Something in your business feels “off,” but you can’t find the exact leak because you’re buried in the day-to-day. We talk through a simple way to use AI as a systems and strategy audit so you can map what’s really happening across your marketing, lead flow, follow-up, offers, and sales process, then spot the gaps you’ve been missing. Think of it as getting a clear outside perspective without the expensive hourly bill and without turning it into a multi-day planning retreat.

Jason shares the practical starting point: you give AI an honest picture of how your business operates right now. What do you sell, where do leads come from, what happens after someone raises a hand, and where do deals tend to stall? When you put the whole funnel into words, patterns become obvious, like solid lead generation paired with weak follow-up, or too much time going to services that aren’t your highest-margin work. We also cover a common mistake that kills results fast: giving AI a surface-level input and expecting deep insights.

From there, we get tactical about what to do next. Instead of trying to fix everything, you ask AI to rank the gaps by impact so you can focus on the three or four changes most likely to move the needle. If you want a structured way to improve your marketing automation, tighten your sales funnel, and use AI for smarter business planning, this one is for you. Subscribe, share it with a business owner who needs clarity, and leave a review with the biggest bottleneck you want to fix first.

If this sparked ideas for your brand or business, subscribe for more deep dives, share the show with a founder who needs focus, and leave a quick review to help others find it. Why Audit Your Business With AI

SPEAKER_00

What's happening everyone? Jason Wright here. Sarah's with me. Today I want to talk about something I've been doing with clients that's been producing some really eye-opening results.

SPEAKER_01

What's that?

What To Feed AI First

SPEAKER_00

Using AI to audit your own business. Not a financial audit, more like a systems and strategy audit. Looking at where things are working, where they're leaking, and where the opportunities are that nobody's paying attention to.

SPEAKER_01

How do you even start something like that?

SPEAKER_00

You start by dumping information into AI, your services, your current marketing activity, how leads come in, what your follow-up looks like, where deals typically stall. You give it the honest picture of how your business actually operates, and then you ask it to identify the gaps.

SPEAKER_01

And it'll actually surface things you haven't thought of.

The Gaps AI Helps You See

SPEAKER_00

That's the part that surprises people. When you write it all out and feed it to AI, patterns show up that are hard to see when you're inside the business every day. You might realize your lead generation is solid, but your follow-up is where everything falls apart. Or that you're spending time on services that aren't your highest margin work.

SPEAKER_01

So it's almost like having a consultant who can see the whole picture without any of the blind spots you have.

SPEAKER_00

Without the$500 an hour bill, yes. Now it's not going to replace a real strategic advisor for complex decisions. But for a business owner who's never sat down and mapped out their full funnel and asked, where are we losing people? This is a really accessible starting point.

Prioritizing Fixes That Move Results

SPEAKER_01

What do you do with what it surfaces?

SPEAKER_00

Prioritize. Ask AI to rank the gaps by impact. Which one, if fixed, would move the needle the most? Start there. Most businesses have three or four things that, if tightened up, would meaningfully change their results. The audit helps you find them instead of guessing.

SPEAKER_01

A lot of business owners are so busy working in the business that they never take time to work on it. This seems like a way to force that conversation with yourself.

SPEAKER_00

That's exactly what it is. And here's the thing: most people already know something's off. They just haven't slowed down long enough to look at it clearly. AI gives you a structured way to do that. Without it turning into a three-day offsite, you'll never schedule.

SPEAKER_01

So it removes the excuse of not having enough time to think strategically.

Common Mistakes And How To Start

SPEAKER_00

An hour with AI doing this kind of audit is one of the most valuable hours you can spend. You come out of it with clarity you didn't have going in.

SPEAKER_01

Is there a wrong way to do this? Like can you give it too much information or not enough?

SPEAKER_00

Too little is the more common problem. People give AI a surface level description and wonder why the output is surface level. The more honest and specific you are about how your business actually operates, the more useful what comes back is going to be.

SPEAKER_01

If you've never done anything like this, today is a pretty good day to start.
