Tonight we’re stepping into the unknown—night vision on, bunker vibes activated, and the sky FULL of questions. 👀🛸 I’ve got my son with me for a super fun episode all about cryptids, aliens, and the weirdest things people claim to have seen in the woods and in the sky. From Bigfoot hiding in the bushes to UFOs watching from above…we’re talking theories, sightings, and what we’d do if we actually came face to face with something not-from-here. 👽🌲

Have a weird story? Email us at Letsgetweirdishpod@gmail.com

There's something about talking about cryptids and aliens that does something to your brain, because you can be the most logical person on earth and hear one story, then go, okay, um, wait, hold on. It's not even always the big dramatic details that get me. It's the little things people always say, like how the woods suddenly go quiet. How the air feels different. That heavy feeling in your stomach, like something is close even though you can't see anything. It makes you think about how much of this world we don't understand how many places exist that nobody really goes. How much land there is, where something could live and never be found. How many people have seen something they can't explain then keep it to themselves because they don't want to sound crazy. So today we're going there, me and Reid. Cryptids aliens, all of it. I'm your host, Amanda, and welcome back to Let, let's get Weirdish. Let's, Hey Reid. Hey mom. How old are you? I'm 10. Almost 11. Almost 11. What's your favorite thing to talk about? Um, aliens. Aliens. You have a favorite show that talks about aliens. What's that? Skin Walker Ranch. Mm-hmm. I don't like to use the word skin walker, though. I always say flush pedestrians just so they don't come. Get me. Flush pedestrians. Flush pedestrians. why do you like Skin Walker Ranch so much. It's a really good show and it's about aliens. Mm-hmm. So what do they do on there? They try to figure out if aliens are real or not. Mm-hmm. They've caught a bunch of UFOs though. Yeah. What are they usually doing? Just flying around. Mm-hmm. And going in and out of Meses. Yeah. Isn't that weird? Yes. I wonder how they go into the Mesa and outta the Mesa like that? They probably get a button inside of a ship. A button to open a ship to open borders. Mm-hmm. You know, a lot of UFOs have been seen going in and out of the ocean. Yeah. UAPs. Mm-hmm. Do you think they have a base down there? Probably looking for one. Mm-hmm. So what's your favorite cryptic Bigfoot. Bigfoot. Who got you started on the Bigfoot granddaddy. Granddaddy did? Mm-hmm. Granddaddy even got you a special gift. One birthday. What was that? A big, uh, cutout of Bigfoot? Mm-hmm. Made of metal? Yeah. How do, how tall was that thing? Over five foot tall, I think. Yeah. And it was all rusted up. So it looked like Bigfoot too. Mm-hmm. You remember that time that somebody pulled in our driveway and came and knocked on the door asking to buy it from us? Yeah. We refused. Yeah, we refused. They offered us a pretty good bit of money too. Oh, yeah. Uh, it wasn't happening. Nope. Mm-hmm. Not even for a million. What was your Bigfoot's name, or what is his name? Herman. Mm-hmm. He's up in storage. He's in storage. Granddaddy would always call and ask us what Herman was doing and talk about Herman's, Texas cousins, Henrietta, and I cannot remember the other one's name. I don't know. I always wanna say Josephine for some reason, but I don't think that was it Josephine? That's what he called dad's friends. Josephine. Have you ever seen Bigfoot? No. Who did though? Granddaddy. Granddaddy did. Do you wanna tell that story? Yeah. He was in a bus and he, he was a bus driver. He retired from farming and He looked out his window what do he, you think he saw was a bear? And he told the kids to look out, their windows.'cause he was excited to show them. The bear turned around, walked into the forest. He said it walked like a human. Yeah. That, I think that's what got him started. Yeah, I think so too. Because he was serious, right? Yeah. my granddaddy was a teller of tall tales, but he was, he was pretty for real about this one. Like maybe he said it looked just like a bear. Maybe 50% of his stories were uh, uh, real probably. But he said it just walked off into the woods. Yeah. He said, bears can't walk like that. And it kind of scared him, didn't it? Yeah. Yeah. So I think he saw him for reals. Mm-hmm. And he always make me sit down in his chair and let, let me listen to him, uh, talk about Bigfoot, you know, in Farmville, the park over there. They think there's a big foot and several people have seen it. And then, what was it like two years ago they had announced, um, that the first person who would get a picture of whatever they're seeing out there, they would give a cash reward to. I wonder how much it was. I don't remember. But Nana sent it to me and she was like, I read this to your granddaddy. And I told her, I said, we're just gonna have to come home and go out there and try to get a picture of Bigfoot. Our granddaddy's gonna uh, have to get pick up Truit to help him go drive around town to try to find him. That's right. That's your Miss Granddaddy. Yeah. I miss his stories. I'll have to find the letters that we've written to each other about Herman. Yeah. And read'em on on the podcast. What do you think? Yeah, we should remember the one he wrote about how, um, he found roadkill and he was gonna pack it and mail it to us. That letter. Yeah. Y'all want this kill? So if your favorite crypt is Bigfoot, do you think that he's inter-dimensional or he's just really good at hide and seek? Probably that probably, yeah. Probably. Because I wonder how, you know, if Bigfoot's real, how they don't find any like bodies after they pass away or that nobody's been able to like, catch'em. Maybe Bigfoot's, uh, bury'em. They may bury'em. Who knows? They've been around for a long time, I think. Mm-hmm. A lot of people, they've been around since the Indians, I'm pretty sure. Yeah. Native American people. Yeah. Um, a lot of people think that Bigfoot's interdimensional and can just go in and out of our reality and that's how nobody can catch'em. No. You don't think so? No. If, if he could, he'd be looking like intelligent. Got all the, uh, futuristic stuff on about Harry. Well, they, they, they gotta be pretty smart to stay hidden from us. Well, they're, uh, covered in hair and brown. They could probably blend in with the trees. That's true. But after seeing that orangutan at the zoo the other day, I mean, it could be just overgrown orangutan. You should, you should put that on your, TikTok page of, uh, let Get Weirdish. That thing was goofy. Yeah, he was goofy. And he had his legs stretched