We challenge the habit of arguing with reality and practice seeing life as happening for us. We map four stages of consciousness, reframe money and abundance, and use creativity and neutrality to change results without self-judgment.

• naming what we resist and why it drains us
• adopting “it’s happening for me” as a practice
• the four stages: to me, by me, through me, as me
• oneness as an antidote to scarcity and separation
• money as symbol, abundance as state
• creativity as regulation and expansion
• body neutrality over self-critique for sustainable change
• reverse engineering results with belief audits
• reading beliefs in everyday choices and boundaries
• clean pain versus dirty pain and radical acceptance

What are you? What are you what are you arguing with the universe? What are you arguing with the universe about currently right now? Meaning, what are you resisting? What is it right now that is in your life that you're like, no, that shouldn't be the way it is, or I can't believe that happened, or I shouldn't have to deal with this, or I should be, you know, not fighting with my sister, or I should be making more money right now. Whatever it is, I want you to identify it right now and ask yourself, okay, I could argue with the facts. I could argue instead of being in radical acceptance, but why resist? I one of my favorite teachers, Byron Katie. One of my favorite teachers, Byron Katie, always says, when you argue with reality, you lose a hundred percent of the time. And I just want just I want us both to take a minute and acknowledge what we are arguing the universe. I just want both of us right now to take a second and identify what are you arguing about and why are you arguing with the universe about what is this? Will cost you time, energy, and resources. So today we're gonna practice accepting the laws of the universe, which is so today we are gonna practice today. We are practicing so once you've identified that, I want you to practice with me the consciousness of choosing to believe that everything is happening for you, everything is here for you, no matter how sucky, no matter how irritating, no matter how many times you've learned this lesson. I want you to look at this as this is happening for me. How could that be true? Ask yourself, how could it be true that this is happening for me if it's a recurring feeling or recurring pattern that you notice and thought pattern, like I really want this to be the way it works out? That's a thought that I have all the time is when I'm resisting something and it's not working, I'm trying, trying, trying, I'm taking action, I'm trying to action, I'm trying to find and eliminate and exhaust all of my resources to make this thing happen. And then I have to come to terms. How is this happening for me? Why is not getting what I want actually what I want? Because everything that's happening on the inside is reflecting to you on the outside, and our mind, our ego can want to mess with that and tell you things like something's gone wrong, or that's not how it should be, or you should be farther along. You're behind, and this is impossible. Of course, this happens to you. You always ruin this, X, Y, Z. Okay, so your brain is going to be running the pattern and running those thoughts that it always runs. And it's usually self-doubt, questioning your worthiness, or intimidation to get you to stop, to get you to not do the new thing. And that could be not trying, it's it could, and that could be not a new action, but coming into the emotional experience of surrender and acceptance and looking at your challenge in a whole new light. Even though you may have already worked on this thing. Okay. So instead of looking at this is thing is happening to me, right? A lot of times we can be even in success, and we can be like, my success makes me unrelatable, or my success makes me too big, and people get intimidated, or people don't feel attracted to me because I have this and that, and I'm actually super powerful. So it's really intimidating, blah, blah, blah. Okay. You are not a victim to your own success, and you are not a victim to your current reality. That's because number one, you're listening to this podcast, and I'm helping you acknowledge it, but you always have a choice in how you look at something, and how you look at something decides how you position yourself. So when you position yourself as a victim, even though you might have been a victim in a circumstance, it's in uh, it is inherently in the past. Whatever shitty thing happened or something that you didn't even want to happen, it is in the past because right now you are in the now, right? So if you can stop, pause, and let yourself accept and acknowledge maybe something shitty that happened or something that you're resisting, acknowledge deeply that it happened. Feel all that disappointment, and then you can move into okay, but this thing didn't happen to me. It's happening for me to build me, to make me stronger, to help me learn this new skill that I need to learn. Or it's an opportunity for you to change and up level your self-concept completely. It's asking you to evolve, it's asking you to heal that past trauma. Whatever it is for you, can you start to see that this thing doesn't have power over you because it's not happening to you? You now, because you are listening to this podcast and you're in the time of today, get to choose to think of this opportunity to get to choose. You get to choose to think about this as how is this happening for me for the better good, for the greater good, for myself, and for everyone around me who's also growing from my own growth, too. So I'm not there are four stages of