Hello, this is Keisha from Shining the Light Podcast. Thanks so much for joining today. Today's topic, save the world. This was inspired by an awesome message preached by one of our preachers at church. It was so good, and I want to share it with you. Save the world. Let's dive in. So, first of all, to save the world, we must be saved ourselves. We must be washed in the precious blood of Jesus Christ and be cleansed from all of our filthy sin and stain. So if you are saved today, awesome, awesome. So glad to be in the family of Christ with you. If you are unsaved today, the Savior is waiting for you to call upon him. We are all chosen by God. We are all given an invitation to his table. There are not certain ones that are chosen and certain ones that are not. We are all welcomed into the family of God. All you have to do is accept the invitation. And you say, Well, Keisha, how do I accept the invitation? Let me tell you how you accept the invitation by saying, Lord, I am so sorry for everything that I have ever done wrong. I want you to live inside my heart. Please save my soul. Wash me in your precious blood and make me white as snow. Clean me up and put on me a garment fitting for your supper, fitting to accept the invitation. Change me, Lord, and make me more like you. Forgive me and restore me unto yourself. And to simplify that, say, Lord save me, Lord help me, Lord forgive me. And he is faithful. And after that's taken care of, we can save the world. No, we can't save people from their sin, but we can point them to Christ. The Bible says that we can pull them out of the fire, and that is so powerful. So how do we save the world? Well, I'm glad you asked. One of the ways we can save the world is by shining our light to the world. People should see that we are a Christian by the way that we talk, the way that we walk, the way that we dress, the way that we react to situations, the way that we treat people, the way that we represent the Lord Jesus Christ, the way that we act behind closed doors, in the privacy of our own home, the way that we treat our spouse, the way we treat our children, the way we treat God in our devotion to him. And if we mess up, the enemy is gonna start talking to us, isn't he? Can I get an amen? Say it louder for the people in the back. The devil is gonna say, you've messed up, you can't shine a light anymore, you can't witness to people, you can't save people from the snare of the enemy, you can't point them to Christ. You've done messed up, you might as well quit, give up, throw in the towel. Nobody has confidence in you, you're wasting your time. You're gonna embarrass yourself. Don't embarrass yourself in front of all of these people by obeying God. Have you ever heard that? Has the devil ever whispered in your ears those same words? If I was a betting person, which I ain't, I would say that he has. But here is the cold hard truth. We just don't have time. We don't have time to linger in that despair, in that confusion, in that questioning. The devil is gonna use any tactic that he can come up with to slow you down, to make you ineffective, to quiet you, to silence the voice of God inside of you. But we really don't have time to dwell there. Do you know or realize how much time Christians have already spent in that low place allowing the devil to silence their praise? I am so guilty of this, and I have wasted so much time believing in my inadequacy, believing that I can't do anything for God, believing that nobody believes in me. And all the while God was still nudging my spirit to do something for him, to do this or do that, and I suppressed it because I didn't believe in myself. I looked at myself and I said, Heisha, you need to be silent, you don't need to move, you need to stay right where you're at because you don't want to be the cause of a ruined service, you don't want to say something out of order, do something out of line. What are they gonna think of you when you do this? Brothers and sisters, we have to rebuke that spirit, that voice that is feeding us lies, that is trying to stop us from moving with the spirit of God. So let's get to that point. Rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus Christ and then save the world. So my daughters, they're very needy little people. They're always needing me to do something for them. Whether it's mommy, I need more toilet paper, mommy, I want cereal on the top shelf, or mommy, I want something to drink. I'm hungry. Mommy, will you put my PJs on? Whatever it is, mommy's always needed. So I have this little joke that I think is fun. Whenever I am needed and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed, I just say within myself and out loud, mommy to the rescue, mommy to the rescue. I'm needed, I'm loved, mommy to the rescue. You know, it is joyful to be a Christian. Even in the stressful times of life, we can just enjoy the life that God has given us, the new life He's created in us. So saving the world, it's a big task, right? But we can accomplish this in little ways. For instance, be kind to people. It doesn't cost you any extra to be kind to people. Actually, it requires more energy to frown and be negative than it does to smile and be happy. Be positive, radiate positivity. People can feel that spirit coming off of you, whether it's positive, whether it's negative. So it's your choice. You can choose. Sometimes we have to just grit and smile, even when we don't feel like it. But give it a good foot forward, try to be positive, always be kind. That's kind of a requirement. So turn that frown upside down, honey bumpkin, because God wants you to. And a smile looks better on you anyway. So we got that. Be kind now. Ask yourself, what can I do to help those around me? Is there somebody struggling that I can help, maybe support in a friendship type of way? A listening ear? Can I give them encouragement? Can I help them financially? Can I do something kind for them to show them that I care? Maybe I'll take them an arrangement of flowers. Maybe I'll bake them a pie or take them a cake. Maybe I'll just give them a call and say, hey, I'm thinking about you. I'm praying for you today. Maybe you're very shy and very invert, then pray for them. You don't always have to do an out showing of kindness. You can pray, push back your plate for them. That'll take you very far. And we don't do these things to be seen of men for a pat on the back, for an outward showing, but we do these things because we want to be like Christ. And Christ loves, Christ gives, Christ cares. And you don't have to overthink it. If the Lord is leading you to do something, he'll put it on your heart. You just have to be sensitive to his spirit and you have to listen and obey. So no worries, don't stress out about trying to figure out what to do, how to reach people. When God's ready to use you, he will use you for his glory. But hey, if you want to be proactive and you want to reach people's lives, go for it. If you are doing things in a loving way and helping people around you, that's wonderful. Another way to save the world, speak truth. Speak life. Don't sugarcoat or water down the truth. If you really love people and you want to see them saved, truly saved, and ready for the kingdom of heaven, you've got to speak the truth. There's all kinds of people that aren't going to heaven. The adulterer is not going. The fornicator is not going. The liar and the