It is Mike Bitter, and I want to welcome each and every one of you to the podcast Word Around the Campfire. It is the last day of March. Holy shit, how crazy is that? Time is flying by so fast. And I am taking a break from work right now. Uh just to record a podcast real quick to give you guys some updates to let you guys know what's going on, what's been going on, and who's it's been going on with. Hey, freaking get in trouble, man. Somebody's gonna hear that, they're gonna read into it, and it's just yeah, I'm I'm just uh gonna get myself in a whole bunch of shit. Hey, it's not like that. I already am. Hey yeah, now just jokey, just jokey, just joking. Don't take that out of context, but man, um I don't know what is going on today with everybody, yeah. Like everybody is just having an off day, and guess where the target is at? It is on me. Like everybody's like frustrated or something, and they're just being some dicks and some assholes, man. And I'm just like, yo, what is going on, man? Oh man, I understand work can get crazy. I understand life can get crazy, but man, all right, everybody's on one, man. Everybody's on their periods right now. I think um, I think I'm getting mine. I think I think my period's coming because I feel bloated. Hey, my hands are a little chubby. Um I'm hungry, I want to eat everything. Hey, yeah, but no, I don't know if it is, if it's even just the weather, too. It's it's gloomy outside. Holy cow, New Mexico weather, Arizona weather, or the the Navajo Nation weather, I I I should say, is so bipolar, it's so crazy. One day it's super freaking hot, and then the next day it's super cold, man. And it looks like it was it's it's gonna rain. Looks like it's gonna rain. It's cloudy, it's breezy, and it's just kind of cold. And I'm just like, fuck, I'm so glad that I brought my jacket today. But I had to get out of the office. I had to get out of the office really quick because the vibes, uh, just like I said, man, I don't know what's going on, man. It's some kind of witchcraft. I don't know if it's some kind of witchcraft day or something, but man, it was um oh man, yep. I I I just had to step out just for a little bit and just like, man, okay, okay, okay, I get it. I understand you're probably frustrated with work, you know, something's not going right or whatever, but damn, take a break and fucking breathe, you know? Every little thing, every little thing is just like I make a little comment as like they're they're getting mad about it, you know? And I'm just like, yo, man, chill. That was either a joke or I was just, you know, you ask for my opinion. Don't ask for my fucking opinion if if if you're not going to take it or if you're not even gonna listen, you know? And that's not towards directly to anybody, you know. I'm just saying speaking out loud, you know? Uh, but man, yeah, everything is just like, everything is just crazy. And I just like I didn't, I didn't want to to to be in that negativity, you know? So I was like, okay, you know what? I'm gonna I'm gonna jump outside real quick. I'm gonna record a podcast, give some updates, and let people know what's been going on and how everything went and like events and stuff that are coming up. Because I was going through emails today and just you know, looking at my calendar and just trying to see uh where else I can fit in a show or two, you know. Not that I'm looking for shows, but there are some people that have reached out and was like, hey Mike, you know, I'm bringing this artist in. Uh, do you want a DJ? And just stuff like that, you know. So I am very picky right now of where I'm gonna be DJing, of who I'm gonna be DJing for, and just uh where my time is gonna be allocated, I guess you could say. So um I'm in my picky phase right now, I'm in my bitch phase right now. So hey man, but man, but other than that, I just want to say, I don't know if I if I say it enough, but I just want to thank all of you guys so much for just the love on the song I Lost Everything. Like, holy cow! Like I said, I do not want to look at stats, I do not want to look at the streams, the downloads, or anything like that. Because I can I can do that too. Just just like you know, how I can see the podcast, how many downloads, streams, and where it's being played at, or whatever, you know. Um I don't want to do that with the song. Uh the song was just released, it came out on the 28th, man, and holy cow, y'all blew it up. Y'all downloaded it, y'all streaming it, y'all playing it. So I appreciate it with all of my heart. If you know me best, you guys know that I do not like to say the bottom, the bottom of my heart. You hear that all the time when people say, Oh man, you know, thank you from the bottom of my heart. No disrespect, but when I think when you say something like that, oh, oh, or when I hear it, I always think I always have this mindset. Like, like, why do people say that? Why can't they just say with all of my heart? Because, you know, what's usually at the bottom? Nothing. The leftovers, the, you know, the trash juice. That's