What If Your Brain Has You Stuck In A Financial Identity You’ve Outgrown?
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Right now, your brain has already decided how much money you're going to make this year.
It's decided how easy or how hard it's going to be. How much you'll keep. How far you'll go.
And here's what most women don't know: the programme it's running isn't based on who you are today. It's based on who you used to be. Past experiences. Old money stories. Things that happened to you that you may never have connected to money at all.
I call these the hidden money identities. There are six of them. Five are built from past versions of you that your brain never let go of. And one is where we actually want to go.
In this episode I walk through all six, share the story of a client with a multimillion pound business who couldn't afford milk for her kids, and show you exactly why your brain is the reason your income isn't matching your potential.
What we cover:
Why your brain is using an outdated programme to predict your financial future, and what that's costing you right now
The six hidden money identities, what each one looks like, and how to recognise which one your brain is running
Why high-performing women with all the receipts still can't seem to break through to the next level
My own Chapter 11 bankruptcy story and what it taught me about the identity I was carrying
How to find out which identity your brain is operating from, and what to do about it

If you're an ambitious woman who's done everything right, the career, the family, the responsibilities, but still you feel like there's something missing. There's a sense of not quite being fulfilled. You are in the right place. I'm Tasha, serial seven-figure entrepreneur and founder of Dare Wealthy Me, co-founder of the Science of Getting Rich Academy. After years of overworking and proving people-pleasing, I finally discovered the truth. Real wealth, it does not come from hustle. It comes from identity. Now I show women like you how to combine science and spirit to create wealth with ease, joy, and freedom. Because this is your time. Your wealthy era. Welcome to the wealthy me podcast. Do you know how much money your brain has predicted that you will make this year? Do you know how easy your brain has already decided it's going to be? If it's going to be easy or if it's going to be hard? Do you know how much of this money your brain has already decided you will keep? I don't know about you, but I've been thinking, what if my brain is actually using a model, a program to predict my income that is based on who I've been in the past? And actually, I've outgrown that money identity. Like I'm no longer that person, but my brain is still using that program to decide how much money I can make right now, how much of it I can keep, how much it's going to be easy, to what extent is it going to be easy or is it going to be hard? Would that be okay with you if your brand keeps predicting the money you're making right now and the money you're going to make in the future based on past money identities that you have carried? Would that be okay with you? I know for me, it would not be. And so in this video, I'm going to share with you the six hidden money identities that your brand is actually using as a program, and it's using it to decide how much you can advance to your next level financially, how long it's going to take, how much you're going to have to do to get there. And here's the thing of these six identities, five of them are based on outgrown money stories, outgrown money mindset, outgrown money experiences that you've had, but your brain is still holding on to those things and it's still using it to predict your income today. We're going to talk about all six, and we're going to talk about the five. I'm going to share all six with you, but I want you to like hone in on the five that are based on past experiences. And then we're going to talk about the one that we want our brain to actually use as its program going forward. Welcome to the Wealthy Me podcast. I'm your host, Tasha. And every week we gather here as high-performing women and we talk about wealth with ease. We talk about deserving wealth with ease. And we we have conversations that are all geared towards how do I do that? So welcome in everyone watching. You know how we do every Monday morning. In the comments, I want you to type, I deserve wealth with ease. I deserve wealth with ease. Go ahead and create that new neural pathway. This is programming. Yes, it is. And we do it every single week. Now I want to dive into what I have prepared for you today. I want to start with a story. I was thinking about one of my clients who came to me and she was very successful. She was in the UK. She had a multi-million pound, I always want to say dollar, but a month multi-million pound business. And on paper, everything looked incredibly successful. She had high demand for her product, thousands of customers all over the world. She had a solid business partnership and an incredible growth plan. And so you can imagine me falling off of my chair on one of these calls when she says, and right now, if I'm being honest with you, I do not have milk in my refrigerator or bread in my cupboards for my kids. And I was like, wait, what? Plot twist? What just happened? And in that moment, I realized she was coming to me because she was trying to break through to her next level of income. But actually, that wasn't where we needed to start. Because here is what she didn't realize. What was happening in her business, very successful on paper, was the fact that her brain had a program of who she was and the relationship that she was meant to have with money. And that was driving what she was experiencing in her life. So the why was she in that position? I want you to hear me say this. It's a hidden money identity. And I want you to write, type, whatever you're doing, note takers or moneymakers, but I want you to like get yourself to understand this. In the past, I've said your identity equals your income. I want to really get you to get this at a deeper level. When I