consciousness that we are gonna examine today, and it's gonna help you stop arguing, and it's gonna help you to stop arguing with the reality, with the universe. Okay. So I'm not quite sure where these four stages come from. I have looked and looked, and there's like lots of teachers that teach this, and I couldn't find the derivative. So I'm just gonna teach it, and I want you to know hey, I'm not the source of this. This is kind of the truth, and you get to decide and dive into it more if you want to. But this is enough to get you through and give you a bite size to really change how you're looking at your problem today. So there are four stages to me, the victim that we just talked about, by me, which when you get yourself out of victim mode, we usually feel super empowered, and that's a really great thing because we start seeing, hey, you know what? I create my reality, I make everything better. And then we get really like kind of hyped up on like being the person that can action their way into anything new. Okay. That could be super empowering, and yes, you need to do that sometimes, okay? But that limits us to thinking that we as individuals are the only ones, aka you are the only one who can create new results in your life. And it's simply not true, okay? It can feel really empowering at first, but know that you are always collaborating with source, with the universe. Okay. It's like you are not disconnected from it, you are a part of it. So therefore, you are always in a tango with what you're supposed to learn, what you're supposed to be doing, and how you are being challenged to change your perspective, grow, heal, accept, or live in a new way that's going to help you either live more peace, heal some generational trauma, or achieve and create a new result. Success, this could be a new thing that you deeply want for yourself. So, first stage of awareness is life is happening to me. The second stage of awareness, life is happening by me. The third stage, life is happening through me. So when you start to see yourself as a vessel of source energy, of how am I gonna be somebody who is a conduit to serve the world, to share my gifts, to share my art, to make people have a better day, to share love. Okay, you start seeing yourself as life happens through me. I am a vehicle for life. Okay, that's also really powerful because you stop taking total entitlement and your ego doesn't get all caught up in I am all powerful and I'm the only one working here. Okay, because in that in and of itself, by me consciousness is also kind of victimy consciousness, okay. When you look at them and you can see the similarities, you'll start to see, oh, okay, yeah, that makes sense. You're not including the universe in your plans, you're not using that consciousness in a conscious way and an intentional way, in a way that actually acknowledges the truth, which is we're not alone here. You are always connected. Through me consciousness can be really enlightening and empowering as well, right? It can get you from a mode of maybe sluggishness or burnout, and it can help you recover from to me to buy me consciousness, where maybe you overwork yourself to death, and now you're like, oh, I don't have to take all these ideas personally, and I can just start creating again because life happens through me and I'm just a channel for these ideas that want to come through me. I know I have been there and I'm like, yeah, I don't even have to judge my own ideas. I can just be the channel for them, and I'm gonna share with the world what messages are meant for me to be sharing right now, according to what my higher source is telling me. The fourth stage of consciousness is as me. Life happens as me, meaning I am everything and everything is me. It's the consciousness of oneness. There is no separation, and there's a sense of I am God and God is me, or I am universe, universe is me. And in fact, I am just a particle of the universe, and I can't exist outside of it. It is either energy, right, that is can't be created or destroyed, which means if right now I'm a particle, which looks like a human body, um, I will recycle and change form into a different atom or a different molecule or a different creature or I don't know, all a plant. Like you cannot be created or destroyed. So your consciousness gets to be something that exists in oneness with everything and every one. And that one is tricky, and it's a little bit easier to surrender and go from to me to by me to through me consciousness, and through me is kind of a fun way to live. And then when you go to as me consciousness, this took me a good like three years to really put into practice because I was like, I don't know, that's kind of far out. I don't know, that's kind of like a really big thing to say. I don't like it, I was really resistant to it, and through me consciousness felt very comfortable because it felt like a massive upgrade from by me consciousness, which is where I was for like five years before that. As I was first learning these coaching tools and learning law of attraction, love assumption, meditational things. I was like, oh, I am way more powerful than I think. All things start with a thought, and thoughts create things. And if I have the right thought, then I can create new things, and that is really addictive, and it can because it can feel so powerful. So the through me consciousness, I was like, okay, I can get down with that. I can be a channel, I understand the assignment, I could do that. Ast me consciousness, oof. So the thing that makes it challenging, I don't want to say hard, but the thing that makes you um grow is that you have to let go of what got you here. So you can't