SPEAKER_01

Welcome to the All Good Episode Glory Podcast. And tonight we have episode eight of our horror trivia, The O Show, Stab in the Dark, The Ocho edition. Thank you, Justin. I'm your host tonight, Mike, and playing with us are Charlie and Justin, and a surprise third guest contestant, Justin's daughter, hello. Welcome. How are you all doing?

SPEAKER_00

Do I need pen and paper?

SPEAKER_01

Good start.

SPEAKER_02

You may just need a piece of paper at the end. I mean, depends. Is your heart in this one, Charlie? Well, when is it? Let me look into your eyes. Is it the eye of the tiger or is it the eye of the koala? Which one?

SPEAKER_03

Did you know koalas have like completely smooth brains?

SPEAKER_02

Completely smooth brains because they only eat eucalyptus.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway. Interesting. For those of you listening at home, grab yourself a pen and a paper. Grab yourself what? Play along with us. If you want to keep up with the with the gross sexual puns, play along with us. The winner usually gets to put the game together. And I know Charlie doesn't like to put the game together and do the homework, but I really like putting these together. I think it's a lot of fun. I think I learned something by looking up some questionworthy things. And if you don't object, we don't have to play the rules that whoever is the winner has to make the game next. I will volunteer to host often. And Justin, if you'd like to host some too, just whenever you feel like doing it. Whoever wants to be host.

SPEAKER_03

Possibly.

SPEAKER_01

And that way we get Charlie's best effort. I will I don't want to feel like Charlie's tanking at the end, you know, just to just to not have to be the one to host. So I don't mind taking the reins and being the host of this show, and then once in a while. Or Justin. It's big of you. Or somebody comes in and was like, hey, I'll do one, and then like the three of us, or sometimes four of us get to play against each other, but just gonna find some nerds. I don't mind doing it.

SPEAKER_02

I'm just gonna find some nerves.

SPEAKER_00

Every time I win, you do it.

SPEAKER_02

Here we go. It's like an all-time quarterback when you're playing backyard football.

SPEAKER_01

Ghost Runner. Right. Right. So, you know, the winner of the game usually gets to host the next installment, but yeah, maybe that'll be me. If Charlie wins, I have to host it. The loser, I have a single Tide Pod in my pocket, and you have to eat it. Oh no. So all right. Oh no. Oh no.

SPEAKER_00

Not again.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. This is the one of many, there's a lot of regular size, or one of the large ones.

SPEAKER_02

Large. There's a there's the venti.

SPEAKER_00

There's a venti.

SPEAKER_01

Grande. All right. Who is ready to play Stab in the Dark, D Ocho, episode eight? Been ready. Been ready. Born ready. This game will consist of three rounds with the point totals going up each round, followed by a final stab in the dark, where you can wager any amount of points on the final question. Round one. You know it. You love it. I can't figure out a better name for it. This is name them. Apollo, if this is your first time playing with us, so I will throw out a category, and you will have to name as many answers that fit that category. Everyone will alternate. Who everyone will alternate giving an answer? There are also baseball rules: three strikes and you're out. So if you miss one, it's a strike. The next person in line gets to steal for a point and then take their turn and we'll go keep on going. Once you have three strikes, you cannot answer anymore. What if there's like a foul tip and somebody catches it? Oh for God's sake, Justin.

SPEAKER_03

Jesus Christ. Speaking of which, how do points work?

SPEAKER_01

If you so, however, so positive the first for the first category, for example, has 46 possible answers. So you'll give one, Charlie will give one, Justin will give one. For every correct answer, those you get one point for this first round. Cool, cool, cool. And then the next round will be worth two points or three. I think three. And then the following round, maybe three again. Can't remember. But I will keep track of the points. Y'all just keep your thinking caps on. And Charlie, you can now give your best effort knowing you won't have to host if you don't want maybe I've been doing it the whole time. I think yes. Oh man, you sandbagging son of a bitch. All right. So for this first round, I've dedicated all three categories to the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards. These nominations take place in the month of July, which is quickly coming up upon us. May already be here by the time this episode drops. We don't know. If you check Fangoria's website, fans may get to vote on who will be the nominees for the awards that come out in October. And yeah, so I dedicated all three of these categories to the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards. The first category that you will have to name stuff from is the Fangoria Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement Award winners. They probably stole that from us, didn't they? Yeah, definitely. The Chainsaw Awards debuted in 1992 for films in 1991. There have been a few years of I of hiatus. They have not in their current format elected anyone to their Hall of Fame since 2017. So in the time period from 92 to 2017, 26 actors and 20 contributors, those being directors, producers, writers, etc., have been elected. Okay. Before we start, I want to warn you, we're gonna have to talk about this list after this category real quick because some there are some incredibly glaring omissions. Incredibly glaring omissions. I guess gonna put that out there. I hope that doesn't sway you one way or the other. But there's probably eight to ten names where I'm like, where the fuck are they at? Okay, I need to know.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so just to recap, every person was in a movie from 92 to 2017.

SPEAKER_01

Not necessarily, no, no, or so they were like some lifetime achievement type shit. The the awards went from the awards put people in the hall of fame between 1992 and 2017, but not but not because they were in movies in those years. They they just put in people that they felt deserved. So okay, so they could have elected Boris Karloff or something like that. Sure.

SPEAKER_03

Did they?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I don't know. You gotta guess. Anywho, I don't know what the parameters they were going by for who would be elected. With that, were there multiples in any of these years? Or is it I will tell you, every year had exactly two, except for a couple years had just one. Okay. Then there's 46 total. One year had four. There's 46 total. Most years had four, most years had two, a couple years had one, one had three, one year had four. But most years had two. What if we wanted our our host of the game show to God can I answer the Baltimore question?

SPEAKER_02

Jesus. I wanted the host to have the Baltimore accent. That's all I was going for. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_00

So there's a total of 46.

SPEAKER_01

There's 46 possible points to be handed out. We're gonna rage bait them.

SPEAKER_00

23 are contributors.

SPEAKER_01

Is that math correct? 26 actors slash actresses, 20 contributors.

SPEAKER_03

And by contributors, is this like directors, directors, writers, producers, etc. What if it's an author and their book gets adapted into a movie? Does that count?

SPEAKER_01

Right? So probably not like book. I mean, probably not. Looking at the list, probably not. Okay. Anywho. These are good questions, Mike.

SPEAKER_02

Are they? All right. It's it's we've changed it from name them to nag him, is what we think.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Let's get this started. I'm just gonna go around the table from left to right, which means Apollo, you get to go first. And remember, three strikes before you're out. Apollo followed by Charlie, then Justin. I don't even just think big horror names.

SPEAKER_03

I don't even know who this is. I just wrote it down because it popped to my head. Um Stanley Kubrick.

SPEAKER_01

Incorrect. Oh again, we're gonna have to talk about some of these where the fuck are we? The omissions are glaring, you said. Yes. So one strike for Apollo. No Stanley Kubrick. Charlie gets to steal and then take his turn. Oh, okay. What? Oh Jesus. Is it my turn? Yes, you get to steal because Apollo picked wrong. So you get to steal and then take your turn.

SPEAKER_00

How about John Carpenter?

SPEAKER_01

John Carpenter, not on the list.

SPEAKER_02

Holy fucking ass.

SPEAKER_01

I told you. Alright. Okay, so now you can take your turn, where if you are wrong, you get a strike. Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Shit. Uh yeah. Oh, uh Bruce Campbell.

SPEAKER_01

Not on Chainsaw.

SPEAKER_00

Are you kidding me?

SPEAKER_01

What is happening? He hosted like the first three chainsaw awards.

SPEAKER_03

You should have gotten it just for that.

SPEAKER_01

No fucking shit.

SPEAKER_03

It's called Chainsaw Awards.

SPEAKER_01

He's got one on his Chainsaw Hand. So Charlie, strike one, Justin, you get to steal and then take your turn. How about West Craven? Not on the list. That's your steal. Now take your turn. Shit.

SPEAKER_02

How about Robert England?

SPEAKER_01

Not on the list. I told you. Yeah, that's gonna be a short. Okay. Apollo, you get to steal and then take your turn.

SPEAKER_03

Shelly Duval.

