Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. Top of the morning, happy Thursday. Welcome back to another episode of Unplugged with Pam Breakfast Club Edition, brought to you by Chosen Global, where we don't just talk about growth, we walk in it. Happy Thursday. And if you're joining us for the first time, welcome up, welcome. If you're joining us, once again, welcome home. I remember when I first embarked upon entrepreneurship over 13 years ago, I was looking forward to these type of morning mentorship calls. Whether it was me plugging in through a podcast like you're doing today, whether it was me just listening to something motivational, how you start your day sets the tone for your day. So kudos to each and every single one of you guys. Starting your day off with some fire this morning, with some greatness. And man, I'm so excited, like I am every Thursday, to chop it up with you guys because I want to talk to you about something that sounds simple, but it's actually one of the biggest reasons people get stuck in life. It's not because they failed, it's not because they lost, it's not even because they quit, it's not because they gave up, but because they finally won. And speaking about champions, shout out to the New York Knicks ending a 53-year drought. Absolutely amazing. I just got back from New York City. Uh, celebrating with family and friends was absolutely amazing. And man, let me tell you, the Knicks just won their first NBA championship in over 50 years. And I want you to think about that for a second because I think it's significant. Think about the decades of disappointment, think about the decades of criticism, think about the decades of almost, think about the decades of waiting, and now they finally have their trophy. I'm a little sick, I'm not gonna be at the parade today, but shout out to everybody that is celebrating today. And here's one of the has as we kick off with a question for you to ponder upon this morning. What do you finally get? What do you finally do after the thing that you've been praying for? After receiving the thing that you've been praying for, after getting finally what you've been praying for? What is it that you do after? What do you do after the breakthrough? What do you do after the promotion? What do you do after the business starts working? What do you do when you start building momentum? What do you do after the marriage? What do you do after the healing? What do you do after God opens the doors that you have been asking Him to open? Because the truth is the breakthrough isn't the finish line. Quite honestly, it's the starting line. And if you are taking notes, because you know note takers are history makers and you're writing down anything, the title for today is You Got the Win Now What? And I'm gonna give you guys quickly 10 ways to not waste the win. 10 ways to not waste the win. And let me know where you guys are dialing in from as we get this party started. Awesome, awesome. I see you guys. Welcome, Texas, welcome North Carolina, welcome, Jersey, welcome, Florida, shout out to Miami, shout out to Tampa, welcome ATL, Chicago, Hawaii. Welcome, all right. So 10 ways not to waste the win. I believe that the dangerous side of success happens because most people spend years upon years upon years preparing for the blessing. Very few people prepare for the responsibility that comes with it. I've seen it because I've done it, right? We pray for influence, but influence comes with pressure. We pray for money, but money comes with stewardship. We pray for opportunities, but opportunities come with accountability. We pray for visibility, but visibility, let's be honest, it comes with scrutiny. We pray for all of these things, and the blessing and the burden arrive together. Success, therefore, is not ownership, success is stewardship. I always say, you know, who he who can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much because I believe that God is not just concerned about getting you the blessing, He's watching you what you'll do once you get it. So, 10 ways not to waste the win. Number one, stay humble. One of the fastest ways to lose a blessing is to believe that you were the one that created it alone. Y'all always hear me give glory to God Almighty. You don't gotta believe what I believe in, but that's what I believe in, right? And it never served me wrong, it's never forsaken me. I know who has authorized my victory. And one of the really things is that I always pay homage. I'm never gonna be the person that's gonna be like, oh, self-made, no, it's God made. I built it from the mud now. Don't get it twisted. We building it from the ground up, single, ain't no sugar daddy, ain't no hands outs, ain't no, ain't no trust funds, baby, over here, right? But it's knowing that someone prayed for you. Humility doesn't mean that you're thinking of yourself less, it's recognizing that your success was never accomplished by yourself. Yes, it was God's grace, yes, it was God's favor. Yes, you had to do with it because faith without works is dead, but someone believed in you, someone prayed for you. I know my mama's prayers are still carrying me to this day. My grandparents' prayers are still carrying me to this day. My uncle's prayers are still carrying me through this day. Someone opened the door for you, but most importantly, God made a way. The moment that you think you've arrived, growth starts. Growth stops. I'm sorry. And I think that it's important for us not only to stay grateful, but stay coachable, stay teachable, stay humble. I've seen way too many people. I've always I remember my mentor telling me this, you know, over a decade ago do not let the losses get to your heart, and do not let the wins get to your head, you know, unless unless you're a Knicks