SPEAKER_00

Welcome to the Andy Meadows Show. We've got a good round table coming up where we'll discuss the shooting at the White House Correspondence Dinner, Our Vegas trip, Me Getting Pants at Target, Ridiculous Comedies, How Ancient Humans Slept, and more. But first, your headlines. It appeared as though we had a third assassination attempt on Trump last night, this time at the White House Correspondence Dinner. The vice president and president were rushed offstage while the shooter was apprehended. Luckily, no one was hurt, but it was still the most violent White House correspondence dinner since Obama brutally roasted a billionaire so harshly that he decided to take over our country. While as predicted, my Cowboys focused on defense to shore up the worst defense in NFL history. This week's NFL draft did feature a few surprises, including a QB going high in the first round, despite only starting a handful of games in college, and a few players with first round grades sliding for injury histories and other unknown reasons, creating those wonderfully uncomfortable moments where the ESPN cameras panned to a party full of bored and disappointed family members gathered around a large grown man trying not to cry. Girls' creator and lead actress Lena Dunham's tell-all book Fame Sick keeps revealing bombshells about how her good-looking, mysterious co-star might have wanted to screw her off-screen as well. Something no one else corroborates, by the way. But hey, I'm pro whatever helps you sell a book in 2026. Speaking of screwing, current MAV star and former four-time NBA champion with the Warriors, Clay Thompson, was publicly accused of cheating by musician Megan the Stallion, who he's been in a relationship with since last summer. She took to Instagram to say cheating, had me around your whole family playing house, got cold feet, now you don't know if you can be monogamous. I need a real break after this one, proving my long-held theory, you should never date a professional athlete, even one who's overrated because he played on the super team and is on the backside of his career. That was a little mean. Yeah, yeah, it takes me a while. I drink two days to recover from Vegas. What was your favorite and least favorite thing about the Vegas trip?

SPEAKER_01

Um, the walking. It was a lot of walking, which was my least favorite. Oh Fremont Street was fun. Dude, found out the last night. So Perry and I had been walking up and down the strip the whole time, and we keep seeing these little um autonomous taxi cabs called Zooks, Z-O-O-X. And this is a top tip. If you're headed to Vegas, the rides are free right now. We did not know that till the last day. And so it'll only pick you up and drop you off at certain locations, but it'll pick you up at like New York, New York, and drop you off at Resorts World. So it'll take us the whole way down the strip. It was so awesome. There's no stinky driver, nobody trying to make conversation with you. It's just four seats, and it just takes you down the you know me.

SPEAKER_00

I missed that because I'm a chatty Kathy. I like talking to all the cab drivers and Uber drivers because that's where I get my inside info.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, right. This is wild, dude. It had like a starlight ceiling, like in a Rolls-Royce, had music playing in there, and you could pick the music. And it was kind of like a little bit, right? It's kind of like Waymo, only it's not even a real car. They specifically built it. It kind of looks like a traveling elevator, you know, size-wise, and the doors open like that, and you hop in and you go. And since they're in beta, it's absolutely free right now. Wish I'd known.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, not for like C.

SPEAKER_01

But I probably honestly probably needed the exercise of walking.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I always forget to tell people about the Tesla loop, uh, which is if you're at the con if you're the at the Las Vegas Convention Center, it will take you there. It'll take you now to the Westgate and a couple other hotels. Like I I took it over to the Bellagio um to go to Circus Circus, and it's gonna go to the airport once they once they burrow a tunnel all the way to the airport. It's it's must thing, so they gotta they use that his burrowing speed.

SPEAKER_01

I guess he's got the money to burrow underground, but that seems expensive.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it seems crazy expensive. I've uh the driver told me how far, and I'm sure they're not gonna have how long it takes them to to to do it, and it doesn't take very long to to burrow a tunnel to the next one. But I'm sure they're not gonna have drivers very long. I'm sure it's gonna be a big thing. Oh, so it's still a dude in a car? It's still a dude, and it's kind of scary because it's super tight. I mean, it because they're burrowing underground, they burrow it basically just barely the size, a little bigger than the Tesla. Right. So it's like if the first time you take it, you're kind of like a little nervous because it feels like you're gonna hit the walls, but you don't.

