he looks just like Kobe Bryant or whatever in a jersey. Oh, that's so cool. With like a t-shirt underneath it. I love your cosplay. Um costume. Another girl said costume. I love your costume. You guys are twinning. Right? That's a good one. You and Kobe are twinning.

SPEAKER_01

Um, oh, this one's a little like I don't know. This this is mean. Well mean? I dig it.

SPEAKER_00

Lighthearted in the spirit of laughing.

SPEAKER_01

What exactly are you compensating for?

SPEAKER_00

That's funny. Um, I like these general ones. All things considered, adding it to the end of any compliment you give. You did a really good job on the presentation, all things considered. Right. No more contest. Leave them with a little question at the end. Right. All things considered. This one is similar.

SPEAKER_01

Aside from the obvious, what would you change about yourself if you could?

SPEAKER_00

I have that one too. And I love watching people do the video with like their husband or their boyfriend. Like, aside from the obvious, and he's like immediately like his eye is like what's the obvious? Oh, that's so good. Uh, how about I like your blouse? Yep. Imagine. Why is that word so like triggering? I don't even want, I don't even want somebody to say that to me as a woman. Like, what is a blouse? It just immediately sounds old and outdated.

SPEAKER_01

Were you with Amanda and I when we were out shopping one day? This was like years and years ago. Uh-huh. And I forget what I said, and she was like roasting me. She was like, Are you our mom's? Are you gonna start calling? Am I wearing a blouse? Do you like my trout? My hands. I can hear it. Apparently, blouse is a very cheap.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah, we were just talking about when you were back like in school and your mom would buy you something really nice from like Macy's. Yes. And you're like, nobody wears this mom, they're just wearing Table Target. She's like, It's a lovely blouse.

SPEAKER_01

It was a lovely blouse. Gems for buttons.

SPEAKER_00

Sparkly buttons. Right. Um, in addition to the all things considered on the end of a compliment, how about adding given your history to the end of either a question or a statement? Like given your history, do you think you should be driving today? Or given your history, I love that one. Um, okay, I had that one.

SPEAKER_01

Jeez, I might only have one more. I don't know. So much overlap. You might only have one more. All right. Um, go up to someone at a party and say, I just want to let you know that I don't personally have a problem with you being here. That's so mean though, too.

SPEAKER_00

You're gonna ruin somebody's whole night.

SPEAKER_01

The fun part, okay. The fun part about men and rage baiting men, yes, is if I were to go up to a woman and say that Oh, you just ruined her whole night. You just ruined her whole six months. She's gonna be spending on that. Who here has a problem?

SPEAKER_00

Or if by the end of the party she's figured something. Right. She's hot on the trail.

SPEAKER_01

Most men, I would say most men, yeah, would be like for a minute, like, what? And then like they would, you know, see a piece of pizza and forget about it. Yeah. She doesn't know what she's talking about.

SPEAKER_00

Everybody loves me here. Don't you love how I feel like men particular sometimes just walk around with like a self- like a self-confidence that you're just like, wow, look at you. Who told you you're the best at everything in the world? I kind of admire it, which is why these are funny. I know. You're just like maybe taking them down a little peg. Uh this one's kind of harsh, but I love it because I feel like women are always I've even seen like political cartoons lately where everything's like, women are so emotional, that's why they can't be in leadership and stuff. So this one is, wow, those are some big feelings, little guys. Oh, yes. I saw that one. Oh, wow. You're really in your feelings right now. Like maybe you want to calm down, come back to the conversation. That's okay. You guys hate to hear. Or you look that they're being emotional.

SPEAKER_01

Really tiny hands.

SPEAKER_00

That makes me picture like the little, you know, the little hands that people will do things with. Like they'll go to a restaurant and do those. Um, this one is general. I feel like you could say it to anybody. I admire your commitment to speaking, even in the absence of knowledge on this. I like that. They're just running their minds. Say it again. I admire your commitment to speaking, even in the absence of having any knowledge on this on this topic. I'm gonna use that. Yeah. Or some girl was like, just call them little buddy anytime. Little little buddy. Oh, yeah, right, little buddy.

SPEAKER_01

Like little buddy. Accurate. Do you want to know why? No, but did you call somebody little buddy? Ryan, not little. Oh. But I called him Bud.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, he doesn't like it.

SPEAKER_01

I was so shocked. Oh, too real.

