SPEAKER_07

I'm no more than I see. I know who I be. I just want my beast. Make money to I go get everything I need. I'm not scared of my own I need. I was gonna get on eating people being high. Like it's not a woman, yeah.

SPEAKER_14

Like it's not me. I know they're putting my foot on me. I don't know if I'm not me. If it's the eight Good Bad, I'm gonna find out the go big enough.

SPEAKER_17

Okay, bro. Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. I'm not gonna even lie to you, yeah. And I know that this is probably an unpopular opinion. I don't know how people still feel about the whole thing, yeah. But if there's one guy that I'm rooting for, is in Olisky. Oh, yeah, everyone. I'm kind of rooting for him. You got what I'm saying? I understand how people felt because of the whole situation with rest in peace, more bad and everything. Yeah, you got what I'm saying, but he's talented, bro. When you go through some of these songs, my he's talented. Now, I don't know how much he's probably just a pawn in the whole thing, you got what I'm saying, you know. But when I just look at him and everything, I'm kind of rooting for my man, I'm not gonna lie.

SPEAKER_09

No, I've always been rooting for him, to be fair. But that shows from everyone, you know, you know, and you know how I feel about Xeno. Xeno, what Xeno is the coldest because I knew of Xeno from SoundCloud, so I didn't know of Xeno as a commercial artist, so I'm heavily invested. You know, shout to 2016 gang, you know. I mean, Xeno has been cold forever. I remember Xeno with the uh highlights, Afro Cold Brother, and I feel like he changed, in my opinion. The modern Afrobeat sounds of the 2020s, in my opinion. The the swag with using uh your vernaculars, using your bar, and mixing and making sense, it's not just talking anything, bro. He bro, he's making sense. Like, if you listen to Kilo Fair Shit, it's such a vibe, he's what you people call cruise, but it's still relatable. You're listening to it, yeah. Zeno is the coldest, man.

SPEAKER_17

I want people to go listen to that song with um the Adequillus um gold song. Oh, yeah, yeah. You know, bro, bro, go go go read what my man was saying in that song, bro. You gotta mean he was he was talking, yeah. It's very cold.

SPEAKER_09

Well, absolutely, it's not just particular to Nigeria, so I don't want to make make it look like just Nigerians, but just anywhere in the world, sometimes you're guilty by association to the people's to the public opinion, in it, the courts of public opinions, you know, they would judge you based on who you associate yourself with. Well, you know, I'm happy he's over that nowadays.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, yeah. No, I'm happy he's over that, you know. But at the same time, I don't really blame people that were like, you know what, nah, blacklist all that. You know what I'm saying? Because of the way the whole thing kind of played out.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_17

You get what I'm saying? It's like in a lot of people's eyes, we saw the villain win. If you get what I'm saying, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, so you know, I don't really blame on everything, but I'm not gonna lie, sometimes when I'm at a crib, you know, I'm I just put on Zena and everything and I'm just vibing into my mind thinking, bro, this guy is cold. I just wish that he kind of gets the chance. So he will be the chance he deserves to kind of prove himself or show himself if you go, or rather show his talent.

SPEAKER_09

It's it's quite tough because in the Nigeria in the music industry, it's so fast-paced that if you miss the velocity, or should I say the current, you will, or the tide, you would kind of be at the back. You will, yeah, very quick, yeah, very quick. It's very quick because people are releasing songs every day, people are becoming content creators, people are in your face. You know how this social media error is. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But Zeno, it would listen. If we mentioned 10 people, some of your favorites right now, Benson. Um, sorry, not Benson, but um it's just an accident. Like Zeno will clean all of these guys. Trust me. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, for real.

SPEAKER_17

For real. You know what? Yeah, I'm you know what? I'm gonna bring this up, right? I'm gonna bring this up. Yeah, so within the week and everything, I was chatting to someone who we know and everything. You know what I'm saying? I'm gonna tell you after you know. So the the press was like, yo, fam, you guys podcast and everything. Yeah, he said, bro, I love the podcast. I think it's one of the best out there. You got me on our scene and everything. Yeah, when that's when a man starts. I know, I know, I know about to say, I know, I know he he he he's he's about to go left with it. Yeah, yeah, you got me. He said, bro, I love your shit, your content, conversations, vibe, everything, boom, boom, boom. But then he said that that he feels because of the scene that we are in, yeah, that we are too honest in our opinions. Okay, right, which in the scene, if you're too honest, yeah, the potential to grow, yeah, it's all limited because nobody wants to hear the truth. Okay, nobody wants you to criticize them, yeah, even if it's objectively, yeah, right? So once you do that, people want to stay away, like, okay, cool, you know, this this person, and you see that all the time as well, even in the comments and everything. When you say something that is objectively true, and that fans don't like it, they're like, oh, you know what? I know you always hate it. This and I said, bro, I don't even know this person to hate this person. I'm just being objective in my assessment of the whole thing. You know what I'm saying? Which, when you look at it, how many people out there are really, really objective in their opinions about things that are happening, um, let's say, in the scene.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah.

SPEAKER_17

So that's what basically the person was saying in a nutshell.

SPEAKER_09

So basically, this person has just confirmed to me that our USP unique selling point is what we need to stay on. Thank you. I appreciate that. Your money just says I'm happy. At least one person could tell that we're being honest. No one pays me, I don't pay anyone. I don't care about these guys. If they come, they don't want to chat to me, I'll chat to them. Vice versa, I'll tell you guys me. This I said 2026. You guys, you're lucky my content has reduced because I'm doing other you ah, you guys are no. I'll be back. Let this June, July finish. Ah, you guys are in trouble. But for now, innit? It's just we're cooking, we're cooking. But for me, I'm just happy that the person is seeing it that way because the aim is for people to see the honesty first. I don't care about the content will come. When I say the content will come, I mean the growth and all that kind of stuff.

SPEAKER_17

No, not even just growth.

SPEAKER_09

I mean, when I say content in the sense where when people start to lock in continuously, it becomes a content to them, right? Right. We are we know we're creating a content because that's what we're doing. Yeah, but for the other for the other guys to catch up and for it to actually become a content to them, then they'll start to realize, oh, that's the only guys that tell the truth. Let's go to them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I promise you, a lot of the bigger podcasts out there are big because of their telling the truth. That's facts. They're not big because they're trying to suck up to someone. Because let's put it this way: imagine we suck up to one artist every time we're just bigging up, just this artist. We never, even if he kills someone, we're like, uh, maybe the person fell on the knife. You know that kind of nonsense excuse. You know what's gonna happen? We're only gonna have that artist's fans as people want to watch.

SPEAKER_17

What if, what if, what if, just playing the other side. Yeah, you're gonna say, I I agree with you, but I'm just playing the other side. No, no, no, no, no. Right? So, what if we say, okay, cool, we're not gonna criticize none of these people anymore. Which we don't, but you're gonna be like, it's always gonna be praise and how amazing they are, and how they are the best thing since Liesbred or whatever the crazy, right? Now, you would do that so that oh, hopefully they can come on the platform type thing. You know what I'm saying? Because that's basically what the person is saying. Oh, yeah, yeah. That that's how the scene is. Oh, that's what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying? Because because a lot of these artists they don't feel comfortable to have an objective conversation with you if you're not praising them, if you're not telling them how amazing they are, if you're not if you're not telling, if you're not calling them go to wherever the case is, right? Yeah, they don't wanna.

SPEAKER_09

You go saying no, no, it makes all the sense in the world because that goes to show how fickle the so-called in-dust street, I call it in dust and street. That's what I call it. You know, that's it shows how fake it is. So I'm not here to be pandering to another man. What the heck? But at the end of the day, if someone feels the need to want to talk to me, like or do I'll I'll get to that anyway, and I'll read the messages on my phone. So, you know, I said 2026, me, I'm just gonna tell the truth. I don't, I'm so happy none of these guys pay me. I don't really even care speaking to them. You don't want to speak to me. Listen, guys, I'll be happy to speak to you. Of course. If you don't want to, adios. Of course, of course.

SPEAKER_17

At the end of the day, like I told him, listen, at the end of the day, if any of these guys want to come up here, you gotta mean we can have conversations respectfully. You know what I'm saying? Because half of the time, we like what they're doing. You know what I'm saying? Half of the time we like what they're doing, but at the end of the day, we we're not gonna come here and lie to our fans or lie to our listeners, because the worst thing that can happen to you is the people that are listening to you knowing that you're lying to them.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, you're not being real.

SPEAKER_17

They know you're not being real. Yeah, man. You know what I'm saying? So so why would I waste my time and come sit up here and and kiss someone else's ass? Now, if if the person does something great, who come up here and be like, yo, you go, because at the end of the day is is equal praise for everybody. You know what I'm saying? But it's so unfortunate because the person was explaining to you. I was like, so basically, we have to trade honesty and objectivity for for lies and fandom. You know what I'm saying? Nah, man.