what got you here won't take you there. And I also love the quote, there's no there, there. Because when we try to grow and achieve and connection our way, yes, it can be thrilling. Yes, you should still do it. But if you're coming from the energy of trying to earn your value, your worthiness, and this is all subconscious, by the way, that part where you're trying to earn value or prove yourself. Well, actually, some of it's consciousness, some of it actually, some of it is conscious. The part of me that I'm the part that I'm referring to is like when you are trying to live into a new goal and you can't figure out why it's not working, it's because you're trying to prove something that you already have. You're trying to prove your value, but you already have it. So you're chasing your tail. It feels like you're doing a lot, but really you're spinning in the same place, right? Where you're like running on a treadmill. It's like you feel like you're doing something, you feel like you're going somewhere, but really you're just in the same place, moving and expending energy energy and expending energy. So asthme consciousness now that we've talked about the four stages, we can look at okay, if asthme consciousness is the most elite, right? And I'm kind of being facetious here. It is the highest level of consciousness when you are at that state where you're seeing that everything is here for you because you are the universe experiencing itself, and each individual is also doing this, every human, every creature. We are all a part of this world, right? And we are all experiencing what it's like to be what we are. I'm looking at my cat right now, obsessed with her. She's looking at me, and I'm like, my cat schoolie, she's experiencing what it's like to be a calico cat. Has she done this in multiple lifetimes? I don't know, but she's experiencing her life in my apartment right now, and that's her life's journey, right? So if you can start to see, I am the universe experiencing itself in this unique body, in this unique experience, in this unique history that you have with your family of origin and where you grew up, and what was next for you in adulthood, and all these things that have happened in your life. The universe is basically experiencing life through you. So when you can start to see as I am the universe, and the universe is me, that means we are not only one, but we get to work together because we aren't anything there, because there is no separateness. So if you are wanting a partner, you are wanting more money through your business or your career, you aren't separate from that thing. Let's sit, let's take money for example. Money is a currency. Money is literally a symbol. Okay, it's the most real, non-real thing. We you can go back to my previous, one of my previous episodes called The Grand Illusion. Money is a symbol. Money is a currency that we all agree is a that we all agree has monetary value. In other words, value. In other words, we are all using numbers and coins, right? And paper, cash and credit, and Bitcoin or whatever the fuck. We are using this as a symbol of abundance. Hey, value, abundance. This is what we're calling money. Okay. You don't have to have the money to experience the abundance because abundance is a feeling and an energy in your body that you conceptualize in your mind that you start to see and feel in the world. And if we're representing abundance with money, and we are only seeing abundance as a form of money, we are missing out on what abundance actually is. Because there is abundance all around us, even when there's we're not even using money. Okay. There's abundance of love, abundance of time, abundance of attention, abundance of lemons on a tree. There's abundance everywhere. And when you only see abundance as money, you are really limiting how you can actually receive money because you're kind of pinholing your opportunity to feel abundance that would create that monetary value because you're feeling in lack of it. And the opposite of lack is oneness, right? Oneness is having. So when you aren't in that state, you are in a state of separation. Separation begets more separation. So if you feel separated from money, it's gonna feel like you're chasing it and it's running away. So I don't recommend that. Practice your abundance now, no matter what your circumstance is. And I only say this because I can't imagine somebody who would want scarcity because scarcity feels shitty, right? And you can be super wealthy factually, if we look at how much money and assets and value you have in the currency of blah, blah, blah. And feel so much scarcity and create greediness in your body because you feel lack, and so you have to try to get more, more, more, more. Right? It's the opposite of abundance. Abundance is feeling and registering and acknowledging how everything you could ever want and need is already right here with you, and you get to appreciate it now. You feel gratitude now because you're like, well, even if I don't have this material thing I want, I could still create the feeling that I want from having that material thing. Okay. And listen, I'm never gonna tell you not to want the material thing. I love the material things. Um, I love the vintage purses, I love, I just love beautiful vintage leather jackets. Okay. And there's nothing inherently negative or bad about that, even though some spirituality will pose as, although some spirituality will try to tell you that you shouldn't want any material things, okay? I understand that. But the point isn't to chase them and need them to have the feeling. The feeling is to appreciate them now and enjoy them now. That's abundance. And if you