Welcome everybody. This is the first episode of The SmackDown with Mario. And a little bit about this channel over here. I do brackets from the WWE mostly. And with this bracket today, I'm going to be doing the best WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Who I think carried the belt the best, I guess, if you want to put it in that way. Or, you know, did more with the belt. I'm only going to do the people and um that held it in the WWE. The reason why that is, is because I was born in the 90s, and I know that people in the 90s or some uh superstars in the 90s, they held the World Heavyweight Championship. But I didn't really get to witness that. So I can only judge or what I saw. I didn't really start watching wrestling until like I think like 2002, 2003, like in the uh Ruthless Aggression era. So like when like John Cena Batista and like Raymond Stereos and Raymond uh Randy Orton's, they all started debuting. So that's when I started getting into wrestling. Uh let's see. This is all my opinion, who I think was like the best world champion. I'm doing like the world champions from like Ruthless Regression all the way until now. So it's gonna have like, you know, the Edge, Randy Orton's, John Cena's, and the people who held the world heavyweight champion like recently, like, you know, the world heavyweight champion at this time is Roman Reigns, and like people like Jay Uso are gonna be on the list. I think it's a total of 30 superstars on this list. So it's kind of uh uh a big bracket of 30 superstars. So um what else? Um later on must uh get my email so y'all can like send me brackets that y'all want me to do in later episodes, um send questions or anything like that, and I'll let y'all know how to reach out to me and do that. Um let's see, what else? Uh oh yeah. The thing about this bracket is that let's see. It's all random. Like I put the names in and um on this app that I got, I put the names in and I hit the random button. So it all is all randomized. So they got two people, I guess because they have like got a bye in the first from the first round. That wasn't they had nothing to do with me, it's just the way they got it set up. And those two people is Edge and Martin Henry. Um, I don't know why it's like that, but like I said, it's nothing I did. I just put the names in, hit random, so I can randomize the names, and that's how that's how it happened. So well, without further ado, I guess we can go ahead and get started. I'm not gonna waste no more of your time. So the first two people, first matchup in the first round, I would say, is Batista versus Big Show. All right. Honestly, I think this is pretty easy. Uh when you think of the world heavyweight champion, you think of Batista, especially back in like 200, I think five, when he won it at the um at WrestleMania, I think he beat JBL to get the belt. I could be wrong, correct me if I'm right. I'm wrong on that. And um Big Show, I think he held it a couple times. I know Batista held it like a couple times as well. But I think Batista, it did more for Batista than it did Big Show. Big Show, I know, I think he was the world hipway champion in WCW as well in WWE, but I think around the time that I watched it, it did more for Batista than it did Big Show. Big Show, I think he was more of a transitional world hip boy champion. Uh so I think in this first round, I think I'm gonna have to give it to Batista. So he goes on to the second round. Alright. So the second matchup in the first round is Kurt Angle versus Ray Mysterio. Now, this one's kind of hard. I think Ray held it once or twice, maybe. I can't honestly remember, but again, when you think of the world heavyweight champion, you think of Kurt Angle as well as best Blatisa, as I said before. Uh and I think he did more with the championship than Rey Mysterio did. So I think I'm gonna have to give Kurt Angle the pass on this one. I think he, yeah, I think he was the a better world heavyweight champion than Rey Mysterio was. So Kerlango goes on to the second round. All right, next we got, you know, somebody that that won it not too long ago, Damian Priest versus Jeff Hardy. I don't think this one as well is too hard. Um Damian Priest held it one time. He did have a couple good matches with Seth Rollins, and uh, I think he had a match with a Gunther and them, and uh and he was okay champion. He wasn't like nothing special with the belt. Um he wanted off uh Money and Bank Cash in at WrestleMania, which was you know a huge win for him. But if I was to pick somebody, I would have to say Jeff Hardy. Um yeah, I think he was a better world headpoint champion than Daniel Priest was. So Jeff Hardy moves on to the second round. Okay. All right, next matchup in the first round. We got Goldberg versus King Booker. I know, I think Goldberg also held it back in WCW as well. King Booker. Like what he did with that World Headway Championship around 2007, 2008, I believe. Um, like at I I know he