SPEAKER_00

Too real. I call buddy. Bud. Okay. I call Gianni Bud. Sounds passive aggressive.

SPEAKER_01

Well, the way I said it, but like okay. So Gianni has many nicknames. I won't give them out because I know some of his friends listen to this. Right. Uh, but my main one that I always say to him is like Bud. Like, good job, Bud. Or like Bobby Bud. Pretty kind of common for a boy, you know. And I was changing the sheets, and I'm trying to be uh nicer around the house, you know, like you're stressed, you gotta laugh over it. A lot of times, like I I feel like I can be like snapping or just like directing people, like get your shoes in before you leave. You know, you feel like sometimes you're you know, yeah. So I'm trying to be like better about that. And um, I was changing the sheets, and Ryan was like, I I don't think he was trying to stay out of my way. It felt like he was just in my way everywhere I was going. He was like trying to do something with his pants, and he kept like moving them. Just like everywhere you needed to be different areas of the bed. And I'm like, bro, what are you doing? I'm changing the sheets. And I was trying to like say it nice, and I was like, hey, bud, like you're in my way. I'm trying to change that's not nice. And he was like, Do you realize how like like that is so it's what is the word?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like diminishing. Yes. I can't think of the right word. That's not the right one, but you know what I mean.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and he bud he really thought oh disrespectful.

SPEAKER_00

Disrespectful.

SPEAKER_01

He felt like it was disrespectful, and I was like totally can see that. And I didn't actually even mean to call him.

SPEAKER_00

No, yeah, you actually thought you were being you were like softening the it just like came out and it I was so used to it to be.

SPEAKER_01

So little buddy would be It's pretty rough. That's a good one.

SPEAKER_00

Little buddy. I love your pixie cut. I suspect I feel like a guy would just be super confused about that. It's like a girl term, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Except for it does imply pixie cut, sounds pretty like feminine. And there's some of them that depend like I saw um and Ryan, like I was saying, Ryan would not even care, but you look like you don't know how to grill a steak.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, or I saw some where you're like, can you ask one of your friends uh if they know a good gym? Or like do you know any guys who could change a tire for me if I needed it? A little extra dig. Um, this one I feel like I don't know. There must be a whole field of like finance bros out there where they're like obnoxious, right? But this one was cute because I was like me and Genoa explain it or ask him to explain like crypto and then be like, oh, so it's kind of like Coles Cash. Just like make the whole thing sound like you didn't get it at all, and it's not that serious. I'm like, I actually feel like that probably is my understanding of crypto. I still when Chris starts talking about something like that. I'm just like, no. That's when I feel like I would break out one of these. Yeah. No, I'm not interested. Or aw, say aw after he talks about something he's passionate about. Or like talk about the game four of the playoffs, and you're like, aww. That's cute. That is cute. So diminishing, diminishing. I feel like that's that is the word. Uh, I also like um, I love how you don't let facts get in the way of your strong opinions. Ooh. I feel like that could be used for a lot of people. Not exclusive to men. That's a really good one. Yeah, that's a good one.

SPEAKER_01

I don't remember these.

SPEAKER_00

Can you imagine just being a girl out there on the dating scene right now? And like these are actually things you're saying because these guys are so out of control. Seriously. They're like ego, they just need to be knocked down a peg or something.

SPEAKER_01

Well, because I don't think anyone's used to like talking face to face.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, everything's just like so different now. I just saw something about that, which is why I think this is so funny to me, because like I don't deal with these men, like whoever exemplifies the the reason that we needed a whole category of the internet called like rage bait for men, whoever these guys are. I feel like somebody was just talking about like courting, dating, like how wildly different it is now. And it's a little scary because my kids are still not close yet. I don't I mean, I guess we're coming up on that, but like I just like have no idea what it's gonna look like. And I feel like I'm gonna have to have a few of these in my back pocket for them. Like, oh, is he mansplaining something to you? Just go like aw.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, it's so it's so different not to jump off yeah, that's fine. Dating and all of that, like it's so we're still very, you know, like we got Ava kind of still under our thumb. We're being very cautious about it, but great, you just it it's so different from even when we were dating that it's like wild. Like it's like you feel like you're explaining something that should be common knowledge, but you're like, no, like he should come here, yeah pick you up and meet like have some basic courtesy or like yeah, and like it was funny because she had you know all these different like dances she went to, and then she went to a dance at one of the private schools with one of her like really good childhood friends, okay, and wonderful family, and it was so refreshing because he did it right in it. It was all like old fashioned, it was so old school and I loved it. Oh my gosh. But he came here, had her crissage, picked her up, pinned it on her.

