If you are dealing with depression, oppression, or if you know someone that is dealing with these things, encourage them to listen with you. I hope this can be a blessing to you. So first of all, I want to tell you that there is hope. There is always hope in Christ Jesus. Depression is real. It is a real thing. It's a dark cloud that hovers over our mind and over our life. Depression is an empty smile. It's dead noise when people are talking. It's a prison that you can't escape from. It's a feeling of nothing to look forward to. A feeling of despair, emptiness, nowhere to escape to, no one to confide in, no one who understands, numb to everything. Depression takes away your ability to care. It takes the twinkle out of your eye. It takes the spark of life out of your soul. It only allows gray, no vibrant colors, no sun, only plain gray. It speaks only empty words. Depression is a disease of the mind. It's an infection from hell. It's meant to silence you and to stop you and to disconnect you, discourage you, distract you, deplete you, prevent you, tranquilize you, kill you. Don't let it. I've been attacked by depression in my life. I remember a time when I wanted to leave this earth. If this topic is too much for you today, I invite you to join me on the next one, which will not be related to this topic. But this conversation is for those who have gone through this or are currently going through this, or for anyone wanting more insight and understanding of what someone with depression goes through. Depression tries to hide in the crowd, but depression always stands out. It's real, it's an attack. Pill do not make it better, it may suppress it for a time, it may make it worse. What depressed people need is deliverance. What people dealing with mental health need is God given deliverance. And I want to share the good news of Jesus Christ with you today. He is still in the healing business and he is still a miracle working God. You can absolutely overcome your depression. Depression makes you want to stay in the house, barred the doors, it makes you want to turn around as soon as you get to the grocery store and head back home without your groceries. It makes you want to freeze up when you're around people. There is hope for you today. For your family and friends who are going through this, there is hope. His name is Jesus Christ, and he came to free you of the weight of depression. The enemy of your soul, the devil, will try to push you down farther and farther into the black hole of depression, but one word from the master will silence that voice forever. Sometimes people are in so deep and so thick that they don't even believe that God can even reach them. But I assure you He can. I know He can because of His Word. I know He can because He did it for me. It does not matter how long you have been suffering from depression, anxiety, it does not matter how intense it's been or how many times you found yourself back in that same place of despair. There is hope for you, and there is deliverance for you even today. The woman with the issue of blood in the Bible, she suffered for twelve long years, but when she finally touched Jesus, she touched heaven, and she was never the same. Legion was full of the devil, he was lunatic, he was driven mad, but one commander of God and he was free forever in an instant. Depression maybe has been working on you for many years, but deliverance and healing can free you in one moment. It's one prayer away. Let God's voice be louder in your life. Pray to Jesus that he will forgive everything in your life that does not bring him glory. Give him everything, even the depression. Sometimes we hold on to it, sometimes we feed it. We allow it to hang around. Just like we do with bitterness. Bitterness and depression are closely related. I'd even venture to say they are brothers. Let God have it. Ask him to take it. Trust him with it. Rebuke the enemy. Use the name of God to back up your command. The Lord rebuketh thee, Satan. Plead the blood of Jesus Christ. Simply ask God to help you. It's not about deserving it, it's about accepting it. None of us deserve God's mercy. We must accept the free gift and love that Jesus extends to each and every one of us. When a negative thought tries to creep back in, rebuke it right then and there. Read a scripture every morning, afternoon, evening. It was good enough for Daniel. It delivered him from the lions, and it can deliver you from depression, from despair. Ask God to help you every morning and give you peace every night. Philippians 4 and 8 says, Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians four nine says, Those things which ye have both learned and received and heard and seen in me, do, and the God of peace shall be with you. Verse 2 says, For I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Sometimes depression comes in by our lack of contentment. I purposefully stay off of Pinterest because it always makes my heart want more. Everything on there looks perfect, not like my life, which is very imperfect. My life is very messy. A perfect example of imperfection and struggle. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying Pinterest is wrong. And every once in a while, if I'm looking for something specifically, I will jump on there and see if I can find what I'm looking for. But I know my limits. When I start becoming discontented, it's time to leave it alone. That's just an example from my life. It can stand true with many things. The perfectly depicted love story that's not realistic at all. We expect that to be our reality when it never could be. You see where I'm going with this? Depression can come in because of life's circumstances, tragedies, things that's happened in our lives that we didn't ask for. It could be accompanied by fear of the shape that the world is in. Luke twenty one twenty eight says, And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh. It goes on to say in verse thirty one, so likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verse thirty three through thirty six Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares, for as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man. The cares of life is a gateway for depression to access your life. Give the cares of life to God. That backpack that's been weighing you down, the things you've tried so hard to control, but you can't control them. Let it go. Give it to God. Give up the little bit of control that you think you're holding on to. It's really a chain you're clenching that's keeping you close to the ground. It's not allowing you to elevate above these things. Don't push yourself down even more thinking depression is your fault, thinking depression only inflicts the weak, thinking there is something wrong with you, and that's why you are suffering. Hogwash. Yes, some people do bring depression upon themselves by their own actions and negative thinking. If that's the case with you, ask God to help you change. He can do that too. He actually specializes in that, but you have to let him. He's not going to make you. It's your choice. But most of the time, depression works its way in, even on the strong, by life's circumstances, tragedy, sickness, and you can be delivered. Even today. If it takes time for the healing to come, take one foot forward every day into the light. Remind yourself to speak truth and positivity to yourself. Trust the healing journey. You don't have to be bound by depression any longer. Write down three things that you are thankful for every day, no matter how small. Let your heart believe the truth that you are so deeply loved by him and created with purpose. Obey His word. Depression is a lie, and stop believing it today. Right now. Rather believe the words of God. Don't sleep it off. Shake yourself. Deliverance is in the house. Jesus is in the house. You don't need another label on your life. You need liberation. You don't need a label. You need deliverance. Oppression is depression's closest companion. Whether the weight of the world is on your shoulders today or there is a dark cloud over your head today, or both, you are an overcomer in the name of Jesus. Jesus heals all manner of diseases. His word says so. It also says he healed them all. All those that came to him. He never refused anyone, and he never refused healing. We've just got to get to Jesus. Good people suffer, but Jesus says you don't have to. Maybe there's a lesson to be learned during your pain. Maybe there's room for faith to grow during your trial. Maybe he's giving you your very own special testimony. It's waiting for you at the end of your trial, at the end of the tunnel. We are to use what God has given us to reach the world. No man is an island. We will affect those around us. Someone is watching your life. Show them how to be an overcomer by putting your trust in Jesus. The word of God shows us that Jesus does not save us from all our troubles. Sometimes that's not his plan. If it were, there wouldn't be any martyrs. Charlie Kirk would have never died. People would be in perfect health. But we live in a fallen world. Things are rarely perfect, but God is, and it's his will that you have peace and a sound mind. Relief from torment of the mind. It's not his will that his children suffer such things. This life is full of sacrifice, pain, discouragement, but it's also full of blessing, hope, and healing. Is your glass half full or half empty? The devil can inflict our mind and body, but God's perfect peace can free us. The devil has no power of a mind that's made up, settled, and established. He will still try, but we must rebuke it with the authority of Jesus' name. His name carries weight, power. Our situation may never change, but our perspective can. Positivity is a powerful thing. That's why God tells us in his word to think on these things. Feel the warmth again, feel the sun again, see the light again, feel the love again. Know you are loved. Know you are created with purpose. Know that there is healing for you. Stop believing the lies of the enemy. Look up, your redemption draweth nigh. Refuse to lose today, friend, but rather choose hope. Rather choose healing. Rather choose peace. You aren't forgotten, you aren't forsaken, you aren't a mistake, you aren't a lost cause, you are beautiful, you are strong, you are capable, you are loved, you are loved. You are so loved. Choose God today. Choose life today. Choose surrender to God's plan for your life. Let Him take your broken things and make a masterpiece. He specializes in that. Even if you're saved and covered in Jesus' blood, we still need deliverance too with things in our life. Give God the shame you feel. You don't have to keep holding on to it. You can let it go in the name of Jesus. That mighty and powerful name, Jesus. Leave this broadcast different than when you came. Take time today to release your feelings or lack thereof to God. Don't let hell rob you of the joy God has promised you. Take it back today. Choose life and live. Greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world. Psalm sixty two and eight says, Trust in Him at all times. The world is rapidly heading to the end. We are facing uncertain times. Now more than ever, we must trust in the Lord at all times. The rest of the scripture says, Ye people, pour out your heart before Him. God is a refuge for us. He can keep us safe when the arrows fly, when the smoke rolls, when the bombs burst. God can keep you safe in the middle of chaos. You may be fighting for your life today, right now, but commit your way to the Lord every single morning and day and let Him carry you. I'm reminded of some words that came to my heart one evening in prayer and the melody just came to me. And this is how it came.
SPEAKER_00Carry me, God carry me. When the road is hard, the future is unseen. Carry me. God carry me. Carry me. Lord, please carry me.
