The Wealthy Me Podcast
Stop Hustling For More MONEY
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
More effort isn’t the answer. I know…annoying, and not what we’ve been told.
High-performing women are really good at doing more.
Adding more.
Pushing more.
And then wondering why the results aren’t matching the effort.
Like… you’re literally the most capable person in the room and somehow still feel like you’re one more strategy away from it clicking.
Exhausting.
But the thing keeping you from earning more?
It’s probably not your work ethic.
Not your credentials.
Not the economy.
It’s how you’re operating.
Because there’s a version of you who earns more…and it actually feels easier.
Not because you got lucky or because you finally hustled hard enough.
But because you stopped playing the wrong game entirely.
(Which honestly…is a bit of a relief, right?)
That’s what we’re getting into at 8am EST, come join me live on YouTube.

SPEAKER_01You want to stop. You want to believe that you don't have to work so hard to get the results that you desire, whether it's financially or otherwise, in your career, in your life, in your business. And who wouldn't want to believe? You don't have to hustle for money. We all do. But you can't stop. No matter how hard you try, you cannot stop. So in this video, what I'm going to do this morning is I want to break down why is that? Why is it that physiologically you want to stop? Um, you're exhausted. Psychologically, you're like, this is not working. You want to stop, but you just can't. I want to talk about this from a neuroscience perspective. And because awareness is 90% of the solution, I want you to understand what's happening, why, even though you want to, you can't. And then I'm going to step into the other 10% and give you the solution. How do you stop it? What needs to happen? All right. So if you're here this morning, go ahead, give um all kinds of love to each other. And I want to talk through um this thing that we all experience as high-performing women because this hustling for money is something that we have so normalized. We actually think that we're being productive, we think we're doing a good thing, we think that this is the way. And not only is this the way, but this is the only way. And I just want to share with you that I created this podcast, the Wealthy Me Podcast, because I wanted to create a space where high-performing women could actually just normalize the fact that yeah, we want to be wealthy and we want it to be easy. We we actually want for money to come with more ease. And it's okay to say that. It's okay to confess. Um, all right. Hey, good morning, Beth. Morning. Uh, I see Marcia, I see uh someone else uh on here. Good morning. Okay, I'm not sure what's going on with the amazing Facebook and YouTube, but hopefully all of that is figured out. Here they are, they're all coming in now. I remember there was a certain point in my business journey where I it connected for me that when I work hard, money comes hard. And when I allow myself to be in flow, when I honor my intuition, when I, you know, in our goddess community, we we say kiss, when I keep it super simple, that's when money comes easily. And I became curious about why is that? And I started to just really dive in and do a lot more study around understanding my brain. And so I want to talk about that because nobody, I mean, how many times have you sat there and said, I just want to hustle, I want to work harder, I want, please, I love to grind myself into the ground to make more money and to have success. Nobody says nobody, and especially when you get to this point in your life, you know, where we're in this midlife season for us women, we just can't. We even if you want to, we can't. We can't do it anymore. And so, what's going on uh from a neuroscience perspective that's causing us, though, to keep trying? So the brain, as we know, is a predictive machine. What it does is it wants to be efficient and it wants to keep you safe. And as a prediction machine, so think about this it is from an efficiency perspective, it's going to look back at your patterns. It's going to, it's, it's got like history as data. And and being efficient, it's not trying to do anything new, right? It's not trying to come up with a new thing, it's really looking at what have you done in the past that has worked for you before. And what we've done in the past that's worked is hustling. So your brain says, okay, that's the formula. Every time she has an awareness that she wants to make more money or she wants the next level of success, the brain predicts that the way to do that is to hustle. So even when you try and you hear, you know, all of the well-intended people saying stop hustling for money, and you truly want to stop, your brain is not going to be on board because for your brain, that is risky. Now, let's talk about your brain wants to keep you safe. Your brain has also built a pattern around doing more makes you feel in control. If you are chilling, easy and relaxed, if you're at the beach, your brain is like, this is incredibly um dangerous. Your brain is saying, This is dangerous, we can't we can't afford to be doing this. And so what happens is you create this uh connection in your brain that says, When I'm in control, I am safe. When I'm hustling and working hard, that's the way I create success. These two things, efficiency and safety, your brain is going to go back to to predict your future. So it's going to say, wait a second, let us build an identity around Tasha that says, when Tasha wants success, when Tasha wants more money, then her identity is she's the girl that hustles for it. Because I have 40, 50, 60 years of memory. This is your brain talking, right? 