SPEAKER_00

We got to take pictures, like introduced himself to you or talked to you.

SPEAKER_01

You already knew him. He's like, you know, one of her like closest friends, like one of my like favorite kids in the world. I love you, Jack. He acknowledged the adults in the room. He came in hello, Mr. and Mrs. Lesprants, like you know, but it was like even though it was a dear friend, yeah. It was not like you know, like a date or anything like that. At the end of the night, we were able to say, able to say, like, hey, this is how it's like how it's supposed to be.

SPEAKER_00

Though, because she's had both now experiences, and you're like, uh, you see how that one's a little different, huh?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's a very respectable uh I mean, I guess, man now at this point.

SPEAKER_00

Uh I mean it's gotta be hard. You're raising a boy, it's gotta be hard. Yeah, like they have so many bad influences out there about what it means to be a man or to have masculinity or whatever, and like, oh my gosh, what an uphill climb to like raise a gentleman and some like old-fashioned whatever, like traditional kind of expectations. How about you state the obvious with such a sense of discovery? That's so good. I feel like so many of these are uh aimed at like what I can hear as like men, just either like over-explaining or mansplaining or like talking excessively, and as a woman, you're just kind of like right. Yeah, we're I mean, we're as smart as you are, we know what you're saying. Like you're done, you're good now. I love it. Um, also, I love the videos when uh we were just talking about somebody was doing it to their dad. Oh yeah. And like um, some of them were doing questions, like relationship questions, to like rage bait your spouse, significant other, but like those did not make me laugh at all because it was like you're almost trying to trap him, and like it would be like, which one of your exes do you think is prettier than me, or whatever? And it's like you're purposely asking him like a super hard, and then you're like, you're just rage baiting yourself at that point. I was like, This is not funny to me anymore. No, no, I like the like quippy little one-liners where you're like, they're almost like flirty. Do you think it's your hairline receding that's making you emotional today? Like, there's so many like mean ones, but also like listen, women get it all the time.

SPEAKER_01

They're like, Oh, that's okay. I'm on my period too.

SPEAKER_00

Somebody was like, just call him princess all the time. I'm like, oh, that's all right, princess. You got this princess. Can you imagine? Our husbands would just look at us like, are you nuts? Right. Like, I don't know, but apparently, if you try, try calling Chris Bud. I could see that. I'm trying to think if there's anything I could say to him, like a nickname or anything where Chris would be like, dude, yeah, no. It's weird. I do think it would be Bud because I would say it in the most passive-aggressive way. It just slipped out, so I'm famous for that. Bud, like I can't see myself using it in a genuine way.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, there's not a whole lot that I could like, you know, Ryan's a pretty confident guy. It's what attracted me to him. So, like, there's not a lot of stuff. Like, I would say this to him, and he'd be like, psh, okay. Like not a lot would bother him.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you're gonna get an eye roll, really. No real rage to speak of. Bud sent him over the edge. Were you like, I'm so sorry. I guess yeah, call a guy's little buddy. Does Gianni okay with all your nicknames for him, or is he getting too old? And then it's like, as long as he's not in front of his friends, yeah, as long as nobody else like hears it.

SPEAKER_01

Like, you know, I mean, there have been a couple times because it's programmed in my phone, his like main nickname that he's had like since a little boy. And that's like how he is as a contact in my phone. Oh, yeah. So there have been times where like if there's other people in the car, it'll be like Ava's friends, not anymore because we're all driving. If they see it come up on my screen, you know, and he hears about it, they're like, seriously, I'm like, I'm not changing it ever. He's gonna be a grown man with like a wife and kids. These would I think some of these would bother him.

SPEAKER_00

These, yeah, I do think it yeah, I feel like certainly there's an age thing here where it's like some younger guys who are like maybe less confident and haven't really found themselves yet. But also, I do think it's kind of a what is the word? There's like an English term I'm gonna nerd out on you. Hyperbole? Yeah, hyperbole or like an uh what is it called? Caricature of like a man that's out there that is like, you know, he's like one of the bros. He's like takes himself so seriously, and like these are exactly what you think of when you think of like a caricature of that guy.

