SPEAKER_01

Welcome to the Andy Meadows Show. We've got a good round table coming up where we'll discuss the Netflix is a joke festival, Alien Crashes, the He-Man movie, Trump and China, 90 stars on OnlyFans, and more. But first, your headlines. This week the Trump DOJ settled a lawsuit from Trump over a leak of a small portion of his tax returns. The settlement creates a $1.7 billion taxpayer-funded slush fund that Trump can't personally use, but his family, friends, and his businesses can. It's the most blatant form of U.S. presidential corruption since a sitting president tried to overturn an election he lost to stay in power by getting his dumbest supporters to storm the Capitol. Ah, those were the years. We were so naive. College students across the country graduated this week, but many are concerned about entering the workforce. According to a new poll, just 43% view their job prospects favorably, down from 75% in 2022. Bad news for college grads, or as I call them, baristas. NFL QB and ayahuasca enthusiast Aaron Rodgers has agreed to terms with the Pittsburgh Steelers to spend another year under center in hopes of getting new Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy fired by another NFL team. A new report found that Israel spent a year building a secret base in Iraq ahead of the attack on Iran, showing how long they prepared for the war. Our country, on the other hand, decided to go to war after our president got a 2 a.m. You up for war with Iran text from BB Netanyahu and responded with a thumbs up emoji. By the way, if you want to weigh in on anything we talk about, comment on whichever platform you're watching this or head to andymeadowshow.com to record your audio. Either way, we're likely to include your thoughts in an upcoming episode. Joining me on the round table, a man who couldn't record an F with me last week because he was too busy enjoying the world's biggest comedy festival. My brother Chris Meadows. Hey!

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I was traveling and then extra busy at work, so sadly enough, you gave me the news today. That's all I've got, is whatever you just told me about the headline. Well, that and the fact that uh gas up here is now five and a half a gallon. So things can't be going that great. I wonder if I wonder if there's dumb enough, you know, like you were talking about the guys that stormed the Capitol. I wonder if they're dumb enough guys that like, how is Trump doing this? I used to be able to only hold $60 a gas. Now I can hold $120.

SPEAKER_01

Probably. We got called liberal snowflakes in the comments uh on a couple of the clips last time.

SPEAKER_02

Wow, snowflakes, nice.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I didn't know it was a snowflake. Uh kind of kind of proud. Um, so how was the comedy festival?

SPEAKER_02

The comedy festival was amazing. It was awesome. We saw a bunch of acts in one night. It was the it was a benefit concert. So there was like they would do a set and then they would do a spiel, or they would show a video or something like that. So but between it all, we saw man, Matt Reif, Ali Wong, Nikki Glazer, Bill Burr, dang, John Mullaney, Lee Ann Morgan. She's funny, and Adam Sandler closed the thing out. Kevin Nealan was there, Conan O'Brien, uh man, Steve Carell. They weren't cheap, but it was a benefit thing. So yeah, yeah. And we were in some of the better seats. Stacey, we've we went to one show at the Hollywood Bowl, which was Imagine Dragons about a year ago, maybe a little more, and she found out she loves this venue. It's got these little boxes that are like halfway up where you're in a private box. It's all outdoors, but you have your own little space, and so she digs those.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So you should pay a little more. But yeah, it was an awesome, it was it was cool to see that many people in one night. And Bill Barr still got it.

SPEAKER_01

I know he was getting a lot of flack for the uh Saudi Arabia thing, but yeah, but his his uh I mean, he's definitely man, he's the best one doing it. The uh um did you see any up-and-coming comics that you hadn't seen before?

SPEAKER_02

No, um, it was all big names, although I don't think I had seen Ron Funch's do stand-up before. And he was very good. It was a benefit for autism, and he got diagnosed with autism later in life, and so he was doing a real good bit about that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I didn't know he had autism, but I I like him a lot. I think he's really freaking funny. Well, we had just as much fun hanging out here, you know, at home with the wife.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm sure the kids. Oh, here's a top tip. If you do go to California, fly into Burbank. It's you know, ten minutes away. It doesn't save you any money, it saves you a whole lot of headache. Because LAX is so huge, and Burbank Airport's like 10 gates. Yeah, so you're in and out.