SPEAKER_01

Not on the list. But you don't get a strike. That was a steal.

SPEAKER_03

This one's gonna get me a strike for sure. Barbara Crampton?

SPEAKER_01

Barbara Crampton is on the list.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

Apollo is on the board. Both are Cramptons are on the list. Alright. Charlie. Oh my god. Your turn. This is your turn. This is not a steal.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Shit.

SPEAKER_01

Shit's not on the list. Not on the list. Strike two for Charlie. Justin, you get a steal and a pick. How about Stuart Gordon? Stuart Gordon is on the list for a steal. I did. And now you get to take your turn. How about Eli Roth? Eli Roth is on the list. Justin moves into the lead and is one strike on the board. So Apollo, it is your turn.

SPEAKER_03

I'm definitely noticing more like less common with Stuart Clinton. So I'm going to actually go with the not likely guest, but Jeffrey Combs.

SPEAKER_01

Jeffrey Combs is on the list, the very first Hall of Fame entrant in 1992.

SPEAKER_03

That makes no sense. He's a good actor, but he's not that good.

SPEAKER_01

You have to, I think, change.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna go old school. How about Jamie Lee Curtis?

SPEAKER_01

Jamie Lee Curtis is on the list. That's weird.

SPEAKER_02

Not because on a good list, but like because anyway.

SPEAKER_01

Jamie Lee Curtis and Stuart Gordon both got in in 1997. Scream Queen. Justin, it is your turn. You guys are on a roll. Now you got it. Now we got it. How about Kane Hotter? Kane Hotter is not on the list. Justin, that is strike two. Strike two. Apollo, you get to steal and then take your turn.

SPEAKER_03

This is where I start to fail. I'm just free-balling over here. This is not it. I don't think at least. I don't even think it's a horror actor. It's just coming to my head. Jack Nicholson?

SPEAKER_01

Not on the list. But that was your steal, so you don't get a strike. But now this is your turn. If you miss, it is strike two for you.

SPEAKER_03

Contributor, right? Elvira.

SPEAKER_01

Not on the list. Oh, that I I like the guess though. Yeah, I do too. Definitely. But unfortunately, not on the list. Like to add more? Okay. That is two strikes. Everyone has two strikes. So, Charlie, it is your turn.

SPEAKER_03

I got a question. What's your question? Oh, what's your question? What if you can like imagine the actor in your head, but you can't think of the name? Can you look it up real quick?

SPEAKER_02

For you, maybe.

SPEAKER_03

Thank you. I'm horrible with names.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Okay. It's a maybe. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Where are we at?

SPEAKER_01

Charlie, it's your turn and you have two strikes. Christopher Lee is on the list. Okay. 1996. Probably the most everyone's most liked Dracula performance. I would say. I agree. Justin, it is your turn and you have two strikes. How about how about Milajovovich? Not on the list. That's third strike for me. That is your third strike. Justin is out with two points. Apollo, you get to steal and then take your turn.

SPEAKER_03

Sam Raimi?

SPEAKER_01

Sam Raimi is not on the list. That was your steal. Now this one counts for your turn.

SPEAKER_03

I had another one on backup, but I cannot think of it. Oh god. This is really stupid. Mark Duplos.

SPEAKER_01

Not on the list. Strike three on a pilot's list at two points. Charlie, you everyone is tied at two points, and Charlie, you have the last turn. You can go as long as you want.

SPEAKER_02

That's not what Mary said. She won't listen, right?

SPEAKER_00

Let's try. Sigourney Weaver.

SPEAKER_01

Sigourney Weaver is on the list. She was on the list I wanted to guess, but I'm like, this is a crapshoot.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I know another one. Do I keep just keep going?

SPEAKER_01

Keep going. You still got two strikes.

SPEAKER_00

Uh uh the other Dracula. Peter Cushing.

SPEAKER_01

On the list. Wow. They inducted Cushing in 95 and Lee in 96. Yes, you get to keep going, dude. See, he's gonna rattle off like 20 in a row because he doesn't have to host. He's gonna smoke this fucking game. Or he's pulling, they're gonna pull the rug out from you. We'll make you host.

SPEAKER_00

Let's try Bella Lugosi.

SPEAKER_01

Bella Lugosi was not on the list. Boris Karloff is on the list for a lifetime achievement award. So Charlie leads after the first category with four points. Justin and Apollo tied at two. Okay. I'm just gonna read off the rest of the names. I'm not gonna, I'm I'm not gonna stop and pause. I'm just gonna read them off. Okay. Lance Hendrickson, Anthony Hopkins, Linnea Quigley, Peter Jackson, Agnes Scrimm, Heather Langenkamp, Christopher Walken, Kevin Williamson. This is the one I'm gonna stop on. Inducted in 1998, Kevin Williamson. All he done was wrote and scream and I know what you did last summer, and he's in the fucking Hall of Fame. Right. One year later, get the fuck out of here. No Wes Craven? Fuck off. Lucio Fulci. Yeah, no fucking shit. That's why I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_02

No Robert England, but there is hashtag.

SPEAKER_01

Brad Durriff, but no Robert England. Okay. Dick Miller. Definitely deserves it. Love Dick Miller. Tim Burton, Paul Nashee, Udo Keir, Joe Dante, Mario Bavo, Guillermo Del Toro, Don Coscarelli, Emily Perkins, KNBX Group, whatever that is. Contributor. Yep. Doug Jones, Forrest J. Ackerman, Roger Corman, Madkins, Tobin Bell, Richard Matheson, Larry Fezzenden, Danielle Harris, S. Williams.

SPEAKER_00

James Wan on the list.

SPEAKER_01

James Juan was not is on the list. Yeah. Josh Whedon, David Lynch, James Juan, Adrian Garcia, Bogliano, Ty West, Robert Rodriguez, Kurt Russell, Barbara Steele, Boris Carloff, Tony Todd, and Galen Hurd.

SPEAKER_02

Now I like Ty West, but like he doesn't belong there before a lot of these other people.

SPEAKER_03

So they have Tobin Bell.

SPEAKER_02

Jas Wheat for Buffy, probably.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but that's not a movie necessary.

SPEAKER_02

But it's I think they incorporate that.

SPEAKER_01

I know they've been on covers of Fangoria. Yeah. Yeah. So all right. The score is four to two to two pilo.

SPEAKER_00

They had Toby. This is the second time. It's because Charlie's not in the room.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, he'll get in. We'll we'll sneak them in there. Ash is already in our Hall of Fame. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Are we good?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

They had James Juan and Tobin Bell, but not Lee Winnell, or like I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Like what? John Carpenter. John Carpenter.

SPEAKER_02

Hitchcock.

SPEAKER_01

Motherfucking Alfred Hitchcock.

SPEAKER_02

Jesus Christ. They had the voice of the ghost face before they had some of these people on there. Wait, no, that's red. That's uh who is that? Roger Jack. Who is that? That's not Corminus.

SPEAKER_03

I feel like some should have been on there that just wasn't. That was really weird.

SPEAKER_02

Like Elvira. That's a good one. Both of these. Both of these should be. Elvira.

SPEAKER_00

I would just thought for sure Elvira. When you said it, Elvira.

SPEAKER_03

Because she's awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Alright, let's get to the let's keep this. Let's keep this game rolling. Boobies? Is that what you said?

SPEAKER_03

Movies.

SPEAKER_01

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

Movies.

SPEAKER_01

Let's keep this game rolling this right now. Is she in the room? Oh, there she is.

SPEAKER_04

There she is.

SPEAKER_01

All right. The 2025 Fangoria Chainsaw Awards. These awards recognize films from July of 2024 through July of 2025, and it was presented in October of 2025. You will name a movie that you think received a nomination in these awards.

SPEAKER_02

2024 through 25.

SPEAKER_01

However, nominations that film got, you will get those amount of points.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_01

So if a if you you want to guess early, the ones you think got the most nominations in that time frame. Yeah. Because that is the amount of points I will give you for that answer. If you name a movie that was not nominated, you get a strike. This is for movies only. The modern Chainsaw Awards also do TV and video game awards. We're not counting those. The 2025 Chainsaw Awards had 43 films nominated in one capacity or another. Starting to sense a theme here. The Chainsaw Awards? I said that already.

