NO SHAME: STANDING ON GOSPEL TRUTH | THE CASE FOR SALVATION
Have you ever felt pressure to prove you can handle life on your own? Do you wonder why needing help can feel like weakness? Are you carrying shame about faith in a world that prizes self reliance? Paul speaks into that tension with hope that still holds today. Jesus meets us in our need, not our strength, and the gospel tells the good news that God has come near to save, heal, and restore what we cannot fix ourselves.
In Romans, we hear that the gospel is the power of God for salvation. This good news is not about earning your way to God but about trusting what Jesus has already done through his life, death, and resurrection. The message of Jesus becomes a foundation that holds when our confidence fails and our illusions fall apart. In a culture that celebrates doing life your own way, the gospel offers something solid to build on and a freedom that comes through faith.
This passage invites you to lay down shame and receive grace. It reminds you that salvation is not just about eternity but about God mending what is broken right now. As you listen, you are invited to trust Jesus with your whole life and to share this hope with others, knowing that the gospel itself carries the power to change hearts.
Scripture: Romans 1:16 to 17
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16
“For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last.” Romans 1:17
