SPEAKER_00

Hi Heather.

SPEAKER_01

Hi Gina.

SPEAKER_00

How are you?

SPEAKER_01

I'm good. How are you?

SPEAKER_00

I'm great. We're all just uh Are you trying to try to serve? Yeah, for our any of our viewers that do not live in Michigan, we would like to tell you that right now we can't eat lettuce, fruit. We also can't go outside, we can't breathe the air, and it's a hundred and like a hundred and ten outside.

SPEAKER_01

It's like the opposite of what you want for a Michigan summer because it's already so short. But now it's like all those fresh fruits you were looking forward to that are in season. Nope. Rocket diarrhea. Maybe, maybe not. We don't know yet. Also, did you want to spend more time outside? You can. Two reasons. It's a hundred degrees and the smoke. Yeah. Usually when you hear stuff like that, you're like, eh. And then like you barely notice it. It's horrible. When you go outside of our home right now, it is like a permanent bonfire is happening in your neighborhood. It's intense. It is intense. The smell, the thickness of like the smoke and that like the sunset last night was wild. It looked like apocalyptic. Scary.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And fun fact, we have the the worst air quality in the country right now.

SPEAKER_01

I saw that. Detroit, like uh southeastern Michigan. And it feels like it. Yeah, yes. I know. And my body is like, we can't do it. Like I'm glasses today. Like my eyes will not deal with it. Like I'm coughing.

SPEAKER_00

I think I'm gonna put up the Christmas tree and just eat cheese. Like that's where we're stuck inside. We're just gonna eat cheese. I know.

SPEAKER_01

Hopefully, everybody has a Michigan basement where you can just go retreat where it's cool and you're getting all the smoke filtered out by your air conditioning. So that that's how we are, I guess. I mean, trying not to be too negative. There's a lot heavier things going on in the world, but this does feel like a lot at one time for Michigan. Right? It's a lot.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, you know, Canada's always like our annoying like sibling, in my opinion. That's what listen, no offense to some of my Canadian brothers and sisters because I did, I texted my friend Lesson. No, she's fine. I was like, is everyone all right over there? She's like, Yeah, we're all good. I'm like, okay, I'm still mad at you then.

SPEAKER_01

No, I know. I heard that the wildfires are like not like in an area where it's like threatening to human neighborhoods. It's not like the California wildfires where like in human neighborhoods. So that does make me feel bad.

SPEAKER_00

They've evacuated. I do my heart goes out to them, but like, man, keep the air over there. It is rough.

SPEAKER_01

And you forget how close we are because you're like, eh, Canadian wildfires will be fine. And then my backyard looks like something's well.

SPEAKER_00

Ryan was acting like it was blowing down the street because he came from Richmond yesterday. He had like a meeting out there and like came in in like a scurry, smelling like bonfire. He's like, Yeah, it's coming our way. I'm like, what's coming our way? He's like, the air. I'm like, what do you mean? Like, and then poison. I opened the door and I was like, it's here. Like a little bit scary. It's scary.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. And then, you know, we have like a kid with asthma and stuff. So we're on her, like, no, absolutely no being outside today, like riding your bike, doing the things. So she wanted to wear a bandana. And I was like, I don't feel I don't feel like that's gonna do it. I don't feel like that's felt too much. Do you see Alexia driving down your street? She's not there to run in your neighborhood.

SPEAKER_00

Try not to pass out.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh. It's just like, I feel like in my younger days, also, I would just be like, whatever. I just gotta live my life. Now I'm like, absolutely nobody go outside. You can't. My eyes burn, I'm choking. You can't. I mean, whatever.

SPEAKER_00

So that's where we're at today. So we're gonna try to bring some positivity. That would help. And um talk about some of the best advice that we've been given in ever. Yeah. Several categories.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I was gonna say, we're kind of all over the map with this. This is not like moms or whatever. I feel like it's a spectrum. So hopefully it applies to everybody who's listening. Yeah. Just the best advice we've ever gotten that we can remember. And some of it, honestly, for me, is like more recent. I do feel like one of the upsides of the social media thing is that sometimes you see like a new perspective or something that kind of hits you and you save it in a folder and you never go back and read it. But like I do. Sometimes I'll scroll through. I have like a folder that's called like mental health slash advice or something. And I'm like, I should probably look through that.

SPEAKER_00

Mine is called Better Life. Oh like that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. It'd be fun actually. Sometime. You know how people do that purse thing where it's like what's in your purse? Give me your purse. And then you like look. I feel like it would be fun to do uh what are your folders and like your social media? Like, quick, let me see them. Or uh, what are some of the names of the notes you have stored in your phone? Just the title. I don't need any details.

SPEAKER_00

That would be more telling in my phone than I'm gonna do. I was thinking about my own phone. Yeah. And it would be very interesting. I have one that just says jerks. No, I'm kidding. Jerks. It's like your hands. I write down names, yeah. No, I'm joking. Jerks, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so do you want us like what's one of the first categories we want to hit? Do you have like um a specific category you want to start with? You want to go earlier in life, or like, do you have any dating, dating advice?

SPEAKER_00

Um, okay, I do have one like dating advice that will probably require a little bit more explanation. But if I go way back, I remember somebody saying, um, look at how like whoever you're dating and spending time with, look at how their family interacts, specifically if if they are, you know, if the parents are still married, how the parents treat each other. Okay. And look for indicators that might be something that, you know, and it's not necessarily saying, like, well, I don't like how the dad treats the mom, so he must be exactly the same. That's not the case. Everybody's different, everybody has their different personalities, but maybe indicators that could bring up, you know, topics of conversation to say, like, well, how do you feel about, you know, so I was always told to kind of like look at how the family interacts and look at how the parents, should they, you know, still be together, how they interact and treat each other.