SPEAKER_01

But also, I mean, a subway train goes underground and takes lots of people at once. What's the benefit of one car?

SPEAKER_00

Right. You can only get one car at a time the way they do it, and all the drivers get mad at the other drivers because they almost hit each other all the time. Like I had a couple times where, but I I think Teslas have a warning thing or something.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, I think it they talk to each other, I'm sure.

SPEAKER_00

But but no, it's not a super efficient way to get lots of people through. Like the only reason I I it n not a lot of people know about it. So when you go, it's still pretty quick to get through there. I never waited very long. Like there were times like the cat the line for a cab or an Uber at the convention center was like frickin' a mile long, and you're like, nah, I don't want to wait for that. But you hop over to that thing is super quick because I don't think any everybody knows about it. Is it free? No, it's cheap, but it's not free. It was free the first year they had it, but uh it's not that expensive. But it is kind of a cool way in a in a hot city like Vegas that you're underground, so it's not but yeah, how is it any different than a subway? Just give it away.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it's worse because lots of people can go on the ride on a subway. Yeah, why didn't you just build a Tesla little like longer car that had multiple seats in it?

SPEAKER_00

His original plan, and when they were doing it in California, but the you know, building anything there, you go through so many hoops, uh, they gave up on it, but was to do the high-speed rail underground.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

So basically that's like a like maglev kind of version of a subway.

SPEAKER_01

But instead. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I got pants that uh at Target last night.

SPEAKER_01

Really? Pantsing is a thing still?

SPEAKER_00

Not on purpose. I had the two kids with I had two of the three kids with me, and I accidentally wore shorts that I didn't realize were too loose on me. And I had you know, and when you go to the store, you'll have all this crap in your pocket.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So I'm using your pants as a purse.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so I had my phone, my keys, my wallet, all in these shorts, and I went to pick up Annie's actively running piecing out, and I'm trying to yell at her to stop, and I'm picking up Madeline to contain her in the in the in the cart, and my pants fall all the way down.

SPEAKER_01

Nice completely to the And you got kids in your hands, and so you're like, what do I do?

SPEAKER_00

I got one kid in my hands yelling at another kid, my pants are down around my ankles. Luckily, I was wearing boxers instead of like something even more embarrassing like tidy whitey's or a thong. Yeah, or you did could audibly hear people like I heard audibly heard a gasp or two, and at least one couple laughing. Because it had to look hilarious in their defense. Have you ever been pants? Sure. College, high school, yeah. Yeah, that was a thing. I was I I dunked a basketball one time in high school, just goofing around, and somebody pants me because they were I they were probably mad that I dunked on them or something. And uh it was kind of embarrassing. It's rude. That's sexual assault nowadays. I got a date out of it though. Because one girl was laughing and I was like, I walked up to her and I used that as an icebreaker. Oh what are your thoughts on the uh White House correspondence than our shooting?

SPEAKER_01

I have so many thoughts. Come on. Oh well, I mean, I'll I'll go with it happened at the Hilton, same place that Reagan got shot. Hinckley's been out. Hinckley's been out fully released, no conditions since 22. So my initial thought was, man, he's really trying to impress Jody Foster this time.

SPEAKER_00

Then you saw the video of how fast the guy ran, and you're like, that's not Hinckley.

SPEAKER_01

Like, how on how crazy would it be if he was like, all right, I got another shot at this?

SPEAKER_00

I didn't I didn't realize that was the same hotel. You're talking about 1981 when when Hinckley tried to shoot Reagan and the Brady Bill created that. Yeah. Yeah, he got Brady.

SPEAKER_01

And he was trying to impress Jody Foster. Yep. And yeah. Dallas. Do you know he was a Dallas guy?

SPEAKER_00

I think I did know that, but I I'm not sure. He's either from Dallas or his family's from Dallas or he moved back. I can't remember what the deal was.

SPEAKER_01

So you're saying he probably wasn't at the correspondent's dinner.

SPEAKER_00

But you know, full circle moment. But man, talk about premeditated. Because A, this is the first one Trump's been to.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's where my conspiracy theory hat comes on. Is like he really didn't want to do it. So he's like, Well, how can I get out of this? Oh, we'll stage an assassination.