deceiver is not going. The homosexual is not going. Pride may be running rampant in the world, but the Bible says that pride goeth before a fall. The rainbow is God's symbol, his promise that he will no longer flood the earth with water, but he will rain fire and brimstone down when he says it's time. It's wrapping up, folks, and we only have a short time to work. So again, that's why we mustn't stay in a complacent state or be so hard on ourselves thinking that we can't do anything for God. We don't have any time for that. We really must work while it is day because night is right around the corner. It's gonna be here and time will be no more for us to work. So we wanna get our family, our friends pointed to Christ. Try to get them to the foot of the cross before it's too late. Use whatever means you have, whatever means possible. So I never thought I would be a social media influencer. Never thought that in a million years. Didn't even want that for my life, to be quite honest. But it's an avenue that God has allowed me to use to speak truth. I never thought that I would be sitting in an office selling sheds and witnessing to people all at the same time. I didn't know that that was in the plan for me in my life. And here I am. I didn't know that I would get the opportunity to work with kids and be in a school setting and get to live a life for Christ in front of little eyes and ears and feet. I didn't know that I would be able to witness and to love on these kids in a Christian environment and show them the love of Christ. What a privilege. All of these doors of opportunity that God has opened up to me, to us. There is opportunities out there for us to witness for Christ. I didn't know that God would put a passion in me to write, to create, to publish books, to write songs, to create a podcast. Where did that come from? I see on social media there's this man that's probably in his 30s, maybe his early 40s. He has cerebral palsy, and he has created a whole line of books, and he is a Christian, and these books have positive content. And I believe they're even children's books and all these wonderful things that he has done, and he is limited to a chair, and he can't function like I would function, and that just spoke volumes. The love and genuine Christ-like attitude and the joy that he had, it was just so inspiring. I believe his name is Michael. You may be able to look him up. He has a bundle of books called The Messy Bundle. It's worth checking out. So, how can we be proactive in society? How can we be a go-getter for Christ? So, first, make sure that you are staying faithful to the house of God. If you have the opportunity to go to church, it is so important to gather yourselves together in unity in the body of Christ. You draw strength. The Bible even tells us to fail not to assemble ourselves together, much more as we see the day approaching. So don't neglect the house of God. It is your strength. If you're in a location where it is dangerous, you are not allowed to congregate together. God understands what you're going through and where you're at. Pray about it and let God lead you in this. Make sure that you are exercising your right as an American citizen. For those of you in the US, uh, make sure that you are voting for pro-life, voting against abortion. It's our responsibility to protect the unborn, to speak up for the little creations of God that's not yet able to speak for themselves. Speak out against the woke agenda, the voices that are trying to steal our children and trying to throw them in the cesspool of disgust. I was really bothered in spirit by something that I seen a little while back. Somebody that I still love and care about, that I grew up with. I seen where she had went to a drag show. Smiles all around, good time, enjoying the pleasure of sin and wickedness. And she works with children every single day. And it just saddened my heart to think about how far in the wrong direction this world has gone. The only way that we're gonna save people is by going against the grain and telling the truth, even if you know it's gonna make them upset. The truth is the only thing that will set us free. Let me read something to you out of the Bible, out of the holy undefiled word of God. First Corinthians six, nine and ten says, Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Be not deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revelers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God. Fornicators, those that are doing things they know is not right. They are sinning against their own body, nor idolaters, those that are worshiping idols, whether it be an image, whether it be something in your life that is taking the place of God, nor adulterers, those that are not faithful to their spouse, nor effeminate, nor the feminine acting, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, those that steal what does not belong to them, nor covetous, coveting what somebody else has, desiring what they have, never satisfied with what you have, nor drunkards, nor revelers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of heaven. And God commissions us to love all people. The two most important commandments in the Bible. Number one, love God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul, all your strength. And the second is like unto the first. Love your neighbor as yourself. With these hangs the law and the prophets. So let's simplify that. Love God and love people. Some people are hard to love. Let's just be honest. Sometimes we've got to ask God to help us to love them. And that's okay. We are human, we are flesh, and we are not perfect, even though we strive for perfection. So if you are struggling to love people today, pray that God would help you and demonstrate that love through you. His love working in you. And he will do it for you. If you take it to Christ, he will help you forgive and love. He's done it for me. Let's just be honest, there's some hard-to-love people in the world. I've had my share. I'm sure you have yours as well. But we can find a place when Christ is working that work through us, that work of forgiveness, that work of love through us that we can show others that we would normally not be able to do within ourselves. Save the world by being a beacon of light. We are to illuminate God's light. A city that is set up on a hill cannot be hid. And don't hide your light under a bushel. Don't let Satan blow it out. Let it shine. We are light bearers and truth proclaimers. Don't sell out to the world, sell out to God, lockstock and barrel. Save the world by loving those that are the least among us, the unlovable, the ones that are picked last in the football field or the baseball field. If you see somebody alone that does not have any friends, that is just struggling every day to get by, be a friend to them. Jesus always sought after those that felt they were forgotten. Pray for guidance. Don't put yourself in dangerous situations. Pray for the leading of the Spirit of God. And be a friend. Say a kind, encouraging word. If somebody knocks books out of somebody's hand down the hallway in the classroom, reach down and pick them up, dust them off and put them back into that person's hands. Whatever small gesture you can do to uplift somebody else, let them know they're loved and they're deeply cared about by God. And this is how we save the world. I love you all and God bless you.
