GRAND STRAND POLITICS SPECIAL EVENT

Lindsey Graham at The Trestle in Conway, South Carolina

In this special event edition of Grand Strand Politics, we bring you full coverage of Senator Lindsey Graham's campaign stop at The Trestle in downtown Conway as he continues his bid for reelection to the United States Senate.

The event featured remarks from Graham on some of the most pressing issues facing the nation, including the ongoing tensions with Iran, economic concerns affecting American families, energy prices, national security, and the challenges confronting Washington in a rapidly changing world. Graham argued that American strength abroad and economic growth at home remain closely linked as voters prepare to make important decisions in the months ahead.

A major highlight of the event was the endorsement of Senator Graham by Russell Fry. Congressman Fry praised Graham's record of service to South Carolina, his influence in Washington, and his ability to work alongside national leaders while continuing to deliver for the Grand Strand and the Seventh Congressional District.

Following his remarks, Senator Graham took questions from attendees, providing a candid look at his views on foreign policy, economic issues, infrastructure, and the future direction of the Republican Party. The event offered voters an opportunity to hear directly from one of South Carolina's most prominent political figures as the campaign season intensifies.

This special broadcast captures the speeches, the endorsement, the audience interaction, and the atmosphere of a campaign stop that brought national issues to the heart of Conway.

Iran.
 The economy.
 Washington politics.
And a key endorsement from one of South Carolina's rising political leaders.

This is Senator Lindsey Graham at The Trestle in Conway.

Donald Trump to deliver T Random Uh and America is better to deliver people up there who are team players who want to work with Donald Trump and want to deliver results to the American people. Well I want to say this. If we don't have it, it's not because we didn't answer whatever. We have a monthly meeting. Never ask Russell what you can do for him. You brought up in your speech how people will be drawing is what might be, what can we do next? What are you hearing right now from the people in our communities and how do you plan to help us do the electricity? Infrastructure. You're growing like a weed down here. You're the cash cow for the state. And Russell is the best Congressman I've ever worked with in trying to meet the needs of this part of South Carolina. When I'm in El Coney, County, while I'm in Columbia, I talk about when you look at the makeup of the state of South Carolina in terms of sales tax receipts. This is the cash cow for the state. So why I come down here, one, I love it. If you don't love this place or something, but I want to help. Every dollar I can work to get into this congressional working with him will help everybody in the state. We need revenue. And the way you get revenue is you have people from other parts of the country to come visit and spend money. And the sales tax receipts, the accommodation taxes that are generated down here helps every county in the entire state. I figured that out a long time ago. That's why I come so much. What are your thoughts on that? Look, I supported the president. I supported uh the initiative to do that. I don't think people look at our current map and think it's reflective, uh, or the potential map that it's reflective of the conservative meanings of the state. In Massachusetts for 20 to 30 years, you have 40% Republican turnout and have zero Republican representation. Why should states like South Carolina be a pariah in doing the same thing? We support the president, we support the legislature's initiative to redraw because they consider uh doing that. And my view is it's up to them. And um they tried, let's try again, but we've got I'm worried about this election, and we're not gonna you know redistrict between now and November. But we gotta get recalled this election. I think uh I'm the best person to meet a Democrat. They spent $132 million trying to meet me, beat me in 40 points. Um they didn't even get a t-shirt. There's not enough money you can spend to convince South Carolina to be Democrat if you got the right control. So Jim and I will have our primary and we're gonna run up the numbers from Vince Brown here. I got Russell on my side, I got President Trump on my side, I got a lot of people on my side because he's a hard-working post. When we did have the contest in November, this young lady from uh Charleston has a lot to say about me, but I'm gonna be able to talk back when I get into the ring. I'm gonna ask her, what week would you limit abortion? You pick a week at least. What's high, what's a fair tax? What rate would you tax the American people? I'm gonna ask her questions that nobody else will ask her, and you're gonna find out pretty quickly when I get in the ring with her, she's the most noble person to ever run in the state of South Carolina. We're gonna flip this race away early, and we're gonna focus on growing the Senate numbers. I think we're winning North Carolina and Georgia, but here's my promise to Republicans in South Carolina. You elect me, I will beat the Democrats. Last question, we're gonna gas prices. Everybody's