40, 50, 60 years of memory proving that that's how she gets results. And when she is in control of her circumstances, that's when she feels safe. So now you have an identity um infrastructure in your brain built around hustling. You have a nervous system that is constantly in fight or flight. And anything that makes you feel like you're going to lose control, which means trying something new, like trying not to hustle, is going to make your nervous system go into like just overdrive, like, wait a second, no, no, no, no, no. We can't do something new, that's dangerous. And so, even if you're exhausted, even if it's not working, even if you're not even getting the results from hustling, you literally can't stop because your brain is wired and programmed, that that is the only way for your brain. So, this is just neuroscience, right? This is not you consciously wanting ease and you read a book and it's beautiful, you watched a YouTube video. I'm talking about at a brain level. For your brain, hustling equals safety. It is it has built this in at an identity level, at a nervous system level, you're constantly in fight or flight because this is what your brain has uh predicted is the only way that you can succeed. So you don't keep hustling because you need to. Oh, I'm doing this because this is the only way. I genuinely, I mean, and then we have all this cultural narrative that says, yeah, this is the only way. So I genuinely thought this is the only way. But the truth is you keep hustling because your brain has not yet believed it can be safe otherwise. Your brain just doesn't believe it. So if you're truly ready to stop hustling, like you've listened to all these people saying you don't have to, and you're truly ready, here's what's gonna have to happen: the brain is going to have to now believe that not hustling is safe. The brain is going to have to reorganize, re um, you know, when we talk about in neuroscience and the work that you can do in 28 days, is you can create new neuropathways that say, this is now a new path that I'm going down, this is now a new plan, this is now the new way, and your brain will begin to build a whole new prediction model around okay, easy is safe. Um, not you know, not being in control can be okay. Like we don't have to go in a fight or flight because we don't have all the answers, we don't know all the way that this is gonna work. And so when you hear that statement, you know, what got you here won't get you there, I want you to think of it like this the brain that got you here won't get you to the future that you desire. And what I know about the women in my world is that we truly desire a future where we experience wealth with ease. But the brain that got you here is not gonna get you to wealth with ease because the brain that got you here says the only way to create wealth is to hustle, and the brain that got you here says if you try to do it the easy way, that's risky and it's actually not safe, right? So the solution is to train your brain that hustling, hustling is the thing that's not safe. Another way to say it is the way to train your brain is that non-hustling is safe. And how do you do that? Well, you have to stop reinforcing hustle. And hey, listen, I know I know that as much as you want to stop, that's probably the hardest thing to do. Because remember, you have 40, 50, 60 years of a brain that says hustle is a way that you get success. So every time you see yourself wanting to go into hustle, I'm telling you that the way you train your brain is you actually have to stop yourself. The other thing is you have to start to give your brain proof that ease is safe. So I remember that story that I told you. For years, I had been doing launches that literally got to the point where I was ending these launches feeling like I had been hit by a Mac truck. It was just, it was exhausting. And then I would notice that the next time we had on the calendar for the next launch, it would roll around and I would literally map out the exact same plan that I did the last time, which caused me to feel like a Mac truck had hit me. And I was just like going right into doing it again. And one year my birthday came around, actually, right around one of these launches, and my husband had planned a surprise to take me away. And I remember we were driving on I-95 to go on this surprise. I had no idea