SPEAKER_02

Hey.

SPEAKER_06

I was just telling her, I want to work from home. I want an um at home job. And I just randomly start the video so she doesn't know that way. Like, I don't know. It just helps.

SPEAKER_02

So if I'm being the goof, like hair is candid goof. Yeah. But what I was trying to tell her is that you can get a lot of at-home jobs. I don't think you want to do a call center because you don't want to be like, hey, this is my house. You can't be rude to me.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Just like, God bless. When they're rude to you, like, God bless your heart.

SPEAKER_00

You can say that. Click.

SPEAKER_02

In some places, though they'll even say if you warn someone like twice and they're still cussing at you, you can hang up on them.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But some places won't let you do that. But just remember, you're in your house.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

This is this is my home.

SPEAKER_02

Like, sir, this is like that my whole the Holy Spirit lives here, sir. I can't have that language.

SPEAKER_06

Can you imagine? You get a nonbeliever, okay, and you buy the Holy Spirit lives in this home. And we're just not talking like that. I wonder what they would think. I think it would bring like maybe a soberness to them. I don't really think it depends on who you're talking to. Should try it. Would you get fired though? Like, you know, it's okay. I think it's okay.

SPEAKER_02

Well, even if you I mean you might because some places won't even let you say Merry Christmas. They say happy holidays. That's crazy. Far away from it.

SPEAKER_06

And I'll I would probably just take the risk get fired because I'd be like, look, the Holy Spirit lives in this house. And um, you're not gonna be disrespectful.

SPEAKER_02

Listen, you're not gonna make me feel any kind of way up and being nice to you. I own this house. You know what I'm saying? So I don't um just probably get an at-home job, but I would probably not do calling that's a dream if you have an at-home job. Honestly, the dream is full-time ministry, yeah, being full, like getting paid to be in ministry full-time because you only were already full-time ministry, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_06

Like, yeah, yeah. Well, I think you I don't know. I just I think I'm my my brain is just used to have it a job, you know.

SPEAKER_02

So I mean that would still be a job, yeah. You actually be able to focus on it.

SPEAKER_06

But I'm used, I'm just used to like work, go to work, and then come to ministry, you know. I don't know, and but so like it would be like a whole different mindset.

SPEAKER_02

You didn't have to do that, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

That'd be good, that'd be cool. That'd be wonderful, super cool.

SPEAKER_02

Listen, I would have all my curriculum written.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, yeah, yeah, I'd have probably all the podcast things that I um just be scripted out at that point. Probably wouldn't do that because it's just not my character anyway. I don't know. I don't think that's I'm just like, hey Serena, this you want me to say what and when and where that would be really robotic.

SPEAKER_00

And then we're yeah, we're not wanting robotic.

SPEAKER_06

This is completely only thing that we we just study for the um subject, but like we don't really never know what's gonna be said, really. Like we have our notes or whatever, but most of the time it's like it doesn't go as we planned.

SPEAKER_02

And that's why you don't make a plan because you can't disappoint yourself without a plan. Like I mean, what's a plan? We won't come and talk, yeah. And um, we know I mean, obviously, we know tonight we're gonna talk about the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, also, um, we're in a different room if you notice. That wall will look different here soon.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, we're in the middle of like moving and um redecorating, same place, just different room, bigger room, and the AC is on point, okay, because the other one was a little stuffy in there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, this hey, we're coming up, uh at one point in the video, you're like because it was just so stupid.

SPEAKER_06

I feel like we're moving up. The Lord heard the praise, yeah. The Lord is the Lord shall provide. This provision has been made. Have you ever listened to that song?

SPEAKER_01

I did listen to it. I love that song. Okay, so this is good, and this is a good song.

SPEAKER_06

I it makes me feel like I can take a wall down, you know what I mean? Like, okay, uh, we do got this, it's fine because Jehovah Jireh. That's right, you know? So today we'll be speaking about the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKER_03

I was gonna say something though. Okay, say it though.

SPEAKER_02

Like two weeks ago, I was praying open our church service, yeah, and in the middle of my my prayer, I said, Oh, Elohim. And then I went completely blank because it was so intense. Yeah, I don't know if we say Elohim a lot in church or whatever, but it just like it came to me like the creator God, this is who I'm praying to right now. Yeah, and I just remember because I had said a whole prayer up until that point, and I said, Oh, Elohim. And my prayers for opening church do get intense sometimes because that's how it's developed in me. Like when I first started praying, our church, I'm okay, I was nervous, you know what I'm saying? But now I'm just like, it's a conviction of like, yeah, but it just like because we're talking about gyros. I was just thinking about like like Elohim, like you think about like the he created it all, and there's something really intense about that. So it was like everything in me stopped for a moment, like it just like a hiccuped, and then I went back into my prayer, and then I closed my my prayer, but it was just so intense for a moment because that's the kind of worship, yeah. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, he's not just Jira, it's not just Jehovah Jira that provides, but he like, yeah, yeah, put the sun in the sky and all that stuff.

SPEAKER_03

You know, it's intense.