usually at the bottom. So I don't and if you say that, if you say, you know, like, oh man, I I thank you with from the bottom of my heart, you know, that's fine, you know. I just my mindset is just a little bit different. And I always say, you know, with all in my heart. So if I tell you, you know, thank you with all of my heart, I'm I'm thanking you with my whole heart, uh, showing appreciation, showing gratitude. Now I'm gonna get in trouble and people are gonna be like, oh man, that's you know, shut the fuck. You lit liquor, hey man. Oh my goodness. But yeah, thank you guys so much with all in my heart, and I I appreciate the love and the support, uh, not only with this song, not only um for the song, but also for this podcast. Man, the the just just the crazy amount of of love that we get from the podcast is ridiculous. Like, holy cow. Uh the shares, the emails, um, is is so surreal. Sometimes I can't, my mind can't even fathom it. Like, my mind cannot even comprehend, like, oh shit, this this is this is taking off. This is something big, uh, especially with the stats, you know, with the with the ranking of the podcast. It's super, super crazy. And again, I I I can't thank you guys enough. You guys are the ones that that are bringing this podcast to life. You guys are the ones that are keeping this podcast going, you know, giving us topics to talk about, giving us things to make fun of, and just, you know, even even with the branch off of quote unquote micless or whatever you want to call it, you know, uh the little ukulele's and heartbreaks, heartbreaks and ukuleles, like thank you guys so much and for that too, as well. And and man, it's just like I said, it's so surreal, and I love it so much. So thank you guys so much. But I lost everything. Oh man, but as the month comes to an end, man, I am looking forward to April 11th. Got two songs dropping. Uh one I I didn't really talk about, uh, so that one you're just gonna have to hear on your own. And then also always, always is dropping uh April 11th. I am looking forward to it. It it is um, man, I like I said, I I I just can't I can't even wrap my head around it. Not in a million years would I've ever think that this would ever come out come out about, you know? And it's just an amazing feeling. Like it's an amazing feeling. I got asked, you know, Mike, your the the song was released, how do you feel about it? At the moment, it wasn't it wasn't real yet until people started messaging me, until some friends, some homies called, and was just like, yo, this is dope, Mike. Like it it's out right now, man. It's out right now. And then just to even hear that it's out on TikTok, that it's out on Facebook is like freaking like it's it it it's sinking in now. Although I didn't mean for it to be what it is, like I said, I have no intention on trying to do shows, on trying to book shows or whatever, you know, as far as quote unquote micless, uh, but just being able to to express yourself uh musically, I guess you could say, and getting back into that production phase of producing music, of making music, is so um man, it's it's a blessing. I am blessed, like I seriously am blessed. And that's the reason why I had to step away from from from work for a little bit, you know, just to just to gather my thoughts. Uh, because I didn't want like nobody's bad vibes. I didn't want I didn't want that bad medicine on me. You know, it's all good medicine, it's all good medicine, and don't forget that. And, you know, that some people even say, hey, Mike, when I listened to it, I cried. You know, I cried, I cried because that's me. You were talking about me, you were talking about me, and I was just like, nah, I was talking about me. Hey so, you know, it's it's a blessing to know that that your creativity is um reaching people on an emotional level, on a on a spiritual level, I guess you could say. Um, and then also allowing people to to figure out what what they need good in their life. Um and like I said, that was my intent, that wasn't my intentions, was was was to try to start this whole thing again and try to be like, oh man, because I I got I got questions, um, people asking. So, so are you gonna try to do a tour? You're gonna try to do a show, you know, because this is this is gonna this is gonna be big, you know? And I'll in my mind I'm just like, no, man, like I I wasn't even thinking of it like that. I just had these emotions, I just had these feelings, I needed to record it, and and lo and behold, it is what it is. So, man, but again, man, thank you guys so much. Like, I can't even say it enough, man. Like, I got the biggest smile on my face right now. Uh, just knowing that that that people are vibing to the song, knowing, and then also, holy cow, this is past uh weekend. Of you guys, of course, you guys know I was in Muscalero. At the end of the night, the the first night, I played Always, and people were vibing to it. People were were were digging it, and um I had to jump on the mic and kind of you know do a little bit, uh add libs to it too, as well, you