SPEAKER_00

And he didn't like my my thought on the like the uh assassination attempt during the campaign that some people thought was was staged, because it did obviously help his poll numbers. Uh the I thought, okay, A, somebody got killed behind him, and the shooter got killed. So, I mean, that's a tall ask to say, hey, yeah, to hire somebody to do that. I can't imagine that one was staged. But this one, the guy didn't the shooter didn't get killed.

SPEAKER_01

Uh see, I I've been looking for information this morning, and for being a press dinner, there's very little seemed like out there at the time. It was like, Well, what are you guys not talking about? You're the press.

SPEAKER_00

No, part of it is like um the press has gotten a lot of crap about being wrong on this stuff because the initial reports are often wrong. Like the in the initial reports um were he had a shotgun, which he did have a shotgun, but he also had a pistol. Because you can't shoot. I mean, if you want to try to kill someone with a shotgun, you've got to get super close. There is no chance you're getting that close to the precedent at a White House correspondence center with all that security. So he also had a so this was very premeditated. Like the guy had a pistol, the guy had a shotgun, the guy took a train to get there because you can't fly with that stuff. So yeah. And he booked. So the weird thing about the White House correspondence center being it's at a hotel, right? You said it's at the Hilton. So you could also just stay at that hotel while while it's going. Like your average Joe can't go to that thing. Like if you're not a member of the press, you can't just buy a ticket to the White House. You may be if you're rich, super, super loaded, I'm sure.

SPEAKER_01

Well, Trump went to it before he was president and he wasn't a press member. So yeah, some people.

SPEAKER_00

He was friends with a lot of people in the press. I mean, and he's a billionaire. You could a billionaire could go to it for sure. But billionaires don't tend typically assassinate people themselves. You know. So that's what I'm saying. This guy planned this out quite a ways in advance because he he took a train, he brought his weapons, and he stayed at the hotel. So like it's pretty clear he was going for Trump. You wouldn't do all that to just go for a VP or someone Caitlin Collins at CNN. I mean, you wouldn't. It had to be. But you know, the press doesn't like to jump to conclusions because they get stuff wrong and then people make fun of them. So I mean, I I I don't think it was staged. I think it was just a a guy that wanted to wanted to take out the president and planned it way in advance. But they'll know because they've got they got him questioned him.

SPEAKER_01

And the the initial stories were like, oh, we're probably still gonna have the dinner. We'll just postpone it for a little bit, and you know, like I mean the food's made, so everybody cool?

SPEAKER_00

Let's let's get back to it. That would be my thing that I would be because you know I I'm I like to eat. I would be really annoyed that if if you hadn't been served your food yet, and you're like, oh, come on, man. They tackled the guy. Can we like can we just eat our food? Or can you package it? Can you wrap it up?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, give me a give me a go bag.

SPEAKER_00

So I heard some of the after parties still went on, but yeah, they canceled it. He said they were gonna reschedule it, but I bet you money they don't. What do you think? I think that they will.

SPEAKER_01

I think he'll make a deal out of it and they'll do it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because now it's uh it's it's gonna get a lot more in the press.

SPEAKER_01

It was already getting action because it was the first one he was gonna show up to as president.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know why he didn't like the so the thing that Obama did that pissed him off is the the comedian does the bits and roast everybody is the normal, I don't know if they probably changed it since he's been in there, but a comedian roasts everybody, including the president, a lot. And then the president gets their turn, just like a regular roast, to go up and the president tells some jokes. So I'm like, he he gets his time to and he and he closes show. I thought he would like that because he gets to get up and roast people.

SPEAKER_01

But people saying bad things about him to his face is not really a good he he doesn't have score. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, well, we got two top comments again to break the tie of. Ooh. Yeah. That means you've got two viewers. I know. And we're going back to YouTube's for this one. So this is uh when we were talking about anthropic's AI that they refuse to let the Pentagon use to kill someone without a human signing off on it. Remember? Right.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, vaguely.