SPEAKER_01

LAX is frickin' terrible too. Yeah. I mean, it's always crazy packed, and and everybody's nobody's got time for anybody.

SPEAKER_02

It's just like well, and if you're doing a layover there, it's so far between one terminal and the other, and they're all like underground hallways that you're just walking through.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And I maybe there's a bus, but I haven't found it yet. So I'm always just walking through these miles of hallways.

SPEAKER_01

Do you eat any good food while you're out there?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there's an awesome place called uh Ca del Sol, I think is how you'd say it. It's an Italian restaurant where they make their stuff fresh. And we stumbled on it one time when we were there because we were standing at an Airbnb like right across the street. And now every time stays good, we gotta hit it up. So yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'm part, I mean, I'm partial to Texas cuisine, obviously. And I think Texas has some of the best food in certain categories, but California's got amazing food. That's one thing every time I go there, I'm like, the food here is freaking awesome.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there we we always go to the Peterson Auto Museum because I love the cars there, and they have a little cafe in the bottom of it that's amazing. It's like just great food, and you're like, why would this be at the car meeting? But it is.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we had a pretty uneventful uh week here. I was joking. But the although we did have um Annie is now scared of the wind, which is a fun development. So she saw Jack got these balloons. We had a bunch of balloons for Jack's birthday. He turned one uh recently. And so there was she took some of them outside and the wind caught one of them and flew it away, and she was real sad about that. And I think she then and uh she then made the leap that wind can blow anything away. So now she's anytime it's windy outside, she's scared to death and comes running inside, and then she wants everyone else to come inside because she's scared we're gonna blow away, which is kind of cute, but also a little annoying.

SPEAKER_02

So you're gonna have to do some immersion therapy with like a leaf blower, or what's the I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

It's starting to wear off. It lasted for several days. Today was the first day, but it it wasn't very windy today. So next time it's it's windy will be.

SPEAKER_02

You'll have to see if that hangs around or if it just falls out the side of the head.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But the uh she did have a real funny line. I was putting her to bed and uh say the prayers, and she goes, God loves mommy, God loves daddy, God loves Madeline, God loves Annie. And I said, What about Jack? Does God love Jack? And she goes, Not yet. Well I get to know him a little better, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Jury's still out, God's still unsure on uh on Jack. So a uh lot of alien talk lately. Here's my one question with all the alien stuff in the news. If aliens are so advanced, why have they crashed so many times? You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

Well, I mean it you gotta go a long way, and by the time you get there, everything's old and the machines are I don't know, maybe that's how they land. You don't know. Maybe that's the design.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm just saying we all uh we all assume they're this super advanced, you know, so much further ahead of us. But why are they crashing all over the place?

SPEAKER_02

Because now they say that I like the theory that they're going into the ocean, you know, they're oh yeah, they're doing these deep into the ocean super fast. And so maybe when they crash, they just missed the ocean. The dude saw a lake and was like, oh, this is close enough, right? Oh no, no, can't do it on land.

SPEAKER_01

I guess every uh you know species has the dumber ones in it. But is that the guy? Well, I guess to Earth. You're like, yeah, send him over there. They're pretty far behind. We can send the video alien to Earth. But so now they're admitting that non-humans have been found in some of the crashed crafts. Uh do you think they look like Mars attacks aliens or Independence Day aliens?

SPEAKER_02

Ooh, I hope Mars attacks aliens. I know. Or maybe even E.T., you know, the Independence Day aliens scare the crap out of me.

SPEAKER_01

Will Smith's greatest line, welcome to Earth. Other than keep my wife's name out of your mouth.

SPEAKER_02

Kind of the same. It was it was the exact same sentiment.

SPEAKER_01

Kind of the same delivery, really.

SPEAKER_02

Except for he slapped instead of punched.