know. And then Saturday night, you know, the the as it was wrapping up the the last song, I I played um, you know, I lost everything. And people were were standing there listening to it. Uh people were there was a couple there that was dancing to it, and I'm just like, holy cow, like this is freaking, you know, this is this is crazy, you know? And again, you know, that was not what I expected, but I am blessed. I am truly, truly blessed to um to man to even manifest this, I guess you could say, you know. And uh I was talking to a really good friend of mine, and they were telling me, like, man, it's so weird because lately I've been manifesting things and they've been coming true, you know? And I was like, holy shit, like freaking witchcraft, hey man. It's like freaking witchcraft, man. And I was telling them, I was like, well, manifest that I fucking won the lottery, that way I can leave work and just you know stay at home full time, hey man. But yeah, it was it was freaking crazy, and and and you know, just just for them to say, like, man, Mike, you know, I I've I've been thinking about you, I've been praying for you, uh, sending good thoughts, good vibes, and everything. That that was that was more than enough. And man, I I can't say it enough how blessed I am Um with these with with these good things that are that are coming through, you know, uh with life, uh with not only music, but also um just life in general, man. Uh getting getting to a place of happiness again is really scary for me. Getting to a place of being able to say I'm happy is really scary because I've said it before. I always feel like I sabotage things, I always feel like I say something stupid or I do something stupid just to sabotage my own happiness. And now that I'm getting to a place of comfort, now that I'm getting to a place of of where it's just like, okay, cool. Not not that I'm going out again or you know, doing this and that. Because I I love being a homebody. I love staying home. And that, you know, that that brings me nothing but joy, but just having that feeling of like, man, you know, like this is this is what happiness is again. You know, this is this is you know, doing little things. And it doesn't and it and it's nothing bad. It's it's just changing a lifestyle, just changing a lifestyle, whether it's um what you eat, how you dress, um, and just I guess you can say appearance or whatever, uh, what what makes the happiness. And I've I've been trying all of that, you know, like I like I I've been telling, you know, the podcast, the listeners, I I've been doing all of that. This this this change uh was coming from from somewhere that that needs to happen in my life. And I feel blessed about it. Uh, but I'm scared, like I am so freaking super scared because I'm like, damn, I know for a fact, I know for a fact that the rug's gonna be pulled out from under me, and that sucks so bad. It sucks so bad. And I I don't know, like, like I guess I just have to ride it out. But but you know, like um and and then also you know, be being able just to step away, like I did from from work there for a little bit. I'm on my break, and I was like, let me just let me just talk to the to the listeners for a little bit, you know, let me let me regain that positivity. Uh, because yeah, work, like fucking the vibes, the vibes were off today, like fucking people were on one, people were mad or whatever. And I'm just like, yo, man, fucking go to the restroom and fucking rub it out. Like fucking go to the restroom, knock it out, come back happy, you'll be good, man. You know, like I said, man. Everybody acting like they're on their periods right now, man. I think, like I said, I think I'm getting mine because hey. And that was that was one of the one of the questions that came in too was just like, man, Mike, I wish you, and it was from a female, you know, and they're like, man, Mike, I wish that you and Shells would knew what it would have felt like to have a period, you know. Uh the the the cramps and the moodiness, the hungerness, the swelling, and all this stuff. And and I was like, yeah, man, I said I know exactly how that feels because sometimes I get a bloody nose, you know, and it hurts. Oh man, just joking. I feel bloated, I feel hungry, you know. My hands kind of swell up a little bit when I get a bloody nose. Hey, yeah, I'm just joking, man. But that was one of the questions that came in. And man, you know, all props to you ladies that go through all of that, man. You guys are freaking freaking soldiers. And and um, you know, uh what when it came to that question too, I was I was thinking about it. Like, like um, like I know how some ladies are insecure about having their period, you know, because uh some people, you know, some ladies say, oh, it's messy, you know, I'm I'm a heavy bleeder. Hey, man, I can't believe I'm talking about this. Like, oh man, a heavy bleeder like freaking gushes out, hey, yeah, that freaking big old river. Hey, yeah, and uh, you know, like like they they do, they get insecure, especially, especially