We've come so far with like, oh, men need to go to therapy. We need to move away from men in therapy. Cause they're weaponizing it. Welcome to the Saints and Sisters podcast, everyone. I'm Lizzie. I'm the Saint. I'm Hannah. I'm the Sister. And this is our podcast. How was your week? It was great. Thank you. Let me think. It was spring break. Oh, fun. So we just were out and about doing random things. We went to the splash pad a couple times. We went to the library. Is it only one week or out of here? Is it two weeks? It's one week. Okay. Yeah. For those wondering, I have kept up on my temple goal.

SPEAKER_01

Yay.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. So that's been going good. Um.

SPEAKER_01

Tell me about your socks.

SPEAKER_00

My socks. I kind of thought that since the nylons were rolling down, I would just wear like white socks and my long dress, and I just wouldn't worry about it. But you can definitely tell I'm not wearing knee highs, so I just need to figure something out. So this is where you're gonna think I'm crazy. Compression socks. I don't think you're crazy. I like compression socks. I looked into them because I was like, oh, Hannah has really long socks. But they were just kind of expensive, so I was like, oh, I'll just try my white ones, but I think I will do that. Compression socks for the wind. Also, I went yesterday and my feet were swelling from sitting for so long. Compression socks. So I just need compression socks anyway. Um speaking of compression socks, me and Hannah are gonna wear a body compression sock because of what? I made her watch the live-action Cinderella.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And her waist, we literally were just fascinated. We couldn't pay attention to anything. We were just like, it's literally one centimeter. It's truly so small. And the poofy dress just makes it look even smaller. Yeah. So that was I had I had seen that movie once before in like 2016. However, at the time I was watching it at a friend's house, and there was a person there that I didn't like, and I just couldn't focus on the movie because I was so angry that they were there. So it was a whole thing. I was a drama queen. Um, and did you like it today? I did, it was good. It's cute. When I woke up and I realized that we were watching a different Cinderella movie than the one that I fell asleep to. Because this is the second Cinderella movie today, in case you guys are wondering. Um I fell asleep, I woke up and I went, oh my gosh, it's this one. How cool, let's watch it. Yes, Rosie's on kind of a Cinderella kick, which basically means basically means that she liked one little Cinderella doll, and I have been like, I have to show her every Cinderella movie temperature exists. By the way, if you like, you know, like Hannah and I watched the original Cinderella like cartoon growing up and now never watch it because you're like, oh yeah, like I know this movie, you've seen it before the movie, whatever. You have to re-watch it. Rewatch it. It is amazing. It is stunning. It is so amazing. Truly, and it's it's paced even better than the new one. Agree. The new one happens so quickly. Yeah. She gets home from the ball and stuff and there goes, hmm. I know, it's you. Yeah. Whereas in the first movie, that's not the thing. Yeah. Oh, it's such a good movie. It's so good. So go watch it. So good. Anyway. And then watch the movies where the sisters get a redemption arc. True. Hannah, how was your week? My week was really good, actually. Um, this last week we had a cousin from out of town come visit. Um, and that was really fun just to get to see them and to hang out. Um, it was really good, and then Lauren and I on Sunday went to the Renfair, which was really fun. Oh yeah, was that fun? It was so fun. We had such a good time. Um, we spent significantly less money than we thought we would. Lauren was convinced that we would spend hundreds of dollars. And while he's not wrong that we spent probably$200 combined, we spent only$200 combined, and that was with food. So you did spend hundreds of dollars? Yes. But we didn't spend like$800. You know. He was thinking we were gonna spend so much money, and I'm like, there's no way. Um, however, this time I was like, yeah, we're getting the frozen lemonade. And yes, I'm getting the chicken on a stick because it's the run fair. Damn it. And I'm gonna do something fun. Yes, I love this for you. So that was really fun. Well, do you have any pictures you can put? Uh no, because we didn't take any pictures. Okay, I'm mad at you. Only took a video of Lauren um doing like a forge thing. He was forging his own uh what did he make? He made a wand, is what he did, because my husband's a nerd. Oh cute. But he got to like hammer it and everything. It was really cool. Cute. So no cute run fair pictures, but maybe I can post Lauren hammering. Speaking of um our cousin coming to town.