know anything about me and you follow me on Instagram, you know that I'm a big vintage secondhand thrifter kind of girl. So I get most everything I own, like 90% of everything I own, I pretty much buy secondhand. That is because number one, it's way better for the environment. It already exists, so why would I buy a new one? And if I buy a new one, it's just gonna age anyways. So why don't I buy it from fine treasure? Like really thrifting and vintage shopping is like treasure hunting. It's so much fun. It gives me so much delight to go hunting and find things in the wild and also find something really cool. And somebody's like, Where'd you get that? I'm like, I thrifted it. It's one of a kind, you can't copy me because this is me. And I can't wait to see what you thrift because you're gonna find something that's so you, and we're gonna be so cool together, but totally different. Okay, so you don't have to have a lot of money to feel abundant, and you don't have to have things to feel abundant. That's not what it abundance is. Abundance is very quiet, it's not super loud or glamorous, it's because it's an internal feeling, it's a calm nervous system, it's being okay with having a lot of money and having no money, or maybe like enough to survive. Okay. Of course, we don't have food and shelter. Okay, our nervous system is going to get disrupted for a while, and learning how to come back into regulation so that you can create more actual physical money. Okay, that makes sense. But at the end of the day, you have to get yourself to a place where you calm yourself with or without money because money is just a symbol. And yes, we need it to survive in our modern world. I mean, I'm living in Southern California, so money is different in every country, right? So, yes, money is a real factual thing, and there's always a way to figure out how to create value or exchange value or borrow money, right? You can create those opportunities for yourself because eventually you got to get yourself into that thought process of how can I solve this problem? How can I get creative here? What is what can I do? How can I see this as an opportunity here for me that I can use to learn a new skill or create a new relationship that's gonna help me do that? When you start to see that everything is happening for you, it allows you to get into creativity, not just art and fun and play, but in the act of creation. So sometimes we're creating a new self-concept, how we think about ourselves, we're creating new beliefs, we're creating something that hasn't been done before, we're creating a new outfit, we are creating something, a new recipe that we're gonna eat for lunch today. Okay, when you are in creativity, what that is, is universe energy, which is expansive inherently. Because when you try something new, your mind expands. You try new food, and you're like, oh my gosh, never tried this seasoning before. You have now expanded your experiences. And what does the universe love to do? Expand indefinitely. It likes to crash and burn and see new things and collapse on itself and burst into new asteroids, hit this planet, boom, there's a new opportunity, right? So when you start to see, so when you really start to see that when you are in creative energy, which is problem-solving energy or play energy, right? You can actually pragmatically solve a problem, or you can actually create something for the sake of creating, which is what the universe loves. The universe loves when you're in creative energy and doing things just because you fucking want to. You feel excited about it. That energy, it's actually what it rewards. Universe rewards that energy. It loves to see you doing creative things that light you up just because they do. Okay. It could be inner child stuff, like coloring, it could be anything. There's really no rules, it just depends on how you feel. Okay, if you're somebody who wants to set up dominoes and you're like, I love dominoes so much, do it. Okay. It doesn't have to cost money. It doesn't, or it could you could take yourself shopping, and that's a whole other, you know how I feel about that, is like going out to really go play and expand and try on new identities. And that comes when you try on new things, right? You start to see yourself differently. Your self-concept starts to change. You start seeing yourself creating new habits. And who would I be if I was wearing this? Who would I be? How would I feel about myself if I saw a reflection of me walking by the coffee shop and I saw myself? I would be that girl, I would be that bitch, I'd be her, and she is me. Okay. Those are all expansive experiences. So when you are expanding, the universe is like tickled and delighted by your choice to expand, which is then coming back to as me consciousness. I'm experiencing the universe as me. I am the universe, I am the currency of abundance, I am love. I get to enjoy love because I am love and there's no separateness of it all. We just are all together being a part of the universe. Like we can't escape the conditions because it's kind of like the law, it's the law of the game of life that we are of and in it of ourselves, the universe in and of itself. Okay. At the end of the day, you are a vibration. Okay. Vibrations create your perception of the physical world. Okay. So your thoughts and your feelings, they come from how you think about things, right? It comes from your definition if something's good or something's bad. And most of this was taught to you in your childhood and young adulthood. Things have positive connotations, things have negative connotations, but only because of your conditioning. So if you want to change your thoughts and