SPEAKER_02

He created you, he's great. Okay, yes, and he created you, thank you. And today we are talking about the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKER_06

Um, will you explain um like the Trinity? Because I think the way the Lord gave you for that is like really cool, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So the Holy Spirit, so let's just be super real here. The Trinity is confusing. Okay, I think the one confusion is is that we're we're literally trying, like I just said about Elohim, like we're literally trying to break down and describe God. Yeah, how do you do that? Like, except like trying to come up with the best way to make someone understand that they are three three diffinct persons who are inseparable and they coexist. Because that doesn't make sense in our brains. No, because we are all just right. I'm just one person. No, I do have mind, body, and soul. Yeah, wait, a soul is my mind. So I have no no, I have mind, no, no, I have soul, spirit, and body. Goodness. Sorry. So I mean, I guess I am made up with three things, but not in why did I just say sorry? You're sorry that that my theology was wrong.

SPEAKER_06

I was just catching up. I was catching up. I feel so bad sometimes because I'll let you just talk and I'm just like, yeah, and then my brain catches up. Okay, we're good. We're good, we are um we're back, soul, mind, and body. Or no because spirit, yes, mind body, because the Bible actually teaches our minds are in our soul. Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_02

So there is soul, spirit, and body.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, soul, spirit. Why do I keep saying mind?

SPEAKER_02

Our emotions and our mind are the part of our soul.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, say it again so they don't they're not gonna be wrong again.

SPEAKER_03

We're gonna spend 15 minutes on this one thing. We can't say right. Soul, spirit, body.

SPEAKER_00

There we go.

SPEAKER_02

That's what we are made of, but I want to tell you about the trinity. Okay, the trinity. So it is the father, the son, and the holy spirit. So it is God the Father. Um, the Son, of course, is Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Lord. Um, I found an analogy that I like because I think that it um it really does um connect with scripture. Because there are analogies like, you know, the water, like there's a vapor and there's gas, and there's and when all of it makes sense because it's just trying to say that one thing is, you know, but we don't want, you know, yeah, yeah, we don't want to disconnect the things. We're not trying to, you know, some people say there's modalism where we're trying to say that God's in three different modes, and that's not what it is. He's three, it's three separate persons who coexist. So um the analogy I found that I like is so it's the speaker, the word, and the breath. So the speaker is God the Father, um, he is the origin and the source of the thought. So he is here, so he is the origin and the source of the thought. The word, which is Jesus, is the expression or utterance of the speaker. So he's the open mouth.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then the breath is the invisible force that projects and carries the word. So if we think about the the speaker, the word, and the breath. So God's the thought. And we actually see this, which is beautiful, we see this in the creation story. So God, the Father, planned creation, God, the Son, spoke creation into existence, and God, the Holy Spirit, moved over creation, bringing life in order. And we we learn that, um, like in John, we learn that Jesus is the word, yeah. So he is the word that comes, comes forth, and then the action is the Holy Spirit. So that all makes sense to me to say it in that way. So God the speaker, Jesus the word, and the Holy Spirit, the breath. So they are all one entity that work together to make something happen.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And that's super good.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then so also the word I said Elohim, it is actually in the very first um scripture of the word. So Genesis 1 and 1, it says Elohim. And Elohim, Elohim is plural. So it's not, it's actually saying um what does it say? Make them in our image. What is the very first? I should have it in front of me, but it uses the word Elohim, which is plural, which means more than one. Yeah. So when he's when there's they're talking about it, they're actually talking about the Trinity, even though the word the Bible doesn't say the word Trinity.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Obviously, that's a word that we've created to kind of understand what's going on. Yeah. But even so, we know, even also in the old testament, it says our God is one, the God of Israel is one. It's because they are one, but they coexist. Yeah. And the the easiest way to understand that is to think, okay, the Lord thinks it, Jesus says it, the Holy Spirit is action on it.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that is so good.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I think I think it's a beautiful one. I think it helped me kind of understand, especially when we can bring it back to scripture. Because not all the examples are like found directly in scripture.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Um yeah. Super good. I like that. And he's still he still brings like life and order to things now. And so that's super cool. And that's what the Holy Spirit He does, you know. Um, and the Old Testament, he kind of he came upon people um to give them so they can complete a task or like say what the Lord's saying, yeah, and stuff like that. So I think it's cool, yeah, to prophesy, to tell it to do the things of the Lord, and he still kind of works in that way now, and so it's super cool.

