Alright, y'all, welcome back to the show where we cut through all the noise, talk real talk about life, family, and the world all around us. My name is Jack Nofel, and I'm here to guide you on this beautiful Monday. First, let's check in. Um, I think there hasn't been a couple weeks where we have checked in and talked to each other. Uh, if you're listening out there, how are you feeling after this weekend? Did you participate in the Matrix and get drunk, hungover, sports, and really just disconnect it from your body so you can give yourself a break from work. I understand that. I did that for 20 years. Or were you intentional with who you are in your time and really put in the effort to go to the next level? So let me tell you about me. Lately, it has been a fucking bitch for me to get on any rhythm pattern since basically June, beginning of June. When we decided we were moving, it kind of happened in April time frame. May we started gathering things, packing the house up in June. It was full on press. We were going to the um storage, we were taking care of all that stuff, and packing non-stop, and my routine went off. Also, my diet went off. Every time I lose focus of my routine in the morning, especially, everything is just like disassembled, and I have to reassemble my entire fucking life back together. And listen to this. So that was early June. Today is August 10th. Today was the first day I did my entire morning routine, the one that I like that I created for myself that feels good. First time since June, or maybe end of May. So my routine that I like to do. So before I blew up on social media, it was wake up, pray, or meditate, breath work, whatever you want to call it, do that first. Two journal or switch them around. Journal first, then meditate. Both go hand in hand for me. So those are my two first things. I journal with the Glimpse app. So I just have to speak into it. I like doing that. It became one of my favorite things. So journal, meditate, prayer, whatever. Next, work out. And when I was really good shape, workout was first. I would wake up, I'll drink a little glass of water with lemon and get out the door for a run. And I like that. Slowly wake the body up on the first mile. By mile two, I'm in it. So then I come home and I would drink my coffee and kind of settle in with the kids. So today was the first time I woke up. And oh, and that changed in February when I decided to go all in on content creation. And I woke up in the first 30 minutes to an hour, I posted reels on Instagram and Facebook. And so I went from in March, I started in March at 12,000 followers, and today, August 10th, I'm at 160,000 followers. So it worked, but it also took away my entire morning routine because my morning routine became work over physical, like taking care of my body, which I'm not totally out of shape, but I'm out of fucking shape for me. So um I had to give there's give and take, man, on all of this shit, folks. So don't think you have to be perfect every day. No, we're just trying to do every day that thing that makes us feel good, that keeps us in a good mindset to push us through with more wins than losses in the day. That's how I look at it. All right. So I coach a little bit differently than other people. I am all about the stacking the small wins and making those wins pile up so much in such a force that at the end of the day you give yourself a W. You get a win for the day, and then you do that for the week, and then for the month, and then for the year, right? We're always trying to try and stack more wins. Well, my wins were coming in different form in these last months. It was coming in in followers and subscribers and new people in my communities. So um, yeah, it was cool, it was winning. But at the same time, what was losing? My body. I I popped my shoulder out of place at jujitsu, and from then I haven't been able to do anything that's like overhead, it still hurts. They come up here. Uh, but we're getting back four months later. So I had to go through a hard fucking injury, and it's so the timing was kind of good for me to switch it up because of that injury, but it's time for me to get back focused on my body, and so now my body is becoming first. Content creation is gonna take a back seat. Um, I didn't expect to even get 100,000 followers. When I hit 50,000, I was like, this is cool, I'm awesome at 50,000, and it just keeps growing. I bet I'll be at 200,000 by the end of August. And um, thank you guys all for supporting. I'm just trying to speak the truth and use other people's content that also where they're speaking the truth, where I can't even say it better, or just the way they say it is hit perfectly for that moment. And so I'm just trying to spread awareness and information as much as possible. Anyways, today I woke up, I got my first morning routine in. My son's been waking up at like five, the two-year-old, and it's been horrible. After he came out of food poisoning with two weeks of food poisoning, we just came over when we're uh in San Cristobal de las Casas. And now we have moved to Puerto Escondido in the Oaxaca state of Mexico, and it's been beautiful. We all feel better being by the beach. We haven't lived by the beach in over a year because we had to move from the beach because the little man he was allergic or sensitive to the humidity and mold that was in the Cancun area where we lived in Puerto Morales. So we took off for San Miguel de Allende. That's how we ended up there. We just randomly picked a place that was dry and was known for expats. And we went there and lived there for a year, and now we are living in Puerto Escondido after we did a whole tour of the country because we were heading to Guatemala, and we ended up the night before going to Guatemala, we're like, no, we don't want to go to Guatemala. You know, we want to start because it was a lot of the food poisoning really fucked us up, and it was just a lot, it was a lot traveling, packing up. So you have like a month and a half of just packing, packing, packing, storage, storage, and then coming up with a routine or not routine, uh path to travel, and then finding Airbnbs. Like it was every single day focused on traveling, finding Airbnbs, finding the route that we wanted to go, switching it up three times until we found a good route. Um, losing money because we pay for the other route, Airbnbs, and then we didn't realize there's the no refund type of fucking places and got us. Airbnb sucks, anyways. It always fucking sucks. It's it's not good for the consumer at all. It's only