say your identity, I mean your money identity. Your money identity equals your income, equals your lifestyle. What does that mean? Your money identity is the program that your brain has created. It's created, it's it thinks of you as, let's just say for simplicity, a character in a game. And in this game, your character can only make money in this way. In this game, your character can only go to this level of success. In this game, your character has to fight all these battles or not, right? How easy or how hard it will be for you to make money. And your brain is running a program based on an identity that it has created for you around money and your relationship to money. And it uses this program to predict your future income. It uses it to predict how it's so fascinating to me. It even predicts what you spend your money on. It predicts how much you're going to save. It predicts the financial calamity that is waiting for you down the road. It is predicting everything based on a program. And here's what I want you to know: how do you feel about the fact that the program that it is running is based on the old version of you in relationship to money? And how did it come up with this program in the first place? Okay, let's think about this. Your entire life's experience with money. I've taught in the past about the money traumas. I've taught about, you know, um money mindset and the experiences that we've had with money. I've talked about when you've had financial failures, when someone really hurt you or was out of integrity with you and it was related to money. All of these experiences that we've accumulated over our lifetime is filed in a program in our brain. And in that library, the brain then builds a program that says, okay, based on all of this, this is who you are. This is who you are in relationship to money. Now, let's go a little bit further. The fact that these identities are hidden to you, in other words, you're not aware that your brain has crafted this identity. So, you know, the way you walk around and you say, My name is so and so. My name is Tasha. You know that. You're very aware. I live at this address. You're very aware. I live in Florida. I'm very aware of that. I know that. But with these hidden money identities, you're not actually conscious of them and they're running the show. And I know the old saying, what you don't know won't hurt you. But in this case, what you don't know, what you aren't aware of, what you aren't conscious of is hurting you. Especially if you're a high-performing woman who you realize you're in this phase right now where financially you're not breaking through to the next level, you have all of the resume, the receipts, the all the things that prove you're capable of making significantly more than you are right now. Or maybe money is good, but you're exhausted. Maybe you're like, there is more for me than this. It is different than what it looks like right now. But with all of your experience, all of your knowledge, all of your wisdom, you just can't seem to crack the code. And that part for a high-performing woman is torture because you can't figure out what's going on. This doesn't make sense on paper. I shouldn't be here. It shouldn't be this hard. I should be making more, whatever it looks like for you, and you can't consciously make sense of it because it's an unconscious cause. It's not conscious to you. That's why I named it the hidden money identity. Now there are six of them, and I'm gonna run through all six, but remember the first five are the ones that are causing you to be in the experiences that you are right now, especially if it doesn't feel like this is where you should be. The sixth one is the program we actually want to create for our brains. So, number one, and remember, I've served thousands of women, and I have, after years of looking at all the stories, I've been able to bring it down to okay, these are the six categories that I can see from the outside that their brands have them operating in. So for each of us, it's one of these, okay? The first one is hustler. This is the program your brain has that says, for you, you have to work. You have to work really hard for your money, girl. That's who you are. You are the girl that hustles for money. And so, no matter what, no matter how easy the opportunities are, no matter how easy it can be, it could literally fall in your lap. It is, you are going to find a way to work hard to make the money. I am a recovering hustler identity. I'm very aware this is the program my brain runs. I know about my childhood, I know about growing up and all the things that caused my brain to build this model. I'm very now aware of it. And so I can see myself, I will literally be working on a project, I will have the easiest path to it, and I see myself building it out to work hard, to make it as complicated, as detailed, as perfect. Why? Because my brain says, girl, you hustle for your money. And I have to, I have to, first of all, I have to know that that's what's going on so that I can do something different. And that's what I want to get you all to is to know the identity that your brain has created for you. And then there's the other one, which is survivor mode. That client that I told you about, this is the identity that her brain had for her. This is where women say, I'm asset rich, cash poor. I know how to make money. I know I'm smart, I'm brilliant, I'm all the things. I have a lot of money on paper, I have a great business, I have all of this. But when I go to my bank account, it doesn't match. It doesn't correlate. And we can't make sense of it. Well, your brand has you in the identity of survivor. And so it is going to keep you barely making enough. Now think about that. Somebody who has a multi-million dollar business, no milk in the fridge. That's a really powerful identity uh prediction model running that if it were me, I would want to solve ASAP. So we've got hustler, survivor. The next one is responsibility carrier. This is where your brain has associated a lot of money with a lot of responsibility. Or the reverse. You've had to be the one that's so