This 1949 Dragnet episode showcases one of the most elaborate police operations in Los Angeles history as Sergeants Joe Friday and Ben Romero hunt a serial attacker who terrorized the city's women. Eighteen victims beaten and robbed. The newspapers dubbed him "the werewolf." This authentic case demonstrates the dangerous work of detectives who used innovative tactics including police women as decoys and a coordinated 65-car dragnet spanning 40 square miles to corner a violent predator.