where we were going, but you know, we're heading to the surprise, and I am angry at him. I am, I am so just like, I am having a panic attack, right? And my husband says, we get to this one exit, and he says, I'm forget it, let's just go home. And he starts, he actually came off the exit and has as as I realized he's really doing this. He is really, we're gonna go home. We're not going on this surprise birthday trip. It was my 50th birthday, no less. And I said, and in that moment, I realized this is the greatest gift that I ever I've ever gotten because I am literally signing myself up for this hustle again, because I was about to do a launch, and I'm so addicted to this hustle that I won't even allow my husband to take me away on a getaway to surprise me. Like that's how addicted I was. That's how much my brain believed. Because what do you think happened? My brain started to say, you're gonna go away for the weekend before your launch. You are going to chill, you're gonna be on vacation, you're getting down. My husband's done this elaborate trip. I'm gonna have to spend time with him. I can't prepare, I can't do all the hard work I usually do. And so my brain is like, failure, failure, failure. This is good, you're gonna fail, you're gonna fail because you're not gonna hustle. And so at that moment, like literally the seconds he took to come off the ramp, right? And and he went, you know, how you come off the ramp and then you go like this to go back. And I said, Stop. Literally, just I saw myself about to do the same old thing. And I just said, just stop, just stop. We're going. Let's just go. So when I when I say things to you like you have to see yourself in the pattern, you have to see yourself going back into the hustle and actually make yourself stop. That was the last launch I did like that, by the way. Make yourself stop. This is what I mean. Actually, that's not true. I tried to do it again a couple months later, and I my brain was so creative. My brain said, well, instead of you know, five days, just do three because that's gonna be easier. But you know what? When you do these launches, a three-day launch versus a five-day launch is the same amount of work. So I I was beat, I thought I was tricking it by saying I'm gonna do three instead of five, and that still didn't work. And here's the thing all of this felt like and look on paper like things were not working out for me. But the truth is, God, universe source, was giving me the gift to say, I don't want to do it like this anymore. And it was hard because I had at this point, right, 50 years from being in school, from doing jobs, from having a career that said that's the only way. So, how do you stop it? You actually have to become smarter than your brain. You you have to reprogram it to predict from money can come easily to me. It can come easily, consistently, and in large amounts. It can come when I rest, it can come when I have fun. I'm going to train my reticular activating system to actually prove to me that I can make$20,000 a month in passive income. One of the things that, you know, I say all the time is I want to create, I want to have a new identity for breakfast. So every morning while I'm brushing my tees or getting ready, I actually use that time to train, retrain my reticular activating system. And I'll say, and I've told my goddesses this, show me how I can make$20,000 a month in passive income. Because that my brain, like, I'm not telling my brain I'm gonna do anything, I'm changing my model, I'm doing nothing. I'm literally just saying, okay, I want you to focus on another way. I want you to focus on a way that's easier. I want you to go find a way that is safe, that is a different way. And it doesn't go into panic, right? My brain, my nervous system doesn't go into panic over that because it's not like I'm like, I'm abandoning ship on all this, and now I'm just gonna, you know, go start this new way of easy and relaxed and just chill and hope for this passive income to come around. No, I actually take the time when I'm calm to just speak to my my brain, speak to my reticular activating system, and just say, this is your job. Just go find me a way to create$20,000 in passive income. Right? So, um, how do you how do you do this? How do you change? First of all, I want to be transparent with you. It's not gonna happen overnight. And anybody that tells you it will is not being honest to with you, right? It's not gonna happen overnight. It's gonna take identity changing, nervous system changing, it's gonna take being intentional about it. And the first thing I want to say is you have to catch yourself in the hustle. You you're only gonna be able to stop it when you see yourself doing it. So stop. Literally see yourself about to do the thing the most complicated way and stop yourself. Choose the lighter option. Choose, ask yourself, can I do this in a simpler way? Can I do this again? I remember one time I had a, you know, I told you I would do these five-day things and they would take like my entire team months and