What's up everybody? Once again, this is Mario Hobson, and this is the SmackDown with Mario. If you don't mind, give that follow button a trick wins backhand on any platform you are listening to right now. You can follow me on X, you can follow me on Facebook. Those will be the two main places where I will reply back to. I don't really go on IG like that. Uh you can also go to my Facebook, not my Facebook, my YouTube page, and you can like and subscribe over there. I post all my podcasts over there as well. Those are the two ways mostly, which is Facebook and Twitter, which is X now. You can get at me, I will respond to anything that you send me over there, you DM me, and I'll respond to you. You can give me questions to put on the show, and I will answer them on the show. That's about it for all the social media stuff. So let's talk about today's topic. Who is the best intercontinental champion of all time? That's the bracket we're gonna be doing today. We're gonna figure out who it is. Well, mostly everybody thinks it's Gunther. Why? Because Gunther held it only one time, and he held it for 666 days. Why am I telling you this tax for? Because today bracket, we're gonna be doing a little bit different than the other brackets. Because today, not only I'm just gonna give the names of what I think about them, I'm also gonna give you how many times they held the title and how many days they held it for. Yeah, that's gonna play a big factor in how we're gonna settle this little debate, which is not a debate, it's just me giving you my opinion about who I think is the best WWE intercontinental champion of all time. And y'all know how I do my brackets. I just put them in. Oh, I put the names down, I hit random, and it randomized everything. And it's a couple of names that's like always is I has a bye from the first round. Names are I'm gonna go ahead and get those to you now. Dolph Zitler got a buy in the first round, Zach Ryder, Drew McIntyre, JBL, Braun Strowman, Johnny Nitro, Apollo Cruz, Daniel Bryant, Carlito, Dean Ambrose, Ricochet, and Chris Benoit. Yeah. That's the only reason he made out the first round because he got to buy. Because we all know how I feel about Chris Benoit over here. It's gonna be a little different. I'm gonna tell y'all how many times they won the championship and how many days they held it for. So it's gonna be a little bit different in that way. Um trying to think of what else. I think that's it. So maybe we can go ahead and get into it. In the first round, in the first matchup, we got seven. Oh, yeah, by the way, yeah. I'm not thinking, by the way, before we get started, I'm sorry, I know I should have told y'all this. I was thinking and it came to me now. Um, I didn't put Penta on here because there's a total of 52 people that's already on this list, so I didn't think the current intercontinental champion needed to be on here like I do in the other one. So it's it's already a lot of people, and another thing I gotta tell y'all before we get started, these are only champions from 2002 to now, except for Penta. Only reason I do that is because first off, it'll be a whole lot of more people involved in this, and I did it from 2002 because that's when I had started getting into wrestling when I was a kid. So I'm just gonna judge it by what I know. I can't judge by what I haven't seen because I don't think that's I'm just gonna do from 2002 to now, and it's for uh it's been 52 champions in the last 24 years, well 53 if you count Panta. So that's the way we're gonna do it. With all that being said, now we can go ahead and get started. So just letting y'all know how I did it. Seth Rollins versus Randy Orton. Okay, Seth Rollins is a two-time intercontinental champion, and he has held it for 190 days. Randy Orton is a one-time champion, and he's held it for 210 days. What's more oppressive? Randy Orton's run only one time for 210 days, or Seth Rollins run, who has held it two times for 190 days, in my opinion, because holding it one time for 210 days is better, I guess, in a way, but I can't really judge it off that because there held it only one time for 660 days, so when it gets to him, you know, it'd be kind of hard to judge it in that way. I guess judging in a way that who career it helped the most, and I would have to say Randy Orton, because I think when uh Seth Rollins won the IC title for the first time, I think it was later on in his career when he was already an established superstar. Randy Orton won it, can't remember if it was during