fan, because we're gonna let this wind get to our head for a very long time. But absolutely incredible, but stay humble, it's important because the moment that you forget where you came from, I believe that you are on your way back. And if you are the person that thinks that you did it all on your own, and it's important to yes, acknowledge your strength, acknowledge your persistence and your perseverance and your resilience and everything that you do, but it's even more important that you recognize that you didn't do it alone. God has been sustaining you through it all. Number two, keep the habits that got you there. Keep the habits that got you there. So, how you don't waste the win. Yes, number one, you stay humble. Number two, you keep the habits that got you there. Many people sabotage their own success. I love, you know, I have I help my clients with their brand strategy and their business techniques, and a lot of it sometimes it's either scaling their business offline or doing things with strategy online to grow their business. It's amazing. Clients are seeing, you know, over 80% of sales come from their social media marketing, and it's incredible, right? And I love that. Um, with visibility, I help with PR and branding because branding is who you are, and marketing is how you tell that story. However, I always love it when they start something and they're like, oh, I got this idea, and I'm gonna do this and I'm gonna do that, and I'm gonna they're on fire. And I'm like, Yes, I love it. I said, that's great, and that is your macro, but I want you to tell me what the little things, the little things, the little things, just the tiny, the tiny things that you could do to keep that because a lot of times, and I know this for myself, I was like, man, why am I not moving the needle? Why am I not moving the needle? I'm not moving the needle, I wasn't moving the needle in I wasn't growing in in the areas that I knew that I wanted to grow in. And I was like, but Pam, what is it exactly that you're doing? Well, what happened was that I kept focusing on this macro goal, I kept focusing on the big, big, big, big, big, big, big, big goal instead of the little micro goals, the little tiny habits that you could do for the next two to three weeks that are going to put a dent in that macro goal that are actually going to make a difference. Because a lot of times, momentum, what we what we don't realize sometimes is that momentum comes from the tiny, small wins, right? It's like the compounded interest. So most people sabotage their own success not intentionally, but gradually, right? Because they stop doing the things that got them there, whether that's reading, whether that's prospecting, whether that's showing up, whether that's praying, whether that's working out, they stop investing in themselves, they stop doing the very things that was the what created their breakthrough. So success, it doesn't need to, it doesn't erase, right? Just because you achieve something, success doesn't erase the need for discipline, it requires even more of it. So, what do I mean by that? Just never abandon the habits that built the blessing. I think it's important for you never to abandon the habits that built the blessing. That is one of my daily things that I say every single day. Why? Because I never want the losses to get to my heart or the wins to get to my head. And I understand that as hard as it took me to work to get something, it's as easy as I can lose it. So it's important that you do not stop doing the things that got you there. Make sure I always tell my clients, my mentees, listen, comparmentalize your life in the things that happen, whether it's in the things that matter, whether it's a lifescale, whether you're taking care of your life, of your career, of your business, of your professional. I personally like to comparmentalize my life in the six Fs, right? Whether it's your faith, your um, your faith, your fitness, your feelings, your family, your fortune, your fun, making sure that you are making daily deposits in the things that matter because I believe that if you can't take care of yourself, you can't take care of anything or anyone else. So it's important that you stay consistent, that yes, you stay humble, but that you keep the habits that actually got you there. Success loves reps. Success loves reps. Number three, do not let celebration become complacency, celebrate as you should. Listen, y'all didn't see me on social media. I was taking it all in, I was celebrating with my family, my friends. Like, celebrate, you should celebrate. The Knicks should celebrate, but don't build a house there. Why do I mean? Because victories deserve to be celebrated, but don't just build a house there. And winners, what I love about winning is that we celebrate briefly, then we get right back to work. One of the greatest dangers after a breakthrough is comfort. Because comfort has buried more dreams than failure ever has. I remember when I first read a book called The Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eckert 13 years ago. And my mentor and I were discussing it, and was like, telling me, you know, it's my millionaire mentor. So I paid attention because he was making it in a month, what I made in a year, right? So I was like, okay, well, he's like, you know, your comfort zone is your broke zone. He's like, you don't, if you don't go, I was like, well, I don't like doing this. And I remember specifically saying this, right? And I was like, well, I don't like doing that. And I remember his specific answer, and we were talking about uh it was like a tedious task, right? And I'm just again, I'm I am who I am. I've just been me continuously evolving, becoming the best version of me. But this is like very, very unpersonally