all the way up. So his, the top of the head. Yeah, it was like above his head. Yeah. I wish I was that flexible. Oh, I can't, I've never even been able to do the splits. I've never even been able to spread my legs out there very far. Rip you noons right now. Like, so I went down a Reddit deep dive and found all kinds of crypted and alien stories to read to you. Yes. So do you wanna get, do any of them believe that the aliens, made the pyramids? Uh, I don't know. But tell us your theory on the pyramids. How the heck did little regular people? Uh, ancient. No, no. Egypt People Egyptians carry 5,000 pounds of just straight rock? I don't know. And maybe for the bottom layer, they could have tons of people like picking it up and carrying it. Well, they were only like, like as big as dad's truck, so they can't they couldn't have much people down there. Well, I don't know. I mean, some people say they could have just all like picked it up and maybe made some type of conveyor type thing to unload'em. But even still, once they started getting. Pretty high up there. How would they have gotten those to the top? Who knows. And they were carrying'em. Carrying them for miles too, right? Or even make'em perfectly squared. They probably in the exact same size. Yeah. They probably got some like trailers or something, or made some like ropes or something to pick'em up and put'em on their trailers. Mm-hmm. And then the people would pull the trailers. Yeah. So how did they stack'em? I don't know. What's your theory? Physics. Physics maybe. So now what you told me earlier, aliens. Aliens, how do you think aliens would've gotten it stacked? How the heck do they abduct us up to their ship? I don't know. Some people think they don't, some people think that people are dreaming that they're abducted, but they're beam could probably pick up the rocks and mm-hmm. Put'em down. Well, you got to talk to somebody who knows Travis Walton not long ago, right? Yeah. My friend. Mm-hmm. My friend's grandpa. Yeah. And so if y'all don't know who Travis Walton is, he was abducted from the, um, supposedly, supposedly in the Apache site, graves National Forest, and that's where we used to go camping and paddle boarding and stuff a lot when we were in Arizona. Yeah. And it was very popular up there. Mm-hmm. There's actually a documentary on it, on Discovery Plus, I think it's on Discovery Plus. It's that, or HBO Max, Amazon. I think it's Amazon or Discovery Plus. Yeah. I believe his story because he had all those workers with him who were freaking out, right? Yeah. They saw him going towards this thing. They, they warned him not to. Right. They take off, they leave him, they go back, he's gone. They can't find the craft, they can't find him. And he's just gone. Yeah. And he showed up days later outside of town, calls from a payphone and is freaked out. And they went and did all kinds of testing on him, and all the guys swore they saw this craft. Yeah. I think that was the most famous, uh, UFO siding of in the World. I don't know. Barney and Betty Hill. That's a pretty, pretty famous one. You'll, that got abducted. You'll have to tell me about that one. Yeah. We'll have to, we'll have to talk about that one another time. But I believe Travis Walton was abducted. Yeah. All those men saw something. Yep. It scared him to death. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Do you want me to read you a story on Reddit? Yeah. This is a Crypted story. Oh. This is from Word blender. So this happened to my son when he was 17 years old. We lived in New Mexico at the time. My son, Cody, was riding along with his friends, drew and Alex. They were in Drew's truck and Drew was driving. It was night and they were heading to Drew's house. Drew lived out in the country, so the road they were on was isolated and surrounded by desert. In fact, the whole area is flat and mostly dirt, which it is. We've drove through New Mexico so many times. Mm-hmm. There's nothing but nothing but dried up dirt. Mm-hmm. And plants. Right As they were driving along, they see a man standing in the middle of the road. Drew slows and they all expect the guy to move off to the side. The guy doesn't move, he just stands there. Drew slows to a stop. The guy standing just outside the light from the headlights. He's wearing jeans and some sort of long sleeve shirt. They couldn't make out the features of the guy's face. but they could tell he was facing them. Nobody moves for a few seconds. The kids start to talk about going around him, but they aren't sure if they should pass this guy or just turn around and go another way. Suddenly the guy drops on all fours and starts running towards the truck. All the kids starts screaming and drew slams the truck into reverse and floors it. Now they're going backwards on this dark country road and the guy is chasing them on all fours and keeping pace with the truck. he better know how to do a 360 and throw that thing into gear. I'm telling you, he's like, gotta be like mater the world's best backwards driver. Like, yeah, like Mater Drew goes faster, and finally the guy drops out of sight. Drew turns the truck around and they all came back to our house. I was in the living room when they came in. They were running and they slammed the door and locked it, and they went tearing up the stairs to Cody's room. I went up to see what was going on, and this is what they told me. I've never seen them so pale and frightened, and they were all completely freaked out. This happened on a Friday night around 8:00 PM These were kids who would normally rather be anywhere except for home on a weekend. That weekend they stayed at our place the whole time. they didn't go out at all and only left because they had school on Monday. It took a month before they wanted to go out at night again, they would go anywhere during the day, but at night they usually gathered at our house. What do you think about that? Well, I think that's a werewolf. I don't know. Sounds like a flesh pedestrian to me. Oh my God. It could be. So you think a werewolf? Oh no, wait, the, they are in Mexico. I don't know what a chupa copper is. Let's zip it up. But I don't think that they're people. Chupacabra is one of the most, uh, famous Mexican, crypted. Okay. So they're known for attacking livestock and, okay. So it's a legendary Latin American creature known for attacking livestock, particularly goats and draining their blood through puncture wounds. Let's see what it looks like often described as a reptilian. So you're off the mark on that one by a long shot bud. Well, uh, locals describe it as like a dog. So how could that be a man? I'm just saying. I'm just saying it could, yeah, it could be a, a flush of