evolution or after, I think it was during evolution. Yeah, I think it was during evolution, and it kind of like you know, I think it was his first title he won. So I think it did more for Randy Orton than it did for Seth Rollins. So, with that being said, I'm gonna say Randy Orton goes on to the next round. So I'm gonna put Randy Orton over Seth Rollins, which this was a pretty tough first matchup, but Randy Orton goes on to the next round, and next we got Big E versus John Cena. This one's pretty easy because John Cena held it one time for 19 days, and he held it last year when he beat Dominic, and he just did it to be uh, I think it's triple crown winner or something like that. Um, or just to say that he won every title in WWE, basically. And Big E won it two times for 227 days. This is pretty easy, like I said. John Cena, he just held it and he was up, he gave it right back to Dominic, basically. Um, so I'm gonna say Big E moves on to the next round. Big E. This yeah, that's crazy having Big E over John Cena, but his title reign was better than John Cena's next was gonna be pretty well, pretty easy as well. And when you hear the names, you're gonna be like, how is this easy? But you'll you'll see why. Next we got Kevin Owens versus CM Punk. I say it's easy because CM Punk held it one time for only 49 days, as Kevin Owens held it two times for 132 days. So just like John Cena, CM Punk didn't hold it for a very long time. Um had that one run with it. I I can remember his run with to be honest with you. I think he was in a rival with uh Jeff Hardy or something like that around that time. But I'll say that Kevin Owens run was better because he wanted more times, he had more days with it. So I mean, like I said, yeah, maybe I shouldn't judge you like that, but 49 days ain't really that they ain't really good. So I'm gonna say Kevin Owens goes on to the next round. He goes over a CM Punk, so he moves on to the next round. Next we got honestly, this is this is gonna be pretty hard, but next we got Ezekiel Jackson versus Kane. Why do I say this pretty hard for? Because Kane held it two times for only 57 days, as Ezekiel Jackson held it one time for 51 days. So which one is more oppressive? I would say one time for 51 days is more oppressive because Kane, but he both reigns he didn't hold it long at all. So I would say Ezekiel Jackson holding one time for almost the same amount of days as Kane holding it two times, it's more oppressive. So with that being said, Ezekiel Jackson shockingly moves on to the next round over Kane. Next, we got Curtis Assel versus Christian. Um Christian held up held the belt four times for 192 days, as Curtis Assell only held it once for 155 days. Curtis Assell he won it around the time they was trying to get him a big push that one run better than any of Christian's run. And Christian he won a couple times before 2002 as well. So I remember Christian when he won it in the early 2010s, I believe, as well. I would say that I'm probably being a little biased here because Christian was one of my favorite wrestlers back in the day. Uh especially well, oh, I think Edge and Christian was before I started watching, or they broke up like right when I started watching. But Christian as a single star was one of my favorite wrestlers. Um, that rivalry he had with Randy Orton was incredible. I loved it. I loved it when he they finally gave him the World Heavyweight Championship. But I'm rambling on right now, and I guess I'm gonna be a little biased here. Um, and I'm gonna say, because I think anybody will say that Christian run as the IC champion was better than Curtis Assel. So I'm gonna move Christian on over to the next round. Next, we got Wade Barrett versus Santino Morella. So Tino Morella won it two times and held it for 162 combined combined uh days, and Wade Barrett won it five times and held the belt 397 days. Let's see, Santino was I remember I think he was the one that they had like a crowd work thing where they picked somebody out of the crowd and he came in and he wrestled, I think Umanga, I believe, and he beat him coming out of the crowd. I I remember the last two times, 162 days better than five times, 397 days. Why he buried I can't remember nothing really about his run, which is crazy. I know he had one at one time when they brought the old school IC title back around like 2016 when he was doing the bad news buried stuff. I remember that. But was he a better IC champion than Santina Morella? Cuz that moment with Santina Morella getting picked