SPEAKER_00

Which is the middle of 24 through the middle of 25.

SPEAKER_01

Shit. Hit low power mode. There we go. Oh yeah, we gotta speed this up. There's 10 10 10% left.

SPEAKER_03

I tried.

SPEAKER_01

Trust me, I tried. Alright. So let's see. We started with Apollo. This time we'll start with Charlie. Charlie, your pick. Film you think was nominated for a 2025 Chainsaw Award.

SPEAKER_00

28 years later.

SPEAKER_01

28 years later was nominated six times. So that is six points for Charlie. Damn. There are four movies nominated more than that.

SPEAKER_04

What? Oh shit.

SPEAKER_01

Justin, it is your turn.

SPEAKER_02

Shit.

SPEAKER_01

How about also for this one? We're not gonna do steals because I don't want someone to double up and get a shit fucked in change. Like a hundred points.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. How about Halloween ends? Am I way off on the ears? You are way off on the ear. That's a strike. Shit. I'm having a hard time narrowing this down.

SPEAKER_01

Apollo.

SPEAKER_03

I think this is right. Like, I cannot think of the times in my head right now. But Evil Dead Rise.

SPEAKER_01

Not on oh no, not on the list. That was 2023.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

Closer than me. Yeah. Strike two. Charlie's gonna smoke, y'all. I'm telling you. Alright, Charlie, your pick.

SPEAKER_00

Final vaccination bloodlines.

SPEAKER_01

That is correct for one point. You got a nomination.

SPEAKER_00

Uh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Justin.

SPEAKER_02

Oh shit. That was okay. How about the monkey? Was that that year?

SPEAKER_01

That I believe came out after July of 2025 because it is not on the list. That is two strikes for Justin. Oh my god. Apollo. Sinners? Sinners with ten nominations is a ten point. Answer for Apollo. Charlie. Long legs? Long legs with seven nominations is correct. Correct. Quit. Justin.

SPEAKER_02

Having a hard time nominating these. All right.

SPEAKER_03

Think.

SPEAKER_02

You gotta look around the room real quick.

SPEAKER_01

Terrifier 3. Terrifier 3 got a nomination. You are on the board with eight points.

SPEAKER_02

A single solitary nomination.

SPEAKER_01

Single nomination.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, it is kind of garbage.

SPEAKER_01

Apollo, back to you. You only have one strike.

SPEAKER_03

I was not thinking. Um let's see. Oh god. I'm trying to think of stuff we saw in theaters.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna go ahead and open my notes real quick.

SPEAKER_03

Shush, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh. Um I'm just gonna shout one out. I can't. I can't. I might just skip.

SPEAKER_02

Pass?

SPEAKER_03

I I can't think.

SPEAKER_01

You can't think. You don't have a guess.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe I just say it. I don't know. No guess. Maxine.

SPEAKER_01

Maxine got one nomination. One point. Yeah, there you go. One point. Charlie, no strikes. You are up. Hey, must be nice guys. Must be nice. TikTok.

SPEAKER_04

TikTok on the clock.

SPEAKER_00

You already have not on the list.

SPEAKER_01

Came out after July of twenty-five. First strike for Charlie. Justin, you're up. You have two strikes, sir. Heart Eyes. Heart Eyes.

SPEAKER_00

Hard Eyes, motherfucker.

SPEAKER_01

I think did that get Heart Eyes is not on the list.

SPEAKER_02

I'm out.

SPEAKER_01

You are out with one point, Justin. Bringing your total to three. Apollo, you're up.

SPEAKER_03

Nosferatu.

SPEAKER_01

Nosferatu got eight nominations for an eight-point answer. Charlie.

SPEAKER_00

Heretic.

SPEAKER_01

Heretic is correct for three nominations for three points. Back to Apollo.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. We went from Nosferatu to heretic somehow. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I have another guess.

SPEAKER_01

After they're done.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, okay, okay, okay. The insidious movie. What was it? Red Door.

SPEAKER_01

Not on the list.

SPEAKER_03

What year was that?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, but it's not on the list. That's two strikes. Charlie, you were up. You have one strike. Can I have one of your strikes?

SPEAKER_00

You gonna say the substance?

SPEAKER_01

The substance is correct for another 10 nominations. Oh, ten more points for Charlie. Apollo, back to you. You have two strikes.

SPEAKER_03

Was it Scream 6?

SPEAKER_01

Scream 6 is not on the list. That was, I believe, 24 before July 2. Liver alone, guys. That's three strikes for Apollo. And you finish with 10, 18, 19. I got sinners for 10, 9 for 10.

SPEAKER_03

Just for this round.

SPEAKER_01

I was counting down and Maxine, so that's 19 and a total of 21 so far. Trying to set the line. Charlie, you have two strikes. You can guess until you miss twice.

SPEAKER_00

Shit.

SPEAKER_01

Weapons. Weapons was not on the list that was after, I believe, July 25. That's my favorite. Two strikes. One more guess, or you can keep guessing until you're wrong.

SPEAKER_02

Give me a guess.

SPEAKER_00

Oh alien movie, uh Alien Romulus.

SPEAKER_01

Correct, for two nominations. You get to keep going.

SPEAKER_00

Well, depending on the like looking at their Hall of Fame list, it's gonna be something fucking stupid.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I don't think these are mutually exclusive, but I got nothing.

SPEAKER_00

I can't.

SPEAKER_01

And I'm gonna give you a third strike because you got enough fucking points. Alright, you got 10, 23, 26, 28. You scored 29 points in that round, Charlie. Bringing your total to 33 points. What about Apollo at 21? That was also 2023, Justin. And three points for Justin. Here are the ones we did not mention. The Ugly Stepsister, five nominations. Bring her back, three. Cuckoo three.

SPEAKER_02

Cuckoo.

SPEAKER_01

Strange Darling, three. Best wishes to all two companion. Cannibal muckdang two. Mr. Crockett two. Oddity two. What?

SPEAKER_02

Are you Oddity?

SPEAKER_01

Smile two. Good one. The only the ones that got one are Azreel or Azreel. I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

That's a Samar weaving one.

SPEAKER_01

Frankie Freiko, Freaky Tales, Getaway, Little Bites, Getaway was fun. Blink twice. Dangerous Animals, Red Rooms, Companion, Werewolves, and then a couple documentaries. George A. Romero's Resident Evil, Doc of Chucky, In Search of Darkness, Colonel 1990 to 1994. Colin. The J Horror Virus, Susanna, The Queen of Black Magic.

SPEAKER_00

Mom got a colon.

SPEAKER_01

And then the the IP ones: the Screamboat, Popeye's Revenge, The Mousetrap, Popeye the Slayer Man, Shiver Me Timbers, Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare. I think I watched one. I watched one.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't watch the I love Screamboat Willie.

SPEAKER_01

I watched Screamboat. I did watch Screamboat too. I didn't watch Mousetrap, but I watched Screamboat. No, no, I watched like five minutes of it. All right. Third category. We gotta keep this one rolling. Charlie Leeds 33, Apollo 21, Justin 3. The first Chainsaw Awards were in 1992, and through 2017, with some vacant years, Worst Film was a category. The inaugural worst film winner was Freddy's Dead, The Final Nightmare.

SPEAKER_02

Nonsense.

SPEAKER_01

Not counting Freddy's Dead, I want you to name the other 18 films that were nominated in both in both best film and worst film in the same year. What the Chainsaw Wars divide the best film into best wide release and best limited release, but there was only one nominated for limited release. So mostly wide release films are what we're talking about here. Easy enough? No.

SPEAKER_03

What are the years?

SPEAKER_01

So there are 18 films. I'll give you a hint. They are not counting Freddy's dead. They are all the rest of them are from the tw 2000 through 2016 awards, which would be the 1999 through 2015 film years. Justin, because you are next to go first and you were trailing, you will go first. I was trailing horribly. Are you ready? Yes, sure. All right. 18 movies, guys. House of the Dead. House of the Dead is not one of the Are you kidding me? It's one of the worst movies ever. But it isn't one of the best either. So that's one strike. Apollo, you get to steal and then take your turn.

SPEAKER_03

The Evil Dead remake, 2013, I think.

SPEAKER_01

That is correct. For a point. They're wrong.