developed, unspiritually developed. Pam. So I was like, Well, I don't like to do that. He's like, Well, great. So you must love your mediocre life. You must you must love the average life that you live. I was like, Yeah, well, I'm great, I'm successful. So he said, Yeah, you're successful compared to who you're comparing yourself to. And I was like, I was appalled. So I was like, No, he didn't, no, he didn't. Why? Because I'm successful thinking like, well, none of my friends are making six figures, I'm popping, blah, blah, blah. I'm living on a condo on the beach, this and this and that. But the reality was I was comfortable. I was comfortable. So when you hear the phrase, comfort has buried more dreams than failure ever has, is because the enemy of your next level is often your last success. You can't win today's championships with yesterday's touchdowns. So it's important for you to celebrate and take in all of the victory, all of the hard work, right? Take your time to celebrate. Celebrate with your family, but don't build a house there. Number four, steward before you scale. Steward before you scale. Somebody recently told me this because I was like, Yeah, you know, I'm in that like I got in that mood. Like, I want to shop for a new car. And two people close to me in my life told me the same exact thing. They were like, Well, are you treating the car that you have right now with all of the love? Are you are you taking care of it? Are you treating it like your dream car? Are you treating it like your Lambo? Are you treating it like the the next best thing, like your dream? And I was like, I guess not, right? It's like funny because it's like one was my life coach, another one was my personal trainer. They both told me the same things, and then my pastor confirmed it. The audacity of God was like confirming things for me, right? And three, that Sunday in church is that the same thing. Steward, you have to be a good steward of anything, steward before you scale. We often find ourselves in that space that we're like, man, I just want more, I want more money, I want more influence, I want more followers, I want more success, I want more opportunities. But before asking God for more, it's important to ask ourselves: have I been managing, have I been managing what he has already given me? Or have I even managed it? Great. Have I been a good steward of it? Because I believe if you're not stewarding a thousand dollars well, why would he trust you with a hundred thousand? If you're not stewarding ten people well, why would he trust you with ten thousand? If you're not stewarding, if you're not stewarding, and I even remind myself of this, if I'm not stewarding my singleness era correctly, why would he bless me in my marriage? So there's a lot of things that where you're like, okay, if I'm not a good steward, why would this happen? When you realize that it's about you planting the seeds, but you have to be a good steward and you're going to always reap what it is that you sow, everything changes because I believe more than anything that growth without steward growth without stewardship becomes destruction, but God often measures capacity before he releases increase. God often measures capacity before he releases increase. So if growth without stewardship is destruction, what are the areas right now that you're like, I could be a better steward? Where what is it exactly that that looks like for me? Where can you be a better steward? Number five, remember why you started. Man, I love telling my people all the time: listen, when you have a strong enough why, the how is none of your business, the how does not matter, and it is true because finding is for the seekers. If you are the person that you're in that space that you want it and you're working for it and you're working on yourself, oh, let me tell you, honey, God never lets hard work go unnoticed. But it's important for you to always remember that your why, a strong enough why, will outperform any how. The how is none of your business because purpose protects you from distractions, and when your purpose is clear, your decisions become easier, when your purpose is unclear, everything becomes tempting. When you understand that the mission must always be bigger than the applause, than the title, then the recognition, then the trophy, then the paycheck? When you when you recognize that, everything shifts. The mission is always bigger. And when you ask yourself these things, you're like, why did I start? Who am I called to serve? What what is that picture for my life? What what does that look like? What assignment has God given to me? What gifts has He given to me that quite frankly, nobody else seems to have? What is the thing that has set you apart? Because when you get into that space and you're like, Man, I I know what I'm supposed to do. Oh, it's it's an unapologetically beautiful, blessed feeling to be there, and you're not caring about who doing it, why they're doing it, this and that one, because you're like confidence and godfulness, I like I love to call it, is knowing that you're not better than nobody else, but ain't nobody else better than you are what you do and who you are because of who you are. So I know that, right? And that is something that is like it it keeps you on point like an arrow. Let people talk, let them, let them. That is my favorite thing, and it's easy because when you know why you started something, you don't let anybody rob your peace, especially when you're going through things on your journey, and you just become so unapologetically of that that relentlessness that you build, that perseverance, that character, that resilience that you give zero about what anybody gotta say. Well, anybody man, it is a beautiful thing. It's a beautiful thing. Here's