Another Feral Friday brought a little bit of everything to the table, from abandoned amusement parks to fandom discourse and a healthy serving of Bang Chan chaos.

We kicked things off with this week's RachaLog, where Lee Know, I.N, and Chan spent the day exploring an abandoned amusement park armed with cameras before wrapping up the adventure over dinner. The episode delivered exactly the kind of relaxed friendship content that reminds us why these behind-the-scenes moments are so beloved.

We also touched on Felix's latest Adidas campaign and celebrated the overwhelming demand for STRAY CITY, with the initial dates in Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico selling out at lightning speed. Argentina's response was so strong that a second date was quickly added, proving once again that Stray Kids' global reach continues to grow.

As discussions resurfaced about lives being placed behind a membership paywall, we explored both the realities of paid fan platforms and the unique culture of STAY. While membership content may initially be gated, the fandom has consistently shown itself to be incredibly generous, with translations, clips, summaries, and replay information often spreading throughout the community within hours—sometimes minutes—of becoming available.

Okay, um, but we got we got a Hyunjun live today, which was absolutely adorable. It is a stark night and day difference watching lives from Instagram from lives on fans. You are absolutely correct. Clearly see how much more comfortable and relaxed and just natural the guys are when they are doing lives under that platform. Yep, it's controlled. And well, I mean, it's not just it's controlled, but like they don't have when they're doing lives on Instagram, they I mean granted, Hyunjin would go and just do lives from his bedroom on Instagram and not care, like right, but for the most part, anytime the guys were doing lives on Instagram, they were doing lives, and it's yeah, and it's with their actual fans, exactly. Yes, that's right, yeah, random people hopping in. Um but granted Hyunjin would do solo, and by solo, I'm saying he was doing lives literally like in his room or you know, in from the hotel room or whatever, without without there being a ton of staff around. Um, but most of the other Instagrams that were done for the most part were done with staff in the room. So there's also that layer of they don't have multiple eyes right looking at them, scrutinizing them. Yes, you can, no, you can't. Right. Right. Um, so there's that aspect of things, but that's also drumming up a lot of conversation Hingons Live, and I think it's funny. I have I'm gonna say this right now. I find it hilariously funny that Leno's done lives, Ion's done lives, honey's done lives, yeah. Nobody's brought it it, it got brought up initially at the beginning when they first started doing it. It did because he did so many in a row, yeah. Yeah, but then it got then it died down and it got quiet, and there were a couple of lives that happened, and nobody nobody was freaking out. All of a sudden Hunjin does one, and all of it gets brought back up again about oh my god, they're behind a paywall.

You know what I mean? Yeah, because he can he can cross-promote a lot easier. But here's I want to say my two cents about fans right now. Everybody had a chance to go get the fan membership. The membership is open for almost a month. Am I correct? It's like three weeks or something. Three weeks. Okay, so for three weeks you had a chance to decide. You could have chose to get the membership without the fan kit.

So if anybody is curious as to like why I have why I have a kit in the membership, it's because around the time that that happened, I was people were generous. So there's um, but the the there was there was head, there was leeway going into the membership opening. The membership was open for I think two and a half to three weeks, minimum two weeks, minimum two weeks. And there was great debate at the time regarding not only the pricing for everything, but also what we were getting for that pricing. And when you break it down, it ended up being roughly $33 is $33.99 for the year. Um look at and look at what Raven just threw up.

Um, it's also under more of more of a paywall than some of the other groups. I think the only other groups that are comparable, I think BTS's was like 19, was like 20 bucks for the year.

There are I guess not as much, though they said that well, I think that that's what some armies said that it's not as which I mean I get it, different company, different things, but and to me, it feels like they are trying to move away from bubble. It's it seems like we're trying they're trying to condense it down so that everything is in one place, they have more control over it because obviously bubble is a third-party company. You were paying Dear U. It's Deer U is the company that that does the software for Bubble. There are other groups and other companies that are that utilize bubble as their platform. It seems to me like they're trying to transition away from Bubble, have the features that everybody enjoys on Bubble on fans, so that you can then do this.

