Won some beat some playoff teams, lost some playoff teams, lost all the rivalry games, blow it out and all of them. I mean, it was just it was just one of those years, man. Like, we didn't have a good year. You know what I mean? The portal opened now, though. I just gotta get one out the portal then.

Some stuff happened at wrong times, like kids missing games at the wrong times. And we just couldn't, we couldn't, once that train fell off that track. Boy, it's hard to hard to get back on that track.

And so, like, that's why you have to like kind of you know tip your hat to Coach Trav, man, because his team wasn't the building. Super surprised because we had a bumpy start in the beginning, man. We, you know, we sat some people down, and you know, and I didn't even realize until the other day, we lost our first three out of five games.

Yeah, we jumped out there, we lost, because we went up and played Wakava, they beat our face in, and and then I and then I want to say, like, I like I think we talked about this before. That might have been a turning point of the game. Like, you know, after we beat, after we lost, turning point of the season, actually, after we lost to Wakava, and we realized that, man, we lost to them about like, I think 1921 or something like that. And when we lost to him, we was like, man, like if we'd had our our two top scores, but we might have would have, we they probably would have still beat us, but it probably would have been 12 or something.

And just the stuff y'all accomplished this year was was good for y'all since you're my dog. I give you a shit.

I ain't gonna really put too much into it. But it was definitely us because we had good teams, good kids, coach. And we beat good teams. We was in games like couldn't get the coach.

Listen, for me, my surprise team, and it's gonna be funny to you, was believe it or not, was Pine Ridge. Because Coach, he was out there playing monsters. Yeah. And and most teams that played the schedule that they played, Coach, they played the villagers, they played Andrew Jackson. Like, Coach, they was really out. They played they played Central Florida Christian. These are teams that were right there in the final four, like almost to the state championship game. So they played some killers and then for that. And you know, for for like all the young guys he had, that should have killed their confidence. They should have been done. Because Coach was getting they was getting the hands put on them, but like if for him to be able to rally those guys and have those guys won the game away from the Final Four, and it lost about 11 or 12 in the game on the road.

I'm gonna tell you why I was disappointed, because they had everything. They can shoot it, um they had athletes, they had size, they had um they had a big guy who was very good. Um they had it like you like they had guards, they had wiry for like, but that 6'8 is a whole different kind of kind of monster out there with Evans and all them boys. But check it out though. They beat they beat Oak Ridge, they beat teams that were in the dance down there. Okay, all right. That's why I was surprising for me, man, because I'm like, you know, because remember in our last podcast when we had Henry and Travis on, or maybe it was just me and you, I said that mainland was gonna be the last team standing.

Like, they were good enough to go eight, nine, and not have a real big heavy drop-off. So it was surprising for me, man. And um, I just think that it's just it's in order for you to keep that ball bouncing these days, because you gotta have some luck in there, man.

They were good, but I'm I'm just thinking, I'm just just thinking about some of the games that I that I seen, like the Jackson game, they got they got bought out that game too. It probably was just bad luck. But when we played them, just like they they end up beating us, but the first half it wasn't. I was just like, I just didn't didn't I don't know. I don't know how to explain it. It kind of could have just been in the L. Coach they just lost, man. There was a one seed, but I just when we I just like uh this game still supposed to be over.

You can have 40 girls, you put them in mixing the rec league, and before you know it, that next rec season, bro, only 15 of them came back. Now they're gonna go in.