SPEAKER_01

That's true.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like he should have punched. If he was gonna if he was going all the way up there to do it, you don't slap. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And uh I the fact that he slapped let left it open to interpretation whether it was a bit. Because a lot of us Rikley, if he just cold cocked him. If he cold cocked him, then it's clearly not a bit. And he's such a he's so much bigger than than uh Chris Rock. I mean, he would have he could have lifted him. That would have been that would have been something. That would've ruined a career in a couple years 12 seconds. Uh so our top comment of the week Hold on, let me find it, comes from Tiki Talkie this time. Oh, I'm I'm still still having gotten on the TikTok. I guess I gotta And it wasn't the person uh calling us liberal snowflakes. This was although that's pretty good. I mean we're not, but the uh this is us talking about Trump's who uh who was the most ridiculous Trump appointee so far.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, and I say Patel, right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I still think Patel. I said Hexeth. I think more people agreed with me on Hexeth, although it was pretty split. There was a fair amount of uh cash patels in there because he keeps doing things. He went snorkeling at Pearl Harbor. Is that a true story? Did you see that one?

SPEAKER_02

I did not see, like I'm telling you, I haven't been on the news, but research that, so that may not be true, but that's could be AI a snorkel. I don't I don't think they allow that as far as I know. I mean, you they have snorkeling in Hawaii. But we lived right next to Pearl Harbor, and there were it's it's a sacred site, dude. They take you out there on the boat, it's very quiet, it's still bubbling up oil. I doubt they're gonna be like, go ahead and hop in, Cash Patel.

SPEAKER_01

Don't quote I just saw that in my feed. I didn't research whether it's true. But this person says it's JW 100322. Thanks, JW. Yeah, said no, the most ridiculous appointee that Trump has appointed is Trump's own son-in-law, Jared Kushner. He doesn't have any security clearance, but has access to everything in our government.

SPEAKER_02

I would uh And now 1.7 billion dollars of fund money.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, he's got a lot more than that. That's a lot of the grift has gone through Kushner. You know what I mean? So yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, was he like the Peace in the Middle East appointee? Was that what his thing was?

SPEAKER_01

That was his official thing in the first term? I can't remember. I mean, he's still doing some of that in the in in this term, but he has no I don't think he has an official so that one doesn't count to me because he's not really he's not really an appointee. You know, so not like Senate confirmed. To me, the what makes it really ridiculous is that some of these people have been confirmed and supposedly vetted. You know. Right. But I do agree with that comment that he's certainly silly and ridiculous.

SPEAKER_02

No, you're getting snowflaky again.

SPEAKER_01

By the way, there's a poll on AndyMadowsShow.com if you want to weigh in on who you think is the uh is the most ridiculous Trump appointee. I think the ones we got up there are Patel. I added one that was in the comments. Patel, Heggseth, Gnome, Pam Bondi. There's somebody else that got added from the comments.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like once they get uh resigned out, you gotta remove them from the poll. I don't think so. No.

SPEAKER_01

Because there's always there's so much shenanigans that are gonna come out after the fact. We'll find out things about people that were only in there for six months or a year for for quite some time. So I say they stay. Did you see there's a it's your show? Do you see there's a He-Man movie coming out? No. Who's this for? All of us that grew up with it are like 45 now.

SPEAKER_02

It's for us. Is it like a live action legitimate He-Man movie?

SPEAKER_01

It's live action, but which they've already done that a couple times.

SPEAKER_02

Is is John Cena He-Man?

SPEAKER_01

No, but that would have made perfect freaking sense.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Who's He-Man?

SPEAKER_01

It's some younger guy. Uh Johnson, the other one who could have done it is that dude from Reacher on Prime. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Did you see that video of him getting into a fight with his neighbor?

SPEAKER_01

What in the world is going through that neighbor's mind?

unknown

Right?

SPEAKER_02

Like they they the neighbor released just the little clip where Reacher eventually hit him. I'm calling him Reacher. I think his name's Richman. We're close. Anyway, yeah. Then the actor goes and releases all the footage where this neighbor kept jumping in front of his bike and eventually made him crash, and he was like, Dude, what are you doing? Come on. Do I really have to hit you? It's like I feel bad about this because I'm huge and you're not, but here.

SPEAKER_01

Did you so I know Rob and I were really into He-Man because uh it came on at 3 30 every day.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I remember being into the He-Man. We had all the toys and the Skeletor and the castle. Gray Skull is the coolest. Yeah. But I feel like that one didn't get as much longevity as some of the other toy-based or you know, like Transformers. Maybe they should have started a really high-quality He-Man franchise earlier, like when they did Transformers.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, He-Man kind of faded out. That's why I'm surprised they're making it, because I don't I don't think the kids nowadays know any anything He-Man, do they?