good for the people who are fucking renting. And then they add so much additional prices and cost for no fucking reason. And in Mexico, it's it's the worst because in Mexico you can get really good deals on houses, but you kind of have to go through Facebook Marketplace and WhatsApp groups and all of that. You go on Airbnb, they're just gonna try to charge you like you're American, and that I mean that's what they're going for, right? The expats like us. And so traveling on that kind of route kind of sucked because we had to use Airbnb. It was the best uh for that, but you lose money doing it that way, anyways. I um got my first morning routine in in over two months. I feel better, I feel happier. I felt more grounded when my kids woke up. Uh, I've my two-year-old's walking up right now with eggs, and I'm totally relaxed. That's why the morning routine is so important to me. Why I preach it to when I coach the other men, why I think it's the most important. Even the women that I coach, I tell them the same thing. Wake up a little bit earlier and just take care of yourself. Take care of you. And there's too many times that we're talking out uh when I'm coaching the warrior kids, and I need to teach them that sometimes you need to take care of yourself first. Well, like most of the time, take care of yourself first because it's gonna benefit everyone else. So if you want to be selfless and take care of people, that's great. That's me. But when I don't take care of myself first, I realize I'm more short-tempered, I'm not grounded, I feel dysregulated throughout the day. So when I take care of myself first, I feel grounded, I feel regulated, I feel like the leader that my family deserves. So I hope you out there are feeling the same. And remember, it's okay to fall off the path. I was just off for two and a half months. I probably gained about eight pounds, and my belly's looking it. I'm still at the beach every day, I'm still tan. Um you know, there's work to do. There's always work to do though. So remember, don't be too hard on yourself because two days ago I was just thinking the same thing. It's like, man, what a fat piece of shit. I can't believe you let yourself get the fuck out of shape like this. When May, I was looking awesome. My abs were all coming back in. I was losing the love handles, and because I'm short, so I have love handles, and it's like the hardest thing in the world to get rid of. And so um, I just fell off the bandwagon quick in a hurry because packing became priority, moving became a priority, and then like your life's chaotic because everything's like all the shit you own is in storage and not around you. Your kids can't be on the regular routine, and then when you're moving, it's it's it's a lot of chaos, and a lot of people don't want to talk about that. They're all showing these fucking pictures, everything's perfect, I'm an influencer, I get to fucking go travel for free. It's not like that, man. Like, most people don't live that. Those people are fucking like 1%, and it's hard. I have 150, 160,000 followers now, and I reach out to places saying, hey, I'll come do some content for you for marketing purposes to trade, and they still don't want to do it. So it could be my page because I speak out on a lot of uh subjects, but nonetheless, it's okay to go through the difficult times. You have to go through the difficult times, you have to go through the challenging times. That's where the growth's at. The only way we grow is through the difficult times. You don't grow in comfort zones, you don't grow staying complacent, you don't grow by living in the same fucking house for 50 years. I'm sorry. That's the truth. And a lot of people don't want to talk about that. A lot of people don't want to talk about how they are so comfortable in the same house that they've been living in for 20, 30, 40, 50 years, that they actually never grew in those 30, 40, 50 years. They just relive the same six months over and over and over and over. And that's how you get to the point where you see your elderlies, your grandparents, and you're just like, you have nothing to offer me. I've outgrown you spiritually, physically, mentally, because you have you decided to stay put and not learn. And that's the problem when we stay put and don't grow, is a lot of times we're not putting the effort in even to learn while we're there. We're instead sticking to the same hobbies, the same people, even if those people aren't uplifting us. So it's time for us to start looking at our whole lives and seeing where we can actually change those little things. So if you can't move, which many can't, then you still are growing while you're there, changing up your friends, getting by people who are higher-level individuals who can lift you to the next thing, joining communities that are gonna lift you up and speak on things like this and have difficult conversations and say, hey, what the fuck? Wake up. We're not meant to just work for the man our whole lives and not live. These last four years have I have grown more in four years of being out of the military, being out of working for the man than I ever have. Have I struggled? Fuck yeah, there's been times where me and my wife watched the bank account go down to like five dollars and we scrape by and make the month barely. And those are high anxiety months. But you need to go through those struggles in order to have victories that are like you sit down on the beach, like right now. We we got the Puerto Escondido and we go to the beach, me and my sons and my wife and my dog, and we're just living. There's no plan. We just go to the beach. When we're hungry, we go to a restaurant, or we come home and cook food, or go to a market and get more food. There's no schedule, no plan. We're living attentionally with each other. So I know it's not easy for everyone to do that, and people will say that my family, oh, you guys are so privileged. We're not fucking privileged. We worked so hard to get this life, and we worked through so many different budgets and losing money and not being able to work for the man's sake because that became priority. My son became priority, my oldest. He became what do we want to teach him? Well, we want to teach him about leadership, we want to teach him real life skills, we want to teach him what life is about, how it can be hard, how it can, how you can struggle, but you can also push through the struggle and end up in a very positive manner and positive way in life through that struggle. It takes the struggle for you to end up