SPEAKER_01

That's a good one. Yeah. I don't feel like I've thought about that one very hard. One of mine I thought you were gonna say is actually kind of related, was I'm specifically talking about men. So then I feel like one of them that I heard was like like pay very close attention to how he treats other women in his life. So not just mom and sister, because maybe there's already a lifelong relationship there, but like women. Does he talk about women in a way that you would be okay with him? You know what I mean? Like that kind of stuff. So I feel like uh yeah, just try to be really like noticing those things because they will come up later. Yeah, but and I feel like a more generic one that I had was just talk about everything. Like nothing should really be off limits. I'm not talking about your first date. Like, don't talk about maybe how many kids you want to have on your first date. But if you feel it kind of surprises me sometimes when I hear even married couples say, like, it's not even something I would discuss with my husband. Yes, yeah. I feel like what? Like, there shouldn't be anything off limits, and then of course, take that with in stride as your relationship is growing and you're dating and you're getting more serious. If you can't talk about it now, like what's gonna magically change, like when you're married, or you think you're poking at something that's too controversial, too sensitive, like what's gonna change? Like that thing's gonna be that thing after you're married for a year or five years, or if you guys don't agree and you think it's too big of a thing, it's gonna ruin the relationship. Like, good luck with that when it finally comes to a head, kind of thing. Yeah. So, like to me, nothing should be off limits. Talk about everything.

SPEAKER_00

I agree. I had communicate for like a merit, you know, marital advice, which just seems so like duh.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But like you said, you would be surprised how many people in, you know, a serious relationships, dating, marriages, anything, friendships, like you would be surprised how many people aren't able to communicate. And it doesn't have to look the same for everyone, but like there should not be a lot that you feel like you can't tell that I w I've watched marriages crumble because there were people that were like, I just can't say that. And it's like, well, wow. Yeah, why?

SPEAKER_01

How? Well, how sad too for the potential that if you did, maybe things have gone differently. Yeah. And I do think some people are really they really struggle with communication, which is obviously not our thing. Right. It's a gift for us. But I do feel like something that you learn is that sometimes you think you have communicated something adequately, and like really it's it's implied, or you didn't really talk about it to the extent that you think you did, or whatever. There's a lot of like missed signals going back and forth.

SPEAKER_00

So I don't personally think I do because I have been told I over talk.

SPEAKER_01

So our advice would be over talk everything. I got to death. I got I'm like, you understand, right? Yes, I can. Imagine how that happens in our homes or in our relationships.

SPEAKER_00

So just you know, over talk. Over talk everything. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I feel like don't leave things unsaid, right? That's a big thing. So, depending on the thing, if it's gonna be hurtful or whatever, you don't have to say everything that comes into your mind, but don't leave things unsaid that you know are causing some kind of either friction or buildup of resentment. Yeah, like then what's gonna happen? You think that's literally going away? I don't know. That's a big one. I think it bleeds into the marriage too, for sure.

SPEAKER_00

And I don't really, I don't have much more like dating, but another one other one to throw out for dating would be um to oh my gosh, it was just in my head and now I lost it. Wait a second. Dating, how did I just like literally lose that?

SPEAKER_01

I mean, do you want me to say your age out loud? I got it.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, I got it. Um look at look at everything and take everything seriously if it's on your list of like you must have. And by that I mean if it's super important to you to be complimented by your significant other, if it's super important to have uh physical touch, if it's super important to have, you know, those things, and that person isn't capable of giving that to you at that early stage, even after communication or saying, like, hey, if it seems like, well, this is like a really like tough thing for them to get over, that is um just pay attention to that because it could be a deal breaker for you. You think it's not a big deal, right? But if something is that important to you years down the line, it it's and it's fine.

SPEAKER_01

Not everybody's able to give the same amount, but but you might be mismatched on yes, expectations and what they're able to deliver on that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, keep your must-haves close to your heart and really really pay attention to that because you can't, it's not fair also to expect somebody to completely change who they are.

SPEAKER_01

And I think sometimes we also do think, well, uh, I I can work on that with them or something. Like, yeah, you absolutely can. We've all like done better. Of course, we're like all trying to fix things all the time and grow. But if it's you're working on it a little bit or you're making them aware of it and it's not changing, it just might not be. Might not be it. Yeah, yeah. So all right. Well, though I feel like the dating thing, and I was gonna say, like, Gina probably has more of these because she has like dating aged kids more than I do, but like I'm dreading that. Yeah, and I feel like I'll come back with a whole bunch of top of mind dating advice when it's like because my dating is so far gone. Like, I feel like who even remembers any of it? I feel like I've been married forever, which it's not that long, but it does feel that way. So I feel like when I have teenagers that are more dating, I might have more like I'm sure I'll be firing advice, all kinds of unwanted advice daily. Oh yeah, daily, but some of it is worth saying, and hopefully it's okay. Let's just like lead right into marriage then. I feel like I have more of these because it's more top of mind, and like I said, we're still working on all of this. Like we have not achieved all of these things. Yeah. But one of my first ones was just like continue to be best friends. So hopefully, when you're dating, you feel like this is a person you have fun with, you can talk about anything with. It feels like a best friend that like you get to hang out with. Then when you get married to them, I feel like it feels like your best friend you're in a forever slumber party, right? Yes. But I do feel like as you get older, that is also something you have to be more intentional about because it's just a time you're busy, it might be in the course of a day you don't even have that much time together, so then you have to remember like to work on that. Like, yeah, we haven't just had like a funny whatever chit-chat or go for a walk or whatever, just like work on that part, the best friends thing.

SPEAKER_00

A hundred percent. I had always date your spouse, yeah, and along that same vein. Yeah, just to continue to keep those special moments and time set aside. Like, oh my gosh, am I gonna cry about this? Yes, I probably will.

SPEAKER_01

We we need like a little scoreboard somewhere, like a tally. Maybe we could do it digitally, like number of times Gina has cried on this part for random reasons, all over the city. I'm still at zero, but I could be, I could be at like a one.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, yeah. But it does, it takes effort. Yeah, you know, it's not as easy as when you truly are dating. It's like, well, I want to like you're living in a house.

SPEAKER_01

You're yeah, when you're managing careers and kids and schedules and yeah, yeah, but that effort always pays off. And I feel like this is it sounds aspirational, and we're in a part of our life where this has gotten much easier, like older kids, you're not coordinating a babysitter every time. So I love there's somebody I follow on Instagram or something, and it's that's not even her situation. Her situation is that they like might have no family, no support where they are. Yeah. So they get really creative about like date night tonight, and she'll figure out what their menu is gonna be, and then they find a new game or they pick something special to watch. It's not just like go out, the kids went to bed, so we I guess we have time together, and it's very intentional. It's like an in-home date. So I feel like there's there's seasons of your life where this is like, oh yeah, I'll just go out every week with my spouse, not happening, right? I mean, honestly, we're kind of still in that season, like we just have younger kids, like they don't necessarily need a babysitter, yeah, but like everybody's busy, and so it's very intentional. And sometimes it needs to just be like an at-home fun activity, like put the kids to bed and then do something, or not just like fall asleep watching Netflix. That's not a date.