SPEAKER_02

Well, I mean, it w the the stuff probably still exists. You think they're not still playing the old He-Man cartoons, or you think they just threw them away?

SPEAKER_01

I don't I haven't seen any of that.

SPEAKER_02

Not that I go looking for them. I think maybe your kids are in the age too young for it. Like you're still in the Bluey and the Mrs. Rachel and Danny Go and all that stuff. Yeah, that's true.

SPEAKER_01

I wouldn't wouldn't be on my radar.

SPEAKER_02

So G.I. Joe and He-Man was kind of the same when they get to about seven, eight, right? Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, definitely. None of mine are old enough for for He-Man. What are the odds Trump gave China the go-ahead on a invading Taiwan while he was there this week?

SPEAKER_02

I say 50-50, you know. It depends it depends on what kind of mood he was in or whether they had just recently given him a gift that was gold plated.

SPEAKER_01

Well, you saw the big to-do when he landed. I mean, they had all the like a thousand people out, uh kids out there twirling and doing stuff.

SPEAKER_02

And I mean, it was like an opening ceremony for the Olympics kind of thing. Yeah, and I I had seen that a bunch of the tech billionaires went with him.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Elon was there. Uh the Boeing guy. He got a big deal for Boeing. Apple went, I think, and uh NVIDIA dude came. Tim Cook went, even though he's stepping down.

SPEAKER_02

I think uh Tim Cook is like in that transition phase, right? So maybe he's gonna work it out for the new guy, or maybe he's like, maybe the new guy shouldn't get the stench of this on him, so I'll go.

SPEAKER_01

That's probably what it is. I wonder if you can bet on Calci about Taiwan. I bet you can.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like betting on invasions is not a good even if you win. Do you really? Yeah, it's not. Definitely not. Woohoo! Murdered.

SPEAKER_01

But the uh uh I feel like he probably I think he probably did give them the go-ahead because I think he probably used that as a bargaining chip on Iran. You know, help us out and pressure Iran and I don't really care. But there is um Taiwan's a big deal because the semiconductors so that has like a massive impact if that ends up happening.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Taiwan has always been like the little status quo, don't touch it too much, because it's ready to spark a giant fire.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. But the fire's already gone. I mean, fire's fire's raging at this point. What are your thoughts on the 2000s actresses cashing in on OnlyFans? So it's get that money. Yeah. Denise Richards, Shannon Elizabeth, and now Jamie Presley. I mean My Name is Earl. Yeah, a bunch of stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Tons of movies. I mean, you would figure maybe she's she's probably getting residuals from My Name is Earl. I'm imagining that's still in syndication.

SPEAKER_01

Can't be a lot though.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I mean, I think what happened was one of them did it and made a million dollars in a week, and they were like, all right, well Well Denise's Denise Richards' daughter did it first and and probably raked in the money, and the and the mom was like and uh sure she's doing well, and then Shannon Elizabeth from American Pi Right got in it and she also did a killing.

SPEAKER_01

Did you see s uh so Sydney Sweeney's character in Euphoria starts in OnlyFans this season? I'm on record saying that Sydney Sweeney is mid, although no one agrees with me on that. And we get a ton of hate in the comments anytime I clip that and share it. She's got a uh quite a fan base. And you're not one of 'em. I think she's pretty. I just don't think she's as beautiful as everybody makes out. I think it's the assets that are um you know drawing the eye. One guy said, What does this guy's wife look like if he's making fun of Sydney Sweeney? I want to see her. So they went after Jill over it. That's messed up. The interweb. Leave her out of this. What would Sidney Sweeney make in a month if she started a Real OnlyFans?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it's gotta be $20 million. It's gotta be something stupid. You know, the the thing is that there's like 20 people on there making millions of dollars, and there's another 50,000 people just putting up videos of themselves doing stuff for 12 bucks a month. You know, it's like yeah, that's the part nobody talks about. And there is no like you have to go out and promote yourself. There's no mechanism for them to get promoted with the site itself. It's just like you sign up for it, and then you got to go out on your social media feeds and go, hey, come look at all these dirty pictures I put online.