out of the crowd and winning the belt was pretty iconic. And what did Wade Barrett do special as the IC champion? I don't nothing really that I can recall, to be honest. So I'm gonna say surprisingly, and y'all might disagree with me with that. Let me know if you do, but I'm gonna say Centina Morella was a better IC champion than Wade Barrett. So I'm gonna have to move Centina Morella over to the next round. Next, we got a pretty easy one as well. Why I say it's pretty easy, because we got Big Show versus Triple H. Triple H won it five times, which surprised me. I did not know he won the IC title five times, but he won it five times for 197 days, but Big Show only won it one time for 28 days. So I think anybody will say that Triple H run with the title was better than uh Big Show. So Triple H easily moves on to the second round. Next we got Shinsuke Nakamura versus William Regal. Uh Regal won it two times for 126 days, while Nakamura won it two times for 383 days. Man, he held it for a long time. Uh William Regal, I somewhat remember him as the IC champion, but I think Sinskai Nakamura, in my opinion, was a better IC champion than uh William Regal. Because they both won it two times, but Sinsky won it or held it for 383 days, as Regal won it or held it for 126 days. So I guess with those with them stats, I'm gonna put Nakamura over Regal. So Nakamura moves on to the next round. Next, we got one of my favorites to everyone the IC champion is Umaga versus Roback. But did Ryback have a better run as IC champion than Umaga? Because Ryback won it one time and held it for 112 days, and Umaga won it two times and held it for 118 days. So was Umaga's run better? I would say yes. Why? Because Umaga's run was more um rememberable than uh Robat's. I think he had some good matches with Jeff Hardy, John Cena, Bobby Lashley. So I would say Umaga's was more remorable than Robacks. So with that being said, I'm gonna put Umaga over Robat, which I'm pretty sure anybody else would as well. Next, we got I think a pretty easy one as well. Uh Kofi Keyson versus Bobby Lashley. Why do I say it's easy for? Because Bobby Lashley won it two times, but only for 61 days. Uh Kofi Kingston held it four times and he held it for 266 days. I think everybody remembers uh Kofi Kingston as a IC champion, especially in his early like run in WWE. He was either always a United States champion or IC champion. I don't really remember Bobby Lashley running. I think I remember his United States championship run, and I did a bracket on that as well, so you can check that out as well if you want to. IC champion only 61 days. I don't really remember his, but I'm gonna I'm gonna say that Kofi Kingston had a better run than Bobby Lashley as the IC champion. So Kofi Kingston moves on to the next round. Next we got Sami Zayn versus Van Balor. Van Balor won it two times and held it for 120 days, and Sami Zayn has won it four times and held it for 291 days. Um, I remember Sami Zayn run when he was doing that, uh, everybody was against him and um a gimmick he was having. I think he was a good IC champion. He put on good matches and stuff. Fan Balor was too, but who was the best? I opinion, and you might disagree with me on this. I'm gonna say Sami Zayn was a better IC champion than Fan Balor. I think Sami Zayn was more memorable than Fan Balor was. So I'm gonna have to put Sami Zayn over Fan Balor so he moves on to the next round. Next one, we got a lot of easier ones in the first round, and by the way, like I said before, this is all random. I I put the names down and hit the random button. This is how it came out. Next one we got Jey Uso versus the Miz. The Miz won it eight times for 548 days, and J. Uso won it only one time for 28 days. I remember that run he had when he beat Brian Breaker just to give back to Bron Breaker. So obviously, De Miz had a better run than Jay Uso. It's pretty easy. Next, we got Cody Rhodes versus Rick Flair. Rick Flair won it one time for 155 days. Cody Rhodes won it two times for 257 days. Um, Rick Flair, I think he won it later on in his career. Somewhat remember his run with it. It was pretty good. Cody Rose, this was early in his career before he became the Cody Rose we all know today. Who do I say was a better IC champ? Okay, I say it like this. If Rick Flair had won it early in his career, or if it was younger or whatever, it would have been fine. I think this did this title did more for Cody Rose than it did for Rick Flair, because Rick Flair was, like I said, in I think 50s and 