SPEAKER_01

We went to a bookstore.

SPEAKER_00

We went to a bookstore. I will not name the bookstore.

SPEAKER_01

I mean it's a cute bookstore.

SPEAKER_00

No free advertisement. And they had. I don't know, maybe this is the most warm thing I did this week. They had a little keychain. We should say that it was a romance bookstore. If you want to call it that. It's what it was. It was a romance bookstore. Pause in your story. I'm so sorry. Lauren and I at the Renfair, we were at this little shop, and it at- we it says, to see the more naughty things, ask at the front desk. I was like, okay, I'm kind of curious as to what this is. Oh my gosh, Lizzie, with so many penises. Like carved penises. I was like Carved? Yeah. I don't get it. Like it's just like a keychain, but it's penis. Or it's stone, but it's penis, or it's like brass poured into a penis mold. It was horrifying. And did you get a keychain? No, I closed it. And she went, What did you think I meant? Or like, what did you think of the sign of meant? And I went, I really had no idea. But this was not it.

SPEAKER_01

You could tell she was offended that I was like so thrown off by just this box of penises.

SPEAKER_00

That was horrifying.

SPEAKER_01

It was horrible. I don't even know if that will make it into the box.

SPEAKER_00

That was indecent exposure. Yeah, I should have been warned. Yeah. Um anyways, continue. But yeah, so we went to this little bookshop and it has like all these romance books. And there was this keychain with this abbreviation on it. I will not state the abbreviation, but I was like trying so hard to figure out what it meant, and when Hannah said it to me, it's sexually explicit if that's not clear. Lizzie was shook. I literally was so her sweet little Mormon brain could not handle it. She had to take a picture so that she could show everybody and make them guess. I'll put it on the post. You guys can see if we can guess it.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think we can put it on the post.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway, so glad you had a good week.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Um, we don't really have a word gossip today because this episode, there has just been so much that's happened. We're just gonna kind of be gossiping. Yeah, true. So should we just jump into our topics? First of all, Hannah. Yes. We have to acknowledge on the podcast. Yes, we do. We had a thousand downloads. Oh my gosh. It was truly Lizzie and I saw it at the same time. I texted her and she went, Oh my gosh, I was just about to text you. Incredible. I know, so exciting. Uh, we're so happy and we're so thankful for you guys for listening and you know, downloading the podcast and just oh no, being here for us. Yes, we love doing it, and we're so grateful for those of you that love listening. And yeah, we just thank you guys for your support. Yeah, we love both the compliments and the criticisms. Yes. Um, also, we should address off the bat, Hannah, your book of Mormon reading. So I know when the episodes air, they're gonna be a week apart. Yeah. But you didn't start reading a week ago, so what's your current update? So by the time this episode comes out, um, I will be done, is what I'm saying. As of today, Friday, the what is it, the 20th? Friday, March 20th, I am only on second Nephi, and I just started. Are you like on chapter one? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, which um Nephi is only like 50 pages long. And I was like, I could easily read 90-something pages in a day. However, I underestimated how boring the book is.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Not to be offensive. If you were searching for the meaning, not boring. If you're trying to read it as a book, horribly boring. Well, we're excited for this update. It's a good one. Um, we have kind of a funny story.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, we do.