trill, whatever. Whatever you said. this one's weird. Okay. Is it alien? No. This one's from Cosmic Pube. Cosmic Pube. When I was little, like five or six, we went to a park near our house that had a pond. I was always fascinated with the small creatures, water bugs, fish, algae, everything. So I was squatting down, staring at this incredible little universe, completely enchanted with it all. Suddenly something green came out of the water and grabbed my little shoe and pulled it. It happened in an. My foot slid forward into the water and I fell back onto my butt. It was back in the water with a tiny splash as fast as lightning. I blinked, then got up and ran to my mom saying something, grabbed my foot and tried to pull me into the water. My mother tried to console me saying, my foot probably slipped in the muck, but I know the truth. So heads up to anyone who lives in Milwaukee. The pond in Cozy Park on seventh and Lincoln. Somebody commented back and said, this happened to me at Brandywine River in Delaware. I was sitting on a dock with my feet dangling over it, and something grabbed my foot and yanked me in. It pulled me hard enough to scrape my legs against the dock. My parents grabbed me and pulled me out. Nobody believed that. I didn't just fall in. They said it wasn't possible. What do you think that is? I have no idea. That's pretty freaky. I was thinking a mermaid, but I don't know. I don't know. It didn't say a hand. It said this like green thing. Didn't granddaddy always talk of like a sea monster? I think maybe Granddaddy's always talked about all kinds of things. I don't know. I don't either. I can't even remember. Sounds like a swamp monster to me. Yes, A swamp monster. I think that's what he talked about. It hit under the docks. Here's another one from a deleted user. My grandmother had a story from the late fifties driving north on a paved two lane road. It was lined with small trees and brush. She was with my great aunt and one of my uncles, who was about two years old at the time, and I was in the back. They rounded a turn while climbing a series of switchbacks up a hill. Now, this is from memory because she passed away about seven years ago. As they approached something was standing beside the road down a couple of feet in a ditch, but it was still taller than the car by a couple of feet. When her sister sees this, she grabbed her by her arm and yells, look Barbara, it's a bear. And she replied, that ain't no bear. It stood there as they passed It looked like a very large, hairy man with hair all over its face. Only its ears, lips and eyelids lacked hair. But what struck here as most interesting is that it had or appeared to have no neck. its head sat upon its shoulders in a strange way. While watching them. It turned its whole body and its hair was brown and matted like a stray dog. After they passed, she watched it in the rear view mirror and it stepped out onto the road and one more step, it cleared the road and into the ditch on the other side. Within three steps, it had cleared nearly 20 feet. I believe it the whole time. She said her sister was holding her arm. Crying and jabbering away like a mental patient and that they had both peed themselves in their seats. That's pretty freaky I believe that. That I do too. Two, two steps and 20 feet. Mm-hmm. That you gotta have some long legs. I would think so. Listen to this one. This is from Mosha Moha, my entire childhood. My father and I used to take late night walks due to his insomnia from shift work. Our neighborhood is considered very safe and ultimately was in an urban neighborhood besides one of the roads towards the back of the neighborhood being lined with thick forest for about a mile and a quarter deep, which made a circle back in itself. All of these walks were very dear memories of mine except one, and it ended up being our last along the road with the tree line. There was a single street light to illuminate, a small plot of land that someone owned, but was very overgrown and ill kept. It was very common for us to walk this road to enjoy the sounds of the forest. The lack of illumination and the ease of circling back made it the easiest way to go. One ordinary night, as we were walking and making conversation, my father abruptly stops and pulls me close, puts a hand over my mouth and crouch with me and points towards a single illuminated plot, roughly a hundred yards away. At first, I didn't see anything and thought he was pulling my leg, but just as I began to protest his grasp, I see a very small humanoid figure, roughly three feet in height, scrawny. With long limbs materialize out of the plot's brush line and cautiously taken its surroundings before signaling towards the brush. After a few seconds, two other small humanoid figures materialize as well. After a brief moment of what looked like to be a discussion, all three make a dash for the forest in the tree line. Once this happened, my father picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and made a break for our home, which was roughly half a mile back. Mind you, my father is six foot 5, 220 pounds, and I was roughly 120 pounds at this time, and he never showed signs of slowing due to his fear and adrenaline after this night. We never took late night walks again. He doesn't want to discuss it and made it clear he never wants to. Those figures still give me chills to this day I don't know what that could be. I don't know. You think it could be like alien, like little aliens or something else? Mm. I don't know. Oh, those things that you're talking about. Just a little bit ago, the things that come, when you talk about your crypted, that you saw those tall people with the coats and the side pad and the Yeah, but they said this thing's like three feet tall. So that's shorter than Stella. What state? It doesn't say Okay. Because if it's Russia or no, if it's Ireland, no. Or little gremlins. Yeah, gremlins could be, but it says they were, let's see, that says A. I was like Mexico, so probably gremlins. Where are you getting your information from? I don't know. Do you make it up as you go? No, just scrolling through movies every night. Oh, okay. So these gnomes are usually, they describe'em as being short and chubby. This was long scrawny, long limbs. Long limbs. Mm-hmm. Sounds kind of alien to me. Oh, gremlin they got, uh, stretched out. There's three of'em. Three three of them probably aliens. Yeah. Who knows. Or some aliens that just get crash landed and they, uh, hit their bulletproof windshield. Because they're going hyper speed, you know? Yeah. And they crash and it just makes'em real short. And they're just running around with little do could be, here's a, here's a military one. This is from