We're at episode 22, not quite sure how that happened, but here we are, episode 22 of the wealthy me podcast. And you know, I was thinking about the inspiration behind creating this podcast. And I thought to myself, I sat and I thought to myself, what if there are millions of women, millions of women out there who, if they were willing to be honest, they really desire to experience wealth, but with ease. And what if we created the space where we could have conversations that give all of these women permission to say, yeah, that's what I want. I want wealth with ease. And so that's what this podcast is all about. All of our conversations are really going to be talking about wealth from the angle of you deserve to have it with ease, you can. And yeah, we still look at business and our careers and making money and all the things that we need to be doing in the world to survive and thrive. But how about we look at it from the angle of it gets to be easy? And so that's what these conversations are always going to be about. Welcome. This morning we're talking about the uh the income plateaus that sometimes happen for many of us as we're on our business journeys. And I just want to start off by the distinction between when you're experiencing an income plateau versus when you have you have reached an income ceiling. Because, and the reason why I want to make this distinction is the problems are completely different, and so are the solutions. So if you're experiencing an income plateau, what's really happened is that there's a pause in your growth. It's just a pause. When you're experiencing an income ceiling, that is a pause in your identity growth. And so it's two completely different things. Think of a plateau as it's a pattern that um that that causes your numbers to pause for a moment, but an income ceiling is a pattern derived from your identity growth that causes you to be at capacity in your income. And that's gonna require an identity shift versus if you're having a plateau, it's external. So an idea, an income ceiling is you have to change internally. A plateau is there are things you need to change external to you, like in your business. And that's what we're gonna talk about this morning. And I wanted to start off the distinction because today I'm gonna talk about income plateaus, but in a few weeks, we're gonna start diving into income ceilings a little bit more because in a couple weeks from now, I'm actually gonna have a private conversation with women who feel I want to talk about that. I want a safe space to talk about that's what I'm experiencing and how do I solve it. Again, it's two different sets of solutions. So we're gonna start this morning with plateaus. All right, let us jump right in. I'm gonna jump over here and see the comments. Yay, here we go. So if you are experiencing an income plateau, the problem number one that or the cause of this is usually, I want you to think back to when you first started your business. And I know I'm guilty of this. Everything I'm gonna talk to you about this morning, honestly, it's like it's been moments on my journey where this conversation has been a mirror. And so I remember when I first started off, I was willing to do every and anything. I was, you know, just in experiment mode. And I'm sure you can remember early days, you were willing to um offer anything, you're willing to charge anything, you were out there on every single platform, you were just doing the most, you were trying this audience, that audience, and the experimenting that we were willing to do got us to this point where we had an we achieved an income that we were okay with. It was like, yay, I've arrived. This is good. Wow, look at me. This income is good. And what happened is that we then became stabilized. And in being stabilized, what happens is we weren't we weren't continuing to reinvent, we were just running the same machine harder. But here's the thing the machine that we continued to run harder was us, like you, the human. So at first, and I was gonna go over this again. I again I can remember myself in this situation when I first started. Oh, I was going gangbusters. I tried this, I tried that, I offered this, I offered that, I offered a 30-day thing, I offered a two-day thing, I offered a weekend, I offered a six-month thing, I offered a one-year thing. Like it was just all of these experiments. I I did a group with only men, I did a group with men and women, I did a group with only, you know, women that met in person. I tried it all. And then as all of these experimenting things started to come together and to work, I got to this point where it's like, oh wow, this income is actually really good. And so instead of continuing to experiment, you stabilize, right? And then the the machine inside the business is doing the same thing, which means the machine outside the business, you to continue to stabilize this income, you start to work harder. And so, what is the solution? It's time, it might be time if you're experiencing an income plateau, it might be time to look at what needs to evolve in my business. Where do I need to look at my offers that need to change, my pricing that needs to change, my messaging that needs to change, the people that I am marketing to that needs to change? And for me, this was a complete overall. I had to really sit with myself, and I would say the last two to three years has been about that for me is looking at, you know, when I started this business 12 years ago, again, in the experimenting phase, just a simple example. When I first started, I worked with men. Today I don't work with men, I don't serve men in my containers, right? So um I've really decided I want to work with women who are in this midlife season because I can totally relay it. Like the 25 and 30 year olds, not my people anymore. But back in the day, come one, come all, you know. So it's really starting to look at your business if you're having an income plateau and asking yourself with discernment, where is my where have I not evolved in my business in the last two to three years? And it's time for some changes. And the the places to usually look are pricing, people, offer, messaging. Okay, so let's move on to the cause, cause number two, why you might be experiencing an income plateau. This one, I can so relay it. Again, going back to when we first started, we were everywhere. Every, you know, I