SPEAKER_00

So we were all out celebrating our sister's birthday, and I see on our podcast email address, which by the way, guys, email us. We'd love it. Yeah. It'd be better than what we're getting now. I was so thrilled because we get this email, and I don't open it just yet because I'm out, and it's like, hey, I'm a huge fan. I'm from the UK. So instantly. We're thrilled. Or like, oh my gosh, a listener from the UK. That's crazy. I think the farthest we go is West Virginia right now. Right. Like somebody who's not someone who already knows us, who just like happened upon our podcast and enjoys it. Like, I was so touched and excited. So when I of course I tell everybody who's like out celebrating. And um, when I open the email, let me just give you a taste. It's extremely long and extremely strange. So I want to not be reading the whole thing. But this is just a taste. This is from Josh XO. I don't know, like if it's like I don't know what spam mail is. Like, is it like a robot? Is it a random like prank? I think it's like a robot or like just like a random person trying to get you to respond. Because I think he sent us another one. He did. Yeah. I haven't opened it yet. I haven't either. Okay. Hello, ladies. I got it open right now, though. Me and my girlfriend need your advice slash tips, slash tricks, slash tools, slash info, slash guidance. We're very thorough. Um we both in our 20s as well from UK. We both listen to your podcast and we love it. We both expecting our very first baby slash child together as a couple, as we expecting a baby daughter. We not do at least September slash October or possibly November. I'm like, what kind of do they have? Okay, then it gets kind of weird, which I'll skip about. He's asking the best ways to engage slash bond slash play slash love on his girlfriend's belly slash belly button slash baby bump. So I'll skip some of that. Umberries.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, because this one it says we also want to know how to blow raspberries on our daughter's belly during summertime, either at home or blowing her belly on sand at beach during beach days with her during summer. That's the that's the whole email. That's the whole email. That's the second email. Yeah. Um this one has a lot of raspberry talk. We both want to know any good ways of making our daughter giggle slash laugh is tickling her belly or blowing raspberries slash belly farts slash belly blows slash zerberts. I've never heard of a zerbert. What's a zerbert? Um, is it good for our child's oxytocin or child's tactile stimulation or our child's cortisol? I love how thorough it is. This says. Um, also, can we carry on belly blowing throughout ages, one to twelve months or one to twelve years old? Or is there a cut point where she might start hating them or growing out of them? Uh, probably. Unfortunately, the whole email gives me an extremely creepy vibe. And it's like so hilarious, but then it's kind of creepy.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So anyway, and then it ends with could you ladies do an episode discussing and talking about all of our questions, please, and giving advice, guidance from each of you to each of our questions, please? Anyways, Josh XO, if you're listening, um, the answer is to go get help. Maybe talk to your girlfriend slash wife slash someone, baby mama, baby mama, slash partner, slash spouse. And uh talk to her about this because there's no way. Yes, good luck with the Zurberts.

SPEAKER_01

We should just block this guy right now, actually.

SPEAKER_00

Let us know if you guys have ever heard the term Zurbirds. Or if you have any idea on if you would ever be due in September or October or possibly November. Yes. Love the pregnancy timeline. That's killing me. I forgot to say, speaking of our episode last week with the Book of Mormon, um, Hannah, you you had something you wanted to say. And I hate it. And I hate it, just so you all know. Do you know that I really hate an apology, and especially an apology to men. So my husband was listening to the episode, and we had mentioned how, you know, we would rather probably I was like, I'd probably rather do an Eagle Scout. And I was just like, it's probably easier. My husband then informed me that indeed getting an Eagle Scout is not easier. Yes, we have the multi, you know, what is it, 80-hour projects that we have to do? 10-hour projects. We have eight 10-hour projects. Yeah. There we go. Eight 10-hour projects, and then the big project at the end. However, Lauren had years of that with all of his scouts, the weebelows and the whatever else you turn into as a Boy Scout. Had to get all of his badges, and then he went and did his Eagle Scout project, which in which, in preparing to, he had to go talk to the school, like the school council about it. Like stand in front of the superintendent and talk about how he wanted to refinish the basketball court and destroy the old playground that was there because it was rickety and unused like no one could use it. And ask if they wanted him to build a new one. It was a whole thing. It took a lot more a lot more effort and time than I thought it would. Very big of you. Let's get into some big news of the week. This past week, the church announced that women can be in Sunday school presidencies. Now, some caveats. It's just at a ward level. So it's not like they're in the state Sunday school presidency, from what I can tell. Um and it's only one gender, so like it's either all men or all women. Oh. Yeah. So that's kind of weird. There will probably still be a lot of all male Sunday school presidencies. Thoughts. You lost me at the only one gendered. Because I was like, okay, yeah, progress. Like a woman serving in the Sunday school presidency. Yeah, great, but then it's just every I don't know. And it really is progress. It really is having the women be able to do something that's not just primary or relief society or young women's, which is still a lot, but you know, but then just to learn that it's still just the one gender, I'm just like, okay. Yeah, I just think that's vaguely annoying to me, but it's whatever. I think that's like everything in the church. Like, they don't mix. I am loving this because we were talking in our I think we probably inspired the change.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, we did.