responsible for everybody financially that your brain is now actually resentful and saying, Well, if you make more money, you're just gonna have to be responsible for more. Or you know what? You've been the one carrying all of this financially. And I just I'm I'm exhausted from it. I don't want to deal with it anymore. And so it actually will block opportunities for more money to come your way because of the responsibility, resentment that you carry. The other one is play small protector. These are the women that I see with this identity, they have had some massive trauma growing up where they have had to play small or hide or shrink to stay safe. And so that shows up with money. Where now they have businesses and they may have a brilliant business, an amazing and a solid business plan, but they will not become visible, they will not show up, they will not see it through, they will not bring it to the light of day because the brain is saying, Well, if you go for that next level financially, you're gonna have to be visible, and that's not safe. And so the brain shuts that down, right? So that's play small protector. And then the other one is the undeserving achiever. This is the woman whose brain has created an identity that says, you want to go to the next level financially, but that kind of money is not for you. That's not for you. You're not smart enough, good enough. This is not a brilliant enough, unique enough idea. What are you thinking? That's just not for you, that's for other people. And the last one, the one we want to get to, is where our brain operates from money multiplier identity. I call this identity the wealthy me. Now we can only get to having our brains operate from that place. And who wouldn't want their brains operating from money multiplier, right? We can only get there though if we know the way the brain is coding right now and using that model to predict our financial reality. If you don't know, you can't change it. So, step number one, what is the identity that my brain is running? What's the model that it's running? And how is that showing up in my business, in my revenue cycles? And so I want you to, or I am encouraging you, type the word identity. Let me see if I can get to that on here. Type the word identity in the comments, and you should get a link right to the hidden wealth identity assessment. Go ahead and take the assessment. It's gonna tell you three things. First, it's gonna name which one of these six you are in right now, how it's showing up, playing out in your finances, in your business, in your goals. And then it's gonna give you some next steps. What are the things that you can do to start to resolve that? Okay, so type the word identity. You should get a message in your DMs. Also, if none of that works for you, I know sometimes it doesn't work. You can go to TashaCen.com forward slash identity. TashaCen.com. My name, TashaCen.com forward slash identity and the assessment with I am so sorry. Pause. Let me say that again. Tashachen.com forward slash quiz. Tashachen.com forward slash quiz. That should get you to the assessment. All right, so you can either type the word identity or go directly to Tashachen.com forward slash quiz. Now, once you take the assessment, you know I truly believe I'm I'm a woman who believes in my own wisdom. Once I can see it, I can change it. When I don't know what's happening, I have no, it has power over me instead of me having power over it. And the reason I wanted to have this conversation is I believe as high-performing women, I would never give my finances to the version of me that just came out of chapter 11 bankruptcy, right? Imagine if I I literally just filed chapter 11, I'm now full of shame and guilt and feeling like I want to hide and shrink. And I give that version of me like a seven-figure business, and I say, okay, here, take this to eight figures. You know what she's gonna do? Jack it up because at that moment in time, that identity and all the trauma and all the shame and all the I don't know what to do. I literally watch what happened. I can tell you what would happen because it did. When I came out of chapter 11 bankruptcy, and I started building another business and money started flowing, I wouldn't take any money, I wouldn't even pay myself. I kept saying, I'm not good with money. I wouldn't even handle the money. Right? And so what you don't realize is that there's an old version of you that is right now deciding how much money you can make next, how easy or how hard it's gonna be, how much you're gonna keep. And I don't, I wouldn't want that for myself, and I don't think you would want that for you. So let us sort that out, leave that old identity behind, and step forward to the version of us that we want our brains to be operating from and therefore creating the next level of financial success for us. All right, so type the word identity, and I have another gift for you. Next Tuesday, July 21st, I'm gonna have a session where I want to talk about something very specific that has been showing up in my conversations with women over the last three months. Women have been saying, Tasha, I'm just in this mid-wise season of life, right? We're in our 50s and 60s, and all of a sudden, my confidence has taken a hit. I'm not charging what I need to charge. My revenue modeling is like reflecting the worth that I have right now, which is in the tanks all of a sudden. The economy has taken its turn and all the things that's happening out there, and all of a sudden, I'm trying to respond from what I charge to that. And it's just a mess. This entire like, what should I be charging? How do I feel confident about that? And I want to show you how to solve that through the lens of your brain has actually predicted how you're going to walk through the season and what's going to happen next. And I want to show you first, I want to show you what's happening, and then I want to show you how to solve it. So save the date July 21st at 12 Eastern. Once you take the assessment, you'll get all the details for that. And I will see you there. Have an amazing Monday. I'll see you next week. Bye everyone.