SPEAKER_00

So Envious Mods says that's not entirely accurate. I read the report from Anthropic, and much of what people are saying about it is not accurate or true. Surprise, surprise that we would do that. It's not like it can hack anything that's that's not how it works. It just does it different in a different way, and yes, it's more capable, but not unstoppable. Also, the common message about it is not even accurate, propagating whatever. Blah blah blah. That was his main point. And the other one's that's a lot of words. I know who writes that long a comment. I'm like a sentence tops. Uh, and then Michael Falcon-G3F said, I really don't give a S who kills, what's the difference? A flawed human or a flawed AI. That's a odd tank. The opponent is still dead. It's like saying shooting is bad, the bullet killed the enemy. We're against that. Fight with your bare hands, really.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I would like to see wars with bare hands. That would be I'm on board for that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but I mean, the the the whole what's the difference, a flawed human or a flawed AI, I would I would much rather a human sign off on killing somebody.

SPEAKER_01

Mainly because one human probably can't kill a whole bunch of people, whereas one AI can kill everybody. Right, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But out of the two of those, which one gets the top comment? Oh, the flawed guy, just because the other one had too many words. Yeah, I agree. Too long. Other than that, plus I like that. Keep your comments short. I like that you took a hard take, even though I totally disagree with your your hard take. Oh, I I want to reshare my screen again. So uh my my favorite thing about Vegas by far did not happen at the convention we attended. It happened on Fremont Street, and it is a twerking gorilla. Oh, yeah, yeah. Come on, how do I play that? There we go. I respect the hustle. That guy probably made a thousand bucks that night and tips.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, the ones I feel bad for are the showgirls that are always walking the strip trying to convince dudes to take pictures with them. I never see them getting pictures. Obviously, they're making money because they're standing out there in their skivvies all day. You wouldn't do that for nothing, but it always feels like, man, you know.

SPEAKER_00

So one of my Chatty Kathy uh cab driver conversations, uh, the guy told me that they're coming down harder on prostitution. So did you notice? I didn't really notice that I that there were less prostitutes running around because I didn't do that much outside the convention where I would have seen it. But used to, you would see them in a casino, especially if you sat down at a table by yourself and you're a guy. You would see them and you'd see them on Fremont Street, and I didn't notice any on Fremont Street.

SPEAKER_01

No, Fremont Street, I only got propositioned by dudes, but maybe that's like Leslie.

SPEAKER_00

I wonder if it was the same guy. Yeah, so I wonder if they're making a because you know what the weird thing about Vegas is it's always been it's legal in Nevada, so everybody thinks it's legal in Vegas until they go there, and then it's like, no, it's not legal in Vegas. It was just kind of like nobody did anything about it for a long time.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And you think they're actually doing stuff about it in the city now? I'm just telling you what the cab driver said. I don't. I'm not an expert on Las Vegas prostitutes.

SPEAKER_01

But you're like, all right, this time I should probably skip it.

SPEAKER_00

What are your top five ridiculous comedies of all time?

SPEAKER_01

Top five ridiculous comedies of what you can't ask me questions like this on the fly because I'm just gonna go big ones.

SPEAKER_00

Here, I'll give you mine so while you think about it. So reverse order, five to one. Dodgeball, airplane, basketball, history of the world, part two, space balls, number one. Spaceballs is a good one.

SPEAKER_01

Ones you left off, Hotshots. Hot shots was good, man. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

All the naked gun movies. Oh, naked gun. Yeah, especially the first one. Which one had OJ in it? I think the first one. I think he was in the first one or two, because it was prior to by the time they filmed like the third one.

SPEAKER_01

Clearly it was prior to. You don't think they'd be like, Do you think hey, you got off. You want to be back in the movie.

SPEAKER_00

You think that was a conversation the uh Hollywood execs had? Do you think we can still put him in? I mean, he was pretty good in that part. Okay, so the ones I missed were Hotshots, the naked gun. Hot shots, naked gun. What else?

SPEAKER_02

Hmm.

SPEAKER_00

Like the screwball comedies. Blazing saddles. Blazing saddles. Yeah. Yeah. That was one I thought about because I'm a big uh what's his name, Mel Brooks fan. Yeah. So Spaceballs.

SPEAKER_01

Spaceballs 2, the search for more money is coming out soon. I know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And there's almost too many of his to include. Tropic Thunder? Which one? Tropic Thunder. Tropic Thunder. That's the more modern one. Yes. The last movie to get away with blackface. Right?

SPEAKER_01

And no, like Robert Downey Jr. still walking around, still Iron Man. It's fine.