feelings, your vibrations to serve you, to benefit you, we got to change all that up. Body image is a huge thing that I coach on all the time. Because when you start to see yourself in the mirror, you're trying on something new and you're like, oh, I don't like how this looks. And let's say you're like, oh my gosh, like. Like my arms, I hear this all the time. Like, my arms are too big. I'm like, okay, so your arms have mass. Okay, first of all, there's bone, there's muscle, there's skin, there's tissue, right? And then there's maybe some fat. Okay. Yeah. So what's the thought? If you are choosing to believe it's negative because you have extra weight or extra fat on your arm, that's going to be painful for you. But if you can start to come into neutrality, which is where you can find so much power, is like, okay, I'm having some thoughts about the fat on my arm. Okay. Yeah. But if your arm is neutral, it's neither inherently bad nor good, you get to be in charge of how you think about it. You get to redefine what you think beauty is. And of course, society and media and magazines and movies will tell us, and social media will tell us what is right and what is wrong, right? Uh, what body is the most desirable? And by the way, it changes every few years, right? Sometimes we're like, we like big eyelashes. No, we don't want eyelashes. We like big lips. No, we don't. We want, okay, big boobs. No, we don't care about big boobs anymore. Now we want big butt. Okay, now we want big buttons. Now we have to have boobs now, but okay. It changes, it fluctuates, and it's not just something that you desire or not. It's something that you've been exposed to. And then you also you get all of that. And it's not always your desire, it's a desire that you've been taught implicitly that you should want, okay? Because you've been seeing so many images. Sometimes it is an actual desire to change something, but 90% of the time it's what you've been fed and told is the right, and it's going to get you the most validation or status, which comes back to survival. So have compassion for yourself there, but keep coming back to but wait, my arm is neutral. I get to choose how I want to think about it. Okay, that neutrality is going to reset your vibration from negative to okay, acceptance, right? You're not, you know, you're no longer arguing that your arm should be a different shape, right? You're not arguing with the universe that your body is in this current state. And even if you do want to change it, neutrality is a really powerful place to get to before you do start to change it. Maybe you want to work out more, you want to, I don't know, eat differently a little bit. That's gonna help you, okay, when you move through neutrality first, instead of judgment and negativity of my arm should be different. You got to learn to love it first before you can change it. Really. I've tried it all the different ways. You can't hate yourself into changing something, any goal, any problem, any body part. And that is because it's not sustainable. Eventually, your soul will want to rebel because the universe does not like restriction, it likes expansion. So when you literally get into things like restricting food, right? What happens? Usually a binge, right? Or some sort of rebellion of like, I don't want to do that. It doesn't feel good, right? It's sort of like an inner child reaction to where you're like, no, you're you kind of have a defying moment where you want to rebel and sabotage your goal because it's coming from a negative place versus a loving place. You can lovingly show yourself how to eat differently or work out differently or look in the mirror differently, but you can't punish yourself into a new way of acting in a way that's gonna be sustainable and permanent for you. And to finish up this podcast, I'm gonna give you this question that is going to help you really understand what you're arguing about with the universe and why. Okay. So to understand how you got here, because if you're thinking this shouldn't be happening or I deserve something different, we're gonna figure out exactly how you created this current reality, okay? So we're gonna try to backtrack and reverse engineer what had happened, okay? So this question is what what must I believe for this to have created itself? What must I believe in order for this result to be in my reality right now? What must I be thinking and feeling about myself that created this result? Let's say you missed a flight, okay? You got to come back to what must I be thinking about time, about the airport, about packing, about my identity of like going on this flight. Maybe you're going to like a business trip and it's really amazing. And you're like, do you not believe you are worthy to be on this flight? Do you think maybe you have a warped distortion of time, right? Maybe you have a little ADHD, and you're like, okay, it's not my strong suits planning for time. Okay, what must I believe about time that would create this result? Okay. So whether it is true or not, it doesn't matter. We're just discovering. Okay. If you're thinking, I have plenty of time, and that's a thought you have all the time, and it actually ends up making you late because you kind of dilly-dally, and you you time quote unquote gets away from you because you have a distorted version, a distortive you you're because your experience of time is that you have lots of time and that you can spend it so freely. Kind of like time abundance, right? It depends on if that serves you or not, right? Somebody who has time abundance can be like, oh, I'm gonna take my time, I'm gonna enjoy every moment, I'm gonna make sure I do everything slowly because