60s. I'm not 100% sure how old he was when he won it, but it didn't really do much for his career. I think he I'm not even gonna say he won it because it was one of the titles he was he didn't have because I don't know if he was ever a United States champion. He might have been in WCW, like I said, I didn't uh watch that because I was uh baby, so I didn't really watch WCW. I know clips and stuff like that I see online, but I didn't really watch it. Um yeah, it did more for Cody Rhodes than it did for Rick Flair, so I'm gonna go ahead and say Cody Rhodes was a better IC champion than Rick Flair. So I'm gonna put Cody Rose over Rick Flair. So Cody Rhodes moves on to the next round. Next, we got Brian Breaker versus Shepton Benjamin. Shepton Benjamin held it three times for 354 days, and Brian Breaker's he held it two times for 232 days. This is rough because I remember well I don't I think he did the gold standard stuff for this United States Championship bracket. I mean run. By the way, I did that bracket. You can go and listen to that as well. Once again, I'm trying to plug myself a little bit. Anyway, um, who was the better champion? Three times for 354 days. I can't say that I can't say that this belt did more for Brian than Shelton because it didn't for both of them it didn't really do much. Because I know that Brian is getting into the main um main event pitcher now, but he's not really there yet. But Shel Benjamin, he never really was in the main uh main event uh pitcher or anything like that, or never really was somebody who thought is a world champion. Braun Breaker, we do see him as that, but I don't think he would have need the IC title for us to see that. I'm gonna say, based on the stats, I'm gonna say Shep Benjamin was a better IC champion than Braun Breaker. Um he was a great mid-card champion and someone who always had great matches, either as a United States champion or the intercontinental champion. Braun Breaker, uh, like I said, it didn't really do much for him. I mean, but I'm gonna I'm I'm gonna start rambling. I'm gonna say Shuttle Measurement was a better IC champion than Braun Breaker. So measurement moves on to the next round, and you might disagree with me with that, but that's my opinion. Next, we got Rey Mysterio versus Eddie Guerrero. Eddie Guerrero, he won it two times for 114 days. Ray Mysterio won it two times for a number of 128 days. I remember the matches that Eddie and uh RBD had uh for the IC belt because they had like a little robbery going on. I think they had a ladder match that was pretty good as fuck. Um IC title, huh? But was he a better IC champion than Ray Mysterio? If you look at the stats, no, he wasn't because he held it two times for 114 days, but Ray Mysterio held it two times for 128 days. I say who I remember or the matches or the moments that they had for the IC title, I think that Eddie Guerrero had better moments, and he was um the one that people probably remember more as the IC champion than Rey Mysterio. So I'm gonna say Eddie Guerrero was a better IC champion than Rey Mysterio. So Eddie Guerrero moves on to the next round. Next we got Roman Reigns versus Luke Harper, RIP to Luke Harper. Um Luke Harper won it one time for 27 days, Roman Reigns won it one time for 63 days. I'm just gonna go off the stats with this one and I'm gonna put Roman Reigns over Luke Harper. I remember Luke Harper winning, and yeah, he didn't hold it for wrong long. Uh Roman Reigns didn't either, but both of them didn't have a memorable reign, so I'm just gonna go off the stats and which Roman Reigns stats is better. So Roman Reigns is over Luke Harper, so Roman Reigns sneaks by to the second round. Probably won't get past that, to be honest. Next, we also got a pretty easy one. We got Jeff Hardy versus Booker T. Booker T held it one time, only for 34 days, as Jeff Hardy has won it five times for 366 days. Like the other one, I'm just gonna go with the stats. Booker T nobody remembers that I see run because it was so short. So I'm gonna say Jeff Hardy uh run was better than Booker T. Pretty easy. Jeff Hardy moves on to the second round. Next, we got a pretty hard one to be honest. Um, Chris Jericho versus RBD Rob Van Dam. Um, Rob Van Dam won it six times for 211 days, while Chris Jericho has won it nine times for 317 days. A lot of times they held it, a lot of times they held it and lost it as well. I know Chris Jericho won it nine times, but his runs with the belts wasn't really all that memorable. He had some great matches with it. I