SPEAKER_09

And never gonna do that. And guess what? It doesn't stop me from expressing the fact that we have three genuine GOATs in the industry. You already know them, the three musketeers, you know? Those guys are genuinely GOATs. Like when it's all said and done, I'm talking 15 years from now, 20 years from now, we're all gonna look back at this amazing era.

SPEAKER_17

Their names are going to be up in the rafters.

SPEAKER_09

Forget the names, what they've done. Yeah, what they've done, yeah. Just the legacy, man. You see, Ronaldo Messi, like bruh. That's literally the what this guy. Of course, they're not gonna be on that scale of Messi Ronaldo, but just so people understand how important they're always gonna be to the scene, you know what I mean? But yeah, I mean, shout out to the person, man. If he's the person I'm thinking about, yeah.

SPEAKER_17

Ah, okay. Shout out to him. You got saying, yeah, shout out to him, man. You got what I'm saying, you know. But but then you mentioned, bro, have you been watching those football, bro?

SPEAKER_09

Yamon, bro, that's that's also that's all I've been living for, mate. You know, if you follow me, you see me, I'm on my winning streak. I've been predicting the scores. That's how locked in I've been, man. Because uh, yeah.

SPEAKER_17

Hold on, have have you been gambling on that?

SPEAKER_09

No, that's the only thing I haven't done, to be fair. I should have been putting money on it, but I mean, I mean, at the end of the day, I should I should be like 10 grand up.

SPEAKER_17

Bro, I mean, once you start putting money, all those predictors you're doing, you're not gonna be putting money on them like that, bro. You guys if you be like, yo, from I'm predicting two one. Of course, you're gonna predict that because your money's not on it. That's you get me. But once I put the money, you'd be like, God damn, bro. Should I do that? You gotta say, that's you know, but I'm not gonna lie, bro. I've been watching the games, bruv. All right, interesting, man. Gentlemen is looking good. Spain is picking up now. France is legit, France is legit, France are the winners, man. You know, England, England, I don't know. With this one with Mexico coming up, we'll see what's gonna happen. It's gonna be tough for England, man.

SPEAKER_09

It's gonna be tough for us in that Aztec stadium. Do you guys understand what the Aztec stadium is, bro? That place is unbelievable, man. It's so loud. You know, normally when you're watching football, you can hear the fans. This one just when Mexico scored, I swear I thought they were downstairs. It was so loud, I was like, whoa, what the heck? I don't know how they're gonna survive that, man.

SPEAKER_17

The altitude as well. The altitude as well, the weather. The weather.

SPEAKER_09

I'm not even worried about the weather because apparently, this is what I read today, anyway. So um Viagra has not been banned. It's not a substance that's banned, or it's not like some drug that's banned by the FIFA or by footballing, like the football ruling body. So I think um the England fans who sorry fans, you know, players would would have to take Viagra to help with the altitude. Our slime. Okay, is it? Yeah, I said, is this a real thing? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, facts. They would have to take Viagra or something like that. But yeah, man. Bro, I feel like you're giant shit. Just like I promise you. Ah, then, yeah, man.

SPEAKER_17

So bro, we'll see what happens, though. We'll see, man. It's gonna be a tough one, but um we'll see what happens. And then I think the prime minister is saying that I think he he's gonna allow um the pubs to be open.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, the mayor, London Mayor.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, it's sorry, the mayor, yeah. Yeah, the mayor. Um 5 a.m. Yeah, yeah. So he's gonna allow the pubs to be open and everything, but then people were pushing for for for kids not to go to school the next day, but then he said nah. Which I don't know the reason why he said no, because people are gonna call in sick the next day anyways. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? If anybody calls a sick on Monday, you know where it is.

SPEAKER_09

It is exactly so that people go, Oh, we saw you at the pub aggression to it. Exactly. That's I might just I might just uh vomit on something. Exactly, brother.

SPEAKER_17

Vomit and take a photo of it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

100% like you saw in the video. 3 2 1. That's funny. Yeah, man. But football's been good. World Cup, this world cup has been amazing. The sharp shooters have been sharp shooting. Do you know what I mean? All the top boys have been out there to show their guys why they're the top boys.

SPEAKER_17

I'm not, I'm not gonna lie to you. I'm rooting for Christian Ronaldo, but the way they are, I don't think they're gonna go far, man. It's like I don't know. I just don't know.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, did you? I don't know if anyone watched the well, this whenever you're watching this, this would be like two days ago or a day ago. But I don't know if you watched the Portugal vs Croatia, Drake was on the stadium. Drake looking looking fat. Yeah, my man looking hench.

SPEAKER_17

I mean, he's not he he's not a small boy, you know.

SPEAKER_09

I know he's not, yeah.

SPEAKER_17

He's like 41.

SPEAKER_09

People forget, yeah. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, that's what it is. Um, he's in his 40s, but it was but what then I saw is the fact that when Ronaldo went back to the hotel, did you see the fans that turned up to Ronaldo's hotel?

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, I saw that.

SPEAKER_09

Bro, Drake must be thinking, I thought I was a star.

SPEAKER_17

No, no, no, no, no, no, no. This those guys are on a whole nother level, bro. Ronaldo looks like the Pope, bro.

SPEAKER_06

Mike came out and did this. I said, brother, these are hot. How many thousands of people?

SPEAKER_17

Fam, look at their followers on IG.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, he's the most followed person.

SPEAKER_17

Look at Chris Ronaldo and Messi. Look at their followers on IG. He's he's different. Yeah, those guys are different.

SPEAKER_09

Genuinely they're gods. You got me. Those are those are genuine, gen, they're not goats, they're gods.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, literally. It's different, you know. I mean, the only thing I'm not gonna lie, the only thing that just pain me a little bit is the African teams are dropping out like flies, bruv.

SPEAKER_09

It's not really for me, it's not really, it doesn't even really hurt me. I'll be honest with you. I feel like that's something we African African teams have to learn from how to manage games, how to be very tactical. Because a lot of times that's the only thing that's ruining the chances for African teams. They don't know how to manage games. To do really well, it's it's a very typical African thing. We just gra-grah, we rush into something. Because guys, to the people that know anything about football, and I'm talking, I don't mean like, oh, goal offside, no, no, no. I mean the intricacies of football. For an African to make it and become a footballer, it's a miracle, you know. I don't think you guys understand. I repeat for African, someone born in Africa to make it to the top, to make it out of Africa and play in Europe and then play in the World Cup. It's a miracle, you know. Because I want you guys to understand the Moroccan team, none of those guys were born in in Morocco and Africa in Africa, they're all from France or wherever it is. You see the technical abilities different because these guys have been playing football from the ages of seven to eight. Yeah, your average African guy was just good at football. They didn't they don't they didn't learn the basics, the technicalities, the um spatial awareness, the direction, the way you move the ball, how to maneuver, ball mastery, none of that. They were just good, we were just born with that talent. So, guys, for me, before when I was still my young days, I was ah this Africa. Since I've become like uh a professional coach, uh my brother, respect to Africa, bro.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, bro.

SPEAKER_09

That's why O Simon is uh yeah, I know I don't want to say the word, they'll say, Oh, what do you mean? Yes, it's not Ronaldo Messi. But considering where O Simen came from, to where he is Messi, I promise you. Because what? Man, shout out to all my African brothers that made it out, man. Yeah, bro. Shout out to them, man. You shouldn't, I'll be honest with you, there should be no reason if we go based on law or rule of law. They shouldn't be footballers, they should just be just people that played for fun. Yeah, bro. It's hard, it's tough. It's hard to them, man. It's tough. That's why we didn't, they don't know how to manage games, you know, and these things are very technical, you know. Belgium did what they had to do to Senegal. Ivorcos had to get the, you know, they got their own as well. So it's like all these other teams now. People are hoping that Morocco would be the one. Right now, as we speak, Egypt are winning, but again, we'll see what happens, isn't it?

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, we'll see what happens at the end of the pod and everything, bro. Yeah, man. You got me. But listen, shout out to them though. Yeah, yeah. Shout out to them, yeah, yeah, yeah. Listen, listen, for everybody out there that don't know, you got me. It's your boy Toby, and it's your boy Banks. Mr. Banks, yeah. You know what I'm saying? And if you don't know where you are, what you're listening to, or what you're watching, this is Fresh of the Bull Podcast. You know what I'm saying? Listen, if you've not subscribed to the channel, do that, subscribe to this channel, yeah, guys. Watch these videos, leave a like, leave a comment, trust, and share these videos with your friends.