upset with them. Even if you obviously ever since you support you, comes up there's some rooms. What would you tell our viewers about gas prices and how the Republicans are managing? They're gonna come down with a nightmare for the world is for Iran to have a nuclear weapon that could hold you hostage for the rest of our lives, and one day they would use it. So I can't think of a worse scenario for freedom than a bunch of religious Nazis having nuclear capability to blow Israel off the map and eventually come after us. We're paying now, but we've paid later. Trump has done a wonderful job of weakening Iran. Under Obama Biden, Iran was legal and strong. Under Trump, they're weak and poor. We're gonna get a deal, I think the streets are gonna open up, gas prices will come down. Well, when they come down, you won't have to worry about your children living in a world with a bunch of nut jobs that are not having any of the weapons because Donald Trump stopped them. And the cost we're paying now is gonna pay dividends for your children later. We're not gonna live in a world where a bunch of radical Nazi can kill us. We're just not gonna do that. We're not gonna live with a bunch of radical Islamists who can think we can kill us. Trump's not gonna live for that. Same thing. Look, I think I think the American people are patient and resilient. They don't like gas prices. We don't like high gas prices. But I think the American people also understand the Sumerians. This problem's been kicked down on the road for decades, but there have been multiple presidents that have been able to take care of this. But we have presidents in the past who are rewarding uh the Iranian lawers with pounds of cash, it's not a way to govern if you really want to include Iran. So, unfortunately, President Trump handled or was handled this issue, and he has a hardware. Uh, and we expect obviously the strength of the U.S. military to resolve of this president uh that Iran will hunt gas prices myself. And I want to remind people about Biden. Gas prices were $5 a gallon, not because we had to take on our line, because of policies he instituted to keep us from drilling for oil and gas in a responsible way. He destroyed the fossil fuel industry during his four years. We're going to protect the coast of South Carolina, but we're going to find American oil and gas, so we're not dependent on people overseas for our energy needs and hate our guts. So not only will gas prices come down, when they do come down, you're not going to live in a world with a bunch of religious Nazis, radical Islamists having a nuclear weapon that can hold you and your family hostage forever. Now, whatever happens here, it was worth it, in my view, to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon because they would use it. They would start with Israel and they will come for us if Donald Trump has stopped them in their tracks. Be patient. Gas prices are coming down. But most importantly, when they come down, he's safe. You'll hear him joking a little bit about just how hot he got in the room because there were so many people there to hear our senator speak. Uh he uh lays out the current foreign policy situation going on in Iran uh and and the other things going on in Washington, D.C. of interest. And of course, how you've been looking out for Oregon County and Myrtle Beach and the area down here in the P as our U.S. Senator. And we have a couple of moments. I wish I'd gotten there a little earlier. I actually had to stop and get gas. Um I missed a good chunk of um Russell Fry's speech, and uh and I apologize for that. But here is Russell Fry introducing Lindsey Graham, and then Lindsey Graham will speak for about 45 minutes on the trussle in Conway, South Carolina. And he supports the president, he supports the president's agenda, most importantly, and that's why we need to send him back to the United States Senator. Lindsey Graham everybody thank you, thank you, if you like. Sheriff, nice to meet you. When my family hears the sheriff is coming, it's not a good day in the ground. So anyway, thank you and all those under your command for making us say going to a car in the middle of the night, not knowing who's in it, to make sure they're up to no good. So to those who wear the blue, God bless you all. And I said me, but which says a lot about politicians. I'm the smartest one. But having said that, I said Russell, and they said fine. I said, he named the busiest highway in the world after Donald Trump. So whatever you want for the next two and a half years, you're gonna get. Shouldn't have said that. He said, What are you doing? I said, Doing great. Race is going well. Thank you for endorsing me. If you get nothing else out of this little event, Donald Trump endorsed me. Very grateful. People who can't say that are no longer with us politically. So he endorsed me. And uh so it's been a weird relationship with the president, and I've enjoyed his the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between. But I told him I was going to to Conway. He said, sort of that, it's nearby beach. Now I'm gonna be with Russell. Oh, I love Russell. Russell's so smart. He's the smartest, he'll be a senator one day. I said, yeah, absolutely, but not this one. I want to be like 28 or 100. 