Welcome And Why People Quit

SPEAKER_00

What up, what up, what up, what up, what up? Welcome to Talk Your Shit Daily. And I'm your host, Big Slick. You already know we got another great show for you today. But first, I want to give a shout out to all my listeners. Whether you're at home, at work, in your car, all the truck drivers on the road. I appreciate you tuning in. And if you didn't subscribe yet, hit the button, man. Listen, we're going to jump right into the show today. Today's show is about what's the three main reasons why people quit their job. We're going to jump right into it and go over it right now. The first one is being treated unfairly. Like that's the worst thing that you can ever happen to a person on a job is being treated unfairly, right? So you're on a job, you see this person get it getting treated like this, or the boss, uh, managers, supervisors, directors are showing favoritism to certain people on the job, right? But you're getting treated a different way. And you're performing well, you're doing your job, you're doing everything you need to do, but you're getting treated unfairly, right? You're you're scheduled, you're working every weekend. When you see other people, they alternate weekends, so they get the weekends off, or you might be getting cut short on your hours, but the other people are getting a full hours, right? And you know it's it's being you've been treated unfairly because these people start at the same time you started, so we can wipe out the seniority thing. They ain't been there longer than you, so they can pick which weekend to come up. So it's no seniority thing. Let's throw that out the window. Y'all started the same time, right? So, how is it that they get to have every other weekend off and you're working every weekend, right? Makes no sense. It it don't make no sense. They're getting all a hours, you don't get all your hours. You know, that's one of the main reasons somebody that definitely quit their job is being treated unfairly, and and it's crazy, and it might make you hurt somebody on the job. Like, come on, stop playing with people's money, man. No, nobody likes that. So that's the first one. Number two is overworked and underpaid. Now, nobody wants to be overworked, first of all, and now I'm overworked and underpaid, so you're not compensating me for the work I do, right? I'm doing the same job somebody else doing, but they're making more money than me. Again, we started at the same time, so we're gonna get that out the window because some people will comment and go, Well, maybe that person has been there longer, and that's why they make more money. No, you're underpaid. This person started the same time you started, and you're overworked, right? So they're they're they're giving you more work, giving you more assignments, but not paying you, right? And this time, the the you know, and in the way it is today, come on, man. Everybody needs their money, you know, every everything exit's$15. Like, come on, bro, pay me. Why are you overworking me and not paying me? And truthfully, if even if they was paying you right, it's no reason for you to be overworked, right? It's a lot of people that's that's at their job, uh, you know, working, overworking themselves, coming home, having no time for their family, right? And then when you finally look up, you almost it's time for you to retire or something, and you like that dad, what what happened? You had spent no time with your kids, no time with your loved ones, your wife, because you overworked. So it don't even make a difference if you're being compensated well, being overworked is never a good thing, right? You need a work-life balance. That's another reason why a lot of people quit jobs, it's because they don't have that work-life balance. You know, some people's jobs are too demanding, which falls into that overworked category, which I'm talking about, right? We ain't even talking about underpaid no more. Let's talk about the overworked because some people think it's okay to be overworked if they feel like they're being properly compensated for it, but you're gonna pay for that in the long run because it's wear and tear mentally and physically, and you're missing out precious time that you can spend with loved ones that you can't get back, so it's not even worth it to be overworked. But a lot of people will quit a job because they're overworked and definitely underpaid because nobody wants to waste their time at a job and they're not getting paid for it. Like, what am I doing here? I'm I'm this this this makes no sense to me, right? So that's another one. The final one, the number three, is not being appreciated. This is one of the main ones as well, is not being appreciated. So you're going to work, you're doing your job, nobody says, you know, hey man, I appreciate you coming in. And this is when you go, and I know some people might say, Hey, you paid to do your job, and you know, that's that. Listen, appreciation goes a long way. You'll you'll be surprised if you show somebody that you appreciate what they're doing, how long would that go? That helps with the turnover rate. You know what I'm saying? That's a great way to have retention at the job. You know, if a person feels like they appreciate it, they'll stay there and do the job. And and I'm not talking about you don't have to, oh, thank you, you're doing a great job. Oh, thank you, thank you. Every, you know, you don't have to do it all the time, but every now and then, yo, I appreciate what you do. You know, I'm I might not say it a lot, but I do appreciate what you do. Everybody wants to hear that. Now, everybody might admit and might not admit to it, but everybody wants to be appreciated on a job. And if that person starts feeling like they're not appreciated, a person that's not appreciated, or go work somewhere else and take less pay. They just will, you know. Some people rather be appreciated, you know, over like I just said, over compensation of being paid. Some people rather be appreciated, they just know you know it feels good to be appreciated, right? That goes that emotion goes further than money sometimes. So if you're not being appreciated at a job, that's another reason, a main reason why a lot of people quit, and that's just what it is. And if you fall in any of these three categories that I just mentioned, by all means, find you a job where you're not overworked, you're not underpaid, you're appreciated, and you're being treated fairly because that's what you deserve, man. Come on, you're spending all your time there, you might as well check off all the boxes that that needs to be checked off. If it's not right, take flight. You already know what it is, it's big slick. It's been another great show, and I'm out.