SPEAKER_01

Gotta have some tools to knock him down a few matches.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, honestly, though, they're just hilarious. There's just there's so many out there. You should go find more. Yes. For sure. Like, we would recommend that. And again, all in good fun. All in good fun. We're not really trying to hurt anybody's feelings. There were a lot that were like physical digs. I know. I mean, even the hairline one, like sensitive out. Right. And I was trying not to be mean with any of mine. Some of them were a little mean. Some of them were mean. What about but there's some really funny ones out there where I chuckled and I was like, oh, I don't want to repeat that though. You look like a rough draft. You look like you'd be really easy to draw. And I'm like, what does that even mean? But like it hurts. Like you know what it means, but also it's a little too much. I know. Yeah. There are or like if you could uh if you could pick your height, how tall do you think you would want to be or something? I feel like some of those things with men are so sensitive.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

The hair, the pixie cut.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, stuff they can't, I mean, or if they're really enthusiastic.

SPEAKER_00

Tense too about like sports or something, just making light of any of that, right? Like because the uh when the shoes on the other foot or whatever that say, like there's things that they're like, Oh, you're ridiculous about that. And you're like, Okay, well, you think you belong on the Knicks or something, like you are not wearing different socks today, so that like your team will win in the channel. Like, you know, they get so into things too, they just need to hear about it.

SPEAKER_01

Wait, are you rooting for the Knicks or the Spurs? I don't really have a horse in the race. I don't care.

SPEAKER_00

I just told Chris though it's total side tangent because we have a soccer player in our house. I was like, we gotta do something for like like the kickoff or whatever. I'll just probably go buy like soccer plates. Oh, the World Cup. Yeah, and like make some soccer cupcakes. Like that's my extent. Yeah, I don't actually I'll watch like a game. Did you hear the new song? No, but the last World Cup one is so bad.

SPEAKER_01

My kids uh World Cup.

SPEAKER_00

That's the old one. That's the okay, I was gonna say the new one. I was like, this is the worst song ever in the history of the world. And they mispronounced so many of the countries' names. I know that was a man for sure. Yes. No, there's a new one I should find. There's a new one.

SPEAKER_01

Gianni just played it for us after we've been rapping lucid dreams. We've been listening to that.

SPEAKER_00

Talked about lucid dreams last night all week since. I insulted Post Malone. Unlike unknown. Did you just see uh except for we're talking about badly behaved men? Did you just see that like Morgan Wallen did another thing? Because weren't you just talking about him and Post Malone? You thought I had them confused. And I was like, no, I equally dislike Morgan Wallen. He just did another thing where he's like in the news, like bad behavior stuff. I don't know what he did. Something at a show where he did something. And I'm just like, girl, was it he grew up?

SPEAKER_01

So rich and famous phone for real. He like chucked it because I think somebody somebody commented in the comments and said like he didn't he didn't grab my phone.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, maybe it was that. Maybe it was a joke. I don't know. Me and my kids always laugh because we don't I don't like his music. Merlin Wallin? I can't stand it. And my kids will listen to it because like their peers do and they think it's cool. And then we'll just like when I have to listen to it because they're like with me, I'll rewrite the lyrics, just be like, through a chair off a deck. Oh, I'll say pr I I was in prison again. Like, I'll just like rewrite the they're like, stop it! And I'm like, but I mean it's stupid.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like you are Ryan sometimes. Like so many things you do are.

SPEAKER_00

I dare you to call me Buddy right now. Sorry, bud. I'm trying to think of you. You call me blondie. I don't love that.

SPEAKER_01

I know. I don't know. Let's just get it out there.

SPEAKER_00

Let's have this beat.

SPEAKER_01

Why don't you like blondie?

SPEAKER_00

It sounds diminishing. Oh, I think you're John Blonde or something.

SPEAKER_01

You're like the blondie. No, I don't.

SPEAKER_00

It doesn't truly bother me because it's you. If somebody was like, okay, blondie, I would be like, oh, yeah, that would bother me. Step off.

SPEAKER_01

There's things that don't like I I a lot of the rage bait, I would like to hear a rage bait for women, even though I feel like our whole life would be like a big thing.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I mean, the one you opened the podcast with, for sure. Which one? Like the girl who was talking about like fitness or because women immediately, it's not even about you. You're coming to the defense of like all women everywhere where you're like, shut your mouth.

SPEAKER_01

How ignorant, girl, if you're watching, are you? Because like the weight on the scale in no way is indicative of your the muscle you can do.