SPEAKER_01

I know. That's the part nobody talks about is that you get the same, you get the same scarlet letter on your name, whether you make a bunch of money from it, or I mean, because all your friends and family are gonna see or gonna find out about it because you got to promote it on your socials and stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And there's a lot of people out there doing it making uh 50 bucks a month off of some creep that was. I mean, 50 bucks is fifty bucks. Guys and girls. This is not just women. There are men, there are plenty of men doing it.

SPEAKER_02

But yes, I say the people that are already have a high public profile, like the actresses, they're gonna make bank. Cash in.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's the deal. You gotta get famous for something else first, and then go do the OnlyFans. You can't Right.

SPEAKER_02

When this podcast takes off, I'm going online.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you can't start one now. That would be uh that would be embarrassing.

SPEAKER_02

I have like 200 friends on Facebook, so how much could I make off that?

SPEAKER_01

Do you think you'd make more or I would? Oof, tough to say. You got to do that.

SPEAKER_02

I think more people have already more people have already seen you. So the curiosity might be stronger with me.

SPEAKER_00

There's enough of Eddy out there.

SPEAKER_01

Did you know uh some people put squeeze butter in their salsa?

SPEAKER_02

I've seen that at the East Texas technology. X Max places.

SPEAKER_01

I know.

SPEAKER_02

That's that's where it's like it's the I can't believe it's not butter squeeze butter thing. It's not butter, it's margarine, probably, or something else.

SPEAKER_01

But that's that's sacrilegious to do that in Texas.

SPEAKER_02

I mean it's but somebody did it and went try this, and somebody else went, Oh, this is extra buttery. Let's do it. Clog these arteries up. Remember when we were kids, margarine, margarine was the thing. Like you were supposed to use margarine because butter was so bad for you. And now they're like, Oh, you gotta use butter because margarine's terrible for you. Margarine's got so much bad stuff in it, dude.

SPEAKER_01

It's terrible. Yeah, it's awful for you. And and I ate mar for years I ate margarine because I thought lower calorie, but it's got to be better for you. And then when you switch from that after years back to real butter, it's like, oh my god, butter is so amazing. Everything gets so much better when you put it.

SPEAKER_02

That's why every restaurant meal is better than what you used to cook at home because they just put a bunch of butter in everything.

SPEAKER_01

That's why when you look at the calorie counts, it's insane. But we start we use Irish butter now. Although it's carry gold. Yeah, carry gold. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

Once you once you do, you can't do anything else.

SPEAKER_01

I know, but it's like seven, seven dollars for a little thing of it now.

SPEAKER_02

Go to Costco. You get the four for 14.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. I haven't even noticed that at Costco. But man, if I owned a Mexican restaurant and people and I saw people putting squeeze butter in their salsa, I'm asking them to leave.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not sure. No, dude, you can't you can't do that at a Mexican restaurant. It's all the same thing meat, cheese, and a tortilla, so whatever else they want to do, up to them. You know, like Mamacitas. I loved that green sauce that was probably mostly sour cream with one avocado waved over the top of it for color. Or peas or something.

SPEAKER_01

Have you eaten Chewies when you're back in Texas? I don't think they have those in Alaska.

SPEAKER_02

Uh I had Chewies.

SPEAKER_01

I think there's one in Lafayette. Chewies has a green sauce or some kind of jalapeno cream, sour cream sauce. What I don't know what they call it, but it is it's as good as that mom's.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it's like the the crema sauce that's like crema and green.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Pretty good. Hey, I got a new business idea that thinks it's gonna make a ton of money. Don't wanna ask mywife.com. It's a website to answer men's questions so they don't have to keep bugging their wife with stupid questions. Uh but the problem is most of it's gonna be where is this? Do you know where this is? Again, we cannot answer where things are in your house. We have we don't have the technology for that.

SPEAKER_02

Well, that's what you need. You need to put a put a little uh camera in the house that figures out where everything is.