SPEAKER_00

Well, because uh I've never heard a black person complain about that movie. They all think it's hilarious. Yeah. Well, because a lot of- You better land it. If you do blackface, you better land the joke. What were you gonna say?

SPEAKER_01

Oh I was saying a lot of the outrage from that kind of stuff comes from other people.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Almost always. Um, so tell me if you in keeping with my theme of talking too much to uh cab drivers, newer drivers, tell me if you think this is right. I had a source that may or may not have been driving me around. How many cab rides did you take? I was I was a I was complaining about the bag fees that I paid, because I pay I had to pay like $195 in bag fees one way and a hundred dollars on the way back, and then $195 in parking at DFW Airport for a week. So the fees are just insane now. So I was complaining about that, and uh somehow we got on to the war in Iran, and I made a joke about well, thanks to Trump and not Netanyahu deciding to bomb Iran and not realize the Strait of Hormuz would get closed immediately. The guy said they knew it was going to be closed the whole time. And I was like, What do you mean? He's like, I spent 30 years of my life in Ethiopia and they knew the Strait of Hormoose would get closed. That's why they did it. I was like, why in the world would they do that? And he goes, Because they want a pipeline A, because they would make a lot of money when the price of oil went up, which is true. And B, he said they want a pipeline from Iran. To Israel. And after this is all done, since they basically baited them into closing the Strait of Hormuz, now they can argue that we need a pipeline to go straight to Israel from Iran. And I was like, okay, there's no way that's true. And then I got home and I started looking. There was a secret pipeline back in the day between Israel and Iran that the two countries worked on in private. Like they didn't let anybody know because Israel didn't want people to know they were working with Iran. Iran didn't want people to know they were working with Israel. But it was it's actually under there, it's not usable anymore. But what do you think of this guy's theory?

SPEAKER_01

You think it's I've never never heard that theory, but um it it you would think that somebody would have known beforehand, yeah, this is gonna happen. That's the thing. It's like do you there's consequences to actions. You don't think they played them all out? Or was he just like, yeah, sure. Netanyahu called, I gotta drop some bums, so let's press the button.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, which is kind of how it seemed at the beginning, like he got like the wool pulled over his eyes by Netanyahu and talked into doing it. But maybe they knew all along that it was gonna get closed, and maybe that's uh may oh you know, when we'll know is if they if they come out later and they say, Hey, by the way, we just thought of this great idea to build a pipeline between through and go, that guy was right.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and if he bought oil futures beforehand, maybe that was also a thing and puts out there on the airlines. I mean by the way, you're talking about airline fees, dude. Just get the airline credit card. It'll save you that money.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I know, but then it's like I like having the freedom to choose whichever airline I want. Although I flew on Frontier and didn't know they didn't have Wi-Fi. Good God. Have you ever taken a flight without Wi-Fi in recent history? I never used the Wi-Fi. Oh, I always use the Wi-Fi because I never think to download something ahead of time.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, well, I'm I mainly fly Alaska and they have the in-flight Wi-Fi that you can buy, but then they also have the Wi-Fi and they have all the movies and TV shows you can watch while you're sitting there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That's what Southwest does that, but you have to pay for it unless you're a T-Mobile.

SPEAKER_01

Man, Southwest has really gone downhill.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think it's that bad. Like everybody complains ever since they had the 2,000 flights canceled on a day, people complain about it. But for as far as budget carriers go, like it's way better than spirit, and it's it's better than Frontier for sure.

SPEAKER_01

But they used to be like gold standard, like never had an incident, and you know, everybody loves Southwest, and then now they're kind of in the same conversation as jet blue.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you know what happened is they never upgraded their infrastructure. So they were still doing things on like I've talked to people that worked there. They they were still doing things like handwritten that that years after you should be doing that. I mean, they they did they had quite a kind of antiquated stuff, and then they had that big issue, and now they probably upgraded some of it.