SPEAKER_00

Right, right. Which is why I love like um what is her name? She's like an Olympian, and she's a bigger girl. She is like thick and muscular, and I think she plays like lacrosse. You would know her. She makes so many viral videos. Is she a blondie? She's not a blondie. I don't even know. Ilana, Ilana. Shoot. I'm so mad at myself. But she makes so many good videos about like body image and like because she is an Olympic athlete. She is solid through and through, but she's like 200 pounds of like solid. She's tall. Yeah. I can't. Maher. Maybe Ilana Maher.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I don't know that.

SPEAKER_00

Um, rugby. She plays rugby. So you can imagine the body type you need to be amazing, literally like top notch.

SPEAKER_01

Probably.

SPEAKER_00

But she makes so many good videos. Yeah. To like in response to things like that. So if you don't follow her, follow her. It's so irritating. She was talking about like eating at the Olympic Village and stuff. She's like, oh, am I eating celery and stuff? No, I'm fueling my body because like I'm a beast and like I love her.

SPEAKER_01

That's why it's so interesting, just even the topic of rage baiting, like because it's so different for women and men. And I I saw it, I always knew it, but I saw it firsthand when Gianni um played football last year, and I went to the like they call it like the Roundup. And all the previous players were coming back and talking to the coaches, and so much was about like nutrition, fueling your body. But hearing their rhetoric, just their chitter chatter, like on the side, they were saying, like, oh yeah, I'm up 30 pounds. The coach is like, that's amazing. Like and I'm like, could you like it's so different? Yeah. So with where women all you hear is like, you know, be smaller, be smaller, be smaller.

SPEAKER_00

Even if you're an athlete, yeah. We were just talking about that with gymnasts because um the gymnastics like world, I feel like has come such a long way. Where like in those like toxic years, where I'm sure you can remember, like when we were kids watching the Olympics, the girls were like itty bitty and malnourished, and like their coaches were literally like lose five pounds, lose ten pounds. They would go to like Olympic villages training camps and be like starved on purpose. And now looking at some of the athletes that are like the best in the world, dude, they're like rock salad, muscular, thick, like they do not look like they're missing meals. And I'm like, gosh, at least we've made some progress there. Right. But oh my gosh, yeah, it's just so wild. How different.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I'll keep calling you blown. I'm sorry. I don't know. Sorry, you're not rage baiting me. No, there's a lot of names. I'm okay with it. Like, do you feel like culturally? I mean, maybe you don't relate to this, but there's even a lot of names like culturally that like when I hear them, some people get very offended. They don't bother me. Like, if somebody were to call me like a Dago or a Wow, I'd be like, Well, I mean, I have papers.

SPEAKER_00

So uh No, I thought you were gonna say like gendered stuff though, because when I was looking at the rage baiting thing, it was like, call your boyfriend some of the things that women get called all the time, like darling or sweetheart, or you know, like you're just out in public and a cashier or some guy will be like, here you go, sweetheart. Like that stuff doesn't bother me.

SPEAKER_01

It doesn't bother me at all.

SPEAKER_00

If he made some kind of weird comment or you know, like was creepy. I had somebody sniff me the other day. Oh my gosh. We're speaking of rage baits. Sniff. Did you go nuts on him? No. How aggr can you reenact it a little bit? Okay, how aggressively did they sniff? Okay. And how do you know they're sniffing you? I just need like a little bit of a reenactment.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. So I will before I say this, I will say, sweetheart doesn't bother me unless you're my age or younger than me. Okay. If so, if like a kid calls me honey, I'm like, hold, hold up, hold the trick. What are you 23? Now it's derogatory. Now now you're trying to Okay. You know what I mean? Like you're saying, okay, honey. Yeah, I can see it. No, no, no. Uh, I was on a walk and it was a gentleman. Okay. And it was just me and this gentleman. So I I I felt it was were you walking in your neighborhood? Uh on Garfield. Okay. So I mean I felt like kind of on a fairly main road. Yeah. So I mean, there were and it was daylight. Like, but you know, woman in the bear type situation would have chosen the bear. Felt unsafe. You know what I'm saying? Okay. Even not needed, you know what I mean. And this, I don't know, I think I would have just ran. And was walking in front of me slowly. So I but the sidewalk on Garfield is large enough that I I like pass that. And um passed just, you know, like oh, we were like three feet away when I was passing them and just kind of went like, you know, like to make it not seem like.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you're actually gonna be jerky, like you're walking too slow.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Walked by, turned around, and like passed. And when I passed, basically, like said, like when I walked by, he smelled me and I smelled really good. Oh, he said that. And then, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I didn't take my how obnoxious was the sniff that you were like, he's sniffing me. I thought it was like a oh no, that's what he did. Oh, that's gross. And then when I don't want to say it word for word because god god forbid he's like watching. I hope he is, and I hope his parents are watching, and every male in his life do something. And he was like, You you smell so good, and then he went, and I'm like, Oh, that's disgusting.