I went out to networking events, I went to chamber events, I went to, I was online, I was in little meetings, I was doing little home parties, I was doing uh Saturday events, doing vision boards. Like I truly I can look back at that time in my life and it was like Tasha, you were everywhere. I did events in the Netherlands at Christmas time, I was in the UK. Oh my gosh, where have I not done an event? I I went to Alberta, Canada in the winter. Very no-no for Tasha. I I had events in Jamaica. I've been everywhere. I've done it, I've done, I was just, I truly was visibility at the time. I was everywhere. And so again, you get to this point where you get visible enough that it maintains your income that you have become okay with. And then you're in this like, wait a second, my income has paused, or it's experiencing a pause, right? Not growing, not multiplying like you desire. And the solution is obviously visibility. This might be time to look at who I can collaborate with, where can I do some partnerships? Where can I go out and start speaking? Okay, I've built my business, for example, I built my business on Facebook. It might be time to go to TikTok or Instagram or LinkedIn or YouTube, like changing platforms, becoming visible outside of where you have grown up in your business, right? Because if the same people keep seeing you and you're experiencing an income plateau, it's like my mentor said to me, Tasha, it's time for new people to get to know you, right? So start looking at evaluating your visibility. All right, I see some of you watching this morning. I love it. All right, let me know in the comments. You know, of the two so far, which of those are you like, you know what? Is it time to evolve and evaluate um the experimenting in your business? Number one. And number two, is it time to look at I need to become more visible? I need to find uh different places to be visible. Which one of those is really hitting, you know, is accurate for you this morning. And then the last one, problem number three, or cause number three of why we might be having an income plateau is that your environment has stopped expanding you. You are hanging out with the same people. And I just want you to know income, uh, environments shape income. So can you all type that? Environments shape income. This is one of the things that I can look back, and every time I quantum leaped in my income, it was because I made myself find environments that would expand me. I wanted to be around people that were thinking different. I wanted to be around people that were in different businesses than I, than the type of business I was in, different industries. I wanted to be in rooms where the conversations were just bigger. I wanted to be around people who, you know, the way that they were operating their business was just, they were just things that I would have never on my own, and in my natural everyday same environment, I would never think about. And so you want to start thinking about the environments that you're in and become intentional about finding environments where the next level version of you or the new and different things that need to be happening in your business in that environment, those things are normal conversations. Like nobody's gonna look at you crazy because you say you want to start multiplying your income, or you want to go, you want to go global, or you want to start working with more high-end clients, you know, if you are in an environment where people would say, What's wrong with you? Like, why aren't you satisfied with where you are right now? Or you know, just keep doing this is working, don't need to change it. So it's really looking at am I in environments that cause me to think differently? And sometimes, for example, I've been in spaces where what was different was not even strategic expansion, it was spiritual expansion. Like I remember participating in a retreat where I was like, these women are literally levitating. They are the way that they carry this energy of certainty and knowing and expansion and just flow and ease. And they were in there were business owners just like me. They were not yoga instructors, they were not like, you know, just out there where they were making a living off of their spirituality. They truly were gangbuster business women, but their spirituality was the thing that was driving them. And I was in awe. I I remember just being, I left being challenged in that I was like, Tasha, you got to get out of all of this strategy that causes you to carry stuff on your back, and you gotta get dive deeper into your spirituality, right? But just being in that environment made me think differently because I was raised on you create success and you create wealth one way only, and that is hard work. And so what I saw in those women was another way. All right, I'm jumping over here. Environment shapes income. Thank you, Ann, for typing that. And so I want to share with you that I've decided I'm gonna come from behind the screen and I'm gonna go out into the world, literally, all over the US, all over the world. I have a couple international locations uh that I am committed to doing this year, and I'm bringing the awakened, the wealthy woman within tour out there. My my business word for 2026 is visibility. So, one of the things that you can always count on me, I practice what I preach, and I literally looked at the things that I'm talking to you about, and I said to myself, okay, I mean, I've been doing all of these things. I I ended programs that I knew needed to evolve, I had evolved and they were no longer aligned. I changed programs that I knew needed to evolve because the women that I wanted to serve and what they needed had evolved. I had evolved. I looked at offers and pricing and messaging. So I've done all of those things in the last two to three years. I started experimenting again in the last two to three years, and now my my next thing is visibility. And so I want to invite you all, if you know that environments, being in an environment where the conversations are bigger, where the what is the word that I'm looking for? The possibilities that get discussed. You know, it's kind of like I am just sitting around with the same people, we're talking about the same things. I want to be in spaces where like I get new downloads, I get new ideas, and it's it's it's bigger than I ever thought was possible.