SPEAKER_00

And there's so many avenues, like you said, you saw this girl posted it or whatever. There's so many avenues now to I mean, ask Chat GBT what to do for an in-home date night, you know. Like, there's so many avenues to get creative.

SPEAKER_01

There's so many, yeah, resources out there. Yeah, even which like I feel like you're not game people, so I respect that. So, like, sometimes me and my husband will just like play cards and like make a fun drink or something. Yeah, I'm into like I could do a game, cards, but there's stuff you can do online. There's like murder mysteries, escape rooms.

SPEAKER_00

I would like to stop you right there and let you know that I actually am a game person. It's Ryan who is not.

SPEAKER_01

I thought you didn't like games either.

SPEAKER_00

No, I really like games. Oh yes. Like, I would love to do a murder mystery game. I couldn't.

SPEAKER_01

Well, depends on the game. Depends on the games. I don't want to play like yachts, yeah. Yeah, you don't want to have to flip too hard. I don't play chess. If it's something like we just had friends come over not that long ago, like a little murder mystery game. Love it. Yeah, it was so fun and honestly challenging. Yeah, I was like, ugh, this will be easy.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I love games. Ryan hates them.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, sorry. All right, well, come over for solo for games. Right. What else do you need? That's what I mean. Yeah. But I do think people always say like experiences with people, like making memories. So you have to remember that, like, and I'm not trying to be picky about how you date, whatever is fun for you. But like sometimes like dinner and a movie, dinner in a movie, dinner in a movie, or dinner, dinner, dinner, like do something together that makes you feel like kids again, or like you're trying something new together, like whatever, throw axes. I feel like there's all these like new things, but it is truly like when you're like laughing and making some kind of new memory where it's like, okay, we've done dinner, yeah, a thousand times. Like, that's not new or fun. But okay, so keep dating, be best friends, continue to work on that. That's not always easy. Yes. What else you got?

SPEAKER_00

I have, and this is this is actually one that I still am actively working on. Okay. But fair. Um, specifically when you're quarreling or fighting with your adorable word.

SPEAKER_01

I love quarreling.

SPEAKER_00

Remember that you're on the same team. And Ryan is actually the one who would enforce that because it we would be midway through a fight and he'd be like, We're on the same team. Right. And it's like, I was I always am like, oh yeah, I forgot. Because I I like to argue. Sometimes though. It doesn't feel that way. But be you know, my emotions get the best of me. And I think that that's very helpful to keep in perspective. Like, at the end of the day, we have the same goal. Right. We have the same goal to get through this, to have a happy, healthy marriage, to be, you know, role models for our children for what they're looking for in their spouse's like yada yada yada. Keep in mind that you are on the same team.

SPEAKER_01

I think sometimes it's easier to when the fight is about some outside thing, like this family issue that we don't agree about. It's like, yeah, it's not me versus you, it's us versus this problem. But sometimes your spouse is the problem. Right. Right, right. It's like personality stuff. Are we it is the communication, and you're like, it does not feel same team at that. It feels like me versus you, and you're not understanding me, or yeah, we don't agree on this or whatever.

SPEAKER_00

That's where I always want to be like, yeah, well, who's the coach? I'm the coach, so listen to me. This is my team. Like same team.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. It is that it is good advice though, because I feel like it's very easy to just get, especially like I feel like we both are we're arguers. Like, I mean that in the way that like we're not just like, okay, I just don't want to fight about it. Let's just agree to disagree. Yeah, like you want to say, like, are you hearing me? I have a point. You should hear it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I wake up craving an argument some days.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know if I crave them, but I don't back down. I'm like, I want eggs and a good quarrel. Like I want a jammy egg and a good fight today. Yeah. Um, okay, one of mine goes back to something you said in the dating thing, but it's say what you need. Like, don't expect that somebody's known you for 10 years and they should know. I feel like all of that uh fairy tale nonsense, as you get older, you just realize like this is so impractical. Yes. Why on earth would they know me enough to know sometimes you don't even know exactly what you're doing? You need changes, and what you need evolves and changes, and all of that. I just saw a good quote. It hurt my feelings because I hate when like quotes hit you and you're like oof. Yeah. So I saved it in my like advice mental health folder, but like I don't want to look at it again. But it's perfect for this. It said something like, I'm gonna get it wrong. It was more eloquent. Unsaid or unspoken expectations. Unspoken expectations are premeditated resentment.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, oh gosh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, you should probably say that for yourself.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But it's so true. Like, and I think sometimes when we're with somebody for longer, we think, well, they should know that about me by now. To be fair, some things, yes. But I feel like just saying, yeah, hey, I'm like a physical touch person, I need like three hugs a day, instead of being so sad that they haven't hugged you once today, is like madness. It's crazy. Yeah, and that mind melding, I know my spouse so well, I can anticipate her. That's not reality.

SPEAKER_00

That's like um movie nonsense.

SPEAKER_01

No, I'm like, he planned the perfect thing for me, he knows me so well. Like, if he knows you that well, then it's because you've been very verbal about what you need. Because imagining people walking around noticing all the things that you might need in the course of the day. And I'm not doing it.

SPEAKER_00

So to be fair, I walk around my house and say nobody's hugged me today. I need at least three hugs a day. Right. Like speak it out loud.

unknown

I do.

SPEAKER_01

As opposed to going to bed, being like, I can get one hug from these dicks today. No, I just don't they know me by now or whatever. Just like say it. Saying it doesn't take anything away from the magic of like receiving. I love that. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Boy, also still something we're working on.

SPEAKER_00

Crucial. Yeah. I have um don't put your spouse down publicly. Oh, that's a good one. And that's not that's not like you're out at a girl's dinner and you're all just kind of like, you know, lamenting or relating a lot. Yeah, venting with, you know, in your close circle of friends.