41. I got this good, and then I got underwear older now. Anyway, when you took Trump thing as relative, right? If I can tie his record, I would have 30 more years left. I'm gonna miss most of y'all in case I make it. Um so anyway, the point is right as mentioned Russell, he lit up like a Christmas tree. Because he likes Russell, and Russell does deliver, and he's done a heck of a job taking these two years to the benefit of the Grand Strand and his congressional. It took me two minutes for him to mention that road. What's the name of the road? President Donald J. Trump Highland. Okay. And he has showed me a photo you gave him, and it's like the busiest road in the world. Said, yeah. I gotta come. I said, Well, come before June 9th if you can. But uh anyway, uh you chose wisely for Russell. Everybody likes him. He's a combination of tough and kind, smart and practical, incredibly honest, and I may be wrong, I doubt it. The best is yet to come for Russell. My favorite topic, mate. How about a round of applause for the people who own this restaurant? I grew up in central South Carolina. Does anybody know where that's at? Oh, yeah. Okay, anybody uh go to Clemson. Yeah, my dad owned the liquor store. Right by Clemson, and I do remember you. But anyway. When the Tigers played at home, it was a good day for the Graham household because we owned the liquor store five miles from the state. And you learn a lot if your dad and mom owns a bar, restaurant, pool room, liquor store, right? I knew Bill Clint was lying when he opened his mouth because I ran the pool room. So I'm the first in my family to go to college. Neither of my parents graduated high school. My dad was a World War II veteran, and you know, we lived in the back of the store. And I I'm telling you, it was a great life. I mean, I could get all the coats I wanted for free, and the beer was off limits, which was probably a good idea. But the one thing I learned is if you own your own business, you can't get sick. I see my mom and dad go to work dog sick because if they don't go to work, nobody else. That sounds amazing. So if you own your own business, you can't get sick, and you can't really take a vacation because when you leave, if you don't watch it, they'll steal you black. The first vacation I can remember as a family, we came to Merle Beach, and I thought I had won the lottery. In O'Coney County and Pickens County, hard to see the ocean. It's like a long way away. But I remember coming down here and I learned this if you fall asleep on a float in the ocean, you will get burned. They had to take me to the emergency room, so I learned it. So anyway, I just thought it was another world and I couldn't believe it. That's a big deal for the Graham householder go on vacation. So that experience sticks with me to this day. Like, you never know what's going to come your way. And only in America can you go from the back of the liquor store to the Senate, which is really not that hard. You meet people in the Senate. Nice for people to look it for us. But anyway, uh, so life is good until it's not. Does that make any sense to y'all? So doing good, went to Carolina, live five miles from Clemson. Why did I go to Carolina? They let me in. That's exactly what I went. And uh, but anyway, I was in college, you know, ROTC things, I never thought it would happen. And got a call one day from my dad, your mom's a little sick, and six months later she died. Well, that's not all, but it happened, right? So I'm 21, 15 months later, he does. That's not all, too, right? And you've seen Darlene, right? You know, lucky to have her running. She should be running. But uh, but anyway, you just don't know what's gonna happen. Life is full of curveballs and fastballs, and and that has never led me to this day. I do not literally take anything for granted. I don't, because they can all go away tomorrow. So, what about learning through all this? If you're in government, you can help people you should. I believe in limited government, but don't you think there's a role for the government sometimes? We're all one car away car wreck away from getting our life turned up back. So, what I try to do as a conservative is say, yes, there is a time for the government. But most of the time it's about you, not the government. And it's okay to fail. Has anybody ever failed? You know, it's a blessing to live in a country where you can actually fail. Where you have the decisions that are yours, and sometimes they don't work out well, and you get up and try again. So that's what I like about us as a country. You can fail, get up, try again, and go to the back of the pool room to the Senate. And I just love this job. Now, what's it say? He said it well. The Democratic Party of your grandmother or grandfather is dead. Right? Cut the camera off. These people are batshit crazy. Oh my god. I hope Balloony Ben is about empty on the Democratic side because God helped us to many of these people. Where did they get these people from? Now what makes them think being a vegetarian is gonna sell in Texas? I want to thank the Democratic Party for helping us more than we help ourselves. If it weren't for them, I'm not sure some of us would win. But uh anyway, bottom line is the race is taking shape throughout the country. Lest uh anybody interested in politics, we'll do this really quick. There are 53 in the Senate. You need 50 to run the place. Right, you