SPEAKER_01

Right. I well, I think the issue might have been from them trying to upgrade stuff. Like if they had kept doing it the old way, they probably would have been fine. But they got some new software in, and they're like, okay, now we're going to assign seats. And yeah, before they were just the bus of the sky. You showed up, whoever's first in line gets their pick, you know. And that was probably easier from uh, okay, this is just the manifest of people on the flight. Let them fight it out or where they get to sit.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. The uh um oh, did you know that we sleep? Did you know all humans used to sleep in two phases? Oh, I've heard this like first sleep, second sleep thing. Yeah, you've heard of first sleep, second sleep. I'd never heard of that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think their theory was because there was no artificial light. Correct. The only thing you really had was fire or candlelight, maybe an oil lamp. So people would go to bed with the sun and then wake up in the middle of the night and hang out for a little while, have a dinner, and then go back to bed till the sun comes back up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's basically most people did they still got their eight hours, but they do like four hours, and then in in the medieval times, they called it the watch. So there's like a two-hour block in the middle where people you did that just what you said. You either went over and hung out with friends, you hooked up with your lady friend, you you know, read a book, you did whatever, and then you would go back to sleep for four more hours. So it just elongated the night. But the uh that's how I wish I that's how I'm supposed to sleep, I think. I think that's why I have sleep issues because I almost always sleep kind of that way. So I think I'm just an old soul that's like so. Maybe cancel the electricity at the house, and then you'll be forced to. Well, you know, I had a doctor tell me one time your bed is for two things sleeping, and the other thing we all like to do in our bed. But he he said get the he said no, unless you're Amber Heard. He said, He said get the uh TV out of your bedroom. Do not have a TV in your bedroom, which I haven't been able to do that. I still have a TV in the bedroom, but I try not to watch too much TV before going to bed because it's a big screen of light. And a lot of people fall asleep to the T do you fall asleep to the TV in bed? No. Yeah, that's not good to do. I usually read myself to sleep. That's a good way to do it. Okay, so our anonymous question. John in West Virginia asked, I just found out my wife is a speakerphone in public person. Am I in the wrong to think this might be a deal breaker? I mean, wife?

SPEAKER_01

No, wife is not a this is not a divorce. Girlfriend, yeah, we'd have a conversation about deal breaking. So I wouldn't say you should get divorced. This is not an irreconcilable differences thing. Just get her some AirPods, dude. If she can't hold the phone up to her head, get her an AirPod to stick in her ear. But yes, speaker phone in public is really damn annoying. I'm a speakerphone in my house or my office, whatever. I never used that. But if I'm in public, I'm not on speakerphone.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I totally agree. I disagree with you, though. I don't care unless you have children. But if you're married to someone and you find out because but I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_01

For better or worse, till death do its part, unless you're on a speakerphone in public.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe because I had a traumatic experience with this girl I was dating, that we were at a show at Robert Earl Keane at the Bass Hall in Fort Worth, which the Bass Hall was built for acoustics, right? Yeah. So it's one of those places that Robert Earl would come out and do an encore where nobody plugged in and he didn't have a microphone, and it was just to show how awesome that theater is that you can, if everybody hushes up, you can play with no uh nothing plugged in, no electricity, and still hear everything perfectly throughout the whole venue. During that part of the show, my girlfriend got and took a call on speakerphone. Everyone in the theater heard it, and I'm just like embarrassed as can be and raging. I was so mad. And afterwards we got in this huge fight. I'm like, how could you do that? And I and we didn't last at all. Well, clearly. Yeah, so my my thing is I I mean, I was dating that girl. How would you marry someone and not know that they were a because to me, speaker phone in public consistently is a POS type behavior.

SPEAKER_01

That's that's what's what's gotten worse is that FaceTime is always a speaker thing. You can't do FaceTime unless you got AirPods in or something. Yeah, but you can choose. So people are FaceTiming me in public, and I'm like, I'm in public, you know. But it's if it's family FaceTime you, you're not gonna be a jerk about it. That's the only time. But even if I'm in public, I try to like go off to the side somewhere and go, hey man, I'm doing this right now, I'll call you back, kind of thing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you have a good point. If it if it was FaceTime, maybe that's not but see what I do when I get a FaceTime call in public is I either a just ignore it and call them back when I'm not in public, or do what you said. I take it and quickly walk over to the side and say to them, Hey, I can't talk, I can't do a FaceTime right now, I'm out in the middle. Because I also don't want some of my friends that FaceTime are gonna say something wholly inappropriate that I don't want to be like you know, if I'm in a bus or a train or something, uh I don't want them getting on and saying friend FaceTime is an aggressive move.