SPEAKER_09

Jump out and live him in the coffin.

SPEAKER_17

That's it, bruv. You know what I'm saying? Bro, should we start? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Fam, I think, yeah. We should start from this point, bruv. Mm-hmm. A go. Which of them? It's his birthday. Happy birthday to Bonner Boy, bruh.

SPEAKER_01

Oh You gonna mean Happy birthday to Bonner Boy Lummy, big on me, Bonna.

SPEAKER_17

You gotta say like I don't think it would be justice for us to come here, you gotta mean and start this episode. Regardless of what anyone says out there, he's still one of our own. You know what I'm saying? And in my opinion, he's the go. You know what I'm saying? I know some people might disagree and everything. Which we are gonna jump into that conversation still. You got what I'm saying? We two are gonna jump into that conversation. But I think it's only right that we start with some of the hits out there. You know what I mean? And then we can jump into the conversations. How about that?

SPEAKER_09

Let's go for it. Should we do that? Yeah, yeah. I hope one of my favorite songs is on this.

SPEAKER_05

Everybody go to our breakfast.

SPEAKER_13

It's kill the five.

SPEAKER_05

I know this body, we have to go to my fuck up, I'll be young, I don't be ball, oh I'm not to ball off, go to my collaboration, you want to be on the palace, and we don't have mo ya wanna ball up et my tablet, oh no, when I tell the host Allopa Wanna, bro, hit my own do yes, yes, hey, yes, yes, hey many people don't tell me no no no only, it's the pig that they do I fall off, I get the cat if you catch up because they do I follow up if I get him on you go till I go to the pick up I hope he plays the break and burn up you know I hope he plays it.

SPEAKER_09

Yes sir! Greatest song of all time, mate. Yes sir! It's a shame you don't perform this tune. This is your greatest song, bro. This tune is such a philosophical tune. Yeah? No one's stopping this tune, bro.

SPEAKER_05

Music make me feel a bit joke. Mystic make me feel a bit joke. I took me on the bottom, I don't think on the cut beat, but that's done when it's what up on my dump, I'll keep the stuff to read up.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

Twenty three, twenty four.

SPEAKER_17

Listen, if you are not on um on Apple Podcasts, you go. I mean, if you're not on Apple Podcasts and everything, you need to go on there and just listen to some of the songs that we just played right now, bro. Some of my man's hits.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, I don't know if you've noticed what they've done on Apple as well. You can put video. Oh, that's so sick.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, but the thing is, Spotify does that as well. No, yeah, Spotify, very well. But the thing with that is I don't understand the logic behind it. Yeah. So when you put up the videos on Spotify, you have to cut out all the music.

SPEAKER_09

No, I know, but I'm talking about Apple music. Um Apple Podcast. Yeah, I know, I know.

SPEAKER_17

So on Apple, we still upload the audio, which is the reason why we put the music in there. But then I don't know if if you upload a video, are you are you um expected to cut out the music as well? I don't know. I'll probably do the research on that as well. You know what I'm saying? But yeah, man. You know, but listen. Wait, are you saying that he does not perform 23 no more?

SPEAKER_09

I've I I've barely I can't. I've I don't know. I definitely that's what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_17

Because because I know that I know that the time that he was at a stadium, the one that I went to, he performed it.

SPEAKER_09

Oh yeah, but he's not as famous as he doesn't perform this song as much, to be fair. From what I've noticed, that's one of his songs that I like though. Bro, that's my favorite burner boy song because that song is you can tell that he just left the studio, bro. Man went to the studio and left his spirit and left everything on there. Bro, I was just gone, bro. Man was just spitting, he was just telling you guys everything. Man said, I came up and I the circle. You know what I mean? Man say came and I effed up the circle. What circle? Ah, I don't know what circle you're talking about, man. But yeah, he did his thing, man. Nah, you've switched up on that.

SPEAKER_17

He's born a boy to go. Of what? Of arsenic. Um the greatest of gold.

SPEAKER_09

They are metrics, factors, there's so many things that would, you know, you know, get you to that point. If I'm being honest, I think maybe he's the biggest export out of Nigeria. As of now. Yeah, yeah, obviously, till till now. That's what I'm saying. Number merchants, you know, the the numbers baby. Yeah, because now he's on the Billboard charts with the die-di song. That I I again, I said it, guys, that I for me, I liked it.

SPEAKER_17

Tobes was like, nah, that song, but I mean, I mean, I mean, if you consider the person that he did it with, where they're from, yeah, it's always gonna be.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, but that's what I'm trying to say to these people. Like, you keep people forget that there's a there's a power behind there's just a massive shift behind this not global stars, but like very populous, uh, very popular um artists from a populous country. Yeah, uh come on, Spanish comedy, what it's going.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, it's going, definitely. The reason the reason why I will put Bonaboy as the go, and I'm not saying it because it's his birthday or whatever, shout out to him. Milestone, 35 years, it's not easy.

SPEAKER_09

My man is he 35 now or 45? Well, 35, okay.

SPEAKER_17

Well, you gotta say, uh you know, I don't I don't know if it's football number, but I was just asking. But the reason why I'll say that is, right, when you look at just like you said, his achievements, he's the one that has done it on the biggest stage, right? He has unlocked, if you're talking about bro, before him, we a lot of us were not even thinking about state stadiums, bro. You got what I'm saying? Like none of us were thinking about stadiums and everything. If you could get all two arena, I remember when when when Whiskey did O2, you know what I mean? I think it sold out like about two, yeah. We went crazy. Yeah, yeah, like two, three days straight. You know what I'm like, three days straight, yeah. You know what I'm saying? But he upped the notch and everything, you know what I mean? The stadiums, you know, the way he broke in who he is, the music, the diversity, the aura, you got what I'm saying, like everything that he's done, he pushes it to a whole nother level. I'm not saying that sometime in the future somebody else might come out and do wonders too. But when you look at everything that he's done to this point, I think the conversation is there. That that he is probably the go with Neverview. You get what I'm saying? And to me, I think personally, I think he is. You know, some other people might have um a whole a whole nother argument against it, but I don't think it's a rich to say he's the best to do it.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, I think if if if there was going to be or if there is like a rebuttal or like a response to it, it's gonna be the closest thing, it would be like nitpicking. Nitpicking, absolutely, absolutely. But the truth is I can't disagree with everything you've said, man. The guys achieved a lot. You know, everyone is a well, most of the guys are goats in their rights, but if we're talking objectively about who is the outright goat, man, what Bern has done, and again, I know we have to like let's be real, from the music side of it, yeah, like you know, album, he's an album guy. We're not talking about his last album, guys, to relax. We're talking in general, where you know, we're trying to um encapsulate everything, right? So we're talking general as an album guy, his albums are really cohesive again in general. If we take everything by average, you know, so if we collate everything together, then yeah, good album, performance, like the guy's a performer, he's a performer. So by the metrics or by whatever metrics we put in front of us, yeah, sure, definitely here we go.

SPEAKER_17

Which goes back to my point, right? Because I had that conversation with some people, someone a couple years ago. I said, bro, when you look at it objectively, if you've been paying attention, right? In our scene, we've always been singles centric. Yep, you got what I'm saying? Yeah, if you can catch that that single, yeah, you're going. You know what I'm saying? But he is one person that came out and really, really pushed you know, the album-centric and everything where a lot of people paid attention to the album. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got what I'm saying? Yeah. Because the album was so coercive, it had something to talk, you know, the transition from one song to the other. You know what I'm saying? Like a lot of people started paying attention to, right? Now, a lot of artists started doing it.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, of course.

SPEAKER_17

Not that artists who are not releasing albums, yeah, but they started focusing more, but they're really focusing more on the details of the album, you know what I'm saying? And then when you also look at the performance side of it, you go I mean, before him, you know, just put on your DJ, you know, and all you know, just do your TV tracks or whatever, and just sing behind you, wherever the case is. But now, I know people will say Sonia and everything feel like yes, they had their bands and all that kind of shit. Yeah, but on the popular side of Afrobeat, yeah, the modern Afrobeat, he's the one that really pushed for that as well. Yeah, you get what I'm saying, and then a lot of people started doing it. You get what I'm saying? Absolutely. Your performance, putting thoughts into your performance, yeah. You get what I'm saying? He's the person as well that was pushing for it. Yeah, absolutely. You know, a lot of people started thinking about it. You know what I mean? Before then, just mount your stage, put your lights, wherever the case is, and you're good to go, and all that kind of stuff. You know what I mean? So he broke so many boundaries, and he pushed the the general forward, you know, and you kind of have to give it to him.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, no, absolutely. You kind of have to give it to him. You can't disagree with that one, to be fair. You go, I mean, you definitely have to give it to him, and then I think he's broken a lot of uh he's done it, he's opened a lot of doors for new aspiring artists, you know, he's made people dream, he's made people imagine, he's made people believe in themselves. Obviously, saying all these things because yes, there's some artists there that are going, Oh, Bernard is my hero. Oh, yeah, now I believe I can do it. You know, all of those stuff that people do. Do you know what I mean? So shout out to him, man. He's truly, truly the goal. If we're going by his based on metric. Now, if it's going based on oh, your personal preference, of course, your bias would come in and make you be so stupid enough that you will ignore the things in front of you, so which is fair. But do you think he has classics? Classic songs, classic albums. Oh, yeah, for sure. How many classics do you would you say he has? For me personally, I think it's three. We try and we try and we try. Wait. Wait, wait, wait. I know, I know African Giant is there for me for sure. Um I'm just checking on my uh, you know, my what you call the streaming platforms, you know. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, so burn a boy.

