The loudest voice in your life shouldn’t be strangers online. In this episode of Talk Ya Sh!t , Big Slick breaks down why chasing likes, comments, and outside approval quietly drains your confidence—and how to shut that cycle down for good.
We expose the validation trap: how social media feedback hijacks your mood, clouds your judgment, and pulls you away from your own standards. This isn’t motivation for the timeline—it’s a practical reset for anyone tired of letting opinions shape their decisions.
You’ll learn the mirror test, a simple confidence filter that rebuilds self-trust from the inside out. We also draw a hard line between real feedback and background noise—whose opinions actually matter (partners, kids, close family) and whose don’t (comment sections, strangers, chronic critics).
Big Slick keeps it real about thick skin vs. cold hearts, how to stop internalizing shade, and why self-respect beats public approval every time. If you’ve been feeling emotionally pulled by outside opinions, this episode gives you clear rules to protect your peace, move with purpose, and trust yourself again.
Tap play, reclaim your mindset, and stop letting strangers rent space in your head.

SPEAKER_00What up, what up, what up, what up, what up? Welcome to Talk Your Shit. And I'm your boy, Big Slick. As always, we got another great episode for you today. But first, I want to give a shout out to all my listeners. Whether you at home, at work, in your car, all the truck drivers on the road, I appreciate you tuning in. Yo, check this out. Again, I don't got no letter today. I'm just talking my shit because that's what I do, man. Listen, I got a question for everybody out there. Do you really care what people think about you? This is a real question, man. I think a lot of people struggle with this. Me personally, I don't give a fuck what somebody thinks about me. But now, man, it's a lot of people that really care about what people really think about them. And I just don't understand why you would care about what somebody thinks about you, especially if this person don't even care about you, right? So you got random people feeling a certain way about you, and that got you feeling a certain way. Let's see, let's look at this. Let's tap into social media. You got people posting shit, right? So they post and they don't like your pick, or they leave a comment, and you feeling a way about that because they don't like you. Who gives a you would never meet these people, you'll never see these people. So why are you concerned about it? I don't get it, I don't understand why so so many people are so sensitive now about what other people think. It's crazy, and a lot of people need to stop that because it'll drive you crazy out here if you're so concerned about what somebody else thinks about you. What you need to really be concerned about is what you think about yourself. How do you feel about you when you wake up and look in the mirror? How you feel about what's looking back at you? That's what you need to be concerned about. You supposed to be waking up looking in the mirror, like, oh yes, I'm the shit, and keep it moving. That's what you're supposed to be doing, you know. I'm saying so. I think a lot of people got to start paying attention to themselves and stop paying attention to what's around them and what people is saying around them because a lot of people around you they're talking bullshit, they don't care about you anyway. And then people, like I said, that's on social media on the internet, they don't even know you. So why you even care what they what they're talking about, you know what I'm saying? Now, what you're supposed to be concerned about, or who you know, is your loved ones, right? So your wife or you know, whatever your boyfriend or your kids, that's the people you know that you should be you you should be concerned about, or or what they say, or you know, stuff like that, because they're coming. That's that's only if they coming from a place of love. Now, if they ain't coming from a place of love, fuck them too, keep it moving. It is what it is. But if you somebody that's coming from a place of love is talking to you, then you should be concerned on how they feel about you, you know. I'm saying you you got you know, you with your lifelong companion, whatever. You should be concerned about what they how they feel about you, but everybody else, who gives a who gives a fuck about the person down the block, how they feel about you? Who cares? Who cares about the person on the job, how they feel about you? Who gives a people stop being concerned about people that you shouldn't be concerned about? Just leave it alone, you know. I mean, stop being so sensitive. I think we just in a sensitive time to where everybody, you know, you say one thing to somebody and they like, oh, that person don't like me. What did I do? Man, all this old punk shit going on, man. They motherfuckers need to stop that shit. Man, I don't I don't know who raised you the out of here, man. People need to toughen up and stop paying attention to people that means nothing to them, man. That's what it is, you know. I'm saying, like I said again, I don't care what nobody thinks. I don't give a fuck what you think, I don't give a fuck what you think, I don't give a what you think in the back. I don't it don't make me no difference, you know. I'm saying I know what I think about me, and that's enough for me. You already know what it is. Look, this bit another easy one. I'm just talking my shit. Somebody needed to hear that because a lot of people out here is soft, man. Y'all, yeah, soft man, like the shaman's tissue. Finny, soft. Come on, man. Fabric softener. Y'all niggas is soft out here, man. Toughen up wusses. Listen, this is Big Slick. This has been another episode of Talk Your Shit. Check it out.