was a big name before it, but they like established him as like a huge star whenever he, you know, won it with him and uh Queen Charmelle, I think his wife's name was. And he did like him being the world headway champion at that time, and like the uh the storyline he had, like the what he did with that character, big uh King Booker, it was it was all just great. And I think that um WWE-wise, I think he was uh a better world headboard champion than Goldberg was. So um I don't even remember Goldberg run with the world headboy champion really all that much in WWE. I think he won the runtime I first started watching WWE. So I don't really remember that well, but I do remember King Booker running. So I'm gonna have to give it to King Booker with this one. So he moves on to the second round. Alright. Next we got Dolph Zidler versus The Undertaker. Dolph Zidler, when you cashed in that money and bank and on, I think Alberto Dario and won the World Heavy Championship. That was like one of the best cash-ins in WWE history. But him going up against Undertaker is unfortunate for him because like Undertaker, he's a legend. He did a lot for that World Heavyweight Championship. Um and Dolph Zittler, he they he was a good talent and they didn't really use him very well in WWE. We all know this. But with that being said, I think Undertaker was a better world heavyweight champion than Dolph Zittler. So Undertaker goes on to the second round. Next we got Gunther versus Shawn Michaels. Huh. Honestly, and people might disagree with me. Shawn Michaels, he was more of a WWE champion. We know him more as a WWE champion, especially people like that remember him wrestling in the 90s. Um, I don't think he held the world heavyweight championship that long. I do remember him winning it in the first elimination chamber, but not too long after that he lost it. Gunther, um I think I think I know that he's one of like the people that won it not too long ago, but he I think he held it longer than Shawn Michaels. I think he did more with it than Shawn Michaels. So I think with that being said, Gupta goes on to the next round. And I know people might disagree with me with that, and I'm sorry. But that's just the way I feel about it. Uh but with that being said, we're gonna go on to the next matchup, and that is the great Kali versus Chris Jericho. Very easy. Um, I don't think I think much on this, and I don't have to explain much on this. I'm just gonna go ahead and say Chris Jericho. I'm pretty sure you know why. The Great Khali, yeah. I don't even remember his run, to be honest with you. It was so short. I don't even remember it. I just remember I think he beat Undertaker in like some kind of surprise match or something like that. But I don't really remember, you know, um much about his run. But Chris Jericho, he he is one of like the greatest in the ring. And you know, I he just better than the great colleague as a as a world hitway champion. Like there's no there's no doubt about that at all. So easily he moves on to the next round. Alright. Next one, CM Punk versus Chris Minoir. And yeah, I'm just gonna go ahead and put CM Punk on to the next round, and I don't have to explain why. People should know why. If you know, you know. So, anyway, CM Punk moves on to the next round. Um, next is Seth Rollins versus Triple H. Alright. This one's kind of a hard one, kinda. Um again, when you think of the World Hip Boy Championship, especially back in like 2002 to like 2005, you think of Triple H. Alright. And like the modern day, you think of Seth Rollins, because now he has done more for that world championship than anybody else. But it's a tough one because I'm not gonna lie, as of right now, Seth Rollins is like my favorite wrestler right now, but I can't be biased though, and I can't be, even though Seth Rollins, you know, he's the workhorse of uh WWE right now, and he did a lot for the World Head Boy Championship, and I know he had to give it up because of injuries and whatnot. But like I said, when you think of the World Head Championship from like 2002 to 2005, you think of mostly Triple H. So with that being said, I have to move Triple H on to the next round. So Triple H goes to the next round. Next matchup, which will be pretty easy to be honest with you, is Roman Reigns versus his cousin, Jay Uso. Jay Uso should have never been World Headboard champion, in my opinion. Um he won the Royal Rumble when it's the last year in Beat Gunther in a crazy match here at WrestleMania. But I know Ruman Reigns just won it. He ain't really didn't up with it yet, but I think even with that being said, he's a better world headboard champion than J Uso. I'm sorry, y'all might disagree with me, but yeah, Rumor Reigns next round. I don't, yeah. I'm sorry if I disagree, but it is what it is. Next one, um, we got Seamus versus Jack Swagger. Um, also pretty easy, I think. Um Jack Swagger wanted oh no, money in the bank cash in. And um the guy wasn't