with all the positives. And I'm not saying I took the easiest route. Me and my wife chose often the hardest routes. We went to Costa Rica with everything, and we thought this was gonna be the best, and it was horrible. And then all of our household goods were gonna get shipped down to Costa Rica. We had to stop it, and it was we could have just paused our household goods, we didn't know that. Then we traded in our camper van for an RV, and then we wanted the camper van back, and then we traveled all over into RV, had so much fun, but we wish we had the camper van, right? So there's so many things along the way to where you're like, I made the wrong move. But did you? Did you learn? Did you grow? Did you have fun in the process? Remember, even during the hard times, you can still laugh, smile, enjoy your life. Don't forget that. Because a lot of people get down in the dumps and they just that's it. But what happens to the subconscious is you let all the dumps and all the crap and all the negativity go into your consciousness, which feeds into your subconscious, which we know the subconscious runs 75% of our life. So what you're putting into your brain, into your mind, and the food you're eating, the music you're listening to, the shows you're watching, it all needs to be aligned to the future that you want. All right. So that's the metaphysical space, man. You know, when when you start stacking these wins and you get momentum on your side and you start feeling good, and you're like, wow, this feels good. That's universal momentum. That's the metaphysical world saying you're in the right vibe. This is what you can feel all the time. And when you lose it, it's like, that was me. I lost it in May, right? Or beginning of June. And it was just like, fuck, my legs were swiped out from under me and I landed on my ass. Well, that's the universe saying, All right, time to get back up and let's see if you've learned enough. If you can get back into the momentum swing faster, and each time you do. Every time you land on your ass, you get back into that momentum a little bit quicker, a little bit happier. I'll tell you, there's nothing more enjoyable in life than living every single day how you want, when you want. Being with your kids, being with your wife, being with your dog, being with your family. There's nothing more enjoyable. I would do it all again for the exact same outcome. That's how I know I'm rich. All right. And remember, when you're out there and you're reacting to things, those reactions also go into our subconscious. So let's slow it down instead of reacting. You know what I taught the kids in their kid club this week? Stop, breathe, respond. Let's stop reacting and start responding. Because when you stub your toe and you grab it, you're like, ah, this whole fucking day is ruined. I have my toe's broken. Well, maybe take a breath first, stop, and be like, man, I was walking too fast. Man, I'm alright. It's just a stub toe. Keep on moving, right? And the pain's gonna hurt, that's okay. But don't let it ruin your whole day. Don't let little things stack up to hurt you and ruin your day. Instead, control them with a positive response and not a negative reaction. All right. So, guys, gals, thank you for listening. Dad's Against the Narrative Community is now open. Uh, if you'd like to get in there, just go to school or go into my Instagram, Natural Born Dad, and check out my links, or comment below and I'll send it. Uh, actually, I'll post it in the show notes right here, guys. That'll make it easier for you. Uh, come check it out. And thanks for being here today. I hope you learned something and or just were entertained by the story that I gave you of our travels and all the ups and downs. And man, and I'll tell you what that food poisoning, those two weeks were fucking miserable. Miserable. We just got to San Cristobal. We had five days there that we just loved it. We were hiking, they had this beautiful jujitsu studio. My son was loving it. Um, they had this awesome playground, both kids were loving it. We were playing soccer, and then food poisoning hit, and we did nothing except for watch a lot of TV and crap, lots of crap. That's not fun. So, uh, and our stomachs were really bad. So we weren't eating. My oldest, he's right here next to me. He didn't eat for like 72 hours, neither did I. And then we fasted intermittently within like those two weeks, too, because we just couldn't get food down. Anyways, we're out of that process, luckily. Um, and we're on to the higher road. But I told a lot of people when that was happening that maybe it's just God purging us for what he's about to give us next. So, even in the worst of it, I was just like, I was seeing the positive, you know, I kept putting that into my mind and praying on it and thanking God for putting me in the hard position to still be a leader, to make decisions for my family, and to rise to the top, to still be our best version, even in the worst times. And that's hard to do. That's good character. And what there's a lot of people out there whose character changes in a heartbeat of fucking stress, and that's not what we want. We need to get back to being good characters, lifestyle. I don't know how you even say that. Like, just have a good character. We just a lot of people don't have it anymore. Their character goes out the window in the middle of the first little thing of stress, and that shows their true selves. So the only way to build that is through tough times and resilience and bouncing back. So that's why I always put my six-year-old into hard positions and make him do tough things because that's teaching him resilience and to bounce back faster. Even if you don't see it right away, continue. Consistency is the most important thing in parenting. Believe me, the consistency pays off. You may not see it for two, three years, but when it shows up, it's the best reward ever. Anyways, I hope you guys have a great day out there and a great week. Let's get after it. Stay positive. Get on that morning routine, comment below and let me know what your morning routine is. What works for you. I told you mine, mine's pretty simple, and it's the thing that keeps me flowing easy throughout the day and staying positive. Stay positive out there. Let's get after it. Remember, you don't need to listen to the governments, you don't need to listen to the schools, you don't need to listen to anyone. You make the rules that align with the values of your house. And then set the standard, be the standard. Let's get after it. Peace out.
