This episode covers National Infant Immunization Week. This annual awareness week highlights the importance of protecting infants from vaccine-preventable diseases and celebrates the achievements of immunization programs everywhere. During this episode we sit down with four champions of public health: 

  • Dr. Trudy Larson, Dean and trained Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist from the School of Community Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR)
  • Shannon Bennett, Immunization Program Manager at the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health
  • Heidi Parker, Executive Director of Immunize Nevada
  • Megan Schwarzrock, Health Educator at Early Head Start, Pediatric Nurse, and parent of three young children