Unusual Sailor. It was a quiet day in the tower because it was so windy that none of the squadrons wanted to fly. The gusts were so strong that you'd see birds trying to fly and they'd get thrown back by the wind. none of us were paying a lot of attention to the airfield until one of our coworkers said, Hey, what the heck is that? None of us looked up. We were all on our phones because it was so dead that day. Probably a bird. One of my other coworkers said. Then the first coworker said, guys, look, that's not a freaking bird. We all looked up at what was hovering outside, and none of us knew what the heck it was. This thing was hovering in place and the 30 to 40 knot wind, and it wasn't even a factor. It was polygonal in shape and had four faces, but the faces were more like an elongated hexagon. It was dark, grayish black, too large to be a hobby drone or something like that. Everyone in that tower was stunned. Then this thing zips off with a speed that doesn't make any sense towards one of the squadron hangers. Then zips to the shoreline, which is roughly a mile and a half away, then out over the ocean until we could no longer see it. I don't know. It could be aliens. Ah, it sounds like a UFO to me if I've ever heard a story about A UFO. Well, you know what's so interesting about, uh, UFO sightings? What is that? They're always such so weird looking. They're spaceships when, you know, the famous UFO description is round. Like a disc and a little dome on the top. Yeah. Well then there a lot of them are tic-tac shaped. Yeah. and they, those are the ones that usually see underwater. And then you hear about the triangle shape. Yeah, the triangle shapes. I remember you watching this show once. Mm-hmm. I was little, this triangle shape abduct in a man. I don't remember. I think it was probably a documentary. Yeah, it was a documentary, I'm pretty sure. Documentary about, I don't know. No telling, huh? Yeah. I watch there's so all the documentaries about all the things, but if you watch a movie, it's always the, the disc shape and the dome, the Ronald Dome on the top, like, and the do's clear. But if you, there's this movie on Netflix, it's called Zoom and Area 52. Mm-hmm. Um, that's where they kept the first ever crushed Crest 51. No. Area 52. It. I don't know. It was just from the movie. Mm-hmm. And that's where they kept the crash spaceship. And they flew it, but it was like, it was like it, but the dome was like this, like real thin and it wasn't clear. It sounds very fancy. Yeah. And the movie's called Zoom. Is it a kids' movie? Yeah, it's a kids' movie. Hmm. I'll have to watch that. Yeah, it's good. It still likes it a lot. Yeah. It's funny. This one is from Gray Sky's Blue Eyes. this is a story of one of the security guards at the university. He told me this happened to him, and I completely believe him. One day the security guard is in the dorm just shooting the breeze with the ra. And that's the resident advisor. Hmm. When a group of basketball players come bolting in straight towards their rooms. So the RA and security guard go over to make sure they're okay. Apparently when they were walking back from practice, they noticed a humanoid figure standing on top of one of the buildings on campus. They stood for a minute trying to get a grasp on what they were looking at as it was dark. By this point, they were standing looking at the figure, and it jumps down off the building about two and a half stories and lands as a freaking werewolf. The men booked it back to the dorm as fast as they could. So the security guard and RA go to investigate, and when they go to the doors of the building and look out, they can see at the entrance of the football stadium, a man in a black trench coat is pacing back and forth, staring at the dorm. Both men saw the guy and they go out to see what's up with this dude, and as they start walking over in his direction, he takes off running and no crap. The dude turns into a black wolf and runs off. The guy was caught on security cameras in different dorms, stealing sage from someone's car on a different occasion. What? I know, oh my gosh. That, what would you do if you saw that? I don't know. The government's probably got that video deleted. I have no idea. But can you imagine seeing somebody jump off of a building like that? I don't know. Spider-Man. Spider-Man. That's wild. And then land into like a wolf. Oh. Have you seen those funny videos of Scooter Man, like this messed up against Spider-Man? I have to show you. No, I have not seen that. It's weird. And it sounds like he's stuffed up. I have not seen that. Oh my gosh. Here's one from a deleted user a while back. I lived way out in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma due to coyotes and other animals. I'd always go outside with a knife or machete. Well, one night I was taking out the trash and I was 11 or 12 at the time. The trash can was a good 50 feet away from the house surrounded by bushes and shrubs. I put the trash in the trash can and went to head back. When something reached from the shrubs and grabbed onto my ankle, I figured I was caught on a branch or something. So I pulled my foot a lot harder, and that's when I realized that they were fingers wrapped around my ankle, but they were far too long to be human. I swung the machete at whatever was grabbing me, and I heard the most bloodcurdling screech I've ever heard. I ran to the house. It was one of those shipping container shaped trailers. the thing about those trailers is you get a hole in the side panel and animals can get trapped under it. I heard it under the house that night and it sounded like a big dog or something, but I never found out what it was. Aliens, I don't know. It seems like a flesh pedestrian to me. Flesh, pedestrian. Mm-hmm. Well, it's got long fingers. Alien, Barry said unusually long and like grabbed his ankle. Well, prob uh, alien has long fingers maybe, but every time you hear about somebody getting abducted, they usually, it's usually from their bed. Yeah. Not just strolling down the driveway. Well, uh, Travis Walton, uh, got inducted just driving. Yeah. But nobody grabbed him by the ankle. They were just poof. Gone. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know how you did. Kind of freaky. Yeah, a little bit. This one is from questions 0 1 2 7. I was with my dad on a motorcycle trip and stopped somewhere between Idaho and Washington at a rest stop. We were stretching our legs and I decided to walk a bit through the woods at the edge of the rest. Stop. I went a little bit further than I had originally planned and decided I should go back. That's when I noticed a really old car in the trees, like 1930s. My dad and I are car buffs, so I went back to tell him about it and we decided to go all the way back in so he could see it himself. It took forever to find it again. It was really deep in the woods. We got close to it closer than I originally had in the first place, and we could see something was wrong. The four doors had been ripped off and were laying in the dirt around the car, and the entire interior was filled with sticks like a nest. It was totally filled with sticks, and they were held together by a mixture of mud and what smelled like poop. It smelled absolutely awful and it was also full of hair. We got the creepiest feeling and ran out of there as fast as we could. We never went back, and I have no idea what would make a nest inside a car like that. Some people commented that they think it was a Bigfoot nest. have you seen the video of Expedition X? Where that kinda like the off-brand of Bigfoot? Mm-hmm. What was his name? I don't know. Sasquatch? No. It's something, and they said that smells bad. skunk ate skunk ate PS Yeah. The skunk. Mm-hmm. A lot of people see it when they're like going down the river and stuff, and around water. Could be Bigfoot. Could be Bigfoot, and somebody said, well, Bigfoot would be too big. And then another person said, well, what if it was for like their babies or one of those certain types of bigfoots that are just really short and small, like a child, the one child, Bigfoot from Asia. I think those are still big. Uh, yeah. If you watch the Bigfoot and hunters or investigators, um, they will talk about, go to different states and talk about different types of big foots, like short, tall, wide, skinny, all that. We need to find a map, a map with a picture of what bigfoots are reported for each state. Yeah, what kind, what kind of bigfoot and what they look like. Yeah. This one is from Bobby Nish. In the winter of 2008, there was a massive snowstorm across the Inland Northwest us. I was at a house party with a bunch of neighborhood kids where we heard that school would be canceled for the following day. In celebration, a friend and I decided to head across to my house to get some transformer toys, because that's what kids do. When we started across the street, I noticed a large spinning light in the clouds. These lights weren't the size of lights you might imagine on a plane in the fog. They were much brighter and they were spinning. I reason that it was a giant flying saucer with spinning lights hovering above a section of the neighborhood. I yelled at my friend to hurry up and run to my house trying to get indoors quickly. When we came back outside, there was nothing, just a dark, cloudy sky. to this day, I have no rational explanation for what we saw. Probably an alien, uh, or a UFO winding up to go to hyper speed through space. Could have been, do you think they have to wind up probably they're going like millions of miles an hour mm-hmm. To go through galaxies like that? Yeah. Here's a weird one. This is from a deleted user. Not sure what happened, but maybe some of you can gimme a suggestion. When I was 14, I went into the woods as a dare because my cousins knew I was terrified of the woods. I walked for 30 minutes before realizing that something was wrong. I looked around and the woods were dead silent. I've heard that pray only go quiet when there are predators around. The second thing I noticed was that it was nighttime. Now this shook me because when I set off, it was barely sunset. Needless to say, I practically sprinted through the woods to get back to the cabin. when I returned, there was a cop car outside of the cabin. It was eight o'clock. And what I thought was 30 minutes had been four hours. So missing time. Yeah. Four hours. Three and a half hours of missing time. What do you think that is? probably a UFO just drove over and messed with their stuff. Well, a lot of people who have abduction stories say they have like hours of missing time, and they'll think it had been like 10 minutes or 30 seconds. Especially the ones who were driving in a car, they'll remember looking at the time boom, and then two hours have passed and they're still sitting in their car. So it was like they got abducted. Yeah. Or something maybe. This one is also from a deleted user. I have a story, but it's about something I heard and it scared the crap out of me. I was in a student exchange program to the us, specifically New Mexico. I'm not from the US by the way, and near the end of my stay, my host family, the dad, mom, me and their two daughters decided to go camping. When it was getting dark, 16-year-old, me and the two daughters decided to go climb a tree a bit away from the campsite and when we reached the top of the tree, we stopped dead in our tracks because of a sound. I'll never forget, the youngest daughter who was 14 was calling my name, which is a typical Dutch name. so not something. Some New Mexico local would have just shouted since they have trouble pronouncing it. The thing was, the girl who was yelling was actually sitting below me, not saying a word. We sat there and this thing, whatever it was, kept shouting my name in her voice for what felt like an eternity, but was actually just five minutes. And when it stopped, we bolted back to the campsite where the mom and dad were sitting enjoying the evening. But when we told them, the dad's face became pale as a ghost and immediately told us to grab our things because we were leaving and five minutes later we were gone. To this day, I still have no idea what that was. And the dad never wanted to talk about it again. He probably knew what he was. Mm. That would scare me. Yeah. yelling her name and that girl's voice. And that girl sitting right there with her not saying a word. That's creepy. Uh, skin walker. Uh, they can flesh, pedestrian flesh, pedestrian you know, they can transform and uh, they can copy copy voices. Yeah. They mimic. Yeah. They can mimic Sometimes you hear a lot of those stories from the Appalachian Mountains. Yeah. Ev almost every time we go to an antique store, like you go, like to go antiquing. Um, I see a bunch of stuff that was like skin walker, you know, like flush pedestrians. Yeah. Flush pedestrians going like this and all that stuff sticking out from'em, you know? Mm-hmm. Have you seen those? Uh, last, the last one we went to was, uh, like a picture of Yeah. No, I didn't see that. No. Like a carved out Oh, like a wood carving? Yeah. No, I didn't see it. Um, but what are those things that hold your drink from a coaster? Coaster? Yeah. Uh, a bunch of wood coasters got out of'em. Uh, that's weird. I've seen big old pictures at, um, antique stores that you don't notice. No. You have to show me next time. Okay. Old flesh pedestrians. How do