really that good. He couldn't could have promoted his in-ring work was okay, but nobody really got behind the guy. Nobody really, you know, thought of him as a big star. Mince, I think I guess he kind of saw him as maybe a potential star, but it just never worked out. Seamus um he came in and won a WWE championship pretty quick, and you know, he's just a bigger star than Jack Swagger. He better in the arena, Jack Swagger, and I think he was a better world heavyweight champion than Jack Swagger. So, with that being said, Seamus moves on to the next round. Next, we got Alberto Del Rio versus Randy Orton. Okay, this is also pretty easy, and I know that Alberto won the World Heavyweight Championship a couple of times, I think two times, but when you think about it, Randy Orton, he won it multiple times. I think he beat John Cena in a TLC match to unify the WWE championship and world headway championship. So when you think about it, huh? I think Randy Orton was a better world headboard champion than Alberto Dario. I know a lot of people didn't like Alberto Dario. I didn't really have a problem with him, to be honest with him, with you. But I do feel like Randy Orton was a better world headway champion than he was, but I don't know. I never really had a problem with him. I know that people didn't get behind him. They got behind him when he had that ring announcer, you know, and all that stuff. But I don't know. I never really had a problem with it. I thought he was alright, but Randy Orton definitely was a better warhead boy champion than he was. So Randy Orton goes on to the next round. Alright. Next we got Christian versus Drew McIntyre. Pretty easy. Only because I only because Drew held it for only a second because Damian Priest cashed in on him. So this is pretty easy. And I'm just gonna because of that, I'm just gonna say Christian. Alright. And this is the last matchup of the first round, and we got Daniel Bryan versus John Cena. I think Damian Bryan was the world heavyweight champion when he lost to Seamus at WrestleMania in like, what, five seconds? But I when it comes to John Cena and Damian Bryan, as the, and I'm talking about like world heavyweight championship-wise, not like overall talent. I think that John Cena's like clearly the winner here. Dan Bryan, he didn't really do much with the World Heavyweight Championship. So with that being said, last matchup, John Cena beats Damian Bryan. Alright. And that was the last matchup of the first round. And now it's time for the second round where we got 16 people left. Okay. Alright, now, like I said before, Edge had got a first round bye, but now he's here. And now we got Edge versus Batista. Alright. Kind of hard, cuz when Edge was the world headboy champion, it was it was good. He had a good run with it. But did Batista have a better run? Was Batista a better world headway champion than Edge was? Huh. It's gonna be kind of hard. I know when uh Edge had the World Head Boy Champion, I think he had the Edge heads with him, and he was with Vicky. Because I know when he had the WWE championship, that's when he was doing all that ready art stuff, if I'm correct. Um But to be honest with you, like I think Batista was better because I think the robberies with, I think JBL, and like he had some good matches. Um with the world, I'm not saying the edge didn't, but it all comes back to like when you think of the world headboy champion, you think of Batista, Triple H and people like that. And with that being said, I think that gives him the edginess. No pun attended. So I think Batista was a better world headboy champion than Edge. It's kind of it's hard because both of them was great as World Heavy Boy champion. But I just think I think Edge was a better WWE champion than he was a world heavyweight champion. So if this was the WWE championship, then I think he'd have an edge over Batista. So, but as World Heavyweight Champion, I think um Batista was a better world heavyweight champion than Edge was. So Batista moves on to the next round. Alright. This is getting kind of hard now. Because now we got Kurt Angle versus Jeff Hardy. Well, it's not really all that hard. Um Kurt Angle was uh I just think he was a better world heavyweight champion than Jeff Hardy. I I'll be honest with you, I don't really all that much remember Jeff Hardy as the world heavyweight champion, to be honest. Um I think this around the time when he was having a rivalry with CM Pump. Um I I remember more of his rivalry with Triple H with the WWE champion, but um Kurt Angle, I think, around the time was a better world headboard champion than Jeff Hardy was. So I think that I'm gonna give it to Kurt Angle in this round because I mean I I'm just being honest, I don't really always remember, like remember Jeff Hardy is world headboard champion, and I think he won it a couple times, so I'm not even sure about that. But I just think that Kurt Angle was the better world headway champion. I just