SPEAKER_00

What the hell?

SPEAKER_01

That was nominated for best wide release and worst. Well, they're I hate this.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

You gotta think.

SPEAKER_01

But think think think about it. There's people that are probably like, that was great. And people are like, it's not the original. So yeah. Charlie, your turn.

SPEAKER_02

I gotcha. Shit. Club's red.

SPEAKER_01

Not on the list. Strike one. Justin, you get to steal, then take your turn. Dawn of the Dead remake. Dawn of the Dead remake, not on the list. Now you can take your regular turn. Blood Rain. Not on the list. Strike I'm thinking of the bad ones.

SPEAKER_02

I'm sorry, guys.

SPEAKER_01

Apollo, you get to steal and then take a turn. You have no strikes.

SPEAKER_03

Saw 2004.

SPEAKER_01

Saw is not on the list. That's a good guess, though. That was a really good guess.

SPEAKER_03

People hated it, but they also really liked it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And now you get to take your regular turn.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, regular turn. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

That was your steal, so no strike.

SPEAKER_03

Right, right. Was the silence of the lambs? Wasn't there a silence of the lambs remake?

SPEAKER_02

No. There was Red Dragon and the Hannibal.

SPEAKER_03

No, I doubt that. I gotta think of the ones my dad likes because they're always bad. Ha ha Hereditary.

SPEAKER_01

Hereditary is not on the list. I like it. It's gonna it's polarizing that one. Charlie, your turn, you have one strike. Not on the list. Strike two. Should I get a steal? You get a steal, Justin. I need it. You get your turn. Thirteen ghosts. Not on the list.

SPEAKER_03

Are you kidding me? It can't win any.

SPEAKER_01

Didn't that come out in like 97? Oh, you're right. I don't know when it came out. Not 97, but I mean maybe it was a good guess. I don't know. But yeah. How about the Conjuring? The Conjuring is not on the dead again. I'm out again. Again, with a score of zero, and you still have three points. Apollo, it's your turn. You have one strike.

SPEAKER_03

I know this, I think. Meant for Elm Street remake.

SPEAKER_01

Not on the list.

SPEAKER_02

If anybody, I would want to know an address of somebody who put that on.

SPEAKER_01

That was your steal. Now you get another turn.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, it's my steal. It's hard because I don't really watch bad movies, guys.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, wow.

SPEAKER_03

This is a niche pull. Uzimaki, the adaptation of Junji Ito novel.

SPEAKER_01

Not on the list. Yeah, I thought so. Strike two. Charlie, you have two strikes, you get a steal, and then you get to take your turn.

SPEAKER_00

What was the time frame again?

SPEAKER_01

Movies that came out between 1999 and 2015 for the 2000 through 2016 awards.

SPEAKER_03

To be fair, I was a baby, so.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, what about that stupid ass crow remake?

SPEAKER_01

Not on the list.

SPEAKER_03

That was like 2020 something.

SPEAKER_01

This year of last year or something. Now you're on your regular turn, down to your last strike.

SPEAKER_04

Last strike.

SPEAKER_00

I got nothing.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Charlie is out. Justin is out. Apollo, you get a steal, and then take your turn, you have two strikes. I knew this was gonna be a tricky one. How about I didn't think it'd be this tricky?

SPEAKER_03

Saul 3D.

SPEAKER_01

Saul 3D, not on the list. You have one more. That was your steal, you get one more chance, or you can guess until you're wrong.

SPEAKER_03

I doubt I will have that luck, but um God. I highly doubt this is somebody's worst movie, but Cabin in the Woods?

SPEAKER_01

Not on the list. Strike three, but you were the only one. Justin, too bad you're not still in the game because Cabin Fever's on the list. What about Apollo goes ahead and get uh the only one to get a point in this round?

SPEAKER_00

Because I'm amazing. What was the movie she got?

SPEAKER_01

She got Eve the Evil Dead remake from 2013. What else we got? Alright, so the other ones you guys missed. The Blair Witch Project.

SPEAKER_03

No, that was a great movie.

SPEAKER_01

Blair Witch Project or the Blair. The Blair Witch Project from 1999, the original. That's polarizing. I'm sure some people were like that. No, but actually Atticus. I get it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Most people do not have joy in their lives.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I mean, like, Atticus is just a bundle of rage all the time, I guess.

SPEAKER_01

And I think you'll notice that some of these movies, I feel like found footage must be very polarizing. Paranormal. I thought you were gonna say at Apollo Hannibal.

SPEAKER_03

Are you kidding me? Like the show?

SPEAKER_01

No, no.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Signs.

SPEAKER_00

Signs.

SPEAKER_01

Signs? I can see that. The ring. The ring won best wide release film and also was nominated for worst film.

SPEAKER_00

How?

SPEAKER_01

28 days later won for best film and was nominated for worst. House of 1000 Corpses.

SPEAKER_03

That's a Rob Zombie one?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake.

SPEAKER_03

I was I was thinking of the Texas Chainsaw remake.

SPEAKER_01

Cabin Fever.

SPEAKER_02

I do.

SPEAKER_01

Open Water.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Clover Field. Paranormal Activity.

SPEAKER_02

There's the Found Face.

SPEAKER_01

Splice. Ah. The Human Centipede. That's fair. That's fair. That one won the limited release category, but was also nominated for Worst Foods. Paranormal Activity 3, Fright Night, Oculus, won best film in 2015. And The Visit. I don't know what the Visit is.

SPEAKER_02

That's an end night. Oh, yeah, it is. I like the holiday one. No, they yeah, their kids went to visit the visit grandmom's good.

SPEAKER_00

Turns out it's not their grandparents. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Spoiler. Spoiler. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Surprised like the organ was in there or something.

SPEAKER_01

So that is round one. Charlie leads with 33. Apollo jumped up to 22. Justin bringing up the rear at three. All right. Three? Round two.

SPEAKER_03

Hey, he's doing better than all of us.

SPEAKER_01

Round two. These are Roger Ebert reviews.

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_01

Are these are these golf rules? No. Okay. All right. Roger Eber Roger Ebert reviews.

SPEAKER_03

What's that?

SPEAKER_01

I'm going to change this up a little bit to what you guys might be used to that I'm doing. We just did a best and worst category. So for each round here, we're going to have either a four-star review or practically a zero-star review, which I don't think he does zeros. It's like half as low as he goes, or like thumbs down. But they're bad movies.

SPEAKER_03

So I don't know who this guy is.

SPEAKER_01

You don't need to know. You don't need to know. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

He's a famous movie critic.

SPEAKER_03

Then he sucks.

SPEAKER_01

Probably. Whatever.

SPEAKER_03

All movie critics suck.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Don't you aren't you? Aren't you a movie? Do you do you watch a movie and criticize it or give an opinion on it? Okay, that's what they do. You suck. You suck too.

SPEAKER_03

You do too, Dad.

SPEAKER_01

You have an opinion, you suck. Damn.

SPEAKER_02

We're not gonna be friends anymore.

SPEAKER_01

All right. So I have nine movie reviews here. There are three of you, so everyone will get a chance, three chances. Love it. Depending on which number you pick, you will either luckily pick a four-star reviewed movie or a zero-star review. I will read you the review and you guess the movie. Okay. Love it. All right. Because Justin is trailing, he will get to go first. What do I pick? And you get to pick a number between one and nine. Seven. Justin picked seven. Seven. You have a four-star movie review. I don't know if that helps. These are two points apiece. And then there is no stealing. All right. Two points apiece. Okay. Four-star movie. A recent version of this story would have hurtled towards the part where the alien jumps on the crew members. Today's slasher movies in the sci-fi genre and elsewhere are all payoff and no buildup. This film uses a tricky device to keep the alien fresh throughout the movie. It evolves the nature and appearance of the creature, so we never quite know what it looks like or what it can do. Name that movie. Prometheus. No, that is incorrect. It is alien. I thought so. Alright. Oh, that was thought too hard on it. Yeah. Alright, Apollo, you get to go next. Pick a number between one and nine, not seven.

SPEAKER_03

Six.

SPEAKER_01

You have picked a zero-star movie.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I'm sorry. If you pick a zero-star movie, I'll at least give you a hint with the subgenre. So this is a body horror.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I got this.