SPEAKER_00

We were talking in our episode a while ago about like women in the priesthood. Dalin H. Oak said to stop listening to podcasters because he's listening to us now. And he didn't want you to notice the connection. We inspired him. Um a funny blasphemous joke, but we are joking. We were just talking about how there's a lot of callings that like have nothing really to do with the priesthood, but still women can't do them. So it's really exciting. That's true. Um, yeah, I'm very interested. I feel like there's probably gonna be a surge, like, probably all everyone called for the next little bit into the Sunday school presidency is gonna be women. Um I'm curious to see like how that continues. But yeah, very exciting news. Well, it kind of begs the question like what changes are coming in the future, because we had talked about multiple positions that were not technically priesthood positions that were always filled by men. Like I wonder, will we see girls own leaders? That'd be nice. Or I know we had talked about I didn't fully understand if this was like accurate doctrinally or not, but how passing the sacrament is not technically a priesthood thing. Like if we'll see girls pass the sacrament, like blessing a priesthood thing. Blessing is I have seen a couple people talking about that passing isn't, I don't know if that's true or not. The hard thing is like we were talking about with the presidencies, is like, you know, ward clerk. I don't think that's necessarily a priesthood thing, but they're not gonna have like one woman in a bishopric. So valid. So I don't know how much more of that we'll see, but yeah, very interesting. It also kind of is nice to see in I know we had talked in episodes about a couple times about how Delinate Oak seems to be taking more of a traditional stance on things, but actually I feel like his changes have all been the opposite. Like, I think he youngered the mission age for girls, didn't he? Or am I crazy? No, he did. And um now this, I don't know, so it's interesting. I will say I do think he is still swinging in a more traditional way. Like, yes, the girls do get to go younger, but they get to go younger so that way they can still get home and get married young. Like, the girls can go out at 18 now, but that's because going out at 21, they would have returned at 22 and 23, and that's far too old for women to be having children and getting married. Yeah, that was an interesting quote. We have a whole episode on that if you haven't heard it. Uh so another news today as we were scrolling the Instagrams. Lizzie came across and noticed that Heather Gay is writing another book. Which of course I'm excited for because I have read both of her books thus far. But this time, instead of like a a biography or a memoir, it's uh it's a horror novel. It's called Eternal Glow. And I'm so excited for it. Yeah, you are gonna have to read it and let me know if it's like sacrilege, because I want to read it too. So, do you want to read the little blurb that she posted about it? Yes. Eternal Glow follows a member of Utah's competitive Mormon mom group scene whose life unravels after receiving a mysterious invitation to undergo a miraculous beauty procedure. I'm curious. I am curious to see how this goes. And I am curious if it's gonna be a little sacrilege. I'm hoping not, but we'll see. Yeah, we'll see. I feel like there's no way it's not. I'm hoping it'll just be Mormon in culture and not in. Me too. Hmm. So but we'll see. I'm still definitely gonna read it. So with sacrilege or not, love me some sacrilege. Um yeah, I'm excited. So that comes out in October. Um, we'll have to do a little podcast book club with that one. Yes. Also, if any of you ended up reading Devout, send us your thoughts. Yeah, we want to know what you guys think. Okay, next in church news. This one is just like random, it's not really important. But this 4th of July, I guess, is the 250th birthday of the United States. Um the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square are going to be performing, and Andy Reid is going to be the narrator with the choir. The Chiefs coach? Yeah, he's Mormon. I knew that, but the Chiefs coach is gonna be Isn't that cool? That's kind of fun. It's like very America and Mormon. Flipballing Christianity. So I love to see it. I forgot that this year was the or not forgot, I didn't put together that this year was the 250. That's gonna be fun. I hope so. Um okay. Well, should we get into what everyone is here for? Absolutely. Us and only us. Lizzie, talk, tell me more about your life. We are the true Mormon wives. Guys, we have got to talk. And I'm sure by the time this comes out, everyone's gonna be sick to death of hearing about the secret lives of Mormon wives. I'm already sick of the same. And we still have like other things are gonna come out and they're gonna go old news, or things are gonna come out, and you're gonna be like, Well, you were wrong on this one. Remember that we're doing this on Friday the 20th. Yeah. So Anything that is now outdated, not my fault.