SPEAKER_17

So you're saying um African Giant?

SPEAKER_09

Yes, African Giant is definitely there. Wait, what? Um twice as tall, of course, obviously. Um the other one, the other one, the other one. I I don't think I told them it's a classic for me. I don't think I would not I told them as a classic for me, to be fair. But I will put um the one that he did. Let me just look for it. Yeah, and I've seen it. There's an album, the name, I always forget the name. Always, always um you're talking about outside. Outside, I'll be honest with you guys. Outside, yes, was decent. I I wouldn't consider that a classic for me. It's close to I would say life is more of a classic. And I'll tell you why life is a classic. We won in 2013. Because at that point we haven't heard now. Yes, we've heard someone sound and give us that reggae intonation, you know what I mean? The cadence is very, like, very like um reggae, very close to the British style of Afro Beats. But at that point it wasn't clear, it was 2013, let's be real. It wasn't clear. But on that, on life, I just felt like there was no artist doing it the way he was doing it at that time. But because he wasn't popular and famous, like as he is right now, or he wasn't really, really mainstream, it kind of brushed over everyone's head. People were more focused on the song it released in 2011, um, like to party. So that like to party from 2011, 2019 then it still filtered into 2012, and then he dropped live in 2013. And I felt like that album, that was really, a really good album. But again, there was no songs at that time that stood out ex like expressively stood out and comp that that kind of competed with the other songs that were out, if you know what I mean. There were songs that if you know music and you like to party, like you not like to party the song. I'm talking about you like to go out and listen to music, you'll be like, Yeah, this burner boy is cold. Because yeah, man. For me, that's what I I would say. Life is a classic, um, African Giant's a classic, twice as tall is a classic.

SPEAKER_17

I agree with you with African Giant. I definitely agree with you with Twice as Tall, but that's where it starts for me. You know what I'm saying? Because part of my criteria of classics is how many skippable songs are on the album. You get what I'm saying? Could you really call an album classics if it has a lot of skippable songs? I don't think so.

SPEAKER_09

No, I think the reason why those two albums you've mentioned, which are again very they're the most one of the most commercial songs in his catalogue. I always say this to people if you notice a lot of people who mention classics, they don't mention classics from a place of them listening. It's with most of these things are conditioned. Like this album, they're not saying you, but in general, that's what people go for because that was the era where everything was really heightened. Like, oh burner, burner, burn.

SPEAKER_17

I think I think he was in his absolute superpowers, yeah, those two years.

SPEAKER_09

But that's what happens with Halo effect. That's what happens when you have a banger. The next one somehow, because we're already conditioned now to your excellence, you know. I mean, we're not used to it because that um African Giant was like, What the heck is this? This is amazing. This is an album from an African artist. We're still on that buzz and that on that high. Then Twice I still came. Remember? So it's like, yeah, this guy is the goal, man. This guy is great, it's amazing, amazing. So obviously, from there, I don't know what happened in the other one. What's the name of the album again? The one that is life, sorry.

SPEAKER_17

Um, Love Damini.

SPEAKER_09

Love Damini. Love Damini was okay. It was not classic, it was there's some good songs on there that I really like.

SPEAKER_17

Um I just feel like I just feel like, yeah, I don't know if you watch basketball, yeah, but in basketball, it's it's not really lie down football in football, right? But in basketball, you always have your Western Conference finals and then your finals and all that kind of stuff, right? So when you look at bonus ascension, yeah, when you look at um outside, he was there, he was knocking on the door. You got what I'm saying? He was knocking on the door, and then we African Giant, he was him. You know what I mean? He got into his superpower, right? And then twice as tall, he was still there. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. That was like his absolute superpower. You got I mean, them two years and everything, and then Love Damini has really wonderful songs, you know. I think it it has a classic song with last last. You know what I mean? But I don't think the album is a classic album.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_17

You got what I'm saying? But I think from there as well, he kind of plateaued again. You know what I'm saying? But but I think them two albums are classic.

SPEAKER_09

I know, yeah, that's absolutely true. I know those two stand out again. Most times when things happen in people's lives, people forget that some of the things that you are you react to the quickest is from a is you've been conditioned anyway. So I'm not saying his albums are not good. Of course, the classics, but remember, it's coming from a high, we're still on a high, you still love him because at that time you're like he's a new artist to you, to those people that don't know that you know. So, of course, the next album, you're gonna judge it, and regardless, you're gonna like it anyway because it's like yo, this guy's good anyway. So that's the thing, it's a psychological thing, it just happens a lot of times. Then after a while, the that excitement dies, you know, the the the arousal then drops, and then you start to like feel like now you're not more as invested, now you're really now having to scrutinize, critique, listen to the album properly. No more like you know, you're not just listening to the album because you like burnout, but you're now listening to it as yeah, I'm gonna listen to this music. I know what it is, I know what he can do, but now let's listen to it and see it. That's why a lot of those albums after that, people are saying, uh, the album has got this song. Because now people are now finally listening. They're not just going based off the bars or the Excitement. So yeah. But yeah, those two albums.

SPEAKER_17

I remember when he performed this at the stadium, bro.

SPEAKER_05

I don't know if you were there, but this is what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_17

Bro, different bro.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah. Now he's a performer, man.

SPEAKER_17

Bro, different. That's the reason why when I say, when I say what I say about him for this year, right? When I say yo, I need him to go back to is because I know. I I I felt it. I was at the stadium. I know when he was here. He's still he's still him. Yeah. But I think obviously he's rich right now. You get what I'm saying? Like he's rich. My man's belly's full. You gotta say my man's belly's full right now, bruv. You get me? So which I don't blame him. Yeah, they know because because when you redeep it, right? That's a reason why not a lot of people still maintain that standard, right? When their belly is full.

SPEAKER_09

No, it's difficult.

SPEAKER_17

It's very difficult.

SPEAKER_09

Ronaldo and Messier are just anomalies. But the truth is, and Chris Brown and probably Michael Jackson is like so rest in peace. And a few other artists. But remember, once you're rich, your environment changes, your experiences have they now they've now changed. Now some artists need to then start making music from the new found experience. But they don't do it. Yeah, they still want to find a way to stick to what they're doing. So shout out to like your maybe like a whiz or something now. He's doing this sexy because that's his own sound now. He wants to do that.

SPEAKER_17

Whiz which we're still gonna jump into that.

SPEAKER_09

So I guess, but for me, Bernaboy is still there, but I know what you mean by the song is not hitting the same because if you play 23, you can hear the hunger. Oh, yeah. That it's like, yo, I'm here now. Ain't no one chatting to me. Like, no one can chat, nothing to me. Like, you can just hear it. And then you listen to what's the name of the last album?

SPEAKER_17

Um, No Sign of Weakness.

SPEAKER_09

No sign of weakness. You can hear some of the songs, you can just hear the production is what's carrying the song. Yeah, but the album is again. I still like the album. I know a lot of people are uh the album is not all that fair enough. But you see that come on, man. Man is doing songs with Travis, bruh. Levels have changed, yeah. It's gonna sound differently. You know, it's just a shame. I just want this artist to really and I you don't have to because it's your music, it's your art, but just share your experience. That's I understand. Listen, I know the women you guys are dealing with is not the same that most of your fans are dealing with, right? Of course, but you can still dive into some of your experiences. Yeah, that's a whole thing. Like I woke up one day, you know, I know I've got these cars, but I just feel like I don't want to drive. Like, just get us into it. It's like you doing a vlog, your daily, just daily life kind of vibe. Just put that in music.

SPEAKER_17

Do you know what? That's a very good point. Yeah, you got me your daily life, your vlog, and everything. Because a lot of my friends, listen, it's not hidden. I love Jay-Z, right? But a lot of my friends criticize Jay-Z. They're like, yo, fam, he's always talking about his billions, he's always talking about art and paintings and all the kind of shit.