SPEAKER_01

And you list like maybe 30 to 50 things that drive you insane. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not talking about that. I just mean like in a in a public space, if they do something or whatever, like putting them down or you know, being demeaning or disrespectful of their character in like in front of them to other people is like, you know, so disparaging.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Agree. That's a really good one. I feel like we could probably go off on a whole other tangent of marriage ones. But do you want to move on to a new category so we can do a little more general advice? Um, I do have any other good ones that we want to sneak in there for marriage.

SPEAKER_00

I had one other one because it's another one that I think is important. Don't use words like always and never. I was actually told that by a therapist. That's great. Like when you're communicating, like you never blah blah blah. Always blah blah blah. Like, don't use definitive words like that.

SPEAKER_01

That's never true.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But it is a way that we make things like a bigger yeah. Like you never pay attention, you never hug me. Yes. I did two out of three, did I? I think I did okay. That's a good one. And it honestly is good for all relationships. Yeah. So like some of that stuff applies to all different relationships, but marriage certainly. And I'm a definitely. An offender. Oh, me too. That's what I mean I don't know. Never remember anything I say. Whatever. Always, never, always. That's me. Yep. Okay. So let's transition new stage of life from dating to marriage to motherhood slash parenting. And we will be speaking specifically as mothers. And we're uh almost 18, 17, I'm trying to think, 17 years into this. Um 13 years into this. So a lot of lessons learned. Still certainly taking a lot of new advice. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Two because ages and stages things get harder. Yeah. But also you're always just reminding yourself like you're not doing that well. Like you should be paying attention when they say stuff. Like, I don't know. There's all kinds of good advice out there from the people we love and also just like all around. Oh, yeah. So, what's one of your big parenthood or motherhood advice that you feel like is some of the best you've ever gotten?

SPEAKER_00

Um, this one's it's definitely gonna make me scoreboard, cry. I'm gonna try not to. Um going like early days, the mess will wait, the memories won't.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that's so good. That's one of mine too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and that was like really hard for me because you know, you feel like I gotta clean this up. Yeah, meanwhile, they're literally growing up like before your eyes, and the house is never gonna look perfect. Like, I feel like you know, if you do have a perfect house, like yeah, you're you're probably missing out on some stuff, you know, like get on the ground, play.

SPEAKER_01

Or you're superhuman because where do you find the hours in the day? Right. Yeah, yeah. That was one of mine, I think I phrased it a little differently. Oh, it was just uh hold your baby more and stop feeling guilty about the other stuff. Yeah. Because like, who wouldn't go back in time right now and like pay for 20 minutes of holding a baby again or something like your baby? I'll hold anybody's baby. I love I love when everybody has babies and then like let me hold that baby and then give it right back. Right. Yeah, it's the best. When they seem fussy, yeah, yikes it is the best. But uh, I try to say this to new mothers, and I hope it doesn't come off. Like, yeah, easy for you to say. I'm saying it because I've lived it, and now I have older kids and I'm looking backwards, going like, who cares? Right. If you have like listen, you have to function. So you should have food to eat and you should have clothes to wear and like a house that's not unsanitary. Clean enough for them to crawl around. That's what I'm saying. Some dishes in the sink, who cares? Yeah. Didn't do three loads of laundry that day. Who cares? Like that stuff I feel like I wish that I would have been better at saying, like, yeah, no, I'm gonna miss these days sometime. And it's about, I think it is about the guilt. Yeah. It's not about like, well, I'm productive and I like laundry done. It's like, if I hold this baby during her nap or during his nap or whatever, I'm not gonna get this, this, this done. That makes me look bad, or it looks like I didn't, I'm not, I'm not accomplishing as much as I should as a mother. And I'm like, oh my gosh. Release yourself of that. Yeah, some of that stuff makes me hate. I just saw a really good uh podcast clip about somebody who said, like, um, we do everything so we're so isolated that some of the stuff that we pay for is what our village would have done, you know, in like older times or in different cultures. And I feel like so much of that is true because if we had a little more like help and goes that goes by family, it's like moms, cousins, sisters, people coming over and helping you, you wouldn't feel so much pressure to like keep a clean house and have a newborn and whatever. Some of that stuff makes me sad that we're like I truly, though, if I say that to you as a new mom, like please listen. Right, yes, you will never regret holding your baby longer or just having some days where all you did was like survived as a new mom. Yes, and you're dirty, but like you held the baby and you like all that stuff.

SPEAKER_00

They sleep when they sleep, and I would think like, wait, what? But then I did. I started to not necessarily sleep, but use their nap time for just me, yeah, for what I wanted to do. And when Ava was born, Oprah was still like a thing for a little bit. And I waited my whole life to like be home and get to watch Oprah. She like retired, like you know, shortly after, but I would use like her first nap to just like you know, clean up a little bit what I felt like coffee or something. Yeah, but like sit, have a cup of coffee, and then the second nap was like I gotta watch Oprah. Like, yeah, that was you know, but you sleep when they sleep or use that time when they're sleeping for you. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like that one is definitely something that I feel like uh you wish that you could understand it better when you're in the moment. You really just can't. Yeah, just believe it. Life has to teach you. So along with that one, this one's so passe, but I feel like the days are sh long. What's the thing?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, the days are long, but the years are short.

SPEAKER_01

Years are short. So everything we just said, but also make memories, like do what you gotta do to figure out how to. I don't know. I feel like we always talk about um prioritize your time, money, whatever you need to do, knowing that you it's gonna go so fast. Yeah. So fast. And people say that, and older people would say that to me. I don't know why. I feel like every time I'm in the bathroom at church or something, there's like an older sketch, like a little pearl of wisdom. It's like embroidered on a pillow there, but it's not. I feel like they would just be one of those like quick little, like, you know, you're a new mom or you have younger kids, and an older mom would be like, Oh, just enjoy it. The days are long, the years are short. And I was like, Yeah, I gotcha. I was like, uh-huh. Man, it is so true. It's very every day that goes by, it's more true because you're like, gosh, how did that happen so fast?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I know. And uh along that same vein, what I had was live in the present, don't don't look too far in the future, yeah, which is hard to do, but you will rob yourself of the blessings of now, worrying about like, well, what's it gonna be like? And when and when they're here, when they're there, what are they like? Don't wish time away. Live for right now and enjoy the beauty of right now, and don't allow yourself to like be worried about uh about the things to come, or you know, or sometimes I think when you're going through a hard season, you're just like when they're just old enough to not do this, or when we're done with potty training, don't so fair, don't wish that away.