months and months to prepare. And one day I was sitting at the hair salon and I was like, oh, you know what? I would love to do this um masterclass on this thing. And literally I sat there, I wrote the sales page, the emails, the everything. My takes my takes me an hour for my hair to dry. I was done in an hour, put it out was one of the best classes I've ever done in terms of people that signed up, results that I got from it, all of it. And I look at that as wow, it can be easy, but I have to choose it. I have to see myself trying to do it the hard way, stop myself, and then I actually have to choose easy, simple. Keep asking myself, how can it be simpler? And then don't add any more. Because you know, as high performers, we love us some more. We love doing more, we love being responsible for more, we love adding more, right? Oh, it's not perfect till it's got all of these other complicated things all around it. So watch out for that. Okay, hey Diana, Deanna's like this story is so powerful. So I wanna I wanna say this. One of the hardest things about this is when you get to that moment where you realize that you've been hustling, you've been working hard, and you're not receiving the income that's an equivalent for that level of work. And here is one of the other things that I realized. I'm working really hard, but I don't have the capacity to receive the results of this work. If you're in that season, if you're in that season where you're holding more than you should, you're doing more than you should, you feel like you have this incredible level of responsibility for success, more than like it's humanly possible, or more than you should. And you're just it's none of it is causing you to receive the income that at this point you desire and you deserve. Here's what I want you to know: it is not going to change. If this continues, you it's not that you're gonna hit a plateau and it's gonna like you're just gonna hit this plateau and then boom, you have a breakthrough. It's actually going to compound, it's going to get worse. It's gonna get worse and worse and worse, and you're gonna try to fix it by doing more, doing more, doing more, and then you're gonna realize at some point like I'm not receiving. And the reason you're not receiving is not a motivation issue. Obviously, you're it's not a capability issue. Obviously, you're working hard, you've done the things that have worked in the past. It's actually a capacity issue. You literally are full. You're at capacity, you're at capacity in your identity, you're at capacity in your nervous system, like every everything about how you're operating is at max capacity. And even if you keep working harder, if your capacity does not expand to receive more income, you won't receive it, no matter how hard you work. So, tomorrow at 12, for those of you again, you're in the season, you know exactly what I'm talking about. You realize that this is not a logical problem because you're going, I've always been able to create results, I've always worked hard and gotten the results, I've always I'm doing exactly what I've always done and it's not landing, it's not working, then you know the solution isn't strategy, it's not logic, it's something completely different. And what I want you to hear me say, it's a capacity issue. So if you know that you're ready to expand your capacity so that you can receive more, I want to invite you to this uh masterclass that I'm gonna be doing tomorrow at 12. If you type the word capacity, hang on a second, I don't even think I put this in here, but oh here, here I did. Type to word capacity, check your DMs, you'll get a link to register. Again, if it sounds if it resonates and it sounds like something that your your spirit right now is going, that's it, that's it. Come join me. I promise you, in an hour, I'm gonna tell you some stories that are gonna blow your mind and they're not gonna be logical from my own life as well as my clients. And it's one of those things, you know, once the light bulb goes on, once you see it, once you see it and you understand it, a lot of neuroscience around this capacity issue, too. But once you see and understand it, everything shifts, right? So we don't need to hustle for money. We can stop. Your brain just needs a new program, it needs a new operating system. And the way you give it a new program is you have to repeatedly stop yourself when you see yourself in hustle. You have to create a new retic, you have to create a new uh command for your reticular activating system that says, go find me opportunities that will bring me passive income in an easier way. I want to I want to make money while I have fun. I want to make more money while I rest. I want money to just show up with more ease, right? Type the word capacity, get yourself registered. I see some of you typing on IG and hopefully YouTube and Facebook. And hey, listen, if you know beautiful things happen and it doesn't work, if you're on my email list, you're gonna get an email tomorrow morning that will allow you last minute to register.