remember Kurt Angle being a world heavyweight champion. He did a lot with that, and I just I don't I don't I think he did way better or way more with that belt than Jeff Hardy did. So with that being said, Kurt Angle goes on to the next round. And next, ooh, this is gonna get hard. Now we got King Booker versus the Undertaker. I think if I think Booker only had the belt one time, and I think that right there is gonna be the reason why I might have to pick the Undertaker for this, because I think he's a multiple-time word heavyweight champion. And I know that uh King Booker had uh one of the best runs with the word heavyweight champion. I'm not doubting that because his run with it was like legendary. And like he was so funny, his character was great, he did so well with that character, like can't take that from him, but I think the fact that Undertaker had it more is gonna set him above King Booker. And y'all might disagree with me with that. Um, but as of right now, that's what's gonna put the Undertaker over King Booker, is the fact that he had more reins with it. So, with that being said, I'm gonna give it to the Undertaker. And he moves on to the next round. Next, we got Gunther versus Chris Jericho. Huh. Let's see. Gunther was a good world heavyweight champion. Um kinda, I mean was it better than Chris Jericho? I'm gonna I'm gonna this is what's gonna put Jer Jericho over Gunther to me. Alright. Sorry about that. Um The fact that Jericho beat um I don't think yeah, yeah, yeah, it was Jericho B uh The Rock and Stone Cold both in the same night to unify the WWE and World Head World Championship. So if anything was to put him over to have Jericho win, is the fact that happened. So and with that being said, I'm just I'm gonna give it to Jericho over Gunkter. Cause yeah, yeah, like beating a rock in Stone Cold the same night. Yeah, that's that's that's crazy to even like say y'all like off. All right. Now we got Mark Henry, who had a first round bye versus CM Punk. Um I think around this time, this was when Mark Henry was doing his whole retirement thing, and that's when he started the Hall of Pain, which was great. Um the rivalry he had with John Cena was great, but CM Pump, like I said, before he had that rivalry with Jeff Hardy and he won the money bank two times. I think one of the time he won and he won the World Heavy Boy Championship with it. Um this is what like the World Heavy Championship and him winning the money in bank and like cash in to win it, this is what like kind of made CM Punk, you know, after he came out of uh ECW. So I think that's gonna like put him over Martin Henry. I think Martin Henry was a good World Heavyweight champion, but for um what CM Punk did with that world heavyweight championship and what it did for him, and that's the reason why I think that puts him over Martin Henry in this case. So with that being said, I'm gonna move CM Punk over to the next round. Alright, next we got, I think it's gonna be pretty easy because it's Triple H versus Roman Reigns. And like I said before, Roman Reigns just won the belt. I don't even know why I put him on the list. I guess to make 30 people. Uh he just won the belt. He ain't done no with it yet. So Triple H just moves on to the next round because of that. So that was pretty easy. Next we got Seamus versus Randy Orton. I think it's pretty easy as well. Um Seamus, he was a good World Headway champion, multiple time world headboard champion, I believe. But Randy Orton did a lot for that belt. And up, he and I know that it was a great WWE champion as well. But he, like I said before, he did unify the WWE and World Headboard Championship by beating John Cena. And I know Seamus beat John Cena a couple times, but I think in this case, I think Randy Orton was a better world headboy champion than Seamus was. So I'm gonna have to give it to Randy Orton. And I don't know. I think some people would disagree with me with that, but I don't know. A lot of people will agree with me as well, because Randy Orton, I think, if you think it's like who is a good, like one of the best world headboard champion, and somebody was like famous on Randy Orton, I think the majority of people will say Randy Orton. So I'm going with Randy Orton on this one. Alright. Last matchup of the second round, we got Christian versus John Cena. And fun fact about me, um, I I used to be a Christian fan back in the day. I don't know why, just something about Christian that I liked. Um, he was like one of my favorite wrestlers back in the day. Um, but I'm not gonna be biased about this. His theme music was, I used to love his theme music. Like it was, I mean, I don't know why. Uh I just don't know. I just I thought he was good on the mic. I thought he was a good wrestler. I just used to be one of my favorites back in the day, but I'm not gonna be biased by this, and this is pretty easy. Uh, because Christian didn't really do much with the World Head World Championship. I