SPEAKER_01

So fair. We have all been there, and you're just like, can we just be on to the next phase here? But I will say this is something hopefully I will give you credit for, and if you remember, I have younger kids than you do, so you were doing motherhood first, and then also your kids were in different stages when mine were still younger. And one thing I used to really get in my head about was like, I don't want this stage to end. I don't want to not be a toddler mom or a baby mom. And I feel like this advice was very helpful to me. Like, there are new stages and they're just as magical and fun. And it's not like that this is the prime of your life and everything after is so bad. It was like, okay, but when my kids are bigger and they won't need me, then what? Then you're doing fun new things with them that like you could never do with a toddler. You're experiencing things together, you're taking them to their first this or that. So, like that was very important advice for me to hear when I was like sad about exiting a phase. So hopefully somebody else can take that. That's Gina's advice. Yeah, but I just feel like it was important for me to go, like, oh no, I see it now. Yeah, like this is a fun phase. My kids are older, we do this together. We we could never do this with little kids. Like they're just like growing as people, and then all of that is magical too. Yeah, it's not just like, oh, but remember when they were babies? Like, that's a magical time. Yeah, but there's a lot more magic to make.

SPEAKER_00

There is, and that was from my mom. She would she had to like really walk me through part of my postpartum was like uh crazy anxiety about even just like every day. Like, no, she's six days old, now she's seven days old. Like, before I know it, she's gonna be graduating.

SPEAKER_01

It's like a TRV thing, it's just like washing through your hands. You can't hold it.

SPEAKER_00

And she would say, like, you'll of course always look back fondly on these days, but every like again, oh my gosh, uh I don't want to cry through this whole episode. I feel like a tall. I feel like I'm a dog.

SPEAKER_01

We should have a little like we're like a hokey radio show with the uh sound effects, but I feel like I want like a whang.

SPEAKER_00

We're gonna need a counter on this. Um, you know, then they're talking that you know every stage, like you said, is beautiful, and she would have to really like walk me through that one.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that's good. It's good advice, and it made its way down to me too. I'm glad I appreciate that.

SPEAKER_00

I'm glad.

SPEAKER_01

Um, what else? I have parenting.

SPEAKER_00

Um, and I've said this before on a on another podcast, so I'm sorry to repeat it, but I do think it's very important advice, and and however you want to institute this, when you have kids, your whole life does not have to revolve around them in the way of if there are things that you still hold important or make you feel like no, this is who I am, this is what I like to do, you can still do that. You don't have to change who you are and everything you do, like you can create children who will adapt to situations. And if you like to go out to dinner, you can have kids that go out to dinner and know how to behave. Like it is you have the power. You don't have to feel like this is happening to me, and I just have to follow along with everything, like or like that.

SPEAKER_01

Was my old life. Now I'm a mom who has little kids, so I don't eat at nice restaurants. I don't have to do that or whatever.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, if you don't want to, don't.

SPEAKER_01

But you don't have to. Or if it's not worth the work, it has to be something that's important to you, right? You're saying, like, this is gonna be a little bit hard, but we're gonna push through because it's important to me. Right. If it's not worth the work to you, and you're just like, fine, take out. Then whatever. Yeah, we'll never go to a nice restaurant until these kids are growing or something. Yeah. But it's a good one. I like that one too. I think the only one I had that we hadn't really touched on was, and we maybe we did. Uh, somebody told me to when you're in a hard phase too, just remember like everything is phases, yeah, nothing's permanent, everything's a season. So you're going through like the thick of potty training, or you're going through, I don't know, preteen angst, whatever. Everything is a season. No matter how hard it is, it's going to pass, and there'll be a new season. But like, it's very hard to get bowed down. I remember that happening with the kids. Like, we would have them, they were sleeping good, and all of a sudden they weren't. And you're like, This is our life now. Again, we're back to this. And it would be like, it made it just been a short time. But in the moment, it felt like, oh my gosh, how am I gonna deal with this now? Like, everything is a season.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and it prepares you because you know, bigger kids, bigger problems, that whole thing. But at the end of the day, you know, if you're waiting for a point in your life where everything is just perfect and there's no problems anywhere, like don't hold your breath because that's not life. So I feel like that like stuff early on kind of prepares you for like all the constant changes that are coming. Like, you know, they don't they don't stop.

SPEAKER_01

So I was gonna say you never stop being a parent either. So your kids are adults, they're completely out of your care and you're whatever, like you're still whatever.

SPEAKER_00

So I don't know, it's not permanent, it's a season, everything's a season. You figure it out and you move on. Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_01

I think that was my last one for motherhood parenting. Do you have any more you want to throw in there? Uh before we move on to a new category.

SPEAKER_00

You don't have to have all the answers, which we've talked about before.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's okay to say, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, or let's ask somebody else. Yeah, there is a no manual. Or I might not be the best person to talk to you about that. Yeah, yeah. Still struggling over here. Yes. That's a good one. I like that too. Um, okay, how about some more just like generic general? This is for you. It can be for relationships, for your own mental health, well-being. What's some good advice that's really stuck with you? Just generic.

SPEAKER_00

Um, one thing I've heard my whole life, I think everyone's always heard it, but just I guess a gentle reminder: don't sweat the small stuff. And uh why is it so hard? And why do we need these reminders? But truly, like, there are so many things throughout the day where something will happen and it'll just immediately irritate me. And I do, I have to remind myself like, in the grand scheme of things, this is so insignificant, but it truly does play such a part on your overall health and your stress levels and all of that. Like, if you are able to keep that context and say, like, this is something very small, I need to just move on.

SPEAKER_01

Why isn't that magic where you do have that context? I feel like that's sometimes this personality where some people are like, eh, what is this really? Yeah, I don't have that, me neither. So I need like a pop-up reminder out of it. Seriously. It's so it's like a t-shirt.