you even come up with that? Imagine we just don't say the other word. Okay. So this one is from what? So you call it Flush Pedestrian Ranch. Yeah. Flush Pedestrian Ranch. You wanna watch Flush Pedestrian Ranch? What's that? I was seven or eight, and I was taking a longer path from school through the woods to avoid a group of older kids who were giving me trouble. Today, you'd call them bullies. Back then, it was just how it was in a small clearing, I walked right into what looked like a cowbell, suspended seemingly in midair about eye level. So just a cowbell floating in, in the air, the sun was shining on it, and it was very shiny. I stood stupefied at arm's length, not knowing what to think. I was slowly extending my arm to touch it or ringing it. But before that happened, the bell moved, seemed like from the wind and made the typical bell rigging sound. I immediately, I know what it is. It's a UFO that landed, But you know how they abduct cows is bell might have got stuck in the closing thing. It could have, and they have their cloak on and exploring the woods could be like a random wood cow maybe gotten out of its fence. Yeah. Never thought about that. I immediately felt terrified, like never before in my life for no apparent reason and ran away. The feeling of terror lasted for some time after I got pretty far away. It wasn't just a startle from a loud sound, it was pure terror. This happened in a rural area in northeastern Ukraine. So your theory is that a cow was being. Abducted abducted and its bell got stuck and they like cloaked it. Yeah. What? I thought it was a ghost that was holding it. I was about to think of a story. I was, I had a story in my mom that I was gonna tell you, but then, uh, I thought of that, that actually makes more sense than what Ghost. Yeah. Well, and I didn't even have a theory. I just thought it was weird. But that is pretty good. Can I still tell you my ghost story? You can. Um, we were at the antique mall, you know? Mm-hmm. In Louisiana. The, the long one. where you got your monkey thing from? No. Where you go back into your, you go back whole big thing. That little thin room. The one with the golden retriever? No, uh, it was, it was the one. You're talking about? It was in Texas. Stevensville? Yeah. The long one. You said Louisiana? Yeah, I thought it was Louisiana. Okay, so I got confused. So it's the long one, you remember? Mm-hmm. we're about to wrap up at that same spot, you know? No, no. Wait, we're at the, uh, end of that. The longest trip. Yeah. And uh, I was wearing shorts I was sitting at the buggy just like this. I feel like a cat's whiskers rub on my, uh, leg. Look down. There's nothing there. You don't think it was spiderwebs? No. It felt like a cat ru a cat's whiskers rubbing on me. And you probably got a dead cat. You think there's a ghost cat in there? Yeah, I probably got a So you weren't close to a table or nothing? A spiderweb could have been on. I remember you telling me that after. Yeah. That you swore a cat had rubbed up against your leg. Yeah. A cat's whiskers rubbed up on my leg. You people talk about ghost animals all the time. They probably had a cat that died. May have. That's a good story. It is. I love that story. Well, thank you. At least I have my own story. You do. You have your own, your own ghost story. Yeah. I thought that was pretty weird. I got the chills. Mm-hmm. I was like, well I wanna pet this cat look down. No cat. No cat. There's nothing there. And you were so convinced. Yeah. I was like, I, oh, so I just got shocked because I've never seen a cat there. Look down, get ready to pet him. He's not there. That is crazy. Nothing there. I remember when that happened to You stole. Didn't believe me. Well, you know I do. Yeah. This is from mayor and applaud. not sure if this counts. This was in the mid seventies happened when I was around 11 years old. I was in the sixth grade and I was in my bed and it was late at night. Everyone in my family was asleep. I had my at a girl certificates once that teachers used to give us students for being kind and for good grades and being helpful, they were hanging on my wall and I was staring hard at them. I had this feeling come over me that I could make them drop off the wall not too much later after staring and just knowing I could do it. One dropped. It was taped to the wall. Then the next one that was also taped to the wall dropped. Then the only one on a hook in a glass frame dropped. I immediately scared myself and fell asleep. The next morning I woke up to see that it had actually happened. All were dropped on the floor next to the wall. The glass didn't break either. I was the youngest of five and never told a soul Wish I would have back then, but I didn't. Maybe she has the same power as 11. If y'all haven't seen Stranger Things, go check it out. It's on Netflix is really good. We, me and my sister just started it. Yeah, we watch it every night at supper only. Yep. I love Stranger Things. You know, that's based off of like a real thing, not the monsters, but the facility and the kids. They used to run experiments on kids to see if they were psychic or could see into other places and things like that. So Vena and uh, de mcg Morgan were not real. No. And, but like the events of that story aren't real, but it's based off of that facility. Oh, and the experiments that they used to run on kids. Yeah. That's kind of like what they went off of when they were coming up with 11 and her history and all the things. So everybody was getting in the bed. I was finishing up watching Stranger Things. The coolest thing happened. Eight came on. You know who eight is? No, it's another person, like 11, but her name, her, her number's eight. Oh, on the show? Yeah. Oh yeah, yeah. Mm-hmm. That's, and Bena actually turns out to be Henry who was number one, but he got stuck in the upside down. That's why he got all the roots on. Mm-hmm. 11 sent him to the upside down. No way. You haven't gotten there yet. Mm-hmm. What? Mm-hmm. I wonder who came up with the de dagor then? Well, the writers of the show. Well, I mean like in the show, like, did they just come up with it? No, I mean like, uh, maybe created the de McGorry or they're Oh, up in the upside down, you'll see. You'll find out, oh my gosh, this one's a weird one. This is from bourbon Bobcat. I was driving through western Oklahoma, heading north on some farm roads after dark. I'm going about 70 miles per hour, and I came up on this table with some weird gray box on it. all of a sudden the table with the box on it starts running, going from a perfect standstill to keeping pace with my car. It kept up for about half a minute, then turned off and ran into a field. A table. A table. A