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So we watched season four. Yes, it was a watch for sure. I enjoyed it at the beginning. I think everyone probably holds this opinion. Eventually, it was just like, how much Taylor Dakota are we gonna see? And how much dad talk? If I see Jordan one more time, I'm gonna lose it. Yeah. And he's like, oh my gosh, guys. Jordan has pissed me off to no end, unfortunately. With his like being the leader of dad talk. I know. What was that? He's a Taylor wannabe. Yeah. But also is probably already a Taylor. He has more in common with her than he thinks. So I'm cracking up. Um let's talk a couple of the biggest points. So obviously you're Team Whitney in the Whitney slash channel. I am Team Whitney. Yeah, me too. Well, here's the thing. I do like Jen, but she really lost me in this moment. Here's the thing I will say, and this is gonna be controversial. As somebody who has struggled in the past watching Whitney and feeling like she is not like being very authentic, I can understand Jen's frustration feeling like okay, Whitney like is just faking it for the Dancing with the Stars votes, and we're not actually real friends. But like you could have just said congrats or talk to her about it. Yeah. Yeah, you absolutely could have said congrats, that would have been great. Or and here is and here is something I wish I could take every single person on reality TV and just shake them and say, just talk to them. Yeah. Just ask them about it. Yeah. Say, hey, I don't feel like our relationship is authentic. And then they can be hurt. And then you guys can talk about it and have an adult conversation. Yeah. And not what Jen did, which is, well, I guess you're just not a good friend then. Yeah. I guess she's like, you never responded to me. And Jen's like, well, you expect me to respond all the time. Yes, Jen? Yeah. You expect everyone else to respond? I'm sorry. It is a hot you have to give the same energy that you are wanting. If you want a certain energy from someone, you have to give that. I know it's such a tangent, but this is just for so many other things than just the secret lives of Mormon Wives. Just talk to people. So true. It is driving me crazy. It's like, okay, I love to read, and my least favorite trope is the miscommunication trope. Yeah. When it's like, you know, she misunderstands what he says, and she's like, well, then I guess you hate me. And then runs away, and then he's like, no, I love her. And then they just split for months. Yeah. Because they no one understood what they were saying. I just want to shake them. And I'm seeing this in reality TV. Yeah. I'm even seeing it in my fake TV. And I'm like, no. You will lose me right here. Yeah, I hate that too. It's hard. I hate that too. Anyways, so sorry. That really No, the people are gonna resonate with that. Thank you. Just talk to people. And that goes for you guys too. That is gonna resonate with that. You have a problem. I don't even know what you said. I said people are gonna resonate with that. Oh. I feel like you can say it that way too. It's like a controversial thing. Like all the youngsters say, I resonate with that, but that's the wrong way. Let's talk about some other ones. So, um, who's your fave? Obviously Miranda. Well, obviously Whitney. Really more than your favorite is Whitney over Miranda? Uh, it's so hard. I love Whitney. I also do love Miranda. Um both. I'm team Whit Miranda. Whit Manda. I don't know if I have a fave this season. Like, I guess Miranda. I just wish that we like would get to see more of her. Yeah. I don't know. I honestly love Jesse. I know a lot of people think she's controverse. I feel like Jesse is pretty. I feel like Jessie was way more controversial with Demi. Yeah. Because she was very mean girl with Demi. However, since Demi has left, not before we had to hear that horrible rendition. Oh yeah. Um since Demi has left, she's been so much nicer. That was a tougher watch than I was expecting. Oh, 100%. Because when I see it on the trailer, I'm like, oh, that's gonna be funny. But watching it, how she genuinely like if she's playing a character, she fooled me because it was a hard watch. Like how she genuinely was like, what I'm hearing right now is not what I just heard in the car. Oh and then she sounds so bad. Oh, it was tough. I will be so honest, I understand her in that moment. Because in the car, I am a Broadway star. But she was talking about Brett. It doesn't matter. In the car, Lorne and I sound phenomenal together. We'll do karaoke versions of rewrite the stars because it's one of my favorites to do. I love the Zendaya part. And when we um do it outside of the car, I'm like, who is dying? What is going on? When I'm in a car, I'm literally a pop star. I love the goo, goo, goo, goo, go, goo, goo.