SPEAKER_09

That's his life. I said, fam, that's his life. Exactly. I want to hear that.

SPEAKER_17

That's what I want to hear. I want to hear that. I don't want to hear you 50 years old talking about shoo shoo bang bang. Or talking about drugs. Exactly. You don't do that. Exactly. So let's relax. You know, I know that that's not the life you're living.

SPEAKER_09

Tell me about the arguments you've had with your daughter. She's going, she's now a teenager, or just about to be a teenager, right? In Jay-Z's case, right? Wanna hear that? Well, how was the conversation? What did you feel? You were like exactly that in the background, rah, your wife, your arguments, you know, blah. That's why I love 444. I don't care what anyone says. That album is amazing. Yeah, it's such an amazing album. Same here, bro. Same here. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_17

444, the the cutters as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The cutters yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, so to me, that's kind of what I want, you know. But listen, at the end of the day, shout out to Bonner, though.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, shout out to Bonner. My man doing his thing. Happy birthday once again, my guy. Happy birthday to you. I'm not a guy to do this happy birthday to celebrities. I don't know.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, no, no, no. I'm not, but but hey, that's yeah, since since we're here, go salute man, yeah. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_09

Shout out to you, man.

SPEAKER_17

For for what he's done.

SPEAKER_09

You're probably not gonna see this, but I repeat, shout out to you, my guy. Yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER_17

You gotta say, but listen, he's about to tear up Portugal tonight, bro. Afro nation.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, yeah, is it? Oh, yeah, that stuff is still good.

SPEAKER_17

Afro nation. Afro nation is yeah, I mean, tonight, tomorrow, and um yeah, and Sunday. You go, I mean, so a lot of people are flying out of there, bro.

SPEAKER_09

We're gonna see videos and a lot of people are flying out of there and everything.

SPEAKER_17

I've never been, I've never been to Afro Nation, you know.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, same here.

SPEAKER_17

I've never been there.

SPEAKER_09

I'm so happy, man. Go, thank you for making me like this. I have no FOMO. Like, do you know how great that feels like? I could just see some of it. Okay, whatever.

SPEAKER_17

I'm gonna say, like, it just won't ever want to say an Airfing. Thank you. No, the first day I would have gone and everything, but I just don't know why I didn't go. My friends went, but something happened at EF, you know. But listen, at the end of the day, I'm sure it's a good time over there. I'm sure it's a good time. People are flying out there and everything, bro. You know, I was kind of looking at I I had to sort of remind myself of um the lineups and everything. It's obviously super stats. You got what I mean? So I believe tonight the headliner tonight will be Bonaboy and then Tyler. Oh my god, Tyler. Yeah, tonight Bonner Boy and Tyler will be doing their thing. Then tomorrow, that's Saturday, will be Asha Kay. Then Sunday will be Whisked, then special guests will be Gunnar and Kelani. Now, I don't want to be that guy. I don't want to be that guy. But I saw a name on the second tier. I don't know how I feel about it. On the second tier and everything, yeah. So a lot of people don't know that when you look at posters and everything, yeah, the bigger the names.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, of course.

SPEAKER_17

You know what I'm saying? I honestly think that Olamide has earned the right to be with the big boy. Why is it with this thing of I don't think Olame Day should be in the second tier?

SPEAKER_09

Okay, they're looking at it as a draw. So of course, at this point, again, for me, I'll pick Olamide every single day of the week over Bernaboy, over anyone. I'll be honest with you, because that is for me is the greatest artist to come out of Africa. For me, not just purely for the music, for his influence, for his legacy, and just him as a human being, and how to carry yourself as a businessman, as a music uh, right? Cool. That's said, that's established. The reason why is obviously you want people to buy tickets. So, Tyler, at this current time, if this was Olame Day in 2013, of course Olame Day's name would be bigger. That's a fact. But we're in 2026. Olame Day is still a big artist, but he's not as popular, and it's not as he's not an international draw, is that what you're trying to say? It's just not a draw compared to Tyler, compared to your wiskade compared to Burnaboy, and that's just the truth.

SPEAKER_17

How about Ashake?

SPEAKER_09

Oh, 100%. He's not a draw compared to Ashake. Because these are the guys that are right now in their form. Like people in the international market see them as the faces of Afrobeats. They don't see Alamide as the face of Afrobeats. I see him as that, but guess what? That's because I know the roots. I know you know I'm Nigerian and I understand what Alameday means to me and to the industry. But these other guys, they see it as money. They're not looking at, oh, let's make him headline because that's yeah, that's the truth.

SPEAKER_17

It's so funny that you said that, right? In regards to the faces of Afrobeats and everything. Yeah, if you're to ask that now today, who is the current face of Afrobeats?

SPEAKER_09

That's a that's a that's a two-edged sword question, in a sense, right? So are you talking for the international market or international market? Oh, yeah, it's gonna be Burner Boy, Tyler, Whiskey, David O, the people that are somehow in the charts. That's what that's those are the faces.

SPEAKER_17

You think that those are still the faces of Afrobeats, or has someone like Ashake taken over?

SPEAKER_09

Ashake is in the mix.

SPEAKER_17

Because the reason why I say because the reason why I say that is some people my the names that you just named right now, apart from Tyler, are legacy acts.

SPEAKER_09

That's what some people think.

SPEAKER_17

Some people will say that, uh right, because yes, they they pushed Afro B to the forefront or whatever, but they uh they can be considered the legacy acts. But when you when you're talking about the current form right now, yeah, no, Ashake is the same. Some people will say Ashake is the central face right now.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, he's leading the pack. Some people say Rema, but the truth is we have to be real. Bernabo and David and Wiskid are still the faces. I still faces. I don't see them as legacy yet, which is a shame.

SPEAKER_17

You mentioned Rema, hold our thoughts. You mentioned Rema, right? Because I was thinking about that. Remmer is like your Travis Scott, right? Remmer has his own core fan base in the corner somewhere, right? He he might be tearing up Morocco, India. You might not even hear about it. You get what I'm saying? He is killing you over there. You might not even hear about it. I think he leaned one way, right? Someone like Thames leaned the other way. But I think Ashake is very centralized, if that makes sense.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, because Ashake is, if anything, he's brought into the idea of his own identity. So you can tell that no matter what it is, he finds a way to still infuse his identity into music. He always does. He would always find a way. He can he can drop a song now that is meant to speak English, Ashake will find a way to make it and speak his language in it. And even the cadence would you would know that, oh, that's an African artist. Do you get it? That's one thing about Ashake. That's why Ashake is very like when you when you think of him and when you see how he moves, you can only see you can only understand why he's now one of the big faces or major faces of the of the of the scene or the because of how he does it. You know, um if I don't know anything about Bernab, I've never met him. I'll think he's an American artist. That's just the way he dresses or whatever. I'll just think, oh, he's maybe like um what's it called? A Jamaican artist or an American artist or South American, whatever it is. Yeah, if I see Whiskey, I'll think, yeah, it might be a British artist or an American artist. If I see David, all of that until they speak, and I'll be like, oh, with Ashake, same same thing, but there's something with the way Ashake moves, you know this brother's African. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. If it's his Gorimakpa is head, if it's his Ogor, you know that yep, this guy is African.

SPEAKER_17

I'm as a big head, bro. Hammerhead of horror, bro.

SPEAKER_09

Ah, not too much of my guy, Ashake.

SPEAKER_17

Nah, listen, bro. Hey, listen, listen, listen. I'll be the first one to tell you, bro. That was my nickname when I was a little kid, bro. Hammerhead of horror. Fama had a big head, bruv. Fam. What the hell?

SPEAKER_18

Oh man, listen.

SPEAKER_17

But I hear you though, which is the reason why I hear some people because I had this conversation with a couple of my boys and F. And one person said, yo, that he thinks the face today, the current face today, is Ashake. I won't deny, I won't deny disagree with that. He looks at he looks at the likes of um Whisked, Davido, um Bonner as legacy acts. They are always gonna be there. Okay, you gotta say, like they've earned, like, for example, see it this way football. Cristiano Ronaldo, messy. You can consider them legacy acts, though.

