From the Mind of an Overthinker
From the Mind of an Overthinker is where real life meets way too many thoughts. Hosted by Ashtyn Gulistani, a mom, storyteller, and professional “what-if” analyzer, this podcast dives into everyday moments, messy mom life, and the stories that keep us up at night (or make us laugh out loud).
Whether it’s unpacking the chaos of motherhood, revisiting hilarious memories, or simply spiraling through the “what happens if…” questions, you’ll feel right at home here. Grab your coffee (or your wine), settle into your messy bun, and join me for stories, laughs, and a whole lot of overthinking.
Because sometimes, the best stories come from the thoughts we can’t turn off.
From the Mind of an Overthinker
XY, a short story
I wrote this story as a way to process the grief I was carrying from infertility. It’s not a story that will win awards, but it did help me make sense of something that felt impossible to understand. If you’ve experienced loss — or are living through it now — I want you to know you’re not alone. Losing a child is a silent war; even when you try to explain it, the pain never truly leaves. And while some may try to win that war, sometimes the greatest act of strength is simply surviving it. Writing this helped me find a small light in the darkness — something to look forward to when everything else felt uncertain.