SPEAKER_02

I think the most beautiful thing about the Holy Spirit is that we see, like in our last video, I meant to go over the um the for the law of first mentions, but I actually ended up posting about it on our Facebook. Um, so the the law of first mentions is when something is mentioned the first time in the Bible, it's usually the main idea of that thing. Yeah, so the first time we see the Holy Spirit in the Bible, it's um Genesis 1 and 2. It says the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. When you do like a deep dive, formless and void actually meant chaos. Okay, so the first thing that we see the Holy Spirit do in the Bible is he is swirling around chaos, and it's like he's he's waiting for the word to come, for action to come. So it also says like it he was hovering over the waters, and that that hover is uh it's um indicative of like a um a mother hen, kind of like um what is the word they they use the specific a brooding, like a brooding hen. Yeah, yeah. So it was looking over its it's um it's young. So from the beginning, it's like the Holy Spirit was there, and he was waiting to put all this chaos into order, yeah. So he was just waiting for the father, already had the thought, the Holy Spirit was there, and he was waiting for the word to go forth because the very next scripture we know light comes, yeah. So it's like order out of confusion, life out of emptiness, light out of darkness, and peace out of chaos. And we know from the beginning of everything, he still does that now. Yeah, that's literally what the Holy Spirit does. Yeah, he is still doing all of that, he's still creating peace out of our chaos, yeah, and he's beautiful, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And so the word says, I will ask the father and he will give you another helper. Um, helper is like comforter, counselor, or advocate, and another is um, I think it's alos. Is it alos? Is that how you say it? Alos or something like that, and it means of the same kind. So we can look at what Jesus did. It's as the same kind as Jesus. So we can look at what Jesus did, and he he taught, he walked with them, he comforted them, he um he healed, he guided them in truth, he um all kinds of things, and so like that's what the Holy Spirit does for us now, but he lives within us, and so I think yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So Jesus was saying, when I leave, there's gonna be someone that's that comes after me that's just like me. Yeah, but he's also it says he's also gonna remind you of me. He's gonna give you the power to do ministry, to to do um the Holy Spirit is gonna be the receiving and the power to do all the things, to have the right mind, to work.

SPEAKER_06

He's not like just a power or a presence, you know, he is a he is like a he is a person because you can like you can grieve him, you know, you can turn him away. And so like he's he's a person, you know, and it's super just you can grieve him. You know, it's hard for a like um a mind to comprehend it really, you know. And so I don't know, it's really cool.

SPEAKER_02

It makes sense because we're we're not when we're in a relationship with God, what means we're all we're in relationship with all three parts of them, right? So um I understand grieving him when I think of maybe grieving you, like doing something purposely where you probably don't want to be around me, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, um, but it also says that he convicts, he is um he guides us, he will disclose what is to come. So he is also prophecy, yeah. Um, and it also said that he would always glorify Jesus. So I think that's one reason why we say that like if someone is a prophet and they don't they say something that does not actually, we can't actually put it under the blood and come back to the word of God and say this connects, then it's probably not right. But yeah, but because he is the the one who's going to also remind us of Christ. Yeah, he's gonna point us back. Yeah, well, and like I was thinking about that too. From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water, yeah. He's a living water that flows through us. The the one he you know, he's not just the power, but the living water, like yeah, that it's it's empowering, it's fresh, it's giving the word, it's it's giving life to people, it's healing people. And I I don't mean I don't I mean like soul, spirit, body. Yeah, I said it right at that time.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, well, also he his spirit um bears witness with ours. And it literally means he he assures us that we are God's children. You know, and I was thinking, I was like, oh, how how much do we need that? Because there's times I walk through my life and I'm like getting this, you know, and then but like he's that assurance, he's that thing the person that's like, hey, you are his, and he reminds you, and I think we we need that uh along with this walk because it's not it's not always easy, it's not always like what we want it to be, you know, and so like it's nice to have someone that reminds you, like, hey, Serena, you're his, and no one can pluck you out of his hand. I mean, you can walk right out of it if you want to, but I mean, you you're you know, you are his, and so to have that assurance and to have that guaranteer, and guaranteeer is literally like he is the he is the the the payment, the down payment that says, and they had that. I'm thinking it was a thing where they gave it the down payment and it was the assurance that the rest is coming, you know, and so he that began a good work in you is going to complete it and he's gonna guarantee it because he that first down payment is the Holy Spirit, and it's like, hey, I am coming back for you, I am coming back for my bride, and here is something to assure you along the way, and that bears witness with me. Yeah, and he testifies on my behalf of me and all the things that I've done, even when you're going through your life and you're like sometimes you get a little, you know, he tells you what his word says, he'll bring you back to it, kind of like you were saying, and and he'll remind you of it. And but like I think like he he was there when Jesus did all the miracles and stuff like that, you know, he didn't miss out on that. So I think he reminds you of that also, and reminds you, hey, like, don't you know who your Jesus is? Don't you know who your God is? He is not limited, like he doesn't have a limit, like he is he works outside of time, you know, and so like let me remind you of who he is, like you said, creator, and so like he the Holy Spirit is so important because he also reminds our flesh, like he dethrones the flesh in us, you know, where we as sometimes to put ourselves on the throne of our lives, or and he dethrones the culture within us that we live in, and he dethrones sin in our life, and he he just coaches us along this walk, and I think it's very beautiful. Yeah, I'm probably gonna say that this whole video, it's very beautiful. I think so beautiful.

SPEAKER_02

So let's come back to the most simple, like so. He is the tangible form of God, yeah. So when you feel the gooseies, yeah, he's the tangible form of God. No, I know obviously he's not there just for the gooseies.

SPEAKER_06

So I think sometimes you may not feel that, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That is very true.

SPEAKER_03

But it is a little like there. Why are we doing this?