get the vice president to break a tie. It's better to have 53 than 50. Do you agree? Yes, accepting golf. It'd be better to have 54 than 53. Yes. Now, what's gonna happen? I'm gonna make a prediction. We're gonna do really well in over. People are nuts. Number two, President Trump is doing more right than wrong. And he's made hard decisions that others refuse to make, and it's all gonna pay off. The one big beautiful bill, I was the budget chair. I've been on the budget committee for 10 years and went to one meeting. Only in America could I be the budget chairman. So I never went to a meeting because we never did anything. We won the House, the Senate, and the White House, and he said, You're now the budget chairman. I said, How can that be? He said, Well, you've outlived everybody to your right. It's your turn. I said, Okay, we're gonna be the budget chairman. I can tell you, Senator, I went in with an open mind about the budget because I knew nothing about the budget. So, but I did know this. Have you ever heard of reconciliation? You know what that means? That's Latin for you don't need a Democrat. That's how they passed Obamacare and the Inflation Reduction Act, which didn't reduce inflation. So that's what we did with the One Big People. It is the biggest domestic agenda item maybe ever since LBJ. We fill that sucker up with everything we could put in a sock that you don't need a Democrat for. Now there are limits to reconciliation, but we cut your taxes in a stored fashion. We secured your border, we deregulated this country, and we helped the military without one Democratic vote. I'm on the budget committee, and all of a sudden I'm chairman, and everybody around me actually liked. Being on the budget committee. And they all had a lot to say about what we should do. And I said, here's what we're going to do: we're going to pass President Trump's bill. And I'm sure you got great ideas. Keep them to yourself. We're going to pass this bill. And if you're not for that, you need to leave now. And it was quiet like it is right now. And I said, I don't want to hear any more about the budget. I like his bill. You're going to vote yes, and I'm going to vote yes. Then we're going to get to the floor, and the rest of us are going to vote yes. That's civics. We all voted yes, and the bill passed. And you're going to get the benefit of this bill. So that's a big deal that will pay dividends through the rest of the year. Trump did something nobody else was willing to do but should have done. I may believe if Oran had a nuclear weapon that you. If you don't believe that, you should not be allowed to drive in South Carolina. You can drive in North Carolina, Georgia, but not even. I should be on the driver's desk. How far should you separate between the car in front of you? And do you believe Oran would use a nuclear weapon then? You gotta get them both right. So the bottom line is when they told Trump the Iranians were bragging about having enough plutonium to make eight or ten bombs that they went to 90%. They were at 60. You know what he did? He blew their stuff up. Now if he had a bomb and Biden, they would have wet their pants. They'd have given them like $100 billion, please don't. Trump blew their stuff up. They ain't going to 90% anytime soon. And all that dust you talk about. I told Trump, if you can actually get it, we probably should give it to you. Because it's so far under the ground with a mountain on top of it, but we'll make sure they don't get it. So he was decisive and he didn't overthink things. He believes, like you do, they had a nuclear weapon, they had used it. Israel would be the first target. We'd be in the top three. They had three bombs, we're all screwed. So when he heard they were that close, he said, uh, I'm gonna end this. Now, how did they get 60% enriched uranium? They cheated. Hillary Clinton. Obama, Biden, Clinton, all of them. Under the agreement, they were supposed to be at 3.4 percent. How'd he get to 60? You cheat. These missiles that they shot at us, how did you get them? They cheat. These people are cheaters. I'd like to get a deal we can live with, and I trust Trump to deliver on that. State? We may be close, we may not be close, but if we get a deal, it's gonna be a deal and make sure as they never get a nuclear weapon. We're all gonna be safer. Now, what does that mean? Gas prices are gonna come down when we open up straight up. So gas prices are gonna come down. The big beautiful bill is gonna have payouts that will keep the economy going. The stock market is through the roof. So my belief is that a secure border plus all that is gonna make us an attractive choice in November. Now, how did he secure the border? How did we go from 10,000 people coming across the border every day illegally to five last week? Five last week. You know, I told him you ought to keep those five because if they didn't get across that border, we probably ought to try put them on the Olympic team. It's hard to do. But anyway, but we went from 10,000 to five because of Donald Trump. Mexico was afraid of it. He told Mexico, I'd like you to help me. And if you don't, I'm gonna put tariff on everything coming out of Mexico. And when he included tequila, it got really serious. I know that would hurt the grand strength. So anyway, he convinced Mexico, I'm a different guy, and you