think they gave it to him just for him to be a world champion because you he was in the company for like a long time. So, you know, that was like, why not? Um, but this is easy. I mean, Super Cena. John Cena goes on to the next round on this one. So John Cena moves on to the next round. All right, now we are down to the Elite Eight. Okay. Third round. It got Batista versus Kurtangle. Huh, this is hard. This is hard. I'm just gonna be honest with you. Kardango was a great champion. Batista was a great champion. This is hard. Um, in my opinion, Batista was a better worry heavyweight champion than Kurtangle. And y'all might disagree with me on that, but uh I'm gonna have to give up Batista. I'm sorry. So Batista moves on to the next round. Man, that was hard. That was that was a hard one. Next we got The Undertaker versus Chris Jericho. Um Chris Jericho, like I said, he beat Stone Cole and the Undertaker, not Undertaker, Stone Cole and The Rock. Same night to unify the belts. Um, but was he a better world champion than The Undertaker? Um I'm gonna say no. I'm gonna have to go with The Undertaker on this one. Um, people, like I keep saying that y'all might agree or disagree with me on this, but I don't think he was a better world headboard champion than The Undertaker. Um yeah, so Undertaker moves on to the next round. I think he was a better world headway champion than Chris Jacko, so he moves on to the next round. Next we got CM Punk versus Triple H. I was it's kind of hard, but Triple H is just one of those guys. When you think of the World Heavyweight Championship, you think of him. You think of Undertaker, you think of Batista, which is gonna probably make this kind of horror hard. But you think of CM Punk too. Honestly, you do think of CM Punk. Because like I said, like he this is what like kind of, you know, got him to the stardom in WWE when he cashed in and won it. Um, but you can't deny what Triple H did for the belt. Uh so with that being said, I think uh Triple H was a better world heavyweight champion than CM Punk. Um so Triple H goes on to the final four. Next we got, oh my god, Randy Orton versus Super Cena. John Cena. Oh man, you know what? This is hard, but this is how I'm um, this is this is how I'm gonna do it. Since Randy Orton beat John Cena to unify the belts in that TLC match, I'ma give it to John uh Randy Orton. So I don't know, this is hard. This matchup is hard. When you think of uh Cena, you think of the WWE Championship, you don't really think of the world halfway championship. I know he I know he held it multiple times, but I don't know. That's why I'm gonna base it off of because Randy Orton beat him to Unify the Bell. So Randy Orton moves on to the final four. Alright, that was the last matchup of the Elite Eight. Now we're down to the final four. It's gonna be hard. First matchup, Batista versus The Undertaker. Let's see. Hmm, this is a hard one, but in my opinion, and this is just my opinion, Batista was a better word headboy champion than The Undertaker. Okay. Now I'm just gonna say it, and I'm just gonna move on. So Batista moves on as well to the last round. Next, we got Triple H versus Randy Orton. And like I said before, this is just my opinion, and I know you might not agree with it, but I'm gonna say Triple H was a better world heavyweight champion than Randy Orton. So now we're in the final round, and we got Batista versus Triple H. Who was the better world heavyweight champion? And all I gotta say is this. If it wasn't for Triple H, it might have never been a Batista. Batista may have never been a world heavyweight champion. Triple H was one of the ones. Well, I'm not gonna say bought and Batista, but he was he was in a group with Batista. Um I he he Batista might have learned a lot from Triple H. And uh I know that group, uh Evolution, that's what it's called. Yeah, evolution. Um, this is hard. Uh yeah, this is hard. I'm just gonna put it like this. If if Triple H never made evolution, Batista might have never been world heavyweight champion. I'm just gonna say that. And with me saying that, I'm gonna have to give the edge to Triple H. So Triple H to me was overall the best world heavyweight champion in WWE. Um if you disagree with me, uh you can uh send me an email to SmackDown with Mario at gmail.com. If you have any bracket ideas, you can send me an email, it will be in the description. Um if you have any like any questions, like you want me to do, I'll like just any questions. I'll answer them. I'll if it's a lot, I'll do like a separate episode. Um but this is um my opinion of who's the best wear heavyweight champion. And like I said, reach out to me in my email at SmackDown with Mario at gmail.com. Um yeah. This was a hard one, but yeah. I think I made the right choice. I think triple H was the best. But um I will see y'all next time. Please reach out to me again at SmackDownwithmario at gmail.com. And I will see y'all again another day. Peace out. Bye.