SPEAKER_09

But legacy acts are people that are not necessarily called to the party, they will call them just to contribute, but they're not the face of something. That's what legacy acts are, and that's the truth. So you can't consider someone legacy act when they're still at the forefront of the industry. Like we just talked about Afro Nation. Guys, look at the guys that are headlining the thing. A legacy act does not necessarily headline for legacy acts, it will either be like a tour for them because they're legacy acts, but them headlining all the things that young people are gonna be there for, come on. Because legacy acts is for you know if B2K are doing, yeah. Sorry to mention B2K, but it's a legacy act, um, Bow Wow, Legacy Act, Snoop Dogg, Legacy Act. Jay-Z before I would say, but not now, in a sense, you know. It's like someone saying Drake is a legacy act. That's that don't make any sense. No, no, that don't make sense. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. There you go. So how relevant Drake is, that's how relevant these guys are still. That's how they still are. Yeah. Now then you have your David O, you have your Rema, you have your Wiz Kid. The reason why Ashake is like the and shout out to Wiz. He's he for him, he saw he he's one of those people that can he's one of the people, no, just only him. He's one of those guys that can see what it is about someone, and that's why he kind of he aligns with Ashake. You know what I mean? Because they get on with they get on with each other, and and you can see that's the reason why they get on like House on Fire, because he can see that yo, this brother is next.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

He's gonna be the one. So Ashake is not 22. Ashake is not Ashake is uh grown, grown, grown man, you know. So but that's the state we're in, where uh you would think the younger ones would be the ones, you know, carrying on the I would say, pushing the um the industry and the genre forward to another place, but they're not really. It's only Rema that's young. Remah is not even considered young anymore, he's like 25 or so. So his frontal lobe is really developed, so he's now fully aware of the things he's doing and what he's doing.

SPEAKER_17

So basically, you're all saying that the older guys as well are still doing the heavy lifting.

SPEAKER_09

There you go. There you go. Because if they release songs today now, loads of streams, loads of streams, you know what I'm saying? So that's the thing. If you put up uh content now and their name is mentioned, but is that a good thing or a bad thing? That's a bad thing for the industry. That's a bad thing for the industry. That's not really the greatest thing because you want the nest, at the nest to carry on the side.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

That's why in football you see they have academies. Some players are there to be sold. They're just there to make money because they see you as we don't know if you're going to carry this club to the next place, but we know we can make something from it from you by selling you, right? That's the same thing with music. You see an artist and a record label go get another one that might be similar or maybe a bit different because they're like I can see this one, it's gonna peek, it's gonna plateau. And we need to invest in this person. But we don't we don't have that right now. Yeah, everyone is just doing everything, people are just dropping music every Friday, and uh blogs are sending putting things like oh, whiskey was outside last night.

SPEAKER_17

Who cares? Who cares? Yes, he was outside. Yeah, you really serious who cares? I'm not gonna lie to you, bro. If I was an artist sometimes, yeah, if I was a celebrity, I I understand the reason why they are probably pissed because bro, can I can can I just cheat cheat in peace, bruv? Can I cheat in peace? You got what I'm saying, like I am maneuvering doing my thing and everything, and all you cameras are following me, and the next thing, boom, my girl at home will see that I'm somewhere and all that, bro. Can I can I can I move in peace?

SPEAKER_09

Imagine telling your girl, yo, baby, I'm just traveling to Morocco for this gig, you know. You got me, I'll be back home tomorrow. Yeah, yeah. Then suddenly, uh she look on her phone, yeah. Tobs outside, pattying with she vibes, two hours down the road. Hey, what's going on? It doesn't look like Morocco. Start to call your phone, yeah. What's going on, bro? You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_17

So I can understand the reason why they flip out some of these paparazzi sometimes. Yeah, man. Trust me.

SPEAKER_09

Hey guys, it doesn't make any sense, you know. But shout to our artists, man.

SPEAKER_17

Everyone doing their thing, man. Everyone doing their thing, you know, talking about doing their thing, bro. Listen, I'm sick and tired of talking about these two people sometimes, bruv. Udumodu and black bones, bro.

SPEAKER_09

Udumodu black.

SPEAKER_17

They decided to do um spitting competition, bruv. In it, what a joke.

SPEAKER_09

Uh what a joke. Let me let me let me get my ball of them message out.

SPEAKER_17

Fam, the ball that saw each other. Fight. Why don't you want to fight? You guys are running mouth on social media the whole fucking time.

SPEAKER_09

But then that was where my own conversation.

SPEAKER_17

But then my man now came out on X and wherever saying, Oh, um, we are in the country where there are so many cameras. You ask you ask some of the biggest cameras in the world, and you wanted me to. I said, Oh, okay. Here you go. I thought that that you were a gangster.

SPEAKER_09

You get what I mean? I thought that you're a gangster. But that's where I um that's where I was the quote. I was when I made my tweet during the week after seeing it, I was just more upset about that. Like I didn't, I wasn't talking about who was guilty, who wasn't guilty, because I don't know the real truth.

SPEAKER_17

No, of course not.

SPEAKER_09

But I was just thinking that, yo, why are we having people spit? You know, whether the other one spat on purpose and the other one was mimicking the other person's. Regardless, both of you did, and I think that was like kind of pathetic. That was really pathetic. It's still childish. No, it's very pathetic. And and I think to myself, okay, cool. On site, I believe I don't believe in violence, I don't think they should be fighting, but be careful what you say.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, but if you guys are saying, or rather, if one person is running his mouth on socials the way he's running his mouth on social and everything, I expect you to demonstrate once you see this other person who gives a hell where you guys are.

SPEAKER_09

So for me, then okay, shout to my brother Odomo the Black. Odomodo Black saw my tweet or whatever, I don't know. He's uh then he reached out to me. So please bear with me, guys, follow me as I read this. I've got too many chats with me and Odomody Black, so I need to find everyone. So um yes, so this was it 30th of June. So after my tweet saying, guys, I'll paraphrase my tweet because I can't bother to start searching. I don't want to waste time here.

SPEAKER_17

So I said, Oh, I can't believe we have first of all easy okay, weave you reading that on the board.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, okay, cool.

SPEAKER_17

That's fine.

SPEAKER_09

I'm just because I said I was gonna I'll read it so you guys understand what the conversation is. So this is what Odimodi Black said to me. He said, I know expects say you go to talk with you, they talk after knowing that this boy sexually abused my baby. But it's all good and fine. God is great. Wait, he's babe. Yeah, that's what he said. Okay. Then I replied, I said, Bro, whatever I tweeted is strictly on the antics of. Both of you spitting on the floor. Ask anyone who knows me. I've always said I love OD. You know me, I've said that 10 times. OD is my guy. Trust me, I do really like OD. I just yeah. And I say, now, this is the first time you're telling me this. I didn't know Black did that to your babe. For that, I'm sorry to hear that. No one deserves to see their loved one violated. Again, my tweet will always be about the antics. I'm a very objective being. To be clear, neither I nor any of my guys will ever condone sexual assault.

SPEAKER_17

Absolutely not.

SPEAKER_09

I hope you get justice.

SPEAKER_17

We even said yeah, if black bones did it, he deserved to be thrown under the jail.

SPEAKER_09

Yep, that's what I said. That's it. My guy Odi Odi Odi Modi Black replied, say, You cannot say that you did not know my bro. I have been singing it for the past few days, but nobody wants to listen because it's OD. He was arrested, jailed, the boy paid settlement. The boy wrote his statement of apology. The boy put up an apology and brought it down.

SPEAKER_17

So he's talking about black ones. Yeah.

SPEAKER_09

My brother, I have never heard you say anything about it. Saying I've never he's never heard me say anything about the case. I can't say something I didn't know nothing about.

SPEAKER_17

Bro, I'm just hearing for the first time that he got arrested.

SPEAKER_09

He said, the standards are different when it's me, but God is great. The truth will always prevail. Imagine the rules were reversed. We should bring proof. I just did what I had to I just did what I did to show all of you. Like I said from day one, it is not a rap beef. A man was rejected by a babe, and because of his ego, he started spreading lies and rumors. Other girls are reaching out to me. I hope you all stand up and speak with the same vim. I don't expect it though. I'm hoping. And I said, bro, come on. People sing about things every day, but we all take it with a pinch of salt. Normally, when an arrest happens, there'll be pictures everywhere. I lie. Don't you know blogs will run with this song? On God, I didn't know. But again, I'm sorry you had to go through that, and I pray your babe finds solace and heals. I will address this publicly now that you personally told me, which I am doing, correct? So about am I true to my word? Yeah, cool. Then he said, My brother, you're asking me for proof. I am not a mad person, I am a well-established artist. For me to come out and say such puts me at risk. I say, No, nowhere did I ask for that. I'm taking your word for it. And yeah, it's a long way. All of that. Yeah, I don't want to waste you guys.

SPEAKER_17

That is crazy.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, but like you said, he said that publicly. I didn't know. That's the only reason. The only reason I'm even reading the message out is because he said he's been saying it in the song. So that means it's a public thing. He is he's saying we we all we should all be aware of this, right? Basically, he's saying we we are aware of this and we're not saying anything, bro.

SPEAKER_17

I'm just hearing it for the first time, bro. On here right now, that yeah, on here right now that Blackbones got arrested, yeah, for sexual assault.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, I didn't know that, bro. I didn't know that. I didn't know that. I didn't know that one.