SPEAKER_00

A tale as old as as time, but like I have to keep telling myself, yes. Right. Okay, that's a good one.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I'm gonna take us on a positive one. I like this one. I've seen it in social media recently, but also I was sitting in like a church class, it was like a seminar or something a couple years ago, and somebody said this, and I really loved it. And I feel like you hear um in a negative context, you hear like if you see something, say something. Like if somebody's being bullied or something's making you uncomfortable, see something, say something. But we were talking about it in a positive way. Yeah, anything that you see in a person that is good or that has made your day better. And I just saw a cute social media post about it, and hers were kind of trite. They were like, if the um barista is like super friendly or whatever, like say something. And this one I love because it is again maybe not my nature or not, maybe the way I was like brought up or something. I don't walk around the world saying, like, girl, I like those shoes, or like you are such a helpful, whatever, customer service agent. It usually tends to be the other stuff where you're like learn how to do your job under your breath. So that one I feel like is something I'm personally gonna work on. I love it. It's been like in my uh what's the like zone of awareness for a while, and I feel like it maybe it keeps coming up because I need to remember it. A compliment goes a long way, yeah, and it can be all different things. Not that you're looking for something small to just just do it or check a list, but there's so many people in the course of a day where like if you just said anything nice at all, yeah, literally would make a difference for that person in their day. So why on earth would we not like just I don't know. That's one of those things for me where it's like it's so small. Like, what is your problem? Just do it. It's right with you.

SPEAKER_00

I know I love that. I actually did it the other day. Um, I mean, I I enjoy giving compliments, especially like fashion-wise, just because it's what I'm like aware of. But um, we love hungry habibi.

SPEAKER_01

And I don't know that you Oh yeah, it's like uh local, um, for people who aren't local, yeah. Take out like Mediterranean.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like Mediterranean, and it's like different bowls, and it's it's interesting because you can get rice, you can get like bulgar weed, and just all different. It's when I tell you, we order from there more often than I would like to say. Yeah, every single time the bowls are jam-packed, they are fresh, they have never missed a thing. Like they they just are on point. So one of the times I was like, you know what? I think I'm gonna call, I'm gonna call Mr. Habibi and I'm gonna I'm gonna tell him. And I called uh-huh and I said, you know, we just got a DoorDash from you guys. I you probably don't get a lot of like, you know, calls. I think it's the opposite, right? Right. So I would just like to tell you guys, and she was like, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, uh, can I give you to the owner? Because he's here. And I was like, sure. So she gave, he cried. He cried on the phone. He's like, This means so much to me. I'm trying so hard, and they're opening up another location right like by us. Okay. And I'm like, I will be your biggest fan. Like, you guys do such a good job. But just that little phone call. He literally cried. Oh, I love that, right?

SPEAKER_01

Mr.

SPEAKER_00

Habibi. So good.

SPEAKER_01

And for whatever five bad calls that you expect in the course of a day, like you guys forgot my sauce or whatever, that one probably is like the takeaway for the city.

SPEAKER_00

Because I do feel like, hey, for somebody who's getting it right like that, they should, they should be scaring.

SPEAKER_01

And I don't know why. Again, I feel like maybe it's my nature, but I feel like I don't know why I don't think of that as being important enough to like put intention or time into yeah. So I don't know. I'm like a real checklist person. I feel like I need to have like a thing on my daily thing. That's like, did you say not three nuts and okay? Not that it's about checking the list, it's about like this is good for you, it's good for them, it's good for the world. Good heavens. Like everybody out there needs something positive in the course of their day because it's it's crazy. I love that one. All right, that was my if you see something, say something positive.

SPEAKER_00

Love it. I have um you become what you think.

SPEAKER_02

Ooh.

SPEAKER_00

Which I think can go either way, you know. You can if you find yourself a lot of times thinking, you know, negatively or you know, yeah, but and who you surround yourself with, all of that. But I also think on the positive, like, you know, if you tell yourself, like, no, I am a person who moves my body, is intentional with what I'm eating, or you know, whatever you want to accomplish in life, like you become what you think. Yeah, it's not just you are what you eat, you're like you become what you think, who you surround yourself with. And I think it's very important to kind of take power over what you're feeding your inner self, the thoughts that you're thinking, and and then even taking a step farther and like verbalizing it or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like that was a big thing. And um, did you ever read Atomic Habits, that book? Like it was really popular.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't read it. I listened to it on audiobook in the car with Ryan Against My Will. No, I didn't. It's so boring. It's so boring.

SPEAKER_01

Self-improve. It's really good, but it's so boring. All right, I got partway through it, and I hate that that's like the the end of it because I refer so many times to the part I did read. Yeah, it's so good that I'm like, what is wrong with you? Finish the book. But one of his things is like, yeah, you don't you don't say like I'm trying to stop smoking or I'm going to be healthier. You say like, I'm a person who moves my back. I'm a person who won't put anything in their body that knows it's like whatever. And it was like about you, you're not becoming. You are. Like you are say that you are, because your body and mind are like, We are. Oh, good to know. Let's do those things. Not like, yeah, I'm gonna work on it. And then it almost gives you an out to totally. Totally, yeah, not think about it, not work on it, whatever.

SPEAKER_00

For the longest time, I used to like um admi, I shouldn't say envy, but admire people who could wake up early and you know accomplish some of the goals that they had set out to do because you do have so much more time in your day. But I would always just say, like, I'm not a morning person, I'm not a morning person, and and truly I am not. Yeah, I'm still a night owl. Yes. But to accomplish some of the goals that I set out to accomplish, I just started doing it and saying, no, I can get up at this time. I get up at this time, this is the time I get up. And now, like, I find myself getting up. And even though I'm like tired and still want to lay in bed, in my head I say, like, no, this is the time I get up. Like, you know, you really can't, you can do that.

SPEAKER_01

You know, like you can, and it's not that you're uh none of that can be changed. Like I'm the kind of I'm a night owl or whatever. It's like right, but if I work on this, yes, I will not be.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's actually solidate. It's exciting to think about it that way. Yeah, right. Like you're not limited by whatever, anything really.