SPEAKER_01

This film is reprehensible, dismaying, ugly, artless, and an affront to any notion, however remote, of human decency. It makes a point of Martin's lack of surgical skills. Oh, yeah. He seems to have sewn his victims together with summer camp skills where you stitch the parts of a bill fold together with leather thread.

SPEAKER_03

Wait a minute.

SPEAKER_01

Name this zero star.

SPEAKER_03

There's two, it could be.

SPEAKER_01

Pick which one you think it is.

SPEAKER_03

There's no, because like one makes more sense the other. Only one right.

SPEAKER_01

You guys doodling is bothering the fuck out of me. I'm just saying. What uh can you have more than three points if you didn't fucking doodle?

SPEAKER_03

Can you reread it?

SPEAKER_01

Just fucking with it. Can I reread it? Yeah. This film is reprehensible, dismaying, ugly, artless, and affront to any notion, however remote, of human decency. It makes a point of Martin's lack of all surgical skills. He seems to have sewn his victims together with summer camp skills, where you stitch the parts of a bill fold together with leather thread.

SPEAKER_03

Human centipede.

SPEAKER_01

That is correct.

SPEAKER_03

It was between that and tusk, but then you said victims, and I was like, oh, it's more than one person.

SPEAKER_01

Alo got that one for two points. Did I say it was two points? Yes, I believe so. Two points apiece. All right. Charlie, pick a film number one through nine, not six or seven. One. One, you have picked a zero-star movie. This is a slasher. The movie is a low-rent retread of the alien pictures with a monster attacking a spaceship crew. I learned from the classic horror reviews website that the movie was originally scheduled to be released on Halloween of 2000 and then bumped to March 2001, summer 2001, and Halloween 2001 before finally opening on the 16th anniversary of Chernobyl, another famous meltdown. Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Alien movie 2001. It was shite.

SPEAKER_01

Didn't say it was an alien movie.

SPEAKER_02

I think he used the word alien movie, but not necessarily it's alien.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, the movie is a low-rent retread of the alien pictures.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

With a monster attacking a spaceship crew.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

The answer is Jason X. It's not a monster. All right, Justin X. Oh, great movie. That's a Muppet. Justin? Yeah you get to pick up 23458 or 9. 2. You got a four-star review, sir. Sweet. Alien. All right. In quote. I was directing the viewers, the director told Truffaut in their book-length interview. You might say I was playing them like an organ. It was the most shocking film its original audience members had ever seen. Do not reveal the surprises, the ads shouted, and no moviegoer could have anticipated the surprises he had in store.

SPEAKER_03

That's the most vague thing. That is pretty vague.

SPEAKER_01

Read it again, please. It starts with a quote saying, I was directing the viewers, the director told Truffaut in their book length interview. You might say I was playing them like an organ. It was the most shocking film its original audience members had ever seen. Do not reveal the surprises, the ads shouted, and no moviegoer could have anticipated the surprises he had in store. The surprises.

SPEAKER_02

Man, psycho.

SPEAKER_01

Correct. What psycho. Actually, just yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Psycho.

SPEAKER_01

Psycho. Psycho was famous for having psycho was famous for having ads saying, like, don't ruin the movie for other people. Like you weren't allowed to leave the theater. Like, if the movie started, you couldn't come in late. Like they were notorious for having that kind of shit.

SPEAKER_02

Pompous ass director.

SPEAKER_01

Well, but he went back and re reviewed he like he's done reviews of like Nasferatu from a hundred years ago.

SPEAKER_00

Awesome. So oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

It's a four-star movie. You should get it. Anyway. I deserve those two points, guys. Yeah. Apollo, your pick. You get to pick number three, four, five, eight, or nine. I think they should be worth 30.

SPEAKER_03

I like the number nine.

SPEAKER_01

Nine. You picked a zero-star movie.

SPEAKER_03

Awesome.

SPEAKER_01

This is a contemporary Western horror.

SPEAKER_03

Oh God, what?

SPEAKER_01

The movie does not develop into a standard story of teenagers in love. And the Lee character's death, where she is tied hand in foot between two giant trucks and pulled in two, is so grotesquely out of proportion with the main business of this movie that it suggests a deep sickness at the screenplay stage.

SPEAKER_00

I know this movie.

SPEAKER_01

The thing is not correct.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_01

I know it's I know. I'm fucking with you.

SPEAKER_03

The problem is, I just recently got into like bad movies and really gory ones. So I don't have no clue what this is.

SPEAKER_00

The hitchhiker.

SPEAKER_01

The hitcher. Close enough.

SPEAKER_00

The hitcher.

SPEAKER_01

Nuance. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

St. Thomas Howell.

SPEAKER_01

Ruther Howard. Sagol and pony.

SPEAKER_00

What? Yeah.

unknown

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Yeah, the hitcher. They don't even they don't even show her getting pulled apart. You just hear it. Yeah. Yeah. It's not that bad. Do you have a subtitle something? Does it say squelching? I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

Wet squelching noises.

SPEAKER_00

Wet squelch.

SPEAKER_01

Charlie, it is your turn. You can pick three, four, five, or eight.

SPEAKER_00

Four.

SPEAKER_01

Four. All right. This is a four-star review.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

A 1960 movie about a man who filmed his victims as they died, broke the rules, and crossed the line. It was so loathed on its first release that it was pulled from theaters and effectively ended the career of one of Britain's greatest directors. Why did critics and the publics hate it so? I think because it didn't allow the audience to lurk anonymously in the dark, but implicated us in the voyeurism of the title character. I got this one I think.

SPEAKER_03

I think I got this one, but I want to hear it again.

SPEAKER_00

This is on Justin, this is on our 100 horror movies scratch off list. It was one that I saw, and I can't remember the fucking name of it.

SPEAKER_02

I think I got it.

SPEAKER_01

There's a couple clues in the uh like the recording.

SPEAKER_00

Read it again.

SPEAKER_01

A 1960 movie about a man who filmed his victims as they died, broke the rules, and crossed the line. It was so loathed on its first release that it was pulled from theaters and effectively ended the career of one of Britain's greatest directors. Why did critics and the public hate it so? I think because it didn't allow the audience to lurk anonymously in the dark, but implicated us in the voyeurism of the title character.

SPEAKER_00

Is it the voyeur?

SPEAKER_01

It is not the voyeur. Would you like to guess?

SPEAKER_03

Is it the um Go ahead?

SPEAKER_01

It's Peeping Tom, right? It's Peeping Tom.

SPEAKER_03

I thought it was like the one the screwdriver killer that was a video nasty back in Britain.

SPEAKER_01

Peeping Tom.

SPEAKER_00

No, he likes sets up these videos. It's black and white. He sets up a film recorder and like kills people on film.

SPEAKER_01

He had like a mirror on the end of a spear, and he would like stab the victim while they're watching themselves being stabbed and watching their face change as they're dying. It's fucked up. Poughkeepsie tapes. It's fucked up.

SPEAKER_03

That's the most romantic thing.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, Justin, your last pick. You get three, five, or eight. Eight? Why not? All right. You got a zero-star review. And this is a survival horror. There is one thing I can't believe about this film, and that is that on March 30th, Michael Cain passed up his chance to accept his Academy Award in person because of his commitment to this movie. Maybe he was thinking the same thing as the marine biologist in the film that if you go right back in the water after something terrible happens to you, you might be too afraid to ever go back again. Michael Cain. Not on this show, but we've already mentioned it a couple times. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

This is like some inception shit. No more points. Batman begins. No, I got, I don't, I can't come up with it right now. Anybody got a guess?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Jaws 3, the revenge. Jaws the revenge.

SPEAKER_01

Jaws 4. Michael Cain was in Jaws 4.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Four or three? Nuance.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Alright. Apollo, you get to pick three or five.

SPEAKER_03

Five.

SPEAKER_01

Five. You got a four-star review. Who is the reliable observer? Whose idea of events whose idea of events can we trust? In the opening scene at a job interview, the characters seem reliable enough, although the dialogue has a formality that echoes the small talk on the space station in 2001.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Is this a zero or four?

SPEAKER_01

This is a four-star review.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, go ahead.