SPEAKER_02

But I think that one thing, you know, in a good way, not you said the guarantee, but I think we skipped saying, like, because we mentioned the old testament and how he came on people and he did, but it wasn't until the Jesus died on the cross for us, and he was like, I'm gonna send someone. So that means that once you are saved, you do have the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, he's not something that you have you have to work hard for.

SPEAKER_02

He's a he's you got saved, you got the Holy Spirit, yeah. Um, and I think that that's a confusion too, because go ahead.

SPEAKER_00

Do you just hear your thing?

SPEAKER_02

Speaking in tongues and all those things are evidence of the Holy Spirit, but there doesn't just because you don't do that doesn't mean you don't have the Holy Spirit. And I think that there's a kind of a mix-up there. Um when you are saved, you have the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKER_06

Also, well, speaking in tongues is the evidence, right? But so is um fruit. Yeah. Sorry, I just and so is like the things that you like the things you do for the Lord should always be based off the character of the fruit. Right. If you have the results, but you don't have the character of the fruit, then something's wrong. Your roots are bad. To say it in a way where we can kind of um so the root of

SPEAKER_03

Everything flowing from should be sorry I want you to keep I want you to keep doing it from the fruit of the Holy Spirit, right?

SPEAKER_06

Because it the Bible says the wicked can prosper, they can they can move a room, you know. But if our if we we should be able to look at the fruit and be like, hey, they have the Holy Spirit, you know, and works are also like you going to tell someone about Jesus is also evidence, you know, to me. Yeah. Um, and Paul says it's worship.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. When he gives the gospel, he says it's worship to God.

SPEAKER_06

And the Holy Spirit is how we can like he does all this personal stuff with us, but he's how we worship in spirit and truth, also, you know. So there's a lot of aspects to the Holy Spirit.

SPEAKER_02

There are. And I just I just think that we pull out the ones that are visible and um we kind of set them on a place higher on a platform, and um, yeah, I would tell you I wouldn't even be okay now if it wasn't for the Holy Spirit. It has nothing to do with you hearing me sing or anything like that because those things would not even be possible for me, but it's through his power. You just said it too, though. Like anyone can move a ring. I mean, we know from the the story of Hoffney, Hoffney and Phineas that you can be a priest and not know God.

SPEAKER_00

So um that is terrifying. Oh gosh, it's so terrifying.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like it's only it should it's terrifying to people who care. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, so but what is the fruit of the spirit? The good it's love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, self-control, faithfulness, um, goodness. And the thing that's interesting to me is there's there's uh nine. So it's okay, but the fruit is not many different fruits. Yes, it's one fruit with many um what is that word? Um like a cluster? Yeah, it's like a um many facets. Okay, okay. So many different things that it that it does, that he does. Okay, and so but it's there's nine, is which nine represents divine completeness and um when things are like is it finality or something like that? Finality, am I saying it wrong finality and then usefulness? Okay, yeah. I asked you because I I sometimes say it wrong and I'm gonna use the word.

SPEAKER_02

I believe in you, you got it.

SPEAKER_06

Finality. See, I'm saying big words. Look at me go.

SPEAKER_02

Spell it. I'm sure I'm joking. No, don't make it. I'm joking. Oh jigger.

SPEAKER_06

Finality, so I thought that was super cool. That like you know, I made myself laugh. I'm sorry. So I just thought that was cool, like uh kind of like a it is. It just means that God does everything on purpose, yeah. He I mean everything he does, but and so like I'm I'm so I think we have this habit right now where we look at the movement in the room without looking at okay, so do you have this nun? Or are you just out here, you know, because even I mean, you know, and that does not say that you're a bad person if you don't, that just and but like are you able to admit where you're you need to grow at? You know what I mean? And so like it's like okay, what is your character?

SPEAKER_02

And we and that's very important, um, yeah, godly character, because what it says that they will know that you follow Jesus by your fruit, buy your fruit, so they'll know, and they'll probably think, and let's just be real, if you are yelling and cussing at people, they'll probably not think that you are a Christian. Um, and that's not about being legalistic, that's about having a witness. Yeah, it's not like well, you you just make rules, no?

SPEAKER_06

What does your character be?

SPEAKER_02

No, I want people to come to Christ.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, that's good.

SPEAKER_00

I thought about it. I'm just I'm gonna get it. I'm thinking I'll take it. Yep.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, Haley. Okay, no, no, okay, okay, but it's fair. So let's let's say so. If we if we if we are judging people by because I think also, okay, so we're Pentecostal. I mean we're non-denominational, but just let's just be be real. We're like characteristics. There is sides towards Pentecostal, and I think sometimes in the Pentecostal movement, people idolize the the works of the Holy Spirit and not the fruits of the Holy Spirit. So there are issues where people are, you know, because it says that it says that your gifting is uh without repentance, right? So God created you for something. Anyone, I mean, if someone can sing, they can sing. But someone who has gone to the throne room, yeah, and then carries you to the throne room with them with their voice is completely different. Yeah, because they've spent time with God, like they've spent time, they've they've cultivated um you know, Christian character, they've they've cultivated that time, and I think that's why like we say, Well, they're just full of the Holy Spirit, it's because it shows more. Yeah, I don't think that one person has more Holy Spirit than the other because we're all silly.