SPEAKER_01

Family FaceTime you get, but when just somebody one of your acquaintances FaceTime and you're like, uh really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that is true. That is a weird thing. It better be family with their if they're FaceTiming, but anyway. Oh, hey, do you have any recs or rants? Oh, I do plug in my tune. So the algorithm thinks I get more play than I do. What? Do you have any recs?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So running point on Netflix. I don't know if you've seen it. The um disagree. Disagree? What? No, dude, it's good. Keep going. It's good. So I did not watch it when it was one season, but they just released season number two. While I was in Vegas, Stacy said, Hey, I've been to this in a day. You should watch it and catch up. And we'll dude, it was awesome. Kate Hudson. So the basketball team, what do you what are you hating on this?

SPEAKER_00

I'm a sports guy. I love Kate Hudson. She's uh I'm a big fan of uh Kate Hudson. Yeah, got one of the best backsides in Hollywood. But the so I tried to watch season one and I thought it was terrible. I only got like because Jason or somebody had recommended it, so I tried to watch it and I got like an episode in, and I'm like, this is so so cheesy, so stupid. But I that was season one. So maybe they ironed it down.

SPEAKER_01

I rarely nowadays on Netflix, I I don't get into season one because they've canceled too many shows I was in the middle of. And I'm like, come on. Like the the one with Jeff Goldblum playing Zeus, awesome show. And then right as it ended, they're like, All right, that's it, we canceled it. Like, what?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's the worst, especially when they're like halfway through the story arc and they give you the teaser at the end of the season, and you're like, oh man.

SPEAKER_01

Netflix, you are sitting on like 25 billion in cash. You can re-up some of these shows.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. You gotta write them a sternly worded letter. I gotta uh so I'll try it. I'll try season two or at least one episode. Because you recommended the Burt one, right? Is that you that recommended that? That was good. I couldn't get the wife into it, but I thought it was good. Uh free bird or whatever it's called. Uh I have an anti-reck. It's a rant in your wrecks and rants thing. That's not an anti-reck rant. Yeah. Don't try and watch one battle after another on a plane. Ooh. I did not I knew it had violence in it. I didn't know it had all the naughty stuff. And I and uh it was free, you know, because I'd already paid for the Wi-Fi. So I was like, ooh, I'll watch one battle after another. Because I didn't think Jill would like that one anyway. And uh write a lot of sex stuff, like very and kind of creepy sex stuff, very early and every like couple minutes. And so I kept having to hit the thing, like, I don't want people saying, is this guy watching a porn over here? The over-the-shoulder people.

SPEAKER_01

If they offer it on the flight, then you're like, not on me. I've I've started things on a flight, and it's like this has mature content. Please be considerate of people around like, then why are you putting it on here?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm like, leave that one off the thing, because uh yeah, I mean it's definitely not one you watch with the kiddos around, but I knew that because of the violence, but I didn't think there would be. It seemed like a good movie, so I'm not anti-recomming that. I'm just saying don't watch it on a frickin' plane. But have you seen that movie? I have, yeah. It's pretty long. I'm surprised you could get through it on a flight. I didn't get through it. I I gave up. I head forward a couple times. Because the Sean Penn character, when he has the erection out of nowhere, what's that about?

SPEAKER_01

Well, you have to watch and see. He he is certainly uh yeah, he that that character is definitely uh the out there one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because I like uh I like Leonardo DiCaprio, I like almost everything he's in.

SPEAKER_01

So you didn't really get into the Christmas clan guys?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I didn't get that far. I'm gonna watch it, but I'm gonna watch it just Jill and I know. In private, yeah. Yeah. Not publicly on a plane.

SPEAKER_01

You're gonna set up a backyard theater or front yard theater and display it on the house.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's like when you uh watch a movie with your parents not realizing that it's got all the naughty stuff in it, and you're five minutes in, and you're like, oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, when you're like Family Christmas and you're like, oh, I remember Love Actually was pretty good. We should put this on for Family Christmas.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, lots of surprise nudity in that. Uh so that's it for today's show. We'll be back next week. When this time is wrong, I keep forgetting to change it.