SPEAKER_17

But so hey, listen.

SPEAKER_09

For for me personally, if okay, I don't want to say if because that'll say that'll sound insensitive. I have to use if because because you're not there, I wasn't there.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, so you go I mean, and and at this very moment, yeah, it's unfortunate, but it is still his words against homeboy's words and everything. You know what I'm saying? I I I have not seen any photo. Same here, I have not seen any outlet, any blogs, whatever, right about black bones getting arrested for sexual violence and everything. You get what I mean? So I'm listening. Everybody knows me. Everybody know me when it comes to sexual violence. I'm the person that came here. We were just having a random conversation, and I told you that homeboys should be arrested for what he said about Adequigo's wife. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That stuff happened. I think I think the video where he said was like about two years ago. I'm still talking about it. Yeah, you get what I'm saying? When it comes to sexual violence against women, especially in this industry, because we know how this industry is. Yeah, you get what I'm saying? So I'm the person that will always come on here and say, yo, if my man did it, he should be in, he should be in jail. You got what I mean? So I don't want Odie or the mode of black, I say Odie as if I know him, I don't know him, but I don't want Odomed Black to think, oh, we are in cahoots with the powers that be because we are trying to know. You got me? I don't know none of these people.

SPEAKER_09

Like I said, I said to him, now that I know this, I'll address this publicly. And all I can say to this is I hope justice is violated person gets justice. Whoever gets violent. Because people forget that there's emotional emotional violation, there's sexual violation, personal violation, financial violation, there's all sorts of violations, right? So, in any way, if Odis lying, I hope black gets justice. And if um black is lying, I hope Odie gets justice. And if there's a woman in between this that really got assaulted, then yo, justice definitely has to be served. So for me, I just want to say that I personally don't condone this. Of course, Tobes doesn't. So I pray and I hope this gets solved immediately.

SPEAKER_17

And I also think that whoever the lady is, God bless her, but she also needs to come out and say, Yep.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, for real, though. For real. I'm not gonna lie. This case at this point, so that we can arrest if it if truly black did it, then we can get him off the streets.

SPEAKER_17

Look expedit expeditiously, bro.

SPEAKER_09

Not just expeditiously, bro, like under the jail. The quickest way, you have you have you seen when you run someone out of a place? You know what I mean? Yeah, you know what I mean? And if it's all our made up stuff, then that's not cool. You know what I mean? You can't be putting down someone's jacket. That's crazy, man.

SPEAKER_17

But hey, we'll see what happens, man. You got me, we'll see what happens and everything, man. You know what I mean? Hey, listen. Yeah. That's a bit for a tough one right there. I'm not gonna lie. That's a bit for tough tough um read. Yeah, that's a bit of a tough read and everything, because it sounds like it's some real shit happening behind the scenes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got what I mean. God damn. All right then, all right then, cool, bro. Listen, let's jump into some music conversation and everything, bruv. Yeah, man. Have you heard the new um Joe J?

SPEAKER_09

I can just say I haven't heard anything. Joe Jasmine, that's what I was. I was trying to say to this guy offline, and trust me, my life right now, if he doesn't bring topics, I don't know what's going on. Except someone tags me. I really don't. I don't go on my ex like I the other day. I that's when this whole conversation I said, you know what? I've been away for too long. Let me just go on my ex. And I saw people spitting, and that's where this. So imagine if I didn't go on my ex that day to type anything. This I won't be having a message, nothing. I won't know nothing. So I've gone on my ex to type just to see what the in you know what the the the scene is talking about. So I haven't heard any music, you know. You know me, guys. I like to listen to music when I'm reacting, but but at this point, brother. All right, then cool. Let's hear it.

SPEAKER_17

Should we check it out then? Yeah, new George Smith featuring Wiscade alive. Let's go.

SPEAKER_00

Oh night, you make me feel so alive. Don't stop while you're doing it right. You make me feel so life when you have all night, I could do it. You make me feel so never put on it.

SPEAKER_17

Let's go.

SPEAKER_15

I put the type of make you want to make it. Oh, you like your dog, I like your buttons. Oh, baby, make you all the buttons, no big Oh my god.

SPEAKER_16

Oh you know what I'm gonna be controlling everything up with my face, yeah, yeah, yeah. Make out you, I know what I'm gonna be doing, make a joyous breath, they come back to make them New Georgia Smith, future in whiskey, alive, bro.

SPEAKER_17

Listen, that still hey, the instrumentals, the aura, the vocals, the percussions, the chemistry, everything 10 over 10, bro.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, man, that's decent song still.

SPEAKER_17

I'm telling you, bruv. Decent song. You got me and the song is yeah, it's a vibe.

SPEAKER_09

The bass is oh, the bass is crazy.

SPEAKER_17

And the reason why I say the chemistry, bro, when you watch the video, oh my god.

SPEAKER_09

I need to go see it, man. I need to get back in my bag.

SPEAKER_17

You gotta mean like you can tell, yeah. Whiskey is really, you know. Last week I came on here, right? And which I still have that thoughts. I still have that thoughts. I don't like the sexy title. I'll be the first to say. I don't like the sexy title. I think he's too grown for that title. That's what I think, right? I think we need some creative shit. You know what I'm saying? But you can tell that he's really leaning into that whole sexy vibe and everything. When you go watch that video with Georgia Smith or whatever, right? And the way my man, you know, he's he's he's fine boy and shit. You got what I'm saying? Like he's fine boy shit. He's really into that shit. You get what I'm saying? So I can understand why he would choose that title, even though I don't love it. Yeah, you got what I'm saying. I don't think where he is at the moment, yeah. Just leave that sort of title for for the young folks. Yeah, yeah. You got what I'm saying? I can see him, I I can see how he's leaning into that vibe.

SPEAKER_09

But we talked about people sharing their experiences in songs and in their arts. So I guess if he's around sexy women, yeah, you know, a man is smoking, you know, he likes his uh and he goes, and the girl's like, Oh, where's what would you name your album? And he goes, sexy Oh yeah, that's the man.

SPEAKER_17

I can see that happening still. I can see that happening. I can see that happening because I'm watching that video with Georgia.

SPEAKER_04

Oh boy.

SPEAKER_18

This guy like me.

SPEAKER_09

In real time, guys. Watch it. I've never seen Tom speak and look at the mama say watching a video.

SPEAKER_18

We just watch the video with like thumbs up and I don't see things like that because things like that irritate me.

SPEAKER_09

Yo, some of our uncles lies some of our uncles were liars. They will be seeing the video, like, what are you watching? Yeah, yeah. This this is nonsense. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_17

Deep down, we don't know what you're thinking. Yeah, this guy, man. You gotta be, but listen, bro. Listen, hey, great song, in my opinion. I absolutely love it. I've been banging it since yesterday and everything. So so far, Whiskey now has a song with Aristar, he has a song with Thames, Tyler, and then um Jojo Smith, yeah. Twa Savage.

SPEAKER_09

You know, but I'm talking about oh, yeah, the young um Mami Watas.

SPEAKER_17

So I can understand the reason why you say yo, he's sexy, yeah. Yeah, like he's around. He's being beautiful checks.

SPEAKER_09

So that's that that clearly influences the name of the album, which you're right. Uh it's not an album. Maybe, maybe when the album drops, I'll be like, I like the album. You understand, yeah. You see the way Ashakes one makes more very it makes all the sense. Money is just the perfect name, man. Because when you listen to that, you can just hear, yes, I see what this guy means. Yeah, man. Yeah, shout out to wise.

SPEAKER_17

Listen, shout out to them and bruv. Run time is coming.

SPEAKER_09

When he comes, when he comes, we'll see him.

unknown

You know what?

SPEAKER_09

This guy is the day they're coming. You know what?

SPEAKER_17

You are right. You are right. We'll see you, my guy. He is one guy when I look at him, right? He's one of them people that music came to him so I wouldn't say it came to him so easy. I think the talent, he is so talented, right? That maybe it was too easy for him that he probably didn't take it too seriously. Now, I don't know his backstory, I don't know what might that happen everything, but he is one guy who I say, what if I guess we'll never find out.

SPEAKER_09

I guess we'll never know, man.

SPEAKER_17

You know what I'm saying? Like, if he was consistent, him, Wanderko, who knows?

SPEAKER_09

Who knows where they would have been with Ron Town? I don't know. I just think he was pretty much like uh he was one of the guys that benefited from that era. I'm talking 2013, 14, 20, 15, and he spilled a bit into 60 2016 with the anonymous because he calls himself sound god, and I feel like to call yourself that, that's a big statement. So what then happened?