SPEAKER_01

Who is the reliable observer? Whose idea of events can we trust? In the opening scene at a job interview, the characters seem reliable enough, although the dialogue has a formality that echoes the small talk on the space station in 2001. 2001 is in the case.

SPEAKER_02

Look behind me, maybe.

SPEAKER_00

No, the shining.

SPEAKER_01

It's the shining, but I can't give it to you. No, give it to me. No, I can't give it. You gave up. Yeah, it's the shining.

SPEAKER_00

Look at the one poster on the wall behind me.

SPEAKER_02

I'm just saying in general, get behind me, you know? All right.

SPEAKER_00

Charlie.

SPEAKER_01

Let's see here.

SPEAKER_00

Great.

SPEAKER_01

Charlie's. This is a zero-star review, and this is a psychological thriller. The movie is creepy, unpleasant experience, made all the worst because it stars children too young to understand the horrible things we see them doing. This is a very evil little boy. The movie could have been called Henry Portrait of a Future Serial Killer.

SPEAKER_03

I know what movie this is.

SPEAKER_00

Children of the Corn.

SPEAKER_01

That is incorrect. Really? You want to guess it?

SPEAKER_03

No, that was my guess.

SPEAKER_01

Is it the Good Sun? It is the Good Sun. Too bad. See, that would have been great at this category. Wait, I had the same. All right. The Good Sun. That was the first R-rated movie I saw in the theater. Let's see. Justin got one. Apollo got one. Oh sweet. Charlie got one. I would like to wager more than a half, please. Is there a final? Waiter. Justin had two. Charlie, none, Apollo. So let's see. Two, zero, two. That brings our totals two. Where were we at? Charlie had 33. I gotta write this down. Alright. Charlie had 33. Justin has five. And Apollo is up to 24. Five. Hundred. 500, that is.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like I always just start off strong with these. Maybe I haven't been bagging.

SPEAKER_01

The final round before we get to our final stab in the dark. Round three. This is two truths and a lie. You guys know how this game works? Yeah, do we is there 15 points per correct answer? There are three. So two truths and a lie. I will list off three facts about a horror movie, except one of those facts is going to be a lie. You guess the lie, you get three points. Okay. Sound good? Yeah, by the way, by the way, uh, then you're out. Also, okay, so if you if you guess, I was gonna say what you could steal. We'll say you can steal. Fuck it. We'll give out some points. Only Justin can steal. So if you guess the lie, you get three points. If you guess wrong, the next person has a 50-50 chance of getting it. If they get it wrong, the third person gets a point by default. Yay! All right.

SPEAKER_00

So three, two, one.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Three-one one. Three-one one.

SPEAKER_00

Three-one one.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. All right. By the way, one of the questions is a super duper bonus question where if you get that guess that question, if you pick that question and get it right, it's worth six points. Oh, it's not a jack, it's not a jackpot round where I can just take whatever.

SPEAKER_00

Audio day daily double.

SPEAKER_01

All right. So, Justin, because you are trailing, you will get to go first. I have nine movies here, so just like we just did, pick a number one through nine. One. One. All right. Not the super duper bonus question. All right. This is for the movie Dolly. Here are three facts. One of them is a lie. The scenic overlook sign on the trail in the woods is a nod to the overlook hotel from the shining. Based on the 2022 short film Baby Girl. Dolly is played by WWE superstar Max the Impaler. One of those is a lie. Which one is it? The second one. Based on the 2022 for short film Baby Girl. That is a fact. Apollo, you get to pick. One or three. Um is the scenic overlook sign on the trail in the woods a nod to the overlook hotel from the shining? And Dolly is played by WWE Superstar Max the Impaler.

SPEAKER_02

One.

SPEAKER_01

One one is a fact.

SPEAKER_02

Dang it.

SPEAKER_01

You guys just gave Charlie a free point. He's going to lead. Dolly is played by Max the Impaler, who is not a WWE superstar. She was an AEW wrestler. Oh, that's oh wow. So there you go.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. Only a wrestling guy with the whole shit. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Rude, Apollo says. All right. Apollo, it is your turn. Pick a number two through nine.

SPEAKER_03

Nine.

SPEAKER_01

Nine. Let's see here. Number nine. Not the super duper bonus question. This is from the movie Hostile.

SPEAKER_03

Oh god.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Three facts. One of them is a lie. Josh Brolin has a cameo in the film as a German man screaming from a window. Paul Giamatti was going to be cast as one of the clients in the murder torture club, but scheduling didn't align and he did not appear in the film. Slovakia was worried that this film would deter tourists from visiting, so they wanted Eli Roth to showcase the nicest parts of the country. They were right. He assured them that despite a film like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, people still go to Texas. One of those is a lie.

SPEAKER_03

I'm gonna say one.

SPEAKER_01

That is correct. It is not Josh Brolin, it is Quentin Tarantino who has the cameo in the film.

SPEAKER_03

Is that one point, right?

SPEAKER_01

That is three points.

SPEAKER_03

Oh god.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that made it a game. That made it an interesting game. Yeah. All right. Three for Apollo. Let me let me go to my oh, so is it like um like if you get like it on the first try? Yeah, yep, yep. All right. So Charlie, it is your turn. Pick a number one, I'm sorry, two through eight. Six. Six. This is for the film Scream Two. Two Truths and a Lie. Titles for the sequel that were considered were Scream Again, Scream Louder, and simply Scream the Sequel. Screen two was greenlit for production before the original even finished its theatrical run. Did I say all that right? Or did I fumble those fucking words? That sounded right. Okay. Last one. Robert Rodriguez directed the scenes for Stab, the movie Inside the Scream Universe. One of those three is a lie.

SPEAKER_00

Number one.

SPEAKER_01

Number one is truth. Those were some considered titles for Scream 2. Justin, you get to steal for a point. That one is the lie. Wes Craven also directed the scenes for stab inside of Scream 2.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

unknown

Alright.

SPEAKER_01

Justin's got a point. Let's see. So we're at Apollo has three. He just wants to shout out that I have seven points. Some bullshit. I mean it's Justin. Charlie Charlie's got one by default. Okay. Alright. That was now it's Justin's turn. Yay. Three. Three. Super bonus. Not the super duper bonus question. This is from The Bride. Oh no. Didn't see it. The most the Maggie Gillinal. I do like it. It was good. After some negative test screenings, a lot of violence was removed from the final cut of the film. Maggie Gillinal cast her brother Jake Gillinal and her husband John Megaro into roles in the film. Netflix was on board to make the movie, but backed out when Jill and all wanted to shoot in New York instead of New Jersey. One of those is a lie. I don't think Jake was in this, so I'm going to say Jake. That one is the lie, but not for the reason you said. You still get the points, though. He she did cast her brother, Jake Gillinal, in the movie. He's in it. And her husband, though, is not John Megaro. Her husband is Peter Sarsgaard, who is also. So that's the lie.

SPEAKER_00

One of those Scars Guards?

SPEAKER_01

Peter. No, not Skarsgard, Sarsgard. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But Justin, good enough for three points.

SPEAKER_02

I'm on a roll. All right. Have you seen that bit where it's like Adam Driver looks like somebody tried to draw Keanu Reeves from memory?

SPEAKER_01

Alright. Apollo, two, four, five, seven, or eight, I think. Two, four, five, seven, eight. Two. Two. This is for Evil Dead Rise.

SPEAKER_03

Didn't watch it.

SPEAKER_01

Sam Raimi's 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 doesn't appear in the film. Was originally titled Lee Cronin's Evil Dead Rise. Despite Sam Raimi's approval as a producer on the film, the studio made Lee drop his name from the title. The sound of Ellie biting a man's eyeball out is a recording of Bruce Campbell aggressively eating an apple. One of those is a lie.

SPEAKER_03

I'm gonna go two.

SPEAKER_01

Two is correct. I totally made that bullshit up. Wait. What was two?

SPEAKER_03

Wait, so I was correct. That was still okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, three more points. Lee Cronin did direct it, but just like Lee Cronin's the mummy, this is not Lee Cronin's Evil Dead Rise. So Apollo got three more points.

SPEAKER_03

I like that fact about the apple. That was very funny.