SPEAKER_01And I hope there's somebody out there that can resonate with those words. Um it is what I needed at that time. And of course there's more to the song, but that's what I remember of it. I'd have to look back and see what I wrote down for the rest. But um I love it when God just gives me words that I need at the time that I need them. It's amazing to me. He just knows everything, doesn't he? He absolutely does. And I want to read Psalms fifty-nine, verses sixteen through seventeen says, But I will sing of thy power, yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning. For thou hast been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing, for God is my defense and the God of my mercy. Amen. If you are battling negative thoughts in your life, or if this is someplace that you seem to always end up, and maybe things get better and then they get worse, and then they get better, and then they get worse, and it's like a roller coaster of emotion. I want to first tell you that you can absolutely get victory over that. That place that you keep coming back to in your life that you don't want to be there, you don't have to be there. You don't have to go back to that place anymore. Quit treating the symptoms and start digging it out by the root. Pull it up out of there. Let God do that for you today, friend. Before you make an appointment to see a psychiatrist, before you make an appointment for the doctor to prescribe you a medication to help you cope with life, take your problems to God Almighty. He is the great physician. I've seen more now than I ever have addressing mental health. People are struggling with mental health. They are struggling with coping with life. They're struggling with keeping those negative thoughts from surfacing and from being tempted to do their self harm or to try to escape this world because they can't get relief. Let me tell you, that's the spirit of the devil, the enemy, the adversary of your soul trying to cause you to fall, to be depleted, to be defeated, but rebuke it in the name of Jesus Christ. And if you are living in sin, you don't have the power to rebuke the enemy off of you because you are a servant of sin. You are a servant of the devil if you are not serving Christ. You are either a servant of the living God or you are a servant of the devil. We do not live unto ourselves, we do not die unto ourselves. We belong to a power. We belong to a force of good or a force of evil. Jesus came into the world and died so every boy and girl, man and woman could have an opportunity to be saved, to join that force of good, to join the army of God, to proclaim truth and to live above sin. Okay? He paid the way for us to do that. It's a free gift, but there's something that we have to do on our end, and that is surrender. Say, God, I surrender to your will and your way. Please forgive me and help me to overcome these negative thoughts, these negative feelings, the oppression and depression of this world of the enemy. Give me deliverance, peace from all these things, and he will do it. He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, to cleanse us, to purify us, to make us whole again, to give us peace. Perfect peace casteth out all fear. Fear bringeth torment. That is not the spirit of God. It's not something that I want to admit, but I have battled depression, I've battled oppression, and I've battled my fair share of it. I'm being real with myself right here. I'm being very transparent with you. I know exactly what you're feeling and what you are going through. There's been many times I have been in a very crowded room and I have felt so alone. I have felt secluded. I have felt excluded from those around me. And I'm not saying this for a pity party on my end. No, absolutely not. I'm just telling you how the devil works. I am a child of God and I have battled these things, but it is not God's will for us to struggle to keep our peace. The Bible says to hold your peace. Whenever I read that, think about that. I think of my hands clenched onto the peace of God. The devil cannot take it away unless you release it. Do not allow the enemy to get the upper hand in your life and do not allow him to convince you to release that peace. God has given it to you and hold on to it with a death grip. It's yours. It is yours for the keeping. We all have weaknesses. We are human, but God is so gracious. And the Bible says when we are weak, we are strong. So even if you feel weak today and you feel like you're not strong enough to fight off hell, to fight against the enemy, know that you are a valiant warrior in God's mighty army because when you're weak, you're strong in his strength. And don't you forget that. So the woman with the issue of blood, when she heard Heard about the Lord, she had to touch the hem of his garment. And when she touched him, she broke through the crowd and she touched the bottom, the border of his garment. And he turned and said, Who touched me? And they said, Lord, everybody is thronging you, they're touching you, and you say, Who touched me? And he said, It's different this time. He said, I felt virtue leave me. Because that woman heard, she heard the name of Jesus, and she had to get to him. How powerful his name is, how powerful and mighty he is, praise God, and there is healing in his wings. You cannot go to him without being changed. If you are unchanged, it's because you want to be unchanged. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that he is Lord. And depression has to bow at the feet of Jesus. From this day forward, make a commitment to make a positive change every single day. Start dwelling upon the good things. Think about positive things. Push out the negativity. If you need to separate yourself from negative people, do that. If you need to rebuke the enemy, do that. Read scripture, seeing unto God. Depression is not going to continually dwell with you when you are thinking happy thoughts. Being positive, rebuking the enemy. It's gonna have to flee. It's gonna have to bow to Jesus. It's not going to have dominion over you. So quit letting it consume your mind, your heart, your life. Quit allowing it to cripple you, to cause you to sleep it off, to be shut off from the world and what's around you. Do not allow it to consume you. Get your heart right with God and rebuke that spirit and watch it leave. Amen. As long as I got King Jesus, as long as I got King Jesus, as long as long as I got him. I don't need nobody else. Hallelujah. And depression. We don't need that, do we? No, we don't. Kick it in the butt, tell it to get out in the name of God. I don't know if this has helped you or not. I surely hope that it has. Just to know that other people have gone through these same things. Know where you're coming from, know what you're going through. You are not alone. You are never alone. Praise God. Even if nobody else knows what you're going through. This gal right here knows a little bit about what you're going through. And I am surely praying for you. We are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. And you are an overcomer. Claim it in the name of Jesus Christ. And I got it in my mind now, folks. I'm gonna be singing it all night. As long as I got King Jesus, as long as I got King Jesus, as long as long as long as I got him.
SPEAKER_00I don't need nobody else.
SPEAKER_01Praise God. Thanks for joining us today. I hope I catch you on the next one. In the meantime, just live for God, do the right things, and be an overcomer. Until next time, and bye bye.