I can. Do you see how the two different thoughts and beliefs create two different results? Because it's coming from a different energy, two different energies. If you are not monetarily in the place that you want to be right now, yes, you can look at the past actions and be like, hmm, why did I spend that way? Why did I save that way? How come I didn't make that much last year? You can look at that, whatever, whatever your circumstances, right? And then ask yourself, what must I be believing for that to be my result? Okay. And you can look at other people too, if this is like gonna be a little stepping stone to help you see this a little more clearly. And this might sound like judgment. I promise it's not, okay. It's just from a place of observation, and I want you to start picking up on it because people are revealing their beliefs to you at all times. They think they're being tricky about it, but they're not. Okay, so let's say, let's say somebody you walk into somebody's home and they have roses everywhere, okay? You can start to think, what must they be believing in order for this to be a result in their life? Okay, they really value roses, or they think it's really romantic, or I don't know, maybe like it's like they really believe in investing in flowers because it reminds them that life is short and you should enjoy and smell the roses now, right? It's revealing beliefs about them. Okay. Now let's say you walk in a house and there's no flowers in there, and you know that that person really loves flowers. Okay. When you walk in and you see this person loves flowers and there's no flowers here, right? You can start to see they don't believe that they are worth the money to buy themselves flowers. Or maybe they believe somebody else should buy them flowers, and that's something that they don't need to do for themselves, right? The other person's house, they definitely believed that they were worthy of prioritizing their need and desire to have flowers surrounding them at all times. You see how this is revealing their thoughts about themselves as like one of them is absolutely I'm worth it, the other one is like I love them, but I do not choose to spend my money on them because I don't think it's important. Even though it is important, right? So then we can attach we can really kind of see, oh, it's not that they don't value it, it's that they don't see themselves as worthy of spending the money on themselves to enjoy. When there's even things that come across as masks that you'll start to see. Like when somebody is generous and they're overly generous, you can start to see, oh, they don't have capacity to keep for themselves. They just give, give, give, give, give. And it looks like a generous, amazing thing. And yes, generosity is a beautiful thing, but there is a point of over-generosity to where you start depleting yourself, sabotage yourself and your life, and you can start to dissect. Okay, what must that person be believing in order for this to be occurring in their life? They believe other people should have more and they shouldn't serve themselves. So basically, you go into debt with yourself if you're somebody who's overly generous. It's a contradictory, right? It's contradiction. It's I'm gonna give you so much, I'm gonna give you everything that I'm gonna be in debt and be suffering because I should be suffering, and you should have all that I can give you, more than I can give you, right? You should have everything and more, but not me. And it's revealing, right? How that person values himself and the boundaries that they make because it's taught to us in culture, in religion, all kinds of places, right? Where we learn you should only give and not receive. And we can take it all the way to the nth degree where we never let ourselves be in a state of receivership or even just neutrality and homeostasis, where you have food shelter, food, water, shelters, you know, where you are good. If you're not good and you're trying to give, that's bankruptcy, emotional bankruptcy, and poor spiritual hygiene. Okay. That means you're not taking care of you, and you are the universe. That's the universe not taking care of herself. That doesn't make any sense. Why would she do that? That's not expansive, right? That doesn't serve the universe, it doesn't serve you because you are the universe. All right, that is what I have for you today. I encourage you to stop arguing with the universe because it's causing you extra suffering. And we don't need any more suffering in the world, okay? That's what we call dirty pain versus clean pain. There's things that we should be sad about and have grief about because it's appropriate, and then there's things that we cause ourselves pain when we are judging ourselves, right? Versus like, okay, radical acceptance. How can I feel this? How can I understand myself in a way that's going to help me get my needs met, and then I can go serve my face off. Okay, that's what I have for you today. Talk to you soon. And remember that everything is happening for you. Even if the thing doesn't feel good and expansive in the moment, it can be disguised as something hard for you to process. And when you really face it and you really embrace it, you will be able to grow in ways that will take you closer to where you are expanding towards. So take it as this is happening for me. This is a gift disguised from the universe, maybe as something that I'm deciding is not good, but you could decide. That's where your power is is to look at whatever you're facing right now as oh, okay, this is an interesting assignment, but I know it's gonna grow me, so let's go. Okay, I will talk to you on the next podcast.