know, I know, but we can all say that Rob Van Dam was a great intercontinental champion, and I can all I think we all can say that RBD was a better intercontinental champion than Chris Jerko was. So, well, that's my opinion. I don't know what y'all say, but I'm pretty sure a lot of people will say that. And so with that being said, in my opinion, I'm gonna say RBD was a better intercontinental champion than Chris Jerko was. So RBD moves on to the next round. Next, we got Edge versus Gunther. Gunther has won it one time for 666 days. Record breaking days, I might add. While Edge has won it five times for only 171 days, this one to me, as well, is pretty easy because five times for only 171 days really isn't that good to be honest. Like five short reigns as the IC title uh champion. So, with that being said, along I think one time for 666 days is way better than five times. Well, 171 days, no matter what good matches he had or whatever, it was he was just a transitional champion, it seemed like so. I'm gonna say Gunther moves on to the second round over edge. Next, we got um Dominic versus AJ Styles. This one's pretty easy as well because AJ Styles only won it one time for 74 days, and as Dominic won it one time for 204 days. I'm gonna go with the stacks on this one, and I'm gonna say that Dominic was a better IC champion than AJ Styles. This is probably the only time that Dominic is better than AJ Styles. So, Dominic, this is the last matchup of the first round, by the way. And with that, Dominic goes over AJ Styles as his reign as the IC title was better than AJ Styles, or Dominic was better than AJ Styles. So that's it for the first round. Now it's time for the second round. And first though, we got Dolph Zittler, who had to buy from the first round, versus Randy Orton. Randy Orton, once again, held it one time for 210 days, as Dolph Zittler won it six times for 372 days. What's more impressive though? Randy's or Dolph. Um, like I said, the belt did a lot for Randy as well as Dolph Zittler as well, because he was a great man card champion before he got that one reign as um uh world heavyweight champion after you cashed in the money in the bank. Speaking of money in the bank, I also did who I thought was the best money in the bank winner of all time. Bracket, and you can go back and listen to that as well. Yes, I'm doing a lot of plugging for myself today. Anyway, Randy Orton or Dolph Ziller, one time 210 days, six time for Dolph Ziller for 372 days. Which one was better? Hmm. I know it did a lot for Randy Orton. I would say that Dolph Ziller had more memorable matches than Randy Orton did as the IC champion. He was a great mid-card champion. Randy Orton held it. I think he was part of Evolution. Um, but I would say Dolph Ziller was a better IC champion than Randy Orton. Y'all might disagree with me on that one, but I don't think you will. But if you do, let me know. Dolph Ziller moves on to the next round. Next, we got Big E versus Kevin Owens. Once again, Kevin Owens uh won it two times for 132 days, as Big E won it two times as well, but for 227 days. Both of these guys was pretty good IC champions. I think Kevin Owen was a better United States champion than he was IC champion. I think with this one, I'm gonna go with stats as well, and I'ma say that Big E was a better IC champion than Kevin Owens. Once again, y'all might disagree with me on that one, but stats don't lie on this one, I guess. So I'm gonna put Big E over Kevin Owens as he moves on to the third round. Next, we got Zach Rodder versus Ezekiel Jackson is gonna get to the third round by luck. His first matchup was against Kane, who only held it two times for 57 days. And this matchup, Ezekiel Jackson won it one time for 51 days, but Zach Rodder only won it one time for one day. I remember him winning it at WrestleMania in that ladder match, and then the next day losing it to the Miz. Also, I can't. Should I give it to him just because how incredible that match was? Nah, I don't think I can do that. I'm gonna have to say Ezekiel Jackson. He's just he has snuck by the first two rounds. That is crazy. So I'm gonna have to put Ezekiel Jackson over Zach Ryder. Unfortunately, I'm sorry. And a lot of y'all might say that Zach Ryder was better than Zeke Jackson all because of that match at WrestleMania. But I don't know. Next, we got Drew McIntyre who had a buy in the first round versus Christian. Once again, Christian was a four-time IC champion for 192 days, as Drew McIntyre was a one-time champion for 161 days. I