table. That's what they said. A table. It's kinda like, uh, um, in your dreams. When is bed? I love that meeting. Oh my gosh. Can you imagine? I would enga ding myself just turn into spider legs or just mm-hmm. Just start, just start hovering you. Yeah. And to be going like 70 miles an hour. That is freaky. He probably ran outta breath. Mm-hmm. This one is from a deleted user. When my dad was a kid, he would lose time, wouldn't be able to remember anything that happened for days at a time, et cetera. One time he was in his house in Birmingham, England. Then the next thing he knew, he woke up in Ireland. No money, no passport in some weird motel. A week later. No memory of it at all or what happened or how he got there. Everyone in the motel had no idea who he was or how he got there either. He used to suffer from migraines all the time and other things too that I can't remember. Anyway, he had these pains his whole life and he was born premature and had severe health issues, so he didn't question it much except for one day when he went to a dentist in Germany, His dentist pulled something small and mechanical looking out that was wedged between his tooth and gum. And as they were looking at it, it self-destructed. It was really small and there was no harm done. But ever since then, he stopped having sleep paralysis, migraines, weird nightmares, and no more blank moments in time when he couldn't remember what happened to him. While I do believe in aliens, I'm quite a skeptical person and would usually find these things really hard to believe except for the fact that my dad has this big issue with lying and can't do it to save his life. He won't do it, and he has even nearly lost jobs because he is too honest. Don't know if this is a story with aliens, but it's the best idea We've got Tracker. What do you, I mean that, that's weird, isn't it? I'm thinking right now. Waking up in a different country, waking up just because or days have gone by just because of little chip. Mm-hmm. I don't know. Once the chip was gone, all of it stopped. Yeah. No more headaches, nothing. I do not have a tracker in me because I have migraines. I had a theory there. Yeah. Well, too bad. So sad. No missing time over here. Plus my migraines are hemiplegic migraines and that's why I take that shot and it makes them go away. Hemiplegic says like something from Asia or something. Says like a word from Asia. All right. This is our last story. All right. Like, can we do some trivial questions to end out our, uh, episode? My father grew up in 1970 Soviet Russia near the Black Sea. as kids. Him and his buddies would play near their local generic military base, So close to said base. They could see into the lots through the chain link fence. He told me one night they were out fooling around a little bit later than they should have, and they encountered something hanging around the base like they normally do. They happen to hear movement in the brush, in fear of getting in trouble by what they thought was a security guard. They tried their best to hide in the shadows and watch until the coast was clear. That's when they saw it slowly but gracefully, striding through the trees. He said it was tall, lanky and humanoid, maybe eight to 10 feet tall and silhouette against the dark trees and blue twilight sky. The weird thing about it though was this layer of static it had, he said it looked like the figure was a bit fuzzy around the edges and visually distorted around a small area of it. He didn't stay any longer than that and ran all the way home and didn't look back. my grandma was at the table when he told this story and she said she remembered that night, but didn't realize he had seen something that terrifying, but something scared him so bad. He almost peed himself when he ran back into the house. He thinks it's possibly an extra terrestrial that came to check out the base, and it seemed to be headed in that direction. I don't know though, but I do believe my dad saw something weird that night. It's Bigfoot, eight to seven feet tall. A humanoid creature that looks like a human with no fur. No fur. He said no fur. Oh, that's an alien. That's what he thinks too. Was it skinny? Mm, it said humanoid. So it looked like a person, but it was just like really tall. Eight to 10 feet tall. how many were there. Just one. Mm-hmm. And it was headed towards the base, the military base? I don't know. They probably has, he, they probably have his, uh, spaceship, you think? I don't know What's the scariest creature you've ever heard of? Alien aliens. I mean, thin, tall, megamind head. That's true. Big eye. Big black eyes. What's the funniest crypted name ever? Bigfoot. That is a good one. Bigfoot. What if it was opposite and it was like big toe? Small. Small toe. Small foot. I love that movie. What's one creepy sound you would never want to hear outside at night? That sound that that girl, uh, that girl, uh, heard that screeching sound. Oh, I know. That would probably scare me to death. Would you rather see Bigfoot in the woods or a UFO in the sky? UFO in the sky. All I do is just fly over Bigfoot. It'd probably run after me. Yeah. Would you rather explore a haunted forest or an abandoned spaceship? Abandoned spaceship. What do you think they have in there? All kinds of gadgets that I'm gonna take for sure. Would you rather be chased by a flesh pedestrian or stalked by moth man? Stalked by moth, man. Flesh. Chased by a flesh. Pedestrian. It can turn into a cheat. You know, they say moth man can predict like his sightings, predict bad events. So now I know so I can just move out of town. Mm-hmm. So actually some the, the first one is in 1967, the silver bridge collapse. It's the most famous connection. There were hundreds of sightings of moth man before this happened, and this occurred In Point, pleasant West Virginia for 13 months leading up to the bridge collapse on December 15th when 46 people were killed. Some witnesses claim the creature perched on the bridge shortly before it fell. Do they have a picture of moth? Man? I don't know. Reports describe a similar creature dubbed the Black bird of Cherno. Cherno Bill. I don't know how to say that. Oh. Seen by plant workers in the days and hours before the nuclear meltdown. That's weird. The Freeburg Mine disaster of a 1978 in Germany, the creature known as the Freeburg Shrie was reportedly seen at a mine entrance on September 10th. The sightings, allegedly scared over 20 miners who were supposed to work that day, potentially saving their lives since they took off. And then the mine collapsed. Whoa. The Russian apartment bombings, 1999 UFO Ologists in Moscow claimed sightings of the creature foreshadowed the bombings that occurred in September, 1999. The nine 11 terrorist attacks. Some accounts suggest the Moth man was spotted in New York City about a month before the destruction of the Twin Towers. Huh? The I 35 West Bridge collapsed. 