if if you're uh with them, I guess you could say, or around them when they actually do have their their periods, you know. And you know, sometimes it's not easy to shop, you know, it's not easy to shop for those feminine products, you know. Uh, but for me, you know, I was always one, like, heck, I'll freaking carry that for you, you know. I'll carry around your pads, hey man, no shame, man, no shame, man. But that, you know, I was thinking about that too when when when the when you know my co-workers and stuff were were on when I'm just like, damn, man, do you need a tampon or something? Hey, yeah. But yeah, it was just it was just an off, like it just felt like an off, um, an off day, you know, uh morning, I guess you could say. Hopefully the afternoon gets a little bit better. Uh, hopefully that I I I can cheer them up and make them laugh and just just forget about it, man. I I do understand that people do have bad days. Shit, I have them too. Have them pretty much all the time. Like I said, I I just I just have a gift, hey. I have a gift to not express it and to cover it up by by by fake smiles. Damn. Um Damn, damn. Like I have. I'm really good at that. I'm I'm really good at um of uh covering it up really easy and acting like everything is okay. I'm really good at not saying that everything sucks uh because I want to make sure that you guys are okay. I want I want to make sure that that I I don't want to add my problems to your problems or what I'm going through because they always say, you know, like your energy can be transferred to somebody else, you know, your energy can be um taken by somebody else or you can put it on them and and that just makes that's just makes life more stressful, you know. So I tend not to say anything, um, even though shit like I'm going through it or anything, you know. Uh so I I I tend to to to to divert it uh over to happiness and just being funny and just um but man, you know, I have days like that. This sucks. Um don't talk about it too often or whatever, but I'm I'm not one to I've said it and I'm not one to to to fully give that because I just don't want people to think that they need to feel sorry for me, you know. And this this has nothing to do with anything. Like I like that that's just how I feel, you know. And but I do I do appreciate, man, I do appreciate the love and support that they want people reach out and say, hey Mike, you know, I'm sorry about this, I'm sorry about that, man. You you're awesome, you're amazing, I love you. We're praying for you, or I'm praying for you. It's it's always a blessing, and I and I do really appreciate that. You know, I I love that with all of my heart. Thank you guys so much. And I'm saying this not for you guys to to to feel that now and be like, oh man, he's having a shitty day. I'm gonna hit him up. Hey yeah. I'm just saying like like um there's days that suck, yep. Like like like now. You know, now it is uh it is 1126, it's almost lunch for some of you guys, and this podcast is gonna drop ASAP, but man, don't don't don't take remember work work is just work. Work is work. You're there for eight hours, uh, you're there just to just to do a job, to get paid. That's your source of income. And you don't you don't need the you you don't need to give anything else besides work. That's all leave when when your eight hours is done, when you're clocked out, leave it there and and go enjoy life, you know, after work or whatever, whether it's with your kids, whether it's with your spouse, your partner, or whoever you're with, or even if it's you by yourself, go take yourself out on a date, man. That's I think that's what I might do. You know, just after just get some popcorn and just chill tonight, man. And freaking because it's you know, I'm I'm a pretty good person to be a date to, eh? So I think I'm gonna take myself out tonight, or to take myself in, hey, and just stay home, watch a movie, and just chill out, you know. Um stop by my mom, my mom and dad's and see how everything's going there too, as well. I was I was I hung out with my mom last night and uh you know it was it was uh it was good. It was really good. Had good conversations and you know, just um just talked, talked about life. Uh she was asking me how Musculera was, if I saw any of the family out there. I told them that my cousins came by, you know, cousin, cousin, cousin, cousin. Uh told them that my cousins came by and you know, they they said what's up, and and you know, they're possibly gonna be coming out to Shiprock within the next couple of weeks, you know, just to visit family. So my mom was pretty happy about that. She was she was looking forward to it, and she was like, Yeah, that would be fun. That'd be fun if they come out. And you know, we just started talking about my dad, you know, and it was good, man. When when I um when I got to my mom's, uh, there was a watermelon. If you guys know me personally, like you guys know that I love watermelon. Um, me and my dad can finish a whole watermelon by ourselves. We could we could polish off a whole