the next one. Number six turn success into service. The blessing was never supposed to stop with you. Success that only benefits you isn't success, it's actually self-interest. Real success creates real impact. So ask yourself who benefits because I won? My family, my community, my team, my church, the next generation. Am I living for legacy? The next generation of leaders. It's important that we understand this as all of the greatest leaders have understood. The win isn't about them, the win is about what becomes possible because we won. Protect your mindset. Protect your mindset. Success attracts new challenges. You always hear me say your mindset is where your mind sits. If something is not letting you sit there, don't let it, don't let it let you sit there. If something is not letting you grow, don't let it sit there, right? Your mindset is where your mind sits. Why? Because it's equally as important that you understand that with success attracting you challenges, there's gonna be more opinions, there's gonna be more criticisms, there's gonna be more expectations. Oh, yes, more pressure. Not everyone will celebrate your success. Some people liked you better when you were struggling because they could identify themselves more with your struggles, and they stopped growing and they didn't keep growing with you. So they can't relate to your wins, they can't relate to your hunger, they can't relate to your drive, they can't relate to your ambition, they can't relate to your lapse of daisiness, right? They can't relate to the mission or the purpose that God has you on. So you gotta understand that. Some people will misunderstand your growth, some people will protect or project, right? More than anything, is projecting their fears onto your future. So protect your peace, protect your focus, protect your joy, protect your calling. Not every opinion deserves access to your mind. Number eight, keep learning. The version of you that got you here may not be the same version that's required for the next level. I've learned that. Is that the next version of you deserves another level? The next level of you, the next level you're trying to get to requires a next version of you. Winners, something that I've learned is that we remain students. We do. The best leaders are your lifelong learners. Every room has something to teach you, every experience has something to teach you. Every setback has something to teach you. The day that you stop learning, you stop growing, and you're just dying. My friends and I always refer to the uh term of Kaizen, right? Or kanai or constant and never-ending improvement. Because if you're not a person, and it's funny because I so many people are like, oh man, you're doing this and you're doing that, and you know, this is, and I'm just like, yeah, because it's an ecosystem that I'm creating, and I don't need anybody to understand. And in fact, I'm okay with people not understanding anything because it's not for them to understand, it's for me and for God to understand, and that's okay. But when you get to this point that you're like you're just about growing, you're gonna become so um unapologetic about it, about who you are, because of whose you are, but you also come so protective of your peace, you also are so intentional of your actions, of the spaces that you are in, of the spaces that you choose to surround yourself in because you understand that all of those things matter, all of those things are contributing to your growth. So, all of those things are contributing you to becoming the best version of you. So you have to keep learning, you have to keep growing, you have to keep reaching. Number nine, build legacy, not moments. Man, a championship is a moment, legacy is a lifetime. One of the most beautiful things that I um a few things, right? That we that we witnessed, you know, during this championship. Uh, you saw the legacy, right? And everybody saw this heartfelt picture of Jalen Brunson and his dad hugging because man, you're you're talking about decades ago playing and being able to see this come to fruition. And then you see the other picture of the young man at Down, I believe is his name, where he lost his mom to cancer, you know, during COVID, and so many family members, and there was like a beautiful interview of her just picking up her son, and the legacy wasn't only basketball, the legacy was winning. The legacy is love, the legacy was unity, the legacy was impact, the legacy was camaraderie, the legacy was instilling that belief in her son, the legacy was instilling that teamwork in his son. The legacy that you're seeing is not just moments, a championship may be a moment, but a legacy is a lifetime. Anybody can have a great season, but few can have a great life. The question isn't what can I accomplish? The question is what can I build that is actually going to outlive me? Because legacy is found in people you've mentored, in the lives that you've impacted, in the values that you've molded, in the seeds that you've planted. Because trophies collect dust. I gotta dust a lot of these trophies behind me all the time, right? Legacy and impact last forever. Number 10, use the win as proof, not permission to quit. The win is proof that God is faithful, proof that perseverance works, proof that discipline matters, proof that your prayers weren't wasted, proof that your tears weren't wasted, but it's not permission to stop, it's a confirmation to continue. It's the breakthrough was never the destination, it was the invitation. The assignment now gets bigger after the blessing, not smaller, not smaller. So if you don't remember anything else today, right? And I'm gonna go over these because somebody's like, can you go over them? So you got the win now. What? 10 ways to not waste the