Um, and realistically speaking, the membership again was 33, 40 bucks total with the kit included and whatnot. Obviously, not counting shipping and what have you, but we're not looking at that. Well, the guys that are the guys that are actively in there actively respond to things, right? And now you're getting lives, now we're getting voice notes, now we're getting early access to tickets, now we're like pre-sales to merch, yeah. Kimmy's right though, they also have had more issues than the rest of JYP. Exactly. Well, yes, obviously. Um, because because that's all us. Um I'm sorry, and I say us, the the general us. Let me say yes, um, and the you can access certain things through fans without being behind a paywall. You're not gonna get the interaction with the guys, you're not gonna get the wives, but there are things that you can have access to through fans. And I understand people are like, well, you know, it limits the accessibility. No, it doesn't, realistically speaking, when you look at it from the marketing perspective, what it limits is it limits the it limits the accessibility for someone who is not a stay. Um, it limits the accessibility for just randos to come off the internet and jump into something and do whatever the hell they want. Um it limits the accessibility for a lot of for a lot of things in that way, security and safety-wise, essentially, is what it comes down to. Um but it's I never remember with passwords. I'm but the flower fell. It's like it's the uh I and I get it because it's like I also want to remind people too, and this is actually something I reminded online earlier today when somebody was talking about this exact thing that you know they're they're they're they're they were upset that they didn't get to watch Hunjins Live because it wasn't on Insta, and you they don't do lives on bubble, so they you know, so they don't if they don't if they don't do access on on Insta, then the only the only they're only accessible through bubble. Right. Um and the way it was presented, this person seems to have a bubble account, so it's like okay, you you're paying for that, so there's that aspect of things. Um, and I one of the things I specifically said is that the them being behind a paywall. Actually, no, hold on, let me find it because I was quite proud of myself. Um, I was quite proud of myself for how I did the things.

This was this was my response earlier to somebody who was complaining about the fact that fans is behind a paywall and the guys seem to be using fans more often than anything else. So I'm going to say, and they're they're they're they're basically saying that JYP needs to make fans accessible to everybody. Um, which I mean technically it is. But my response to them was I'm going to start off by saying that no one, individual or company, needs to do anything here. As many, as many pointed out, fans is behind a paywall for reasons. Whether you agree with those reasons or not, it's not going to change. Others have also pointed out that the annual membership was transparent in what it was in costs. It is effectively less per year than one ticket on bubble. What is accessible as a fan is relative. Even without any of the quote unquote paid stuff, we are well fed as a fandom. But more importantly, the stuff doesn't make you a stay. It is no indication of your love or dedication to the guys, or vice versa. Yep. That distinction matters. The only things you need to be stay is a love of the music and the eight men that make it. Not to mention the lives are inevitably translated and reposted for everyone to see, usually within 24 hours. So you're not missing out just the lads lately. Not even 24 hours, 10 minutes. Well, that depends. But it's the what do you mean it depends? Every live has been posted within 10 minutes. Well, not but not not necessarily the whole thing?

And then inevitably and then inevitably somebody's downloaded it and thrown it up online somewhere. Correct. The the the I the the point that I wanted to make is what's accessible as a fan is relative. Because I had I had this distinction. Growing up, I had this thing where like I was very we we were you JC you and I actually kind of talked about this as a side thing about you know people that are very brand centered, brand specific, they have to have they have to have certain brands, they have to have the the they have to have certain things. The image is the image is important. Um and I was kind of sort of like that as a kid, and we could never afford it ever. I I can distinctly remember being upset that I did not have kids when I was a kid, because if you were the you were supposed to have kids, that's just which is hilarious because they were always white, and I don't know why I wanted them because inevitably they would have gotten dirty. But that's just ugly, and that you and they're uncomfortable, they hurt your toes. But regardless, regardless, I was always I was always upset that I didn't have the actual brand name kids. I had like I got the Kmart knockoffs or whatever, and that used to bug the crap out of me. And over time that that kind of got eroded and went away. But I had somebody point out to me that you know stuff when it comes when it comes to stuff like that, when it comes to what what things cost, it's relative, right? Something that might be $20 for some persons for someone might be really fucking expensive. Whereas something that's you know $250 or $2,000 might not be expensive for somebody else.

I haven't seen a single damn thing that those men have done, any one of the eight of them, that isn't online within 24 hours within 24 hours. Right. Like, and that's and I say that as a long period, long window of time, right? Even when they do, even when they were doing, you know, YouTube, even when they do YouTube lives and whatnot, almost inevitably you have somebody that's translated it and posted it online fairly quickly. Yeah, all things considered. Now, granted, if it's a two-hour long birthday live that they do, it might take a little bit longer for that for that to get transcribed and stuff, but hey, just keep keep talking.