watermelon by ourselves. We can sit at the kitchen table just eating watermelon, talking, and just we'd be the only ones. We'd be the only ones. So yesterday, you know, of course, watermelon season is coming in. And um, yesterday my mom she she went and text me, you know, she just asked how I was doing. I told her I was good. And she was like, Oh yeah, you, you know, if if you're not busy, come on, come over, you know. And so I went over and just chilled with my mom. And then uh saw the water watermelon on the table, and I was like, man, I said, when did you get that? She was like, Oh, I just got that today. And she was like, it's just uh it's just a form of habit to to buy a watermelon, she said. And she was like, I don't, she's like, I don't know, you know, what I'm going to do with it. And I was like, what do you mean? And then that's when she was just like, only you and dad would eat watermelon. And because my mom, she doesn't really eat watermelon, she'll eat watermelon, but she's not like obsessed with it with it, like me. Hey and if you guys know I I can't eat watermelon. Hey. I can't believe I did that without a watermelon. Hey yeah, sound effects. Oh man. Uh, but no, my mom was just, you know, she she said, she was like, I don't, she's like, I was just gonna throw it away. She said, and I told her, I said, no, mom I said, I'm going to eat it. So I dipped into it last night. Holy cow. Like, I I I I got sad last night. Um, there at my mom's. I was sitting at the kitchen table crying, eating watermelon, eating watermelon. And you know, my mom, my mom and my sisters, my sisters came back last night too. And um they they they didn't they didn't come over and console me, I guess you could say, because they knew, you know, they they knew Mike, Mike, Mike's in his moment. They he needs that moment, you know. And so I sat there at the at the kitchen table and my mom and dad's just eating watermelon, I was just crying. And I could just picture my dad beside me, you know, we're eating watermelon conversations that we had. And me and my dad would always, every time we ate watermelon, look at each other and be like, man, this is good, huh? And my my dad would always say, This is good, huh, Sonny? I'm like, oh man, yup, this is good. Then I look at him too. I'm like, man, dad's good, huh? Like, and we'll just go back and forth, you know, like that. Uh, and just talk, you know, just just just have a conversation. And I always I always liked it. Um, you know, uh watermelon talk is what I what I called it. Watermelon talk, you know. But uh, but yeah, it was it was good. It was it was good healing though, uh be being able to do that. And knowing there's a memory from my dad there, I was actually proud about myself because a problem myself. I don't know why I said it like that, but I was actually proud about myself because I could have ran. I felt it. I felt it when I when I saw that watermelon and my mom was talking about it. Like I felt it. I felt like okay, cool, it's time for me to go, you know. But I stayed there. I I stayed there and I um, you know, I I I stayed there, not not forced myself to stay there. I wanted to stay there. And then after that, you know, it was it was eating watermelon, like seriously, I'm I'm not even joking. Like I ate half of that watermelon. And my mom, she was like, she was like, do you want to take the other half? But I told my mom I said no, keep it here. And the reason why I said keep it there was um for me to go back again. Because if I took that watermelon home, I probably I probably wouldn't have gone back to my mom's for, you know, a couple days or whatever. But being able to go see my mom and and you know be around the house, be around that missing part of my dad not being there, um was the excuse of the watermelon leave leaving the watermelon there, you know. So I told my mom, I said, no, I said, I said, leave it here. I said, I'll be back tomorrow again to eat to eat tomorrow. So I am looking forward to that after work, you know. I'm looking forward to going over to my mom and dad's, uh slicing up that watermelon and just eating it. And it's so funny because my sister, my my little sister, she um uh she she ate some yesterday, but she put salt on hers. So that was my next question I was gonna ask about the about the watermelon is do you guys put salt on it? Is it just an Arizona thing? Because I just see Arizona people put salt on their watermelon. And as you guys know, my sister works in Tucson now, so she's an official resident of Arizona. She has an official Arizona driver's license, uh, which don't expire for like a billion years, eh? So she's an Arizonian now, and I can make fun of her, hey. Uh, but yeah, like like uh I've never seen my little sister put salt on on her watermelon before. But yesterday, like she she had some watermelon, she put some salt on it, and I was just like, what? What kind of weirdo is that? You know, so I tried it. No, it did, it's not for me. Tahen, yeah, tahine technically is salt, but you know, uh uh flavored salt, I guess you could