SPEAKER_06

I'm just saying, what is it rooted in? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The only thing that wants to.

SPEAKER_02

I'm just saying that we idolize something when the reality is something different.

SPEAKER_06

Um, I think Pastor said it on Sunday when she said the image we have becomes what we idle. And I think we have the image in our mind that, oh, this is what his moving looks like. So that must be the fruit. No, the fruit is the nine that we listed, you know.

SPEAKER_02

And so how do you love people?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. And so how we idolize what things look like or what they're supposed to look like. And then if we don't, we just kind of dismantle the whole thing. When sometimes the whole when the Holy Spirit moves, it sobers a room. There's an awe moment, there's a moment where honestly, sometimes you can't do anything, and it's it's not all just like I fell on my face and I'm screaming to the top of my life. Sometimes it's I can't say anything, and I'm just standing there probably looking kind of clueless because I'm just like baffled at what just happened, you know? And so I think we should be careful of like tearing down the moves of the Holy Spirit in whatever capacity he chooses, um, based off of our image that we have in our minds. I think that it should always be in what is what is it rooted.

SPEAKER_02

I think the expectation should be that the Lord shows up, it shouldn't be that we sung the house down. Yeah, like it should be like as long as the Lord shows up, that's where I want to be. Yeah. Also, I want to warn you about something. If you ever come to our church, Haley doesn't look friendly, but she's very friendly.

SPEAKER_03

I it's just gonna my call. She's just intense, she's just she's in her thoughts. Focused and my focus face. I don't know. I don't this is her focus face, and I'm like, and I she's super friendly and she's lovely and she's wonderful and she's goofy, but she also people always like, yeah, it shows on your face.

SPEAKER_06

And I'm like, really? No, though, like, not really, because my I'll just be looking like that, not I don't even have nothing on my brain or nothing in my like nothing going on. I'm just like thinking sometimes, and I'm just thinking on the Lord, really. I know, and I'm like preparing my heart for the service, and sometimes I just like I'm just like, I don't know, I'm just focused.

SPEAKER_03

You know how to explain yourself. I'm just being goofy.

SPEAKER_02

I think like this this Sunday I walked in and uh I made it, you know, I made a beeline to you to hug you, but it was also I was walking up to this.

unknown

I was like, are you okay?

SPEAKER_03

Shut up, but you hugged me, and I know you. I'm just no, I oh my god. Now I'm gonna make don't do that, don't just all the time.

SPEAKER_02

Something broke, something's not okay.

SPEAKER_06

The entire time. I'm gonna clap my hands a small the whole time.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, no, no, no, we're not gonna be robots.

SPEAKER_06

I'm just playing with you, I'm just kidding.

SPEAKER_03

Um, so back to the spirit.

SPEAKER_06

That's the Holy Spirit is that fruit, you know, and it's one fruit, it's him, it's it's who he is, and it what it's what he does. So we're just saying, like, you know, this is what he does, but don't misread it by only focusing, focusing on results, you know, when it's based on the fruit that he brings. But he doesn't only just move individually, he um moves within a congregation and he brings unity, he um he allows us to operate in our gifts, and he he brings the power to what we what we have, you know, and yeah, um, because in him we have the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. So, like, you know, it's it's by his spirit, it's not by our own doing within the congregation, within a group of people, whether a congregation, just a group of people, whatever.

SPEAKER_02

If you're not by mind, not by not by power, but by the spirit of God.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, yeah, and so it's it's how we operate why how we worship, you know, in spirit and in truth. And without his spirit, it's neither one, really.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, nope, no, it's not.

SPEAKER_06

Oh boy, we're not gonna open that can of worms. Oh my goodness, but it's not a can of worms, but you know what I mean.

SPEAKER_02

There's worms in there somewhere.

SPEAKER_00

There's just a lot there. What does it say?

SPEAKER_02

Like when Jesus is explaining Sheol or Hell, yeah, he explains it like the burning, heaping pile of garbage outside of the the city walls of Jerusalem where the worms eat away at it. Yeah, yeah. There's a visual for you.

SPEAKER_00

That's probably what it's like because I mean, what's like that's what are you doing?

SPEAKER_06

That's what he's comparing it to. I mean, I don't want to be there if it's not in his spirit. What spirit are you operating in, though? Really? You know what I mean? And so you said something though about like who's Lord. That was really good.

SPEAKER_04

What did I say?

SPEAKER_06

Um, about like who's Lord.

SPEAKER_02

Um, like in our that I actually had to say this to church the other day. I said that you know, we we we there's the verse that says, where the spirit of the Lord is, there's liberty. Yeah, and I will tell you that there's sometimes that when we're in the church, it does not feel liberated. So I I thought about it and I was just like, I think that where we put the spirit of the Lord as Lord, yeah, there is liberty. Yeah, where we allow him to move and our thoughts are directed towards him, that's when he moves, that's when there's freedom. Yeah, that's when there's liberation, and that's when we and to worship or yeah, you know, yeah. So because who why would why would he want to be if we can grieve him? Why would he want to be in a room where no one's minds on him?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, even if your face looks like this for a little bit, Serena, because you're trying to focus.