SPEAKER_01

Should have turned around and been like, You should walk faster, little buddy. And you know me. Like I'm always like rambling and I'm so like self-deprecating. I'm always like, Well, I'm glad I smell that because I'm I'm so stingy.

SPEAKER_00

And then I'm just like You're like, it's Rio de Janeiro, number 37. I just kept walking like really fast. I was like, Oh my gosh. What on earth? If it was another woman, compliment.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_00

If it's a guy, what on earth? Who told you that you could walk around the world telling people that they smell good? I was like, Because it's a guy, it's immediately it's taken different.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_00

So that is so creepy.

SPEAKER_01

It really was off-putting. I went home and I was like, Hey, uh, somebody uh so funny you said the bear thing, because I think I just had to explain that to Chris.

SPEAKER_00

Like the whole, I don't know, I'm not gonna get it right, but 80 out of a hundred women, women would say, like, if you were in a forest with a bear or a man, what would you choose? And they choose bear. Yeah. And one of these like rage bait things that I was laughing at was like, Oh yeah, for sure I'd go with the bear. Yeah. Like just talking to a guy like you just met or something. And I'm like, what a horrible like promise that we even have to discuss. Right. That, but also as mothers of daughters, you do. And it's it's crazy, but if you some of these men do not have a guy or a parent in their life saying, like, stop being a creep, don't be a creep, you can't be a creep. For real.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no. If you were in the woods and you had to like close your eyes and picture that, who you'd be more scared of, I'd be more scared of a man alone in the woods. Right. You know what I mean? Without context.

SPEAKER_00

Without yeah, I mean, yeah. But if you're just p randomly picking the guy, too. Yeah. They can. Neither can I. Oh, they can outrun you.

SPEAKER_01

And I can't, so right.

SPEAKER_00

But there's a lot of implied, yeah, awful facts. And you can't rage bait a bear. I don't know. You can rage bait a male. Did you want to try that roar again, little buddy? Do you wish the tower was deeper? You're done. Immediately.

SPEAKER_01

Do you wish you could run as fast as a cheetah?

SPEAKER_00

If you were a different kind of bear, what do you think you'd want to bait?

SPEAKER_01

Next podcast, we're rage baiting animals.

SPEAKER_00

Um wait, I was gonna say something about the bear thing. Oh, that's my train of thought. Regardless, I think I was explaining it to Chris because he had never even heard that or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, why would he?

SPEAKER_00

And I was like, why is this even a thing that we would have to talk about? But like also be aware that it's a thing we have to talk about.

SPEAKER_01

100%.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I'm not sure. Also, I like your blouse. Huh? I like your blouse. Oh, I was like, Wait, I'm not wearing your blouse.

SPEAKER_00

No, if he's wearing like a button down. I like your blouse. We did that one earlier. I love it. I love it because it immediately they would just be so ticked off.

SPEAKER_01

And it's a word, it's just a silly little word. That one might actually I'm gonna try that one on Ryan's. Such a good one. That one actually might bother him.

SPEAKER_00

I like your blouse, isn't that from is it from Nacho Libre too? No, it's from a movie where he's like, I like your blouse. Uh is he? Oh, that's what it is. I can picture like him with his Mexican accent.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a Napoleon dynamo.

SPEAKER_00

It's that tracks that make sense.

SPEAKER_01

No, Nacho. Nacho Libre we quote all the time because um can I do the accent? Is that like politically correct anymore?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, when I go I mean Jack Black did it for the entire movie, and he's not Mexico.

SPEAKER_01

When I go to Mexico, they think I am, so if maybe I'm allowed. Yeah, go for it.

SPEAKER_00

You just have to do the movie line. The one as it's presented. The character, the like really skinny guy. Yeah, his wrestling partner.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. And he was like, they were just every day they were just like serving beans, serving beans, serving beans, and one day he's like, Can we have like a salad or something?