SPEAKER_01

It is a vocal warmup, in case you are wondering. I have indeed said my fair share of goo, goo, go, go, go, go, go, go. Also said goog.

SPEAKER_00

Goog. Alright, let's see. Um Layla and her whole storyline. I have to say, she does obviously start out as a producer pawn, and then right at the end is where she starts getting like real. Yeah. Which I'm so sad for Layla. Yeah. So I was watching it with with one of our cousins, and she pointed out instantly, she's like, she is starving. It was insane to me when she said that she was on trzepatide. Yeah. I know. Is that how you say it? Sorry, because that's not how you say it. But that was like so sad. I know. And then when she got rejected by the modeling agency, she's like, it's because I'm not thin enough. I was like, girl. I know. Ugh. So I just want to hug Layla. I know. And I'm really happy that she's broken up with Mason because I did not like Mason in this season. I know. I didn't like how he was acting with her kids, and I was glad she called him out often. Yeah. Um. Speaking of breakups, like everyone has broken up. Oh, 100%. Michaela and her husband are separated, question mark? Yeah, that one's confusing. Oh, she's living in California. I kind of think he's there. Because she's like strategically posting like only pieces. I kind of think he's there. But I can't tell. Um, but yeah, they separated. Um, Layla and Mason broke up yesterday. Brennan filed for divorce from Jesse. Yeah. Which all season they were talking about we don't know if we're gonna get a divorce or not. Girly, I hope your prenup is airtight. Girl, didn't you watch this one? I did, and she was so unsure, but it never resolved. I know. I really hope it is. I hope it's good. I know. Dumois reported that Jesse was going to file, and then when Jordan heard that, he like quick did it before her. And I guess, like, supposedly, allegedly tried to say in his filing that she isn't allowed to talk about him on a podcast. So But I don't think she signed the papers. That's what it said. I don't know. We'll see. We'll see when her episode with Alex Cooper comes out. Yes. Um anyway, was there anything else from the actual season that we need to talk about before we get into the Taylor of it all?

SPEAKER_01

I don't I don't think so.

