〖We C Classical〗用 Mac 寫 Windows 音效的男人——Brian Eno 到底是誰？

他不會視譜、不精通任何樂器，自稱「非音樂家」。但他製作了 David Bowie 的柏林三部曲、U2 的《The Joshua Tree》、Coldplay 的《Viva la Vida》，還發明了一整個音樂類型。
Brian Eno 的故事從藝術學院開始——他用網球朝鋼琴擊打當作音樂實驗。後來加入華麗搖滾樂團 Roxy Music，穿著羽毛裝化著大濃妝，是舞台上最搶眼的孔雀。但兩張專輯後他就厭倦了，轉身鑽進錄音室。
1975年一場車禍改變了一切。躺在病床上，他聽著極低音量的豎琴音樂和窗外的雨聲融為一體，頓悟了上一集 Satie 五十年前就想說的事：音樂可以不是主角，它可以像空氣一樣存在。
三年後他寫出了《Ambient 1: Music for Airports》，正式為 ambient music 命名。而這張專輯裡藏著一個驚人的秘密——他的另一張經典《Discreet Music》的 B 面，其實是對巴洛克名曲 Pachelbel《Canon in D》的變形處理。從巴洛克到環境音，這條線是真實存在的。
對了，如果你是 Windows 的老用戶，你也聽過他的作品——那段6秒鐘的開機音效，他寫了84個版本，而且是用 Mac 完成的。