mean you compare their stacks. Drew McIntyre is clearly was clearly a better IC champion than Christian was. I think around when Drew McIntyre won the IC Bell, as was when he was um like when he first came to WWE, we had that incredible music he had, uh interest music he had. I love that music, man. That was so incredible. Uh he was he was a good champion. That's uh that was his first title. Yeah, it was his first title in WWE. Had some great matches. I'm gonna say that, in my opinion, and I am a Christian Mark. I really am, but I will say that Drew McIntyre was a better IC champion than Christian was. I mean, yeah, I might disagree with me with that one, and I don't know why, because like I said, I'm a Christian Mark, but I can't deny that Drew McIntyre was an incredible IC champion. So I'm putting him on to the second round. Next is pretty easy as well. We got Santina Morella versus JBL, who had to buy in the first round, and he wouldn't have made it right the first round, to be honest with you, with these stats, because Santina Morella won it two times for 162 days, and JBL only won it one time for 27 days. I'm pretty sure he was a transitional champion. Nobody remembers his run. I don't remember his run, so Centino easily goes to the third round off of this. So we're gonna go ahead and go to the next one, which is Triple H versus Shinsuke Nakamura. Once again, Shinsuke won it two times for 383 days, as Triple H won it five times for 197 days. I know Triple H won it before I even started watching Maslane when he was uh Hunter Hearst Hemsley or something like that. Uh, I don't know or remember anything about that run. I just remember what I know when he was champion or IC champion, but it wasn't really good. It wasn't better than Shinsuke, especially him winning two times for 383 days, or Triple H five times for 197 days. So I'm gonna say Nakamura was a better IC champion than Triple H. And for all you old heads that are listening, if you think that Triple H was a better IC champion in the 90s, I'm sorry. I didn't like I said I didn't watch it, I'm sorry. And if you disagree with me, let me know. Let me know. Tell me something, teach me something. I've I've watched like old Triple H matches, of course, but I didn't experience, I didn't witness it. No, I wasn't there, so I can't I was there, but I just oh I wasn't there physically out mean I was born around the time, but I just was a baby, and no, I didn't witness that like y'all did, so I'm sorry. I have to judge about what I know. Like this one, which we got an easy one, which is Braun Strowman, who got a bye in the first round. Luckily, because he's gonna get Umaga, who has won it two times for our 118 days, as Brian Strowman won it one only one time for 37 days. So easy. Umaga moves on to the next round. Nobody remembers Brian Strowman running as I see champion. Next, we got Johnny Nitro versus Kofi Kingston. This one's gonna be tough because Kofi Kingston won it four times for 266 days, as Johnny Nitro has won it three times for 209 days. So I remember Johnny Nitro run as well as Kofi Kingston. Who do I think is was a better IC champion, in my opinion. I'm gonna have to say Johnny Nitro, and I'm so sorry, Kofi Kingston. You was one of my favorite rasters as a kid, so was Johnny Nitro, John Morrison, whatever you want to call him, or Johnny Morrison, whatever you want to call him. But I'm gonna have to say Johnny Nitro was a better, to me, IC champion than Kofi Kingston. A lot of you might disagree as well, but uh next we got Apollo Cruz versus Sami Zayn. Um Sami Zayn won it four times again for 291 days. Apollo Cruz, who also got a first round by, won it one time for 124 days. That's when he had a little weird accent. I forget what he was what what it was, whatever. But that's what that's he's one of the reasons why Trick Williams is, you know, in the WWE now. He hired him as a security guard, so Trick Williams owes him, you know, all types of appreciation. I'm just kidding, by the way. Um, Apollo Crew run was not good, definitely not better than Sami Zayn's. So I'm gonna say Sami Zayn had a better IC run than Apollo Crews, of course. Next, we got the Miz versus Cody Rose. Once again, the Cody Rose won it two times for 257 days, as the Miz has held it eight times for 548 days. Miz, he was a great med car champion in his uh early career, and I would say, in my opinion, and this is my opinion, I would say the Miz was a better IC champion than Cody Rhodes. I think, yeah, I'll I would say Miz was a better IC