need to help me, and they did. He is put terrorists in the ground that nobody else wanted to even mention their name. He took on Iran and we're at the inside the 10-yard. Let me tell you what to be watching for in 26. How many people believe if Saudi Arabia recognized Israel, it'd be a big deal. Now, why is that a big deal? It means all of our troops in the Middle East would probably come home. It'd be the end of the Arab-Israeli conflict that's been going on longer than Strong Thurman, like 2,000 years. MBS, the crown prince, likes President Trump and he's afraid of it. Israel likes President Trump and they're afraid of him. And I said, I'm afraid of him, he chose wisely. If you're not afraid of him, you're gonna regret it. So anyway, but if we could pull this off after Iran's put in a box, I talked to him literally last night. One of his top priorities is to get Sari Reba to join the Abraham, of course. Okay, now this is the center of Islam. Mecca and Medina are the two most holy sites in all of Islam. What would the world be like if that country recognized a Jewish state? It would turn the Mid East upside down in a good way. It'd go from being a powder keg to a powerhouse. We'd all be making money and living a better life. Now, why do I talk about stuff like that? Do you remember 9-11? Do you remember where you were at? What grade were you in in 9-11? 10th grade. Huh? 10th grade. That's all we need to know. I spent three years in 10th grade and loved it. But anyway, um, so I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was in Washington. I was getting ready to go to work, and they said turn on the TV, turned it on, and I saw a plane go into when the tower was done. I thought it was like a Mookie. It happened literally in real time. From that day to this day, I made a promise to myself and you we're never gonna let that happen again. Right? Now, how do you prevent that, right? You fight them over there before they get here, right? You kill them. What do you do with a kamikaze ballot? You kill them because they don't mind dying. So when you when dying is first prize, you got a problem on your hands. So keep them over there, have partners on the bike that get other people to help you. So here's my belief that President Trump has put the infrastructure in place that will fundamentally change the source of 9-11. Where did all the hijackers come from? Say that again. What would the world be like if the country that created the conditions for 9-11 would make peace with it? That dividend to us would be enormous. So why I talk about this? I don't want you to die because radical Islam would key if they could get a hold of you. I'd like to have prosperity and replace conflict. I love peace more than I love war. But hoping the problem goes away seldom fixes it. Now we got a guy in Frozen Charm that's got magic. Sometimes it's black magic, but mostly good. He's got a way about him I haven't seen since I've been up there. Bigger than Regan. And that's saying a lot in our role, right? And what does he need, partners? Now, somebody asked me, what's the difference between me and my cheap antagonist? I said I'm taller. It's the first time I've been ever to say that because I've been in office. And I'm taller than my opponent. He believes we need more masseys. I'm glad Massey's gone. Another difference between me and my chief antagonist is if Trump thinks he's a lunatic and he endorsed me, Trump did. It's a big difference. Trust me, we've got all the lunatics we need. We don't need any more of the Senate. It's full. Bottom line is this is a clear choice. I can say, like Russell can say, when President Trump needs me, I'm there. I can say, like Russell can say, he is truly a friend. And that will benefit our state. If I win, and we gotta get 50% of the border runoff, and y'all know the key to this, because y'all run it up for me down here. Uh I will be chairman of the judiciary committee in 2027. Now, what does that mean to you? If we hold the Senate, which I think we will, I think we'll pick a seat up. I think we're gonna win North Carolina and decent chance in Georgia. I think Susan Collins is gonna win, and we're gonna win one of Michigan, New Hampshire, and Georgia, one of those three. And I think we'll be at 54. We're more likely to be at 54 than we are at 50. Because I think that's what remember Cavanaugh. Remember that one? What was that all about? It was about power, it was about them wanting to keep that scene open so they could feel it, and there's nothing they wouldn't do to keep it open. Now, how did I come into play? Strom Thurman voted for Ginsburg. Prince Holling voted for Scalia. It used to be that way, but when you won the election, you got to pick people qualified. Yeah, I don't like Ginsburg's judicial philosophy. It's hard to say she would qualify. I love Scalia. How could she say he's not qualified? What happened is starting with Bork and Thomas, and they tried to destroy our people, and it's gotten worse. And they tried to do this crap on Canada, and I've had enough of it. Well, and the reason my voice mattered is because I voted for their nominees. I didn't vote for the latest one. What's her name anyway? She's awful. But I had to vote for people that I only pick that I think were qualified. And what they were doing, Brad Kavanaugh, was disgusting. You would be lucky if he