SPEAKER_00

Unfortunately, it was a lot of Taylor. It was a lot of Taylor. A lot of dad talk. So Oh wait, can I just say I absolutely hated when the dad when dad talk went to the villa, right? Yeah. And the entire time they're like, I can't tell you. They said I can't tell you. To like their wives. That was so cringe. And I'm like, listen, first off, if it's production, you've signed an NDA, I guess that makes a little bit more sense. But also you can bet that if it's me and my husband behind closed doors and I've signed an NDA saying I'm not gonna tell what happened on TV, I'm gonna whisper it to him. But this was kind of a tough one because, like, okay, let's say it's this wasn't an NDA, this is bro code. Let's say it's me, you and Randall in the situation, okay? Randall goes to the villa with Lauren, you and Lauren are broken up. Ugh. How sad. Um he comes home and is like Lauren was hooking up with all these girls, and yeah. He's like, please don't tell Hannah. Of course, I want Randall to tell me everything because we're married, and I don't want to betray his trust because we're married, but you are my sister, or in their case, like best friends. Like, of course, I'm not gonna betray your trust by not telling you. I would expect that you wouldn't tell me. If we're being honest. Yeah. Because it's something about like the husband and wife like asking you to not tell your sister. Yeah. Which I feel like is more understandable. What I don't like is let's say Lauren, and my poor husband, who is faithful and I love him, hooks up with a bunch of girls at the villa. And Randall and then I don't know, Timmy make a pact to not tell their wives. Not tell their wives. And then they're like, something happened, but I can't tell you. And then you've lost me. Yeah, that would not fly. And which is what they were doing. And I'm like, you guys are so lame. Honestly, that's the one good thing about Jordan is that he told Jesse instantly. I agree. Zonly Redeeming quality. Agree. Dad Talk was annoying. Now. Also, like, are they not embarrassed? They should be. They are grown men. Like, they at the beginning of the show, all of them were just like making fun of their wives and be like, I mean, if they want to be TikTokers, you know. And now they literally are just like, oh, okay, our wives have a show. I guess like we'll start something. They're writing on the mom and talk goat tales. Like, it's so embarrassing. They have got to stop. I agree. You're grown men. I agree. Not just to be super toxic toxic, but let's act like we're grown men. I saw the funniest TikTok that was like, what if instead of going to Vanderpump Villa, Dad Talk all went to trade school? What if instead of Vanderpump Villa, Dad Talk all went to therapy? Well, literally. Literally. Well, no, unfortunately, too many of them are in therapy. That's a good point. And they're like annoying therapy men. They therapy speak now. Yeah. Oh, therapy speak is so anyway. We need to, we've we've come so far with like, oh, men need to go to therapy. We need to move away from men in therapy. Because they are weaponizing it.

They are weaponizing.