SPEAKER_01

That is a cool fact. I like that one. And I think it's the only Evil Dead film that Raimi's Ultimate doesn't appear in. That was Apollo's pick for Evil Dead Rise. So it is Charlie's turn. You can pick four, five, seven, or eight. Seven. Not the super duper bonus question.

SPEAKER_00

God damn it.

SPEAKER_01

Seven is the film Primate. Takes place in Hawaii, which claims to be a rabies free state due to strict animal quarantine laws. The Cliffside Mansion in the film is actually filmed in Malibu, California, as a stand-in for Hawaii. The chimpanzee named Ben was portrayed using practical effects and no CGI. One of those is a lie.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it looks like a guy in a monkey suit.

SPEAKER_01

Number two is correct. The Cliffside Mansion was actually in London. Foggy London. Oh yeah. Yeah, I wouldn't guess that either. But yeah, that's the lie. Charlie board with three. Finally. I mean, you stole one and then you got a three spot there, so you got four for this round.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't steal shit. I got it because nobody could get it right.

SPEAKER_01

You guys are doing good. I'm on this one.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't do fucking shit.

SPEAKER_01

Justin? I didn't do shit. It's your pick. You have four, five, or eight. Eight. Eight. Justin picked for the super duper bonus question. Four yeah, four yeah, four. Super duper bonus. It's the film pieces.

SPEAKER_00

Oh is it?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it is.

SPEAKER_04

Honestly. Yeah, it is. Too much truth.

SPEAKER_01

For six points. Two of these are a truth and one is a lie.

SPEAKER_00

Um chat chat because he's so I love that fucking movie.

SPEAKER_01

Me too. That's why it's the super duper bonus question. All right. Two truths and a lie for pieces.

SPEAKER_02

33% chance.

SPEAKER_01

Most of the blood and guts used were actual blood and organs taken from a nearby slaughterhouse.

SPEAKER_03

I sure hope not.

SPEAKER_01

One of the actresses actually urinated herself as they used a real chainsaw inset just inches away from her face and they left her accident in the film.

SPEAKER_02

That's true. So now I have a 50% chance. Yeah, I remember that.

SPEAKER_01

They used Jamie Lee Curtis's scream from Halloween in the trailer for the film. Ooh, in the trailer. One of those is a lie. Two of those are true. Trying to think of the guts in it to see if they were for six points.

SPEAKER_02

For six points. Was there that much attention paid to the guts? I'm gonna go with the guts one.

SPEAKER_01

That is incorrect. They did use blood and organs taken from a nearby slaughterhouse. If Apollo is paying attention, she knows what the response is. Three. It is three instead of James Curtis's scream. They used Janet Lee's scream from the shower scene in Psycho in the trailer.

SPEAKER_03

How many points is that?

SPEAKER_01

You got three points. Awesome. Apollo's up to nine for this round. And then it is your turn now, Apollo. You get to pick four or five. She's gonna mess around and win this thing.

SPEAKER_03

What?

SPEAKER_00

So you're gonna mess around and win. Don't fuck around and make it into Olympics.

SPEAKER_03

Let's do five.

SPEAKER_01

Five. This is Sleepaway Camp.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I didn't watch that. Oh, I see.

SPEAKER_01

Alright. Two truths and a lie. Phylissa Rose was only 16 during filming. The ending was filmed using a nude male wearing a mask of Phylissa Rose's face. Writer-director Robert Hiltsick attended the campground used for filming as a child. Two of those are true, one is a lie.

SPEAKER_03

Two are true.

SPEAKER_01

Two truths and a lie.

SPEAKER_03

I thought you said I thought was the other one. My bad. Can I hear number one again?

SPEAKER_01

Phyllisa Rose was only 16 years old during filming.

SPEAKER_03

Let's do one.

SPEAKER_01

It is one. She was 13 years old.

SPEAKER_02

Oh no. What's in that movie? I thought she had nudie, but no, it was just the end scene.

SPEAKER_01

The end was a male body, not hers. But yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But still. Hey, Apollo's got 12 points this round so far. Actually, as I go.

SPEAKER_00

Holy shit.

SPEAKER_01

That means Charlie, this is your last film, is number four. This is the last one before our final round. And this is the film Send Help.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that was a that that was the recent one? Yes. I loved that one.

SPEAKER_01

Survivor, Two Truths and A Lie. Survivor host Jeff Propst was reluctant about the family-friendly reality show appearing in a horror film, so he declined the chance to appear in the film. Rachel McAdams was Raimi's first choice for the lead role. Was going to be made during the COVID-19 pandemic as direct to streaming. Raimi was against this and started shopping it until a studio would put it in theaters. Two of those are truth. One is the lie. You're correct. Yes. Jeff Propes actually was a fan, but scheduling didn't work out, and that's why he's not in the film. But they tried to make it work. Boom. Charlie, three more points. You guys snuffed out those lies pretty good. Two of you did.

SPEAKER_04

Justin. I did all right. For that round.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Justin got four for that round. Charlie got seven. Apollo got twelve, which brings us two. Let's see. Justin at four, which brings Justin to nine. Oh no. Right? Let's see. Justin is at nine. I want to talk about it. Apollo got twelve that round, and let's see. You were at where were you at? I think she claimed the game. I need to do a better job of twelve. 24 plus 12 is 36. And stupid fancy. Charlie had 30. Let's see. Charlie had seven that round and started the round with 33. So Charlie's up to 40. Charlie, 40. Apollo, 36. Justin, nine. 90.

SPEAKER_00

Justin's gonna win it.

SPEAKER_01

Even if Justin bets at all.

SPEAKER_02

Actually, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, yeah, you can we can wager whatever. So it depends on whatever people do. It depends what they do.

SPEAKER_00

And even Apollo could bet high and get it wrong.

SPEAKER_01

All right. This is the final stab in the dark. Yeah. And this time it's a matching question. So after hearing the question, you may wager as many points as you like, get it right and gain those points, get it wrong and lose those points. So Justin can wager up to nine, Apollo can wager up to 36. Charlie can wager up to 40. For your final stab in the dark, I want you to match four horror films with their Rotten Tomatoes Critics Score. Okay. And this is what you're gonna want to write down. I want you to write down on one side of your paper the four horror films. Ready? Yep. A The Lost Boys. B Night Patrol. C Audition. D, the Lawnmower Man. James Bond's in that one, man. Jeff Aid. Yeah, Jeff Aid. Alright, and then on the right side, I want you to write down the following Rotten Tomatoes critic scores. One, thirty-five percent, two, fifty-four percent, three, seventy-five percent, four, eighty-one percent. Now I want you to match the movie with the score, and if you get it, and I want you to wager what year was Night Patrol? This one? This okay. 2025. Unless it was 2025. The Justin Long one that just came out. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Do we have to get all of them right?

SPEAKER_01

You have to get all of them right to to get the points. Alright. So before, take your time, and I will you know edit this down. So if you're listening, go ahead and pause this and make your wager, make your guess. If you're driving your car, I hope you're not writing on a notepad like these guys are. When you are ready, when all three of you are ready, let me know.

SPEAKER_02

I'm ready. I am also ready.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, Justin is in last, so we'll start with him. Justin, what did you wager? Three points. Justin wagered three points. So he can be six or twelve, depending on how this goes. And what did you put for your answer, Justin? Okay. Lost Boys, I had it 75.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Night Patrol, I had it 54. Okay. Lawnmower Man 35 and Audition 81.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Apollo, you are second place at 36. What was your wager?

SPEAKER_03

I'm gonna do that.

SPEAKER_01

How much did you wager? Yeah. I'm gonna do six points. Six points. So you can finish with 30 or 42.

SPEAKER_03

And my answers were Lost Boys at 81%. I don't know what Night Patrol was, but Night Patrol at 75%, Audition at 54%, and the Lawnmower Man at 35%.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Charlie, you're the leader of 40. What was your wager?

SPEAKER_00

I wager zero.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

And I did see Lone More Man 35. Night Patrol 54. Lost Boy 75. Audition 80.