SPEAKER_17

But I understand why, because I only found out the other day he wrote one of Davido's biggest hits.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, of course. Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Bro, he's one of the one that I wrote it. One of the writers, to be fair. Yeah, but he but yeah, but the thing is, yes, and even in a Galado, and then even that like he's good at making rhythms and melodies, and in my opinion, he has one of the greatest Afrobeat songs ever.

SPEAKER_17

Which one? Um Mad Over You. Mad Over You.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, Mad Over You is really good. It's a good song. It's if you talk about songs that changed people's perception of Afrobeats and made it very much digestible. It's it's runtown. Runtown is the top ten artists that made Afrobeats palatable because of what was going on at that time. When you hear that, mm-hmm, no, yeah, you know.

SPEAKER_18

What?

SPEAKER_17

Tell you. Yeah, man. Tell you. He is one of them people. He's one of them people that when I look at him, oh shit. Hello, hello, hello. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, hello. Hello, hello, hello, hello. Bro, I can't even hear him hear myself on here. Can you hear me? No.

SPEAKER_09

I can hear you, but no. Oh, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_17

Hello, hello.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I just saw the red, I was like, I don't know what the fuck happened. Yeah.

SPEAKER_17

But um, he's one of them people that when I look at him, yeah. I'm like, I guess we'll never find out. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_09

To be fair, I've not I've never thought of it that far because I know again, no disrespect to run town. There's so many talented artists that someone like a techno, that's yeah. You know, so I put techno, runtown, all these people there because I feel like they have like a niche market. The more Afrobeat evolved, they they kind of just were relegated to this pocket of sound.

SPEAKER_17

Remember what you said earlier?

SPEAKER_09

If you're not going with that way, yeah, you're gonna let behind you're gonna get left behind, you know. And I feel that's what happened to Runtown, but you can still oh there's a song he did in his last album. So like if you go run time. If you go check on runtown, let me see if I can still see it here. That song is such an amazing song. So obviously obviously it's an interpolation, but it's just there you go, you you start to understand that oh okay, this guy's on a different library. Let me see. I might see it here. Run time the album is called Yes, my favorite, I just wanted to email it. So go to no no no, have you done no sign? Yeah, have you uh yeah, if you click on signs, the name the track is track signs. Oh I think it's the song.

SPEAKER_12

Money can last signs can just be the one in the track two.

SPEAKER_09

Sorry. To understand that, yeah, this guy he has a lot going in his mind. Oh mic, mic check. Mic check. Then you can now see what in his brain, you can you start to understand that okay, this guy has different sounds and he wants to get into, but it's just maybe it's not landed with a lot of people because people are now moving on to another type of sound, which doesn't take anything away from this sound. It's good, but the world has moved on. Yeah, it's moved on. You get what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_17

So definitely moved on. Yeah, definitely. I'm not gonna lie, I'm looking forward to his new his um new album. Same here, man. I'm definitely looking forward to his new album and everything, man. He's one of them people that you know I kind of want him to succeed.

SPEAKER_11

Yeah, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_17

I kind of want him to succeed. Same here. You know what I'm saying? I feel I I feel like someone like him in the scene is a positive.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, yeah. He's a different, he's got a different sound. Yeah, he's got a different sound.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, absolutely. And then obviously, that video is coming.

SPEAKER_09

Yaman. Orea day.

SPEAKER_17

Orea day.

SPEAKER_09

31st of July? Something like that. Well, I think 31st of July. Oh, 31st of July.

SPEAKER_17

Um, yeah, let's see. I saw that another thing, yeah. I was like, what happened to taking a break from music? You know what I mean? What happened taking a break from music? What happened to, listen, I'm taking a break. If when you go to the club, 20 hits is mine. You get me, you guys should enjoy it. What happened to, you know, new, new shit coming with Chris Brown and everything, bro? Like, yo. You get what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_09

If I speak, they'll say, oh, he doesn't like the video. I'll let you know.

SPEAKER_17

No, I mean, to me, that's how I look at everything, which I'm happy that a new album is coming, but sometimes artists just say shit, and and I'm like thinking, bro, you should not even have said it. Like, what's the point of saying it? Knowing that it's not happening. Well, at least it's not happening now. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_09

Still not saying anything. Guys, you heard I did not say a word. You didn't say anything. Shout out to David, man. My guy. Daffy D. Daffy D, David O. You know what I'm saying? Already. I'm actually looking forward to the album.

SPEAKER_17

No, I am, I am. And and I love the fact that he is channeling, I can't even speak. He's channeling the whole African thing.

SPEAKER_09

Oh, yeah, no, he's been doing that for a while. To be fair, he's the out of all the guys that we call the GOATs, he's the GOAT for the African sound, I would say, because he pushes the African stuff. No, no saying Ashakeda, of course Ashake does this. I'm saying the guy that's made it into his own thing. You know what I'm saying? Absolutely. Yeah, he's not trying to do a very too much, too international. He likes to keep it homegrown, homegrown, you know, take it to the roots. I'm looking forward to it, though. I'm not gonna lie. Same here, man. Yeah.

SPEAKER_17

I'm looking forward to it. Even though, even though obviously I was looking forward to the collab with Chris Brown, but Chris Brown is busy. Beasy and booked. Yeah, man. My mind's on stage grand on everything, bro.

SPEAKER_09

Trust me.

SPEAKER_17

I might as well stay grind on everything. Apparently, he has a new um album coming with Usher. I saw it somewhere.

SPEAKER_09

I'm not surprised. I did say to people it was gonna do it because they're going on tour, innit? I think the bottom are on tour now. That's what I'm saying. The album has to come up. So it has to come out of this relationship.

SPEAKER_17

Has to. Definitely has to. Yeah, I'm saying. You got what I mean. But listen, everyone is doing their thing though. Come on. Shout out to them. Shout out to everyone. Shout out to them. You get me. Bro, it's been a good one though, isn't it? Bro, come on, we've done it, we've done it. Great conversations and all that. You know, can't wait to see the post and the videos from Afro Nation. You know what I'm saying? I'm I'm looking forward to that. I'm not gonna lie.

SPEAKER_09

Like I said, guys, I've not been in the loop of anything. And I actually am enjoying it, but sometimes it's like, yeah, it feels like if he's bringing the topics and I'm not, then it looks like it's not fair anymore. But to be fair, I'm just happy I've been out of this Afrobeat nonf.

SPEAKER_17

Before we leave, bro, did you see that video of um Pooh Shice? Oh bro, said, Yeah, if you want to get dropped, you drop that was the first time I saw Gucci main. Gucci man was speaking at high peak, bruv. Gucci was not Gucci anymore, it was main. What he wasn't Gucci main, he was main, bro. I don't blame him though. I don't blame him, bro. Because I saw that video. I said, we only saw one person with a gun here. We don't know how many people are in that room. Yeah, bro. You got me, and and any bad, any wrong move, yeah, your your your TV is getting turned off. Bro, your TV's getting turned off because they didn't come there to play.

SPEAKER_09

Yeah, bro. They were ready to risk it all, bro. This is how you know someone is ready to risk it all. Let me walk you guys through it. When there's a lack of common sense, you just know that person, yeah. Do you know how many any come on, any building that is well furnished, well looked after, it's got cameras, and you guys are just turning up. That's why I always say to people anyone that you listen to a crime and they go, Oh, the guy made too many mistakes, bro. He didn't make a mistake. Man was ready to risk it all.

SPEAKER_17

I saw the text message and everything, bro. He said, he he put in the text message, right? The group chat. He said, Yo, I need six city um meaning certified shooters, you know what I mean, with two cars. And bro, everybody started me, take me, take me, take me, like literally. You know what I mean? You can tell. I saw that video, I was like, yo, my money's going down, bro. The feds are not gonna play with him. You know what I mean? Like the feds are not gonna play with him because this is not his first thing to go on the law. You gotta say, and sometimes you you know you hear stories about you know easy e and switch night and everything, all that stuff. But just seeing the video of it and and just see it play out in 2026, and that's the difference between 2026 and back then. Yeah, every everybody wanna record. Yes, even when they're committing crime, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_09

They want to record, or they have their phone on them committing crime. Any crime or any incident that you think ah, this lack, this is lack, loads of lack of common sense, bro. That person was always gonna be ready to risk it all. That's they gave up long time. They said, Um, I do or die. Today's today, bro. But shout out to them, man. Thoughts and prayers.

SPEAKER_17

Listen, I'm I'm not touching and prayer for them, bro. I'm I'm not toting and praying for them, bro.

SPEAKER_09

No, thoughts and prayers to Gucci men and okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_17

Yeah, this is what people they can go to jail, bro. Yeah, yeah, those guys don't mean they do not need art of the biggest. We don't need we don't need them in this society.
