What up, what up, what up, what up? It's your host, Big Slick, and welcome to Talk Your Shit. Check it out. We got another great episode for you today. We're gonna jump right into it. But first, I want to give a shout out to all the listeners. Whether you at work, at home, in your car, or my truck drivers on the road, I appreciate you tuning in. Yo, today's show is about keeping up with the Joneses. And if nobody never heard that term before, it basically means you trying to keep up with somebody else that got a lot of money, and you don't really got that much money. You basically trying to ball on a budget. But let's jump right into it. So check this out. This is what I've never understood. Why people will see somebody, let's say, let's say somebody just got a new car. You'll see somebody with this new car, and you're like, you want to keep up with them. You know you can't afford this new car. But you go out and get the same car you saw this other person got. Now, guess what? You can't afford it. So now that new car you got becomes your mobile home. You idiot. Now you're living in your whip. Come on, man. We we need to stop this. This is the thing here. First of all, stay in your own lane. All right? Everybody levels up at different times. Just because this person has it now don't mean you can't get it later. But don't jump out the window if you can't afford it, man. You know what I'm saying? Somebody got a big crib. You want to run out and get a big house. You can't afford the house. Why are you trying to run out and get a big house and you can't even pay for it? It makes no sense. Stop doing it. And you know, a lot of this stuff going on today, people will be on the internet. And the thing is, is that everybody sees something on the internet and really think it's the truth. Man, half of the shit you're seeing on the internet is fake, bro. I'm sorry to tell you. I don't get it. You think because somebody flashing a car or something is theirs. A car can be a rental. It could be somebody else's car. Like, you see a house, this motherfucker could be at an Airbnb for all you know. You don't even know what's going on. But people so quick to believe what they see with no receipts at all. Everybody talk about where the receipts are. But where are the receipts? If you're just looking at the internet, you ain't based it on no facts or nothing. Everybody's just taking what they see like it's real or something. Come on, man. It don't work that way, man. Stay in your lane. Everybody had their chance to do what they need to do, ball out and level up. But just because the next person doing it, that don't mean you need to do it at that point. And the Joneses, the people you're trying to keep up with ain't even paying attention to you. Like, why are you trying to keep up with them? And if they are paying attention to you, this is what they're doing. On the low, they laughing at your ass because they know you can't afford this shit. So they really fucking with you. These are not your people if you're trying to keep up with them. Because if they was your people, they'd tell you, yo, chill. You don't need to get that right now. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, come on, what are you doing? You bugging out. Now you at the crib and you don't got no food because you're trying to keep up with somebody. You buying expensive clothes and belts and all this craziness for no reason. Stay in your lane. Trust your own process. Everybody trying to be something they not. Be yourself. What happened to being yourself? Everybody wants to be like the next person or be like this person or be like this star or whoever. You know, half of these people you be seeing on TV that's entertainment, these dudes don't really be having no bread, man. They don't. The label will make them look like they got some money, but they don't got no money. They got show money. That's all they got. They acting like they got it. They show you and put it in your face. But these dudes, this is the same way, man. They got to hustle and grind like everybody else. But you'll see it and think that that's what you supposed to be doing, where you supposed to be at, but you don't know what's going on behind the scenes, man. So stop being so quick to mimic somebody else that you don't know what's going on. Stop it. Do your own thing. Stop trying to keep up with the Joneses. It's not gonna work. It's gonna have your ass somewhere broke out on the street, living in that new whip you just bought that you can't afford. Stop doing it, man. Stay in your own lane. When it's time for you to switch lanes and level up, don't worry. You will. But the internet, stop looking at the internet like you're crazy and thinking everything real, man. This is entertainment. It's entertainment. You know what I'm saying? People taking it too personal, like, oh yeah, I need to get this or I need to do that, because they're doing that. Stop playing, man. Half of the stuff, they're getting it and giving it back. These should be loners, man. Half of the jewelry you be seeing these guys wearing, it be loners. They give it back. The jewelers and let them wear it for marketing purposes. They return that shit, man. I ain't gonna say all of them do that, but a lot of people, that's what they do, man. You see them on a red carpet with the clothes on, come on, man. That's marketing. They give them them shits. Half of the time they give them back, they be loners. The jewelry be loners. Come on, stop going crazy, people. Stay in your lane. Stop trying to keep up with the Joneses. It's not gonna work, man. Come on, let's be serious here. You know what I mean? Again, this is Big Slick. I'm just here talking my shit because that's what I do, and it's my show. And if you want to be a part of this show, just write into the Let's Talk About It letter.