SPEAKER_01

Um oh, my next one, how funny. This was random. It was actually from the same book. But I love his example. Like, so much work that you're doing, consistency, is unseen. Yeah. Not unseen by other people. Like, you will not see results, but it's still every much, every bit is worth of like uh I think his example is like an ice cube sitting in a room. So it can be, oh shoot, do I remember what what I'm trying to remember? The freezing point in Fahrenheit. It's like 30 degrees. I was like Celsius, zero. Okay. It can be uh 30. I'm trying to go the right direction. I'm gonna stop it. It's going warmer? I don't know. Let me think about it for a second because I don't want to say the wrong thing. Every degree that that room changes matters because it's creeping towards melting or whatever. None of those degrees do you see a puddle of water until you hit that like crucial, but every degree on that like climb or whatever, whichever way you want to look at it, melting, freezing, every single degree mattered. So sometimes it's just one more day of this, one more day of that. You don't see any change, right? And then you hit some kind of like, okay, now I see results or whatever, and every single one of those days mattered kind of thing. It's one of the ones that hurts my feelings because everything's gotta be like, I don't know, I get a salad. You know, like there's all these funny memes, right? Okay, salad, and then we have through a walk, yeah, and the scale is the same. We're not allowed to do either of those things right now. I know don't walk outside, don't eat salad. Don't eat salad, don't walk. Not the way you want to. But I feel like there's so many of those memes because everything's about like if you don't see results, you're immediately like discouraged. Yeah. Like, well, this isn't working. I should try something else. And it's like, no, maybe five more days or three more days or ten more days of that. Yeah. Whatever it is. I like the example of that. Yeah, too bad I couldn't get my science head around which way I wanted to go there with the degrees. But you understand the you understand the analysis. But I was like, maybe I shouldn't like just drop all that. This is not my strong point. I was like, zero Celsius. Forget this. Stop talking.

SPEAKER_00

All right. Um, the last kind of just rando one I have um was something that my uh coach back in the day when I was playing sports would say, but I take it with me in life is don't leave anything on the mat. Where she would say mat, because that's where we were, but or don't leave anything on the court, don't leave anything on the field. And it was something that I preached to Ava when you know. She decided that her journey was done, like, but a lot or her sports journey, I should say. Um, just in life, no regrets, like anything that you do, do it to the best of your ability. And in your mind, try to think like when I walk away from this, whatever it is, yeah. If I didn't get to do A, B, and C, like, will I regret that? Just try to never have regrets and don't leave anything out there. Don't leave things unsaid. Don't leave, you know, don't leave a room without saying that you love, or don't leave a loved one without saying I love you. Like, just thinking, and not make it a negative thing, but just think in what will I walk away from this situation feeling bad that I wasn't able to do or accomplish or say. Right. Um, I think is an important uh thing to carry in life to feel like no, like I I gave I gave that my all. I gave it my all.

SPEAKER_01

And you can say, like, no regrets, whatever the outcome was, or whatever. That's a really good one. I like that. Yes. Um, I have a couple more, but I'm trying to think which one I really like. Ooh, this one I really like. I'm gonna say it to you because I've said it to you before. Uh-oh. You get what you tolerate. Yeah. And I'm gonna use the uh my kids as an example, but my one of my kids, I'm gonna be really careful with names. One of my kids has a friend who always like will like scapegoat her, like, oh, Aria, that's your fault. I already said my kid's name. Aria, it's your fault. Aria, you know, whatever, whatever. And I'm like, well, that's interesting. Does she do that to your other friends? She's like, no, she always chooses me to like, oh, this is Aria did that, or Aria, this, ah, whatever. I'm trying to think of like an example. You she broke something, she did, and it might not even be true, but she'll use her. Yeah. And I'm like, that's funny that she doesn't use anybody else, just you, huh? And she's like, no. And I'm like, have you ever said anything about it? Like in the moment, not like come home and complain to me about it, but like say, like, it wasn't me. And like, I it's really uncool that you're saying it was my fault. Yeah. I didn't say that, whatever the thing is. You know, you can imagine 11-year-old girls, whatever. She's like, No, because then she'll be bad. And I'm like, stop. I don't want to hear any more about this because I love you, but whatever you're tolerating is what she'll continue to do. True. And there's a reason if she hasn't done it to the other girls because they would stand up for themselves, or they would say, like, that's not true, or they would fight back. If you're the one who's not gonna fight, you're the easiest one. So you either stand up for yourself and say no more, or I don't want to hear these stories anymore because it breaks my heart. Like whatever you're tolerating is gonna continue, and and not that it's your fault, but you're allowing it. Yeah, you're allowing it. So you can't complain time after time after time because it I don't want to hear it because I'm your mom and it hurts my feelings. But but what I'm seeing is you have some agency that you're not taking kind of thing. So I feel like that's you know, good for me too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's good for you, but it's uh it's nice for her to learn that lesson, you know, a little earlier in life because it's not like it stops, but like yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's what I mean. I feel like there's areas in my life where it's like, well, why do they treat me that way, or why am I the go-to, or whatever you permit is what'll continue. And unless you've said, like, hold up, let's talk about this. I'm not good with this. Then like to their credit, they don't know what's a problem either. You know what I mean? If a kid's like whatever blaming you, or they know better. But I'm saying, like, if you're the easy scapegoat or you're the easy one to whatever, then go for it. Yeah, it's easier. So that's a tough one. I'm working on that. That is a tough one. With kids, but also as an adult, saying, like, oh, why am I always the punching bag? Or why you know what I mean? Like it does not go away when you're 13. So and one more comparison is the thief of joy. Oh, yeah, that's so true. That's very true, very true. Very hard, very true. Very true. Do you have any more generic ones?

SPEAKER_00

Uh, one just came to mind while you were talking, kind of like um along the lines of no one is allowed to, nobody has power over your feelings. Like nobody, nobody should be able to offend you. Yeah, or you are the one who decides to be mad, and yes, they can't make you anything, kind of thing. Always remember that you hold that power, and I'm speaking to myself as well, but I shouldn't allow anybody to destroy my peace or my beliefs or my confidence. Like you can say what you want, and I have the power to process that in the way that I process it. Yeah, and if I allow that to offend me, I mean, hey, yeah, it's not on them, that's on you.

SPEAKER_01

It's a really good visual to think like you are you're giving somebody else like access or control to your feelings or something, and like uh as hard as it is to really adapt that, and like it is it is empowering to think like, well, that can only bother me to the extent that I allow it.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, if you think of it in that way of being empowered by that rather than like, well, they said this and they said that, and if they wouldn't have said it, I would. Yeah, but that's never gonna happen. Right. So take your power back, and you know, you are the one who is allowing what offends you or what you know hurts your feelings or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

It's a good one. I like that one too. Okay. I mean, I think we did it. I think we made everybody's lives better with our advice.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, I do have some like random fashion. Oh, yes, yeah. I don't know. That's a fun way to end fashion. We'll end on a couple fashion ones. Do it. Um, as a mom, I would like to say that my number one fashion tip would be that when you're dr when you're dressing yourself, a good thing to keep in mind is um things shouldn't shouldn't be low cut, tight, and short. Pick one.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you're talking about as a mom dressing or helping your kids.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, yeah, low cut, tight. Are you gonna bend over? Right.