SPEAKER_01

For us to do that, we have to put cameras throughout your house. But we can make side money on that content, so we'll pay for the cameras. Maybe $12. No, but just like, honey, how long is chicken good for in the fridge? All the stupid things that we ask the women in our lives. But eventually your wife gets annoyed with that. So this would be a place for Ben to go to ask all our dumb questions.

SPEAKER_02

Not judgmental, no question is stupid, we will answer.

SPEAKER_01

Because it went from we went from like I would call mom about stuff, and then I got married, and now I asked Jill all those dumb questions. And she looks at me like, how do you not know this? You can't just pull off a little bit of the mold and still eat the rest of it? No, I don't do that.

SPEAKER_02

You can. It's probably fine.

SPEAKER_01

What did you think of the Epstein suicide note? I didn't see it. Oh, you didn't see it. It was short. D was it real? So this was from his pre this was from before. This wasn't the one that he didn't actually do at the end. This wasn't.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, so he wrote a suicide note when he tried he tried to kill himself before?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, allegedly. He tried to do it before, and he wrote a suicide note then. So uh it it was for that, but it was short, sweet. Kind of sounded like Bill Maher thinks it sounds a lot like Trump wrote it. But I mean they're pals, so maybe maybe they got the same uh writing style. But yeah, he didn't.

SPEAKER_02

Did he specifically say Donald didn't do anything in his note?

SPEAKER_01

It was all me. Donald had nothing to do with this. Yeah. You gotta you gotta see it. I would pull it up, but there's not much to it.

SPEAKER_02

But uh obviously it's fueling the I saw that they had deleted something like 65,000 files, and so that was a big story is that they deleted a bunch of files that they hadn't released yet. It's like, man, how many more wars do you gotta start?

SPEAKER_01

The uh time for our anonymous question. John in Kansas asked, got in trouble with the wifey for answering a question honestly. We were watching one of those disappearance documentaries on Netflix, and she asked how long she'd have to be missing before I would start dating again. I said, statistically, if you're not back in a year, the odds of you being alive are very low, so about a year. Am I in the wrong? Obviously, this pissed the wife off quite a bit. Is he in the wrong?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, he's in the wrong for saying that. 100%. You're in the wrong for saying it. You can think it all you want. You can think six weeks. Hell, you know. What do you think? Uh what do you think is a reasonable number though? The reasonable number is never until your body is found. I am never dating anyone. Ah, until the body's found.

SPEAKER_01

But I mean you go years and years.

SPEAKER_02

That's what that's the answer, dude. Whether it's true or not, that's the answer they want to hear.

SPEAKER_01

That's true. That's definitely the answer. Yeah, and whatever the real answer is, at the very least, tack another year on that. So if in your head you're like, I don't know, a year, then yeah, say two at a bare minimum. But you're probably right. I don't think anything.

SPEAKER_02

The answer is definitely once we know you're really dead, or once you contact me and say, I left. I need some sort of closure before I go into the next phase of my life.

SPEAKER_01

I got kids though. I'd probably start looking around after six months and then, you know, not.

SPEAKER_02

You're just trying to hook in and hook in a nanny, is that what you're saying?

SPEAKER_01

I don't I wouldn't I wouldn't act on anything until a calendar year was up, for sure, out of respect.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. But if Jill asked you this question, would that be your answer? No, absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

My answer would be two years minimum.

SPEAKER_02

Probably a decade. Once the kids are out of the house, I'll just spend my time with them and then.

SPEAKER_01

So do you got any wrecks and rants? Hold on, I gotta play the video.

SPEAKER_02

I gotta I got a rant. You gotta change that anonymous question intro. That thing creeps me out. I want you to put a poll up above that, whether everybody else thinks that's a good one. Um Rex. Um so yeah, I'm still on Apple TV this month. So I started the stick. It's Owen Wilson and Ted Lasso guy.

SPEAKER_01

Didn't the Ted Lasso guy direct that or somebody?

SPEAKER_02

I don't I don't know. I didn't I didn't see his name in the in the opening credits, but maybe I'd have to look into it. Mark Marin is in it, and then two new people that I haven't seen in anything else so far. And they're yeah. It's it's got a little bit of a Ted Lasso vibe to it, so that's possible, but it's also kind of uh somebody watched uh Happy Gilmore and decided they'd do a spin on that, so yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But positive uplifting makes you feel good.