SPEAKER_00

So we say that all the time. We love that movie so much. I actually just saw a cute thing that was like, if you can't quote Nacho Libre with me, like don't even be frustrated. Don't even ask me out, or don't even, yeah, don't even comfort me.

SPEAKER_01

That or Napoleon, I I probably quote Napoleon Dynamite Like.

SPEAKER_00

Isn't that so fun to show those things to your kids? Did you have they seen them all yet? Now I feel like I loved it when my kids got to the age where I was like, okay, we're it's not all Disney anymore. And we keep thinking, like, oh, what else can we show them now? I think we showed them Beverly Hills Ninja, which yeah, sometimes you go back and watch it and you're like, oh, there's more in here than I thought there was. Because Tommy Boy. Yeah, we haven't done some of those, but I loved the Napoleon and the Nacho Libre because I also felt like that's when I knew I did a good job raising them. Because they immediately got like the weird humor that is Napoleon Dynamite. Because the first time you see it, you're kind of like, what's happening? Were you this a parody? Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Remember, we all kind of left. Wait, then we can watch the second time.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. As you watch it, and it's kind of like one of those cult classic things now. But because they immediately got it, yeah, and they look would quote it, your mom goes to college. I was like, Yes, I think our work here is done. These are good humans. I need my chefs, everybody lips for meal but know about Jesus, and they think Nacho Libre is funny. Napoleon Dynamo. Feel like our work here is done. They're good. You're good. Also, I got daughters, so I might save this file for the future. Save the file, save this. He's got a boyfriend, thinks he's a little too cool for school. No, no, no, I'm saying if they do. Oh, if they do, I was like, I didn't hear about this new development. Oh gosh, like I wouldn't have told you. No, I mean my fifth grader's talking to somebody, right? Which I think is hilarious. They're whatever they are. And I'm like, what does that look like? You guys make out in the closet at school? She's like, Mom, oh my gosh. And I'm like, I know, but like, literally, what are you telling me? Don't even ask. You guys talk to each other more than the average boy-girl combo. Like, it's hilarious. Would you get into snap streaks? Oh gosh, no.

SPEAKER_01

And we like took Gianni's phone away when he had a girlfriend and he was like, She's um, we're gonna break our snap streak. And I was like, I don't care. Relationship can't survive this, it wasn't made for this world. Like Ava went helped him out and like went on her snap and said, like streak. Like there's like help. It's like a streak, like you snap back and forth. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And like Ava has like a record, it's like duolingo, like you've been practicing your Spanish for 30 years. That's crazy. Yeah. Ain't nobody got time for it.

SPEAKER_01

And it's like their ear, a nose, their foot. I'm like, what are you guys doing? Oh, the pictures.

SPEAKER_00

I thought it was just a conversation. No, see, I'm really out of the loops. I don't know anything about all the things. Oh, that's scary.

SPEAKER_01

I know. And it's all just like toes hanging over a sandal. Yeah, then ear poking through hair.

SPEAKER_00

If you don't know why that's funny, you gotta go back watch another episode. Uh, okay, no, I will be coming for you. I need all the help when I get there. We're not there yet. Thank God. I mean, I think we're interested. Yeah, you know, things are moving that direction, but like, I don't have any little like mustaches showing up at my door yet. Hold on to your butts. It's a bumpy rubber. It's another good movie quote. I say that all the time when I'm driving. Like, accelerate so fast and be like, hold on to your butts. Seriously. I don't know, but wait, we say it all the time.

SPEAKER_01

Where what about wasn't there an SNL screen? Where they were impersonating Roseanne Barr and her husband, and they're like, This is not our butts, this is not our bots. Like John Goodman. John Goodman. No, yeah, John Goodman.

SPEAKER_00

Hold on to your butts. Oh, it's gonna drive me crazy. Was it it wasn't um the Christmas vacation, right? Nasha Lampoon? I don't think so. Okay, well tell us in our comments if you know before we can find it, because I might have to go home. Or also if you have more rage bait from Adam. Oh, yeah, or if you found any really funny ones that we did not share today. Yes. We love laughing at them. Yep. No mean-spiritedness. Send them all. Send us the rage bait. If they're mean, you can DM them. We'll chuckle quietly to ourselves. Right. All right. Well, it was fun. Yep. Once again, thanks for watching. Look out, man. Thanks for stopping by. Yeah. See you guys later. See you later.