SPEAKER_01

If it's gonna be like low-cut and tight, just be very judicious about like if you're if you're walking a line somewhere, maybe not in three categories. Walk all three lines. Yeah, keep that in mind. All right, mom's and daughters, daughters.

SPEAKER_00

Um always put your own spin on outfits. Never try to replicate anyone's style to the point where like you show up and it's you know, head to toe. Like put your own spin. Like use it for inspiration or just copy. There are things that are in style, there are trends, so like for the most part, you're gonna see similarity. You know what I mean? But try to put your own spin on things to make there's so many cool ways to make your outfits authentically you like personalize things. Have fun with that. Not all trends are for everyone, dress for your body. There's so many things that I see, and now that I'm older, I'll go. I did. I felt I fell into so many trends, and I'll look back and I'll go, oh, I really did not pull that off at all. And fashion is fun, it's subjective, it's your form of you know expression and art, but you don't fall for every trend.

SPEAKER_01

Dress for what complements your body, and sometimes that yeah, or what if I could take it away from the body thing and just say what makes you genuinely feel good? Like you're looking in the mirror saying, like, this is me. Yes, I feel good, I'm excited to walk out the door or something, as opposed to like, well, they said this is in, I'm gonna give it a try. Right? Yeah, and then the whole time you're self-conscious or something.

SPEAKER_00

When I say your body, I mean more like, okay, so I'm taller. Yeah. So when I think that, I think like right now they're or not right now, but maybe a little, maybe a couple years ago, the trend was like short some shorter pants. And I would just look and be like, they just look like flups. Like I tried on pants and they didn't quite make it. They look like flops. Or my sister-in-law will say, like, well, I can't wear these certain things, you know, because my legs are shorter or whatever. Like, and while I think that she could and she would look great, like you do have to be a little mindful. Not every trend is created for everyone. So, like, you see something and it's like, yeah, that looked great on you, but on me, like, I don't have to wear it just because it's in style.

SPEAKER_01

Like, if it's take the inspiration, what the trend is, maybe shorter pants than that work.

SPEAKER_00

Figure it out, figure out a see if you can tweak it a little for yourself. Yes, but there were so many times where I like look back and I'm like, just because it was in style, I wore it, and it just did looked that.

SPEAKER_01

And that doesn't even just go for fashion, it's like everything. It's we I keep lamenting my like tiny lined eyebrows and stuff, and like that was the style, so everybody did it. And you don't have the foresight to think, like, but I'm 45, I really want eyebrows.

SPEAKER_00

Please remind me, I found a picture of me and you in the car with Brett. Oh. And I was like putting on makeup or something. You were in the backseat. I don't remember if I zoomed in on your brows or not, but I zoomed in on mine to show Ava. Uh-huh. She just wrote back, ew. Like my eyebrows were but we were so cool.

SPEAKER_01

We were doing exactly what was on trend. It was so bad. Oh my gosh. It's that's really hard though, don't you think? As especially as like a parent, of like you see your kids making choices that are like trendy, and you're walking that line of saying, like, that's not for everybody. Or you look so stupid. I know. I'm sorry. You sucks with the sandals, you gotta just let them do it. I know socks and crocs. Socks and Yeezy. Just had a such a hard conversation about socks and cracks the other day, like ruined my kids' life probably.

SPEAKER_00

Just crocs in general, but I mean, cracks are already bad enough.

SPEAKER_01

But then I feel like treat them like sandals, they have holes in them, but socks and cracks. Yes. And I'm just like, you're gonna look back and be like, This is so stupid. I know. But like I can't tell you're stupid now. Nope. I'm just with this ride. I do. This is my tiny. I try to, but then you're like, you don't know anything about anything. And I'm like, I know. Right? I know. I'm so uncool because I think that that looks absolutely ridiculous. Because it does.

SPEAKER_00

But like just wait. And it's white. It's my kids. Not so much Ava anymore, but Gianni, it's white side like a middle. Black Easy's. All right. It's like, yeah, okay. All right. All right. Easy slides, I should say. Yeah, like the sandals. Yeah. And the last one I'll throw out to end with is dress, dress for the occasion. Can we bring this back? Please dress for the occasion.

SPEAKER_01

We were talking about how nobody will get dressed up for anything anymore or dress appropriately for a situation. Yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

If you're going to a the theater. The theater.

SPEAKER_01

Also pick up your popcorn bucket when you're done.

SPEAKER_00

Do that as well, but just have some um respect and dress dress for the occasion.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I love that one. Because I do feel like everything just starts to feel the same, same, same. Like just go jeans, jeans, jeans everywhere, whatever it is. I don't know. Gray sweatpants, pajamas. Nothing special anymore.

SPEAKER_00

Let's bring back dressing for the occasion.

SPEAKER_01

And if you don't want to, don't go. Stay home. If you don't want the experience of the theater, maybe just watch that on video. Stay home. In your living room. Alright. That's all we did. We did it. Okay. So we should say uh we got a lot of um good interaction this week on some of our social media posts. Some not so super interaction too, which we can talk about in another episode. Definitely triggered some people. But if you don't follow us on Instagram or Facebook, please make sure not just to like like us or comment on a video, but make sure you're following us and then absolutely comment. Yeah or repost things. We love that. It is is super cool to see, especially when we don't know you personally. We're not like, oh, they love us, they're trying. When you see somebody else like resonated with something and they repost it or they comment, that's really cool. So please find us out there and do that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and repost our reels. That won't, you know, show up or anything on your particular grid or whatever. Like, but if something resonates and you think it's funny, that would help that would help with our engagement.

SPEAKER_01

It is cool to see how easily you can grow when people just kind of like interact with your yeah social media or whatever. So if you haven't done that yet, make an effort this week. We would love that.

SPEAKER_00

We appreciate you.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you guys always for being here.

SPEAKER_00

So and thanks for stopping by and we'll see you later. See you next time.