2007 claims that a moth man-like figure was seen in Minneapolis just six hours before the bridge collapsed. Swine flu outbreak of 2009. Laura suggests sightings in Mexico, proceeded the initial outbreak. Fukushima Disaster. Fukushima. Mm-hmm. Report surfaced of a wing creature seen in Japan shortly before the Haku earthquake and subsequent tsunami and the nuclear disaster. Sounds like a type of titan. Mm-hmm. So a lot of people believe that he appears to warn people of impending doom. Mm-hmm. Is that not weird? Yeah. Moth man. Before all these things. So if we ever see moth man, we might should evacuate that area. Yeah, possibly. Because, uh, isn't there like a plants somewhere nearby here? Well, I don't know. There's plants everywhere. When I was a kid, um, the one in Turlington Angus. Mm-hmm. It blew up. Did you see Moth Man? Well, I was very little when that happened. Oh, mm-hmm. Probably somebody else saw a moth man than Would you rather have night vision goggles or a monster detector? Oh my goodness. I don't know. I would rather have a monster detector. Yeah, me too. I think because what if it detected it and I couldn't see it. Yeah. But what if you're in the woods at night and Bigfoot starts turning at you and you, you can only hear him. You can't see him. Well, I don't know. Oh, monster detector. It'll tell you where he is. That is true. Would you rather camp alone for one night or investigate a scary town for one hour camp alone for one night? Or, or investigate a scary town? Mm-hmm. Investigate a scary town. Yeah. Same. Would you, would you camp alone? No, I would not Camp alone. Yeah. Me neither. I'd take Finley. Yeah. If Bigfoot showed up at our door right now, what would you do first? Uh. Jump on him, on his shoulders and say, do you know my granddaddy? Get him? Do you know Mike Doles? Get him my headlock. Just say, I won't let you go until you tell me. If you could ask an alien three questions, what would you ask? How did you, do time travel? how do you make your spaceships silent? And, uh, why your head's so big? Their brains are bigger.'cause they're smarter than us. That's what I was just thinking. If you discovered a brand new cryp, what would it look like and what would you name it? Uh, it would be. A mole. A mole person and it would be named Moleman. Moleman. Yeah. It's incredible. Afic incredible. Yeah, incredible. And dig up your a sewer line. I'm going to make me a costume for Halloween and be Mole man. Oh my God. Why did I say that? Mole man. Incredible. Incredible. What do you think aliens would think about humans that we wear clothes we're not naked. If you had your own secret bunker, what would you keep inside of it? My coins. Your coins smart. Nobody steal them. I would probably keep water and food and a toilet with some sort of septic system. Some sort. Mm-hmm. What a small man. What if it goes over your thing and incredible. Uh, choose it up. No, no, no, no, no. That'd be very sad. Incredible. Increase you. Incredible. Why do you think most people don't believe Cryptics? Um, because I've never seen one. Mm. True. And two, if you think about it, there's so much of our world that's been unexplored. Oh. But there's no telling what's all out there. I remember telling you that NASA was actually, uh, invented to search the oceans ocean. Yeah. Explore the oceans now. And now they only do space. Why do you think so? They probably saw the Lockness monster don't know. They saw something, I think, and they're trying to skedaddle off the planet. Yeah. Like Mark Grover. Mm-hmm. He works for nasa. He did? Mm-hmm. I think he was a former formal NASA worker. That's cool. Former. Former. Yeah. Formal. Former. Former. And, he never talked about that, do you? Well, they can't. Yeah. And there's different sections of nasa, so. Yeah. And that ha originally was a long time ago, so they may not disclose all of that. Do you think aliens are already here or just watching us? They're just. If that, if that guy, uh, saw an alien just walking around, I think they're just already here, probably. They're probably looking for something. So when you're hearing these stories, what makes a story feel real versus making it feel made up? Um, describing it, yeah. How they did. If Bigfoot had a job, what would it be? Definitely scaring people and being the champion of hide and seek. True. What snack would you bring to survive at Night in the Woods? Probably steak. I'd bring beef jerky. Beef jerky? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Beef jerky. A big old bag of Yes, uh, beef jerky If a UFO tried to abduct you, what would you say to them? fake me away q My sister's two bothering me. If you had to fight one crypted with no weapons, what would you pick? Oh, PAC Copper. A Pac Copper a good choice because all I gotta do is just grab stick, knock it in the head, he's out. I can run. Mm-hmm. Okay. What's something you think I would do if I heard a noise outside? Um, ignore it. You think I would ignore it? Yeah. Or look out your window. What would you do if you had to protect me from Bigfoot? Oh, again, I'd jump on it. Get in a headlock. Do you know my kind daddy? If we made a Crypted family, which crypted would daddy be? I would be You and Stella would be, well, the dad would definitely be Bigfoot. Your daddy would be Bigfoot. You would be probably a moth man. Mm-hmm. Stella would be, she'd be a mermaid. Yeah. Um, and I would be an alien. An alien. Good choices. and the dogs would be ju God. What's the most suspicious thing you've seen in real life? Most suspicious? Uh, I don't know. I don't know. How about you? I don't know. That's a hard one. That is a hard one. Let's skip that one. Okay. And if, if I can think of something by the end of this, of this episode, I'll tell you. Well, this is the end of the episode. I don't know me either. I enjoyed having you on today. Me too. Is it everything you thought it would be? Yes. It's actually our second time recording today, guys. All of our audio got messed up earlier, didn't it, bud? Yep. It was. It was very sad. Yeah. Did it? Very sad. Very so hot. Well, I enjoyed it too. Boo. Me too. Incredible. Incredible, incredible. Guys, if you have any weird stories or if you've seen something strange. Shoot us an email at, let's get weirdish pod@gmail.com. Or Ghost Cat that's rubbed on your leg. Yes. Rubbed on your Her leg. Her leg. Her leg. I'm a Luigi and Mario. Whoa. Until next time. Next time. Keep it weird. That was good. Yeah. Was Looks better than the first one. Oh yeah. Let,