win. Number one, stay humble, don't let the wins get to your head, don't let the losses get to your heart. Number two, keep the habits that got you there. Tiny success is about the tiny things that you can do. Compartmentalize your goals, your tiny mic, your tiny micro goals that can build momentum. Number three, do not let celebration become complacency. Number four, steward before you scale. Number five, remember why you started. Number six, turn success into service. Number seven, protect your mindset. Your mindset is where your mind sits. It's not letting you grow, it's not letting you get near your goals. Do not let it sit there. Keep learning. Life is about constant and never-ending improvement. Number nine, build legacy and not moments. Number 10, use the win as proof, not permission to quit. And as we wrap up, this is one of my favorite frameworks that I utilize with my students. And I'm just gonna give you guys some free game. It's my win framework. So if you're ready to win, type WIN in the chat. Maybe you're the person watching the replay, listening to this, no worries. Super, super simple. You guys know I love acronyms. And if you don't, if you're new here, ha ha the W, walk in gratitude. One of my friends and business partners, Nick, is probably watching this. Like, he hates my acronyms, but he loves them because they teach and you get to remember them. Number one, walk in gratitude. Win framework, walk in gratitude. Never ever forget where God brought you from. Never forget who helped you along the way. Grateful people, we stay grounded. So walk in gratitude. Number I, uh, letter I invest in your growth. Invest in your growth. Keep learning, keep stretching, keep becoming. Never stop developing the person God created you to be. comes with a new responsibility, every blessing comes with a bigger opportunity to serve, and every win comes with a next assignment. So win, walk in gratitude, invest in your growth, next assignment. Why do I say that? When you're stepping into this next season, when you're stepping into this next assignment, I'm mentoring people every single day. And I see the fear holding them back more than anything. Fear means nothing more than false evidence appearing real. It could tell you forget everything and run, or could tell you face everything and rise. Why do you see so many people that they're successful in this and they're successful in that, and they're successful here? But then when it comes to doing something different, when it comes to building their dream, when it comes to letting that burning desire that God put inside of them, that they just want to let it out. What what stops them? What stops them is the complacency, right? It's not only the complacency, but what stops them is the fear. And when you get to this point that you're letting the fear just paralyze you because you want to be comfortable, you what should scare you the most is not to win, it's to stay in this era, in this space of the unknown, of the what if, of the what if. How you do anything is how you do everything. If you want to learn anything new, if you are the person that's like, I'm ready to win, I'm ready to take it to the next level. You need coaching, you need mentorship, you need accountability. Commitment always lasts longer in the context of the right community. I see so many people start something, stop it, start something, stop it. And they live their lives from the next, from the next activity to the next activity because they have zero purpose or mission in the day that they're living. That is a very sad place to be in. So when you look in the mirror and you know that you're like, you know what? I know that I am made to win. Well, if you've already been winning, don't waste the win using the 10 ways that we spoke about. But if you're the person that's like, I'm ready for this next win, use the win framework. DM me the word coach. Let's talk. Maybe you need some strategy. A lot of the times, people don't need people do need strategy, but what they really need is mindset. I can give people opportunity all day long. But if they don't know that they are worthy of that of that opportunity, if they don't know that they're worthy of the success, it's gonna hold them back each and every single time. So my question to you is if you have been winning, what are you going to do to not waste the win? And if you haven't, or you want to win at a higher level because you know there's another level, DM me the word coach or DM me the word win. As always, it is an honor, pleasure, and privilege to serve you guys. Uh, drop it in the comments. Let me know what y'all are what y'all are feeling about today's convo. The Knicks waited over 50 years for a championship. The trophy was not the end of the story, it is a beginning of a new chapter, of a new era, and the same is true for us. Maybe your win is a business, maybe it's your healing, maybe it's your family, maybe it's your faith, maybe it's you surviving a season that thought would break you. Whatever your win is, maybe your win is not caring about what people think or what they say about you. Oh, it's a good place to be at. Whatever your win is, don't waste it. Don't let the blessing make you complacent, don't let the victory make you forget your purpose, and don't let the breakthrough make you comfortable because what God gives you is not just for you, it's for every single life you're called to impact next. So you got the win. Now what? Walk in gratitude, invest in your growth, step into your next assignment. As always, keep growing, keep believing, keep showing up. Much love to you guys. Always remember your greatest impact may still be ahead of you. Blessings on blessings, and welcome to your winning season. Let's get it. Thank you for the comments. Love y'all.