SPEAKER_01

Did you pick the same as me?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Alright. Here is the final stab in the dark answer. The Lost Boys. 75%. Night Patrol 54%. Yes. Audition. 35%. No. Just one of those boring ones. Audition is 81%. The lawnmower man, 35%. Justin and Charlie both got it right. Justin finishes with 12. Charlie 40. Apollo drops to 30. She did second place. And just like I predicted, Charlie put his thinking cap on and his bets foot forward and smoked you fools. With 40 points. Charlie is our winner. Let's give it up for Charlie. Now's the point where you tell him that he does have to host, right? Oh, yeah. All that was bullshit. You're hosting the next one.

SPEAKER_00

You're a tricksie bunch you are.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Well, that was fun. Did you guys have fun with that? No.

SPEAKER_00

I love being a contestant. I hate being a host.

SPEAKER_01

See, I don't mind being a host, honestly. This this I feel like when I'm a contestant, I'm too on the spot. I feel stupid when I'm a contestant and like miss something super obvious. I think we've determined that I'm not good with remembering what years movies came out in.

SPEAKER_03

Same.

SPEAKER_02

So this crushed me.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Was there many year questions? Yeah, that whole second one where you could get a million points for knowing what came out 24 through 25.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like that was kind of easy because there were so many good movies they came out. There were. There were. I just got the thing is I'm stupid and I think.

SPEAKER_02

It's a weird straddle, though.

SPEAKER_00

It's not like no, you're not stupid, Apollo. You pulled out some answers on the body. Beat your dad.

SPEAKER_03

My dad wasn't trying at this point. Look at look at the notebook for proof.

SPEAKER_00

No, I'm still trying. I'm just saying.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, Justin, here's your Tide Pod. Consume it. Does it count if you just swallow the role? And since Apollo beats you, she is taking your spot on this podcast.

SPEAKER_04

Awesome.

SPEAKER_01

And this is also her basement, so we don't have to change locations either. Welcome aboard, Apollo. Hi, Justin, you're on fill in, dude. She's been evicted. Oh god. Hope you guys had a lot of fun. Hope you if you played along at home. Maybe you beat Charlie. Maybe you didn't. Hope you enjoyed that as well. Probably. All right. Anything else you got, guys? Yeah, disappointed we didn't have movie posters to guess. Maybe next time. Okay. I tried to change up a couple of categories.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, did we talk about the we should talk about the movies we've seen like super recently?

SPEAKER_02

No, we'll save that. We gotta save that for the I mean if we want to. If we want to, but like we'll tease it. That's yeah, we'll tease it. There's been some good ones that I've seen.

SPEAKER_00

There have been some great movies out recently.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, it's no secret that obsession and backrooms are doing fucking bonkers numbers at the box office against a Star Wars film of all things.

SPEAKER_03

All it's got going out? Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Grogu.

SPEAKER_03

All it's got going for it is it's pretty good too. So doubt.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. No secret that horror's in a good place right now. It's a good place with young directors that are dealing their absolutely. But yeah. Remember this year, Justin. There might be a question about it on a future episode of Stab Dark. That obsession came out in 2026. Yeah, we are still in 2026.

SPEAKER_02

You forgot what year it was. Yeah. I forgot. And I think we're gonna do. Aren't we gonna once they make the announcement for categories? We're gonna do a lot of it.

SPEAKER_01

We'll do an episode covering it. Oh, yeah. Ask them to get their hall of fame in fucking line. Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, those stupid motherfuckers.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, maybe maybe that's why maybe we're doing the Lord's work in in with our Hall of Fame. I think so.

SPEAKER_00

I hope we are. Well, okay, no.

SPEAKER_01

Well, Alfred Hitchcock is in it, Wes Craven's in it, John Carpenter's in it. John Carpenter. Fangory's got some planning to do.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that is fair.

SPEAKER_02

Herbert West and I like Crampton being in it, though.

SPEAKER_03

I know, but like some of it is strictly like just camp films at that point. Like I think that's Jeffrey Combs specializes in weird characters, and I think it was kind of strange to see him on there.

SPEAKER_02

But you stood there talking to him for like 10 minutes.

SPEAKER_03

God, I loved him, dude. He was he was a little scary to talk to, though.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he he corrected her. She was like, hey, can you put this quote on my uh picture? And he's like, that was actually from the second movie.

SPEAKER_03

I like wanted to put it pictures from the first movie.

SPEAKER_02

Oh snap. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

No, it's not funny.

SPEAKER_02

Fake fan.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, I swear. No, it's just my favorite quote. Like my favorite all-time Herbert West quote. But yeah, I've met I've met Jeffrey Combs. Don't mean to brag.

SPEAKER_01

Let's talk about let's talk about how three of their Hall of Famers are connected to the Terminator. Lance Hendrickson is in the Terminator. It's just from Aliens, I guess. He's from Alien as well. And Near Dark. And Near Dark. Yeah. Near Dark. And then and Pumpkinhead. I guess he's been in a lot of stuff. Dick Miller.

SPEAKER_03

Didn't mom meet one of the guys from Pumpkinhead?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I don't know what it was. Gale and Heard. Anything else? I don't want to end on that note. Somebody else talked about something.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there's some cool trailers that we got to talk about next time, too. What I've heard. You've been watching trailers 26.

SPEAKER_01

I watch enough to be like, oh, that's ice cream man. Oh yeah. I close my eyes, but I yeah, I saw like five seconds. I'm like, ice cream man, close my eyes. All I'm gonna say is you guys are so weird. I love I just don't want anything given away. Dude, they give away something away. They give away something. Evil Dead Burn looks like they give away major kill.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you saw my face.

SPEAKER_01

When I I stopped watching trailers when I the trailer for It Chapter 2 came out, and the trailer was basically the scene where Jessica Chastain goes to her home with the old lady and the T turns to blood. And like that the trailer was basically that scene. And I'm like, you just ruined like that whole scene. Five minutes, yeah. That whole seven minutes. I mean, I mean, obviously, I know what's happen what's probably gonna happen, but still, like they played like practically that whole scene as the trailer. And I'm like, I guess I'm not watching trailers anymore. I wanted to be in the theater, I wanted to be in the theater and see her turn that quarter. Oh stop.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, fuck off. I was got something to say.

SPEAKER_03

I would just like to say, if there isn't news about creep three soon, I'm going to lose my mind.

SPEAKER_02

I'm getting oh you we don't have any news for you. Sorry.

SPEAKER_03

I know. Uh you better be on that.

SPEAKER_02

We'll be on it. That guy was in back rooms.

SPEAKER_03

Ask Mark Mark DuPlass was in, he was Phil. I almost screamed, like genuinely. I started like cackling.

SPEAKER_02

It was she's weird, guys. You should watch the league.

SPEAKER_03

I'm not watching the league. I I like his more serious stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Anyway.

SPEAKER_03

Not that the not that creep is serious at all. Thanks for preparing this for us.

SPEAKER_00

Thanks, Mike. Hey, how long does Charlie have to decide if he wants to host? No, I'm not gonna host it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, he's already decided. Well, he won, so I'll host the next one. It's fine. I like doing it. I like pictures.

SPEAKER_02

What if I host? Well, why don't you prepare a round and we'll sneak it in one of these times? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe.

SPEAKER_02

And then the three of us can play head to head.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

All right, guys.

If you want to make fun of martyrs.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no one's gonna do that. Everyone loves martyrs. Do you like martyrs, Apollo?

SPEAKER_03

Do I like martyrs? No. I mean, kind of.

SPEAKER_01

Kind of. Not really. It wasn't up. It's not it's not for everybody.

SPEAKER_03

I'm I'm telling you guys.

SPEAKER_01

Wait, I already got my Christmas movie picked out. It's gonna make martyrs look like fucking gremlins.

SPEAKER_03

Your guys' podcast is called All Got So Gory, but there's been quite a lack of gore films. All right.

SPEAKER_01

Evil Dead 2, we just did. Okay, yeah, but sure.

SPEAKER_03

I really think you guys should branch out and we named it that. Because it's clever. Okay. I think you should do some gross out films. I think you should. We will. It'll get more views.

SPEAKER_00

Apollo is definitely out. Justin, you're back. Yep, Justin's back.

SPEAKER_01

Is it really that bad? You can't shit on the podcast anyway. I'm not. I need advice. Just playing. All right. Anyway, this is the All Guts So Gory podcast, or the All Guts kinda gory podcast. Yeah. Andy, take us home.

SPEAKER_02

This is the end friendly.