SPEAKER_03

I am focusing on the Holy Spirit as we speak. I don't know what you're talking about. No eye process like that. I'm sorry. I'm just like, Haley?

SPEAKER_00

Just completely transfixed. Just like, are you sleeping or are you okay?

SPEAKER_02

We're okay, we're the opposite though, because so I walked in there and she was like that and I hugged her, and I was like, okay, I'll go stuck girls crying. And then I went down to the altar and I'm on my knees because I like to pray before church, I think. Um, and that's just one thing too that the Lord's moved like worked in me. I believe that my prayers before church changed the atmosphere.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, well, I pray for my there's no point to pray if you don't like and sometimes if I look like that, I'm praying, but I'm not praying out loud. I'm just like I'm focusing in. Well, there's stuff you gotta pull out the atmosphere sometimes, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_03

Like just serious business.

SPEAKER_02

So you're over there, like and then I go to the I can I go into the altar and I'm praying and I'm you know crying, and then all of a sudden they start singing the bridge to um um uh Jesus, Jesus, you made the Trimble. So they start singing your name is light, and I was like, say what? And I'm like, yeah, I'm on my knees, and I'm just like and I'm like giving it my awe and forgetting that the whole church is starting to get packed behind me. Yeah, so I get up and I'm wiping tears, and I'm just like, I just had a real intimate moment. Yeah, me and the Lord with all y'all. Yeah, I was the only person at the altar too.

SPEAKER_06

Well, there's like sometimes when I pray, like I'll get a song, you know, and like the Holy Spirit he he prays. That's also a thing that he does, you know. He prays to say that earlier. He prays like when you don't know what to say, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

When you don't know what to say, when you know, through groaning, groaning, yeah, groans for you, and so and he knows you're groaning, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And then sometimes, like, no respect for a person, he's not because he'd be like, Haley, here's a song, and I'm just like, Yeah, and then sing that song, girl.

SPEAKER_00

No, but well lately it's I usually get songs too. Um, oh gosh, you don't have to be able to do it.

SPEAKER_06

It's just been like I don't mind waiting on you.

SPEAKER_02

Uh huh. So, how does that sound when you sing it?

SPEAKER_06

I was like, I was like, I don't mind waiting on I'm not gonna sing it, I can't do it.

SPEAKER_03

You just did it and it was lovely. Oh, yeah. To the recording in the studio right now.

SPEAKER_06

Um, so that's the thing I'll do back up. I just be like, I don't mind waiting on you. It's so different than that. It's so different when you're together though, because it's just so more intimate, you know? She's like, I never mind waiting. Because I'm waiting on him to like answer me. And I just want him to know, like, I don't mind waiting on you because whatever you're fixing to do, it's gonna it's going to be worth waiting on. He's always worth waiting on, you know? And so it's like I don't know, it's more that hard to worship. Yeah. Is it that one? It was is it what one? Is it that one?

SPEAKER_01

Did I say I'm coming back? Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I was just like, oh man, it's all about you. And yeah, Caitlin took a picture of me last night. I was seeing my phone. Last night was good, mad, that you didn't go.

SPEAKER_02

It was hot, very mad. It was very hot. It was hot. I'm not gonna go. It's hot. I'm not gonna be sweaty in front of all y'all, even though I was like, I'm not gonna go out there. A little, a little, a little mad, and put myself and subject myself to that. But I do. I'm sorry that I missed you singing.

SPEAKER_06

I didn't see no, they were singing, and we were just singing along with them. We were just support, you know. They were singing good songs, and I don't even know who it was, but they were singing.

SPEAKER_02

Listen, did you like the video I sent you last night of that dog funeral where the guy was singing goodness of God?

SPEAKER_03

Wait, what? Listen, that is so unhinged. It was a real funeral for a dog.

SPEAKER_02

Oh and I'm sorry if this triggers you, but it was very confusing to me. Like, there's all I'll show you afterwards. There's all these people, there's even a drummer, and this guy's on mic singing goodness.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my life, you have been faithful because a dog died.

SPEAKER_02

So I was just like, Oh man, that's unhinged. I don't know. That's a good song now. It is. So if my cat dies, we're having a full I'll have you sing it.

SPEAKER_00

Full one. No, you sing it, you can sing it.

SPEAKER_03

Sing it, I would be I would be mortified too, though. I'd be like, I mean he was so good. Poor fluffy cat.

SPEAKER_02

He is a fluffy cat. He's very fat and he's very cute and chunky. But, anyways, what I was gonna say earlier is one thing the Lord has actually he actually had me tell someone this the other day that one of the keys to the Holy Spirit is vulnerability. Yeah, okay. A lot of us have a hard time with that, but if we're gonna be in relationship, it's like opening up because like like you said, he he knows because I know that this is uh no, you know what?