champion than Cody. Yeah, that's my opinion. You ain't gotta like it, but let me know if you think something different. Miz moves on to the next round. Next, we got Daniel Bryan versus Shep and Benjamin. This is pretty easy. Shep and Benjamin, three-time champion, and held it for 354 days, as Daniel Bryan only won it one time for 43 days. Pretty easy. Daniel Bryan don't even remember his run, nobody does. Shep Benjamin moves on. Um, yes, we got another easy one. Carlito versus Eddie Guerrero. Eddie Guerrero, two times 114 days, as Carlito won it one time for 90 days. Easy to me as well. I'm moving to this pretty fast because a lot of people had short reigns as an IC champion. But Eddie Guerrero, better than Carlito, of course. Anybody will say that. Next, we got another easy one, which is two SHIELD members, Dean Ambrose versus Roman Reigns. Uh Dean Bros had a first round bye, of course. So did Carlito a while ago as well. I forgot to mention that. Roman Reigns only held it one time for 63 days, as Dean Ambrose held it three times for 245 days. Obviously, Dean bros had a better IC run than Roman Reigns did. Um, the Ambrose over Roman Reigns, only time that would have happened, by the way. Anyway, next we got Jeff Hardy. It's gonna be a hard well, yeah, it's gonna be kind of a tough one. Jeff Hardy versus Rob Dan Damn. RBD held it six times for 211 days, as Jeff Hardy has held it five times for 366 days. Who is a better IC champion? Jeff Hardy or RBD? This is tough. Both of these are like some of my favorite wrestlers, both of these guys. So many memories as a child with these guys. If I have to say who is a better IC champion, in my opinion, I'm gonna have to say I'm gonna take Jeff Hardy over RBD. Some people might agree, some people might not, but that's my opinion. Next, we got a pretty easy one, which is Ricochet versus Gunther. Gunther 666 days, only held it one time. As Ricochet held it one time, only for 98 days, and I believe Gunther was the one that beat Ricochet to get the belt off of him to start his ring. Uh Ricochet, he held it for a little bit, but his run wasn't better than Gunther. He had some good matches, but nowhere near better than Gunther's matches. Gunther match with Seamus um at Clash in England, I think. Um I could I could probably got that all types of wrong. Let me know if I did, but that match with him and Seamus um was incredible. He had some great matches as IC champion. I I would say myself myself. So this is pretty easy. Why? Because it's Crispy and Wild versus Dominant Mysterio. Dominant Mysterio one time, 204 days. Crispy and Wild four times, 142, whatever. Dominant Mysterio moves on to the next round because we don't like Crispy and Wild over here. Okay, next we got the third round, and third round starts off like this, which is Dolph Dolph Zitler versus Big E. Big E again, two-time champion for 227 days, as Dolph Ziller, six-time champion for 372 days. To me, this is pretty easy stat-wise. Yeah, it goes towards Big E, but as a mid-card champion, as an IC champion, Dolph Ziller was obviously a better mid-card champion than Big E. So Dolph Ziller moves on to the fourth round. Next, we got Ezekiel Jackson versus Drew McIntyre. Pretty easy. Ezekiel Jackson has snaked past the first two rounds. He only held it one time for 51 days. As Drew McIntyre held it one time for 161 days. Drew McIntyre obviously was a better IC champion than Ezekiel Jackson to me. So Drew moves on to the next round. Next we got Santino Morella versus Shinsuke Nakamura. Shinsuke two times 383 days. As Santino Morella, two times for 162 days. I'm gonna go for the stats, and Shinsuke stats are better, so he moves on to the fourth round. Next, we got Umaga versus Johnny Nitro. Johnny Nitro again, three-time champion for 209 days. Umaga two-time champion for 118 days. But who was a better IC champion? Who's a better in my opinion? I'm gonna say Umaga, and this is just my opinion, was a better IC champion than Johnny Nitro. So Umaga moves on to the fourth round. I'm on one pretty quickly, but you know, as the rounds go, the faster I get because the easier it gets to me. Next we got Sami Zayn versus the Miz. The Miz was an eight-time champion for 548 days, and Sami Zayn was a four-time champion for 291 days. Who was a better mid card champion to me or IC champion to me? I'm gonna say Sami Zayn, in my opinion, was a better IC champion than the Miz. I wish I had somebody to debate about this, but I don't. So this is just my opinion again. If you want to debate with me, let me