Y'all wrong. Um, so shall we get to Taylor? Let's get to Taylor. Now, obviously, guys, this is a bit of a touchy subject because we don't know everything. And we're probably never gonna know everything unless the smear campaign continues to happen. Um and it's like an unfolding situation. Yes. So, and we want to talk about it as tenderly as possible because this is not a situation that either of us have ever had to deal with before. Yeah. And so we don't want to be insensitive. Be insensitive. So if it feels like we're tiptoeing around it, it's because we definitely are. Yeah, so I'm sure literally everyone in the world knows by now, but for those of you who are not familiar, not keeping up with the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Taylor Frankie Paul was cast to be The Bachelorette. She had filmed her season, it was about to premiere, and then TMZ released a video of that had been leaked to them. Yes, by who knows who. Um of a domestic violence incident back in 2023 where she pled guilty and like is still currently on probation for it. Yes, if you have seen the first season of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, it's quite literally the first episode. Yeah. Where Taylor is arrested by the Draper City Police. Yeah. I think it's Draper. And it's tough because we all knew the story because they talk about it on the show. And yet seeing the video was hard. It's so bad. Well, and in the video, her daughter's in it, and we don't know that. We do. We well, we didn't know that. We did. We did? Yeah. And I like. Yeah. I'm just like, dang, you guys suck. I didn't know. That's crazy. Like, it was we both have watched the video. It's incredibly difficult to watch. It's sad. And also, like, I don't know, maybe I'm the only one who thought this, but I had heard a lot of people say, like, you know, Taylor's the one who got arrested, but who knows what was actually going on behind closed doors. But then in the video, like, Taylor is actually doing all that stuff. I also know that they are both incredibly toxic people. And so I just don't feel like I can pass a judgment on who is wrong here. Obviously, the video does not helping. The video was wrong. What was happening in the video was wrong. But I can't help but think of what led to the video. It's hard, like, as someone who has watched Taylor for years, like you come to love her for her. Is candidness the word? What's the word? Candid nature. Yeah. How blunt she is. Like, she just has been very open. Even after the arrest, she was like, Yes, this happened. I'm seeking help. I it was like the darkest point. Like, and like, yeah, it was sad and horrible that you heard about it, but you were just like, you know, this is somebody who, like, it's very hard to find nowadays, somebody who is just completely authentic and takes accountability and just is themselves, and like shows also a lot of people liked her for showing like the very real raw side of her struggles. Like, she talks a lot about her struggles with like depression and mental illness, and you know, she would show her house and it would be like completely messy, and she'd be like, This is genuinely how I live when my kids aren't here, and I don't know. So, a lot of people have praised her for that for a long time. So I think everyone's initial reaction was just to like fully believe her and be on her side. Oh we didn't even say this. All came to be because there are like new allegations. Yes. That she three weeks ago, like they had another violent instant incident between the two of them, allegedly, and she was attacking him. Yeah. So, you know, obviously everyone's initial reaction was like, well, she took accountability the first time, like she's been very open and honest about it. And then to see the video, and it's like, ooh, oh, I think maybe we've had it wrong. It's so hard. Layla and Miranda have both come out with statements. Layla says, My personal history as a survivor makes it impossible for me to stay silent. I stand firmly against domestic violence in any form. I am keeping her children in my thoughts, hoping for their safety above all else. Which I feel like is just kind of the perfect. Like, these are my like, I'm not taking aside. I'm just supporting. And then Miranda's reads I've honestly been at a little loss for words, trying to process all of this. Everything has been really heavy to see. Domestic violence and abuse of any kind is something I take very seriously. As a human, I can or as a human and especially a mother, I cannot support that kind of behavior. My heart is with the children in this, and I hope they are safe, supported, and surrounded by love. Which that I feel like was a little bit more like not on Taylor's side. Well, and then that picture has been circulating of Dakota and Taylor's ex-husband at the courthouse trying to both like either file for custody or file an order against her. Yes, supposedly. So I had heard most recently that Dakota did get sole custody until a further hearing. Okay, yeah. I know that they both have to go under a psyche valley. Don't know if that's already happened, but I don't know. And obviously we will never know. Um this all to say, and I mean there's so much more that we want to say about it, but I really hope, and this might sound horrible, but I hope they both just stay off of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and Mom Talk. Her and Dakota. I think they both need to not be on television and in front of everyone to see. Um, I think they both need to heal and to better themselves and to take care of the people who ultimately matter, which are their children and themselves. I don't think being a television star is the way to do that. Yeah, I agree. Taylor, last I saw, was like very firmly, like I kind of expected after everything dropped for her to make sort of not like apologizing or like taking a step back, but sort of like Oh no, I've seen her in people's comments. Like she is on social media, and her statement from her team was like, this is just another sad, desperate attempt from Dakota to try to take away from Taylor's, you know, experience and blah blah blah, like very much like he is making all this up. And also, like her original side of the like incident three weeks ago was that she never attacked him, she's never hurt their children, and he actually was attacking her. And his side is like she attacked him and then he pushed her off of him. Yeah. So I don't know, like it's very interesting. She's not like, you know, it's complicated, I've made mistakes. Like, she's like, no, it didn't happen. Like, this is another desperate attempt by Dakota. So it's interesting. Obviously, right now, the next season of Secret Lives has paused production. I've also seen some people speculating that they're gonna like switch it to California. I don't know. But I hope that we they start filming again soon without Taylor so we can just like see what everyone is like. Yeah. No, absolutely thinking. Anyway, do you have a most Mormon thing you did this week? Um, indeed. My most Mormon thing that I did this week was start reading the Book of Mormon and realize I don't think I can read it as fast as I thought I could. Oh, that's right. That is a good thing. That's a typical Mormon experience. My most Mormon thing that I did this week, besides the keychain thing, was yesterday when I was in the temple, one of the workers looked so familiar, and I could swear that she was from one of the like in the scriptures movies. And I was like, do I ask her if it's her? Did you? No. You should have. And I'm pretty sure it wasn't, but she just looked like her. You should have. Anyway, so that just made me laugh. But thank you guys for listening. And we're so excited to check back in on Hannah's book of Mormon Progress. That'll be so fun. Thank you for a thousand downloads. Uh, and we will see you guys next week. Bye. Bye.