SPEAKER_06

I just know that it's like hard, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well, and I when I just said though, like he knows you're groaning. Triggered so uncomfortable now, slap it off, you know. He knows you're groaning, yeah. So he knows the intensity of what you're feeling, yeah. So if he already knows the intensity of what you're feeling, maybe just tell him what you're feeling, yeah. So he you can work it out together, yeah. Like the Lord already knows your thoughts. So when it says like give it all to the Lord, come with him with a you know prayer and petition and all these things, it's not that he doesn't know, but yeah, is it not to your benefit to be an intimate vulnerability with the Lord?

SPEAKER_06

How else can you be? Well, it grows, it grows your relationship, yeah, it brings you closer when there's that level of trust. And I told you last time, my thing is trust. Like, I it's one of those things that I like, I know I trust the Lord because I I like I've seen him move, I've I've experienced enough with the Lord to know like he is who he says he is.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

You know, but like sometimes like it's just like if I tell you that, are you still gonna be with me? Like, you are you sure, dude? Like, you know, you don't even know yeah, but he already knows, but it's just it doesn't change, like sometimes that's how our minds think. And I think it's like one of those things like Adam and Eve in the garden, you know, they hid because they were like kind of I feel like it was kind of like shame of what they did, you know it was a shame for sure, yeah. And so it's like who told you? You know what I mean? I think Calen did a thing and he was like, Who told you that? And uh yeah, so like why why hide yourself from him? You you know he knows you, he knows the very hairs on your face. That is so deep though.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so if you've like grown in shame, yeah, and you understand, like it says that Jesus despised the shame, like we're not supposed to be in shame, and like and that's oh god, that's a whole thing. That's a whole thing in a episode. It is a whole thing, like we're not supposed to shame each other. Our Christian walk is not about shame, it's not about condemnation. So there is there's a disconnect, but we can work it out with the Lord. But he did say the other day, he said that vulnerability was like the code to breaking like some of our issues with freedom, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And which I was talking to someone, it was about um intimacy within the covenant, and um I I told this person that it was communication, but I got home and I was like thinking on that, and I was like, the Lord was just like a sense that he was saying, like, no, take it deeper. Where does communication even come from? It comes from connection, but like intimacy is birth through connection, and so many of us are kind of disconnected because we do withhold certain parts of ourselves and we're afraid to be vulnerable, it kind of takes the connection and the intimacy out of the relationship when we do that, and so you're trying to say a lot of marriages don't have any intimacy because they're not vulnerable to one another.

SPEAKER_02

Just say yes, yeah, and just so and listen to that, please.

SPEAKER_06

It but it takes it takes both people if one person's being vulnerable and the other one is just kind of like rah. Oh, yeah, I mean that kind of sucks. No, I'm saying like two willing partners they're like, hey, maybe we're supposed to do better, and then they decide to disclose more to one another, and connection restored, and even in their relationship with like the Holy Spirit and the Lord, the covenant of you got it, and so yeah, so like connection, intimacy, communication all needs it flows from each other, yeah, and it starts. You have to be vulnerable with each other, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so you and the Holy Spirit just welcome to our um marriage council.

SPEAKER_06

Covenant is covenant, and it's not always easy, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Uh oh, I do want to say though, it's one thing that we did miss because we're probably winding down, yeah. The time, but it's been good talking to you.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, I always talking to you.

SPEAKER_02

That Isaiah 11, 2, yeah, actually explains also some things that are the spirit of the Lord. So, yeah, like you said before, they're different facets of the spirit of the Lord. This is not different spirits, this is the Holy Spirit, yeah. Like bundled up. So it says that the spirit of the Lord is a wisdom, it's understanding, it's counsel, it's strength, it's knowledge, and it's the fear of the Lord.

SPEAKER_06

Do you want to explain?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, well, uh what? You gave me your notes. Let's see. Wisdom, when and how to apply his truth. And that is what he said to us. He said, Um, the oh, I remember so in scripture, Jesus says, or it says, Don't be concerned about what you're gonna say. He told them to go out and do ministry, but don't be concerned about what you're gonna say, because the Holy Spirit will give you the words as long as you are in relation with the Holy Spirit. Yeah, he will give you the words to say. Yeah, so that's wisdom.

SPEAKER_06

That's and when and how to use your gift.

SPEAKER_02

It's also yeah, because I think a lot of us speak, but we don't speak through wisdom. Yeah, so there's an issue there because a lot of times we're like, Well, I really think I'm supposed to say this, but we don't stop and say the pause for a minute. Yeah, let's appreciate the pause. Let me run this back through my processor and see what the Holy Spirit thinks about it.

SPEAKER_06

Because some things, if you like using the wisdom in that, is just because you know it doesn't mean you're supposed to say it. Sometimes you're supposed to pray. Yeah, um, sometimes the Lord He'll trust you with something so that you can pray about it, yeah, and more or less not say anything.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and sometimes we give the gospel wrong. Like it's it's wisdom to give the gospel because we're supposed to, but if you sometimes we give it wrong and we give it in a way that's demeaning, yeah, or just like not in the love of Christ, yeah, and so that is a lack of wisdom, yeah. So we have to run that back through our brain. So there's understanding insight, seeing truth clearly, counsel, guidance, direction, right judgment. So it all works together.

SPEAKER_05

You see how the Holy Spirit flows, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And that's one way he also brings chaos to order.