say. Uh, but tahine is it it adds a different flavor to it versus salt. But I I've seen I've seen the elderly do that to their watermelon, they add salt to it. They really like salt on there. Uh so I saw my sister do that, and I was just like, May, I was like, you know, I was getting ready to slap that watermelon out of her hand. Hey, yeah, it's like, don't you ever disrespect watermelon like that? Freaking put salt on it. Hey, yeah. Uh, but yeah, like she she did that. And and I always wanted to ask. So I'm gonna ask you guys out there, do you guys do you guys have salt or do you guys use salt with your watermelon? And you know, what what does that do to enhance the flavor, I guess you could say, to salt uh to the watermelon? Because most of you guys know that I don't use salt at all, not unless I'm eating stew, or you know, it I I generally need salt, is but other than that, I don't use salt at all um in my food. So I was just wondering, like, like what is that, what is that does that enhance your your taste buds? And then also when I was talking about salt, um, it it got me thinking about another thing. I don't know if you guys remember, but back in the day, this was a man, this was a while back. Remember when they had that weight loss salt, like the commercials where it was like, oh, you know, you wanted to lose weight, and then the lady digs in her bag, brings out this weird-looking box, and then she like puts it on her ice cream, just everything, and then it's like weight loss salt. I was so curious. I always wanted to try it, but I never got a chance to find it. I can't remember what the name of it was, but it was so funny. I'm just like, how can salt be, you know, be you know, be a weight loss thing, you know? So if you guys remember what that salt is, that weight loss salt, and if you guys know if they still sell it, let me know that way. I want to try to find it, I want to try to purchase it, I want to try to see if it works or you know what the taste of it is. But man, those freaking, those freaking salts in in that in that commercial, they look huge. Like they look really big, like big old chunks of salt in there. Uh, I'll be working with uh with some artists that are gonna be coming into Farmington, also some artists that are gonna be in Muscalero. I am still undecided if I want to uh DJ the Ice Cube show over in Rio Doso. Uh they did ask me, uh, so I'm I'm kind of uh I'm not too sure. I'm not a hundred percent sure uh if I want to do that or not, or just you know, just take time to chill. Like I said, this this year is is going to be my year just to chill, to turn down some events. Uh, because you know what? I give this all up for you. I said it before, hey man. Uh, but but just to uh but just to chill, you know. And then also got some other events coming up too as well. Amanda Perez is gonna be back in the area, and you know, her manager reached out and was just like, hey, you know, you killed it the last time, you got the crowd hype, we want you back. Uh let us know. So, you know, the the the contracts and everything are going to be in the works for that too, as well.

I I had I had to step away from work, like I said, just to regroup because I didn't I didn't want that bad energy, I didn't want that negativity to get on me and then you know fuck up my whole entire day because I still got four hours here at work, and I don't want to be sitting in there like a fucking sour puss, like some of you guys at work right now. Hey yeah, but but yeah, I mean, uh like I said, you know, don't don't take that negative energy, don't take it home. Uh leave it here when you guys clock out, leave it at work. You guys don't need to take it, take it with you guys. And if you're at work and you're stressed and you know, you're just fucking everything's just not working for you, take take a break, take a small little break to regroup, take a small little break to go to your car to pray. If you pray or whatever, whatever you guys want to go go listen to some music, go watch TikToks or Facebook or do whatever you guys need, and um, to to get out of that funk. Uh, because it's really easy to stay in that funk. It really is easy to to take what somebody says and then let it bother you for the rest of the day, let it replay in your head for the rest of your day, even though you know it might not have been meant the way it was said. Um I know a lot of the times sometimes I I do that when somebody says something to me, you know. I I I like damn, okay. So they're they're they're saying that about me or to me or whatever when it wasn't when it wasn't meant for that. It was just meant like as as either a compliment or or something to to fix, I guess you could say, you know. Uh so you know, take a break, take a break, go stretch, uh, take a walk, uh, listen to music, listen to videos or so, watch videos, listen to videos. Well, I guess you can listen to videos, but uh watch videos. Um, if you're on social media, go check out your social media, go stock him, go check what he's doing. Hey, yeah, go look him up.