moved in your neighborhood. Him and his wife are wonderful people, right? Led a great life, literally a boy scout, one of the most qualified people in the world. And they were gonna ruin his life over a party in high school nobody could remember. And it took on a life of its own. I'm sitting there thinking, what are we talking about? A party in the summer when he was a junior and nobody can remember? An accusation that made no sense when he looked at it. They were willing to take that and run with it and ruin that man's life. That changed me. Not only did that piss me off, and I had my say, and I think I helped it. Kavanaugh is not a bird. Right? It means being treated poorly and unfairly. That taught me a lesson. These people have no limits when it comes to power. There's nothing they won't do to get it and maintain it, right? Look what's happened to Trump. He's been investigated and indicted. We were laughing last night. They tried to indict me in Georgia. I had to go to the grand jury of Connie Willis. And if you'd been in that grand jury, you would think this ain't gonna end well for a spoke. I picked up the phone and asked the guy how the election went, and the next thing no, they were coming after me. And I told the president, how do you do what you do? How do you get up every morning knowing they're just trying to put you in jail and ruin your family and ruin your business? You know what he said? What choice do I have? Boy, is he right? What they did to him in New York, 34 felony counts for a crime that didn't even exist. What they did in Georgia was a joke. But they were serious about ruining his life. And what they did in DC was another joke. Georgia, Broad County, New York, Manhattan, Washington, D.C., that's home cooking. And he withstood it. And he still stands. And he told Eric right after they got indicted in New York. He said, don't worry, this is gonna work out. People are not gonna tolerate this. President Trump can see things that most other people can't see. He's got a hide thicker than a rhinoceros, and he's the right man at the right time. And if I get to be chairman of the Judiciary Committee, I'm gonna wake up every morning and go to bed every night thinking about how many judges I can get on the bench at the federal level to make it the most conservative judiciary in American history. We have questions with the question. Welcome you to my hometown. Thank you. Come on. Um we got a couple of audience. I think everybody can hear me. We've got a couple of questions submitted from the audience senator. If re-elected, which we know you will be, what are some of the issues that will be your priorities in the coming term? I think you've addressed some of them. Have you ever heard of section 230? You ought to hear about it. You can't sue social media companies if they run airline. Have you ever heard of 640? Uh Representative Duffy from Rockfield. I got them on the internet and met a woman supposedly. And one thing led to another, and he's sending her compromising photos, and it's a spam. And she, I don't know if she sent him copies of the photos and say, if you don't give me $10,000 next week, I'm gonna tell your parents and release it to the paper and kill himself. What should you do to that website? Scare the hell out of them, right? You can't without the section too there. I want to change that. I want to put as many judges on court as I can, and I want the military to be the strongest it's ever been in the history of the country. I want to help President Trump the whole way, Senator. How can we prevent Democrats from impeaching President Trump? How many people believe they will impeach him if they take that? The crime will be breathing. How many people believe if I'm the chairman of the judiciary committee, this thing is dead on arrival when it gets consent? Already got the trash can ready to put it in. Will you support pro-choice school policies? Somebody wrote pro-school choice policies. I think what they meant is pro-choice school policies in Washington. Yes, I'm pro-life, so I want to get that out of the way. Um, yeah, but school choice. How many of you went to public school? How many of you graduated in four years? From high school. So I should say, well, that's a joke, right? So the point is you're lucky to be able to go to a public school where you can get an education, right? That's right. I went to Danny. Where'd you go from? Fox student. Okay. If you can spell it, I don't want to be to Danny. So anyway, I don't know how to spell it. That's impressive. What if you went to a public school that never graduated anybody? Would you be pissed if you were a parent? Why should your child's life be determined by a zip code? The key guy on this attempts code. Who suffers the most from failing public schools? Minority families, usually. For whatever reason, they don't produce results. And if you give more money to the same people, that's insane. Right? So why not create an alternative to a failing public school in the name of educating children? It is the biggest civil rights issue of the 21st century. It's one thing to be told you can't go into this restaurant, you can't drink from this fountain, you can't travel, that's offensive, and we should be embarrassed as a nation that was the law of the land at one time. We should be embarrassed that minority families suffer