SPEAKER_02

And it's not bad.

SPEAKER_01

I'm I'm digging it so far. We're like three or four episodes in. So the uh I have a rant because why did you not warn me about House of Guinness? I don't know what I was supposed to warn you about. Great show, but it ends with a huge cliffhanger that they may not pay off because it hasn't been picked up for season two yet. I thought that was a lot of things. Is that a Netflix show?

SPEAKER_02

Is that a Netflix show?

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you're never gonna see the rest of it.

SPEAKER_01

Remember a couple of weeks uh episodes ago you were talking about how you don't watch season ones anymore because of that? I thought that may have been the one you were talking about, and I'm like, you gotta give me a heads up on that. I feel like I wasted a a whole you know.

SPEAKER_02

I watched um what's the one that really took me up? Oh, since eight. It was the Matrix sisters doing it, the Wikowski sisters. And it was it was this huge budget because they were on like seven continents and they were filming on location, and they were just going at it, and then all of a sudden they're like, we can't afford to make this anymore, even though Netflix has ridiculous money in the bank. So they canceled it, and it's like, ah, but then they did like one two-hour, okay, we're gonna wrap up all the storylines thing. So at least they gave you a little bit, but they originally just like nah. Yeah. That's what gets me about Netflix, is that they can have so you have no idea whether something is popular or not, other than everybody's talking about it or it's on their top 10 thing, and then gone.

SPEAKER_01

Well, and yeah, but they know, I mean, that's the challenge of everything being tracked, you know, exactly. So they know exactly how many people watched it within what amount of time, where they are, you know what I mean, and uh how much they're making off of them. So yeah, it's real easy for them to do the math and say, This show costs this much, and it you know, didn't move the needle.

SPEAKER_02

So but I feel like they do it too fast, like the one that was the Jeff Goldblum is Zeus, I think it was called Chaos or something like that, was loving that. And then it was like, oh we just released it, but no, that's all. That's all there's gonna be of it. Like, oh great. Like at least Mindhunter, that was an awesome show. Did you ever see that one?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that show was really good.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, one season, I think.

SPEAKER_01

And it was like it had more than one season. Do you think it had two? It had at least two, dude. Yeah, it was really good too. Because the would did the season you saw, it had the 6'8 killer.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Was that season one?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Fairly confident Mindhunter had two seasons.

SPEAKER_02

I have a Google machine right in front of me. I'm doing it.

SPEAKER_01

While you're looking that up, so we've been watching Legends on Netflix after we finished. We we finished House Againness, and then we we've been watching Black Rabbit with Jason Bateman and uh English guy. What's his name? Can't think of it. Um Balding. Anywho. The English guy.

SPEAKER_02

I'm sorry, I was reading on the anyway.

SPEAKER_01

Black Rabbit with Jason Bateman, because I love Jason Bateman. Drag on. After like four episodes, it's like, why are they?

SPEAKER_02

We s we started that one. We did not even get through, I think, one episode.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I thought the first couple were okay.

SPEAKER_02

Jude Law, that's who you were thinking of, right? Yeah, it's got him in it.

SPEAKER_01

But and both of them are most everything they're in is pretty good. But yeah, it wasn't our favorite. So we switched over and we've been watching Legends, which is this British show about customs officers in the 90s over there going after the heroin trade. And it is pretty good. We've only watched a couple, but much, much better show. So what did you find out about Mindhunter?

SPEAKER_02

There were two seasons of Mindhunter. Told you. But there should have been more. And I think they didn't cancel it. I think um what's his name? David Finch was like, I can't be bothered with it anymore. He's like, I want to do it, but yeah, it's I'm that the lead actor. No, he's the the um director creator guy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, David Finch, that's right. But the uh the main guy in that that plays the main FBI dude, he's really good. Well, both of the leads are were awesome, I thought. Yeah, his boss mentor guy was also really good. So I wish they'd do another one of that. Well, that's it for uh today's show. We'll be back next week with a new episode of the Andy Meadows show, now available on your favorite podcast platforms as well.