SPEAKER_05

Order, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

In our minds, he allows the words that we say to bring chaos to order in other people.

SPEAKER_03

You have to yield to his counsel.

SPEAKER_06

Like sometimes people like, I know I know better, you know, and you don't. I'm gonna shoot myself in the foot if I say this, sir. Don't say it. Please touch. If that's how you are starting out, just automatically don't do it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't do that. So might is power and strength to do his will. We did talk about that. Knowledge, knowing him personally, so knowing the knowledge of him. Because we actually already know knowledge with wisdom, understanding, and counsel, but we want to know him, right? Yeah, and then fear the Lord is reverence and worship. So, like you said before, we worship in spirit and truth, meaning that we this the Holy Spirit works through us to worship the Lord. Yeah, and it says Jesus is truth. So we're again in the Trinity, where we're all in this this beautiful like makeup of how we're just worshiping, we're worshiping the Lord. Um this comes out of Isaiah in Revelations. I read all your notes, they were wonderful.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, so the Holy Spirit, um yeah, it's just awesome, and it he's not something that he's someone that we reverence and that we honor and that we surrender to, but he's not something that we had to earn on our own doing. Yeah, it was given by the blood of Jesus Christ, and so if you're saved and you come through salvation, you have the Holy Spirit, and in the same way, the closer you get, the more cut you become, the more, the more consecrated, the more sanctified you become, the more the Holy Spirit shows through you.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, that's why we will see some see some people who are just like booming in power, but it's because those people you don't know what they're doing behind closed doors with their life. And that scares me because I'm like, oh no, I'm gonna be me, and then I'll figure out how to get them, you know.

SPEAKER_06

Somebody posted on Facebook, he was like, She's it said if you could take someone else's problems and they all put put it in the hat and you could grab one, would you get would you take the risk of taking theirs or would you keep yours? I was like that's good. I think I'll just keep mine. The Holy Spirit's already working on me on mine. Well, also because he empowers you to do the will that he has for you, creating you for purpose, you know, very purpose, and so like be grateful, you know, what he's given you. And yeah, it's it's yeah, it all works. Um, so in a um overall view, what would you tell someone about the Holy Spirit?

SPEAKER_02

That when you are saved, you are sealed by the Holy Spirit. So he comes and lives in you. It's kind of like back in the old days when they have the envelope, and like the pharaoh had a signet ring, and they put wax on the envelope, and they they shoved the signet ring on there, and then it was stamped clothes. But it wasn't just stamped clothes, it was stamped closed by the most important person that could stamp it. So that's the same thing. So we're stamped clothes, we had the Holy Spirit in us, and um that the Lord said he would be a comforter and he would be a reminder, and he would go with us, and he would be um a friend to us. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then it's all about just trying to understand that trying to get closer to that that and learning how to surrender to that without just overthinking it.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, we got a lot of people versus Holy Spirit stuff, and we've gotta learn how to the word says your flesh will always be at war with, you know, and so it's just you have to crucify that and you have to just and we'll dive deeper into that. It's not just that. I'm not trying to blanket it, you know, and make it like superficial or anything like that, but just you know, we have we we have to learn to just surrender to his work and his will, and we will dive deeper in that. So don't think I'm superficial right now. How superficial?

SPEAKER_03

Oh my gosh. Who even are you?

SPEAKER_06

But that is the Holy Spirit. And as always, if you need help and understanding anything, and if we can be of benefit to you, we will be more than glad to help. Um, you can comment, you can message us, and we don't mind praying for you, we don't mind um giving you tools if you need them. Um, but we pray that this helped you and that you have learned something about the Holy Spirit and that it is of use to you guys. Um, Serena, you want to pray us out?

unknown

I know you're gonna do that.

SPEAKER_02

That's okay. That's okay.

SPEAKER_00

You are in the world.

SPEAKER_02

I've learned how to say LOD in front of the church.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, okay.

SPEAKER_02

Um, Lord, we we we thank you. We thank you for the Holy Spirit. We thank you that you thought ahead and you knew we would need comfort and we would need counsel and we would need direction and we would need power to do your word, and that we would just need every facet of you, and you made a way. Sorry, I thought it was at the mic.

SPEAKER_03

You sorry, you made a way for it all to be possible when you send down on the cross for us. It's like being in shop. Like your pastor messes up on a word and you enjoy not the look of the person next to you. Okay, I'm gonna start over. Okay, come on.

SPEAKER_02

I'm so sorry.

SPEAKER_00

It's the most part.

SPEAKER_02

Uh Lord, we are very thankful for you. We're thankful for your move through our words, God. We're thankful that for the truth of you, God, and we pray that through your spirit there would come salvation, and there would become comfort, and there would become peace. We we know that there are people tonight, God, that there is chaos that needs to be brought into order, and we're thankful because we know that the Holy Spirit does that for us. We pray for salvation. Um, we pray that um prodigals would come home, and we're just so thankful for you, God, and you are worthy of all the praise. Amen.

SPEAKER_06

Amen. And sorry that was super funny. I don't know. We love you guys. Y'all be blessed.

SPEAKER_01

Bye.