the most when it comes to public education. We should insist that every child, regardless of their color, whatever county they may be born in, they're gonna get a good education. Count me in for school children, Senator, I think this one might be rhetorical, but it says, why is the left so against the same American act? Because they want to cheat. So how many people think you should have an ID to vote? How many people glad you have an ID to get on a plane? Who are you? So, anyway, if you don't want an ID to vote, that means you want to cheat. How many people think you ought to be a citizen before you vote? If you don't want to have people prove they're citizen, it means what? You want to do what? Cheat. How many people think boys could should play girls' sports? If you got a daughter, that's not a good idea. How many people think a minor child should not be able to transition their sex? That's the Save America Act. 80% of people agree, the 20% that don't are in charge of the democratic. So, how do you get the Save America Act passed? You could eliminate the filibuster, but you need 50 votes. We've had four votes, and six people say no. There's another way. Reconciliation three. As the budget chairman, which I am, and I'm gonna go down in history as the best budget chairman in the world, which says a lot about the budget committee. Because all this you believe God works in mysterious voices? This is like me and Trump being friends and me being budget chairman are very mysterious. Even me, but both of them are true. So we're gonna do a third bill and we're gonna go after fraud. How many people think you shouldn't reimburse the state for a federal benefit unless the state can prove the person actually exists? And here, leave it. So I'm going to, as your great budget chairman, come up with a grant program saying basically, if you don't biometrically identify recipients for SNAP, you don't get any money. That's pretty cool, right? Sanctuary cities, you're gonna pay a fine for making or all the rest of it. Voter ID. Create a grant program. If you don't have voter ID, you can Get less growing on it if you do get more. Back doorway again in the same place. So that's what we do for the Safe America Act. Make a down payment through reconciliation. And if we don't, Russell, we're idiots. If we don't use reconciliation in the last minute of the last day for 4.7, we're crazy because if we do lose the house, it's not available to us. I think we will hold the house, but in case you lost the house, get as much as you can while you can right now. Senator Graham, what is your position on immigration, including illegal aliens? And would you support H1B visa enforcement? Thank you. Yeah, you know what H-1Bs are? It's a program where you can hire people overseas when you can't find them here. Now the goal is to try to find them before you hire anybody, right? Computer engineers. We don't have enough. There are too many people like me in school. And the hard science, we're like losing ground to India and China. You don't want your businesses to leave the country, do you? So let's find ways to bring talent into our country when the American worker is not available, but only if they're not available. So H-1D reform. It's being gained. They hire people overseas because they're cheaper, not because you can't find them. Let's make sure that you can't hire an H1B developer until you've really tried to find an American. But I'm here to tell you, it's hard to find enough people on the high-tech side of our economy to run America. Anybody pick peaches lately? Anybody pick cabbage later? Anybody orange tomatoes later? You can pay $30 an hour, and there are a lot of people in our country who won't do that. Right? How about this? If you pay a competitive wage and you can't find workers, bring them in from overseas temporarily where they can help do the things that we have a hard time finding workers for and they go home. That's rational, that's logical. So at the end of the day, immigration is about Joe Biden. If I had four years to live, I would want to live during the Biden years because I thought it would never end. In four years, he took everything Trump did and turned it upside down. Getting out of Afghanistan led to Russia invading Ukraine on and on and on. 11 to 15 million people came into our country lately during Joe Biden's term, and our number one priority should be to get them out. Before you bring anybody over. Senator, now that Roe versus Wade has been overturned. How can we make more progress on the pro-life issue? Elect pro-life is now how did Roe v. Wade get overturned? A Supreme Court that did what? Overturned it. Now, how do you do that? You get five votes. We uh was it five four? I can't remember. Anyway, it took us 50 years in the mayor trying to replace a liberal court with a conservative court. I said last night on handy two nights ago, you know, Trump is 1018 and O for endorsing people that won, right? I said, I don't care if you like me or not, don't be rude to him. Don't embarrass me. So the bottom line is my hope is that if I get to be judiciary chairman, we can build on the pro-life judges that we have on the bench today. Now, one or two Supreme Court justices may think about retiring. Justice Ginsburg stayed too long. If they do retire, I hope they retire while I'm chairman. So I can replace