know. I can uh put you on my podcast and we can have off have a debate about this. I would love to have a debate with somebody about this. Um, but next we have Shepham Benjamin versus Eddie Guerrero. Eddie Guerrero once again was a two-time champion for 114 days, and Shelton Benjamin was a three-time champion for 354 days, and in my opinion, I'm gonna say Shelton Benjamin was a better med card champion than Eddie Morero. So, Shep Benjamin moves on to the next round. Boy, I'm gonna have some a lot of people disagree with me on that one. Um, next we got Dean Ambrose versus Jeff Hardy. To me, this is pretty easy. Jeff Hardy, five-time champion, 366 days. As Dean Ambrose, Dean Ambrose was a three-time champion for 245 days. But to me, I'm gonna say Jeff Hardy was a better IC champion than Dean Ambrose. So Jeff moves on. Gunther is sneaking by as well. Because next we got Gunther versus Dominant Mysterio. Dominant Mysterio, one-time champion for 204 days, Gunther, one-time champion for 666 days. And honestly, I'm about to say Gunther was a better IC champion than Dominant Mysterio. Again, Gunther moves on. Maybe he was the best IC champion. Let's find out. Because now we got the Elite Eight. And first off, we're gonna start with Dolph Zittler versus Drew McIntyre. Who do I think was the best IC champion out of these two? If I will be completely honest, a lot of y'all might say Dolph Zittler, but from my childhood and what I watched, and yes, I know he won a lot of times, and yes, he had some great matches. But me, well, I'm gonna say Drew McIntyre was a better IC champion than Dolph Zidler. Drew moves on to the next round. Next, we got Shinsuke Nakamura versus Umaga. Umaga two-time champion for 118 days, Shinsuke two times for 383 days. I know, although uh Shinsuke wanted more times. Me, Umaga was a better IC champion than Nakamura. So I'm gonna say Umaga moves on to the next round. Now, we got Sami Zayn versus Shepton Benjamin. Shepton Benjamin, three-time champion, 354 days, Sami Zayn, four-time champion, 291 days, and in my opinion, I'm gonna say Shepton Benjamin was a better IC champion than Sami Zayn. Shepton moves on to the final four. Next, we got Jeff Hardy versus Gunther. Gunther, one-time champion, 666 days. Jeff Hardy, five-time champion, 366 days. This was where it gets uh interesting to me. Because who do I think was a better IC champion, Gunther or Jeff Hardy? And y'all ain't gonna like this. You're not because in my opinion, I'm gonna have to say Jeff Hardy was a better IC champion, intercontinental champion than Gunther. A lot of y'all might agree, a lot of y'all old heads who watched back in the day would definitely agree, but a lot of y'all people that's been watching lately, they've seen all the great matches he had as IC champion, um, like the younger audience, y'all will say Gunther. But if anybody was watching around 2002 to now, that would most likely agree that Jeff Hardy had a better IC championship or IC title run than Gunther did. So Jeff Hardy over Gunther. See, y'all might think that Gunther had a the best IC run, but I told you, probably not me. But now it's time for the final four. Who's gonna win? Let's see. First up, we got Drew McIntyre versus Umaga. I love both of their IC or Intercontinental Championship run. Honestly, I'm gonna have to say Umaga's IC run was uh was better than Drew McIntyre's. So I'm saying I see by the way, because I don't know keep saying intercontinental champions all the time. So just case you was wondering why I'm saying I see, but it's close to the end of the video now, so why am I explaining that now? Anyway, umaga was a better IC champion than Drew. Next up, we got Shelton Benjamin versus Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy five times 366 days, Jeff Hardy three times, or Jeff Benjamin three times for 354 days, and in my opinion, I know I put Jeff over Gunther, but I cannot put Jeff over Shelton Benjamin. And I'm gonna say Sheldon Benjamin, the matches he had, both of them had great matches, but Sheldon Benjamin to me was a better IC champion than Jeff Hardy. Finals time time for the finals, and who we got in the finals? Umaga and Sheldon Benjamin. Who the best I see champion. I'm gonna say the whole word is high. Who do I think was the best intercontinental champion of all time? If you guessed Umaga, you're wrong. Cause to me, Shelton Benjamin, who held the belt three times for 354 days, is the best intercontinental champion of all time. Again, if you disagree with me, let me know over at X.