them with somebody you will like. So keep the court conservative. The abortion pill is going to destroy every pro-life law on the books. Are you you know what I'm talking about? Biden said you could get an abortion pill through the mail without seeing a doctor. We have yet to change that. I told President Trump, you need to change that. Well, we need to go further. We need to ban the abortion pill being administered to the mail. Yes, yes, yes. Every law in South Carolina, the heartbeat bill, everything we have that we work for all those years, can be wiped out by the post office. So if we don't get this right, it's gonna be the biggest setback in the pro-life movement, and it will destroy all the games to make it state level. And finally, is there a role for the federal government in protecting the audience? I think so. I think it's the state issue up to the point. At 15 weeks, that child is well developed. They can feel pain, they can hear and associate the voices of their mother and father because they're that well-developed. The French landed abortion at 14 weeks. We're one of seven nations that allow abortion on demand up to the moment of birth. That's barbaric. Surely we can be as bold as the French. So can't believe they ain't the same. 12 to 15 weeks is where most European nations are at when it comes to luminary abortion. I've got a bill, let's start at 15. It doesn't matter if you're born in California, New York, or Myrtle Beach, or Conway, in 15 weeks you feel pain. And it's a statement about who we are as a nation. I think there should be a national minimum standard protecting the umbrella. Um I was gonna tell you I've been told it's time, but if you want one more, uh white bill, go ahead. Sounds sufficient, but all did it? We are already. You know how much oil we buy from overseas? None. Yeah, we're walking. Our prices are controlled by the hospital. So it's a commodity, see? What if the whole energy world collapsed tomorrow? We don't need the straight old moves. Right. The people that need it are not us. And who can you think? Russell, me, and Donald Trump. It's national security malpractice not to be energy independent. It's national security malpractice not to be able to make your own clothes. Who wants to buy uniforms from China? What did we learn during COVID? All the healthcare equipment was made in China. That's right. So that was a wake-up call. So we are sufficient in terms of our domestic needs from the oil and gas we own, and we're actually becoming more and largest exporters. People that can't get through Hormoons are now coming to Texas and Louisiana. So there's gonna be sort of an upside to this. But what did we learn? Um choke points matter even if you're energy independent because it's a commodity, and choking the Strait of Hormoons is increasing, uh is limiting supply, which increases prices. Once the strait is open, and I believe it will be, gas prices will come tumbler down. But this is a wake-up call, too. Let's don't let any country like Iran ever be in a position to do that to us again. Uh so on behalf of all those wearing a jacket, which is the three of us. Um thanks for coming. This part of the state I've got to know pretty well. In Charleston, it's about tell me I'm the best. You know, the help head is we used to do it this way where I came from. And Myrtle Beach, you know how well about Myrtle Beach? What have you done for me like that? It's never freaking ending. Listen, how many roads do y'all have? But why do I spend time working with it? It's a cash cow. If you look at the sales tax receipts of this state, and you look at where y'all live, where am I gonna take the next offer? Because I'll get my money back, right? And you have a problem that most people would dream of. Everybody wants to come. And unfortunately, all of them don't wait. Eventually, it's gonna catch up with us. I cannot tell you how much time Russell spends talking to my office about road, water, sew. The basics of everyday life. And I come here very regularly, you know, 573, the whole deal, right? The more access you have to this part of the state, the more money we'll make. You know, in case there's a hurricane, you get out of the place. So when it comes to infrastructure, I say this in Oakone County, not just here. Every dollar we invest in the brand strand, we've got to get back in this. Because it is a sales tax cash cow for the state. And we talk about Iran, and we talk about Russia, and we'll talk about you know, Section 230, we'll talk about anything you want to talk about, but there's still a basic component of this job: taking care of your backyard. And I think I've never lost that. Charles Thurman told me two things that were very wise before I took over. He said, Life is short, which was odd. But it turned to be true because he told me that when he's 99 and he died a year later. It is short. And he said, if you take care of people, they'll take care of you. No matter what you want to talk about, people need to believe that you understand who they are and what their needs are. Now I live as far away from Conway and Rural Beach as you can get in O'Connor County. But it took me five minutes as a congressman and senator to realize y'all are important because of what you do for the rest of us. Then you come down here and you fall in love with the way. Help me on June 9th.
